AH thanka you ajdjkckdkda !! im actually really surprised too , im not tht familiar w precure but i know it has a lot of different serieses and a huge fanbase plus i got SO many pretty cure submissions it was insane sjkdkqhfksijekcka . but even tho they arent sweeping i still think they can win , miyuki and ruru are currently in tha leads as i type this !! and theyve already been winning rounds , i thought xinyan would win because im moar familiar with genshin than precure i guess , but miyuki won that poll !! :D

ive got a crush on someone so i've become insane again bc love makes me go batshit crazy hahaha.

i hate having crushes omg. diary , you wont believe what happened ( 😰) i started to become friends with one of my coworkers a little over two months maybe? and my pretty ass started to like them... like, they also acted like they liked me but apparently (surely) they dont bc they said so (wth... im such a great deal...) we're still friends. im still attached and delusional. i watched one of their favorite movies just so i could go to the movie theater with them to watch the second one (its dune - we are gonna watch it on monday).

it's disappointing, i thought we would be a good match. they have qualities i look for in a person and theyre a good catch.. ofc i also took note of things i didnt really like about them, but idk i guess im just too stubborn to let it go.

i think a lot about them and ive become pathetic. the usual for me. its like when i like someone, i become so available and invested that i completely drop the person i used to be just so i can be something else that is completely there for them.

Best GMs and coaches in the league ACC to you?

we can start with gms because coaching is a bit more complicated. best gms in the league is easy to look at because like, who has a good team? who has had a consistently good team? whose locker room is the most cohesive, whose coaching staff is the best? who is the best at acquiring and keeping the best players, coaches, staff, etc? and you can see that in the way teams play. 

(putting this under the cut because it got long. and i mean Long.)

so, in no particular order: kyle dubas (leafs), steve yzerman (red wings, i will explain this later), don waddell (canes), julien brisebois (lightning), joe sakic (avs), and kelly mccrimmon/george mcphee (golden knights) (god i still hate that name and also will explain this later too) are the best in the league in my opinion. honorable mention to marc bergevin, who has held onto his job much longer than he arguably should have, but still has a decent team on the ice and a decent coaching staff, although the french rule does severely handicap them (i understand why it exists but it does, it just does). 

david poile (preds) is the longest tenured gm in the league (has been the preds gm since fucking 1997, thats insane, thats legit before i was born, what the fuck), and i do genuinely think he is very good at his job, and that he is very hockey smart, but oh boy have his recent decisions been suspect as hell, and that reflects in the state of his team. doug wilson (sharks), who is the second longest tenured gm in the nhl, is in the exact same boat (the karlsson deal is a nightmare, and also did he just forget that his star core was gonna get old and retire or ??).

with dubas, waddell, brisebois, sakic, and mccrimmon/mcphee all have the same basic strengths: they draft well, they have a fundamental understanding of their team structure and how to manage public perception of the team and everything that implies, and they have two fingers on the pulse of their locker room at all times. im not going to pretend to know as much about sakic and mccrimmon/mcphee as i do the eastern gms, but it doesnt take much to figure it out. look at the avs, and their locker room, the success theyve found after being dead fucking last in the league. look at the knights and their incredible success that theyve found after literally not existing before 2017. ive talked about dubas a lot on my blog, but its incredibly easy to see that waddell and brisebois do the same shit he does, and i can do a deep dive on them if asked. bergevin has moments of brilliance, like the suzuki trade and acquiring caufield and anderson, but things like kotkaniemi’s development and their entire blue line give me a massive pause, which is why he’s not in the main list. he’s a good gm. he’s just not the best.

in regards to steve yzerman: you have to understand that this is the man that built the tampa bay lightning as we know them. this man was gm of the bolts until fucking 2018. tampa bay has been a monster in the eastern conference for years, BECAUSE of the work steve yzerman put in. his team set the franchise record for wins, and he was the first and is the only lightning gm to have won gm of the year. look up the 17-18 roster. it is, essentially, the roster that won them the cup last year. make no mistake, i think brisebois is great, and hes on the list for a reason, but the biggest part of brisebois’ success was steve yzerman’s incredible hockey mind. brisebois essentially had to sell off a fourth of his roster, and the lightning are still a top team in their division and in the league, and thats why he’s there (it is so incredibly easy to fuck shit up post cup win), but the brisebois lightning would not exist without steve yzerman, plain and simple.

