HI HEY I am bursting into your ask box like Cosmo Kramer busts through his neighbour's door. I'm working quite irregularly through my backlog atm and regret that it's taken this long to get asks to you BUT I submit for your kind consideration the following OC Interview Asks to pass on to Yara my beloved :D (also I send her (and naturally you as well!) an excited wave and like seven thousand cool rocks)

16. Describe your perfect day 21. Describe your ideal partner 31 (freebie)- Tell me about your ideal house. Would it be big? What kind of colours/styles/things would you keep in it?

*first time trying to write her speaking, so sorry if it’s clunky and took a long while! She can be kind of verbose sometimes, Also, small text is quiet mumbling to herself, and bold is louder/more rushed excited speech. Tak tak tak is equivalent to “yes yes” “so” or “well well well”. Yolki-Palki (fir trees-sticks) is a euphemism for “fucking hell”. Sbornaya solyanka (solyanka soup with everything on hand) is an equivalent of “hodgepodge”.

Yara lifts her arm halfway up, more akin to one lifting their hand to ask a question than a wave, and smiles at you. She seems to be hard at work fiddling with something rather small, all the while throwing uncertain ~~bashful~~ glances at the formidable pile of rocks. She takes a deep breath.

“It’s good to see you, Plant. Tea? I have a great fruit one right-“ she seems unsure of how to approach the gift, giving off a slight deer-in-the-headlights feeling, albeit a distinctly pleased one “O - for me? Thank you. I didn’t expect such an addition to my collection- oh, you should see it when it gets organized!” The latter part of the sentence is significantly louder and faster than the rest as she claps her hands together “I’ve acquired a lot of new specimens from my last trip to Orzammar, even got my hands on some very curious raw lyrium…” she gives you a conspiratorial but overly exaggerated wink. She might not be very good at winking “of course, it is not to come into contact with anything, but it’s fascinating..!”

16) “Ah! My perfect day? Tak tak tak.. “ she drums her fingers on the table introspectively before reaching for a journal and leaning back, the next words coming out in a mumble “That’s a lot to fit into 24 hours… or, are you talking daytime? 12 hours, then? A perfect day… perfection is a bit of a difficult concept… Well, Zev would need to be there, of course, and Mishka should come too, and it would need to be somewhere nice - no, that’s too cold, and that’s a bit crowded, and I don’t think they allow dogs after last time- I think the gardens near the central market would do fine, they got some new plants - some quite toxic too ! - and there is the duck family and some of the people who come there are really weird! (Is probably firmly cemented in the neighborhood as one of said people, but the irony is lost on her) Yes, I think he’d like that. That and the more interesting shops…oh, and the fruit tarts! No, Mishka, my perfect day doesn’t include you eating the ducks! You can always make your own list!” The Mabari peeks over her shoulder, and sighs dramatically. He doesn’t have opposable thumbs. “Alright, we can stop by for some treats and take a few toys…Plus, I think this alleyway is quite infamous for murders lately, so that’s always fun!! To solve I mean. Or commit. Both is good..” she grins to herself ……at this point, it looks like she’s building a schedule. There is a murder slot. It’s a pretty big one. Mishka seems pretty excited about it.

21) “Oh, I already have one! Elvhen, Antivan, about 165 centimetres…no, that doesn’t seem right, I mean… that’s not..” There is a period of silence as her face appears to take on a grim expression, offset only by its clear shift to a bright red hue as she glances towards the other room. “He’s perfect, but I’m not sure how to put it into words. I haven’t ever thought about that kind of thing… he’s … he’s fun, and smart, and skilled in a scary amount of things, and takes things lightly and in stride. and …he cares, y’know? I s’pose that’s what caught me off guard the first time.” She fiddles with the knife in her hands some more, contemplating her answer “His position was complete garbage, y’see, but he still tried to have the best time he could, and he was very… straightforward in some ways…. Kind, even. T’ be honest, I didn’t get that at all” she chuckles, desperate to hide her embarrassment “Especially towards me. Other people I can understand, admire, even, but he just… spoke his mind when it counted, consequences be damned, and made sure everything was alright, despite everything… I know the feeling, and the conditions, and it’s hard to care about anything , much less so others. I’m … unsure of whether that answers your question.” She now seems genuinely amused. “Yolki-palki, leave it to moi to fall for an assassin’s kindness of all things. He made such a funny face when I told him, too… in my defence, the ~seduction~ went right over my head the first time and he’s wonderful and really should’ve seen it coming..”

