Though I know some wellington #also has a layer of prosciutto I think. or I saw one person use crepes. You know I actually never realized this before-- so you remember how tri. retconned Original Chosen fighting and defeating Apocalymon into them fighting the Dark Masters instead? (To be fair it is possible they could've ALSO fought Apocalymon afterwards but that isn't the Epic Final Showdown tri. decided to depict so it's borderline a retcon)

If the Original 5 Chosen fought and defeated the Dark Masters once in the distant past, doesn't that mean that

A) They survived and hid for just a few thousand years until they came back for a Round 2 at conquering the world

B) They died, were reborn, and THEN went for the Round 2

You know I've just DYING with curiosity, desperately wanting to know if any of the villians in Adventure would ever be reborn after Adventure, right. Because according to the lore they should, right (unless their data was like somehow absorbed by Apocalymon and destroyed along with him (though that would still leave Piemon as an exception (and Vamdemon but we all know what happened to him) and the sole survivor))

And what tri. has essentially done is confirm that most of them should, in fact, be reborn sooner or later

But that just raises the question of if Apocalymon was lowkey driving the Dark Masters nuts (as suggested by the novels), and if tri. was kind of about destroying the last remnants of Apocalymon's data (within Meicoomon), if they were reborn this time would they be free of Apocalymon's influence

If so, would their third (?) lives then turn out different? Would they still try to take over the world all over again for funsies (this time just without Apocalymon giving them power etc), or were they just the same as Ken was in Zero Two? I mean Apocalymon was supposed to be a spawn of Milleniummon and Ken was infected with Mille's malice directly, so while it may have been a bit filtered it was still the same source of malice and corruption, right

And like regardless of how their next lives would turn out, shouldn't the kids (OR AT THE VERY FUCKING LEAST GENNAI) like realize that this is going to happen eventually and like. Go and see if they can find them (either as their pre-Ultimate forms or even when they're still in their Eggs) and try to figure out what to do BEFORE shit hits the fan

Rn for my one paper, I'm writing about the guys that boy king Martian's dynamic is somewhat based on and god it still really kills me. Just the idea that despite Mark not having a very high position, he has the most sway over Seb and his decision-making simply because he's Seb's *favorite.* Mark being his emotional and intimate life partner who he is Seb's greatest comfort and who Seb trusts the most. Them going on leave together and sharing beds, Mark always riding in Seb's carriage, Seb calling Mark his "eternal love," etc etc.

btw bad isn't something you are it's something you do. different people have different capacities for evil depending on their environments and influences but no one is born predestined to do bad and no one is really truly a "bad person" because bad people, conceptually, don't exist. that's some puritan ass shit from the whole "sinners/saints" schtick and you'll all be better off if you cleanse it from your mind and learn to instead think of people as a) positive/negative agents in their own and others' lives, b) products of their environments and c) having the capacity for change and growth. sometimes we support and care about characters because they are a positive agent in others' lives, sometimes we sympathize with their poor situation and environment, and sometimes we see they have the capacity to change and grow. all of these are valid and none of them nullify the bad they've done nor vice versa. there's no moral high ground in a) claiming your favorite "bad person" character actually did no wrong (they definitely did and that's fine), or b) claiming your least favorite "bad person" character should be condemned biblical-style by the audience for their moral complexity.

I started a piece of art today which is based on some plant species* that I think would be good to colonize Tim in @gunpowder-tim’s headcanon of the Persephone Tim headcanon; so it’s art based on a headcanon of a headcanon of a headcanon 😅 [sweat simle emoji].

It’s gonna take a long time I think, but I am planning on posting it here even though it’s just gonna be plants and no Tim (because I am much better at drawing these little doodle plants than drawing people).