what steve yzerman is doing in detroit should be watched very, very closely by every single person in the hockey world. youre fucking nuts if youre not paying attention to them, not gonna lie. the mantha trade was excellent, if really sad if you know even a bit about the wings, but the amount of draft picks steve yzerman has amassed and the way he’s using the prospects and players he already has is really fucking admirable. mike babcock left the red wings organization absolutely in tatters, and i think, honestly, it was always steve yzerman’s plan to go home to detroit and rebuild. if there is anyone who is going to strike absolute gold this draft year, it is steve yzerman. watch the red wings, i am telling you, keep a beat on detroit. they are going to be good. its not an if, its a when.

(real quick on the knights situation: mcphee was the first gm of the knights, and was also president of hockey ops at the same time, and then in 2019 mcphee said he was just gonna focus on his job as president, but we all know hes still an integral part of the way the knights are run, and he and mccrimmon have kinda been building the knight together since the beginning anyway bc mccrimmon was originally mcphee’s agm. so. thats why theyre together)

as for coaches, it’s very simple. rod brind’amour (canes), sheldon keefe (leafs, yes im biased, we’ll get into it), jared bednar (avs), joel quenneville (panthers), jon cooper (lightning), barry trotz (isles), and mike sullivan (pens).

(disclaimer: obviously coaching is done as a team, and assistants and specialist coaches and staff are all very important, but the head coaches set the tone and organize the entire machine, if you will, so im going to be talking about head coaches as if theyre the entire coaching staff. its just easier this way im sorry)

im gonna just start with the easy ones: barry trotz, mike sullivan, and jon cooper have been in the league for years. cooper is the longest tenured coach in the nhl for a reason (again, just look at the tampa bay lightning. its the gm’s job to make the coach’s life easier and the coach’s job to make the gm’s life easier, and this is one of the prime examples of it in the league. its dope as hell tbh), trotz is one of the most respected coaches in the hockey world for a reason (the caps lost something when he walked. they just did. and now the isles are absolute hell to play against and that is largely the coaching of barry trotz, you legit cannot tell me im wrong), and while mike sullivan does have his faults, i think hes found a way to please both management and the crosby-and-malkin unit, which has been really really fucking hard to do. he also led the pens to back to back cups, which you can never really uh. ignore. lmao. so theres those three.

i know less about bednar, but again, another example of the coach and gm working together to make each others’ lives easier. sakic gets bednar the players and staff he needs to make the avs better, and bednar takes those players and staff and makes them into the absolute giant they are. it wouldve been really, really easy to fuck up makar’s development, or bowen byram’s, or sam girard’s, or ryan graves’s, or jost or mackinnon or rantanen’s, but he hasn’t, and he hasn’t just given up on players like burakovsky or kadri, he’s given them new life as players and made them more successful.

joel quenneville is the reason the bl/ckh/wks were a legacy team point blank period. sure they had the talent, sure the gm drafted well, but you do not get the legacy of the chicago bl/ckh/wks without joel quenneville. they fired him on a whim and it absolutely was a mistake, and the moment the cats hired him i literally out loud said ‘oh no’ because i knew exactly what that meant for the leafs and their position in the standings. the panthers are underrated generally, yes, but they would not be the powerhouse they are this season without quenneville. just look at q’s wiki stats. he’s absolutely unbeilevable. he won the jack adams in fucking 2000, before he’d even won any of the cups with the h/wks. i cant tell you what kind of a locker room coach this guy is, but i can tell you his teams win and win convincingly, and that firing him was the biggest mistake the h/wks have made in years.