31) “I’d say the place is pretty big.. it’s got a solarium, and a library, and some Knick knacks we picked up on the road..” it is unclear if she means the move, the travelling, or their journey through Ferelden as the road, but by the looks of it, it is a bit of everything. Weaponry and gems, among other things, appear as exhibits visible almost everywhere throughout the house. A wide smile precedes her next words “ a garden, too, and we’ve even managed to start up something of a brewing business. Plenty of room for ingredients. Style wise, well, it’s a sbornaya solyanka to be sure. We haven’t changed too much” she shifts in her seat. While the place does appear to house quite a few out-of-place items seemingly either handmade or closer to the Renaissance styling, both older and newer, clearly added in rather recently, the home appears to have been designed in a pretty consistent Gothic styling. “- it was a gift from an … old benefactor.”

After adding a few finishing touches, Yara sets a whittled figurine of a serpent down on the table , sliding it towards you :)

this is probably a common question but roughly what is your approach to anatomy? i’m into biology in itself so that + nude figure studies have been so so helpful but your lines are so effortless and confident and stylized while still carrying so much raw human weight. that is especially why i love your 18+ stuff because it feels tasteful and real and not just gooner slop 😭. you have a very very good understanding of how fat and muscle sit on the body and i’m impressed thoroughly

😢 thank you so much! my go-to for learning anatomy was live drawing! not classes though but just watching people in motion and drawing like that. I still have a habit of staring so much at people when I'm outside mostly bc im thinking about drawing the shapes I'm seeing that I have to catch myself to not weird someone out LOL

after having a good enough grasp on anatomy then it was learning what to exaggerate and how I wanted to do it! many of my favorite artists who I dutifully copied as I learned how to draw are all animators so I picked up a lot of quirks from that despite not animating myself lol bowed legs and such

and LOL I'm grateful I'm above goon sloop..I think its impossible to come away from live drawing without appreciation for all kinds of bodies! and all the less flattering angles of them. I think its what adds a lot of charm and warmth to erotic scenes :-)

hi! I always get super excited about fandom OCs, so it's been such a treat to hear about Tzafael! I worked a little on a design for them (lmk if you're ok with me posting it) but a lot of questions came up:

this is gonna sound really vague, but what's their vibe? I'm getting "pretends to be a gentleman but will ABSOLUTELY fish for compliments and randomly fuck with people cause of the power play" but I could be totally off. does he ever snap at people/hurt them if they're not polite? are they super condescending like some of the other angels or is he more like adam and kind of,,, uhh openly a dick? or are they more of a crowley type (kind of gooey inside and mostly left heaven because it was too bureaucratic and constricting)? do they burst into hell buildings and just incite chaos? again I know this is super vague but like ,,, basically I need a dialogue snippet to know what they're like lol

what's their accent? do they have special vocal quirks/tics? special catchphrases or words they use a lot?

do they have any real friends in hell (not just contracts)? do they miss anyone from heaven?

did they like being an exorcist?

hobbies?

what are the implications of the magpie/eyeball motifs? do they have a transcendent sense of sight? are they overstimulated or even haunted by the fact that they have to see so much all the time? do they have any bird habits (preening is a must lol but anything else?)? do they have a nictitating membrane and freak people out by blinking sideways with all of their eyes?

is their magpie form like a really scary demon form or are they just like. a normal bird. (that's way funnier imo)

I'm sorry but,,, I'm such a sucker for angst. where's his soft spot? how does he react to having it poked? does he lash out like a panicked animal or break down and try to hide?

do they have sharp teeth? I've seen that in other art of them but since they're not technically fallen I'm thinking of just doing fangs

how would he react to seeing a child (is he good with children? does he terrify/terrorize them?)?

what does "very good grip strength" imply???

whew, sorry for that monster of an ask! you said you liked talking about them so I just vomited everything that came to mind while I was drawing him, but definitely don't answer anything you don't find interesting!

Long post incoming!!

Their vibe: They are still an angel, and subscribe to morals that involve seeing themselves as a relatively good person - kind of like Lucifer's sense of superiority over sinners! So they are polite and friendly in a way that sometimes makes it evident that they know they can afford to be because they're above most of the people around them. They won't overtly fish for compliments, but that's why stroking their ego is so effective: they won't ask for it, but it's their most major vice. It's like petting a purring tiger. They enjoy when their presence is shocking, so they will absolutely walk casually into places where they know anyone able to identify them will freak out, and they'll visibly find the results amusing, but they won't outright admit to doing it on purpose. When they actually get into conflict with people, they like to look like they're being the bigger man about it, but they're honestly biting at the bit for a reason to go casually nuclear on someone who looks like they deserve it.

Speech patterns: Tangible but not over-the-top valley girl accent. They think it's fucking hilarious. Mildly prone to nefarious laughter, though it's generally because they're genuinely amused.

