MY REVIEW ON PSYCHO PASS PROVIDENCE

Disclaimer: I’ve been Psycho Pass fans since (roughly) 9 years ago. I’ve never want to write any reviews on the series until now because I NEED THIS TO GET OUT OFF MY HEAD, and there’s some things I don’t understand. Still, I’m just a fan, this review is based on my opinion only. After I finish this so called essay, I found more question than answer, so if you don’t want extra headache, don’t read it. Also if you’re not Kouaka shipper, pass it, you’ll find me annoying.

Apologize beforehand if there’s any typo or any missed info. I hope you understand my write (English isn’t my first language, so I struggled a lot.)

This post consist on four part; review, my opinion on character, relationship, and my irregular thoughts throughout scene.

BEWARE OF THE SPOILERS.

STORY, CHARACTER

PPP occur after Kougami’s return to Japan. Shorty after, Peacebreaker make their way to steal Stronskaya Paper for their gain, terrorize everyone that blocked their plan. Akane can’t stay still after witnessing horrible acts of this group and their leader, determine to arrest them along with division 1 and SAD team.

Overall story is pretty straightforward, which I like. They make a new storyline and new interesting character and villain, makes it compelling. A new system like General is a fresh idea, rather than just stick with Sybil System. We actually can relate to villain, learn through his trauma and backstory, eventually we feel sympathy for him. Not to mention some cool stunt and action.

Aside from storyline, what makes this more interesting is we get to see relationship development between Kougami, Akane and Ginoza before S3. The three OG character since s1, and how they see each other now.

Akane, as a main character can finally have some development also in the end of the movie. I wish they explore it more.

MUSIC, VISUAL & ANIMATON

The music director did a good job on this. The music match with the atmosphere of the scene so well, so we, as an audience totally immerse in the story. Some soundtrack even take samples from season 1, create nostalgic feeling into it.

Production I.G did it again for visual animation! Texture detail, smooth animation and background image is top tier. I have no right to complain anything.

OVERALL CONCLUSION (7.5/10)

This is what movie should be. Action, good plot, good character development. I had so much fun than I expected to be and recommend to every anime fan to watch it.

MY OPINION ON CHARACTERS:

Kougami

Kougami being Kougami again. Ever since SS3, I think we truly knows what kind of person he is, and he’s never change. That might be the reason why he didn’t regret what he’s done. Some people care for his well being though, like Prof. Saiga and Akane, she’s concern he might be used as violence tool only, that’s why she actually wanted to bring him back to CID.

In this movie, aside from being agent, it’s refreshing to see him being a detective mode even for a little moment, like the scene he had with Shion, because apparently he has brain too :/

2. Akane

Some thing never change, Akane and her unshakeable trust to the system. Like I mention before, I wish they explore more the moment before she took the action.

Throughout the film, she seems more emotional than usual. Her explosive anger remind me of s2 Akane so much.

After the incident, I was speechless of how brave she is to let it all go. Imagine your flawless, peaceful, secure life suddenly take turns and now all people will label you as unhinged. She earn my respect.

3. Ginoza

He’s truly MVP, along with Sugo. He basically carried everyone, especially how he help Sugo and Frederica.

His interaction with Kougami at first is amusing and predictable. He only mad for awhile, before he finally accept him again. At the end, his face shown frustrated for Akane’s decision, leaving everything that she achieve so far. I wonder if he feel failed again to ‘save’ his friend.

4. Frederica

She’s the perfect example of good subordinate, I think. She’s the type who obedient to her boss, not judging or question Yabuki’s decision. The contrast between her and Akane in this aspect made me laugh and make me realize that Akane is such a rebel, (lol). But she wouldn’t rebel if Sybil wasn’t an asshole.

5. Akira

Sad tool to Yabuki and Shindo :’( Seriously, he remind me so much of Kougami. Akira is selfless, willing to sacrifice himself as undercover agent for MoFA. Not to mention he even beat Kougami and Sugo in close fight, state how strong he is. If it’s not because of his kindness to spare Kougami on that scene with Tonami possessing Yabuki, Kougami would be dead by now. I think that’s why Kougami make frustrated face when he die. Seriously, his death is such a shame. He also makes me think that Kougami wouldn’t end up like Tonami, but more like him, because until PP3, the man doesn’t have ambition.

