About Steve wanting the demogorgon to fuck him; how would that work? Because if it's in the Upside Down then, with the hive mind, wouldn't the vines get involved 👀
Yes.
Ooh of course they'd get involved, holding his arms and legs so he can't move a bit.
They could join in other ways to- of course - stretching him, keeping him quiet.
You name it, it can probably happen

Lipstick Stains
Tumblr media
Billy Hargrove x Harrington FemReader
Summary: There has been some new gossip floating through Hawkins High. The gossip being that Billy has a lipstick stain that just so happens to match a certain girl's iconic shade.
....................................................................
You were a Harrington. You had a certain standing that you had to keep cause of the expectations of your parents. One of those expectations were not making out with Billy Hargrove in his car in the back of the school parking lot during lunch. But your parents were never home so you didn't really give a damn.
"Billy we have to go back into the school at some point." You said releasing your lips from his. As you tried to pull back he pulled you in for another quick kiss.
"Oh come on, we don't have to." He smirked to you.
"Listen Mr. Bad Boy, I know you don't like school but I have a test." You said to him. He gave you a small pout at your response to which you just laughed at him. "You also messed up my lipstick." You said as you flipped the visor down to use the mirror to reapply your dark red lipstick.
"That's not the only thing I can mess up." He joked. You just gave him the look, he knew the look. It didn't need a name.
"Well Hargrove I have to get going." You brought yourself close to kiss his neck then up to the apple of his freckled cheeks. You collected you things to go back into the school before the bell. Before you shut the door you look back at Billy to see the two kiss marks that you left on him. You just smiled at him.
"Love ya, see you later." You said then shut the door to go to the school.
Billy continued with his day like usual. Thinking that nothing would go out of the ordinary. He knew he was hot shit so people were staring at him as perusal but he didn't know what they were staring at. In each class he had stares his way, to which he had to tell some off for looking too long.
"Nice job man." Tommy Hagan laughed as he patted his back. Billy was just confused about what he was talking about but he continued as nothing was wrong. The bell rang through the halls to signal that the school day was over. Billy made his way to the doors top the parking lot to leave when he saw a certain Steve Harrington staring him down from his locker.
"You got a problem Harrington?" He asked.
"Yeah, not with you though." Steve replied slamming his locker shut to go find a certain sister of his. Billy didn't know that, he was just confused and thought nothing of it. He finally was able to make it to his Camaro to wait for Max. Students around him were still looking at him. Some girls looking in distaste, not at him but at the kiss marks on his cheeks. Some guys were just laugh in congrats to him. Billy just wanted to get the hell out and get Max home so he can go see his girlfriend. Billy looked over to see a certain red head making her way over to his car.
"Get in shit-bird, I got places to be." He said as he got in the drivers seat while Max got in the passenger seat. She just stared at him, more than she would usually. Which is not at all. Billy glanced at her a few times.
"What?" He asked annoyed with her staring.
"What's on your face?" She asked. Billy was confused until he thought back to lunch. He grabbed his sun visor to look himself in the mirror to see the two kiss marks on him. Just as he thought, one on his cheek and the other on his neck. He just laughed what he was looking at.
"Well that explains a Lot." He sighed starting his car to drive away.
Later that day Billy was able to make it to the Harrington house hold. Instead of parking down the street, he parked in the driveway. Instead of climbing through the window of his girlfriends bedroom, he simply knocked the front door of her house. Which, unfortunately, the other Harrington answered. He and Steve just stared at one another for a moment.
"Hargrove."
"Harrington."
"What are you doing here?"
"I think you know why exactly I'm here, or you don't."
"I do know why you're here." Steve stated sternly.
"Then tell me, why am I here?" Billy gabbed at him with a smirk playing on his face.
"Can you guys stop having a dick measuring contest for once." Your voice was heard in a very much over it tone. "Get out of here Steve."
"But-" You stopped him from continuing.
"Eh, I don't wanna hear any more then I already have. You're being a Buttface." You sassed at him. "Now I would like to talk to my boyfriend."
Steve just rolled his eyes and sighed. Walking away from his enemy and his sister in the same door way. You turn your head back to Billy with a grin on your face.
"So what are you doing here, handsome."
"Well, I am here to see my girlfriend that I have to have a small chat about." His voice going a slight octave lower. Something that you loved.
"And what do you have to chat about?" You stilled teased at him.
"Well I made out with this gorgeous woman at lunch, and after I thought my day would go by like usual. But I had people staring at me all day. I didn't know why until I looked into the mirror to find that the exact pretty girl I was kissing left some marks on me." He explained to you. "Now I am at said pretty girls house to get a reason why she did that."
"Well I think she just wanted to have a bit of fun with you, if you ask me."
"Well as much as I love that, I think I would love to have some fun with her right now."
"Well you'er gonna have to wait on that, handsome." You said." Big Bro ain't to happy with me, I've been getting an ear full for the past hour."
"I can wait." He reassured. "I will always wait for you, gorgeous." You just smiled at him and dragged him into your house.
"Is he staying long?" Steve's distant voice was heard.
"Shut up Steve." You yelled out to him. "Like I said, ear full all day."
You and Billy just laughed at the situation. But at least you both can enjoy each others company in the end.
...................................................................
I hope y'all enjoyed this. Sorry if it is short. I know I haven't been to active, writing wise, lately. I'm trying to get through school right now.
I will try to get more out for Boots and Trumpets, and Practically Magic later.
Thank you for reading.

For the STWG daily drabble prompt: summer camp
“You were a summer camp kid?” Eddie asks, looking at the photo stuck up beside Steve’s desk.
He’s probably about 8, missing a front tooth, hair messy and a carefree smile across his face.
“Yeah, that a surprise?”
“Just figured you were more of a horse-back-riding-and-sailing kind of kid.”
Steve snorts. “It’s Indiana, Eddie. You want your kid to disappear for a couple months, you send them to camp.”
Eddie hums, looking closer at the shirt Steve’s wearing. It’s a grainy photo, old and faded, but he recognises that design.
“Wait… is that Camp Tippecanoe?”
“You know it?”
“Uh, yeah, I went there.”
Steve looks at him curiously. “You didn’t even live in Hawkins back then.”
“No, but Wayne applied for me to go. They had a program for ‘underprivileged’ kids, probably a tax break thing or something. But I got in, and he offered to drive me, so my folks couldn’t say no.”
Steve drops down next to his bed, reaching underneath and pulling out a battered shoebox. He doesn’t say a word, just removes the lid and starts rifling through the contents.
“What are you doing?” Eddie asks him, kneeling on the other side of the box.
“What year were you there?”
“Uh, I was… I think around 10, maybe? So probably 1976.”
Steve doesn’t answer, just keeps flipping through the photos like he’s looking for something he knows is in there.
He stops at a photo of two boys side-by-side. “I went every summer until I was 12, Ed. Every single summer.”
And then Eddie is looking at a photo of his younger self, hair buzzed and a skinny arm thrown around the boy next to him, a boy who looks an awful lot like -
“You were little Stevie?” Eddie bites the inside of his cheek, eyes dropping from Steve’s at a sudden memory that crashes over him like a rogue wave.
