You know what my favorite thing about Sam is? Even though he and Cas butt heads and don't exactly get along, Sam usually takes Cas's side. It's hilarious.
Sam would absolutely stab Cas in the back, and THEN turn around and take his side.
Kind of like [OMITTED]
8x22:
SAM: Dude, go easy on Cas, okay. He's one of the good guys. DEAN: Dude, if anybody else – I mean anybody – pulled that kind of crap, I would stab them in their neck on principle. Why should I give him a free pass? SAM: Because it's Cas.
7x01, fresh off stabbing him in the back BTW:
SAM: Dean, look, I know you think that Cas is gone -- DEAN: It's 'cause he is. SAM: He's not! He's in there somewhere, Dean. I know it. DEAN: No, you don't. SAM: No, I don't. But, look, I was pretty far gone sometimes myself...
///
SAM (praying): Hey, Castiel. Um... Maybe this is pointless. Look... I don't know if any part of you even cares, but, um, I still think you're one of us, deep down. I mean, way, way, way off the reservation, but... Look, we still have till dawn to stop this. Let us help. Please.
On the one hand, it's easier for Sam not to take Cas's betrayal so personally. He saw the betrayal coming, so he wasn't made a fool of. And also, he's not in love with Cas, so that helps him keep the emotional pain at something of a distance. There's not the same kinda tension.
On the other, Sam is a rebellious-coded child who remains vulnerable to authority figures for much of his run, shown with how fanboy he was over the angels to loving having a past-in-common with John Winchester. He loves to see himself IN the father figure, and he loves to make excuses FOR the father figure. It's one of the most delicious things about Sam (and Lucifer, via his own words.
I think Sam is has a tendency to take the father's and the husband's "side," really, even in that one episode with James Marsters 7x05 Shut Up, Dr. Phil.
Which makes me think about how Lucifer is rebellious in terms of behavior, but says he actually always wanted to belong and please his dad:
LUCIFER from 13x13: No. No I always wanted to fit in, please a father I couldn’t please. And now I’m gonna be a father. Probably screw it up like he did.
AND I can't remember of find the episode, but I know Lucifer starts speaking of God different after he has a son on the way, suddenly cutting him a whole lot of slack.
I love Sam and Lucifer's twin struggles. So crunchy!

THIS WILL HAVE TWO PARTS!! THIS IS PART ONE!
Tumblr media
"How's your neck feeling?" Sean, Y/N's personal camera man had asked after turning on the camera and filming. As she and her best friend who is also a WWE wrestler shared a YouTube channel, they were filming an episode of Y/N experience for WrestleKingdom 17. "Well, my neck is literally killin' me so I hope that doesn't effect my match later cause if it does the blame could go on Kairi and I don't want that obviously. People tend to blame the opponent if the champion has a bad match." Y/N shrugged, picking up her phone to check the time.
"I'm gonna get freshened up and then we will be leaving soon to pick up Azalea from the airport. I showered last night so don't even try to say anything." Y/N said, pointing at the camera before Sean switched it off. "I'll be waiting in the lobby, Y/N." Sean said, heading to the door and Y/N gave a nod with a tired smile. Y/N rubbed her neck with a tired groan, still hating that retirement was in the rear view for her. But if she wanted to preserve her neck, she had no choice.
Two hours later, Y/N was standing in the airport with Sean, Mercedes and Trinity as they waited for Pamela (Bayley) and Azalea to arrive. "Are you okay? You keep rubbing your neck?" Mercedes asked in a concerned tone.
"Oh yeah I'm fine, just a bit sore." Y/N lied, glancing at Sean who already knew the truth but understood why she was keeping it a secret. Before anything else could be said, they noticed Pamela and Azalea jog over to them after grabbing their luggage. Azalea grinned and pulled Y/N into a hug, Sean getting it all on video. "I am running completely on energy drinks right now so I'm little jittery," she said.
"Oh it's alright, Iz." Y/N reassured and Azalea pulled away to greet Mercedes and Trinity. Pam smiled and pulled Y/N into a hug, "It's so good to see you again. How are you doing?" Pam asked, pulling away gently, almost as if she was trying to be careful with Y/N and that made Y/N think Izzy might have told her about her neck issues.
"I'm doing alright, thank you for asking. Just a bit exhausted but I'll be okay." Y/N said, giving Pam a reassuring smile. "I'm so sorry I won't be able to join you all, I've got lots of things I've got to do today, I really wish I could join all though. Maybe tomorrow I can join you," Y/N spoke as they had all been discussing where to eat.
