Destiel fanfic masterlist
My Destiel fanfics in decreasing word count order:
Hold me tight or don't (Explicit, words: 37,677)
Tags: Canon Compliant up to 15x13 // First Kiss // Domesticity in the Men of Letters Bunker // Conversations in the Impala // falling!Castiel // New Relationship // First Time // Castiel is Jack Kline's Parent // Castiel and Dean Winchester in Love //Art Embedded //soundtrack
Summary: With Jack’s soul now back, the four inhabitants of the Bunker are working on establishing a new routine. Between hunts, God’s wrath hanging over their heads and Castiel’s dwindling grace, the angel is not particularly eager to mention his deal to the Winchesters. With everything that’s going on, allowing himself to be happy sounds impossible anyway, right? Wrong…
With art by the fantastic @lizleeships
“Why now?” The angel asked quietly, taking a small step back.
Dean's fingers tightened on the tie he'd been holding onto as if it was a lifeline. “You said we were real. I want to believe it.”
“Even if it ends in pain?”
“Cas, everything I do ends there, eventually. There is always a bigger, heavier, smellier shoe waiting to drop. Holding back in fear of it doesn't make it any smaller, lighter or... or... “
“Less odoriferous?” Cas offered.
“Is that even a real word?”
“It is, indeed.”
“Sometimes you sound like you eat dictionaries and Victorian novels for breakfast,” Dean shook his head, grinning.
My unintended (Explicit, words:10,202)
Tags: Angst with a Happy Ending // Post-Episode: s15e20 Carry On // FUCK CANON! // Saving Dean Winchester - Retconning the finale - The fangirl business // Castiel/Dean Winchester First Kiss // Castiel/Dean Winchester First Time Having Sex // Slow and Romantic Sex // Bottom Castiel/Top Dean Winchester
Summary: At first, Castiel is ready to honour his part of the deal with the Empty, but then Jack shows up with distressing news...
With art by the fantastic @jeanne-de-valois
Cas heaves Dean into a bridal carry, struggling under his weight, but still he shifts slightly when Sam moves closer to help. He knows he needs to stop keeping Sam away, because it’s not fair, and it’s not what Dean wants anyway, but Sam accepts it and simply hangs back with a nod before he speaks again.
“I also know it’s not my business, but… do you think you could talk to Dean once he’s up for it? I’m not blind, or stupid. You two have to stop only holding each other like that when one of you is hurt or dead.”
Love me right (Explicit, words: 2,436)
Tags: Established Castiel/Dean Winchester // Porn with Feelings // Dean Winchester Wears Panties // Light Bondage // Panty Kink // Wing Kink // Top Castiel/Bottom Dean Winchester // Light Dom/sub // Dom Castiel/Sub Dean Winchester // Light BDSM // Dean and Castiel watch porn then recreate it
Summary: Dean asks to be tied up - who's Cas to say no to that? Written for a prompt by @winchester-reload on Patreon: "Thee Pink Panties"
“I want you to tie me up,” Dean blurts out one morning, closer to being asleep than awake still. He has no idea if Cas is even in the bedroom with him - for once, the angel is not curled around Dean with his whole body, their limbs entwined to the point where they can’t tell where one of them ends and the other begins, cliché as it is.
There’s no reply, so Dean lifts his head and blinks the grogginess away to look around. Cas is in the room, sitting cross-legged on the green couch by the wall with an open book in his lap but he’s staring at Dean with eyes so comically wide Dean would think it humanly impossible if he wasn’t seeing it with his own eyes.
“For fun,” Dean adds in hopes that Cas catches his meaning. The angel looks slightly less taken aback at that, but he still appears confused and tilts his head as if a slightly different angle would help with unraveling the mystery of Dean's words. “During sex, Cas.”
Rewind the exit (Teen And Up Audiences, words: 2,408)
Tags: Post-Episode: s15e18 Despair // Fix-It // Grief/Mourning // Angst with a Happy Ending // Castiel and Dean Winchester in Love // Grieving Dean Winchester // Grieving Sam Winchester
Summary: "Rewinding the exit wound, I'm holding on to you 'Cause I need words like anyone, and I need love like everyone With those words I'm strong enough, and I need love like everyone." (Rewind the exit by Volbeat) Obligatory 15x18 fix-it.
The Bunker is haunted. It's haunted by two faint apparitions of humanity who mostly pass each other by in the corridors like ships in the night, silent and distant.
Dean prays. Every morning, every evening, and most waking hours between the two, he prays. He doesn't know if Cas can hear him, but the faith that he can is all Dean has, so it has to be enough.
It's not enough. Yet Dean clings to it, because if he doesn't have that, he doesn't have anything.
