Hey friendo, hope you’re doing good lately 🤠 I removed the mobile off my phone for storage-saving purposes so I can’t see my dms rn lol I was thinking.. would Spencer understand the humour/memes of today?? If he does, would he find it funny?? What memes would he like? Heaven’s sense of humour is like that. Gen Z humour and all. I once had a bf who was born in 1987 and he didn’t understand my sense of humour 😅😂
Hey hey there! I have been okay, though I am not thriving in the humidity, it's been so gross lately. I hope you're well though! How are things?
But omg Spencer understanding more of the Gen Z humor is not going to be his thing, he has the internet but doesn't really use it for 'entertainment' purposes like we do. He'd look up the basic YouTube video on how to properly fillet a fish, skin a buck, hunting things. Maybe he'd click on some music stuff, you know, build his playlists just right. Hell, he'd even rent some movies to watch in his spare time, but the humor goes right over his head.
He's the type to laugh because it seems polite to do, you were laughing at what you showed him, so he has to do the same...right?
Hell, even I get Gen Z humor, my brother has that humor and I just adapted it even though I'm older, and we get along well enough. SO I feel if you show him more things that make you laugh, he'd try his best to understand and would still laugh with you. It's the thought that counts😂

I am really excited to share the first single off of my upcoming full-length LP and film for Kill Rock Stars, each titled SOFTCORE. Find me at the intersection of masculinity and femininity, of hard and soft.
This first song — out today — is the album opener, and it’s a cover of an old Bill Callahan SMOG jam, To Be Of Use. This track is one of my all-time favorites from my youth and, for me, it has always been about wanting to feel useful in a relationship, and in the world.
Stream the single: https://pocp.co/to-be-of-use
Watch the first scene from the SOFTCORE film: https://youtu.be/9z4NY_u5BJ0
SOFTCORE is out June 7th on Kill Rock Stars. Pre-order now on vinyl, CD, or digital.

#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST UPDATE#
#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST TV#
#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST FREE#
Not to mention, I notice that this technology will require one’s firearm to be connected to an app via internet and/or Bluetooth.
#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST FREE#
It doesn’t matter how good the technology gets: this is a choice free citizens should make for themselves, and its non-negotiable. But be compelled to buy either that or nothing? No way. If someone WANTS a so-called smart gun, by all means they should feel free to get one. That image speaks a thousand words for which gun the range officer trusts with his life. Instead, he packed a full-size conventional GLOCK with a +2 magazine extension. The range officer didn’t have one of the LodeStar Works pistols on his hip. But in the video, it’s hard to miss the pistol the range officer chooses as his personal defensive sidearm. LodeStar Works didn’t say which “law enforcement agents” were conducting the testing, or at least that didn’t make it into the Reuters story. And a Kansas company, SmartGunz LLC, says law enforcement agents are beta testing its product, a similar but simpler model. Trotta wrote - in the second paragraph of the story - how law enforcement “agents” are beta-testing LodeStar’s gun.įour-year-old LodeStar Works on Friday unveiled its 9mm smart handgun for shareholders and investors in Boise, Idaho. He has a big ol’ half-rusty butcher knife in his hand, ready to plunge it into someone you care about. Imagine that’s you holding that LodeStar Works gun when you’re facing down a bad guy who’d just broken into your home. Clearly, in this instance, LodeStar (didn’t) Works. It had become a dead trigger after a single shot. Then the RO presses the trigger again and…nothing. In the Christie Ileto video from 6ABC, the range officer says he’s going to fire two rounds. Once unlocked, the smart gun is operable. It shows the LodeStar not-so-smart gun can’t even fire two rounds back-to-back.ĭuring a demonstration to share holders last week, the operator clicks the key pad on the side of the 9mm smart gun.