whenever i talk about coaching, i talk about rod brindamour and sheldon keefe in the same breath every single time because there is no match, and i mean none, for the love inside those locker rooms. the avs, maybe, but my point stands. keefe and brindamour fucking BLEED team spirit, it is at the center of their coaching styles and their teams are good because of it specifically. marner and matthews are good, yes, and they always have been, but they have surpassed all expectation and then some with keefe. aho, teravainen, and svechnikov are good, yes, and they always have been, but they have surpassed all expectation with brindamour. brindamour and keefe have both hashtag played the game, so they Get It, and more than that, theyve grown and changed their understanding of the game as the game itself has changed, and so they can command the authority of their teams while also connecting to them on a really deep level. i should make a note here that keefe and brindamour are incredibly, deeply hockey smart, and that they are also just technically good coaches, skimming their wiki or nhl dot com articles will tell you that, but what makes them stand out to me is that their players would fucking die for them. the leafs would go through the end boards for keefe, the canes would do the same for brindamour. travis dermott said it best when keefe got promoted: boys wanna play for him. beyond that, the management skills both brindamour and keefe have are just frankly amazing (the amount of ego keefe specifically has to manage in the leafs locker room is astounding and he does it so incredibly brilliantly). the leafs and the canes are talented, yes, and would have been talented regardless of who was coaching them. but brindamour and keefe bring both of those teams from talented to exceptional, and the true mark of an amazing coach is not only how many games their team wins, but how they win them, and the leafs and canes have been winning games this year for and because of each other, and that starts with their coaches. what makes a great coach, to me, is not the talent on the team (though that certainly helps), but how the coach manages his players no matter who they are, and how he helps those players grow not just as players as people, because no matter how much pure stats people and twitter hockey dudebros wanna deny it, that shit does affect on ice play, and it does make good players better.

so theres my analysis of the best coaches and gms of the nhl, im so sorry this is so long, oh my god. also, shoutout to @bishops--knifetrick for sending me an ask about this literally a month ago that i just never answered, sorry for that, but here i hope this is good. :)

so ive been struggling with both depression and anxiety for a while now, but both have went undiagnosed until a couple weeks ago

as of last year, the depression side of it has started to show more,,, usually the anxiety part was the strongest, but things have changed ! so now i will give u guys some tips that ive learned for coping with it, specifically for school

youre going to feel like quitting and it’s okay

lately, it’s been very hard for me to study. usually the anxiety is like omg !!! u have to !!! or else youll fail ur entire life !! and then depression is like “lol”

tbh it’s okay to give yourself a break from it. i find myself taking more breaks than usual, and theyre much longer now, but it helps. sure it takes me a little longer to get it done, but at least im giving my mental state well deserved breaks.

also, if you feel like you really just cant do it, and youre mentally exhausted, then stop. when youre in that state, it’s harder to take stuff in and it’s harder to retain information. it’s okay to push yourself a little past your limits, but dont break yourself.

exercise is your best friend

okay listen. it works.

at first, it was INSANELY HARD for me to work out, it felt like i was a giant cinder block that could not get anything done.

but i paced myself. that’s the most important thing to do. just do maybe a 15 minute walk on the treadmill, or if youre not comfortable with the gym, just walk around your house. do something that gets you out of bed and eventually youll crave more. because working out starts to make you feel good.

because of all this feelin good youll start to study better. taking in and retaining information becomes easier. it jus takes time and patience. i know it’s hard, and i know it’s easier to not exercise, but it’s worth it. i pinkie promise.

watch what you eat

this one is probably the hardest one for me to follow. ive been craving more “comfort foods” like pasta, fast food, and chocolate with soda.

chocolate and soda sound so good, don’t they? but it wont help you STUDY.

nuhnuhnuh, if you consume those kinds of things a lot in a day or in a week, it isnt gonna help your mindset which will lead to a horrible study session (and a worse lifestyle but we’re talking school here). fruits and vegetables are your real brain food, you need brain food, consume a nice big salad. give ur body some water please omg give it a bottle of water.

make your notes look cute!

i know this sounds a little ridiculous ok. but it helped me, so i thought id share it.

i had to do this BIG presentation on tapeworms like 15-20 minutes with a whole 3-4 page disease report on it. all due in the same week. my mind said: fuck that.

you know what though? the hardest part is starting. so the first thing i did was get a sheet of graph paper and looked up some fake calligraphy guides and made a cute, but disgusting title that said “Tapeworms.” and as i researched more, i kept adding little boxes and highlighting in different colors that still matched the theme, and i wrote all the research on that piece of paper.