Bite me (Mature, words: 1,407)
Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence // Vampire Dean Winchester // Mild Blood!Kink (comes with the territory) // Castiel/Dean Winchester First Kiss
Summary: After Dean gets turned into a vampire during S06E05 - Live Free or Twi-hard, instead of going to Lisa's, he prays to Cas. Written for a prompt by winchester-reload on Patreon: "Vampire!Dean having a Cas snack"
“I can get you through this, and then we’ll burn any other bridges as we get to them,” Cas says earnestly.
“That’s not how the saying… you know what, never mind. I don’t want to get through this! I told you to kill me!” Dean pushes Cas away, but the angel holds onto both of his shoulders to stabilise him until Dean shakes him off in defiance. “Fucking stubborn angel, why can’t you just do as you’re told?”
“Because I’ve decided to disregard stupid orders!” Cas shoots back, and his previous stoicism is gone entirely. His eyes flare faintly with the light of his grace as he shrugs off his trenchcoat and goes to work on loosening his tie.
I wanna get you back again (Mature, words: 1,176)
Tags: Post-Episode: s15e18 Despair // Canon Divergence // Castiel/Dean Winchester First Kiss
Summary: Dean breaks into the Empty to save Cas. Written for a prompt by winchester-reload on Patreon: "Come on and lay it down/I've always been with you/Here and now/Give all that's within you/Be my Savior"
“Am I wrong in assuming that our friend who has the fashion sense of a flasher wasn’t the only one in love?” Balthazar smirked.
“Huh?”
Balthazar rolled his eyes. “Bit slow on the uptake, aren’t we? You know what, don’t answer that,” he shrugged, rolling right over Dean’s indignant splutter. “I’m talking about Castiel.”
“I know!”
“So which part of my question was confusing then?”
“Fuck you, Feather Boa, the Empty is trying to push me out and you want to chat?” Dean scoffed, trying to stomp his way past him.
“Your trenchcoated boyfriend is that way,” Balthazar said dryly, pointing to his left.
Forward is just the way ahead (General Audiences, words: 1,091)
Tags: Alternate Universe - Tattoo Parlor // Baby Jack Kline // Castiel is Jack Kline's Parent // Tattoo Artist Dean Winchester // Single Parent Castiel
Summary: Tattoo artist Dean falls for client. Written for a prompt by winchester-reload on Patreon: "Cas getting tattooed by Dean (or the other way around)"
“So,” Dean began, “It’s a simple black design, correct? Four rows of symbols?”
“Yes. It’s actually a warding-slash-protection spell in Enochian, the language of Biblical angels. There’s… well, there’s a story to it,” Cas chuckled.
“Is part of that story that you were named after an angel?”
Cas’ chuckle changed into full-blown laughter. “Yes. I have to say I wasn’t expecting you to know that. In fact, all my siblings have angel names, except for Luke, but only because they wouldn’t allow my parents to officially name him Lucifer…”
Waffles or kisses (Mature, words:1,026)
Tags: Domestic Fluff // Domestic Castiel/Dean Winchester // Established Castiel/Dean Winchester // Domesticity in the Men of Letters Bunker (Supernatural)
Summary: Cas tries to make breakfast for Dean - it doesn't quite work out... Written for a prompt by winchester-reload on Patreon: "Great British Bake Off contestants with fewer clothes and lots of flour!" I have nefariously tweaked the prompt to allow me to play in the canon!verse.
“You look like one of the Great British Bake Off contestants, but with fewer clothes... and lots of flour, what the hell are you even doing?” Dean guffaws.
“Is that Dean?” A slightly tinny female voice comes from somewhere underneath the bowls, and it takes a moment for Dean to recognise it.
“Hi Jody!”
“Am I on speaker?”
“Yes,” Cas says, rolling his eyes. Dean finds that his behaviour is not unlike Miracle’s after the dog got caught chewing Sam’s 3rd pair of slippers to shreds, and the comparison draws another laugh out of him.
“Hi, Dean,” Jody says warmly. “Nice to hear your voice, though it would be even nicer if you were the one calling, rather than hijacking a conversation between Cas and I…”
Dean ducks his head as Jody’s “mom voice” tries to work its magic on him. “I’m not hijacking anything! Can someone explain why my kitchen and my… Cas are head-to-toe covered in flour?”
“I was trying to make waffles for breakfast,” Cas replies barely audibly, looking down, shoulders drooping.
With those words I'm strong enough (Mature, words: 703)
Tags: Dean Winchester Deserves to be Happy // Dean Winchester's Birthday // Established Castiel/Dean Winchester // Non-Explicit Sex // Castiel and Dean Winchester in Love // Dean Winchester Says "I Love You" // Pillow Talk // Dean Winchester Lives // fuck 15x20
Summary: It's Dean's birthday and Castiel doesn't waste a single second to wish him a happy one (Utter finale denial and slight sap below.)
“Where did you go, my love?” Cas asks, ruffling Dean’s hair, curling a longer-than-usual strand of it around his index finger.
“Thinking.”
