A combined prompt for the last two days!

This is both Kyle and Minharh grieving their lost father-son relationship, lost through Minharh's own faked death.

For Kyle, it's a betrayal of trust, and five years of enduring and adapting to a life without his dad (and only friend).

For Minharh, he knew he'd have to reveal his identity to Kyle at some point, if the ever reunited. But Kyle saw through his lies first.

This scene would fall right after the end of Chapter 1 in The Deliverance of Kyle Kindall (KK3)

Correction of a line in KK3 Ch.16 [spoiler-free]

In KK3, aka Kindall K #3, there's a line (p.139) after which Kyle mentions that his father's surname used to be La'e - i.e. Sa'a La'e [previous] > Sa'a Kindall [later].

Sam then asks why Kyle didn't end up with that surname (La'e), to which Kyle was supposed to say:

"My parents decided to follow the Arkala'ana marriage customs of the husband taking on his wife's surname." (Corrected)

Instead I wrote that he said:

"My parents hadn't decided to follow the Arkala'ana marriage customs of the husband taking on his wife's surname." (...oops)

I think this must've happened during editing. It probably used to look like this when I first wrote it: [Kyle]"I would've been surnamed that if my parents hadn't decided to follow the Arkala'ana marriage customs of the husband taking on his wife's surname."

In other words, for clarity, Kyle's parents' surnames were La'e (father) and Kindall (mother), but Kyle was surnamed Kindall because his father took Kyle's mother's last name in marriage.

Apologies to anyone who read that part and got confused ^^;

So, my copy of The Deliverance of Kyle Kindall (Kindall K #3) came today...

Me: "...o.o eh?? *Disbelieving laugh* Wait, did I actually write that much??"

I did not realise it's so big 😂 I mean, I knew it was gonna be big - I saw that from the printed out manuscript I was editing with. But somehow I still did not expect the book to be this size??!

KK1: ~ 85000 words, 340 pages

KK2: ~ 87000 words, 356 pages

KK3: ~ 128000 words, 578 pages

In contrast, the Ninao incident story (prequel) is not gonna end up that long! xD

I JUST FINISHED THE FIC!!!!!!! (Aka the 128,000 word novel I've been working on that is The Deliverance of Kyle Kindall (KK3))

When I first had the idea for this story (The Case of Kindall, K.) about two years ago, I thought, "Hey, this could be an interesting story to challenge myself with!" 🤔 :D

Nek minnit said story ends up being having ~300,000 words to it.

But ahhhhh -- the end-of-writing feels are good ✨✨

Now I gotta edit KK3 and all, finish preparing formatting and whatnot...but...

It done...for now...