#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST TV#
Here’s another recording that is embeddable from a local TV reporter. After all, the mainstream media are big cheerleaders for the pro-gun control narrative. Or maybe Reuters used some creative editing in their video (not embeddable) from their report to conceal the reliability issue the gun revealed at the event. Perhaps he ducked out to use the restroom during some of the live-fire demonstration. Lil Loaded released the project, A Demon in 6lue, last October.Maybe Daniel Trotta apparently misremembered what happened at the event when he wrote this in the original story:Ī range officer fired the weapon, a third-generation prototype, in its different settings without issue. "They try to make u look guilty wen u innocent regardless. "I appreciate all y’all support," a post on his Instagram account read on Nov. The "6locc 6a6y" rapper has maintained his innocence. Lil Loaded turned himself in to authorities 15 days after the shooting on Nov. Walker was taken to nearby Methodist Charlton Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. In a strange twist in the case, there was reportedly video of Lil Loaded shooting Walker on Walker's phone, according to the police. Walker's sister, who was inside at the time, reported hearing two gunshots and exiting the home to see Walker on the ground injured from the shot. A police affidavit states both men and a witness were standing outside of the residence.
#ARREST GUN JAM FAKE NOISES ARREST UPDATE#
XXL has reached out to Lil Loaded's camp and legal team for comment on the update in the case.Īs previously reported, police allege Lil Loaded shot Walker in the torso with a rifle outside of a home in The Woods neighborhood of Dallas, Texas on Oct.

And The Nominees Are… (Part 2/2)
#younghowzetheatreawards
By Ricky and Dana Young-Howze
Mays Landing, NJ
Venmo: @rndyounghowze
The nominations for the first ever Young-Howze Theatre Awards are finally here! We have been working hard since March of 2020 reviewing over a hundred and forty digital productions. We have been poring over them all since January to bring you these categories and the shows vying for them.
Tumblr media
Let’s remind everyone what our criteria were: Because of the pandemic this year every show that we have reviewed was nominated for at least one category. We picked winners by a very specific set of criteria: What was this show attempting to do? Was it successful? Was it the most successful of all the shows that tried to do this? We apologize to anyone who thought that we would be announcing winners today. We decided that we wanted to save all of the spoilers for the live show on February 21st at 8PM EST. Please remember that even if you only get one nomination it is because we wanted to honor everyone who worked hard this year (every theatre artist who did a show this year deserves a medal). However we understand that specific nominations are useful for theatre creators in their resumes, grant applications etc.
All Nominees should receive a nomination email from us. If you haven’t gotten an email by Monday 11:59pm PST email is at [email protected]
Congratulations everyone! We are so proud of your accomplishments and amazing work. We’ve already seen shows this year that are award worthy. You all exceeded our expectations. Without further ado...

Roots Boise coverage of BRYAN ANTHONY MOORE: ALTERNATIVE FACTS, an Installation and artist’s residency at Ming Studios: http://www.rootsboise.com/bryan-anthony-moore-alternative-facts/ If your opinion of Bryan Anthony Moore was only dependent on the first impression, you’d think him a bombastic wildcard, yet, this artist is both passion and punch. He’s part rockabilly curl, part paint-soaked hightops, and part guru shaman with cannonball humor. Give him a roll of butcher paper and a week, and the art will make the artist look tame. Roots caught up with Moore during his artist talk at MING Studios to hear about his newest installation and his other work. Spontaneous would be an understatement when speaking of Moore’s newest installation at Ming Studios. He’s turned the gallery into a complete canvas in less than a week. Since 2011, Moore has incorporated political elements into his pieces. As he describes his work, the room becomes more of a history book than art studio. This is clearly his objective. Moore’s work has been displayed everywhere from New York City to Los Angeles. When he speaks of his upbringing, he’s candid, yet reserved. He references his childhood experience as not just an inspiration, but also as a source of the visceral–and sometimes violent nature–of his art. He emphasizes that people welcome horror with a bit of humor. Like a vampire at the door, we want an invite in. “Some would say that I vandalize my work,” Moore says, and the room laughs. Quietly. Moore has a way of stating out loud what we’re thinking. He affirms his statement by displaying a victorian-style oil portrait, bulleted in bold spray paints. “I just keep adding to the ruin until the ruin is balanced,” he says. Moore’s observance for the whimsical leads him to declare the obvious, and the result is genius. Moore is inspired by a mix of past and current events, scientific illustrations, and comic books. In his current exhibit, Alternative Facts, he depicts an alternative history through his art. He states that his art illustrates the mythology of our history, “History is subjective, not scientific–as fictive as