“Uh-oh, that’s never a good thing,” Cas deadpans and Dean whacks his upper arm with very little force. “Ow.”
“Sarcastic asshole in one moment, drama queen the next,” Dean grumbles, and he fully intends to kiss it better, but before he could get around to it, he’s pushed onto his back and there’s a former angel of the Lord straddling him with a grin on his face.
Domestic (General Audiences, words: 462)
Tags: Domestic Fluff // Established Castiel/Dean Winchester // Fallen Angel Castiel // Suptober 2020
Summary: Middle-of-the-night Destiel chat. Just a lightning-quick ficlet as my first and possibly only entry to Suptober 2020. The prompt was 'domestic'
“Of all the human things, the constant need to urinate is the worst,” Castiel complained as he slid under the covers with a yawn.
“The worst?” Dean huffed in sleepy amusement. “Being shot is worse. Broken bones. A toothache…”
“They are worse, but they are temporary. Urinating is permanent. I will have to put up with it for the rest of my life.”

20/20.
This year, in hindsight, was a real write-off. I had grand plans for it, and while I ushered it in in a very low-key manner since I was recovering from the flu, I’d expected things to look up. Well, you know what they say about plans (RIP, my trip to Europe). I got very, very sick in early February, and I’m not entirely sure it wasn’t COVID. Since March, the days have been a carousel of monotony: coffee, run, work, cook, yoga, existential spiral, sleep. My Own Private Year of Rest and Relaxation, if you will. Of course, life has a way of breaking through regardless; I attended protests, completed my thesis, graduated from grad school, took a couple of road trips upstate, and celebrated the accomplishments and birthdays of friends and family from a safe social distance. It was all a bit of a blur, and not ideal circumstances to re-enter the real world, or whatever this COVID-present is.
Throughout it all, in lieu of happy hours, coffee dates, and panel discussions, I’ve turned even more to culture and cuisine to fill the the negative space on my calendar where my social life once resided. However, since a global pandemic ought not to disrupt every tradition, here’s my year-end round up of what made this terrible one slightly more tolerable.
TV
After an ascetic fall semester abstaining from TV in 2019 (save for my beloved Succession), I allowed myself to watch more as the year wore on, and especially after graduation. I caught up on some cultural blind spots by finally getting around to The Sopranos, Ramy, Search Party, and Girlfriends. I wasn’t alone in bingeing Sopranos, it absolutely lived up to the hype and then some; this Jersey Girl can’t get enough gabagool-adjacent content, pizzeria culture is my culture!
Speaking of my culture, there was also a disproportionate amount of UK and European shows in my queue. Nothing like being in social isolation and watching the horny Irish teens in Normal People brood. I’m partial to it because I share a surname with the showrunner, so I have to embrace blind loyalty even though there was, in my opinion, a Marianne problem in the casting. Speaking of charming Irish characters with limited emotional vocabularies, I belatedly discovered This Way Up a 2019 show from Aisling Bea and Sharon Horgan. And while Connell and Marianne are actually exceptional students, I found the real normal people on GBBO to bring me a bit more joy. Baking was abundantly therapeutic for me this year, and watching charming people drink loads of tea and fret over soggy bottoms was a comfort. I also discovered the Great Pottery Throw Down, and as a lifelong ceramics enthusiast, I cannot recommend it highly enough if you care about things like slips, coils, and glazing techniques. GPTD embraces wabi sabi in a way that GBBO eschews flaws in favor of perfection, and in a time of uncertainty, the former reminded me why I miss getting my hands in the mud as a coping mechanism (hence all the baking). Speaking of coping mechanisms, like everybody else with two eyes and an HBO password, I loved Michaela Cole’s I May Destroy You; though we’ve all had enough distress this year for a lifetime, watching Cole’s Arabella process her assault and search for meaning, justice, and closure was a compelling portrait of grief and purpose in the aftermath of trauma. Arabella’s creative and patient friends Kwame and Terry steal the show throughout, as they deal with their own setbacks and emotional turmoil. Where I May Destroy You provides catharsis, Ted Lasso presents British eccentricity in all its stereotypical glory. At first I was skeptical of the show’s hype on Twitter, but once I gave in it charmed me, if only for Roy Kent’s emotional trajectory and extolling the restorative powers of shortbread. For a more accurate depiction of life in London, Steve McQueen’s series Small Axe provides a visually lush and politically clear-eyed depiction of the lives of British West Indians in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Lastly, how could I get through a recap of my year in tv if I don’t mention The Crown. Normal People may have needed an intimacy coordinator, but the number of Barbours at Balmoral was the real phonographic content for me.
Turning my attention across the Channel, after the trainwreck that was Emily in Paris, I started watching a proper French show, Call My Agent! It’s truly delightful, and unlike the binge-worthy format of "ambient shows” I have been really relishing taking an hour each week to watch CMA, subtitles, cigarettes, and all.