it was glorious. and hey, i had everything i needed to do a presentation, and to write my report. it took me 2 hours to write the report and about an hour to do the presentation. idk why all those colors worked, but it did. now i do all of my notes like that because it helps me to get stuff done when things are appealing to look at.

basically, you know what im getting at

if you choose a healthier lifestyle, it will help you in school. notice how most of those tips were changing some of the bad habits that come with depression. it’s hard to do, but im in the process of doing it, and it’s helping a lot. self-discipline is a treasure, and you need it to survive this. and you can find it, it just takes time. you can do it. i know you can.

some other odd tips

sleep with a stuffed animal at night,,, it’s a comfort

get those papermate gel pens, or the bic pens and use crayola supertips as highlighters !!!

find a new book to read, it’ll keep your mind fresh

or do some puzzles! keep your brain working with sudoku or jigsaw puzzles

start somewhere. even if it’s typing 2 sentences within an hour, you have started something so good job!

make a list of things you need to do, but mark the top 3 tasks that Need to be Done by Today

don’t drink a lot of coffee. try tea instead.

1. first impression;  for ritsu— i thought he was just gonna be a basic kind brother character that would solely exist to develop mobs character. obviously i was SUPER wrong and wow i was an idiot. for alluka— i thought she looked so pretty and i loved her hair. i thought she would be annoying but. no. i love her sm

2. impression now; for ritsu— oh BOY i love this kid. hes just. i love how snarky he can be to reigen and how deadbeat he seems sometimes but deep down hes bursting with love for his family and friends. i love how he’s such a creative fighter. he’s not the most powerful esper out of the kids but hes so creative in the way he utilizes his powers its insane to me. for alluka— i love her to death. shes so kind and sweethearted. she genuinely wanted to know if everyone would be happier if she wasn’t there and that broke my heart a little. i love how she interacts with nanika and the world around her i just love her so much

3. favorite moment; for ritsu— definitely during the mob vs koyama fight where he tried to hold koyama back and told him to just take him because he didnt want to watch mob get hurt. that fucked me up and i cried a little. for alluka— when she said im so happy, i cant stop smiling and giggled and killua hugged her ... omg. ive replayed that clip so many times shes so cute :(((

4. idea for a story; for ritsu— i have abt ten thousand plot ideas in my head and they all involve shou showing up at ritsus window at ungodly hours of the night for increasingly stupid reasons. its 3am ritsus like what the fuck and shous like do u think frogs can do multiplication in their head and ritsu almost fucking kills him. for alluka— i LOVE imagining her doing activities “with” nanika, like playing minecraft and letting nanika mine ores and then switching back so she can build them a house. she puts two beds down, one for her one for nanika, and nanika is so happy abt it ;;

5. unpopular opinion; for ritsu— idk?? i dont really have any... i think my most unpopular opinion is that he looks like a filipino sometimes in certain anime frames but maybe thats me projecting. for alluka— i dont really have any either...... maybe just that shes insanely cool and she isnt some naive innocent girl like some people portray her as. i think she knows how to say the fuck word. she picked it up from killua

6. favorite relationship; for ritsu— him and shou. i just really like their dynamic. they’re opposites but they have a lot in common and i think their interactions are fucking hilarious. shou burns down ritsus house and a day later theyre friends. for alluka— her and killua obviously. i love their relationship and i love how close they are even after being seperated for so long. he looks out for her and she gives him a new purpose that helps him grow as a person. theyre amazing. best siblings

today on: i think the most about DN and my DNkids when i am away from the actual game i think its my body’s way of coping with being away from its children LMAO but eh just rambles about how pvp/pve works in my storyworld, weapons, and how lei is not op :c

.. in my DN story, or universe, or storyworld, i like to think that adventurers, though maybe skilled in fighting monsters, are mostly not that skilled in fighting against people. because the way you handle your weapons, and analyse situations, plan strategies, and use your skills greatly differs when you fight mobs vs fighting actual people. its also why my blade dancer, laythe, has an edge to him whereby he has never lost his battles and ends up killing every single person he wins against.