“How much do you remember about that summer?” Steve asks, quietly.
Eddie keeps his eyes on the carpet between them, suddenly very interested in memorising the exact shade.
“Everything,” he finally admits.
“Me too.”
And when he looks back up, he sees the same soft, kind eyes he saw behind the mess hall right before he leaned in for his first kiss. A kiss with a boy he never thought he’d see again after that summer. A kiss he never forgot.

Overbearing, Protective, Dick Head Older Brothers
Pairin: Eddie Munson x Harrington!reader
Summary: Y/N is Steve's younger sister, and dating Eddie Munson. She believes to have been hiding her and Eddie's relationship well but that's obviously not true. It seems to her all her close friends know besides her older brother... until he eventually does.
Warning: cursing, talk of religion, terrible title, bad summarizing 😬 I think that's it.

“Okay, so I was thinking.” I start to say as I walk next to Eddie on our way to the cafeteria.
 “Oh, well that’s never good.”
I laugh with non-existent humor, “Very funny, asshole.”
As the cafeteria starts to come into view, I feel Eddie rest his hand on my lower back and nuzzle his face into my neck, or at least try to before I gently push him off.
“Eddie, not here.” I say giggling.
“Why? I don’t know about you, Y/N, but I don't see any over-bearing, protective, dick head, older brothers around.” He pretends to glance around as he starts to open the cafeteria door for me.
“Hey, don’t say that! He just cares, is all, maybe a little too much but it’s still something. And you’re right, Steve isn’t around but someone might tell him.”
“Oh yeah? Like who?” We’re entering the lunch line, when I start to get cautious of who’s around.
“I feel like you’ve forgotten no one knows about us, Eds. And even if they did Mike, Lucas, Dusty, Max, and Robin could still snitch. Remember he used to be King Steve? You’d be surprised whose loyalty still stands.” I lower my voice just slightly, and add dramatic air quotes to the words, “King Steve.”
“Come 'on do you honestly think they don’t already know? If there’s one thing, I’ve learned this past year it’s that those kids aren’t stupid. I mean, it’s not like they would rat us out even if they did know.”
I grab my lunch tray and look behind me to see Eddie following me as I walk over to a lunch table that Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Max are occupying. Robin is usually also at the table; some people might find it a little weird that seniors sit with some dorky freshmen at lunch but after about a month we got used to the stares.
“Why is it that you don’t want Steve to know again?” Eddie starts to walk a step ahead of me, and turns toward me, walking backwards.
“First of all, you’re going to trip. Second of all, he’s been through a lot, he’s got a ton on his mind, and lastly, you guys aren't exactly two peas in a pod.”
“Bullshit! You’ve been through a lot too. Listen, Harrington’s a big boy I’m sure he can handle some surprising news.”
I pull out a chair next to Max with my foot and Eddie sits next to me, “We’ll talk about it later.” I tell him.
I see Eddie glance around the table, which causes me to also glance at our friends around us. I find myself turning to see them already looking at me, and well, Eddie.
I smile awkwardly and try to search for something to say to distract them from me and Eddie, when I catch a glimpse of Robin walking with her lunch tray. I wave my hand at her so she can see where we are sitting.
They all break their focus from me and Eddie when Robin, she plops down across from me, “You guys won't believe the day I’ve had!”
Robin starts ranting, and I try to open my can of coke, but I find myself struggling a bit.
“Fuck.” I’m getting frustrated when Eddie pulls the can from my hand and pops it open the first try.
“Language, sweetheart.” He says, handing me my soda and winking at me.
I push my tray a little bit forward since I have no plans on eating any of it and open my backpack.
“So, you never told me what you were thinking about.” Eddie’s voice is hushed and his mouth is slightly tilted to my ear.
“hmph, yeah. I was thinking we should go see a drive-in movie for our date tonight. I never would’ve thought about it but Nancy was telling me about when she went with Johnathan before he moved.”
“Ah, I like that idea, Y/N. What movie would we be seeing?”
I finally found what I was looking for in my backpack, when I start explaining, “I was pretty set on watching Pretty in Pink, it came out a couple months ago but I never got the chance to see it-”
I pause mid-sentence and waver a sandwich bag with two chocolate chip cookies in front of Eddies face, “want one?”
He nods so I hand him one and continue on, “But they also have The Nightmare on Elm Street if you don't want to watch some girly chick flic.”
I watch as Eddie takes a glance over at everyone in the corner of his eye and smugly places his hand on my thigh. I freeze in place, still eating my cookie however, when Eddie says, "No, no, it’s all good. I’m fine with seeing Pretty in Pink.”
“Are you sure? I know how much you like Nightmare on Elm Street.” I tell him, raising my brows.
“I’m positive. Besides, as long as I’m with you, I don't care what we do.”
 “You’re too sweet, Eds.”
In a matter of milliseconds, Eddie sweeps both of my legs over his lap, and uses his arm to pull me closer, putting his nose in my neck and pretending to smell me. I’m still sitting in my chair but Eddie’s hair is tickling me so I start to squeal and laugh, trying to push him away from my neck. I throw my head back giggling when Eddie finally stops and tells me, “Nope. That’s all you, Y/N.”
I’m catching my breath when I can practically feel eyes burning into my soul so I look up to see Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Robin staring at us. I straighten faster than I ever had, smoothing down my hair and dusting of my shirt. Eddie is looking down, with a shy smile on his face, pink is blooming all over his cheeks. I clear my throat when Robin starts, “Were you guys even listening?”
“Of cour-” I try to cover up our mess.
“Jesus!” Max is looking away, rubbing her temples with her hand.
“For Christ sakes! Get a room!”
“Could you be any more obvious!”
 “Just friends, my ass.”
“It’s not what it looks like. We’re seriously, just friends.” I try to explain, desperately looking at Eddie.
“Uh yeah... Like we didn’t just hear you guys plan out your stupid cheesy date night.” Dustin states, giving us both an incredulous look.
And then I hear Mike burst out laughing, holding onto Lucas's shoulder for support, "As long as I'm with you my sweet baby." His voice is dropping a couple octaves as he mocks Eddie, pretending to coo in Lucas's ear.
I crumple up my napkin and hurdle it at Mikes head, as Eddie comes back at Mike and Dustin, "hey, hey, Mikey Man and Dusty Bun, don't be jealous just ‘cus your little Scarlet Witch and your Amish homesteader live states away from you."
As soon as I realize that Eddie has practically admitted our secret ardor, my eyes widen as big as saucers, “Eddie!”
The table starts to chuckle as Mike and Dustin look away rolling their eyes and Dustin says, “She’s Mormon you idiot.”
"Aw, you guys. I actually think they're really cute. It’s adorable really.” Robin is smiling from ear to ear.
“Ha well, you have to hand it to us, we’ve been doing a pretty great job at hiding it.” I point out proudly.
Everyone besides Eddie goes into a fit of laughter, “Uh- What?” I’m completely oblivious to whatever it is that I said to make them laugh.
