Another Gareth and Steve Idea

I’ve mentioned before my idea of step-brothers Steve and Gareth.

This is another one of those.

Steve and Gareth who— after their parents finally marry— move to Hawkins Indiana just in time for Steve’s Senior year of high school.

Steve’s not at all happy about it but he tries to keep the brooding to a minimum. His anger issues tend to spark up Gareth’s anger issues which would just make everything worse.

So Steve deals. It’s fine. It’s Gareth’s Freshman year, and he himself isn’t to happy about starting in Hawkins. But it’s whatever, not like he had any friends back in (insert wherever Tf it was they moved from).

Except when they start at Hawkins nobody knows they’re brothers. Gareth kept the Emerson last name in honor of his late mother and Steve’s last name remains Harrington from before his mom and dads divorce when he was 12.

Not to mention that they immediately run in different social circles.

Well— they try to.

Steve isn’t too good about sticking to a circle. Sometimes he’s hanging out with the “nerds” others he’s hanging out with the band kids. He’s often found talking with the cheerleaders in the halls and the jocks and popular crew at lunch. But he doesn’t seem to have any trouble talking to just about everyone.

Gareth goes on to meet Eddie and Jeff. He shares a few classes with Jeff, even though he’s in the year above. He starts running with the freaks of the school and he quickly becomes a target for bullies.

Steve doesn’t know Gareth’s being bullied until later, when he hears some of the jocks he sits with at lunch laughing about him.

Idk where I was going with this.

The jocks end up going home early in the nurses office.

Eddie and Jeff and Brian are all very skeptical about Steve and Gareth finds it hilarious to no ends.

“Steve? Who cried over a dead bird in the road literally last week?”

The guys don’t know they’re brothers. And it’s not like Gareth is keeping it from them or anything, it’s just never quite come up.

They both manage to get over half way through the year before Steve finally meets Hellfire.

The drama club room is being used the night of Hellfire so Gareth offers up his place because his parents won’t be home, only his older brother.

The guys come over and it’s Steve who opens the door.

They’re fully convinced they have the wrong house until Steve’s like “oh yeah that Dorks and Dumbasses game with Gare, right?”

And that’s when everyone finds out they’re brothers.

Steve and Gareth had no idea that they had no idea that they were brothers. They thought everyone knew???

Apparently, nobody in the school knows.

Had a weird Hollow Knight-related dream a couple days ago, so I decided to draw a major scene I remembered from it dgsgshf

#hollow knight #little ghost #hk ghost #the knight #hk hornet #hornet #alright. as of writing these tags it's been a week since the original dream so! let's see what i remember dgsgsgf #i was playing a game. which was a sequel to hollow knight ((Not silksong though)) #there was some new sort of divine infection in hallownest and hornet had asked ghost to investigate it. they ended the last one after all! #the red glowy spike gate thingy is what you jumped into to enter the 'infected' areas #though it actually led directly to a hub world type of place. which was kinda like an expanded base for the grimm troupe? #more like an entire lair instead of a camp. also some greek gods were there for some reason lmao. they had their own special rooms too #so sidenote but- new headcanon that there are grimm troupe members named ares athena artemis &... venus lmao. not aphrodite for some reason #also monomon was there?? i think??? except she was cooking????? she had a sidequest to deliver something to someone though i dunno hdgfhdgh #i remember going back to the grimm troupe lair a couple times throughout my 'playthrough' #anyway. the 'infection' this time around was more of a glitchy physical corruption thing? rather than a mind corruption. #though there were still aggressive enemies to fight. but i remember getting a map from cornifer early on and he was. probably infected #i think part of his body was covered in electricity or something? so he wasn't fully visible? but he was still acting normally #there was also a moth who was the seer but then later wasn't the seer (but was still the same moth) dghgdhf. i delivered stuff to her #that glowing white wall thing in the drawing was like a one-way gate. you could only cross it from the other side and ghost came from there #i guess things looped back up somehow i dunno ghdgfhgf #anyway. ghost's red eyes. those are significant! those happened while i was walking through a corridor. it had pools of shallow water #(shallow enough to just walk through) and also creatures that were lightseeds but red.the implication was that they were full of Blood lmao #and as i went along killing them--as one does--as i walked through the hall. they started turning the water red too #there was also narration about this as it was happening ashdgsf. specifically the narrator said the water turned red before it actually did #ghost's eyes slowly turned red too. but aside from that they were fine! since. they're the player character and the player is perfectly fin #BUT. when they encountered hornet again. she thought they were infected. and that she lost the only family she had left </3 #she didn't attack though. instead she just jumped into the red spike gate without a word. decided to try to fix everything herself #but eventually you'd encounter her again down below and she'd fight you. didn't actually get to that in the dream though #aand i'm out of tags </3 i wanted to talk about what i'd do to make this make more sense as an au or something now that i'm awake but. :c

This is becoming a Vicious Death Note AU blog now great. Might as well just put down some bulleted ideas in no particular order instead of doing this one post at a time

- Eli as Light (enough said)

- Victor as L (no real reason for this other than he's Definitely not Light and he has enough similarities with L to make it work)

- no clue who the shinigamis are. Maybe they're just the same as usual. Eli and Ryuk interactions would be funny

- For the Shinigamis maybe something to do with Marcella and June?? Maybe June likes Serena for some reason? It feels like there's something there but I haven't gotten the right formula yet

- Really not sure where to put Angie. My original thought was Misa but Serena fits that role better

- Eli still killed his father but he gets adopted into another family that doesn't die

- does this mean he gets adopted by Stell??

