The reader has unknowingly caught Billy butchers eye after being at many of the same functions he’s been at for work. Reader also has a hatred of the unjust world of supes and independently has been gathering useful intel but not entirely sure how to use it. Butcher gets suspicious of reader and begins to keep tabs on her, eventually approaching her and perhaps threatening to know what she’s up to/what she’s using the intel for (however you want to spin that). The boys decide she’s a risk and take her back to their hideout where Billy butcher and reader eventually form a bond, bonding over least favorite supes and reader getting teased

Perhaps fragile, innocent (not extreme in the cringe sense) reader. Include some blushing haha

You despised Supes. They were awful people, you learnt it the hard way when you say your mother be killed by one. It was an "accident" Vought said. It was to save others. Homelander blasted through five people to get to the criminal, people sliced in half by his laser beams. That's when you stopped believing that they were "heroes". Sure they were super, but if the face of the supes was a piece of shit, they all probably were.

Now you weren't physically strong, you mentally you were. You were able to gather intel on an arrangement of supes, mostly for people who wanted to get back at them so it was easy to blackmail or sue. You knew the deep dark underbelly of it all. You went to some functions disguised as a reporter, however you always got the sense you were being watched. Not just by supes, but something else, something that felt darker....

One night, you came home from the store, something felt off though. Being in New York where practically everyone was a target for hate, you were armed. You reached into your bag and pulled out a small revolver as you walked into your apartment. You aimed it at the corner where you saw two figures, then there was a click of the lamp being turned on. There was a man in a trench coat and a younger guy who looked terrified at you pointing the gun. "I-I didnt wanna break in he dragged me-!" He says and held up his hands.

"Who the fuck are you two and what the fuck do you want and WHY the FUCK are you in my house!?" You yell pointing the gun between the two. "Calm down luv. Just here to talk." The older man says standing up slowly and throwing a file on the coffee table. "You and I got some of the same interests." He hums, relaxed snd obviously not threatened by you at all. Bestie im worried again, like I’m glad Eddie looked proud/supportive of Buck for the kiss, but I can’t shake the feeling that they’re going to continue on with that and just have him be “supportive best friend” even though that would make no sense after how he was acting at the party.

I feel like they keep luring us in with subtext and setting up plots, just to flip the script completely and rip the rug out… like they did in ep 4 with building up the fact that Buck wanted Eddie’s attention the whole episode and then suddenly out of the blue…. it wasn’t Eddie’s attention he wanted?

None of it is making sense to me, and I’m scared they’re doing what other network programs always do and are just baiting us with the ship most of us want when they’re just going to leave us with something rushed snd watered down that has had like zero buildup or foreshadowing… like Buck’s sudden devotion and interest in Tommy came entirely out of left field and it feels so weird to me thst they’re keeping him here because it just doesn’t make sense.

As for episode four I think the fact that Eddie is SO heavily embedded in the episode was so hopeful for us, like the man’s name being used hit a record high in that episode istg😭😭 (saw someone say it’s the bechdel test except try not to talk about Eddie edition and that is the funniest and truest thing😭😭)

Like before 7x04 came out even and people were speculating bucktommy being a thing I was saying that the second they make one of them queer I would feel more sure that buddie canon is coming or is rather more definitely on the table and nothing I’ve seen since has changed my mind tbh

As for buck being suddenly devoted to Tommy, buck falls hard and fast like we know this about him so it makes sense I’m not saying that like oh yeah he’s in love with him and yada yada butttt he is enjoying his time and this new relationship and that’s good to see. Like the audience is meant to kinda feel what Buck feels so every scene with that relationship gives you that new relationship energy where it can go either way you know?

Currently on a Witchywool brain rot…. Hurggh I love em so much 😭❤️ How do you keep creating such interesting and unique dynamics to ships? Like, becoming obsessed with a bloodthirsty anthoropomorphic sheep and his star witch girlfriend playing god was NOT what I expected when I first played SnD, but here we are 💀

I have a few questions about them that I’d like to ask, if that’s alright!

1) We know that Stella came in from a shooting star… but where did she come from? What are her origins? I read in other posts that she was made out of concentrated stardust and that she came from an entire race of star people… is it alright if you can elaborate on that more?