*so the art is basically of real species we have on Earth, but I maintain that they wouldn’t have the same plants on the City, so in my brain his plants are just similar to these ones.

ten drawings and like twelve seconds of the song into this whodunit? project, determinedly progressing....and for fun, i was like, okay put Anything else into zeke’s locker / give it Any flair, like, always striking for a balance b/w not making things too difficult but not like cutting all corners & fully avoiding what i think would be fun &/or just good to include

mainly had the spontaneous idea for like, put a poster/pic in there somewhat horror related, i was gonna do something kind of Scary Generic like a haunted house & then had the insight like oh hey make it hopefully evocative of the cover illustration for the first goosebumps book “welcome to dead house”

and then added a kermit the frog keychain, fun anyways, and a bit of a shoutout to an element of the book in zeke’s like immediate introduction lol

kind of the best of both worlds when it occurs to me to have something be kind of an easter egg / reference to Something touched on in any of this material, like also made sure to get zeke’s locker number right (or rather make the locker to the left One Number Below the number given in the musical synopsis (no locker number’s given in the book) to imply his correct locker number, but probably i’ll show the closed locker door also) which is itself an easter egg reference to how many years ago the events of The Legend occurred (in the musical), because coming up with such details wholecloth is a trial i might just otherwise avoid completely, and then idk i think it’s fun. like, i’ve read welcome to dead house, classic. i’ve also now read phantom of the auditorium lol and it’s always a great time, r.l. stine always talking about how he thinks that wtdh as the first book is a bit too scary and/or not yet tempered enough with humor, and pota makes me laugh aloud like every page. a delight

#goosebumps the musical #and with this one also just: #goosebumps #i vaguely remember the plot to wtdh also. girl with a little brother & parents & the family dog move to a new neighborhood #where it's like weirdly cold & dim all the time i think but don't worry about it? there's not much going on & like; a cemetary; don't worry? #think the dog goes missing at some point :( with perhaps a ''the animal knew too much'' implication to that #and i don't remember if they even find it lol. their parents definitely go missing & then have to be rescued from like some nocturnal ritual #where like the lore is that years ago everyone in the town was poisoned and died and so now it's just like. undead neighborhood ofc #and idk they lure in living people & then idk if it's like give us your life force &/or just be undead like us. expanding the community. #not much of a diff i guess. anyways they save them & seemingly like get everyone w/the ol First Sunbeams Of Dawn* trick #(*i thought dawn was like a synonym for sunrise but turns out it's like the Dusk to Sunset equivalent. i.e. dawn is when there's still only #indirect sunlight. i think that's fun to know) but when driving away they see the Realtor Who's Supposed To Be Dead But This Time For Real #showing some other family to Dead House(tm) like well that's not good. The End #meanwhile total segue some lines that got me from pota even just extracting that one brief quote were like #the self contained paragraph ''rich is zeke's older brother. he spends most of his life being grounded.'' #and a line i misremembered as ''as if he had anything to do with it'' which was already always funny to me #is actually ''as if he had something to do with it'' which imo is at least twice as funny lol

i had a nightmare i went over to my cousin's tomorrow and everything was different and two of my cousins wouldn't even talk to me bc they "just couldn't stand to talk to somebody like that" and after several strained conversations i discovered that they're very very angry with me because of how i acted in december (eg: getting upset and deciding to stop initiating, skipping christmas which i used to do all the time) then i had a long conversation with one of their ex-boyfriends (that they'd apparently got back together with) because he wouldn't stop talking to me and no one else would talk to me. apparently he's been having really bad insomnia for the past three months, like less than 6 hours a night every night, often more like 3. he didn't think his insurance would cover a sleep study, didn't wanna try nightly melatonin, and he also didn't want to devote much thought or energy to figuring out if his routine changed in december, so it was basically just venting. 🥴 then i woke up. glad i got to catch up with this guy i last heard reference to when my cousin finally admitted "he hated you so much, he was always trying to make me stop spending time with you." after months of basically demanding i ignore the rancid vibes he gave off every time i hung out with him. ah!!! 🫨 it's like i was there. and tomorrow i will be lmao. fuck.

#that was such a slice of life dream #like that's really how it happens #you hear something that has crazy implications then you get stuck in an oblivious conversation with an oblivious person you don't even like #but you can't talk real in front of them #and the other person just sits there like they don't wanna talk to you #and then you go home #left to stew in your unfinished conversation forever because next time you see the person they'll feel completely differently anyway #i could scream #adam talks too much