- considered giving Sydney the Light's little sister role and I do think that would be interesting but would be pretty weird if Misa was Serena

- Mitch is the hacker behind Victor's detective. Maybe they're both criminals who've been given the opportunity to work with the police for their freedom? Or maybe they're working there for other reasons

These are all just ideas. I'm 110% open to discussion on this. If you've seen Death Note but don't know Vicious and Vengeful, I recommend reading the books. If you've read Vicious but haven't seen Death Note, I recommend watching the anime and then also listening to the musical because it goes hard. If someone wants to take this idea, do whatever you want with it it's taken over my brain

What kind of mounts are there besides griffons? Dragons? Giant cyber horses? Cyber moose?

Dragons were ridden by Predacons in the past! They’re far rarer to come by now since most of the mountainsides are stuck with perpetually harsh winters :’’

Rumors are that few could be laying dormant in well hidden caverns, but other beasts hibernate within the mountains as well. However, seeing as that no one has quite been able to pin descriptions on just what they are and survive, travelers and resident Decepticons know it’s best to let sleeping dogs lie

Other mounts extend to equinoids, who are the most common roboids by far, others that are uncommon but not unheard of are variants of cervidaeiods, and behemoth canidaeoids and ursanokors if you’re bold

ofc this is all assuming their rider can domesticate these mechanimals!

Me again! I swear, the serotonin I get from the adventure swap au is unreal. Tetra is my absolute favorite Zelda so I'd be absolutely happy to listen to a rant about AS!Tetra 😁

The idea I have for Tetra is that she’s the youngest of many sisters (all named Zelda but going by their middle names to distinguish them). Out of her sisters she’s the furthest from the traditional “Zelda from the stories” figure, so when it was revealed that she was the holder of the Princess’s spirit, there were mixed reactions among her family.

Tetra has 3 older sisters. The eldest sister is the more traditional Zelda type, and has worked all her life to unlock the powers she was supposed to have. When it was discovered that Tetra was the one with those powers, it quickly spawned a sort of feud between the two spawning from jealousy (on her end) and frustration (mostly on Tetra’s end).

The second eldest gets overlooked literally all the time. She’s not as charismatic and extroverted as the eldest, not as cheerful and fun as the second youngest, and she’s far from the brash and confident sort that Tetra is. On one hand, she kinda likes going unnoticed. On the other hand, getting forgotten by everyone else is frustrating. She knows all sorts of gossip and is always eager to share with Tetra, who tells stories of the fights she gets into in return.

The second youngest is a ditzy and cheerful girl. She tries her best to be supportive of her little sister, but when faced with any sort of dirt, bugs, or combat she gets spooked. She’s the one who convinced their father to get Tetra a fancy suit instead of forcing her into a dress all the time.

At first Tetra didn’t like Wind much. Sure, he helped rescue her, but when he’d shown up she was already halfway through rescuing herself. Besides, he’s like two years younger than her; being an (almost) 12-year-old rescued by a 9-year-old is ridiculously embarrassing!

Over time though, the two grew to be as thick as thieves. The best part is that Wind is able and willing to put up the facade of a refined gentleman hero whenever her parents are around, and thanks to how much he’s saved her and Hyrule as a whole, they trust her with him. Naturally they run off to get into shenanigans together. If asked about Tetra’s whereabouts by anyone in the castle (except Tetra’s younger two sisters, he trusts them not to spill), he’ll cover for her and insist she was with him even if he has no idea what the hell she’s doing. He’s not stupid though, and if Tetra’s missing he’ll go do his own investigation. At this point he’s (reasonably) convinced that any little oddity in his day to day life could be the start of another adventure.

Anyway, one of the big adventures Tetra played a large part in was Hytopia. She convinced her father to let her go, since “my dear hero Link works so hard and I wanted to do something nice for his birthday! Besides, we’d get to visit Princess Styla and get wonderful outfits for the upcoming ball, wouldn’t that be great?” and it absolutely worked. She did have to bring her older sister (the second youngest, thankfully not the eldest), but still. It was great! A vacation for her, her sister, Wind, and his family.