"It's okay, Y/N, we understand. We'll be alright," Azalea reassured and the three women plus Sean nodded in agreement with her. "All right. Just be careful, and have fun," Y/N said, hugging Izzy goodbye before gesturing for Sean to come on with her.
"It's probably just me but am I the only one noticing how much her moods changed? Like, she's not as happy and cheerful like she's always been, plus she keeps rubbing her neck like somethings wrong," Mercedes spoke as they walked towards the exit together. Azalea sighed and stopped everyone, causing them to all turn to look at her. "Don't tell anyone this but, ever since she broke her neck, she hasn't exactly fully recovered yet," Izzy explained.
"But the doctors said she was cleared?" Trinity added in confusion.
"She was, but a few weeks ago she started getting really bad neck pain so we went to the doctors and they said something was wrong. They said she was cleared but when she started wrestling it appeared that she didn't fully heal. It's actually extremely dangerous for her to still be wrestling. It's kinda like what happened with Paige's neck. It's why she was so urgent on dropping the title to you." Pam, Mercedes and Trinity were all to shocked and concerned to even speak.
"Does that mean she's retiring?" Pam questioned.
"Look, I'm not saying that she's retiring, but it's definitely in the near future for her. She obviously doesn't want to, but it's what's best for her health." Azalea corrected with a small shrug. She was the last person who wanted Y/N to retire but Y/N's health was more important than that. At least she got to say she had the greatest match of her career with her best friend.
"That does explain why she hasn't been in the happiest of moods," Mercedes mumbled sadly.

"I called my very good friend Okada to help me out for my match yesterday but I just got off the phone with him and unfortunately he couldn't make it. But, as we are already here, I figured why not just train with Sean," Y/N said and Sean smiled. "It's gonna be a pain but I could use the training," Sean agreed and Y/N chuckled and nodded in agreement.
"It's supposed to be closed as of now but I was given a key a long time ago in case I ever needed it. So, let's go inside." Y/N smiled as she unlocked the doors and entered the building. As they walked in it appeared the lights were already on so someone must've already been there. "Oh it looks like someone's already here," Y/N said quietly.
They could hear voices and Y/N couldn't help but find those very familiar. She could pick out El Phantasmo and Jay White's voice anywhere. "I knew I heard my boys," Y/N grinned as the two men both turned to look at her, immediately growing smiles once they saw her. "No way, is it the one and only Bullet Club Princess?" ELP aka Riley grinned and slid out of the ring, walking towards Y/N with open arms.
"Aye, former BC Princess. Not anymore." Y/N playfully corrected as she ran into his open arms. "Oh come on, you'll always be the BC Princess." Riley playfully nudged her once they pulled away and he shook Sean's hand with a polite grin.
Jay sat on the ring, a small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he watched Y/N walk towards him. "Still a cocky lil shit, aren't you? Not gonna come and greet me like a gentleman?" Y/N joked, getting Jay to crack a small laugh as he jumped down and let Y/N bring him into a small hug. "Nice to see you again, princess." Jay mumbled into her hair causing her to mentally freak out but she held her usual chill composure.
"Mmm, nice to see you too, Jamie." Y/N pulled away and Jay threw her arm around her, pulling her into his side like it was a normal interaction. "You know you can still call me Jay, right?" Jay raised his brows, still obviously confused on why she used his real name. "Nah, I like Jamie," Y/N winked, flashing a smile, he shook his head in amusement and didn't argue with that.
"So, what are you guys doing here anyways?" Riley questioned, choosing not to tease Jay for his crush on Y/N.
"I originally was suppose to train with Okada this morning to prepare for my match but he got busy so he had cancel. Figured I'd just train with Sean," Y/N informed, crossing her arms over her chest. Sean nodded, confirming her statement as he held the camera. "You can join us then, Riley was helping me train for my match with Okada anyways." Jay offered, Riley also agreeing with him.
"Sounds good." Y/N accepted.
Sean and Riley trained in one ring as Jay and Y/N were training together in the other ring. Riley was helping Sean improve in his wrestling so that was a huge help for him. "I haven't figured out how I wanted the match to finish, you know? All I know is that I really want to pay a tribute to Kenny and Azalea in the match, but I already figured that out," Y/N said to Jay as they discussed how she wanted her match to go with Kairi Sane.