Max stops, trying to catch her breath, “Ha, you can’t honestly think that we didn’t know about you guys.”
Eddie raises his brows at me as if to say, “I told you so,” My jaw falls open as I ask, “How long have you guys known?”
Mike rolls his eyes, “Please we’ve all known since the week after spring break.”
“Uh- you’ve got to be kidding me. That’s what when we started dating.” I say, finding this unbelievable.
Dustin and Lucas scoffs, “yeah, we know.”
Eddie rubs his hand up and down my thigh, in a much more innocent manner than before, trying to give me a piece of solace. I didn’t think to mention Steve because no one else did. I mean they’re not stupid, it isn’t like they would’ve told Steve either way, right?
“Have fun on your date tonight though.” Lucas says right when the bell rings.
Me and Eddie are the first to get up, and as we’re turning our back to them, we hear Mike, Dustin, and Max start moaning in a high-pitched manner, “oh ah oh, Eddie. Oh my god, Eddie!”
I whip my head around so fast, in time to see Robin chuck her soda can at them, “Hey! Shut up you little pervs!”
I hide my face in Eddies, neck groaning in embarrassment, and he seems to find this amusing because he just chuckles.
“It isn’t funny, Eds.” I give him a light shove on the chest.
“Sure, it isn’t, sweetheart.” Eddie tells me, pressing his lips to my forehead.
I give Eddie a quick goodbye kiss on the lips and open the passenger side door to his van, as we had just gotten back from our date, and he was dropping me off at my house. I was fulling expecting Eddie to stay in his van and watch me walk to the front door and then drive away, so when he also gets out of the van, I give him a questioning look, “What’re you doing?”
“Can I come in?” He asks me, I figured he’s asking because it’s quite late and my parents are home. Steve was probably asleep or out anyway.
I grab his wrist to look at his watch, to see it’s about to be eleven, so I nod and say, “Yeah, Steve is most likely sleeping or out with Robin. We’ll have to be quiet though.”
I’m jumbling with my keys at the front door, and finally open it only to see that the kitchen and living room light is on. I thought that maybe I felt the lights on so I continue leading Eddie to the living room. As we’re nearing the room, I hear laughter and snorting. The realization hits me that Steve is home and apparently has friends over.
“Fuck!” I whisper yell, pushing me and Eddie against the wall, where we can’t be seen.
“You’re really starting to take a liking to that word, Y/N.” Eddie tells me, smirking.
I roll my eyes at him, “Steve’s home.”
“Oh really? I thought it was the boogeyman. Who is he even with? It’s not like he has friends.”
I elbow him when I hear a familiar voice, “Man! You should’ve seen their faces when we told them that we knew!”
My eyes widen with horror as I turn to Eddie, still against the wall in the hall, “Shut up. It’s Dustin.”
I hear more familiar voices. Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Max and Robin are laughing while sixteen candles plays on the T.V.
 “Who’s faces?” Steve asks them.
 “Y/N’s and Eddie’s.” Max answers.
I can only imagine Steve’s confused, crooked smile as he asks, “W-Wait... What is it that you knew?”
“That they’re dating, dingus.” Robin answers.
“What?!? What do you mean that they’re dating, Robin?” Steve asks scoffing.
“I’m taking it that you didn't know...”
I grab ahold of Eddie’s hand and tug him after me as I try to silently walk back to the foyer and tip toe up the stairs but I see Steve round the corner, and stand there with his arms crossed. I swear he looks just like our dad that one night he caught me and Steve sneaking back into the house.
“Y/N get your ass down here right now! It’s too late, I already saw you.”
My shoulder’s slump in defeat and I’m practically pouting like a child as I walk back down the stairs, leaving Eddie on the steps.
I walk past Steve and into the living room as he stands, taking the stillness of a statue.
“You too Eddie.” He says in a stern voice.
I can see from the corner of my eye that he looks hesitant to do as Steve tells him but I just roll my eyes and motion with my head for him to follow me.
I do a once over at the little traitors in my living room and tilt my head so they know I was irritated with them.
 “So.” Steve starts.
“What Steve?” I ask, my tone harsh and short.
“Hey. Don’t take that tone up with me young lady.” His finger is pointing down at me like a father scolding his angsty teen. I hear Lucas and Mike try to hold in their laughs behind me, I bet this is funny too them, seeing an eighteen-year-old get a stern talking too by her nineteen-year-old brother.
“God Steve, you’re not dad, you’re barely a year older than me. You act I’m seeing some forty-year-old, it’s just Eddie.” I say scoffing, motioning my hand to Eddie at that last part.
“Just Eddie? You've been lying to my face, to mom’s, to dad’s for almost two months now. You stay out late; I hardly see you on the weekends anymore. Don’t you see what he's doing to you? At first, I didn't understand, fuck, I didn’t even notice but now it’s perfectly clear. He’s not good for you, Y/N.” Steve says, his voice raising. I could almost swear I heard a crack in his voice.
I see Robin get up from the corner of my eye, motioning for the rest of them to follow her, they exit the room, and go to the kitchen. Eddie stays but tries to make it look like he's picking at his clothes. I feel bad because obviously he's in an awkward position right now.
“You’ve got to be kidding me. This is why I lied to you, because I knew you’d react badly. I knew you didn’t like Eddie, still, even after all he's done for Dustin and during Vecna. I have a boyfriend, Steve. So what? Am I not allowed to spend time with him? Why is it that I have to be at arm's length at all times? The only thing Eddie has ever done for me was be there. I’ve changed, for the better. Weren't you the one always telling me I should get out more, interact with people, experience things?” My voice matches Steve’s, going up multiple octaves.
 “Why?” He asks.
“What do you mean?” I sound frustrated and it’s because I am.
“Why didn't you tell me? We tell each other everything, Y/N.” He’s rubbing his temples and I’m having a hard time deciphering what he’s making out of all of this.
“Steve... for one, I know you and Eddie had never been the best of friends, and I didn’t want you to worry. You’ve been through so much.” I tell him, grabbing at his hand.
Steve pulls me into a sudden hug, “Y/N, you’re my sister. My baby sister. I’m always gonna worry about you. You’re right, me and Eddie tolerate each other, but I don't hate him. All I want is for you to be safe and happy, you’ve been through so much too. If Eddie’s making you happy then I can deal.” He says into my hair.
I sniffle and blink away tears, “He does make me happy, Steve.”
Me and Steve jolt up when we hear a deep voice clear his throat, “Eddie.” Steve says, his voice and manner returning to normal.
“Ha. Steve...” Eddie says cautiously, a nervous smile on his face.
Steve reaches his hand out to Eddie and Eddie takes it, they pull closer together as Steve pats his back and says, “hurt my sister Munson, and it’ll be the last things you do.”
“Steve.” I say laughing, shaking my head as Eddie walks over to me, “I wouldn't dream of it.”
We all start to walk over to the kitchen with everyone else.
“Oh, and by the way Steve, I’m not a baby, I’m eighteen.”
