Honestly, I prefer one-shots because I don't have enough will power to finish a multi-chapter once I've started it.

Of course ideally I'd say I write for myself and that it doesn't affect me, but I'm such a review whore honestly. They feed my soul. They touch a part of me that nothing else does. The motivation I get from a single comment is insane.

I love to browse other art, like fan videos, edits, read fics, and of course rewatch the episodes/scenes. I always get some other take on something when I rewatch a scene. Like for example, yesterday I watched a scene where Tim and Angela talk about him kissing Lucy and I had the whole idea of Tim coming to talk to Angela after he lets her go in 4x02 and now I kinda want to write it.

YES I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO MENTION THIS

I can’t really talk about this moment without briefly talking about Vi’s coping mechanisms as well - and since alcohol usually is part of someone’s way to cope, especially in the context in which she drank.

We’ve never seen her drink any alcohol post-timeskip, and definitely not pre-timeskip. She must have been desensitized to it while she was under the care of Vander, a bar owner. It makes sense that she would drink alcohol given her upbringing.

Was that her first time getting a sip of alcohol? I doubt it, but there’s no evidence to refute it either.

Considering how she spent several years in prison, it’s unlikely that drinking was part of her coping mechanisms. I’m not sure how Stillwater functions internally, but if it’s anything like modern American prisons, then alcohol is strictly prohibited and you’d have to be quite creative to make what they call “toilet wine” (or a concoction made of old fruit, sugar and water that you add yeast to and let sit for a few days... yum). I know she could have gotten a hold of some alcohol regardless, but we haven’t seen it. As far as we know, she wasn’t drinking. 

So what made her drink there?

Her motivation for the two fights is the same: getting revenge on Silco for what he’s done through beating his number two, who also betrayed her family.

When Vi witnesses the aftermath of Vander’s death and how it allowed Silco to take over, she is seen clenching her fists and putting on a tough façade, mostly so Caitlyn doesn’t see Vi’s vulnerable side (*shoves her* “you don’t know anything”). We don’t see Vi crack during her conversation with Babette, but she continues to clench her fists out of anger and denial. 

Vi tells her: "By the looks of it, no one down here lifted a finger to stop Silco". No one stopped Silco. She spent years in prison beating up his goons and no one on the other side did anything to stop him. She's upset at this point, so when Babette says there's a way to reach Silco's number two, she sees it as her first opportunity for revenge.

Vi could stomach Silco's reign over Zaun because she probably expected it, but she loses it when Sevika reveals her little sister works for him. That clearly wasn’t something she ever considered before. She loosens her grip on Sevika and in a second of weakness, she gets stabbed. Her moment of vulnerability is what makes her lose a fight that she was about to win, just because she lets her guard down.

Her second fight with Sevika is a little different. 

She found Powder, except now she knows what happened to her. She left Caitlyn behind - Caitlyn who saved her during her first fight with Sevika - so she’s all alone with no one to look out for her. This time, she’s come prepared with the Atlas gauntlets. On paper, she’s ready to take down Silco. She knows how to get to him and she knows it’s possible.

Emotionally, she’s not ready at all. Going into a fight in a blind rage isn’t healthy nor efficient, but that’s how Vi thinks she can beat her. There’s nothing Sevika could say that would get under her skin, so her own head is the only thing preventing her from winning. 

Vi turns to alcohol because the only way to beat Sevika is by letting her rage consume her and thrive - by being emotionally numb. In fact, we see her hyping herself up, feeling the anger as much as possible. It works... until it’s not enough and she gets knocked down. 

Vi hears Vander’s voice saying her guard needs working. Remember this isn’t actually Vander - it’s Vi conjuring him and making him say what she needs to hear in the moment to keep going. It’s highly emotional. 

She still needs you. They all do.

The emotions that she kept trying to drown through denial, or alcohol, came back and saved her this time, instead of getting her stabbed. It gave her strength. Her moment of vulnerability here is what makes her win a fight that she was about to lose. She didn’t let her guard down this time - she used Ekko’s comment about her still blocking with her face, along with Vander’s critique of her guard (which is more of her own observation, I assume), and she stood back up.