Jay licked the front of his teeth, wondering if Y/N was still involved with Kenny. "Oh, uh are you and Kenny still, ya know?" Y/N's eyes widened slightly, knowing where he was going with that and immediately shook her head. "Definitely not, we ended things in like early 2019. We're still extremely good friends though, he's always been one of my biggest supporters." Y/N pursed her lips, silently wondering why Jay asked about Kenny. "Why?" She questioned.
"Just wondering," Jay shrugged it off but Y/N was still a bit suspicious.
"Well, we should continue now, I want to be at the dome early," Y/N said, getting back on track. "Yeah of course." Y/N stood up from sitting on the middle rope, "Can I borrow the blade runner?"
"I'm not sure, you technically never joined my bullet club," Jay pursed his lips sarcastically and Y/N hit his shoulder playfully with a laugh. "You turned on Kenny, how could I possibly join your club without it seeming like I'm betraying him?" Y/N pointed out as she circled him.
"Easy. You could've just chose me. I would've treat you better anyways." Jay said, adding a little truth to his words. Y/N glanced down in thought, thinking into what he said.
"All right, let's get back to it."
》* 。 • ˚ ˚ ˛ ˚ ˛ • 。* 。° 。* 。 • ˚《
"Oh my god, your hair looks so beautiful, what the fuck," Y/N spoke as she entered the room Mercedes was in. "You like it?" Mercedes smiled, pulling Y/N into a side hug but being careful with her neck. "I love it. It looks amazing on you. It's like you burning the blue hair, putting that in your past and opening a new chapter as Mercedes, yeah?" Y/N asked. "Dude you got it perfectly. Yes, that's exactly what it means."
"I'm gonna get goin' but you call me if you need anything sweets." Y/N said, patting Mercedes's shoulder. "I will, thank you."
Y/N walked out of the room with her suitcase, going towards her personal locker room to drop her suitcase and bags off. "All right, now we are going to go search for the lovely Azalea who I'm sure is around here somewhere. She said she was by the ring since we last texted." Alice spoke, her hands tucked into her pockets of her joggers as Sean followed her with the camera.
"It's so amazing being here again. All the memories I've had here is just so surreal to me. It's gonna really hurt when I perform here for the last time. I'm just glad it's gonna be against Kairi. She's one of my greatest friends." Y/N and Sean both walked down to the ring, immediately did she spot Azalea talking with surprisingly, Jay White. She knew they never even met each other so that was kinda a shock to her seeing them in a deep conversation.
As Y/N walked up to them, Jay turned to look at her, "Why didn't you tell me you're retiring?"
Y/N blinked, being caught off guard with the sudden question. Y/N looked at Azalea with accusing eyes, "I'm sorry babe, but he was asking me why you always looked like you were in pain when you trained. He's really convincing, I'm sorry." Azalea frowned, suddenly feeling bad for telling Jay what was going on when Y/N trusted her with that information.
Y/N sighed, running a hand down her face exhaustion. "I'm not retiring, okay? We don't even know that for sure. Doctors just said that my wrestling days are limited if it keeps getting worse," Y/N explained. "Then why are you wrestling tonight if you know it can end your career? Are you insane, Y/N? Just drop the title before you permanently damage your neck." Jay argued, not understanding why she wasn't listening to everyone's warnings.
"I can't!" Y/N snapped, then taking a few breaths to calm herself down before she got even more upset and said something she might regret. "This is my legacy, Jay. This is my story and if I'm gonna go out, it's gonna be on my terms. Whether it ends tonight or next month, it's on my terms. You can hate me for it all you want, but it's my decision. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got to go see my friends cause it might be a while before we see each other again." Y/N plastered on a fake smile and walked past them to go find Okada.
Jay ran a hand down his hair, frustrated but also hurt that Y/N wasn't at least making an effort to preserve her career. "You're in love with her, aren't you?" Izzy tilted her head curiously, making Jay immediately turn to look at her. "Where did you get that idea from?" Jay scoffed in denial.
"Oh I don't know, maybe the fact that you seem to care about her more than you're letting on. And, I've watched her old YouTube videos of her backstage with the Bullet Club and I couldn't help but notice everytime she was with Kenny, you always held that jealous glint in your eyes. She even told me how you tried to convince her to join your bullet club. It was so insanely obvious. You're kinda lucky she's a little oblivious." Azalea smiled sarcastically as Jay rolled his eyes.