“Yeah? Well, you sure act like one.” Steve answers.
“Says the one getting all sappy back there.”
I feel Eddie’s hand slide off my shoulder and go to my lower back, resting right above my butt, he must have forgotten that my brother was behind us because he gets startled when Steve sternly says, “Hands, Munson.”
I laugh as Steve furrows his brows and Eddie laughs nervously once again when we enter the kitchen.

So I just finished reading Paradise by the dashboard light by oaseas on ao3 and it was awesome. I would go as far as to say it’s one of the best fics I’ve ever read ever period. I swear if your into steddie it’s a must-read. Here’s some fannart/concept art I made of Steve from that fic, because I was absolutely itching to get my ideas onto paper.
The idea is that he’s part demogorgon (through an infection of sorts) , and the lower half of his face is supposed to open up into two large petals. I took a creative license and added human teeth and a separated lower jaw to make it seem more organic, like the human part of him is transforming and making way for the monster parts. I also added a smaller 3rd petal in between the 2 large ones because things just look better in 3s. I wanted the petals to not only peel from his face, but down his neck as well so that they could be bigger, and more dramatic like I sense that they were in the fic. Lastly, he needed blackened elongated claws.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It wasn’t a demogorgon.
The bottom half of the creature’s face retracted, the petalled maw swooping upwards to close into mole-ridden skin. It left two thin, silvery scars; a mouth like a white slash; the curve of a familiar nose. It left honey-brown eyes devoid of their familiar gleam, guarded and blank. It left dirtied, blue jeans and bare feet, a stained navy shirt and a missing jacket, a sweaty mop of flatter, but no less wavier hair, and ichor-blood smeared across a familiar throat and face.
It wasn’t a demogorgon.
It was Steve.”

Omg you know what would be phenomenal???
Remember when Eddie said he would never jump straight in the lake to save Steve but Nancy did?
Well imagine, in Vol.2, Steve is in danger and Eddie is the first one to throw himself into the danger to save Steve?
AAAAAAAAAAAA
(Also Steve waisting no time to save Eddie would also be a cherry on top)

Monsterfucker Steve my beloved ♥
Please give us more of your thots on that.
Oh you want me to go into detail?
I'll do that with absolutely glee my friend because I have been so afraid that everyone would hate this. You're getting more details than you want.
I, am an avid monster fucker. Therefore Steve Harrington wants nothing more than to be fucked by a monster.
If you don't want to read this, or you are under 18. I advice you just scroll instead of complaining and making your life - and mine - harder.
When Steve got home after first encountering the demogorgon at the Byers house, his heart was still racing. He was terrified, the moments kept replaying in his mind no matter what he did.
And he did anything he thought to stop it.
He thought masturbating would force it out of his mind. Make him think of Nancy, how she felt and-
There was something about that monster. Something about the fear, the pure despair he felt for a single moment..
It was exciting, thrilling, a thrill Steve wanted again.
He was sick for wanting, he knew that well. Yet the thought of that monster, it made him harder than he'd ever been before. He could feel the shame, yet it only excited him more.
Steve always had been a thrillseeker. He loved an adrenaline rush, continously seeking them out to fill a void.
This was a thrill unlike any other, a monster that could so easily rip him limb from limb. So easily crush him and ruin him.
It turned him on, incredibly so

Okay. This is my first ever fic on here, so I do appreciate polite criticism pls! Plus I've read almost everything for every character I am unhealthy obsessed with... sooo here we go!
Billy Hargrove x Fem Reader
(Billy might be a bit OC in this)
Warnings: strong language, under age drinking
Summary: When Billy moved to Hawkins Indiana he expected rednecks, hicks, and cows. Which he did see and was very much disappointed with. But that was until he sees some color pop out of no where one night in Hawkins.
.......................................................................................................................
Billy was spending his time in Hawkins as patiently as he could, which was close to none. The people were bland, the school was bland, and the weed was bland. 'God I want out of here' was a common thought that crossed his mind through out his day. Between having to deal with his shit-bird of a step-sister Max and with the ass kissing wannabes that do nothing but stick to his ass. All Billy wanted to do was go back to California. The sunsets, the beaches, the waves, the girls, all of it he wanted it all back. The only slight enjoyment he got was when he took the title as 'King' from 'King Steve'.
Currently Billy is walking out to his camaro, wait on his bitch of a sister, drive as fast he can home, hopefully avoid everyone in his house, then go out and get drunk in someone else's backyard. But the universe had other ideas... those idea's being Tommy fucking Hagan. He saw him running up to him from a mile away.
"You gotta be shitting me." Billy muttered irritatedly leaning against his car. Billy to a long drag of his cigarette, hoping for some relief.
"Hey Billy!" Tommy slightly shouted, he seemed somewhat winded from his short run. " You got plans tonight?"
"No, what's it to you?" Billy replied, taking another drag from his cigarette.
"Well there is gonna be a party down by the quarry tonight." Tommy said with a grin on his face.
"Okay? So what's that gotta do with me?" He was getting irritated now. Not only was Max running late but Tommy was still here.
"Harrington's got some girl coming with him, probably his rebound from Princess Wheeler..." That perked Billy's interest, making Steve miserable is his favorite thing to do. "So, what do ya say Hargrove?"
Billy stood still for a minute. No expression on his face only throwing his cigarette on the ground and snubbing it out.
"Count me in... Can't wait to steal Harrington's new girl." Billy laughed as he moved to the driver's seat of his car.
'little shit can skate home' He thought as his car roared out of the parking lot.
On the other side of town at the Chadwick (that will be your last name... sorry not sorry) residence...
Steve was pacing a hole into the floor as his childhood best friend went through her clothes.
"Do you seriously want to go with me tonight? I mean you moved away when you were in sixth grade now you're back... and I mean NOTHING has changed!" Steve was stressing way to much about one party, that being your first party back in Hawkins.
"Steve I'll be fine, the energy that you are putting off right now is not good." You smiled to him. "Good energy will come to you if you let it, you love parties what's got you so worked up plus you've changed for the better."
"That right there! This hippie shit is what is wrong!"
"Steve. If you're gonna worry about me like some mom don't come with me then okay." You didn't want to hurt his feelings but you wanted to have fun. "I get they are all judgy and whatever other adjective you used on the car ride over here, but I don't care. I like who I've become, so "this hippie shit" is trying to decide on the flowing warm skirt or the flowing purple pants!"
"I just don't want you to get mixed into the wrong people." Steve retorted.
"And I won't. I get the you broke things off with all of your old friends and who ever this Billy guy is but you don't have to protect me." You reassured.
"Fine." Steve sighed. "And go with the skirt it will look better with the top."
You smiled to him. "Thank you Steve... now get out I gotta change."
Steve made his way to get out of your room for you to get ready. "Yeah Yeah whatever."
. . .