Friendships: Their concept of friendship is a little bit detachedly celestial. They definitely have friends in every ring, but they're bad about accidentally not visiting for long periods of time and they're prone to feeling like nobody in hell can genuinely understand them. They make contracts with relative ease with people they are friendly with specifically because they like feeling like the person people come to for powerful assistance. They'd probably do best seeing if they can befriend any of the seven sins, to minimize the baseline imbalance of power level and lifespan, but it just feels awkward when they all know Lucifer. The unassuming, baseline comraderie is the main thing they miss about heaven.

On exorcism: They fucking loved the power trip of being an exorcist. Too much. That's why they stayed in hell in the first place. And then they thought about it too damn long and got to know the locals, and now it's just fucking awkward to go around killing indiscriminately. Knowing too much really took the fun out of it! They used to join in on the exorcisms when they came around again, but not anymore.

Hobbies: They keep fish! They like setting up self-maintaining freshwater aquariums of various sorts, and particularly enjoy feeling like they've captured a genuine slice of nature in a fish tank. They visited Vox's shark tanks once and thought they were boring as hell because the sharks are mechanical and he doesn't have any live flora. They also enjoy being a huge gossipy bitch, which is arguably like 90% of what they actually use their powers for.

Powerset: While Lucifer has the power of Creation, Tzafael has the power of Sight. They see a great many things, and they see those things As They Are. So, basically: localized omniscience. They can't read minds, but they can tell if some is lying to them, and they can also see everything within a certain vicinity (depending on how hard they're pushing it), including through walls. This isn't weird or overwhelming to them: it's how they were designed to exist! If anything, losing that would make them feel blind. They also have a very small amount of foresight, which is mostly useful for being hard to hit in a fight and also being obnoxious by unintentionally interrupting people's sentences. This does not help them come off as less condescending.

Leaving heaven: Seeing the truth of things as they are, and seeing everything around makes the facade of heaven frustrating and tedious to swallow. They prefer hell because it feels more honest!

Bird traits: Absolutely hell yes to the nictitating membranes on every single eyeball, which also doubles as protection against any eyeball stabbing! They preen, they adore shiny shit, they love to gab and gossip, and while they are mostly a magpie, any bird seraph is going to be a bird of prey in some way or another, so it is as difficult to break their grip as it would be that of a raptor of similar size. I think it's implied that all heavenly and some demonic beings have various stages of their true forms, so their humanoid birdform is a similar style to what we see from Sera in the first few seconds of meeting her, and their true form is closer to what we see of Stolas at the end of Truth Seekers in Helluva Boss, except with about a billion more looming eyeballs. As for their most humanoid form's teeth: I figured they'd stayed in hell long enough for their teeth to go sharp like Lucifer's, but I am also super down for fangs if you have a design you're playing with!

Children: Ehhh...kinda cute, when they're not Tzafael's responsibility. Frequently funny in small doses or from a distance. Delightfully honest or else delightfully poor liars. Often just not their bag, though, especially if they kids are spoiled or self-absorbed (sorry, what was that? "Hypocrite"? Must have misheard.)

ANGST: They are a social animal and they miss their flock! They keep mooning about potentially reconnecting with Lucifer because they fucking miss heaven, except heaven doesn't feel like it did when they were a kid, so it doesn't feel like home. Any small inconveniences, they feel free to whine about with deliberately humorous dramatics, but when they feel genuinely hurt, they withdraw, hide in their nest, and keep it to themselves as best as they can. It hurts the ego to admit that kind of weakness when they're supposed to be a fucking seraph, especially when they feel alone and without equals in their place in the world. But even though heaven turned out to be a damn lie, they miss family. On a more minor note, they're also a poor sport about being genuinely made fun of in bad faith.

🎭 Performance/Acting - I’d give her a solid 4. The funny thing is that while Yara can’t lie for shit and isn’t particularly good at, well, *acting*, she does have an almost uncanny ability to mimic voices and accents. The negative to this is that sometimes she does so unintentionally. Another unexpected bonus comes from her just… not being particularly easy to read if you don’t know her, so it’s equally confusing to tell if she’s lying or telling the truth most times.

Also, she does sing, but idk if it goes here.

🍺 Alcohol tolerance - so…. That’s like a 9. While Yara doesn’t *like* drinking (she’s seen a few too many comrades go down from poisoning and diminished coordination), living with a bandit group from a young age did end up giving her quite the tolerance.

…….what I’m saying is she would try to outdrink Oghren at least once😅

👊Fighting - I think at some point in time I’d give her fighting a 9 or a 10, given that she’d fought Darkspawn, animals, and other humans for a living, but after her trauma I’d give her an 8, with some days being 5s or even 4s. She’s still a great fighter, both physically and with her magic, but her stamina had gone down significantly, so she’s most effective with very short range opponents.

As for the 4 and 5 days, she would try her darnedest to not let anyone know. Ever. I think it would take a while until someone saw her slip up.