RELATIONSHIP OPINION:

Kougami and Akane

Idk if some people see this relationship is sink, or whatever. For me it’s actually the opposite. Akane FINALLY understand Kougami a little more. Even inspired by him. I don’t know exactly what she see in Kougami that inspire her to shot Kasei, is it because despite his CC, he actually have conscience, and ‘certain’ reason to commit crime, thus leads to make people questions (and debate) his justice?

(I’m an idiot to not know this, lol).

Akane care for him. I know the official denied romance between them, but she clearly care for him. She doesn’t want him to work like a bloodthirst hound, and value his life. At the same time I can also see what writers planning to do with him since Desmond Rutaganda address him in PP movie. 

I also notice they cut down their screen time together, even some scene that usually involve in face zooming, now they don’t. They could make their reunion so much more friendly, but they choose not to. (My guess is because they’re main characters, they can’t become lovers, that could potentially mislead the genre.) Honestly, this is so sad. If they can’t make them canon, why bother making such a great dynamic between them. Male and female can’t be friends, if you ask me. It’s too late for sudden change between them.

It’s a shame because I miss them being a partner again. Fight side by side.

Anyway, probably the only person who support her deeds is just Kougami. Regarding the convo these 2 have after he shot Tonami will address later.

2. Ginoza and Akane

Ginoza intention to become shield for her is honestly so pure. His reasoning sounds like personal feelings rather than fulfilling his duty as enforcer. Other than that, I’m more curious about his feelings after the incident. From what I see through his frustrated face and kind of ‘resentment’ face in PP3, my guess he’s somewhat angry to her for sacrifice her life (and angry at himself). I wonder what kind of face he’d make if he knew Kougami inspired her (lol, rip Kougami.)

3. Kougami and Frederica

Not so much thought, beside Kougami actually look angry at her when he lied to the team and professor. Though only angry for a second, he quickly being professional again when Akane mad at Frederica. (and look at Akane face, she’s shock and somewhat feel distance because her ex-enforcer standing up to his new boss.) Poor choice of words, Kougami.

ahhhh everyone's favourite dictator.

First impression

I read Hogfather first, and so I didn't think much of him at all. Downey left way more of an impression on me, obviously. Then I read Guards! Guards! and I thought him mildly entertaining, though perhaps a bit boring and predictable.

Overall, I think my takeaway was: What a stupid nerd, love that for him, but he should be more of a weird freak.

(Do I have Downey's approach to Vetinari? Possibly.)

Impression now

I'm not sure my impression has changed too much. While Vetinari does change a bit as a character over the series (though in the last few books he's pretty OOC, in my opinion), it's not distinct enough of an arc for me to really alter my opinions on him.

(tbf I do stop accepting canon at a certain point, because there are some books of Pratchett's that shouldn't have been published because they weren't up to standards due to the whole mental decline. Let him write all he wants, just don't publish them. Jesus.)

Like, Pratchett doesn't write deep characters for the most part. Vimes and Granny have depth to them - but they're POV characters so I would hope they have depth. But side characters, not so much. Which is reasonable, you know. Pratchett was writing satire and pretty basic political commentary, he wasn't doing character studies or deep literary explorations.

So, I think Vetinari is a fun spoofing of the stereotypical villainous dictator wherein he's still a dictator but he's not terrible. He's sort-of benevolent. (He still has a scorpion pit and has Problem People assassinated and locks away others who he likes but doesn't want out in the open for various reasons i.e., Leonard. Still very much a tyrant - don't get on his bad side or you'll disappear. But he's nicer than Snapcase and Winder. Low bar but he crosses it.)

I like that he's very weird and has an idiosyncratic sense of humour. That delights me. Also his fastidiousness and clear foibles and ticks are charming. That he refuses to leave treats on Wuffles' grave that Wuffles didn't like in real life is a nice detail on some of the innter softness that is in him.