Honorable mention: The Last Dance for its in-depth look at many notable former Chicago residents; High Fidelity for reminding me of the years in college when my brother and I would drive around listening to Beta Band; and Big Mouth.
Music
My Spotify wrapped this year was a bit odd. I don‘t think “Chromatica II into 911″ is technically a song, so it revealed other things about my listening habits this year, which turned out to remain very much stuck in the last, sonically. I listened to a lot more podcasts than new music this year, but there were some records that found their way into heavy rotation. While I listened to a lot of classics both old and new to write my thesis (Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, Prokofiev, and Bach) the soundtrack to my coursework, runs, walks, and editing was more contemporary. Standouts include:
Saint Cloud by Waxahatchee, which makes me feel like I’m breathing fresh air even when I’m stuck inside all day
La Bella Vita by Niia, which was there for me when I walked past my ex on 7th avenue (twice!) and he pretended that I didn’t exist
Fetch the Bolt Cutters by THEE Fiona Apple, because Fiona, our social distancing queen, has always been my Talmud, her songs shimmering, evolving, and living with me every year
Shore by Fleet Foxes, for the long drive to the Catskills
Women in Music, Pt. III by HAIM, because these days, these days...
Musicians have been reckoning with tumult this year as much as the rest of us, and the industry has dealt with loss on all fronts. I’d be remiss not to talk about how the passing of John Prine brought his music into my life, and McCoy Tyner, who has been a companion through good and bad over the years.
Honorable mention to: græ by Moses Sumney; The Main Thing by Real Estate; on the tender spot of every calloused moment by Ambrose Akinmusire; Punisher by Phoebe Bridgers; folklore by you know who; and songs by Adrianne Lenker.
Reading
What would this overlong blob be without a list of the best things I read this year? While I left publishing temporarily, books, the news, and newsletters still took up a majority of my attention (duh and/or doomscrolling by any other name). I can’t be comprehensive, and frankly, there are already great roundups of the best longform this year out there, so this is mostly books and praising random writers.
Last year I wrote about peak newsletter. Apparently, my prediction was a bit premature as this year saw an even bigger Substack Boom. But two new newsletters in particular have delighted me: Aminatou Sow’s Crème de la Crème and Hunter Harris’ Hung Up (her ”this one line” series is true force of chaotic good on Blue Ivy’s internet). Relatedly, Sow and Ann Friedman’s Big Friendship was gifted to me by a dear friend and another bff and I are going to read it in tandem next week.
On the “Barack Obama published a 700+ page memoir, crippling the printing industry’s supply chains” front, grad school severely hamstrung my ability to read for pleasure, but I managed to get through almost 30 books this year, some old (Master and Margarita), most new-ish (Say Nothing, Nickel Boys). Four 2020 books in particular enthralled me:
Uncanny Valley: Anna Wiener’s memoir has been buzzed about since n+1 published her essay of the same name in 2016. Her ability to see, clear-eyed, the industry for both its foibles and allure captured that era when the excess and solipsism of the Valley seemed more of a cultural quirk than the harbinger of societal schism.
Transcendent Kingdom: Yaa Gyasi’s novel about faith, family, loss, and--naturally--grad school was deeply empathetic, relatable, and moving. I think this was my favorite book of the year. Following the life of a Ghanaian family that settles in Alabama, it captured the kind of emotional ennui that comes from having one foot in the belief of childhood and one foot in the bewilderment that comes from losing faith in the aftermath of tragedy.
Vanishing Half: Similarly to Transcendent Kingdom, Brit Bennett’s novel about siblings who are separated; it’s also about the ways that colorism can be internalized and the ways chosen family can (and cannot) replace your real kin. It was a compassionate story that captured the pain of abuse and abandonment in two pages in a way that Hanya Yanagihara couldn’t do in 720.
Dessert Person: Ok, so this is a cookbook, but it’s a good read, and the recipes are approachable and delicious. After all the BA Test Kitchen chaos this summer, it’s nice we didn’t have to cancel Claire. Make the thrice baked rye cookies!!!! You will thank me later.
Honorable mention goes to: Leave The World Behind for hitting the Severance/Station Eleven dystopian apocalypse novel sweet spot; Exciting Times for reminding me why I liked Sally Rooney; and Summer by Ali Smith, which wasn’t the strongest of the seasonal quartet, but was a series I enjoyed for two years.
Podcasts
I’m saving my most enthusiastic section for last: ever since 2018, I’ve been listening to an embarrassing amount of podcasts. Moving into a studio apartment will do that to you, as will grad school, add a pandemic to that equation and there’s a lot of time to fill with what has sort of become white noise to me (or, in one case, nice white parents noise). In addition to the shows that I’ve written about before (Still Processing, Popcast, Who? Weekly, and Why is This Happening?), these are the shows I started listening to this year that fueled my parasocial fire:
You’re Wrong About: If you like history, hate patriarchy, and are a millennial, you’ll love Sarah Marshall and Michael Hobbes’ deep dives into the most notable stories of the past few decades (think Enron and Princess Diana) and also some other cultural flashpoints that briefly but memorably shaped the national discourse (think Terri Schiavo, Elian González, and the Duke Lacrosse rape case).
