Team Skull VS King Dedede and his Waddle Dees

For the final round We have:

Team Skull the evil team from the Pokémon Sun and Moon games. They are a gang of kids unable to complete the island challenges and deemed failures, they eventually banded together and aim to destroy the people that look down on them. Their Leader is your boy Guzma a man who wanted to be a trial captain, but all trial captains must be under twenty and he aged out before he could qualify but he was still a strong trainer and was a trial captain in a way. We have Plumeria also a strong trainer that didn't seem to have luck in winning a lot of battles, she is like an older sister to all the members of Team Skull and will protect them.

VS

King Dedede and his Waddle Dees from the Kirby games. They are antagonists in the first Kirby game where they stole all the food from dreamland and continue to be in games afterwards. Waddle Dees are creatures that seem to respect and follow King Dedede to the point where they'd risk their lives even when not asked. A notable example is Bandana Waddle Dee who despite asking not to fight due to fear and being given permission to still fights despite everything. The self-proclaimed ruler of dream land has shown a good amount of care for his Waddle Dees, showing a lot of concern when they get captured and enjoying spending time with them

Skull grunt 2: W-we aren't harassing nobody! *Points to Amsonia* That's the trainer that's been messing with us!

Plumeria: Ha?*glares over at Amsonia and wals over* So you're the one that these numbskulls were talking about? I don't like beating down kids, but if you mess with my sibs, you- wait a minute.

Plumeria, bends down and squints: ....you..... You're Hau's friend! You are, aren't you?!

Amsonia, glaring: ....

Rotom Dex: What's it to ya?!

Plumeria: ...heh. Looks like you two got some bark. I like it. And I'll be taking that as a yes.

Plumeria, turning to the skull grunts: YOU NUMBSKULLS! You've been messing with a potential ally! Do you know how hard it is to get allies?! And even more than that, you've been messing with a little kid! *points to Amsonia* Go apologize. Now.

Skull grunt 1: B-but-

Plumeria: Now.

The Skull grunts look at each other, then shuffle up to Amsonia with their head low in shame.

Skull grunt 1: S-sorry for bothering ya

Skull grunt 2: Yeah,sorry little cousin. Big Sis please don't be mad at us anymore

Plumeria: ....*sighs* You two.....I know you're angry and want things to happen but you can't aimlessly bother people! Especially a little kid! We already got people on our backs, we don't need anymore.

Skull Grunt 1: We know.....

Skull Grunt 2: Sorry Sis....

Plumeria: It's okay. Just don't let it happen again, 'kay?

Skull grunt 1: Yes!

Skull grunt 2: Okay!

Plumeria: Hmph. That's what I like to hear. But you two are still in trouble for bothering this little girl for so long. You two are on cleaning duty for the week. Got it?!

Skull grunt 1 and 2: Yes ma'am!

Plumeria: Good! Now GET!

Skull grunt 1 and 2: Yes ma'am!!!!!

The two grunts run off, Plumeria watching them go.

Plumeria: I don't like being so hard on those two. They are my little numbskulls after all. Gotta look after them, you know? But sometimes you gotta know when to fall back, and I have to teach that lesson. *she shakes her head* Everyone has gotten more tense ever since Glads joined. So much infighting, such a bother.

Plumeria, turning back to Amsonia and Rotom: Ah, Plumeria you gone talking to yourself that you forgot these two cuties.

Rotom: C-cute?!

Plumeria: Yep! Not as cute as my little sibs though.

Rotom: Hey!

Plumeria smirks, shifting her attention to Amsonia. She notices how the girl flinches under her gaze, and her hand hovering over her PokeBall. Poor girl. She takes a mental note to really sit down and talk to those numbskulls when she gets back to the base.

Plumeria: Hey now, I'm not gonna bother ya. Just here to talk, 'kay?

Amsonia: .....

Plumeria:Hmm. Do you know sign language? Would that make you more comfortable? Or is talking with Rotom here better?

Amsonia hesitates, but slowly starts to sign: I can sign.

Rotom:But I'm helpful too!!!

Amsonia gives a small smile to her dex friend, nodding her head in reassurance. The rotom 'bzzt' happily. Cute.

Plumeria, speaking and signing: Great! I believe an introduction is in order.

Plumeria: The names Plumeria! I'm the Big Sis of Team Skull!....Or Admin,if you wanna be fancy.

Guzma w/ Stoic Male S/O!

First of all, no one has ANY clue how you two got together, it was like- A miracle!

At first, Guzma didn't like you very much. Something about your stoic behavior pissed him off and just made him assume you were like all those other people who thought they were better than everyone else

But actually, something ended up changing that. Something that's only between the two of you.

One day, Guzma stumbled upon you on one of the more hidden beaches. You were on a rock, sitting casually with... Wimpod??

Why were they not running from you? And how did you have so many around you?

"What is he doing..."

Guzma muttered to himself, squinting at you. You seemed to have a wimpod on your lap, and somethin' was goin' on...

So he made his way over, hands stuffed in his pockets. His presence, of course, scared off the small pokemon that surrounded you. Yet you still didn't look up.