2- Similarily, does Stella, Lambchop and the other characters have family or something? And if they do, are they going to be introduced sometime? Or will they just be unimportant NPCs?

3- If Stella and Lambchop ever enter a romantic relationship, how would everyone react? Especially Ruuuby; will she be upset at Stella, or will she accept it (after a lot of tears?)

4- Relating to the last question, how would they get together first? Would Stella develop romantic feelings and confess to Lambchop (probably in a VERY sweet and romantic gesture ❤️) or would it be something else that’ll bring them together?

5-What are their feelings about each other and the relationship in general? And what would their dynamic be like? Would it change much from their original friendship, or would it remain somewhat the same except with more physical affection?

6- What are their love languages for each other? (Gift Giving, Quality Time, etc…) As in, how would they show their love for each other?

7- And finally… what would their wedding be like? ;D

I am SO, SO SORRY if this is too much!!! 😥 It’s just that… well, I’d like to write a fanfic of these two someday… and since these two have less screen time together I am STRAVED for content about them, not blaming you, ofc!!! I think everyone would be a bit surprised, but happy for them! I answered once in another post that if Stella and Lambchop were to pursue a romantic relationship, Stella would try to set-up Ruuuby with somebody else to try and dampen the blow. If that didn't work, Stella would explain to Ruuuby very gently that she and Lambchop want to be together. Ruuuby would cry, upset that Lambchop doesn't like her, but would be happy for Stella because she loves Stella and wants her and Lambchop to be happy too! ===

I'm hoping that perhaps I can explain this a bit somehow in some of the arts I make of them! I can't see it ramping up to the level of being a game (especially because I don't want to take away from the themes of the original--and I've got other stories I want to make too!) but I think it might be a mix of a confession and something else. ===

If they were to officially get together I don't think it would change too much about their dynamic, but there would be a LOT of physical affection. Lambchop especially would be very clingy, always wrapped around Stella. Calling her things like "My Stella". They each have their own houses but I'm sure Lambchop would invite himself over to Stella's for a "sleepover" a lot, where they're forced to cuddle on her not-big-enough-for-2-people bed to fit (not that they're complaining) ===

I feel as though their love languages are like a mix of gift-giving and quality time, in their weird twisted ways. Lambchop kills people so Stella will have something to fix. So yeah this is shitty... but like in general like my personal stance is that all media should be consumed critically. we should be questioning the artistic choices of the characters AND the creators of the media. to me its worth it to be in the star wars fandom even though its drenched in cultural appropriation and racism because I'm actively critical of it and have a blog @starwarsfandomh8speopleofcolor with 1300 followers where I try to boost the voices of people of color in fandom.

Like to me part of the fun of media is dissecting it and its impact. to draw a line where you want to ignore something you should do so with some conviction. like a boycott for example!!

Its not for us at this blog to tell you not to engage with a certain media. That's not what we're here for. that's up to you and what you think you can tolerate in your media. generally though I try to see the media before I criticize it, (aside from the recent example of oppenheimer which I opposed on the grounds that nolan has a history of pro war pro military stances/propaganda).

From what we've seen both are extremely mentally unstable, especially glam in what is shown from his side of the story, I deeply apologize to all chesglam enjoyers (that includes myself as well) but truth is that ches is ignorant, selfish, reckless, and distraction driven, while glam is manipulative, controlling, unpredictable with his emotions, anger issues, etc, both of them are horrible to others at times (I'm not sure who is worse considering I don't have all their 'moral crimes' on a list ofc) but to be brutally honest, they're both bad people, everyone in this show is almost, (with the exception of heavy and lif) but we love them all BECAUSE its realistic, that's apart of the appeal, but with those two and their personalities at play, along with their dynamic, while at surface level seems like a pure dream, if we imagine chesglam from a realistic point of view