Home Cooking: This mini series started (and ended) during the pandemic. As someone who stress baked her way through the past nine months, Samin Nosrat and Hrishikesh Hirway’s show is filled with warmth, banter, and useful advice. Home Cooking has been a reassuring companion in the kitchen, and even though it will be a time capsule once we’re all vaccinated and close talking again, it’s still worth a listen for tips and inspiration while we’re hunkered down for the time being.
How Long Gone: I don’t really know how to explain this other than saying that media twitter broke my brain and enjoying Chris Black and Jason Stewart’s ridiculous banter is the price I pay for it.
Blank Check: Blank Check is like the GBBO of podcasts--Griffin Newman and David Sims’ enthusiasm for and encyclopedic knowledge of film, combined with their hilarious guests and inevitable cultural tangents is always a welcome distraction. Exploring a different film from a director’s oeuvre each week over the course of months, the podcast delves into careers and creative decisions with the passion of completists who want to honor the filmmaking process even when the finished products end up falling short. The Nancy Meyers and Norah Ephron series were favorites because I’d seen most of the movies, but I also have been enjoying the Robert Zemeckis episodes they’re doing right now. The possibility of Soderbergh comes up often (The Big Picture just did a nice episode about/with him), and I’d love to hear them talk about his movies or Spike Lee (or, obviously, Martin Scorsese).
Odds & Ends
If you’re still reading this, you’re a real one, so let’s get into the fun stuff. This was a horrible way to start a new decade, but at least we ended our long national nightmare. We got an excellent dumb twitter meme. I obviously made banana bread, got into home made nut butters, and baked an obscene amount of granola as I try to manifest a future where I own a Subaru Outback. Amanda Mull answered every question I had about Why [Insert Quarantine Trend] Happens. My brother started an organization that is working to eliminate food insecurity in LA. Discovering the Down Dog app allowed me to stay moderately sane, despite busting both of my knees in separate stupid falls on the criminally messed up sidewalks and streets of Philadelphia. I can’t stop burning these candles. Jim Carrey confused us all. We have a Jewish Second Gentleman! Grub Street Diets continued to spark joy. Dolly Parton remains America’s Sweetheart (and possible vaccine savior). And, last, but certainly not least: no one still knows how to pronounce X Æ A-12 Boucher-Musk.

9, 24, 26 ❤️
9. Who has made you laugh the hardest in the last week?
This is kind of a hard one to answer right now because of well quarantine so my whole circle of people I interact with is like 3 people big.
Honestly, the funniest person in my life right now is absolutely Mel.
But since I’ve been watching a lot of Netflix and Great British Bake Off, Sue and Mel never fail to make me laugh!
24. If you could be doing anything you like right now, what would it be?
You mean out in the big wide world, cause honestly, the whole quarantine is driving me a little batty. And mostly I’m just being a brat complaining about the whole quarantine life....It could be so much worse and I absolutely don’t take this lightly.
If I could be out in the world doing something fun there are two things that come to mine.... The first is going to the mountains or something and playing in the snow and watching the stars. I love stars and night skies and just looking up at them and just feeling
Tumblr media
The second would be to travel, especially Iceland. I suffer from Wanderlust so I love traveling.
Tumblr media
26. What is the best movie you have ever seen?
JURASSIC PARK!!
OK I know there are other great movies but that was literally the first movie that popped into my head. The effects and everything about that movie was way ahead of its time. It’s been over 20 years and those Dino’s hold up better than most of the CGI work that’s out thee (CATS I’m looking at you). Plus the book was good, even if they did a horrid hack job to make it a functioning movie.

Writing update 7-22-19
Publishing now!
The Girl in the Garden (Complete!): a post-Endgame fix-it fic for my series “Friendship is Unnecessary.”
It’s finished! It’s finished! You can all come out now! The angst is over! It’s safe to read it! <3
Seriously... thank you to all of you who read, commented, and cheerleaded me on this one. I’ll be honest... I second-guessed myself a lot as I was writing it just because I was curious if my “fix” would be satisfying. But seeing everyone’s reactions just gave me such a confidence boost. So thank you!
Even though this is the final fic of the story, there is definitely more to come for this series. Keep your eyes peeled August 5!
Excerpt:
Despite their disparate and in some ways downright antithetical upbringings, the trio took to life on their little farm as if they had been born to it. A month's worth of days had wicked away into all sorts of mundanities and they had hardly seemed to notice. Or even be truly bothered by their sudden change of scenery and scope. Where it had been missions and world issues and equipment requisitions, now it was dishes, and laundry, and yard work. The gutters had needed cleaning before the autumn storm season, and the kitchen faucet had started leaking after about a week. There was a shed that needed clearing out and garden beds that needed weeding. And Bucky kept staring at one corner of the field in a way that made it clear to Natasha and Steve that they could probably expect to be housing goats by this time next year.
