Their tent was a miserable place to be. Rabbit stood his ground near the entrance, arguing with Smith to let him out. If it wasn't for whoever was their assigned guard at the moment, Far would've snuck out a while ago, and Ordon was likely to follow. At least he had a tent. Though company wasn't preferable, he had chosen his companions so this was who Far was stuck with.

Only Minish, the lucky thing, had managed to avoid the sickness that the other three had woken up with. They were trapped in their quarantine until they got better or the rest of the group came down with it too.

Rabbit broke into a fit of coughing, inadvertently letting Smith win. He collapsed onto his bedroll, breathing hard after it passed.

"They won't let me out," Rabbit groaned. "Not even to get some water. We're to ask for it to be brought to us."

"C'mon, we can't have everybody getting sick," Far said tiredly, and glanced at Ordon.

Far and Ordon had butted heads earlier, when they had noticed each others' predicaments. Ordon had been so overbearing that Far had been freaked out a bit, but he had retaliated by simply giving Ordon the exact same treatment. Ordon had shifted to his wolf form after his attempts to coddle Far were thwarted, and they had retreated to opposite corners of the tent.

Ordon gave a weak growl. Far gave him a lopsided grin right back.

"But I can still do things!" Rabbit protested. "Look at me, I'm fine! I'm barely sick!"

"You'll hit your fever soon enough," Far said, and Ordon huffed agreement.

Rabbit coughed again, and Far made a considering noise.

"Hey Ordon, what say we both get what we want?" Far said quietly, gesturing at Rabbit.

Ordon flicked an ear and heaved himself up. He crept behind Rabbit, who was completely unaware, and easily took his sleeve between his teeth. He gently tugged and Rabbit had no choice but to stumble over to where Far was waiting.

"Ordon, don't you dare!" Rabbit hissed as Ordon slipped behind him and shoved him into Far's arms. "Far, you're roasting, now isn't the time for cuddles-"

Far laughed softly, holding his squirming partner tight. "We're all stuck in here together, we might as well."

Far is not tall. He's SO not tall. He's 5'5" in 1" heels. He's a very average human height for much of the world.

Runny thinks that Spotty is onto his schemes. She DOES notice that he's oddly interested in poisons and treatments that went awry, but what she's really picking up on is how Yellow and Runny do not like each other.

She was into the gossip before she noticed anything nefarious.

Spotty is as friendly as always towards Runny in spite of his guarded nature, but it's Yellowfang who she really gets along with. Their personalities just mesh. Yellow is snarky and mean-humored, and Spotty never takes anything personally while adoring the macabre.

She got her leeches from Yellow, years ago, as an offhanded exchange like, "We use leeches for joint pain. The bastards breed like rabbits. Want some? You'd be saving them from the grillstone."

WindClan: Barkface

She really likes him, he's super friendly and wise. He's a stickler for rules though, so Featherwhisker taught her to be careful about what she says around him.

Asking him for advice is almost always the first step. If the living medics can't give her the answer, she will invoke StarClan instead.

RiverClan: Brambleberry, Mudfur

She actually doesn't like Brambleberry very much... something about her is very... fake. Like she wants to say a lot more than she actually does. It is a curiosity that itches, Spotty doesn't like not knowing things.

But she guesses it has to do with Mudfur, who she thinks is surprising to see as a medicine cat. It's fascinating to her that he could be a Cleric and also be raising a kitten at the same time. She thinks RiverClan's devotion to the Queen’s Rights are admirable; it's a beautiful thing that they care so deeply about kitten wellbeing.

Backstory: Edward "Eddie" Delkins was born to a "happy" married couple named Millie and Jacob Delkins.  He had two siblings. An older brother named Terrance and a two-year younger sister named Elle. His parents always expected a lot from him but hey, he still loved them. He revealed he was trans when he was 6 but of course his parents didn't like that, but his siblings accepted him and helped him go through treatment. When the outbreak happened, he was in his room, reading until he heard his older brother yelling. When he went to check what was going on, he saw two zombies eating his mom. He   lets out a horrific scream as his brother practically threw him, his sister's bunny Fluffball, the family dog Rofee and his sister into the van and drove off. They soon find Pedro who raises them like his own children. In season 5, the Delkins siblings and their dad were reunited. Elle and Eddie had their suspicions and didn't trust him but Eddie pretended to so he could get the truth from him. Once Eddie and his dad were alone, Eddie's dad told him about his plan to wipe out the survivors and demanded him to join them, even guiltripping him but Eddie refused, causing his dad to go off the edge. He soon went  to the survivors and attacked them with the Fireflies. But the fight stopped when Eddie shot his dad. And the rest is history :D

12 year old Jules was very sad and my brother sent me a link to Cancer (I suspect it had something to do with my grandma dying of it a year beforehand).

we already have the spoilers onestar’s confession. i’l put them under the cut but

whitetail is cannonically sorrelshine’s daughter and onestar’s apprentie and one and white get together! yay. also runningbrook is very probably whitetail’s littermate and she dies because of the poisoned rabbits which okay but i hate it. 

one and white are also leagues older than what they are in tpb. whitetail is darkstripe’s age, but apparently still an apprentice in tbp, maybe that’s why they timeskipped like crazy, to not show that mess of a timeline.

also the fucking timeskip between just before windclan was kicked out and midnight. we don’t see windclan in the twolegplace, gorsepaw is barely mentionned jfc what the fuck. gorsepaw was a main thing to show in the books, to know what tigerstar told him, to just know the kid better! but nope. not even one chapter

rip brushpaw too. poor kid didn’t deserve to die like this.

