hey sorry I can't stop thinking about how ten years after their wrote a song about their hometown they used an interpolation of those lyrics to open the closing song of their return album. and how ten years after that (twenty years after the original) the lyrics "save your breath/half your life you've been hooked on death" were composed. Patrick is 39 now. he spent half of his life hooked on death through these lyrics and is finally letting go. Pete is 44. he doesn't lie under a blanket and think about dying anymore. Joe is 38. he is healing alongside his bandmates in the best tour they've ever done. Andy is 43. he's playing his heart on on the drums with his favorite people in his favorite band for the whole world to see and he loves it.

ever since the start of their career they've composed lyrics about death. but they don't have to do that anymore. they spent half their lives hooked on death but they can save their breaths now. they don't have to hold it in until they die. they can breathe easy.

life is a game. it's circular: we are born and we die we are born and we die. They're in that cycle of life too-- but now are focused on the part of living instead of dying.

18 years ago this lyric was penned:

they're holding onto their breaths to die-- after all, living is just a waste of death. but they can finally let go. they don't have to hold their breaths anymore and wait for death. they can save their breaths now and keep on living. they're not hooked on death anymore. breathing is no longer just something to close the gap between living and dying. living isn't a waste of death and talking isn't a waste of breath anymore.

Finally made an Iterator OC!! Say hello to Two Fibers Intertwined (Or 2FI for short)!

In an effort to solve the great problem faster, the ancients attempted to combine the processing power of two iterators in a single can, thus bringing to life Two Fibers Intertwined, a feat of mechanical and scientific genius. What the ancients didn't expect though was that the two would be more concerned with arguing over the fact that one of their neuron flies went into the other's system bus instead of what they were built for.

Following the extinction of their creators, the two decided to gain a bit of individuality, thus naming themselves "1" and "2" (they argued for several cycles who got to be "1" and who got to be "2").