its like... uh.. i imagine its because adventurers are brought up and mainly trained to fight, kill and protect against monsters, not people? mind you that that is how i see DN adventurers in my storyworld. typical mmorpg setting.

the colosseum is not entirely different in that concept. you could be the no 1 pvp player (colosseum fighter), and be absolutely shit at fighting mobs. i got this idea from the game itself; how purely PVP people are sometimes ungeared bc why would they be if they only fight comp on, so if they go PVEing theyd prolly have a really hard time grasping mechs. and purely PVE people themselves would have a hard time with PVP as well. of course there still would be the occasional people who are both God in pve and pve; i still dont have a DNkid representing that category yet... hm.

to add into my “people dont rly know how to effectively fight other people!” thing, well, in my storyworld too, you CANNOT simply unsheathe your weapon in town. you’d get caught by the royal guards or idk if they have police in SH or anything and get sued. we have civilians in the town guys!! you cant just pull out your mace!! there are serious repercussions..!! if you fight in town thats even worse (esp if u use your weapons)- you can get jail time. and the highest crime of it all is if you kill a person. big no-no. just no. i got this idea from the fact that towns are a no-skill zone. :thonk: so ya people fighting isnt the norm here. you go to the colosseum for that.

heck i even thought of how people have like.. licenses to carry their weapons. like when you graduate from your base classes you go through this formal.. registration.. thingy... idk what its called im not educated enough to know what this is but yea adventurers do go through a formal system whereby they register themselves, their classes, their weapons... etcetc. like uh, bjolne. first class chaser, second class raven. weapons: scimitar, a pair of crooks, shurikens, smoke bombs, small daggers, (lists all his gazillion weapons here). and everytime they change their weapons or upgrade their gears they have to also update the... people.. in charge of that department..? they probably have a form for this or something. and i thought about how most weapons would be made in town (see: blacksmithes) and so would have their own unique trait that therefore would differentiate it as being the only one? like how guns have their serial numbers or something like that. so that if the owner shoots someone the police can track it back to them? again, not knowledgeable enough to explain it sufficiently or attach proper terms for this. but theyd use this system too because i like to think that sometimes adventurers lose their weapons in dungeons or anywhere due to being injured and having to leave immediately, or for whatever reason, so if anyone found that weapon you can trace it back to the owner. also like the gun example, if a weapon was used as a crime tool then it can also be tracked to the adventurer. its why saints (or just normal doctors) are quite important in this aspect, because well, finn, at least, knows to look for these kind of stuff when hes working with injured patients. hes trained to recognize wounds made by mobs and those made by other people, aka other adventurers, or other weapon-wielding people. if its true they were inflicted by other adventurers then he has the rights to notify the authorities for an investigation, because harming another person is illegal >:c!!! 

all in all i am just saying this because i thought about how people might think that my blade dancer, laythe is way overpowered or some gary sue because i always emphasize on the fact that he has.. never lost. hes not overpowered. its just that in my DN storyworld, the setting just so happens that people are not used to fighting other people, especially with the intent to kill. sure they have the colosseum to brawl it out, but the way i set my DN storyworld colosseum is that you absolutely cannot kill a person in there. its simply a place to fight to your heart’s contents but you cant kill or be killed there. kinda like real world boxing matches. can you punch and beat the shit outta people without getting sued? hell yes! can you kill them? bloody hell no!!

in colosseum your damage input and output is controlled by idk some unseen power and also rules (see: compensation on pvp) and though you can get quite seriously injured, you cannot die in the colosseum. if a battle gets too bad the match gets stopped. heck, i even made an entire batch of OCs to be colosseum medics (fantasia c’esthall and her party) on standby to show how much i want people to know that HELLO IN MY DN WORLD YOU CANT DIE IN THE COLOSSEUM

so if you think of how my storyworld was set, it makes sense a bit. you have laythe, who is very proficient in using his class skills for murdering people bc hes... laythe, and most unlucky adventurers who comes across him simply just doesnt know how to... counter that. people are nothing like dungeon monsters. you need to have a very specific skillset for those two entirely different things. you put a Moonlord who his entire life has been training and fighting minotaurs and suddenly hes pitted off against an insanely fast and ruthless Blade Dancer who likely stabs and strangles people for a living. that moonlord, though he might be a very strong moonlord, has no chance. he’ll literally be a moonlord because his soul would be dancing in the moon when half his head gets sliced from laythe’s chakrams.