its quite horrifying to actually think about

With ches's substance ab*se problems he'd be unattainable, swift with his actions, and as we've seen, forgetful and careless, (ofc most of these issues are merely due to the actual substances effecting his body but still) while glam is controlling of smaller and bigger aspects, it's admirable when it's on more casual things like schedules and meal plans but pin that over to ches and their relationship and you can see where the problems would start to settle in, yelling at him during relapses as ches throws up in the bathroom, and insulting him (again mostly canon) but it being almost all the time?? Not to mention how when he has an idea of plan he literally doesn't pay attention or care about anything else, plus the lack of understanding towards how addictions work and how it effects the brain chemistry in the process would seriously lead to some loud and incredibly stressful nights for ches, but ofc he'd probably be high during it or just knocked out completely, also the way when ches lost his temper glam just immediately smacked him?? And slapping him across the face, over an emotional outburst, (yes i understand ches was insulting Victoria but like.. he didn't even know her??) and I'd prefer not to think about what exactly Glam would do to him if he actually did something wrong that was more important than what he said, in theory its ofc ok to ship them, suffer all they've had a lot of cute moments together and their friendship was genuinely healthy and more valuable when they were younger, it's just in my opinion, the combination of one guy being incredibly controlling and guilt tripping those he cares about to get what he wants and another guy who is addicted to seriously harmful substances and is emotionally unstable due to his mothers lack of attention and sudden absence and therefore being vulnerable as a result, is very... Interesting yet... You know... Not desirable to me to see or watch

THE SAD THOUGHTS

Race takes Finch to brooklyn after the strike to try and show him that he don't need to be scared.

Finch is wary but slowly relaxes watching them play cards.

Eventually it gets late and he falls asleep. And slowly the others do too.

Finch starts having a night terror after everything that had happened. His screams fill the brooklyn lodging pure panic in them, waking some of the brooklyners. Mack tried to shake him only to be met with a whimpers and pleading. "I'll be good please no more." Her blood freezes. She looks for Racetack who had blearily opened his eyes. The boy listens looking sad...this this had happened before then.

Stray was rubbing her eyes, frowning and her voice gentle. "Hey you're okay ain't no one hurting you here."

Finch twisted, trying to escape a phantom demon, trembling hard.

Spot looked at Race they seemed to share a silent conversation and spot moved forward.

"Finch Finch open your eyes for me," Spot said.

Finch tensed doing so only to come face to face with Spot. Of all the nights... He tried to make himself smaller.

"Sorry."

"Nah....yous need milk or something to get back to sleep?"

What doesn’t sit right with me is the government’s total lack of respect towards the boys. I mean what more do they want from bts? They’re willing to exempt athletes who no one’s heard of because “they’ve been tied with national prestige” but not the boys? Lmao and bts hasn’t? This has got to be the biggest joke ever. They should either change the wording for their exemption rules or simply admit that they cannot stand exempting musicians like bts. Let’s be real, South Korea is a popular destination today MAINLY because of bts. Kpop is relevant in the west BECAUSE of bts. Bts contributes SIGNIFICANTLY to South Korea’s GDP. Bts were named ambassadors. They have ticked more boxes in the exemptions rules than anyone else yet they’ve been dragged around for years? I’m glad they decided to take matter into their own hands, this has got to be the biggest fuck you to the government ever. Now watch, South Korea’s GDP will take a hit, the tourism sector will plummet, kpop will loose its relevancy these next couple of years because bts won’t be able to attend American award shows. It’s over for them, by playing games and acting like spoilt and ungrateful children, they have passed over the reigns to bts. They’re the ones in control now in relation to all these sectors and there’s nothing the government can do about it anymore.

It’s not even about the fact that the boys must serve in the military (as that is an honor for Korean men), it is about the government’s shitty treatment of the boys and their blatant ignorance of bts’ impact and duty towards their country. They have done more than enough, South Korea wouldn’t be where they are today if it weren’t for them and that’s just a fact. What more can they do to prove that they’ve done enough for South Korea? I just don’t get it.

And the govt would earn the money they make?? Just as things started getting easier after the cluster fuck that was the end of last year for me, and finally getting a new car after my car broke down, new car got stolen, and I basically had to teach myself manual on the temp car I was driving.

I spent 7 hours today waiting to get my cat in with the vet because he has an issue with his eye that could be trauma that needs to heal. Or it could be a tumor.

I don't have the money to make an appointment with a normal vet because I work commission and people don't want to spend money in winter around the holidays so I took him to an urgent care in a non profit organization that I used to get my other cat spayed for $150(plus a chip and shots and stuff) compared to $800 it would cost everywhere else.