That said, he can be a hard one to get into the interiority of his head because he's so...untouchable, in a certain way? He always has a trick, he always has an answer, he is always able to turn a situation to his advantage no matter what to an implausible degree, etc.

Like, Vimes I understand. I can get into his head. Same for Angua or Carrot or Downey or Sybil. But Vetinari is on the harder side. I can do it, but it's not as easy as it is for others.

It's the perfection, I think, because TP needed Vetinari to never not be in power therefore he has to be impenetrable and able to always maintain control, or reclaim control in a Cool Fashion should it have been wrested from him in some manner.

We also just don't spend much time with him, compared to others. (Barring Downey, but Downey is disastrously human so I get him.)

Favorite moment

Probably most of his vacationing with Colon and Nobby during Jingo. That was all rather entertaining.

Idea for a story

I feel like I've written all the stuff I want to with Vetinari? I'm not sure I have something off hand that I can think of.

Unpopular opinion

He ain't the woke leader fandom sometimes weirdly projects him as. He is High Tory who does progressive changes only when he thinks it will best suit him to maintain stability within the city, overt control of Ankh-Morpork as a whole, and/or to ensure the city's broader hegemony within the region.

In Night Watch he isn't written like a sixteen/seventeen-year-old and I wish he had been.

Favorite relationship

Downey lol. I mean, come on - those two have history and it's going to be Stupid and Ridiculous.

I also like him and Madam and wish we saw more of that, especially in present day as an adult.

Favorite headcanon

Other than Madam being his mother? His leg wound is an actual disability and will steadily get worse with age and Vetinari's seeming lack of a lot of physical activity.

Pratchett sort of writes it off as a whatever/funny point/something that isn't an actual problem for Vetinari (because Vetinari can't have real problems due to the need for him to be perfect so he never has to write political changeover in the city in the present day) - and I always found this annoying.

So yeah, the leg wound is a real problem and his cane is an actual mobility device and not some "aha, you thought I was weak but I'm actually not!" gimmick.

introducing my psycho-pass oc! brought to life by @catyypss 💜 i haven't fully fleshed out the details, but here's what we (i) know about her so far!

⤷ kogami's twin sister ⤷ honestly, i haven't given her a name yet. 😂 ⤷ originally an actress/singer (i actually wanted to explore what celebrities were like in a sybil world, but then season 3 came out and we did get to see that! how cool!) ⤷ BUT she became an inspector once her brother was demoted ⤷ (she really wanted to protect her brother! 😭 and she thought this was the best way to help him since he wouldn't have access to everything anymore.) ⤷ respects her brother a lot and looks up to him (they have a good relationship!) ⤷ also went to high school with kogami & ginoza ⤷ as kids, kogami tried to make her a bookworm but homegirl just... would not. (definitely teased her about it.) ⤷ people assume she's not that booksmart but she ranked above average at school & she has a sharp memory (it helped her a lot as a performer, but if she showed off a little while investigating -- can't blame a girl) ⤷ kogami & ginoza were both concerned when she said she'd become an inspector. kogami was much more quick to accept it (he trusts his sister a lot), whereas ginoza was much more upset ⤷ relatively good at maintaining her hue (learned a lot of stress management as a celebrity) ⤷ among the enforcers, she and yayoi chat a lot about music (though their tastes are very different), and maybe she and masaoka came up with ideas to tease gino ⤷ she's honestly not sure what to make of the sybil system, especially post-season 1; it's a system that judged both her brother and her friend (ginoza) so harshly. she knows they're both good people, so how fair can it all be? ⤷ personality-wise, i think she's level-headed and headstrong (would also be the type to stop bullying, with her words not her fists), she's charming and knows it, and growing up around kogami's teasing, she also loves to have fun and use her wit in her own way ⤷ post season 1 idea? she becomes a reporter or journalist (i just love the yayoi & oc team agenda!) to focus on elevating unheard voices, particularly of people sybil would try to otherwise ignore or disapprove of (very big immigrants rights activist in dejima once japan opened borders) i also think she would be so cool as a spy...