The time was currently 12:39 am. While the party in the quarry has been going on for quit some time now. Many of the familiar faces of the so called popular crowd made their way in, those faces being Tommy, Billy, Tina, Carol, and among a few others. Billy was buzzed. It may not be a back yard but at least he'd get drunk at the end of the night. Music was blasting from some dude's portable speakers. There was a bonfire lighting the night away. Everyone was either dancing or talking, a few were some were throwing up in the bush. Billy was about to down another drink when Tommy came hurdling right into his back.
"What the hell Hagan." Billy shouted not only for him to hear him but also out of anger.
"Harrington's here with his new girl." He laughed. "You gotta see her, Carol come over here!" Tommy ran and in quick follow so did Carol. Billy sauntered his way over, with what little drink he had left, to where the two love birds perched themselves. And that is when Billy Hargrove saw a burst of color. There she was. She didn't dress like anyone else in Hawkins (Think Stevie Nicks Style). 'She couldn't be from this shit hole. Her hair was frizzy and a but unruly. Her skin glowed with the warm light. The clothes held to each curve of her body but flowed so elegantly as she walked. Who is this babe, not chic she's to pretty to be called a chic, and why was she with Harrington.' All these thoughts pondered Billy's mind.
"Holy shit." Carol said. Tommy and Billy can bot clearly see the shock on her face.
"What?" Tommy questioned, "Do you know her?"
"That's Y/N Chadwick! She moved in the sixth grade!" Slapping Tommy's arm. He gave no response only to be in more shock than Carol.
"Ain't no way... she looks great." That comment got a direct and aggressive response from Tommy. To which he responded with a vocal "Ow!?".
With you and Steve, you guys were just strolling by the bonfire. A cup of jungle juice in your hand with Steve was cupless due to being the driver of the night.
"So first party back in Hawkins, how does it feel?" Steve asked.
"Pretty far out, kinda better than any party from the city." You answered joyfully. To be honest you were happy to be back in Hawkins. City life was fun but it was getting to be to much for you.
"STevE!" An uneven voice yelled out across the rocky yard from us. You saw a girl with bangs and a bob cut calling over to Steve. Clearly she has had her fair share of alcohol.
"Hey Robin!" Steve responded. " You don't mind if I go talk to her do you?"
"No, go have fun!" You cheered. " Go flow, relax!"
"Good energy." Steve gritted through his teeth with a smile as he made his way over to this Robin girl. While you stayed right by the fire with your drink.
Billy saw his opportunity, you were alone and he could talk to you with Steve out of the way. Billy made his way over to you by the bonfire. You look to the guy that has just appeared beside you in the moment.
"Hey." He said it very smoothly.
"Hello." You respond with a sweet smile. Billy could just stare at you smiling. 'Come on man... you just met her get it together.' Billy thought.
"I've never seen you around before, I'm Billy." As Billy introduced himself, he took a step forward to close some space between the both of you. You ,however, stayed where you stood just smiling to the guy Steve was telling you about.
"So you're Billy." You grinned to him. 'God why do the jerks have to be so pretty'. "Steve mentioned you a few times but he didn't tell me how handsome you were."
"Well at least you get the in person experience." Billy answered, " So from what I've heard you have returned to Hawkins."
"Yes I have, what's it to you?" You questioned with a grin.
"Well sweetheart I wanna get to know you, I get you moved back but I am no longer the new kid on the block."
"Well what do you wanna know?" He is trying to be sly. You wanna see were this plays into. His eyes glance behind you.
"If you're gonna ask me if I'm dating Steve you would be wrong." You stated. "He was my best friend as a kid that I kept in contact with, plus he has a lot of stressed energy."
"So you're a hippie girl?" Billy said it as if he was fascinated by you. " Could you tell me what my energy is?"
"You're very hostile." You answered. "You are very tense, you have not relaxed since you have started talking with me. If this is some front you're putting on... I don't dig it." Billy was stunned.
"I'm not putting up any front." He retorted.
"Billy you seem like you have a lot of inner conflict with yourself, and don't try to say other wise." You said. "I already know about the stuff you've done around here and to Steve."
"What?" Billy is confused. "I thought you were into me but now you're giving me this psychoanalysis shit." Billy was clearly getting frustrated with you. So much so it was able to catch Steve's attention.
"Listen, I get some of the stuff I say is weird but I'm not wrong and you know it..." You said. "And I am into you but not if this front you're putting is what I'm getting."
Billy could not believe it. He was getting rejected, rejected by a beautiful girl. ' What the hell'...
"Billy." She cuts him out of his thoughts. "I would love you get to know you if you let me." She stepped closer this time, gently placing her fingers into his. She looked to him, he wants to answer but words aren't coming out of his mouth. 'Say something stupid... anything.'
"How about next Saturday, at 6... good for you?" He said this more gently this time. His frustration and building agitation was gone now.
"I would like that Billy." You answered with a smile, a smile that caused Billy to return. It was like a moment was set in place for you both. Billy could no longer hear the laughing or music, all he was looking at was you. There was something different about you, in a good way. Billy wants to know what that is. Your somewhat romantic moment was busted when a certain head of hair popped up next to you.
"Do we have a problem, Hargrove?" Steve asked. Not only did he get too distracted that Billy walked up to you but he seemed to have been in a sort of deep conversation with you. If you can call it that.
"No. No Harrington we're all good here, right sweetheart." Billy answered, he grinned.
"Yeah, we're fine Steve... I'll see you later Billy." You walked away with Steve. Well more like Steve dragging you to his car to leave after the interaction. You gave a small wave to Billy as you were dragged away.
"What was that all about?" Tommy asked drunk and confused.
"I think I got a date." Billy answered still looking off to were you left. In that moment Billy Hargrove had a thought he never thought he would have... 'I hope this works out.'
When you and Steve reached his car, he instantly went to mom mode.
"What was that about!" Steve shouted, frazzled at the look and thought of the two of you interacting.
"I think I have a date." You giggled. Steve paused...
"WhAT!"
............................................................................................................................
Okay so I'm gonna end it right there. Please tell me what you think, I would love to hear feed back. As well as what to do to improve myself.
Thank you so much for reading!

For the STWG daily drabble prompt: octopus
“Did you know octopuses have three hearts?”
Steve looks up from where he’s stirring creamer into his coffee. Eddie is lying on the couch, head hanging over the edge of the cushions, legs flopping over the arm at odd angles.
“I did not,” Steve replies.
“Yep. And when they swim, one of the hearts stops beating. That’s why they crawl around so much instead.” Eddie places his hands on the carpet below and lets himself fall a little further, nearly upside down now.
“How do you even know all this?”
Eddie shrugs, but the movement dislodges him and the top of his head hits the floor. “Just do.”
Steve wanders over, bumping Eddie’s feet out of his spot with his hip. Once he sits, he places his mug on the table and pulls Eddie’s feet into his lap.
“If I had three hearts, I could love you three times as much,” Eddie muses, wiggling his toes. “And I could hug you four times at once with eight arms.”
Steve reaches out, tugging Eddie back up onto the couch and further into his lap, until they’re almost face to face. “You don’t need three hearts. You love me the perfect amount.”
Eddie closes the distance, leaning in for a kiss with a sigh.