They are walk in exclusive and only allow so many patients in a day so once it's full thats it. Went 7:30am to be there when they open to make sure I'd get in because when you get there doesn't matter, it's determined by severity of each pet to make sure those who have more immediate needs are taken care of, and understandably an eye issue like he had isn't high priority. But it wasn't until 2:30, when they close at 3pm that I went and asked if they'd still have time to take in my cat and check on him bc I know they close soon, and I was being extremely patient despite crying in my car for hours while my cat cried because he was both in a cage and in a car which he hates for hours, because it'd non profit snd the fact it would only cost me maybe $150-$200 was my only option.

I guess they completely overlooked him. So they didn't realize that I had still been waiting with him to be seen after 6.5 hours.

But they waived the exam fee and had given me a bunch of different medications for him to make sure he'd be good and comfortable and didn't charge me for that either because of the situation. They want me to bring him back next week, and assured me this won't happen again, so they can followup and confirm what's going on.

I want to say his eye isn't as red as it was on Tuesday when I noticed it, but I csnt say for sure. They said it was a good sign I'd thst is the case, so I just need to keep an eye on him.

He's already like 11 years old, and I've had him since he was so small he fit in 1 of my hands. He's my grumpy little baby and he's grumpy at everyone but he adores me and would let me do anything to him. He complains if I smother him with love frequently but whenever I don't he starts coming up and getting really affectionate and needy on me and everything because he does like it. He's just a sensitive lil boy and most people don't respect or care for what he likes or not enough for him to actually like them like he does me and my roommate. She's like the only one that's properly respected what I say and he shows that he likes or doesn't like, or how to tell if hes fine being held if/by the noise he makes when you pick him initially.

He's /my/ first pet and my first cat and my brother used to say I stole his kitten he found, even though he had a cat already, and it was established if we got another cat, they would be my cat. It took a couple of years because we were young, but he full heartedly admits Ezekiel has most certainly always been my cat, and he was just jealous because he wanted a kitten.

My other cat, Pudge, is even his daughter.

I've just been so worried about if this could mean something else is wrong with him I couldn't just wait to see how it goes I don't know how quickly some of these medical issues escalate but I know some of them can be quickly.

in a world where everyone has fire powers and everyone is ruled by the rich (aristocracy)

the commoners basically live like slaves (if you serve an aristocrat) because of horrible work contracts where aristocrats take almost all the profit

anyways i’m on an airship and i’m talking to a janitor who i find out is a resistance fighter and wants to bring down the aristocracy

he says he came here to sabotage the ship but when i point out that’ll kill everyone including the aristocrats he gives his job to me

so i go to the engine and under the pretense of cleaning i wipe across it and dislodge a few wires

i set the wires on fire too

oh, and most everyone in this society has fire powers to different strengths. the world is mostly built on metal since metal doesn’t burn i walk back out and join the commoners in the lower class deck of the air ship

it’s just a big empty metal room bc the aristocrats really do not care about us

i talk to this girl who’s a few years younger than me

the plan is that ill leave it to burn for a bit and then i’ll run to the lord’s office and tell him about it and gain his trust

when i get there, though, (uh oh) someone else is already telling him although he’s just saying the wires were dislodged… i guess my fire burned out

anyways, they’ll catch me no matter what so it’s better to just give myself up under the pretense that i’m harmless

so i rush in and say “that was me, sir, and i’m so terribly sorry. i must’ve dislodged them when i was cleaning.”

he narrows his eyes and says “who are you?”

“the janitor, sir”

he slides a contract at me and says “sign this. you’ll work for me until you pay back the damages done”

i become one of his workers

i tell this to the girl who i talked to and she tells me she’ll go with me since she has nowhere else to go

we land and the lord’s son (mini-lord) tells me i’ll just serve him drinks as he takes his sword fighting lessons

he tells me to get hot cocoa so i do from a drink dispenser

i bring him hot cocoa and he says “i’ve been sparring i can’t drink that!”

so i leave but as i’m walking away he says “wait! i want cold water!”