"Fine, maybe you're right. But, don't tell her, I plan on telling her myself, tonight." Jay stuck out his hand so they could shake on it, it took her a moment to think before ultimately shaking his hand in agreement.
》* 。 • ˚ ˚ ˛ ˚ ˛ • 。* 。° 。* 。 • ˚《
Y/N paced back and forth nervously, her title strapped around her waist as she watched the TV where Kairi Sane was making her entrance. "You can do this, just go out there, don't fall, don't be stiff, show everyone why you're the best. Do what you do best, win, wrestle and entertain." Y/N spoke to herself, trying her hardest to motivate herself but she was failing miserably, growing more anxious by the second.
"Hey, Y/N. Are you okay?" Jay walked up to them and Sean took it as a sign to let the two talk alone.
"Do I honestly look okay?" Y/N deadpanned then frowned, not liking when she came off as rude. "I'm sorry, that was rude. I'm just freaking out, or panicking or something, I don't know," Y/N rambled, breathing heavily, she leaned on the wall behind her.
"Shit, okay I was gonna do this later," Jay mumbled to himself before placing his hands on her shoulders and her hands went up to his arms. "What are you?-" Jay cut her off, pressing his lips gently against hers, in the process, distracting her from all her previous thoughts. Y/N practically melted into the kiss, immediately placing her hands on his, she kissed back. Hearing her music begin to play, they both pulled away and before she could get a word out, one of the workers dragged her away and up the stairs.
"What happened to waiting till after the show?" Jay jumped slighly hearing Azalea's voice, turning around he noticed her leaning against the wall with crossed arms. "I was trying to calm her down," Jay defended.
"Dude, you realized that literally could destroy her entire focus on the match? You better hope nothing bad happens, if it does, I'm kicking your ass," Azalea stated before walking off to go watch the match with Trinity and Pamela in the stands where they couldn't be caught on any cameras as it went against hers and Pam's contracts with the WWE.
"Shit," Jay muttered, running a hand down his hair.
》* 。 • ˚ ˚ ˛ ˚ ˛ • 。* 。° 。* 。 • ˚《
Y/N took a deep breath, trying to get a breath in as she just superplexed Kairi off the top rope and immediately performed a Blade Runner after. The match was almost over and it was one hell of a match. Kairi was killing it and some even thought she might actually just pull a win over the champion. But, Y/N wasn't gonna let that happen. She had to admit, the kiss was a little distracting. It was just so sudden and unexpected. She didn't even think Jay was single after seeing those rumors about him with a new girlfriend.
Y/N crawled over to Kairi, attempting a cover but Kairi kicked out at two. "Fuck! Just give up!" Y/N leaned against the ropes, running a hand over her hair in frustration.
Kairi stood up tiredly and immediately ran and knee'd Y/N before she could block it. She dragged Y/N to the turnbuckles and began to climb up the rope. The crowd automatically assumed it was over for Y/N the minute Kairi hit the insane elbow. But, as Kairi performed it, Y/N got her knees up at the last second. Kairi groaned and Y/N stood up and jumped onto the top rope, performing her finisher, the Royalty Deathdrop. It was basically a backflip off the top rope into a DDT.
She hit it perfectly. "ONE..TWO..THREE!" Y/N grinned and tiredly crawled to the bottom rope, attempting to pull herself up as they announced her name as the winner. The official handed her the title and raised her hand before she immediately collapsed back onto the mat, barely able to hold herself up. Her body was battered and bruised so it was surprising that she wasn't even unconscious.
Kairi stood up and immediately went towards Y/N, extending her hand in respect towards her competitor. The crowd watched in anticipation, waiting to see if Y/N would accept her hand. Y/N hesitantly took Kairi's hand and the crowd applaused. Kairi pulled the taller woman up and raised her hand, showing a sign of respect for the retaining champion.
All until Y/N's hand dropped, the music hit. The music of Mercedes Moné.
The crowd cheered, obviously most knowing who she was. Y/N sat down on the middle turnbuckle, watching as Mercedes ascended down the entrance ramp. Kairi stood near Y/N as they watched Mercedes enter the ring. A whole new look on her, she was almost unrecognizable if you seen her as Sasha Banks in WWE. This was an entirely different woman and she wasn't here to play games. She was here to make history, money and win championships.