oc and ginoza ⤷ ginoza was interested in her when they were in school (come on, she's super pretty!), but i hc that he didn't feel confident asking her out (and has likely super tsundere about his feelings this whole time) ⤷ he DID support her during school plays/shows ⤷ i think oc was also intrigued by this serious guy from the get-go and soon developed her own crush, but because of her career, maybe she didn't have time for romance either ⤷ they were still good friends all throughout school and into adulthood (ginoza would attend oc's shows/premieres and bring flowers!) ⤷ UNTIL kogami's demotion ⤷ as much as he respects his best friend and as much as he cares about oc, he just doesn't think it's a good idea for her to enter the mwpsb for a reason like this (she doesn't realize what she's getting herself into) ⤷ let's say they're just disgruntled partners for a while (but gino's a softie; he's not going to stay mad forever!) ⤷ BECAUSE I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP!!1!!! ⤷ given ginoza's personality pre/during s1, i think she would have to be the one to pursue him a little ⤷ but once he's demoted, nothing else matters, the floodgates open, and he tells her his feelings ⤷ i think because the two of them already cared a lot about each other before the timing was right, it would be emotional when they first get together (oc wants ginoza to be happy and want more for himself, ginoza wants to cherish and be good to the person he's held at arms length for so long) -- not sure if they tried dating before and it failed, and then tried again after ginoza becomes an enforcer, or if they try for the first time only after he's an enforcer. either way, the road is very long and filled with pining.

i know i've typed a lot, but i feel like i've left a lot of holes in her story. i mean, she doesn't even have a name yet... how can i name her ship?!?!?

i really want to develop her former life as an actress/idol more! (particularly, a darker story, like a crime happening at her agency or something?) give her some work-related trauma.

i also want to explore her naïveté, with how she decided to become an inspector. obviously, she passed the requirements, but does she have the heart? can she pull the trigger? what's gonna be her "oh shit" moment? (she needs PLENTY!!)

other minor things: ⤷ it was meeting akane that made her realize the way she supported her brother wasn't what was healthiest for him and his mind. she respects her a lot! ⤷ she really loves cute people! so she really wants to be a big sis to characters like mika, kei, arata, etc. (naturally, she thought baby gino was ADORABLE)

some future ideas i want to focus on: ⤷ how does she separate herself from her brother? ⤷ would she and gino even work as a couple? (too late, they gotta since i already commissioned art of them. LOL)

Thoughts on the upcoming Fawlty Towers reboot coming in the future (plus any thoughts on the somewhat leaked plot details for the FT reboot)?

Let's start off by saying that I'm pretty sure this reboot will never see the light of day imo. This ESSAY will be based only on my view of Basil sooo take whatever you want from it.

okay so Sybil died, poor lady, and everybody else left a 90-something year old Basil ALONE (let's remember Basil is canonically several years older than John), and I don't think he'd be the type of 90 or more year old who would still be doing a lot of things, I think he would be a bit braindead IMO. This doesn't sound like the greatest plot ever but maybe John will surprise us? idk and I don't think so, after all Fawlty Towers was about ALL the characters involved: they were just like the organs of a body and Basil was the brain, that is, important but it really couldn't work all alone. Now this body is mostly dying and maybe this brain can't keep doing all the work alone, so just kill it (don't kill John for real please). It should have ended in 1979 with Basil having to close the hotel after the dude found the mice in the biscuit box or whatever it was idk I've watched the last episode back in 2021 and never again because it's not a fav of mine.

let's comment the plot now:

-The very fact that they killed off Sybil like that, I don't know...just say Basil divorced her (or the contrary, which is more likely) and she went her own way somewhere really really far away, she doesn't really have to die to write her off.