i tell him “i don’t know where that is, sir”

he leads me to a packet rack and takes of a packet labelled pure cold water

he says “here it is!” and starts to mix the packet with water from the water dispenser

i say something complimentary sarcastically and as i walk away he says “you could at least try to sound more admiring!” i ignore him

side note: the water of the society we live in has been pretty much totally filthied due to lots of smoke and ash and the like most plants and things have also pretty much died out

drinks now come in ‘packets’ which are artificial flavorings and you can mix it with water and it automatically purifies + flavors

the reason there’s a packet for cold water is because water cannot feasibly be cold in this world anymore so artificial temperatures have also been created

i get back to the girl and say “let’s get out of here now. he won’t notice i’m gone for a while”

she says “ok!”

we walk through the city district we’re in

note: like i said, the architecture is mostly metal since, again, metal is not flammable

(but under the right conditions mixed with a few more.. reactive ingredients, it will burn)

architecture is a lot of building upwards - taller, lots of window escape routes in case of fires (which happen frequently)

i’m not actually sure whether or not people would need escape routes - are people fireproof here? it’s never addressed

so i’m walking with my little friend and i see a drink stand

i go over and ask for a lemonade (for my friend)

seeing my friend walk over, she pulls out two lemonades

we each take one and say thank you! snd start to walk away as she says “now give me 20”

tragically we’re both poor and so we sigh and return the drinks to her the girl running the lemonade stand asks me why i wanted a lemonade if i couldn’t even pay for it

i lower my voice and tell her

“it’s been a really rough time and she’s stuck by me for the whole of it and i just wanted to thank her somehow you know?”

and she asks me “what happened?”

and i explain how i set some stuff on fire and now i owe money even though it’s only a few wires but the lord is still going to extort me after that with an insane rate of interest so basically i’ll never escape i also tell her i’m a rebellion fighter and the plan was to get into the household and okay it would’ve been better to do it without the crippling debt but since i got caught it’s better to take what i can get she gets up and says “follow me”

she takes me to one of the tallest buildings - probably an aristocrat’s business building - and walks up a set of stairs on the side to where the power bank is

she sets the wall on fire but it fizzles out quickly and only two bricks are still lit

she says ugh and continues to try setting it on fire

“do you need help?” i call

“no i got this”

finally she gets it right and the whole building is quickly enveloped in flames and she jumps off the platform and i catch her and we run away laughing

“okay lets get you out if here before you’re caught at the scene if an even bigger crime”

so we run and i grab my friend as we pass and we go under the arch that signals the border of the city district and go into a different one by now the whole district is on fire and we’re just laughing

That guy looks so much like Tae! It’s quite obvious that that is his intent. He’s got the whole Tae vibe going there. But you are absolutely right about the differences between Tae and him. I wonder what his smile is like.. It’s kinda sad to me honestly, I assume it’s partly because it’s a business opportunity for him, but to try to copy someone to that extent… it’s hard to see him as anyone else than a Tae copy, and that’s sad. In my opinion people should embrace their own looks and personality.. it feels better ultimately. I can’t wait till someone does a detailed comparison between those Taennie pics and the pics on that guy’s Insta. I doubt it’s coincidence and to me it very much looks like this is the guy they used to portray Tae.

I also wonder if this person knows what he signed up for (yes I think he signed up for something), because this fandom is not kind to people who try to take advantage of BTS members. So I hope he has think skin beneath his Tae-like appearance.

I’m going to be doing a lot of guesswork here, because we have no way of knowing what happens behind the scenes.

There’s a few possible scenarios here. Either Tae and Jennie (and their companies) are in this together, or it’s one of them, or it’s their companies. I don’t think the Tae imposter came up with anything, I think it’s likely he has been contacted because he fits the image. I tend to think it’s the first option. For either Tae or Jennie to concoct this on their own seems unlikely, because it would set a lot of bad blood between them and one of them might even be able to sue the other because of this.

In Hollywood this isn’t a new thing at all. Celebrities have pr-relationships all the time. A lot have even admitted to this. It’s great for publicity or to distract from possible things the celebrities don’t want the public to find out about (being gay, having cheated, whatever might be ‘bad’ in public opinion). I think it’s less common in South Korea, but I can imagine them picking up stuff from Hollywood (especially since both BTS and Blackpink do very well there). So that would be my best guess… it’s for publicity and maybe a bit to distract from possible Taekook rumors.