I doubt we’ll ever see Vi drinking again. I think we all know how much of an emotional wreck Vi is going to be next season based on the s2 teaser and the events of the finale, so I genuinely think Vi’s last fight with Sevika was her last successful attempt at avoiding her trauma through pointless fights. The alcohol acted as a last-ditch effort to continue living in denial - running on pure anger and a desire for revenge. 

I think that’ll be the opposite of Vi in season two. We’re about to see what she does when she’s actually forced to face how terrible everything is, and when she no longer has a scapegoat for all of her problems. I’m expecting different coping mechanisms, perhaps. Denial, especially in the form of protecting Caitlyn and focusing on her wellbeing above all else. 

I’m not expecting more alcohol consumption.

Unsolicited scholarship advice incoming, and I don't know you or if you've done this yet, but I would highly recommend looking into as many local scholarships as possible! I did like 20-ish local (city- and countywide) scholarships in my senior year and won almost half of them just because the odds are much higher, even if the prizes are often smaller.

Even if they're for a niche you're not a part of, I'd still recommend it; I won a $1,500 sewing scholarship (not in my city, but a nearby city) because I was one of the only entrants, and I can write decently emotive essays. I do NOT, however, know how to sew. LMAO. I even received a consolation prize of $100 for another scholarship I didn't win, only because there were so few entrants.

Bug the SHIT out of your guidance counselor. Have them reach out to local organizations related to your interests/field of study, or do it yourself. Scour Facebook pages of local churches, nonprofits, etc. Get that bag. B) Good luck!

And when he released a product only for the next day for it to get a bit over shadowed by yours he loses it. He immediately thinks your doing this on purpose, he thinks your doing this as a means to get his attention.

Will never admit it but he bought one just to break it outta rage but after a bit he understood the hype, will take this to his second death bed.

He’s never had a good look at you before maybe a small invention or gala for some of the highest company owners in hell. And let me tell you when this man saw you he was shocked, it took velvet to snap her fingers for him to get out of his trans-like-state. He’s more embarrassed then he’s ever been, not only are your products prove to be a good runner up to his but you were making min lose his breath.

He didn’t wanna believe at first before velvet confirmed it to him.

And may i say, the minute you glanced at him and gave him a charming smile while waving your hand at him with a small glint of pride in your eyes, he actually had a system crashed screen as his whole system rebooted.

He didn’t understand even though he knew your intent, and the underlying nature in your interaction. He still found it charming, and shocking at you technical level and marking tactics. He isn’t happily impressed, but he is definitely impressed, he would never show that though of course.

It always seemed no matter how much of a short time between releases you always managed to make it better he just didn’t understand how!. How did you have such short time to perfect something that he’s been working at for months!

He soon realizes out shinning you or squashing you business wasn’t gonna work. You guys were too evenly matched, it would be through pure luck that one of you would out shine the other one day and not the next. So he did the best next thing, purposed a business deal (quite reluctantly might I add)

To just merge company’s he knew your rise wouldn’t falter anytime soon.

At first you felt like this was a trick, to steal your soul or take you out while your walls were down. But he quickly explained it’d be easier to just have you work on things and share the profit (surprise, surprise)

Now you can decide weather you accept or not!

But after that meeting he would call you over for many more strictly for business meetings! Definitely not just desperate to spend time with you or anything

Even when you proposed to just, email, or text, he still declined saying he found it easier to say what he needed out loud. Definitely…. (≖ᴗ≖✿)

Sooner or later you’d catch on, or some people on the news would gossip of your “secret affairs”

You would soon confront him about this, and let me tell you this man is decent at standing under pressure in some if not most situations expect this one.

He just hates it, he hates your stupid smile, the way you make his stomach do back flips, the small glint of happiness and pride when your product is loved and bought by the millions.