He pulls back suddenly, though, a thoughtful look on his face. “It’s a good thing we aren’t octopuses, actually. They die after they mate.”
Steve stares at him for a moment. “That’s so sad.”
“Yeah. We would have died so many times.”
“Well,” Steve says, a mischievous smirk spreading across his lips. “I think we should make it one more. You know, in honor of the octopuses and all that…”

Saw 5 and Below got some Stranger Things Merch in, including blind bags. As I am a 'feel 'em up' expert at blind bags, I went to see if I could get my first figures from the fandom (because these are 👏 affordable 👏)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eddie's details compared to the others are insane to me. Even his guitar had multiple colors and is modeled correctly (meanwhile Steve bat is like a club and his cute tongue doesn't look near as good as Eddie's)
Tumblr media
If you live near a Five and Below and are searching for the boys a key feel feature is their hair lol. Steve and Eddie are the only ones who have the little hair rabbit ears.
It's tougher to feel accessories, so find the head and feel if there are two little poky knobs (Steve's are smaller, make of that what you will)
Tumblr media
This sticker set was also there 😍
These are the 'Yume' brand bags - not the boxes that are meant to look like retro TVs.

Well that’s new
Pairing: vampire! Eddie munson x reader, demogorgon hybrid! Steve harrington x reader, mindflayer! Billy hargrove x reader
Mentions: cursing, cuteness, biting
Part of the monster house series which I’ll be making a master list for soon
Tumblr media
You were in the middle of embalming a body when your assistant ran in saying there was a very shaken up man on the phone for you. You were quick to give your clipboard to go he assistant besides rushing towards your office slamming your door closed so your assistant couldn’t hear anything.
“Baby why are you calling me at work? Is everything okay? Is someone hurt?“ you heard what sounded like loud squeaking from the other line followed by some clatter and then Billy’s loud cursing. “Steve? Steve? What was that?” You were panicking at that point stomach tied up in knots as you thought about the worst case scenarios but you were snapped out of it by Steve saying “please come home” before the line went dead.
You were frantically gathering all of your stuff when your assistant knocked lightly on the door causing you to jump. “Are you okay?” She asks softly still clutching her clipboard “I’m fine I just need to get home, family emergency” before she could ask more on the issue you were already out the door and racing down the road heart racing.
When you get home you run inside as fast as you can “BOYS!” You shout out only to hear muffled squeaking followed by Steve and Billy cursing and what sound like them struggling with someone or something.
You rushed towards the garage where the source of the noise was coming room swinging open the bedroom door only to see Billy holding a writhing pillow case and an out of breath Steve but no sign of Eddie anywhere. “Are you okay?! What happened?! Where’s Eddie?!?” You quickly checked the two men over only finding small scratches and tiny bite marks.
“We have no clue” Steve mumbles beginning to scratch at the seam of his face/mouth like he usually does when he’s anxious “Eddie said he was just gonna practice his guitar in the garage since according to him it has better acoustics then we heard a loud crash, but when we went to see what had happened Eddie was no where to be found only this stinky little bat” Billy held up the writhing pillow case that was now squeaking quite loudly
You let out a soft sigh and gently take the pillow case from Billy’s grip figuring the poor little bat must be scared shitless. You gently open the top of the pillow case only to be met with a familiar pair of big brown eyes. “Eddie? You murmur with confusion only to be met with a pitiful squeak and a little nod.
“Oh you poor thing” you coo softly gently lifting Eddie from his pillowcase prison. “That’s Eddie?” Steve asks as you tuck Eddie into the front of your shirt to stop his shaking “kinda like him like this” Billy mumbles as Steve reaches out to pet Eddie’s comically large ears earning him a few happy squeaks
Once everything had settled down you all made your way back to the house deciding to sit on the couch and set Eddie on the table so he was facing all of you. “So Ed’s you don’t know what happened?” Eddie squeaks then shook his head no before flopping down in defeat his ears drooping. You clutched your heart at how cute Eddie was even if the situation was strange “aweeeee” you coo scooping up Eddie so you can smoosh your cheek against his fluffy one.
The next few days were….weird to put it lightly. Bat Eddie was more of a menace than regular Eddie was. He would squeak up a storm when he wanted something and if no one answered his squeaks and taps of his little claws he’d resort to light biting followed by more squeaking only louder. He also found evil joy in shitting where ever the hell he pleased which always seemed to be Billy’s workout equipment much to the man’s anger and annoyance. He also loved sitting on you or Steve’s head and tangling himself up in yours hair like it was his own personal nest.
Eddie had been a bat for about 2 weeks when it finally happened. You were holding him in your lap scratching behind his ears like he likes when suddenly there was a huge puff of smoke that blinded you and sent you into a coughing fit while you tried to fan it away. When most of it finally dispersed the first thing you noticed was the heavy weight on your lap followed by Eddie’s wild brunette hair coming into view. “Didja miss me sweetheart” Eddie chuckled pressing kisses all over your face and neck “mmm of course I did Ed’s but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t gonna miss bat you” Eddie gasped dramatically clutching his heart falling off your lap like he had been shot giving you a view of his very naked self.
“Ed’s go get dressed” you giggles only to receive another dramatic gasp from the man now on the floor “and now you don’t like to see me naked anymore?!?” God how you wound me” you rolled your eyes before the both of you made eye contact bursting out laughing.

Regular Customer | Steve Harrington x Reader (ch.7)
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist.
Chapter Six – Chapter Eight.
Pairings: Steve Harrington x fem!reader|plus-sized!reader|nerd!reader
Word count: 3297
Regular Customer | Chapter Seven.
The Hawkins High School basketball team had been banned from all school activities not just until the summer, but for the whole of next year. Unfortunately, even when Eddie was expelled, Principal Higgins closed the Hellfire Club forever. Eddie was avoided, as usual, and the gossipers were more interested in Jim Hopper being alive after eight months and Jason Carver being a mastermind than in Eddie; they just assumed he was a poor victim.
It was nice going back to routine, although it was also terrifying. Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Robin, and Max helped them resume their school life sharing space with anxiety, nightmares, hyper-vigilance… the whole PTSD package.
The last months of the school year were uncomfortable, but not bad. The Byers and Eleven moved into Hawkins again, with Hopper, who got his job as chief of police back. Y/N tutored Eddie on his worst subject so he could finally graduate. Max told them that she followed Y/N's advice of singing to herself when Vecna really got her, and it worked to the point she still had a functional arm and no other breaks on her body; she was in a wheelchair until her casted bones healed and Lucas was attentive enough to drive her everywhere. Nancy got accepted into her dream university and Robin started to hang out more with Vickie, from band. The Hellfire Club was relocated to Y/N's house, for Upside Down-aware people only; Eddie was their Dungeon Master and both Eleven and Max decided to play some campaigns with them. Steve went back to work at Family Video and Y/N was a regular customer once again.
Everything seemed calm.
On a hot summery Thursday afternoon, Y/N parked her car in front of Family Video.
"There she comes," Robin pointed out with a wink.