Taennie never felt real to me. I mean, seeing Tae’s reaction to spotting her at Harry’s show was quite telling. That man does not want rumors to go beyond what they already are. Being a celebrity must be weird. One the one hand you are able to do what you like best and you get rich doing it, but on the other hand there’s always stuff (like this) that you hate but you know it comes with the territory.

There’s no reason for Tae to speak up. If my thoughts are correct this is what they bargained for. Speaking up would defy the purpose even. They want speculation. Speculation is what keeps people interested. It will die soon enough though.. eventually no new ‘proof’ will be found and Jennie will be getting linked to someone else.

Oh! This is an interesting one! I haven’t been abroad a lot and don’t know what you guys might not have other than certain restaurant chains and whatnot.

Things I would cook for you: Chicken Pot Pie, my pasta and sauce recipe, and my best chili recipe. For breakfast I would make you egg in a hole, which I don’t know if that’s unique to here. But it’s just toast with a circle cut out an an egg fried in the middle.

For stuff we’d go out and get, it depends on where we are. Sure, I think there are gems everywhere, but I think for instance that in New York, pizza and bagels are a must. There’s some great seafood spots around. But with the country as our oyster, I’d take you to all the chains you don’t have.

You asked me for one answer though. There’s a butcher’s in DC that’s pretty old school and always has a different featured burger based on the best ingredients available. (A couple months ago when I last went it was a pizza burger with mozzarella and sauce, another time it was like a southwest aoili with avocado and other fixings) we’d go there. I know you can get a burger anywhere but I like the style of the place and that it’s so local to here snd the different burgers reminds me of Bob’s Burgers.

The Dreamy Alternative Country Guy

This guy has lost his ever loving mind.

After a week of pet names and even him calling me a love bug, he is accusing me of trying to get him to tell me that he loves me.

Not only did I take this as an 'uh oh' I like this guy so I should back off. Maybe I am coming off strong without knowing it and calling him babe. I change the nickname and he unfriends me.

My issue is why in the hell would I want someone to tell me they love me after a week.

His reason: I said love. The word.

Example:

How are you doing love?

That's great to hear, I'm happy for ya love.

Despite the other pet names of dude, bro, babe, and overall saying his name. When he called me love bug in the beginning I took no mind to it. Just flirty ya know. I like flirting with someone I'm interested in. Especially after the way we chatted, it was really nice and refreshing to hang out with him.

But for me to even love someone after a week wouldn't happen. It hasn't ever happened like that.

I either get really interested and be like come over and be bored with me. Something and chat (this excludes fuck boys or steamy nights I've had in the past) about things that matter to us and around us. -or- I simply disassociate after too many disappoints or misunderstandings.

So for one second for someone to say I want attention, loyalty, dates, and even trust, then when I work on being more accountable by changing my behavior there is something else that I missed.

I can't see myself getting that impatient with someone I'm interested in after they let me know what's going on with them. I wouldn't yell, I'd console them and find it endearing that they are a smidge concerned. They've probably been thru something that I get so it's all good as long as we talk it out. I learned that again with this guy so after I had a judgment episode is when I found out who his babymomma was (mind you, never knew who she was so I have no clue how I'd know).

Guys that act overly interested by saying they want me or thinking that I 'may' be the woman they need in their life bugs me. Not trying to be egotical like it happens all the time but it just freaks me out because I've fallen for that trap before. I stuck around.

It never ended well. Not even trying to think about it I reflect on my actions, be accountsble and extend my apologies.

I don't know. Had really high hopes that maybe I could chill with this guy snd see where things go and can't help but laugh at how I've fallen.

In the most positive way I have matured to realizing I don't just like anybody and everybody. So when I do and I get a sense of rejection, it's internal because of self sabotage being a demon of mine to battle. Find it if weird if you want, its a matter of he made me feel seen and I couldn't help but feel comfortable with him.

A part of me keeps saying shut up. Another part of me is saying it wouldn't hurt to try since its all been a misunderstanding. Then that feels like that's too much.

How do you make and or keep adult friends that even though you're interested in talking, you can keep your cool by working things out.