(also i should probably mention that both laythe and raythe dont live in town. they live deep in the forest/dungeon. raythe chose the place bc its quite secluded... so theyre not really adventurers, theyre just weapon-wielding people... in a way.. neither of them have registered weapons too. illegal kids.)

- what wouldn't i do to see ANYONE on 205 in a storyline again :( it's not even that they're hammpered by the title not being on the show (for some dumbass reason) because like as we've SEEN some of 205's best storylines don't have to do with the title at all! though of course storylines around the title can ALSO be phenomenally good!! like, ANYTHING but introducing a new pop punk frontman and going "oh well ariya and tony hate them because theyre newcomers". i love gold standie, we all KNOW this, i would probably realistically stop watching if not for them, but this isn't really a story especially when it isn't going anywhere! no matter if ariya (and tony to some extent but it's really egregious with ariya) wins or loses a match, it doesn't matter or go anywhere! it's just some guys losing to some other guys and nothing happens until someone does something cool and exciting and then they get taken off 205 and to nxt.

- it's very frustrating. once mustafa got taken to the quote unquote main roster, that was it! instead of investing in the future like dbry apparently wanted (thanks sooooo much for that danny) they just take the best bits of it and stash them somewhere they can't outshine a manufactured idea of what wrestling fans will watch. 205...was at one point full of dudes left on their own to do whatever with very little oversight, and they flourished in that condition! they took things into their own hands and made it work. now it feels like...that's just not happening. nxt picks over 205 for whoever gets over and takes them. "too good for 205", or whatever. its just. god i complain about this every fuckin week i know but it really drives me insane knowing how good 205 was!!! seeing this hollow version of it really really does things to my brain. it was so good. it was so good once

- MAN!!!!!!!!! tony tapped out last week quickly, and ariya gets caught in a submission and refuses. one thing about ariya is he refuses to stop fighting. when he gets in that ring he will do whatever he can to hold out as long as possible. you have to catch him by surprise, or you have to trap him, or you have to wear him out entirely. he...he fights for his pride. he's VERY proud. he occupies a space near the bottom of the cruiserweight hierarchy, and he's very aware of it. he doesn't have much. but he has his dignity. being deprived of that dignity is something he's just not willing to bear. it's the one thing that slips past his pragmaticism, i think, because though his passion gets the best of him sometimes he plans for his own survival at all times. his dignity is something he will hold on to even when holding onto it means his survival isn't guaranteed. i just think....i just think that ariya,

- also making a note, i guess: ariya's feud with akira (one of those feuds enhanced by the pull of the title but that lay in the character of akira first and foremost) pulled on a kind of similarity between them, where they both fight to win at all costs for the sake of their pride. (im not gonna say their honor. because like. well. you know -_-) akira had a support system that eventually convinced him to put his health first in the pursuit of the title, that convinced him to tap out rather than destroy his body for a chance at glory. that's kind of the dilemma of losing by submission, i guess. you give up, or you break. it's a really vulnerable position to be in, especially if you hold on to your pride like that. seeing akira admit to that vulnerability for his own sake was really satisfying! it was a FANTASTIC character arc, even if the way that the title was used during the end was *gritting teeth* bad. it's...its a really good way to pull a character apart and force them to grow or commit. it is THE story move. i think it's interesting that tony ended up tapping almost immediately last week. he's still a pretty arrogant character, he considers his job to be "making people jealous", he's gone through some development and he's not AS boldly disrespectful, but he's still very...haughty. he'll tap, though. he's not STUPID. in a low stakes match against some nobody he has no personal stake in, he'll tap if he can't get out. it's not that big a deal. it's not personal. for ariya, EVERYTHING is personal. tony has a kind of easygoing arrogance about him, but ariya has a RESENTMENT. that's kind of why they respond differently to these things. maybe. i'm just making things up who knows. anyway i think they should kiss to spice things up just for fun really i think 205 needs more gay people on it but all wrestling needs more gay people don't you think