Instead of hiding behind the counter, Steve Harrington opened the door for his favorite regular customer. "Welcome to Family Video, what could we do for you today?"
"Ew, Steve, that's creepy," Y/N laughed, handing him the tape she wanted to return. "Did you finally talk to Keith about the fans?"
"We're so unlucky, Y/N. Save us," Robin complained.
"Go do something over there," Steve ordered his best friend with a pointed look.
Before Vecna, Steve had avoided Y/N and Robin had found any excuse to let them alone. After Vecna, Steve's best moment of the day was when Y/N visited the store, and Robin decided it was much fun to just remain there and watch. The girl flipped him the bird and disappeared. Y/N looked at Steve with lovingly fun eyes; he was blushing shyly while running a hand through his hair. The last time they talked about his love life was in March. It was last June now, and he hadn't dated anyone for that time.
"So, um… are you renting something for tonight?"
"Not really. My parents leave tomorrow morning on a business trip and they want to do some big family dinner tonight. I might be back tomorrow and rent something."
"Well, um… If you're free tomorrow we could, um…" He chuckled anxiously. "We could go to the theater. There's a new movie I think you might like."
She pressed her lips together to avoid a smile, "Sure. Who's coming?"
"Us. Just. Just us. If you want. I mean… as a date."
"I genuinely cannot believe you dated so much with this performance."
"It's different when I mean it, okay? What if you say no? What if it's too late? What if you don't like me anymore? I'm under too much pressure here, Y/N."
"Fine. Fine. I still think you could do it better."
"She's right, dingus!"
"Don't overhear, Buckley! Fine. Yeah. Y/N, I like you. A lot. I really do like you and I think we could spend more time together and date and see what happens. If you want. If you don't, it’s fine. Cool."
"Are you honest, Steve?"
"Never been more honest in my life. Swear to God and hope to die. What do you say?"
For the last few months, Steve and Y/N had spent more time together. He had cooked for her, as he promised, and they had spent more time with Robin and Eddie, too. The four of them enjoying their stupid life. Steve had panicked about Y/N leaving for college only to find out that no matter what university wanted her, she wasn't planning on leaving Indiana; she got into community college with Robin, that way they were both next to him and Eddie.
He wanted a better job. Eddie had gotten a good job as a mechanic and he still had his band, and Steve thought that was much more appealing than a video store. In the end, the long months in which they got to know each other better, helped Y/N's heart to completely threw itself into Steve's arms, and for Steve, he seemed to like her too. It seemed real, not some attraction based on shared trauma.
"Tomorrow then. What time?"
"I work until six. I could pick you up at–"
"Don't be ridiculous, Steve. Our houses are on the other side, it would be a waste of time to drive up and down. I'll wait for you there, you can drive me back home."
"Sounds good to me." He blushed.
"See you tomorrow, then."
"See you tomorrow."
"Good."
"Good."
"Good! Now get back to work."
"Robin!!"
*
She woke up too early that Friday. The anxiety was eating her alive. She had a date with Steve fucking Harrington! It was not a pity date; it was a true date. He hadn't dated anyone waiting for his mind to understand what his heart was pleading for, and he found his resolution. Her heart was beating faster in her chest. She was in such a good mood she was dancing and singing to her favorite songs while choosing what to wear for the evening. It was still too early, but there was nothing else she could do.
She was a nervous wreck for the day, that was her occupation. By the time she had to get ready, she was questioning her wardrobe choices for the twentieth time. She was a pants and Converse girl. Even in the summer, she felt more comfortable with shorts that weren't too short; it was all the thighs' fault. If their rubbing didn't bother her and didn't provoke rashes on the skin, she would love to wear fewer clothes in the hot weather. Eddie was kind enough to mention to her the observation he had made in the first weeks after Vecna, and that was the fact that Steve Harrington seemed charmed by her thighs. By her whole body, really. The moment he thought he was free of scrutiny, he ogled her from head to toe.
This was a date and she wanted to look pretty for her date, different than usual. Thanks to having dresses and skirts for special occasions, she had a variety to choose from. However, she was still undecided. The black one with polls? The white one without sleeves? How about the flowery one that had buttons?
Y/N finally opted for a sundress, white with a patron of tiny cherries, puffy short sleeves, and long to the knees. As for the shoes, let's be honest, she liked comfort better than fashion, and the red Converse Aunt Catherine sent her from New York fitted perfectly with the dress.
Two minutes outside her house and she was hating it. She couldn't go back and change, though.
She arrived at the theater fifteen minutes before the agreed time, and she was thankful for that because then she had time to calm down, and refresh herself for the walk. Her body was sticky with sweat and Hawkins' humid hot weather.
She waited.
Her skin dried and she felt fresher. It was time, but Steve wasn't there yet.
She waited.
The movie had started and she asked to use the phone. Nobody answered at the video store. Nobody answered at his place. What if something bad happened to him?
She waited anxiously.
The movie had finished and she was still waiting, alone. She felt her heart breaking. She didn't think that Steve had dumped her. At least not intentionally. She was terrified something bad had happened to him, and she didn't know what to do or where to go.
A guttural sound vibrated from the alley. Her skin broke into goosebumps. Opening her purse, she touched the knife she kept inside, ready to use it if needed. She followed the noise just to find a demogorgon pulling Max from the other side of the alley as Lucas screamed. Y/N ran towards them, knife in hand. The demogorgon disappeared into a small gate on the theater's back door that was getting smaller and smaller. She got it right in time to stop Lucas from diving in.
"Max!! Max!! It got her!! It got her!!"
"I'll go for her. Go find El. Go find everyone."
"No. No, I'll go with you."
"Then we're all dead. Lucas, go. Go!"
She went through the gate and it closed right behind her. Lucas' voice was muffled for a second before disappearing completely.
There she was, back again to the Upside Down. The demogorgon turned to her, leaving Max, wounded, on the floor. Y/N didn't hesitate in making the first move.
*
The end of his shift was near, and he'd been looking at the clock for the past hour. He was nervous. Steve couldn't remember the last time he was nervous about a date. When he dated Nancy he was confident because he was popular and he knew she liked him. Now he couldn't trust in social constructs established in high school, Y/N wasn't naïve, and most certainly wasn't blindly impressed by him. She might like him, love him even, but she was also weary of him due to the conversation she overheard before Vecna.
He had taken special care in choosing his clothes. He knew he was going to sweat like an animal at the store; therefore, he kept the date clothes in his car with the idea of changing just before going.
Steve was ready to go. He was ready to leave when the phone rang.
"Family Video, how can we help you?"
"Steve," Nancy sounded anguished.
"Hey, Nance, what happened?"
"It's Jonathan. I can't find him. I– Steve, I think I found a gate. Me and Jonathan were at his old house, in the woods, and– He's gone, Steve, I cannot find him."
"Okay, calm down. Are you sure it's a gate?"
"Yeah! Yes, I think so. It looks like the one I found when we were looking for Barb."
"I thought we'd ended those monsters by killing Vecna."
"I don't know. Steve, I don't know. I need help looking for him. Please, go to my house."