All simple problems with simple solutions. Days were spent engaged in comfortable domesticity. Chores shared and meals taken together. They were outside when the weather was nice, especially for coffee in the morning. And evenings were lost to binging reality TV that served as little more than background noise to their quiet intimacy.
Except when they watched "The Great British Bake-off." No one was allowed to talk or distract Natasha while that was on.
***
Other “Friendship is Unnecessary” fics at various stages:
Stolen Season: Steve/Natasha vignettes during Endgame’s five year jump. I thought I would do a set of scenes, some sexy some not, of how we get from Steve and Natasha working together at the end of IW, to them halfway living apart at the end of the five year jump. It also covers some of the hunt for Ronin!Clint, Steve taking up the mantle of group therapist, and Natasha stepping into a role as a sort of hybrid of Cap and Nick Fury. Definitely a trip to angsty-town, but I promise to fix it in the end. The rough draft is FINISHED and being edited, and the word count currently sits at over 26k. I plan to start publishing August 5.
But Most of All Because They Offend Thee: Based off this post. Probably just short, upbeat, porny little one-shot of Nat being a shit and teasing Steve. Because honestly… this series needs some levity.
One of Those Things (Prologue): Since I’ve written this beast of a series completely out of order, and thus all my author notes are VERY confusing, I thought I’d put a short prologue on the front. Just a couple of short scenes to plant some seeds and give an actual starting place to this whole sprawling, intertwining mess, but also to give me a chance to address new readers so my forewords on the rest of the fics don’t seem weird. I’ve got a little more than a thousand words written on it which is probably about a third to half way.
Untitled Pre-War Steve/Bucky and Pre-Avengers Phil/Clint/Natasha: Partially a request from @crazyevildru that I’m toying with. Probably a flashback or a memory. This series really does need more Steve/Bucky, and I feel bad about it. I’m thinking of also adding a prequel/flashback of Clint/Phil/Natasha as well… maybe have the whole thing be a discussion over dinner.
Sweet and Honorable (Title pending):  Set post Civil War. Bucky insists on coming with Sam and Natasha to rescue Steve when he gets captured. This is starting to take shape in my head as a sort of work through for some of the issues that get raised in “Echo in my Soul.”
***
Other works coming soon!
Intercalation: A Ulana/Boris/Valery fix-it fic for HBO’s Chernobyl. 39k words and counting. STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT. Odds are good that this will be the next big thing coming after “Stolen Season.” And it’s looking to be very big. Nine full chapters and an epilogue. 50-60k words is a rough estimate, so I’m just past the halfway point? It’s tough to say because I’m writing it very piece-meal. It’s... challenging. An arc studded with flashbacks that all pertain to character stuff... actual honest to goodness physics lectures...
Hymn of Acxiom: Scarlet/Vision. I’m really just toying with an idea so don’t get too excited. It would be post Endgame, with Wanda helping a newly reconstructed Vision who has no memories and no personality without the Mind Stone to network all the pieces and facets of his personality. Again… I make no promises… but I have an idea.
A Maelstrom Whirls Below: I’m toying with the possibility of a sequel to my Darcy/Eddie/Venom fic “A Room for Rent in the Fourth Estate.” A rough outline is in place, and I’m starting to sketch around on a few scenes. But right now it’s just some ideas and a few zippy one-liners. It’s starting to get some traction though! Likely won’t start work in earnest until all this Endgame fix-it stuff is done, but I’m definitely letting it percolate.
Hang By Every Word: The outline for my Stucky fic is still coming along but it will be awhile yet before I start writing on it in earnest. The basic theme (and I’m sure this has been done, but fuck it) is the undoing of Bucky’s conditioning one trigger word at a time. And each trigger word locked down a memory that HYDRA deemed integral to Bucky’s personality. And of course… they all involve Steve. So I have to write things from Steve’s point of view, and all ten memories have to be written from Bucky’s point of view, and they have to tie together into a cohesive narrative. The memories are out of order, but Steve’s timeline isn’t and… It’s a challenge. I’m still largely in the brainstorming phase… writing little snippets here and there. Nothing’s solidly taking form just yet. Again… just letting it percolate.
Untitled Sarge/Melinda May fic: I know. I KNOW! Don’t give me that look. You’re watching the same show I am and you’re seeing what I’m seeing. This shit writes itself. I’ve been sketching on a few things, but I’ll probably wait until this season wraps up before I start planning in earnest. There will likely be some canon divergence, but I want to know if I’ve got to just wiggle the canon around a little or just do a full table-flip.

