Aaron having to bring his daughter with him to work for whatever reason? She’s tiny enough to not be running around and mainly just sleep on his chest all day. It’s fall outside and she’s in a warm teddy bear outfit so it’s literally like a stuffed animal on his chest as he works. She wouldn’t remember anything she saw in files but he makes sure her head is never near anything bad. Makes his heart warm and happy when the others realize that she’s there and coo over her and the outfit. Penelope takes pictures of them to send to you too 😭🖤

i'm going to CRY cw; fem!reader, girl dad!aaron, small foyet reference

aaron's entrance into the bullpen piqued the interest of several, as it was different from any other, usual morning. not only was his briefcase in hand, but also a carseat, and a diaper bag was slung proudly over his shoulder. there were smiles from the team, some small nudges to look amongst the other units, as today's visitor was easily welcomed.

during breakfast, you had been notified your dentist appointment had been moved up, due to the office closing earlier within the day for whatever reason. with such short notice and jessica being unavailable, aaron was the obvious solution, and your daughter came to work with him - until you were done running a few errands and could drop by to retrieve her.

for the meantime - as she was there - aaron opted to work strictly on the no-pictures-included files. while she was never in close proximity to a file regardless, and today's onesie's hood happened to shield her eyes, and her little mind wouldn't process or remember anything - aaron didn't want to take any chances. he yearned to keep his daughter as far away from that, all the horrors the world possessed, for as long as he possibly could. jack had gained the knowledge - that monsters were real, just in human form - sooner than he would have liked. sadly.

currently baby girl was tucked into his chest, her right cheek smushed against him. she dozed off not too long ago; she had gotten a bit antsy and luckily his swivel desk chair allowed him to slowly rock her as he worked, in addition to soothingly shushing her, whispering that it's okay; ultimately calming her down. her little fingers found a near death grip on his shirt, clinging onto him as she slept.

when he had felt the pull of fabric, he gazed down and couldn't help but smile. aaron also took a moment, to soak it all in. the window of time where this was possible, was limited; her against his chest, small enough to be cradled in one arm, quiet and secure in the comfort of his office. all in too fast progression would aaron blink, and she would be way more interested in exploring and bouncing off the walls.

the thought immediately snapped his heart into two. if only she could stay that tiny, forever.

as he wrote, flipped a page, switched files, aaron was extremely careful to his movements. he tried not to rustle her, despite her being comfortably laid in his not-preoccupied-by-writing arm.

the sudden creak of his door lifts his eyes, penelope entering. the quietest of aw’s leaves her as she approaches, with an extra spring in her step at the sight before her. in addition, she doesn't hesitate to whisk out her phone.

"i didn't know this cutie was here today." the words leave her in a gentle, yet high, pitched tone, giddiness laced within. her jaw fully drops as she catches sight of the cozy onesie the littlest hotchner inhabits, "oh my god look at her outfit!"

“garcia.” aaron lightly warns as her volume heightens, his eyes flicking back up to her from his paperwork, his pen slowing.

“i know sorry sorry, i just neeeed to share the cuteness with the mrs.," penelope grins, aiming her camera at baby girl, and aaron, snapping a few pictures. "this is just, too dang adorable. she needs a copy, i need a copy, and i'll make you a copy too, sir."

that tugs aaron's lips into a smile, a small chuckle leaving him. "she's cute, huh?"

"um hello? cute doesn't even begin to cover it. please tell me you're the one who dressed her today. if yes, i might have to scream. just might."

"not today." aaron admitted, dropping his pen and fixing the small hood, which had fallen a bit too much in front of baby girl's face. again, his lips couldn’t help but pull into a smile. god, he loved being a girl dad, and a dad in general. "but, i may have picked it out."

"i was right. i'm going to scream." quick to realize what she said, penelope held out her hands in defense - before aaron even had the opportunity to open his mouth - clarifying with wide eyes. "internally! i'm screaming internally."

aaron took a slight pause, before speaking. “actually, about the copies - ”

penelope’s shoulders dropped in defeat, her lips pulling to the side - an equivalent to an ‘eek’. “was i too enthusiastic?”

“on the contrary,” aaron’s expression softened, laughing gently as to again, not rouse baby girl. “would you mind bringing me two? i’ll need one for in here, and for my wallet.”

✩ SPEAKING of drawing, if you’re hyperfixating on something he’ll draw it for you

✩ he just wants to see you happy. 😞💚

✩ if you get overstimulated he’s probably the best out of the 4 to go to

✩ if it’s loud noises, he’ll help block it out by covering your ears, if it’s because a place is crowded he’ll keep you close to himself, etc

✩ helps you re-focus by nudging you lightly or saying your name quietly

✩ if you have a hyperfixation he 100% binges it so he knows everything about it

✩ lets you rant about anything with him

✩ if he’s out at the store and finds something relating to your fixation, he’ll show it to you all exited

✩ if you’re hyperactive, he tries to match your energy and be hyper with you

✩ however, if you need a moment of quiet to just recoup, he’ll be silent and wait until you’re ready

✩ if you’re having a panic attack or overstimulated he rubs your head and whispers comforting things. He’ll take you somewhere private until you’re okay

✩ if you like them, he’ll get you fidget toys

✩ if you stim by bouncing up and down or making repetitive noises he finds it the CUTEST THING EVER

✩ tries really hard not to baby you though

✩ if you go non-verbal, he’ll get those lil card things and try to figure out what you need

✩ for the most part, perfect

✩ but he’d probably get stressed out when you’re upset and he can’t figure out why