Kairi looked at Y/N silently asking if she wanted her to stay. Y/N shook her head, waving her off and Kairi stepped out of the ring, letting Y/N handle her business. Y/N stepped up, not liking the disrespect of Mercedes. She didn't have to say anything, she just raised her IWGP Women's Championship right in the face of Mercedes, not backing down to her.
Mercedes stuck her hand out, Y/N looking at it in suspicion. She took it hesitantly and Mercedes smiled as they shook hands. A show of respect. Y/N went to pull her hand away but Mercedes held it tightly so she couldn't let go. She pulled Y/N in, making her drop the title and performed what looked to be a gory bomb only it was straight into a DDT. Y/N groaned as she hit the mat, selling it perfectly so it made Mercedes look like a huge threat.
Mercedes walked over to the title and slowly picked it up, then dropped it onto Y/N's barely conscious body. "Give me a mic," Mercedes stuck her hand out, leaning between the ropes, they quickly handed her a microphone and she slowly made her way back to Y/N.
"Y/N, awee, congratulations on making history tonight, once again. I also know a thing or two about making history," Mercedes grinned, the crowd cheering for her. "I am here, in New Japan and Stardom to make some more. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm the standard. The conversation. The blueprint, and the CEO of this women's division."
Mercedes kneeled down next to Y/N's body, the champion not even attempting to get up or open her eyes. "So Y/N-San, enjoy your IWGP Women's Championship while you can. Because at Battle in the Valley at San José. Imma leave you bankrupt bitch. And you can bank on Moné." Mercedes took the championship and lifted it up, throwing the mic to the side as her music played.
Y/N rolled out of the ring once Mercedes made her way out. She grabbed her championship and let one of the officials help her walk to the back. She held an ice pack against her neck, as Azalea rushed up towards her and Sean obviously shortly behind with the camera. "I need to lay down," Y/N spoke, letting Azalea help her walk towards her locker room rather than run to do the press conference. They could hold it back a few minutes for Y/N like they always did.
"I love you, but you need to chill out with these extreme matches. If this next one is your last, don't hurt yourself worse trying to prove yourself. You had thousands of people watching you tonight, I'm pretty damn sure they know you're the best." Azalea said, handing the title to Sean for him to hold it until they got to the room.
"I know, I'm sorry. I'll take it down a notch next time. Sean, you can turn off the camera, I don't wanna film right now." Y/N leaned her head on Azalea's shoulder in exhaustion, not seeing that Jay was standing outside her locker room door. But, Azalea and Sean noticed him.
"I'm gonna go get the ice, lots of ice," Sean excused himself, leaving Azalea to deal with that by herself.
"I need to unlock the door so I need you to hold yourself up for a few seconds, okay?" Azalea slowly moved Y/N's arm from her shoulder and instead of Y/N supporting herself, Jay immediately went to hold her up. Y/N looked at him and sighed, watching tiredly as Azalea hurriedly unlocked the door to the locker room.
"You're probably gonna need a cat scan," Azalea mumbled, opening the door and Jay helped Y/N inside. Azalea switched on the lights as Jay helped Y/N lay down on the couch. "After the amount of neck bumps she took, I'm surprised she didn't break it," Jay added. Azalea pursed her lips, agreeing with him and Y/N tiredly hit his shoulder. "Don't be an ass. I had to make it look like it was killing me," Y/N muttered.
"I'm pretty sure it was killing you considering you can barely stand on your own," Azalea deadpanned.
Y/N rolled her eyes and moved the ice pack from her neck to her forehead. "The match looked good though, yeah?" Despite her current situation, she still loved wrestling and absolutely loved being out there in front of an audience. Nothing could ever take away her love and passion for the sport. Retirement or not. She would always appreciate it.
"You never had one bad match and it hasn't changed yet," Jay spoke before Azalea could respond to her friend. As Y/N went to say something, the door opened and in walked Sean with the ice packs and Mercedes. "Got the ice, and a visitor," Sean tossed the ice to Izzy who caught it with ease before he grabbed the camera and turned it back on.
"Hey, I didn't see you backstage so I got worried. And I noticed you could barely walk so I wanted to come check on you." Mercedes kneeled down next to the couch as Jay moved out of the way for her. Y/N sat up slowly, still trying to control her breathing. "You didn't have to, but I appreciate it. How are you feeling?" Y/N smiled, taking Mercedes's hands in her own.
"I feel like I'm on top of the world. This is all I've ever wanted and honestly, I'm still processing it all. In a way, I finally feel free, ya know?" Mercedes smiled as she spoke, still running on adrenaline from her debut. It completely took her mind off the fact that she was possibly gonna be the one to retire Y/N at Battle in the Valley.