A banana can help but only you do the final break with your mind
As part of my nutritional guidance to support asana / pranayama practice and detoxification during this entire programme, one of the main key elements is bananas !
Luckily I have always enjoyed the experience of eating bananas & also the taste they primarily are among one of my favourite fruit. This could be due to the fact of childhood conditioning by which they are the least messy & efficient time wise fruit for my parents to give to me - nonetheless by default they have stuck with me.
The god Vishnu proclaimed of the fruit, “As the bark and leaves of the kadali tree are to be seen in its stem, so thou art the stem of the universe and all things visible to thee.”
Tumblr media
Here are some juicy facts & tips about the beauty of bananas:
Don’t mix bananas with other fruit - it must come alone
Easily Digestible
Help to improve flexibility
Great sleep for body & mind ( I can attest to this - my sleep has deepened)
A diet of only bananas for 1 week can help someone who is going through an eating disorder
Helps stillness of the mind - especially with focus & mental abilities
Little wastage - to leave the body as quickly as possible
Texture of food is similar to your organs - moves through efficiently and smoothly without any tension.
Creates growth within the body (Fructose)
Removes toxins
ANY fruits you bake or cook becomes toxic ( this includes our dear friends bananas)
Can change your brain
What you eat becomes your body, literally  ! It’s called the banana effect, which means I’m going soon to turn into a banana, I’ve already got the glossy waxy skin - so next step watch out !
A Sattva mind craves food soft, sweet, digests well, little waste & afterwards stomach feels light - bananas are like this.
If someone is suffering from mental health conditions e.g. Anxiety Depression give them only fruit for 1 month.
If you decide one day to have entertainment food ( for for pleasure / taste not for conscious nutritional benefit) then reduce the amount of bananas that you would usually intake.
Banana will never disturb you it will help you be calm & never angry in any situation. Example evening food: 6-8 bananas, big portion of spinach, 250ml water (smoothie or raw) = good sleep
Tumblr media
Checking for Ripeness: With the exception of plantains and a few select varieties, bananas should be yellow; not green. They are also sweetly aromatic when ripe. Though many shun eating bananas with brown/black spots, these mottled fruits are actually at peak sweetness and perfectly edible.
Unripe bananas are hard and light, whereas ripe bananas feel soft and heavy for their size. Additionally, the stem near the top of the banana should peel with ease. If the stem is impossible to bend, it’s likely unripe.
Ripe bananas have a soft, chewy, and almost-mushy texture. Some banana variants have a tougher texture near the core, but all should be pliable and sweet. Unripe bananas are bitter and tough, and the pulp will coat the tongue with a chalky, unpleasant taste if eaten.
THE NUTRITIONAL FACTS
Nutritional Value of Banana
As per figures in the USDA nutrient database, 100g of banana contains the following values:
89kcal .3g Fat (1% RDI) 23g Carb 2.6g Fiber (10% RDI) 1.1g Protein (2% RDI) 8.7mg Vitamin C (15% RDI) Thiamin (2% RDI) .1mg Riboflavin (4% RDI) .7mg Niacin (3% RDI) .4mg Vitamin B6 (18% RDI) 20mcg Folate (5% RDI) .3mg Pantothenic Acid (3% RDI) 27mg Magnesium (7% RDI) 22mg Phosphorous (2% RDI) 358mg Potassium (10% RDI) .1mg Copper (4% RDI) .3mg Manganese (13% RDI) 1mcg Selenium (1% RDI)
Put in perspective: 1 medium-sized banana weighs 118g.
Health Benefits of Banana
The health benefits of bananas are widely acclaimed. The book, “The Condensed Encyclopedia of Healing Foods” states the following:
Banana’s high potassium has electrolytes, which regulate heart functions, blood pressure and maintains fluid balance.
Potassium also protects the body against strokes and heart diseases.
Banana’s soluble fiber, pectin, assists with healthy bowel movements, reduces peptic ulcers, and helps lower cholesterol.
A report published in the “Journal of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry” state the following benefits
Tryptophan, a naturally occurring chemical in bananas, alleviates depression and induces relaxation
Banana’s high amount of B6 fights PMS by boosting the mood, and reduces seasonal affective disorder (SAD) symptoms by calming the nervous system
Banana’s organic iron helps stave off anemia due to its ability to bolsters hemoglobin production.
The fruit’s ideal combination of low sodium and high potassium regulates blood pressure.
When eaten regularly, students showed improved academic performance over groups who ate no fruits.
Bananas are a natural antacid, due to its ability to reduce neutralize acidity and reduce irritation of the stomach lining.
Sufferers of morning sickness may find relief by eating a banana, on account of its blood pressure stabilizing qualities.
Banana’s nutrients of B6, potassium, and magnesium help a smoker recover faster from nicotine withdrawals.
Scientific studies affirm additional benefits:
A 2012 study conducted at the Appalachian State University found that consuming bananas were as beneficial to a cyclist’s athletic performance as drinking sports beverages, thus making them a suitable snack before and after workouts.
