That moment with Tai and Summer, where it looked like they were about to share a goodbye kiss but hugged instead...it gave me an impression that, despite starting a relationship and raising two kids together, there's an emotional barrier that they never quite overcame. Like they wanted things to work out and truly care for each other but...they don't want to admit to each other or themselves that it's just for the girl's sake of a stable family environment and nothing else.