"What're ya doin', jackass?"

Erm... He doesn't have the most family-friendly language, but anyways!

The wimpod on your lap started to freak out now that someone else was here, but you were quick to hold onto it.

Guzma couldn't help the way his heart stopped (in a positive way) as you quietly shushed the Wimpod and comforted it...

"Shhh..." It was a simple noise that calmed the creature down as you stroked its back, holding it close to you.

"It's injured." Was all you said once the Wimpod was calmed.

Since that day, he didn't really see you the same. And slowly but surely, he started letting you hang around his town, y'know?

When Guzma was teased about it by some Grunts, he was just

"Psh! As if I would warm up to that guy!"

And then suddenly you guys just?? Kissed?? In front of everyone

Well more like you casually walked up to Guzma, gave him a big ol' smooch, and acted like nothing happened

That's basically how everyone found out you two got together

And when you join Team Skull?!?!

Guzma can't see enough of his boyfriend in the uniform- He's fuckin' awooga mode when he sees you try it on for the first time

Immediately you're an admin, and he knows he can trust you

You're around him more than Plumeria is, and that's sayin' somethin'

You guys are literally like- Scary dog privileges for each other

If someone isn't intimidated by one of you, then they're intimidated by the other

You tend to walk behind Guzma, and I imagine Guzma to be a good 5'9-6'0, so you're... You're very tall

Something about seeing someone taller than him,,,, :flushed:

You always manage to get Guzma worked up, whether he's flustered or angered (in a lighthearted way), and then just stare at him with that damn expression

He knows you're doing it on purpose!! STop that!! Actually don't

Sometimes he'll catch you off guard though

A good ol' smack on the ass (only if you're comfortable with it) is somethin' he'll do sometimes (again, only consensual)

Or when he's frustrated enough, he'll grab your shirt and force you down to his height

The first time he did this... You almost fell over, but it got the both of you flustered because your faces got really close

Behind closed doors, though, he's like a puppy looking for affection

And seeing your expression soften when you two are alone... <3333

He's fuckin' in love with you, and he's always reminded when he's alone with you

PDA isn't something Guzma is too big on, he'll wrap an arm around your waist but only if you're comfy

Your stoic nature still frustrates him sometimes, but that's him getting over some o' that good ol' trauma

Also sometimes, when Guzma will tell you (not ask, tell you-) to kiss him

You'll go "No." without any fuckin' emotion

But at the same time you're leaning down and givin' him a kiss

Team Skull (Pokemon) VS the Gang (Always Sunny in Philidelphia)

in this corner we have that hated boss that beats you down, and beats you down, and doesn't let up... at least that's what he wants you to think, his grunts love their boss. There's also big sis Plumeria keeping all these numbskulls together, you mess with her little siblings and she'll get serious. These grunts banded together around Guzma after failing the island challenge and being outcasted from society.

and in this corner, we have what is described to be a close-knit group of friends like any other situation comedy but their all deplorable human beings.

If you’re looking for the origin of the team skull and kahuna related information, talking to the npcs in Tapu Village is your best bet. Particularly the trailer Plumeria hangs out in. The older lady in there is the one that gives that piece of dialogue. I also find it curious that it’s Plumeria actively warns you that mistreating or devaluing your Pokemon can bring a Tapu's wraith upon you. She mentions this in her dialogue in both games.

Okay! So I went back to Tapu village as you said and I found out I missed an npc!! This is what he said

This does clear up my question earlier! Just from this piece of dialogue, it seems to imply that the people connected to the megamart were aware of the shop being placed on sacred grounds. If the kahuna was in charge of megamart, someone who should have known better than to do such a thing, yeah Tapu Bulu is going to be pissed. I mean, regardless of the kahuna's involvement or not, the mark was going to be destroyed, but a kahuna being involved adds more layers to this than before.

I then looked at Plumeria's dialogue in both sm and usum

Pretty much meaning the same thing, but from what she says, it kinda seems she has experience first hand huh? Veeeeery interesting. Honestly I wasn't so sure about the theory of the old kahuna being the one to open the thrifty megamart, but with what y'all are showing me, I'm starting to go by it. Again. Really wish things were a bit more direct, or have more clues. Oh well.

Anyway, thank you for this! From the sound of it the story ( hypothetically) goes that the old kahuna of the island disregarded the sacred land of Tapu Bulu and built the thrifty megamart. Whether they thought they would get away due to their status as kahuna or that they didn't really think about it too hard. Why did team skull( well, pre-team skull members) gather around this kahuna? No clue. What was the kahuna's intent? Dunno. But from the sound of it, Plumeria ( and maybe Guzma) were involved with the original group and were a part of the survivors of Tapu Bulu's attack. The kahuna may or may not be dead( though that old lady did say that human lives are at the whim of capricious pokemon....)

This will be very interesting to incorporate into my au,so again, thanks for the guidance!

....okay, I'm just realizing, if this theory is actually true, the name Team Skull is kinda morbid when you think about it. Is this their way of remembering their fallen members and kahuna? To never forget the pain that was felt that day? Dunno. Again, I could be overthinking it.