it is factual.” He says writers told the best story, or the most patriotic story, which might not always have been the whole truth. Taking his lead from contemporary writers that alter the past with “edits” that appear to be historically accurate, Moore “antiquates” his work by dipping his pages in tea to subtlely wink to the Tea Party and places president’s heads atop dinosaur bodies to metaphorically remix the mythic past. Part current events, part history, part fact, part fantasy, Moore’s multifaceted creations are aimed to be mind bending, asking those who might want to look elsewhere to look more closely. Since 2014, Moore has created large installations of his work. He’s exhibited in many states, but Boise is clearly home. Earlier this year, he created a piece in the Boise Art Museum and a pop-up show between Ming Studio’s upcoming exhibits. While his art may be considered controversial, Moore clearly has a sense of humor about it. When asked if he keeps his butcher-paper installations, he notes, “The paper doesn’t last, and the real art is in people watching the process of the work and the conversations that I get to have with those who come in.” Although, he admits that talking with those who may take an affront to his vision isn’t always easy. One of his former students asserts that Moore’s gift is in the way he responds to resistance – with kindness. While this is true, the smiling artist bares his self-critical honesty almost immediately. Oscar Wilde may have insisted on forgiving one’s enemies, but Moore’s philosophy contends that one should be kind to one’s critics, as nothing annoys them so much. Whether you find yourself bewitched or morbidly curious, one thing is for certain: You won’t want to miss this. Catch Bryan A. Moore forging his latest creation in real-time by stopping by during Ming Studio’s open hours this week (Tuesday through Friday from 3-7pm), or by attending the opening for the completed work on July 14 at 6:30pm. The show runs from July 14 to 22. Wan’t more info? Head on over to Ming Studios or visit Moore’s website: www.bryananthonymoore.net

Should You Order From the Prix Fixe Menu or A la Carte? The Case for Both
Do you know the difference between prix fixe menus and a la carte options? One provides you with seemingly endless choices, while the other guides you through each course. While some might debate the benefits of one over the other, both prix fixe and a la carte dining offer unique benefits that the right person at the right time and place will appreciate. Which should you choose when venturing out to the best fine dining Boise restaurant? Here are a few reasons to consider each.
Tumblr media
Prix Fixe Provides You the Full Experience at a Set Price You are probably familiar with the prix fixe menu style in some shape or form, even if you didn’t realize it. From fast food combo meals to the prix fixe menu at the best steakhouse Boise offers, many American restaurants offer prix fixe menus in various forms. If you plan on having an appetizer, entrée, sides, and dessert, prix fixe might suit you best since you get every course at one set price. You Are in Charge of the Culinary Experience with A la Carte If you want to be a little bit more adventurous, a la carte ordering is for you. Maybe you don’t need a salad before your entrée, or perhaps you’d like to order soup, salad, and go straight to dessert; you’re in charge with a la carte. Everything is at its own price, and it’s almost like a choose your own adventure style of dining out. If you know what you want and what you don’t want, a la carte menus put you in the driver’s seat. Prix Fixe Is a Great Choice for Special Occasions with Exclusive Options If you are planning on dining out for a special occasion such as a holiday, a prix fixe might be a better option for you. Many of the best restaurants offer special prix fixe menus for holidays like Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and the like. The chefs will work to pair flavors together to create a seamless dining experience that will delight your taste buds as you eat through each course. If you’re going on a date and want to let the chef decide what you’ll have, prix fixe is the choice for you. A la Carte Is Great for Sharing If you enjoy sharing plates of food with your guests and sampling different flavors, a la carte is the better choice for you. You can order a steak, seafood, and a selection of sides and sample a little bit of everything. This not only makes for a more exciting dining experience, but you’ll also grow your culinary palate and discover new flavors with your closest loved ones. About Chandlers Chandlers has become a staple in the Treasure Valley dining scene since opening in 2007. The fine dining Boise restaurant is home to prime steaks and some of the freshest seafood Boise offers. Whether you’re craving lobster, scallops, lamb, or a steakhouse classic like filet mignon, you can find it at Chandlers. The restaurant also offers three ways to enjoy their food: in-person, takeout, or through their Butcher Block menu. What separates Chandlers from many of the rest is their atmosphere, complete with the best live music Boise offers. If you like jazz, premium service, and extraordinary food, Chandlers is for you. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or need an elevated dining experience in your weekend plans, make a reservation with Chandlers. College Football 2020 Season Championship Week: or whatever this is!