-Back to the thing that now Basil is like a mummy or something: it surprises me he can turn a smartphone on tbh HAHAHAHHAHAHAH. idk I imagine him as being not too keen on technology, maybe since the release of the first home computers

-Let's now have a brief word about the cheating on Sybil trope: IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN, END OF THE STORY. Basil may have been sexually repressed, as some state, but I don't think he would really fuck a guest just like that, he would never have the balls (and interest) to. I mean, he knew Sybil would have killed him for good if she found out (and I'm sure she would have somehow, I just trust her okay). Plus he seems the type of guy who wasn't really playing about his set of morals. But maybe there still might be a teeny tiny chance he might have done it and got away with it? Well I'm sure that would make him the most hated man on earth just like his creator John. Bye bye "most beloved character" title :/.

-Him being in the Caribbean would mean a longer and not as equally good edition of "The Germans" episode. Now this point is a quite delicate one, because 1 honestly it's true you can no longer make race diversity jokes without having the OBLIVIOUS public coming at you because they don't understand when a racist joke is SATIRE about racist people or JUST racist, it's all on the context. 2 As we all know, John isn't (and imo has never been) the most admirable person when it comes to talking about diversity and all that dance and, as many are afraid of, I'm too afraid he would insert some "racist" phrases that are probably JUST racist and no longer SATIRE as it was in "The Germans" since, you know, he seems to have gone completely nuts on a random day of 2019 and he's changed COMPLETELY. 3 honestly, John is a smart person after all, maybe he will still manage to make BASIL look racist as always and not HIM HIMSELF (what I'm saying is: he must still be able to diversify between what BASIL would say and think and what HE would say and think).

-idk the type of stuff Camilla did because it's mostly unknown movies, but not the cool type like wow this movie should be more known, no I think she starred in that type of "2$ budget movie white middle aged women watch" (I'm white too ofc but not as white as an american so let me use this expression). Plus she's a standup comedian soooo...I've never really like series written by stand up comedians, except Seinfeld tbh (even tho I'm not a fan of Jerry Seinfeld in general). Maybe she'll lack that something that a "witty-at-times" serie like Fawlty Towers needs. But again I don't know her and I hope to be wrong.

IN CONCLUSION I'd like to say that honestly I'd give it a watch, illegally of course, John shan't see a single shelling coming from my view of the reboot. But who knows? Maybe he'll prove all of us wrong by writing another great thing? Maybe not as great as the 1975/1979 version but still acceptable? Maybe it will even have its deep moments who knows...

PERSONALLY I already know I wouldn't like it as I am more old school than Basil could ever be, and I despise anything made after 1990s/2000s and I cringe everytime I hear a reference to social networks (or internet itself) or today's, inexistent let me add, so called "pop culture". Maybe this wouldn't be the case as it's not needed? Idk we'll see when and IF the series will be made. I only hope it won't be a sort of "Cleese propaganda" and the umpteenth "Cleese and daughter thing that is actually kinda cringe, Camilla should have stuck to modelling" type of thing (it may sound harsh but I don't really like standup comedians)

QUICK FACTS: BEFORE

isra was a fairly popular girl in her schools growing up. she had the pretty face, the gentle voice, and the kind demeanor whenever someone interacted with her. if you were to ask someone at this point in her life what kind of person she was, though, they would have a difficult time answering, as isra always held people at an arm's length from herself.

in truth, isra was a very down trodden person who felt like no one really saw who she was behind her sweet smile: a total nerd who was obsessed with all things true crime and macabre. she loved horror movies and all things gross, but knew for a fact people would never approve of such hobbies for a girl as popular as her.

just before she was to start college, isra decided to start changing her ways and branching out into parts of life she's never experienced before. she didn't want to be alone anymore, thus, she did something she'd never done before: she went on a date.

that date would prove to be her worst decision, as on a drive home from that movie theater, late at night on a busy saturday, isra would lose control of her car and crash.

authorities and the news later on would say that it was a drunk driver who caused that three car pileup in the middle of the road, and that there was little concern for foul play, but out of the five people involved in the crash, two were unaccounted for, and a certain isra sander was one of them.

