Brain tired, but I just wanted to bring that up

My god okay can you just imagine,,,,, and like suspend any disbelief or misinformation regarding Fontaine's government and like hierarchy and all that technical shit for a bit because I haven't played the archon quest yet but,,,,, Okay lets think abt a situation where Wriothesley has just newly appointed as the Administrator of the Fortress of Meropide, right. You, meanwhile, come from a family that is wealthy, influential and on the upper echelons of society.

You're in line to be the heir of your family and to inherit everything that is rightfully yours when, at the last minute, some of your relatives, in an attempt to take your seat as the head of the family for their own kids, argue that you are unqualified to represent as the head of the household when you are still unmarried, and you don't have a second set of hands helping you. A bullshit reason, really, but with enough honeyed words to the rest of the family and some taunts in your direction, you're eventually given an ultimatum: get married by the end of the month or give up your inheritance.

And goddamit you can't go down without a fight. Not when you know that your cousins who are competing with you would run your family into the ground and would use the wealth for corruption and a whole lot of bad shit. Even if the romantic in you, who had one day hoped to marry someone you love and who loved you back, is quietly disappointed at having to marry just for the sake of doing so. So you talk to your friends about your worries, they talk to their friends, and eventually word even manages to reach Wriothesley in the fortress at the bottom of the ocean.

He comes to meet you and propose an idea: you both have a marriage of convenience where you make use of his title and influence to establish dominance in your household and show that you're not here to fuck around, while he makes use of your connections, quick wit, and your skills in pulling society's strings to help him achieve his own goals: to give the convicts of Meropide the tranquility to live their lives unbothered.

so you get married, you become the head of your family, and Wriothesley heads back to the fortress, just now with a simple ring on his finger and your promise that you will do whatever you can to make sure trouble doesn't come his way.

You're busy with solidifying your position as the head of the family now–– managing all the businesses and finances that are placed on your desk. Some time passes without much correspondence from Wriothesley, though. You tell the rest of your family that he's merely busy with his own duties, but on a particularly slow day, you take the time to come see him down at the Fortress of Meropide for an impromptu visit. Just because your family is growing suspicious of you two, of course. Not... not at all because you're worried about him!

So you go down there and Wriothesley is understandable surprised by your visit. So you explain the situation to him and he agrees to let you come visit every now and then.

("Just as long as I can return the favor and visit you if I'm ever in the city," he says, with the slightest of smiles that makes something warm and gooey and sweet flood your veins.

"You're always welcome in my house, husband," you say, then have to stifle a small laugh when he turns away quickly– but not quick enough that you don't catch the light blush that graces his face.)

SO yeah;;;;; Wriothesley and a reader who by all means married for convenience on both of their ends, but whose personalities mesh well together and who banter so well that after a while, when they get to know each other and make time for each other, their light flirting goes to full blown flirting, and the marriage of convenience turns into the sweet romanic marriage that you've always wanted <3

can I share something that might be an unpopular opinion? is this a safe space?

so obvs The Lawsuit™️ gets talked about all the time. and while I understand Buck’s thinking… do I necessarily agree a whole lawsuit was the way to go? depends on the day. but! what I wanna know that I don’t see a ton of discourse about, is do we think Buck forgave Bobby too quickly with the treatment he gave post-lawsuit (and the treatment that led to the lawsuit in the first place tbh)?

the whole reason the lawsuit happened is because of what Buck essentially considered as Bobby’s betrayal. we know about the Divorce Era with Eddie that happened BECAUSE OF the lawsuit, we know Hen was the only one to properly welcome Buck back with a cupcake and not really hold the lawsuit against him, but we also know Bobby was still kind of a d!ck and influenced the behaviors of the rest of the 118 after the lawsuit.

we really just see Buck at the hospital after getting checked out because he cut his arm saving those people on Halloween, and Bobby showing up and being like, ‘hm, maybe you are ready to come back’ and Buck is like ‘wanna get breakfast’ 🤨

am I the only one that kind of wishes Buck like. acknowledged Bobby’s behavior? like I get he was just so grateful to have it all over, to be back to properly working etc. but NOTHING?! I mean maybe he felt so bad about the lawsuit he didn’t care? Idk someone talk this out with me

I had an Isaac run where it was so stressful my heartrate was at a 145bpm and it persisted for 6 hours. After that, like every day that followed, my heart would just suddenly shoot up to 120-140bpm for an hour if I so much as thought about something I've been stressing over recently. Everybody encouraging me to go to the ER. And I'm just like "Oh please I've actually always been like this, I'm fine." Had to chop down my Adderall dosage. But I swear I've felt like this since high school, but I guess the medicine enhances the feeling and that feeling was ANXIETY.

So, suffice to say, playing The Binding of Isaac™️ almost gave me a heart attack.