I try not to be cocky but ... I'm sorry, Jordan trying to vote me and flopping - while using the CHAOS SQUAD gimmick - has to be my favorite move in this whole game. I think I must have fallen asleep at some point and been transported back to Taveuni because this is feeling awfully familiar!!! Caron and Zach going to rocks for me ... honestly, icons. I love them both. I'm sad that Katie had to be sacrificed but I'm glad that the other two survived because I'm going to need them to take down Jordan!! Nothing person, Jordan, but this is not going to be Taveuni 2.0 ... I'm not going to let you comp win your way to the end. Not today, Satan. NOT TODAY!

I can't believe... that worked... I deadass went to Charlotte with information of Luke/Jordan wanting her out, and I knew that the chances of Char believing me were fairly slim since our history in KS. But I figured, and Carson did as well, that J/L/K are a trio, and although a quad with Char, that they are extremely powerful in this game and they have such a good argument to win in the final 2 due to the 7-2 slant of ulta/copa Now I feel like we have a pretty solid 3 of Char/Carson/myself vs Jordan/Luke. I'm going for immunity hard because I know that if J/L win, then they're going to idol the other person, and one of the ulta members will leave. At least in the chance that I (or even Carson/Char) win immunity, it's a 50-50 chance. I think Carson has the least likely chance of being voted by them though, so good for him! Seeing Katie being rocked out thought was sad because I enjoy her and think she's amazing, but was SO FUCKING GREAT! CARSON AND I WERE SO HYPED BECAUSE WE MADE sappy messages being like "it was great meeting you again, i love you and we should be friends once this season's over :(" SINCE IT WAS A 66.7% CHANCE ONE OF US WERE LEAVING AND ALSO, I EXPERIENCED A ROCK DRAW. I can finally die happy. I kind of wish I got rocked out, but nonetheless i'm still grateful to be here. Immunity is live tonight so that's worrying too. Overall, "Operation: Eject Luke" was partially a success since we weakened their strong trio, but there's still a lot of game to play. I haven't even thought about the final two plea yet, but I know that I was the person who got this flip to happen so... i'm on some path, at least.

Last round was WAY too wild. I was so sure we had the numbers to get Charlotte out but it turns out they were playing us, ROCKS WERE DRAWN, and Katie went home which sucks because she was a definite number for Jordan and myself so now we're outnumbered. But being outnumbered is our speciality, we've been outnumbered this entire game. I have the idol in my back pocket and I'm 100% set on using that idol on myself if I don't win the immunity challenge. If Jordan wins immunity, I play it on myself. I was going to do a video confessional but honestly I'm too tired. Somehow I seem to have been put in a position where I'm in the middle of two alliances and have to decide what I want to go with. Again. Seriously, I wasn't kidding when I said that I felt like we were back in Taveuni. I spent like 45 minutes on call with Carson and Zach last night trying to figure out what we wanted to do. There's a pretty good chance that Luke has the idol and we're pretty sure that he's not reckless enough to try to play it on Jordan and leave himself exposed. That would be an insane kind of loyalty, right? There's also the possibility that Katie was voted out with it, or that Jordan has it and he's been playing up being 'desperate' and worried this vote ... but that seemed pretty Extra even for him. If he had an idol, he'd just play it and call it a day.. right? I suppose there's the off chance that he could be trying to get both he and Luke through this vote but that just can't happen. I'm sorry, you're C*pa ... you can't seriously expect two of you to make it to Final 4. It's a miracle you've survived as long as you have! I mean .. no. Just no. I'm in this awkward position though because like ... okay, I spent an hour on call (maybe 90 minutes? IDK) with Jordan last night and I do genuinely like him as a person. As extra as he might be. Do I want to support my local Jordan Pines and save him? Eh, that's up for debate... though there's no denying that having him around certainly makes my life more interesting. Good interesting or bad interesting? Again, up for debate. Zach and Carson are the reason why I'm still here. If it weren't for my relationships with them, Jordan might have successfully voted me out and not played the fool with that Chaos Squad bullshit. AGAIN.  Turning on them to save the person who tried to vote me out last round? Even if he's promising me he'll cut Luke off at F4 and take me to F3? I'd have to be a moron. So I'm going to talk to Jordan today, and I'm going to consider my options, but the chances of me flopping are slim to none. So I know I said last round that it was every Copa for himself and that the idol was being played on me.....well....idk how sure that it is now but I could possibly be playing the idol on Jordan Pines. We're trying to convince Charlotte to vote with us but we don't think that she's going to do it so we have to think long and hard about which of us the idol is going to be played on. Eurgh...I hate that Golden Rope.