QUICK FACTS: AFTER

isra, or sybil, as is her codename now, understands that the person she was before was "her", in a sense, but it feels like she was being held underwater for many, many years.

perhaps it was the influence of her former gruesome interests, but she took to life under the order of the scarlet nightmare like a bird to roost. the competition between herself and her comrades, the tense nature of the relationship between her and her handlers, the violent reality of her job- none of it phased her.

in fact... very little phases isra now. she has difficulties with expressing and understanding her emotions. she's trying to get better at it, and can often be found wondering locations full of people and observing how they act in "normal human" interactions, but there's always something just... slightly off about her. to the untrained eye- she probably just looks like a bit of a freak.

she identifies as agender, but only very loosely. in truth, she doesn't really refer to herself with pronouns or even with her name, as isra struggles with identifying herself as human, let alone any gender. she uses she/her pronouns only because it's familiar and easy, but she definitely does not see herself as a woman

now in anchorage, isra has need for very little. after everything she has been through, she doesn't care for materialistic objects outside of maybe her laptop and phone- because how else would she watch cool bug videos on youtube?

she takes her job as a housekeeper shockingly seriously, and is known to service and clean an entire dirty double queen suite in thirty-five minutes flat.

she lives incredibly barebones in the kingpin trailer park, so much so that someone visiting may mistake it for an unsold lot.

she may not be the most welcoming kind of person to sit next to and chat with, but once someone gains that very rare trust she gives out...theres no telling what she wouldn't do for them- no matter how disgusting.

ALL FACTS are subject to be edited or changed completely as she grows as a muse!! i will be sure to update this as needed!

I love how they made aventurine so connected to the waste land like it's so cool, what with it being a poem about disillusionment emptiness and despair, the boss fight achievements quoting the sybil and the phrases in the maze being a stanza from 5th part of the poem set in the desert which are all pretty self explanatory, but there's also the fact "death by water" is a reoccurring theme in the poem and he was born on a rainy day, hates the rain now as an adult and "dies" by acheron's hand who is associated with rain that's just... ok then

So the Myth AU takes inspiration from various mythologies and their stories, while we are currently taking a lot of inspiration from Greek myth, there's quite a few nods to Norse, Egyptian, and more!

Quick Backstory, the current Gods (TPODG charas) are the New Gods, the Old Gods were cruel and terrible, so their children eventually arose and deposed them. None of the children were related to each other, because no. There were enough Old Gods, that the New Ones are not pulling a Greek Pantheon, lmao.

Basil is unique because he was born to a human and God relationship, so he's much more connected to the Humans. The other Gods don't really get them, and Henry especially does not care for them--often treating them as experiments and causing more than a few tragedies. Henry is the God of Death btw, though now he's the God of the Dead, having taken over for his older brother who was deposed after siding with the old Gods.

The current story is split into four parts: The Wedding, The Garden, The God-Killer, and Life Itself (yes, that is a GA reference :))

The Wedding consists of Basil and Henry's meeting, courtship, and then, of course, wedding. Above, is their first meeting. Henry's experiment went awry and the human escaped to Basil's garden, so Henry and Oliver (younger Wotton brother) set out a trap and accidentally caught Basil.

Basil primarily works with Sybil, who is the Goddess of Seasons. Since he's so connected with the humans, she relies on his guidance to ensure a prosperous Spring and gentle winter. (Yes, i did change her design, lol)

After The Wedding, Basil lives with Henry in the Underworld, often being much more forgiving and gentle to the souls there. He definitely brought life down there, sometime too much for Henry's taste. Basil primarily resides in a garden that is between the entrance to the Underworld and the Human World. Some hundreds of years after the war, Dorian stumbles in and then The Garden begins!