"I… Yeah. Fine. I have to make a call. You must call Hopper, right now."
Steve hung up before Nancy could answer and called Y/N's house without a response. The end of his shift must've given him time enough to change calmly of clothes and wait for Y/N at the theater at least thirty minutes before the agreed time; that's the only reason why he went straight to the Wheeler's house instead of waiting to meet with his date so he could take her with him. He still had time.
At the Wheelers' basement, Dustin was using his walkie to call Lucas with his classic "Code red. Do you copy? Code red."
"So, where's Hopper?"
"Steve!" Nancy threw herself into his arms. She was terrified and too tired to keep strong; she needed just a few seconds of weakness. "He said he was going to inspect the area. I couldn't find Jonathan. If something happens to him I– I don't–"
"Hey… Hey, we don't know that yet. Breath."
"Steve, he'd never been in the Upside Down. He–"
"If I survived I think my brother could too. He knows more stuff about the monsters that lived there than I did when I was there."
"Will's right. If Jonathan knows how to lure the demogorgon he must know how to avoid it."
"Where's Eleven?"
"She'd gone shopping with Joyce. We won't be able to reach her yet."
Steve glanced at his watch. He still had time. "I need to go somewhere. I'll–" Before he could finish, Nancy grabbed him by the arm.
"We need to go find Jonathan. I have my guns. I need backup."
"Nance… Hopper's on it. Come on!"
"But it's Jonathan!!"
"I don't think is safe to go anywhere until El gets here. We don't know what's happening. We knew the Upside Down monsters had a hive mind, we thought the Mind Flayer was controlling everything there and we didn't suspect someone was controlling the Mind Flayer. Vecna was the one who controlled everything and he's dead." Mike stated.
"Yeah. Yeah, that's true, but what if the life he created went rogue once he died instead of just dying." Dustin proposed. "I mean, we know how unreliable controlled life could be. He was super powerful, cool, he created life and controlled it but what if that life liked living too much?"
"I think Dustin's right. I still can feel it. It was weak before, but now–"
"Now, what Will? Now what!"
"I don't think they have hive minds anymore."
"Wow. Okay. That explains why they still exist and all, but why the fuck can they come and go now? Who opened a new gate? How?" Steve burst in. "I mean, they're not super powerful with mind shit, are they? They're just hunters, predators. How can they break the bridge every time they want to eat? It makes no sense."
"I hate to admit it, but Steve's right," Mike sighed. "We know that El opened the Mothergate, and we know that its range of powerful magnetism was big enough that it got Will's and Steve's houses in its radius. It didn't get as far as my house. And for Dart, as far as we know, the Mothergate was in its biggest state. After Vecna all the gates closed. At least, the ones at Hawkins did."
"The power," Nancy whispered. "Maybe it's the power. We know Vecna was the most powerful of all and only the combination of Eleven hurting his mind and us hurting his body took him out. If the monsters went rogue, then they might've followed the power residues to open small gates, and we know Vecna's power reached the whole town."
"It could be. In theory," Dustin noted.
"Then, in theory, there could be monsters everywhere in town," Mike pointed out, alarmed.
"We're fucked"
Steve took a look at his watch. Y/N was probably at the theater by now, waiting for him. He excused himself and went to use Wheeler's phone. He found the theater's phone number on the yellow pages but it took him three tries to get somebody to answer; he gave specific instructions to the guy and made him write what he had to say once he found her. He didn't like the idea, he still wanted to pick her up himself and make sure she was alright, but the kids and Nancy kept interrupting him, stopping him, talking to him. He felt imprisoned.
An hour went by without news from Y/N. Eleven and Joyce arrived at the Wheelers' house and Nancy explained what happened. With his new freedom, Steve got out of the house and right into his car.
"Steve! Where are you going!"
"I need to pick up Y/N. Call Eddie, Dustin, ask him if she's with him."
"Steve!" Nancy yelled as he drove away.
Eleven had confirmed their theory and Will's feeling; the demomonsters had gone rogue and had followed the remains of Vecna's power to hunt into their world. Steve had to find Y/N. He wouldn't be at ease until she was in sight. The idea of something bad happening to her… He knew her. He truly knew her now, and if there was any inch of danger, she would fucking jump into it to protect anyone. Robin wasn't like that, for example, she would grab the closest phone and call him or any of the others. Dustin would, too, unless someone he knew was in danger. Why didn't his car go faster? Fuck!
He stopped his car carelessly on Y/N's driveway. The house was silent, dark, and empty. What if she went to Eddie after the employee told her Steve wasn't going? Steve headed to the Munsons' new place so fast that his whole body was in tension; his hands grabbed the steering wheel as if his life depended on it, and he was stepping on the acceleration pedal with his whole will.
"Please. Please. Please."
Eddie and Wayne had received a good amount of money as compensation from the government, and they used it to move into a nice old house that was close to where Max used to live when Mrs. Mayfield was still with Mr. Hardgrove. In fact, their compensation helped them recuperate the house and Mrs. Mayfield was able to find just one job that fulfilled their economic needs. Max's medical bills were covered by the government. No questions asked.
Just as Steve was ready to make a turn and stop his car dangerously on Eddie's driveway, the metalhead's new car was getting out. They almost crashed. Both went out of their cars.
"It's Y/N with you?"
"No, dude. Dustin just called me and told me what happened. I'm going to look for her."
They both yelled. They still had one leg inside the car, their bodies resting on the open door. Both of them are ready to keep driving.
"She's not at home. I might have an idea where she's. Shit. You drive to Robin's, I'll call you there when I find her to go to the Wheelers."
"Okay! If Rob's not there I'll go to the Wheelers."
"Take care, man."
"You too, dude."
Steve did a very dangerous u-turn and drove like a fugitive heading to the theater. He should've gone there first. He should– Shit! Why did he expect that employee to do what he was told? His friends were making him trust strangers, and he shouldn't. He shouldn't believe people were warmhearted.
The boy was beating himself, nonstop, depreciating himself as his car came to a halt. Getting out of the car there was no sign of Y/N on the main street. That's when he heard it. "Y/N!!!" Lucas' voice screamed from the alley. Steve knew that alley well enough, he got beaten up by Jonathan Byers right there. Ironic.
Lucas Sinclair was shouting at a wall while hitting it with his bare hands. Steve ran towards him, stopping him.
"What the fuck happened, Sinclair?"
*
The room was quiet. Too quiet.
"Here we stand. Worlds apart. Hearts broken in two, two, two–" a well-known voice half-singing through the walkie Eleven held.
"How long are you going to keep singing?" Another voice complained.
"It worked for Will, it should work for us. Why, Max, do you only know Kate Bush songs? No Journey? They're good."
Steve let out a shaky breath of relief. At least they were fine. Nancy was still anxious, and he couldn't blame her; if he was feeling like this about a woman he had only known since March, she must've been going insane.
They were about to taste their second theory of the day when the Wheelers' basement door got opened. Hopper entered dragging a covered in Upside Down mucus Jonathan Byers.
A bubbling growl vibrated in the walkie.
Silence.