So like ideally I think the vote tonight is going to be 3-2 Jordan/Me or Jordan/Carson. Preferably Carson just because I like my track record of minimal votes, but I doubt that I will be receiving 0 votes tonight. On a similar note, there's chances that I won't even be here tomorrow. Like... my gut tells me Jordan is going to be idolled and i'll be leaving. Going out with a bang, tbh. If I leave tonight, will I be proud? Let's go down memory lane. I will be proud. Despite being inactive due to consecutive immunities, I played during the merge. I came in as a 2nd placer, and potentially am getting fifth with 2 (or 4/5) votes cast against me total. I flipped votes, survived rocks, fucked over jordan pines' immunity (OKAY THAT LAST ONE WAS NOT GOOD I FELT SHITTY AS FUCK), but nonetheless I accomplished a lot or experienced more than the average survivor game. I hope it's in my favour tonight and that I wake up to see the final four. If not, then i'm satisfied with my experience and at least I go out somewhat big (idol, that is. if someone flips ill be disappointed) and on that note, it'd be dumb for C/C to flip because.. say hi to 3rd and 4th!

so apparently jordan/luke are voting zach if theyre telling the truth to charlotte (or if charlottes telling the truth to me, you never know.) im praying + hoping ill be safe and make it to the final 4 to hopefully match or redeem myself from my previous athena placement. ive just come so far i cant lose now idk.ive put so much into this game. jordans WAY more desperate acting than luke so idk if lukell play it on jordan if he has it or whatever ahhhh

hi james! hope all is good with you. if you don't mind, i have a hockey question lmao basically i started watching hockey in 2020 and i'm So Confused about the lines thing. at the start of a game, they announce the four lines, each with 3 players, but then during the game those people are not always playing together? am i dumb and missing something? like the patrick/tk/oskar line is not an official line but sometimes they play together? im Lost. thank you for being kind <3

hello love so basically what happens is like. as the game starts, the lines change. coaches are really active participants in the games (soccer coaches honestly dont do much during games, for example, except take notes and sub occasionally) whereas hockey coaches are constantly adjusting and changing things to fit the flow of a game. theyre also responding to the other coaches’ moves, so if the other coach changes things, they have to respond with a change as well in their own lines (or dont, depending on how well those changes go down).

im sure youre realizing that hockey is a really fast, really insane sport to watch, and things can get pretty chaotic during line changes, too, with plays changing so fast and players just kinda jumping out there when their coach tells them and they see an opening. sometimes line changes just dont get completed before the play shifts. defensive pairs are a little more consistent - pre-injury, youd almost never see myers and sanheim on the ice with anyone else. before he retired, nisky and provy were stuck together like glue. lines also change from game to game; coaches actively analyze the teams theyre playing and ice the lines they think will work best against that specific line up. the lindblom-patrick-konecny line, for example, was an ‘official’ line last night, and has been one of the flyers’ most consistent so far, so they played together more consistently last night than really any other line (except maybe the fourth).

the lines matter more, i guess, when a coach is really into line-matching, like b*bcock was when he coached the leafs (i hate him so much). line-matching is essentially when a coach tries to play specific lines against each other for various reasons (ie, a shutdown line against a very high-powered offensive line), but if ur a flyers fan, dont worry about it too much. av does it when its appropriate and no other times, and usually broadcasters will mention specifically when someone is line-matching, because av isnt an obsessive coach like b*bcock was, and trusts his entire lineup to be responsible way more than b*bcock ever did.