✩ if you randomly start focusing on something unrelated to whatever you’re doing, he’d probably join in 😭

anyways! that's pretty much what it is when it comes to college and frankly? i just wanna get it over with like literally the only highlight to it is seeing my friends and spending time with my boyfriend 😭 but!! a social science major sounds cool! i'd say you have some pretty good goals set in mind and you can always take up a minor if you want to pursue the others :> (i did consider having music as a minor) and sure! the courses depend on what you pick really and the college/professor, online is just about the same as in-person if you have a lot of reading on a pc to do tbh. english classes are well. kind of like the ones in high school but college-leveled. just make sure you give yourself enough time to do assignments bc they can be painful :"D

HELP LMAO??? okay that's true though, the fontaine quest definitely made a splash and we really had to dip our toes in the water with it huh? anyway thats kind of the thing, the only similarity between bedo and lyney is that they actively flirt with me in their own way, and its funny bc i usually try to find someone whose personality complements mine bc im generally the quieter one compared to both (ah yes a reality tv show for me HJEKAHD) also yea! i think both of them really do have traits that make them stand out and frankly i wish they got more screentime (also i have yet to watch the 4.6 trailer ehehe)

here with another soft dad!brandon thought (sort of? pre-dad!brandon technically)

once you decided that it was the right time to start the family you guys had been talking about for a while, you'd be trying to think of cute ways to surprise him if you got a positive test - but there was no way you actually could because he was practically attached to your hip at all times. we're talking as soon as you peed on the dang stick he'd be knocking on the bathroom door to see what you were doing. it'd be a sight, you sitting on the closed toilet seat, leg bouncing nervously, and he'd be sitting on the floor against the wall, legs bent to accommodate his body in the small space, feet pressed against the cabinets under the sink. as soon as your phone timer went off you were both jumping up and peering down at the test, and it's taking him a second to process the little plus sign and then you're screaming and you're both crying and he's trying to pick you up and spin you around but your bathroom is too small for that so he'd have to settle for sitting you on the counter, legs wrapped around him, squeezing you tight, and he's mumbling into your neck "we're gonna be a family. we're gonna be a family!" (I feel like it wouldn't be "I'm gonna be a dad" because he's just always seen you guys as a unit, a team, and as much as he tries to put you first this really is about both of you together and starting a whole new chapter of your lives, together)

i don't know where this came from, i don't even want kids but i want this that's all ok

Oh my gosh you have no idea how much I needed this today!! Obsessed w the idea of him being just glued to your side bc he would never want you go through anything alone. I just imagine him being so positive the entire time you’re trying and really shouldering everything when you get nervous about trying.

But omggg imagine him when you’re actually pregnant? He absolutely would hover and dote on you like crazy probably to the point of annoying you. Anything you’re craving, you’d have in an instant. He’d read all the baby books, paint the nursery, build the crib etc etc. probably would be obsessedddd with your baby bump too! Like def sings to it every night, kisses it, lays his head there. Aghhh b will be the softest dad in the world

I also am unsure if I want kids but this absolutely made me!!

Nursing stages

For my son:

Newborn-3mo: "Sweet precious liquid gold. This is the yummiest. I want this all day everyday every 5 minutes. Never unlatch. *piggie noises* wheres your milk mama where is it where whe- found it *slurps*. I could eat this in my sleep. So dreamy."

3-6mo: "I love milk but I dont need it every 30 minutes."

6-9mo:

*latch* "wait what, what are you eating, must see what you have" *unlatch*

*latch* "wait who are you talking to?" *unlatch*

*latch* "did you cough?" *unlatch*

"Meh i can eat later- what this?" *crawls to random object*

Most distracted nurser EVER

9-12mo: "Im still distracted but now Ive learned i can do yoga poses AND nurse. Mama youre a great jungle gym"

12mo+:

J: WAHHHH

M: Do you want leche?

J: hehehehehe *attacks boob* "dont you dare unlatch me" *holding on for dear life*

*bouncing from boob to boob* "this is fun"

"I must play with this toy/keep my snack in my mouth/do yoga/watch what daddy/dog are doing all while still latched- moms bendable, its okay."

For me:

Newborn-3mo: oh my goodness. Why do i feel like my eyes will burst out of my head and feel pins and needles. Something HAS to be wrong. Am I giving him enough? He just ate 5 minutes ago! PASS THE BURP CLOTH ITS A WATERFALL!!! Oh my isnt he so sweet hes so peaceful when he falls asleep nursing. Gosh little piggie, my nipple is right here.

3-6mo: This isnt so bad. Wait...shouldnt i try a bottle at some point-i am going back to work soon. PLEASE TAKE THIS BOTTLE PLEASEEEEEEE whatever i give up. Boob forever i guess-i think ill just let him self wean.

6-9mo: 😭😭😭 why no bottle still im so sleepy. Reversecycling is the worst. Why cant you just nurse during the day- the apple i am eating isnt that interesting. Relatch please!!!! Iwillnotpumpwhilenotatwork iwillnotpumpwhilenotatwork dang it he was too distracted to nurse again- hand expressing in the bathroom.

9-12mo: whoa they never taught me this position *foot to the face/twirling child*

12mo+: how does one wean at one? That is the question. Sorry boobs are out of service for at least 15 minutes-im exhausted. No, you may not pull my shirt while im in public & talking to an adult. Leche leche LECHE *doing the sign for milk* man im back to the newborn stage. My boobs hurt and youre on me 24/7.....

And here we go again....

Not going to lie, this is the best worst craziest funniest most rewarding and "death of me" experience i would and could ever have. And it is everything i could have ever hoped for and imagined and then some because i never knew that id wholeheartedly would want to continue and let him self wean. Pretty much everything i said i would do BEFORE he was born is legit out the window.

But my goodness i wouldnt trade it.

Each stage is new funny daunting yet exciting and i love watching him grow and change yet still benefit from my milk.

I know hell never want to know of this when he is older but this experience definitely means alot to me ❤