I'm glad you picked up this game because oh gosh so many appealing choices! Can. Can I ask about two of them. XD Cuz LU Ravioli Interrupted definitely sounds fun but I'm also curious about some of your personal/general stuff. Like Rabbit Bio Piece?

Oooo two fun ones. Of course you can ask for two!

LU RavioLi Interrupted is one I need to restart, because it's barely a fragment but it absolutely is meant to be a Spicy making-out fic, and maybe PWP if it works out (although the "interrupted" obviously implied it wasn't going to actually get anywhere, bo both boys dismay.) Mostly, it was my intention to write really cute Ravio/Legend ship fic and it's definitely still on my roster, I just probably won't continue that one.

The Rabbit Bio Piece is a That Broken Promise fic. I have a few "Bio pieces" done, like Chief's Coming Home and Skyloft's Where Demons Have Gone Before. I actually have a set of them linked in the main series if you check on AO3, and (try to) link them all in their bios in my pinned post here, although I'm behind on keeping up with that. I do intend to have one for everyone and I actually am done all but Rabbits so far!

I've had some trouble with his. I know roughly what I want to write, but it's uh, extremely dark in directions I don't normally write. I'll include a snippet from the fic (It's technically complete) under a cut, but the gist is that Rabbit had an abusive marriage after LttP that ended with him suffering severe post-partum depression. The trip to Labrynna and the start of Oracle of Ages was part of him trying to move on and recover. So...

As much as I write dark fics, the really dark reality of how abusive long-term relationships go isn't one I explore often and I'm having some struggles making it work as a one-shot that feels satisfying!

Nevertheless, snippet under the cut. CW for abusive partner, and flashbacks/PTSD from combat.

They had a large courtyard; across it was his in-law's rooms, opposite their own. Link thought nothing of it. He exhaled slowly and passed his short sword between each hand, adjusting to the now unfamiliar weight on his arms. It had been too much to pick up a sword again for so long. Too close to the pain.

He waited, as if expecting the memories to sneak up on him, then brushed it off. This was a conversation he’d had with his uncle, while he tried to talk him out of the marriage: that the memories would fade, but still be unpredictable. That the pain was normal.

(Link hadn’t asked him if he remembered dying. He hadn’t asked him if he’d heard, or asked, or spoken to the other guards, in case any of them remembered it, either. He didn’t dare. He knew, and Zelda knew, and that was bad enough.)

The drills came back without much conscious thought. He’d done them since he was seven, and he could practically do them in his sleep. He was so focused, he didn’t notice anyone coming into the courtyard – didn’t think to stop, because he’d grown up a knight.

What idiot would step into his space?

His husband grabbed his wrist mid-swing and wrenched the sword from his hand.

“What are you thinking?” he snarled. “You said you were done with this!”

Link jerked back and punched him in the ribs, hard enough his husband let go, then spun and slapped him, open-handed across the face. Link staggered and saw his sword and only barely didn’t lunge for it. His heart was pounding in his chest and for a moment, all he could think of was the next sequence:

Seize the sword. Stay low, spin. Cut across the left side waist. Hemorrhage from the liver, or severe gut damage. He'd need a fairy or potion, or he’d be dead.

He swallowed, frozen, long enough the man grabbed his arm and pulled him around to face him again. “Talk to me. Tell me you won’t do that again. Look at you, you look ill!”

He felt ill. Link struggled to find his voice, and all he could manage was, “I’m sorry. You’re right. I wasn’t thinking. Please, don’t startle me like that. I could’ve hurt you.”

“I’m just looking out for you.”

He pulled Link into his arms, and Link melted there as he wished for the shakes to stop. He was right. If he hadn’t been playing with swords again, he never would’ve thought of killing him.

There's no planning or negotiation; there usually isn't, now. Not when it's quickly becoming a routine, an expected thing for Far to lay down and his partners join him for cuddles. Ordon is in the middle, protecting their dreams from unwanted visits.

Rabbit silently tucks himself into Ordon's arms, his face pressed to his boyfriend's chest. It isn't often that he lets Ordon hold him instead. He makes an impatient sound, and Ordon laughs softly.

"What is it, darling?" Ordon hums, like he doesn't know exactly what Rabbit wants. He relents before Rabbit can complain as such, though, running a hand through his boyfriend's hair that soothes him instantly.

Rabbit makes small, happy sounds as Ordon combs his hair with gentle fingers, melting as Ordon traces behind his ear. His boyfriend strokes his hair in time with his breaths as they slow, continuing even though Rabbit is already asleep.