It turned into an adventure right away, but her sister promised not to tell so long as she didn’t get hurt too badly. With that, Wind, Tetra, and Ravi set out to save Hytopia together! It was honestly really fun, even with the fighting (though Ravi was the only one who seemed opposed to the idea of fighting, mostly because he’s the cowardly sort). They left him on ranged attack duty and they got up close and personal with their enemies. They also got to dress up in fun outfits (Tetra avoiding all the dresses, Ravi preferring said dresses, and Wind not caring either way) while they fought, which was an absolute plus.

Brobot has got a lot of modifications in store for It if Hal wants the other Droid to function as his eyes for the outside.. And so what if he substitutes some of its own missing shredded code with his own?

What is the concept of agony from being aware of ones own self existence to a robot who's never experienced the ability to even properly think for its own until now?

Continuing my Felix becomes Argos early AU (which I'm currently referring to myself as the Early Bird AU not sure if I'm keeping the name officially)

Seeing as one of his main (and likely only) goals for attending DuPont is to look after Adrien, he very much steps in to remind Marinette (and potentially later on the rest of the Akuma Class), after he (Adrien) suggests they take the high road when it comes to Lila lying, that Adrien isn't her boyfriend. He is not her keeper. She doesn't have to agree with him. But fuck her if she drags his cousin under the bus because she can't get over a silly little crush and has that affect whether or not she can actually disagree with him. If she wanted to go with it, fine, but she should have laid her own terms. Like if Lila does something drastic, she's going to tell someone, an adult she can trust to do the right thing. Or if Lila doesn't stop soon, even with the more minor lies, she's going to say something. And for love of everything, actually get evidence before you say shit because you're just sounding like a bitch whenever you say Lila's lying with no proof.

Eddie- Mayor of Good Neighbor (Taken and raised by raiders after his uncle was murdered by them, ((spoiler alert he decimated those sick fucks and went out on his own)) HATES the minute men because they never came when his uncle needed them)

Max- raised in Good Neighbor (moved from diamond city when her step father abandoned her and her mother after her step brother Billy joined a raider gang and later died. Despises the minute men.)

Steve- Minute Man (born in the upper stands of diamond city, decided to leave and join the minute men after he watched mayor McDonough force out all the ghouls. Fully supports and believe in what the minute men do.)

Robin- Minute Man (lived in the lower stands of diamond city, leaves with Steve because “someone needs to watch your back dingus” likes what the minute men stand for but hates the way they go about anything they do. Wishes women were take more seriously among minute men ranks)

Lucas- raised in Sanctuary Hills (wants to be a minute man like his dad was. Meets Max and Eddie after finding salvation in Good Neighbor from a pack of feral ghouls while out on a supply run.)

Dustin- raised in Sanctuary Hills (thinks the minute men will never reach the potential they could but agrees with their ideals. Is with Lucas on the supply run ((even though Steve told both of them NOT TO FUCKING GO WITHOUT HIM OR ROBIN)) where he meets and befriends Eddie and Max.)

Nancy- Brotherhood of Steel scribe (After their parents died Nancy took Mike and joined the brotherhood ((the only stable option at the time)) doesn’t always agree with the brotherhoods methods but believes they are making a difference. For better or worse? She doesn’t know. Debates leaving when offered safety at Sanctuary Hills after helping Hopper and Will.)

Mike- Brotherhood of Steel squire (hates the brotherhood ((especially after getting to know Will and Hopper)) but refuses to leave without Nancy seeing as she’s his only living family left.)

Jonathan- Railroad agent (joined with his mother and brother to keep them both safe. Questions leaving after Will is kidnapped by the brotherhood.)

Argyle- Railroad agent (is a synth saved by the railroad who joined the cause rather than lose his memories.)

Will- railroad liaison (Kidnapped along with Hopper by the brotherhood, escapes with the help of Nancy and Mike, befriends Mike even though it’s a terrible idea.)

Joyce- Leader of the railroad (started the railroad with Murray after her late boyfriend Bob was found to be a Synth and murdered. Temporarily stepped down after her son Will was kidnapped by the brotherhood of steel.)

Murray- Co-founder/second in command of the railroad (started the railroad with Joyce after watching Alexi get reclaimed by the institute.)

Hopper- General of the Minute Men (works closely with Joyce and the railroad after he found Eleven. Kidnapped and tortured by the brotherhood of steel for information about the railroad eventually escapes alongside Will with the help of Nancy and Mike)

J0-11/Jane/Eleven: Escaped institute courser prototype (Is rescued by the railroad, decides to live in Sanctuary with Hopper instead of getting her memories erased. Is the Institutes number one priority for reclamation because of the invested interest Papa/Father ((the leader of the institute)) has in her.)

Suzy: Former Institute resident/ scientist (is the nuisance of the institute, always believed they could be doing more to help humanity. Believes that while most gen 1 and 2’s are machines, the gen 3 synths are close enough to human to make her question the institutes beliefs. Is the reason any synths escape at all. Leaves with Eleven and joins the railroad.)