Tumblr media
There are some non-championship games being played, some cancellations, some murdery coaches and probably more cancellations to come. There are even some bowl games coming up this week - I won’t be watching them and I won’t be writing about them, so that’s something to look forward to. Welcome to the end of college football in the year of our dark lord 2020.
I’ll be so glad to be done with this trash season. Here’s the big picture for the week!
Saturday, December 19
MatchupTime (ET)TV/Mobile
14 Northwestern vs. 4 Ohio State (in Indianapolis, IN)    12:00pm   FOX
Buckeyes by 40.
10 Oklahoma vs. 6 Iowa State (in Arlington, TX)         12:00pm       ABC
Oklahoma by 10 and then Iowa State’s coach will go somewhere else.
5 Texas A&M at Tennessee                                    12:00pm           ESPN
I’m not trying to figure out the playoffs too much. If aTm and Notre Dame both make it in then it must be cancelled.
Washington State at Utah                                     1:30pm                FS1
This is happening for some reason.
Air Force at Army                                                   3:00pm            CBSSN
This troop on troop rivalry isn’t celebrated at all but it also doesn’t produce many memorable moments.
Missouri at Mississippi State                               3:30pm           SECN Alt.
Every couple of days I come to like the state of Mizzerree a little bit less.
Mississippi at LSU                                                 3:30pm        SECN
Cancel this, for the love of god. This doesn’t need to exist this year.
Minnesota at Wisconsin                                       4:00pm          BTN
What is the point of this one? Delete.
3 Clemson vs. 2 Notre Dame (in Charlotte, NC)   4:00pm         ABC
Brian Kelly is back offering up blood sacrifice for the good of his career. There’s a lot riding on Sunshine in this one but if you’re going to count on one college football player to deliver in a tough situation he’s... one of them. Maybe the best? Fuck if I know. He’s insanely good. Please butcher the Irish, young fellow.
Boise State vs. 24 San Jose State (in Las Vegas, NV)  4:30pm    FOX
San Jose State has been the off-the-radar success of the year on the West Coast. That’s always fun. I don’t have a rooting interest here because there are a thousand ways this game could end up that would almost all make me giggle heartily.
Illinois at Penn State                                             5:30pm        FS1
Once Penn State won a game I knew there was no hope left.
Stanford at UCLA                                                  7:00pm       ESPN
Man, when I say unnecessary...
23 Tulsa at 9 Cincinnati                                        8:00pm         ABC
Tulsa’s gonna win. The refs are gonna help them.
1 Alabama vs. 7 Florida (in Atlanta, GA)               8:00pm        CBS
Bama by 30, wooooooooo!!!!!!!! Every take on this game involves millions of points being scored because the defenses have some glaring weaknesses in the face of each other but that could be the recipe for a 14-3 kind of night. This marks, by my count, the 64th time these two teams have played for the SEC championship in Atlanta. Florida is always teetering on the edge of absolute disaster and they can’t run the ball but have you checked out their passing efficiency as a team? It’s probably quite a bit better than you realize. Dan Mullen may be excrement made human flesh but he’s a pretty good offensive gameplanner. not so good that he’ll pull the upset here but 59-45 or thereabouts is a possibility. As long as Devonta Smith can rack up yards and TDs and become another weird Bama Heisman winner, that’s what really counts.

NEW YEARS DAY Cancels Shows Due To Illness
Tumblr media
NEW YEARS DAY has pulled out of the final few shows of its tour with FALLING IN REVERSE due to frontwoman Ash Costello's illness. Affected dates begin with tonight's (Friday, May 17) concert in Boise, Idaho and end on May 24 in Los Angeles, California.