Then the story ends snd I realize it feels good to get this off my mind. The guy I like honestly talked with me the whole time, we gazed at the stars/sky, I gamed here and there he would sing his country music/youtube documentaries. We sat in his room chatting while he played Skyrim for a bit, I snuggled up by his legs a bit after giving him a big hug. My heart was settled in nicely to a cool person.

Since I don't go out a lot there are a few things I've noticed with people I meet or had a friendship with, my heart rate. Where my mindset goes and especially how well I sleep matters in these circumstances. It was cool because others I've met has made every moment awkward.

So whether this journey continues or not will be out of sheer luck and me not texting him again. We kinda exchanged phone numbers too because again, we kinda said we would be going out on adventures here and there. All the while I was his babygirl.

So I don't know. I've said my peace.

Okay damn it, this is what gets people. Its the overload of attention, whether you give it a lot or not - find similar interests, blah blah and the week progresses. Next thing you know they're dropping hints how they are having first with you like you're this special case. I mean this in the best way because it was the conversations that made the date for me. We really seemed to click.

hey, common sense anon here, hope you are doing well!

i wanted your thoughts on why you think in modern society is obsessed with who has an audience and who doesnt? like why do mainly those who have an audience or following get the utmost attention both good and bad, yet someone like ourselves whos quite ordinary wouldnt be paid any attention unless we have to prove ourselves (as thats what it still feels like from school throughout adulthood) that we are having to either constantly chase someone for their attention or its people trying to garner the attention they want and i think itd got way out of hand to the point where society has lost track of themselves.

we can spend hours and days weeks or months oggling at the lives of others whilst feeling miserable that our life is not like theirs. im concerned that we are not progressing as people should be. so much is wasted babbling on whatever it might be that usually doesnt even concern the babbler themselves. why cant we separate our life from others and learn to be satisfied with where we are? its honestly so hard rn to not feel down in the dumps or behind or lost or stuck. yet someone else is always trying to outdo another being for what cause though? its just a separate lifestyle so why people got to make their own channels and put a character on? makes no sense to me.

its also not just rich and wealthy that rely on needing an audience or cult like fan base either. every other person snd their granny has to have some type of recognition and if we dont have such a thing why do we feel left out or behind in life bc theres always going to be someone younger than us, therell always be someone better than us st something or other so why does it matter at all in society how popular or how many cliques and internet groups where people have to belong somewhere or theyll be too much of an individual. if this makes any sense then please include your opinion!!

i think its such an issue nowadays with how many folk seek an audience and often at times i have caught myself feeling so inadequate or feeling miserable that im not receving much attention outside of relatives. its sad in a way that the world revolves around the way someone appears to be. and in my opinion even those who dont have a following wont amount to much bc in order to succeed nowadays people need some type of following be it online or elsewhere.

for ex the way society goes through trends faster than tissues or how people would only really be drawn to thode who are popular. if celeb dies its a big deal but if its ordinary person it gets overlooked or theyre life wasnt as significant :/

Honestly, this is a human thing rather than a nowadays thing I’ve found. We always want the things we see others having, and compare them to what we ourselves have at the moment. It’s like if you have siblings, how if you sibling got something nice you wanted something nice in turn. How people are always trying to be acknowledged and praised for everything they do. Though nowadays, with social media, this is definitely amplified by social media because we can now see all these things others are doing and want those things too. So it’s constantly people seeing others rising higher and higher and wanting to rise themselves. And frankly, we’re not evolved yet to deal with those things quite right. It’s like how 99% of people hate the way they look/are insecure. It’s because we’re not evolved to be used to seeing ourselves, as that ability is fairly new. Sure there were reflections in things like ice and water, but those aren’t clear and horribly skewed.

With celebs dying and things, it is sad that ordinary people get overlooked but also understandable. With celebs, you know at least of them, and have built a sort of parasocial relationship. With ordinary people it’s kind of like when you read history books about people who’ve been dead for hundreds of years. It’s very detached. Unless it’s truly brutal and gruesome, it just doesn’t feel the same as it would for a celebrity or someone in your life.

And again, the trends thing is very much something that’s a constant as well. Our sense of beauty is dependent on what you see the most. Trends change because you see one thing too much, and therefore you want the exact opposite. That, and it also reflects a culture’s values, predicament, etc. etc. trends changing reflect how we as a people are changing. Trends have always been rather fleeting in nature.