#and its not the adderall thats just inducing the heartrate #cause i only got prescribed adderall this year #dad got diagnosed with afib when i was still in school. he rushed himself to the hospital with mom while i was taking a test #i was like what the heck where did you guys go and mom said oh dad was having a heart attack or something and we didnt want to bother you #like WOULDNT YOU TELL YOUR CHILD OH MAYBE YOU WONT SEE YOUR FATHER AFTER WE GO TO THE HOSPITAL BUT FINISH YOUR EXAM BABY #that was like 2020 and we have a couple of those oxygen readers for your fingers and it measures your heartbeat #i out one on for fun im just sitting there at the dinner table and my heartrate was at 120 #like i didnt do anything we been stuck at home because pandemic and we just having a nice dinner #and my heartbeat was just thats my resting heartrate. they told me to try the blood pressure thing #average blood pressure but truly my heartbeat was just vibing at 120. mis padres were like oh no maybe you have afib too #babes youre too young to have that. and i jsut said oh is that what it means when im nauseous and have to lie down #i havent been diagnosed with anything. i suspect is tachycardia but no official thing #although i havent seen a cardiologist. what if we pay to get a screening and its nothing #i dont want to go thru all that and let it be nothing. lets wait until its a real problem #when my brother and his family visited just like what two weeks ago he was like #he was sitting on moms exercise bike and said it reads your heartrate #and it did you put your hands on the handle and it reads yer pulse #i told him like oooh let me try. hey brother my resting heartrate is 120 a lot. and hes like. what. get on this thing #and i get off the couch literally resting and lay my hands on the handles #and we see it go up. from 80 to 90 to 100 to 110 to 120 and hes a nurse and my moms a nurse and he says go upstairs and rest #dont hang out here with the kids. and im like ha i already told mom #he said sit there for ten minutes dont do anythingg and were trying again #he got mom to call our doctor and my doctor said to stop taking the adderall which is NOT IDEAL theres worse repurcussions to stop cold #so i cut mine in half. cause i had a dosage of 20mg and i almost fainted at work. we died the dosage down to 15 #but after all that i cut my 15 down to 7.5 cause hey i cant stop cold but i can ween myself #brother said i shouldnt be taking adderall if im not doing anything that requires focus. but im like i need focus to live man #look at how much ive been drawing...i mean its only in like hour long intervals but its productive #so theres that. i can feel my heartrate already up but i guess its just a thing with me...anywho #doodles #the binding of isaac

I don't doubt that being a hitman pays well, but the idea that they've not been working for almost 3 months, and are only just now coming to the conclusion that they need to get back to work?

Full on dumbass behavior.

Why did they even put baby girl in preschool if they weren't going to go back to work immediately after?? Part of the reason she was so destructive is cause they didn't have toys or anything for her, they could've just gone to the store lmao.

Also they're more frugal than I figured they would be considering that bomb ass apartment. As far as I can tell they spent roughly $1000 in 1 month. That's not that bad, I mean, it's not a good trend if they'd continued to not work, but not that bad in terms of overall sustainability for a child and 2 working parents.

#fave spotting #donald sutherland #the saint #escape route #1966 #classic tv #itc #followers of my faves spotted will know‚ as I've rambled about it in tags before‚ that prior to becoming a big screen legend Don spent #a couple of years in the uk as part of the rentayank crowd‚ making a couple of horror films and filling guest spots on genre tv #he'd already done a Saint (3.23 The Happy Suicide) which can be found if you follow my tag #mostly his uk tv roles were of one kind: creepy villains (or occasionally as in his prior Saint ep‚ a creepy red herring)#so this was honestly a delightful surprise; finally someone GOT Donald Sutherland‚ and he gets to play the kind of part #he'd be doing in cinemas in the following decade. he's fun! he's kooky! he's a bank robber‚ sure‚ but he's also just hugely #endearing. and that isn't just me‚ you feel like the script likes him too. damn it you feel like Simon himself wants him to get away by the #end (he bids him good luck with what seems like real sincerity)#hard to express just how adorable this hardened criminal is. in his first appearance he starts a fistfight in prison with Simon and as soon #as Simon gets carted off to solitary he's immediately like 'aww it wasn't his fault‚ i was the one being a dick'#he calls everyone baby‚ including the Saint‚ including numerous middle aged men #i mean SPOILER for the episode incoming but the escape route is so successful and nobody is ever found bc the bad guys are #murdering their clients (i guessed as much and was truly sad when Don got on the boat to get out of the country) which leads to an amazing #scene where Don's like 'Hey baby‚ where's the second boat to pick me up?' and when the gruff villain pulls a gun out he just says #'....baby?' as his final words. amazing. 10 out of 10 no notes performance

one thing I keep doing that I really need to stop doing is exiting a game while in an area or quest that I'm not enthusiastic about. I would love to finish my 384th Pillars of Eternity playthrough but there are so many quests that I'm bored of at this point (tends to happen when you've played a game too many times) and of course I'm currently in the middle of one of those (Raedric's Keep) so I keep playing other things instead

tbh I don't think I wanted to replay PoE as much as I wanted to expunge my memory of PoE and then replay it