Earlier today, NEW YEARS DAY took to Twitter to say: "Unfortunately, we will be canceling the last few shows of our tour with @FIROfficial. Ash has been sick these past few weeks — and though we are devastated over having to cancel, we need to prioritize our health so we can come back as soon as possible. Sincerest apologies to all our fans, but we hope to see you all soon!
NEW YEARS DAY is scheduled to appear at the Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, Oklahoma on May 25 before launching a headlining tour on June 13 in Fresno, California.
NEW YEARS DAY released its fourth studio album, "Unbreakable", on April 26 via RED Music. The follow-up to 2015's "Malevolence" was produced by Mitchell Marlow (ALL THAT REMAINS, IN THIS MOMENT, BUTCHER BABIES) and Scott Stevens (AMERICAN AUTHORS, HALESTORM, SHINEDOWN).

TINA MY BELOVED! all i’ve been able to think abt is what would happen if Spencer’s s/o walked in on him jerking off 🤔 maybe he thought they were gonna be gone all day, maybe he just wasn’t expecting them to be home as early as they were, but they walk into the bedroom and see; what then??? does our boy get embarrassed, does he keep going, does he ask for help??? i’m frothing stop the mouth!
(ps i def think part of my obsession w spencer is the fact his face claim is patrick wilson >:) there’s just something abt that man….anyways! i love you and hope you’re doing well!)
B, THANK YOU FOR SENDING THINGS IN ABOUT THE BOY! I've been meaning to write more about him and just some scenarios in general, so this will definitely help fuel that for me, so thank you!
But ooh boy, talk about giving me the best and most delicious imagine for him, oof. I hope you like it! Don't ever hesitate to send me messages or asks about him!
And omg yes, Patrick Wilson is one of my favorites and I just HAD to use him, it took me a while to settle on him but boy am I happy with it <3
》MINORS, DO NOT INTERACT《
Tumblr media
If you and Spencer haven’t really shared any actual intimate moments together, he is an actual mess. He won’t really initiate something with you right off the bat only because he’s so used to pushing people away. He knows the face you’ll wear once you find out about him, he knows that to get attached is to suffer. So he’ll watch with keen interest but he couldn’t initiate something between you both, you’d have to take that step for him if you were so willing. Bonus points if you KNEW he was a killer and decided to stay, that gets him super hot and bothered.
So of course, if you haven’t taken that step yet, he’d get by with just his hands for now, he’d touch himself and recall a memory of you from earlier. He loved to think about the faces you’d make when you were so engrossed in something, lips parted, eyes focused. Passion was what drove him to you and it would be difficult to keep his hands to himself if he caught you doing the most mundane things. Being around you was one big challenge in itself because all he could think about was how you sounded, so how good would you sound whispering his name in the dark?
So one day after you had gone out shopping, running errands, whatever you decided on that day, he watches you leave and expects you back later in the evening, it would be enough time for him to prepare dinner and you’d come back without having to worry about it. He took this opportunity to finally allow himself to release all of the pent-up feelings he bottled up the past week, his thoughts only on you as he pictured you clearly in his mind and how fucking good you looked at any given moment. He took a shower and had felt relaxed as he leaned back into the pillows that he propped up and nestled into, his eyes fluttered closed and he let out a contented sigh.
His mind went to you and his hand snaked down beneath the towel, his hand still warm from the water, and he thought of your hand gliding up and down as he closed his eyes. He could hear your voice and how sweetly you spoke to him, he would envision you praising him and telling him how hard he was for you and that you loved to see him so submissive for you. If he had it bad enough, he wouldn't be rough unless you begged him to be, he would be as gentle with you as he could be while he'd take you anywhere in the house.
But what he didn't realize was that you had gotten everything finished so early today and you were pulling into the driveway, he was so lost in his fantasies that his strangled groan covered the sound of the car door shutting. You walked in without a care in the world, excited to surprise Spencer with an early lunch you'd picked up on your way home. What you didn't expect was to be greeted to an awkwardly silent house with no Spencer in sight. You weren't the type to call out for anyone in case someone was possibly in the house, you needed the element of surprise. Spencer taught you that.