Amazingly, a 2010 study published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry found two compounds in bananas that are as effective at preventing HIV as two synthetic anti-HIV medications.
A peer reviewed medical study published in the British Medical Journal found that increasing potassium intake by eating more bananas reduced the risk of stroke by 24 percent.
A 2008 study published by the Journal of Food Science reveals that antioxidants in bananas have neuroprotective effects against degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s.
Scientific Name: Musa acuminate Musa balbisiana Musa paradisiaca
Tumblr media
One of the bananas that you find in Kerala India is called the Nendran ( they are very tasty & slightly orange in colour inside - a different experience entirely than the more common banana that you’ll find in India)
Random Fact
Dr. Ken Hashimoto and Cleve Backster believe bananas show signs of intelligence: when they connected the fruit to a polygraph test and gave it simple math equations, it pulsed answers in the form of hums conveyed in ink peaks. These tests offered insight into other types of plant signaling, including reactions to changes in light, temperature, and even external threats such as toxins.
Also leaving you with one last personal fact - Yesterday I ate 20 bananas which is a record breaking personal best for me ( as I write this I can see another 50 bananas calling my name).
A banana is like a human being, some things agree, somethings don’t.

Submitted: Instrument of Consent : Epilogue
Her most Gloriously Gloating Instrument of Consent-anon was this day pleased to return to this most delightful document fuckery.
And lol, alack[!], I’m all gloated-out as those giddy adjective emotions were spent back in March. Thanks for remembering the submission though!
HOWEVER… there is always sweet, tickling fresh fuckery to be had in this low-rent affair. Now the Instrument of Consent has been finished off on vellum and - per the 11th of March - revealed to the public. And guess what? *delicious side-eye* The right side with Meg's symbols do not disappoint. Want to have a nice and close looksee? -Yah? -Yah? Behold the Instrument of Fuckery in high-res glory! >>>
Tumblr media
*childish squee of sheer delight*
Guys; she chose the Cali Poppy [!] and ripped the olive branch clean off the claws of the Bald Eagle from the Great Seal of the United States and made it hers! THOSE ARE HER AMERICAN ATTRIBUTES. I shit thee not.
For the rest, her transformation into the rightful Spencer/Windsor/Royal she was originally born to be is nearing completion. Oh this is so scrumptious I just can’t… But I will!
So, she copies the motherloving TUDOR ROSE! -Symbol of England (see Harry’s side: Tudor Rose: England, Thistle: Scotland, Shamrock: N.Ireland). -And does so with the remark that the rose is also the national flower of the Unites States. *descends into cascades of snorting* What in the name of freshly baked fuckery? A rose, A rose, is the national flower of the U.S. Not the freaking Tudor rose (which has an entirely different combination of flowers and history altogether)!
But sure, nice slight of hand there Megs. Your hustle is so epic, it transcends national emblems, symbols and history. Not even Kate went all out to appropriate the Tudorfrickinrose. And she was born an actual British subject. I mean… Yah.
Moving on: this probably gave her one heck of an orgasm - Harry’s Spencer Label with three escallops. I had a good cackle when that anon sent in something about a psychic in 2014 saying that Harry’s wife would have escallop-lace pattern all over. Foreboding! LOL I am now almost 80% convinced Meg will escallop herself to hell with the wedding dress and be the Spencerest Spencer that ever was!
And of course, the Welsh leek as she’s marrying an offspring of the Prince of Wales. That’s not much of a choice. The leek is essentially Harry. Heh. Hah. Hahaha. Okay. William was a leek too, but at least his was girdled with his Order of the Garter belt and the word “leek” had no connotation with “leak”. Not to mention “layers”. I also love how Meghan’s “leek” has its roots clinically cut off. (Look at Kate’s leek… Boy that sounded naughty.) LOL. An infertile/spayed leek!
And funny detail: right underneath is the Commonwealth symbol. Y'know - where they’ll be banished and inflicted upon the poor unsuspecting subjects, thereby inspiring them onto the road of Republicanism.
Just for a breath of beautiful contrast, here’s Will and Kate’s Instrument of Consent >>>
Tumblr media
No fuss. No muss. I appreciate this so, so, much more now. Personally, I also find the calligraphy on this one more clear and well-written.
Just look at the ridiculous medieval harking of the Harkle Instrument of Fuckery vs. this one. It’s like everything from their assembling the peasants to gawp at them, calling in minstrels to perform for them at a Medieval castle, Snatching babes from the arms of their mothers to be hugged by a nudie-actress… everything right down to their Instrument is like a joke 1960s Technicolor bright tights version the Monarchy. I’m just waiting on Robin Hood and his band of Merrie Men to pop up at the wedding now.
Thanks for sending this in. And thanks for the March analysis. That was spot on!
