The fact you don't have 'a thing' to read (comic, graphic novel, webtoon) but still manage to be very compelling and make others just.. feel things, when seeing your art, is very inspiring! It has made me reconsider what makes a narrative way of telling things 'valid' or 'complete', because while there's not a story being told in a traditional way, the investment is real. The entertainment is real. The artisty is! So, how important is the difference between a 'story' and what you offer when the heart receives it the same? What I'm saying is, if you made a comic or similar, I'd LOVE that, but the idea of an artbook where the reader is meant to piece it together themselves is fascinating and it activates my little artist brain~

thinking again about the controversy about AI deepfakes and how that can easily create misinformation, and on some level, i feel like that's approaching the problem from the wrong direction. as xkcd said, we've had "text deepfakes" for thousands of years.

just. my last reblog was a gif of a dog digging a hole on the moon. it's very realistic; while i'm sure some sort of expert could "debunk" it, I, the layperson, can't see any obvious flaws in it. but i know it's fake, because i know the fact that dogs cannot dig holes on the moon. i don't *need* to have the technical know-how to spot the seams, i just need to be reasonably educated in the subject to know what is and isn't true.

and i know, i know, it's more complicated than that, obviously people can't be expected to be educated in every single topic that happens to come to their attention, but i still think the obvious solution has more to do with having clear, easily accessible information than being able to spot the "tells" of ai, which are likely to be ever changing as the technology evolves.

so i was with a friend earlier and he got excited about something to the point of stimming by flapping their arms, and i complimented that because i'm insecure about some of my stims (we're both autistic) and he was curious about what i do, so i flapped my arms too because i love to but i stopped quickly because of insecurity and past ableism i've faced, and they smiled at me and ended up telling me that just because i'm used to negative reactions whenever i show my autistic traits doesn't mean i can't start accepting positive reactions, and i wanted to tear up (positively) after hearing this

OCD will literally remove your brain's ability to register when a task is Complete and then create 10,000 incredibly ridiculous and extremely specific rules for you to follow in every single aspect of your life (to keep you safe, of course, it tells you.) and then tells you that if you don’t do them Correctly and Completely every single time it tells you to (it tells you countless times per day) then the Entire Fucking World Will End and then it’ll do this fucked up thing where it makes you believe that nonsense.

I'm the intestine magnets guy, when I was 12 or so I swallowed like 14 bucky balls in a separate Period of time so they Pulled eachother in different parts of my intestines, squishing them together. Almost fucking died because those mfs wanted to Meet so badly they bore holes in my guts. Many did this before, I just lived to tell the tale. I had to stay in hospital for 2 weeks and literally re-learn to walk, I couldn't turn in bed for the first 3 days. I have 4 scars, three on my pelvic area (left middle right) and One large one just under My belly button. Honestly If any of y'all knew me more I'd expect a "oh yeah he does that" because I'm so fucked up I ate multiple pencils whole, The graphite AND the wood, Plus I'm allergic to everything (including water) so Ending up in the hospital is just a given with my odds. , I'd do this again tho. I got a Abscess two years after and needed surgery for that too except the Painkillers fucked up and I felt all 5 minutes of them cutting me open to put a Little drain in.

you joke but thats LITERALLY his entire thought process at first. he's so isolated and arrogant that he couldnt possibly comprehend the idea that luz wouldnt see him as her father despite the fact he literally told hunter he was going to be her older brother and never once encouraged hunter to see him as anything but an uncle.

i attribute this to the fact that philip is an orphan who only ever knew his blood brother as his only caretaker, so he sorta took having a brother for granted and didn't realize that was something you could want rather than something that just Is.

(also caleb was the only person philip ever truly knew + loved and even well into his 300s he never once picked up a child psychology book and realized that Perhaps His Worldview Was Skewed Because Of That.)

he literally like. could not comprehend the idea that you could even choose your own family outside of like. being adopted by someone. thats the other thing with him being so annoyingly christian in this AU, he was taught that your blood family (esp yr parents) is always the most important thing in your life & you should always be grateful to them no matter what.

(this is another factor into why he keeps making grimwalkers. in his own twisted viewpoint, it's him giving caleb another chance. and another. and another-- at least in this specific characterization of him.)

philip thought that him adopting luz would mean she would immediately be eternally grateful to him and call him father and the whole nine yards. but he forget to actually express that expectation until it was too late (aka until he heard her call him uncle for the first time)

honestly, hes not MAD about it. he's just sorta :( about it bcus hes not actually insane and can still logically think like "she did say she had just lost her real father to an illness its perfectly reasonable for her to not want to replace him" (he doesnt think it outloud but he also enjoys living thru her vicariously

I've had a realization after reading a post on twitter why I can watch Bad's entire streams without break, yet can't with others.

It's because he makes it accessible for everyone! He's not overly loud and is rarely around people being extremely loud unless necessary (when the Brazilians were added to the qsmp, god the stream up to where Bad, Jaiden and Slime went to look for the eggs hurt me from how loud everyone else was), he doesn't make jokes that make me uncomfortable as he's family friendly (s3x jokes, dck jokes, swearing every other sentence that sort of thing make me uncomfortable. Nothing against the people who do but it makes me extremely uncomfortable so I can't watch then), if there's something he knows could cause people problems he'll warn people multiple times before it happens to make sure, with QSMP he makes sure everyone watching can understand what he's saying and so much more!

I tend to have severe auditory issues where any loud noise can upset me or make my head hurt so watching someone who's rarely unexpectedly loud and has a calm voice lets me watch comfortably.

His chat is just as good too! I usually don't like to make comments or send messages on things but I've been able to without worry during his streams! The QSMP stream where Foolish, Roier and Max met up with Bad when looking for alarms made my head hurt as the other 3 were so loud. I mentioned it in chat as others were talking about it and people tried to help (I already had my volume right down and they were still too loud for me to handle) and Bad even turned down their volume in game to try help! He'd wonder off from the group at times when they were being really loud too.

It just makes me really happy I can watch his streams without having to worry about feeling uncomfortable because of things he says, jokes he makes or getting overwhelmed by the amount of noise being made.