Instead, you peeked around the bedroom door that was slightly ajar and saw Spencer doing something you'd never thought you'd see. He seemed so focused, his brows drawn together and his hand taking its time with trying to draw out his release, it was a deliciously hot sight and you stood there for a moment longer than you should have and watched him. When you finally decide to make yourself known, he panicked. Full-blown panic mode. You'd never seen him doing something like that and he wasn't sure how to react in this situation, you didn't seem appalled by his actions but he still raced to cover himself out of embarrassment.
"Oh God, I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be home, and I, well I've just… I guess– I don't know… I'm sorry." His heart raced and he didn’t know what to do anymore, how could he have done something so stupid as to get caught like a hormonal teenager? He couldn't make eye contact, not at first, you'd have to pull his attention to you and offer him that sweet smile he loved so much.
"Spence, you know I don't mind that. All I wanted to know is, why wouldn't you ask me to help?"
If you did that, if you said anything like that, he'd melt into it and absolutely lose his shot over the idea. He would meet your eyes and stare at you as if you were the most amazing thing on the planet, a wonder he'd never thought he'd seek out. Offer to help him and that would build his confidence greatly, and make sure to add some praise in there, he's weak for it. He’d be putty in your hands from then on out as if he already wasn’t, but it comes with bonus benefits this time around.
Once this happened, Spencer would be more open with the way he would be feeling since you would be so open to him communicating this, and it definitely helped him open up more overall toward you since you seemed to be so comfortable with him.
BONUS: When discussing things you were into, he’d not really have many things he’s done, so maybe you could show him the ropes and discover new kinks along the way. The man is open to trying anything once ;)

why don’t more people talk about A Man of No Importance? you have a young oblivious bus driving Rufus Sewell who gets called Boise by his Oscar Wilde obsessed Albert Finney bus conductor partner, there's a small community production of Salome in a Catholic Church, Michael Gambon is an asshole butcher and there's overall themes of sexuality and queer identity in 1960s Ireland,,,,it's equally heartbreaking and heartwarming and the ending is somewhat unexpected and satisfying (the blonde wig? The declaration of unconditional friendship?) what more could you want really,,,and there's a musical based on it

My Mother’s Story - Sue Castaneda
What were the names of  your mother and father?
My mother was born April 14, 1930 in Caldwell, Idaho.  The daughter of Joseph and Leona Harris, she was named Shirley Lee Harris.
Shirley was the oldest of three children -- Shirley,  Bill, and then Linda. All three of them tell the story of how your Grandma would hold her little brother Bill on the floor, put Linda’s potty chair over his head and have Linda sit on it naked.  Much like hanging spit over your heads, right?
Shirley married Dean McLay – probably in 1947 or 1948.  She was pregnant with my brother Ronnie. They also had Randy McLay and Joan McLay.
Some year or another, a woman called Shirley (Grandma) and asked if she was Shirley McLay and was she married to Dean McLay?  She said yes and the woman told her that she was also married to Dean.
Shirley and Dean divorced, and Dean spent six months in prison for polygamy.  He went on to legally marry the other woman and have some kids by him. Eventually, they divorced and the woman and Grandma became friends and would have lunch together on occasion.
Not long after this divorce, Shirley married a man with the last name of Gamble. They had a daughter named Lori. This marriage didn’t last long and when they divorced Grandma couldn’t afford to take care of all of these kids by herself, so she let the husband’s parents adopt her.