hmmm let me think i havent really been consuming horror or at least not actively + finding new stuff :0 well there is myhouse.wad! its been around for a few months but if you dont know its a doom mod! its a map of the mod creators deceased friends childhood home and it appears innocent at first but things quickly turn dark. you can either play it yourself here or watch a playthru of it or watch a video essay the essay i watched that introduced me to the mod was this one!! its got unfiction aspects to it in the other files you can look at and just from watching someone play depending on how good you are at games maybe its not super painful to navigate BUT IT IS PRETTY FUCKING LENGTHY so im not sure if youd wanna play it if you get frustrated easily w/ that kind of thing it might be too much :00 either way i think its a neat little gem :DD !! cws for the usual horror imagery and house fires and surreal imagery is prevalent throughout and im not sure exactly how but you can end up killing a dog early on etc! next recommendation uhhhh, the og coraline novel maybe? idk if youve seen the film or not but either way i dont think itll affect your reading experience! i read it b4 i saw the film and the book just means a lot to me!! side note ive always thought it was really cool that book coraline and movie coraline as characters were so different from each other but both still valid interpretations of kids and the way kids act :o not sure if books or horror for kids (PRETTY WELL WRITTEN HORROR STILL TBF) is what youre looking for but give it a try if youre interested!! cws for pretty common horror imagery and body horror and eye related horror and ghosts dead kids and such! What can I say, I’m a follower by nature. Also, couldn’t find the original, can’t give a shout out to the maker. This is someone else’s copy pasted in and then their answers deleted.

TRAITS

Your “canon” trait combination? The canon-est playthrough I have is just my first one, Micah, the one where everything is a surprise. The traits for that playthrough are Book Smart and Keen-Eyed. I get why people think this combination is a little boring, but it’s great for a first playthrough. It gives you so much information, and its Skeptic Vibes work well when you don’t know how far the rabbit hole goes. I also want to give a shoutout to TTA and Street Smart (MC name: Kitty), hands down the funniest combination. This jaded cynical loner who talks to cute little animals like a fucking disney princess

What 3rd trait would you add for hardcore mode? I did do a hardcore mode, it was TTA, Mystical, and Hot. It’s a good hardcore set of traits, hot helps make up for the (to some characters) off-putting weirdness of the Mystical/TTA combination, and, because TTA and Mystical haven’t been special traits yet, it means your playthrough isn’t that much worse than a normal one. For my canon-ish runs, Keen-Eyed and Street Smart have some cool interactions, but overlap too much to make for a good playthrough. Keen-Eyed, Street Smart, And something else could be interesting.

What trait are you least drawn to? This is a fairly common answer, but Hot. It’s passively useful, and getting out of the Big Bad Choice of episode 4 is pretty great, but it has much fewer active interesting choices than other traits. 

Speaking of common answers, Powerful Build is fun you people are just nerds mean

Coolest trait? Street Smart. All the traits have their moments, but Street Smart is by far the most op and gives the most cool opportunities. Also, it makes a funny as fuck companion to half the traits. Street Smart/TTA?  Street Smart/Book Smart? Street Smart/Mystical? All absolute riots

ROMANCE

Who are you romancing? Everyone, sooner or later. Micah is romancing the dilf supreme, thanks to being in a prime position to do so after rescuing Rosalina/banishing Charlie. Kitty went with Kaneeka, my most common LI. I am not immune to goth girls or the music of Bruce Springsteen. It is also my mission to rescue her from Sybil.

What romance are you least interested in? Listen, Wayne girls (gn), I’m glad you’re having fun, but it’s not for me. Also, Stella’s romance is frustrating on a purely technical level. I get that it’s on purpose and I get why they did it that way, but it’s so hard to unlock. It’s especially frustrating that it’s so unclear whether Stella can even stand you until the very end.

Who would you romance if every character was eligible? I want Bo to [REDACTED REDACTED  REDACTED REDACTED] me until I can’t walk straight.  

MISC

What character would hurt the most if something bad happened to them? Something bad is happening to everyone, but I will riot if Sybil successfully traps Kaneeka, Bo is made any sadder, or the curse on the pastor isn’t broken.

Would you stay in Scarlet Hollow once the week is over? I mean, we’ll see what happens, but the game seems to be heading in a Scarlet Hollow is not going to survive the week direction. If I’m wrong on that... maybe, but probably not. If some major changes get made and it becomes less of a ghost town (...literally?) by the end, it might be worth it, but I’m a city person at heart.