Lori lives in Vale, Oregon – an hour from Boise where Grandma lives -  and as close as live to each other,  Grandma never tried to connect with her.  She told me, “I know what she thinks of me.”  Randy knew Lori when he lived in Vale. Vale, by the way, is the town grandma grew up in. It’s about an hour or so from Boise in eastern Oregon.  Her parents built and ran the “Harris Motel.”  I used to love to go there! Thought it was the coolest place ever.  It had eight rooms with creaky beds and the metal shell-shaped yard chairs in front of each room.  My grandmother’s house was just old, but I loved the squeaky screen door, the old furniture and the coal stove in the dining room.  Whenever I read a book, this is one of the places I use for my mental scene of a house.  A few years ago, my cousins Rebecca and Pam got together in Denver and each of us drew a map of what we remembered of Grandma Leona’s house.  None of us could quite remember how the bathroom fit in to the picture.  Grandad – Jerry Lynn Chavers – was born on March 21, 1933 in Seguin, Texas to Merry Iva James Milton Chavers.  His father was so jealous of anyone and everyone where his wife was concerned, including hs baby son.  Iva told me that she was breastfeeding Jerry one time and that James Milton took him from her and threw him.  Later, they had my aunt Yvonne.  One night, Yronne tried to climb up into bed with them and JM threw a fit.  Grandma said she spent night in a corner with the two kids and a butcher knife to protect them.  They divorced but always had this love/hate relationship.  James Milton was in the Navy too, I think. Iva went on to marry Alton Hightower -- supposedly an Oklahoma oil man, but I don’t know.  Apparently, they were quite wealthy.  She was living part time in Texas and he in Oklahoma when she heard he was having an affair.  She drove to Oklahoma in the middle of the night and knocked on the door of her own house when she arrived. The “other woman” answered the door wearing Iva’s housecoat.  AB and Iva also divorced.  I never met James Milton or AB. I also never my mom’s dad Joe – he died three months before I was born.  My grandmother Leona was kind of boring, but Iva was the fun grandma.  She drank a lot though.  She and her sister Jimmie (Bertha) could milk a beer for hours!

4 Spring Adventures to Experiences with Your Best Friend in the Treasure Valley
It’s been a long winter, and if you’re like most Treasure Valley residents, you’re ready to welcome arguably the best season in Boise: spring. Even if we haven’t seen the snowiest winter here, the cold, windy days won’t be missed. If you and your best friend have been dying to do something together but want to make the most of this newfound fantastic weather, try any of these four Treasure Valley adventures this spring.
Tumblr media
Find a Nice Reading Tree at a Local Park The Treasure Valley is known for the public parks spread out across the area. From downtown Boise to Kuna, you don’t need to go far to find a nice patch of grass and, ideally, the perfect tree to read under. The truth is, the weather is far too nice not to spend an afternoon getting lost in the pages of a good book. If you and your friend are in need of some quality peace and quiet, a reading date at a local park should be in your plans. Try a New Local Trail Another benefit of living in the Treasure Valley is the extensive trail system. In other metropolitan areas, getting to a hiking path might require a commute. In Boise, you’ll find trails for all experience levels only a stone’s throw away from bustling downtown Boise restaurants. Whatever your skill level or how long you want to be out in nature, there’s a trail nearby for you. From Table Rock to Camel’s Back, lace up your hiking shoes, pack some water, and get out there with the rest of the locals. Find the Nearest Patio and Let the Afternoon Drift Away Is there anything better than hanging out on a patio, chatting it up over drinks and appetizers, and just letting the afternoon drift away? Well, winning the lottery might come close, but apart from that, one of the best things you can do on a spring weekend here in the Treasure Valley is lounge on a patio. Whether it’s your backyard patio or one at a downtown Boise restaurant, find a patio you feel comfortable with and make it a point to visit this spring. Try a New or Old Favorite Downtown Restaurant What better way to cap off a great day with your best friend than enjoying some of the freshest seafood Boise offers? You read that right; even in land-locked Idaho, you can enjoy fresh seafood. For example, local fine dining establishment Chandlers offers jet-fresh seafood flown in daily from fish markets in Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest. Fine dining might seem like a special occasion thing, so if you were looking for an excuse to make a reservation, make this spring it! End your spring day right and make a reservation at https://www.chandlersboise.com/ Original Source: https://bit.ly/2ZZnk6n

BOISE — Crouched down in a forest, knife in hand, Brennon Leman starts to skin the bull elk lying dead on the ground. He draws his blade across the animal’s belly, over its legs and along its neck, peeling back the hide bit by bit. Leman removes the elk’s legs and trims off cuts of meat, laying them off to the side. When the animal is fully butchered, Leman…