"I understand completely. I'm literally so proud of you, I could cry. You deserve to live your dream, you deserve all of this. Don't let anyone tell you different. You belong here." Y/N stated, being filled with nothing but joy for Mercedes. She couldn't have been more proud of her.
Mercedes smiled, feeling a tear fall that Y/N wiped away. "Thank you so much. For everything." Mercedes said, blinking away her tears.
"You don't have to thank me. Just show me who Mercedes Moné is, and that's all I need." Mercedes chuckled and nodded, being gentle as she hugged Y/N. "I can't wait to beat you," Mercedes teased, pulling away with a smirk.
"All right, don't get all cocky now." Y/N scoffed lightly in a joking manner.
Mercedes snickered and stood back up, now turning her attention to Jay as Y/N leaned forward for Azalea to press the ice against her bag. "I don't think we've met yet. I'm Mercedes, it's nice to meet you," Mercedes smiled humbly as she stuck out her hand.
"Jay, it's nice to meet you as well. I've heard great things," Jay shook her hand gently with a warm smile.
"Well, I should get going. Imma let you rest and we'll meet up tomorrow?" Mercedes said towards Y/N. "Sure thing," Y/N nodded. Mercedes and Azalea shared a hug before she exited the locker room.
"You two have five minutes, then you need to do the conference and we can go back to the hotel or finish watching the show. I'm sure you don't wanna miss Kenny and Will's match." Azalea said before grabbing Sean and exiting the room to let the two discuss the elephant in the room.
Y/N cleared her throat, and patted her hand on the couch, telling Jay to sit down. His sigh was barely heard as he took a seat next to the woman he'd been in love with since their first interaction. "I'm sorry I kissed you. I definitely shouldn't have done that without your consent, that was extremely out of line," he began, causing Y/N to turn her body towards him, groaning at the pain in the process. She had never been so sore in her life. That was another reminder that she had to hang up the boots sooner than later.
"I'm not mad that you kissed me, Jamie." Y/N cut him off, using her left hand to move his face to look at her. "You're not?" Jay feigned confusion, being so sure that she was upset with him. After all, she hadn't spoken to him until Azalea left, which kinda forced them to have to talk.
"No. I'm mad that you didn't do it sooner," Y/N said, catching Jay off guard completely. Jay blinked, not sure if he heard that right or if his mind was playing games on him. "I can't tell if you're serious or not. Can you repeat that again?" He asked, being serious but not at the same time.
Y/N chuckled but stopped when she felt the pain in her stomach. "Look, I've always liked you, from the minute we met. But I wasn't in love with you," Jay's face fell hearing that but she placed her hand on his, silently telling him to keep listening. "I was so obsessed with thinking Kenny was the one for me because I genuinely never experienced love before him. I told myself so many times that he was the person I've always wanted when in reality, he wasn't at all."
"Then when we broke up and a month later I came back to Japan, you and I met up and I finally realized what was in front of my face the entire time. You always cared about me, and checked in after every match and that's something nobody else even bothered to do. You treated me exactly like I thought Kenny would. And I'm so sorry for realizing that way too late. I've always loved you, and when I found out you had a girlfriend, it was too late to tell you that I was in love with you."
Y/N wiped a tear that fell from her cheek, never being a fan of crying even if it was a happy tear. Jay furrowed his brows in confusion, processing what she just said, "I'm sorry, did you say girlfriend?" He questioned.
"Yeah, why? There was reports on Twitter that you had some secret girlfriend or whatever," Y/N shrugged. Jay couldn't help but chuckle, making Y/N raise her brows, not knowing if she should be mad or not. "Y/N, those were fake. That girl I was with was not my girlfriend. Riley and Will tricked me into going out with her. They said it was a guys night and when I show up, they're not even there and she just got caught in the middle of their jokes so I felt bad and just had dinner with her anyways. I don't even remember her name." Jay said, sighing when he realized he could've had Y/N much sooner.
"Oh." Was all she could say.
Jay noted her embarrassment and gave a squeeze to her hand, "I really wish I could go back in time and tell you how much I loved you way sooner. I could've had you this whole time."
"Well, there's no need to wait anymore," Y/N spoke softly, hoping he got the hint. Jay leaned closer towards her, careful with her body as of how sore she definitely was. "Can I kiss you, Y/N?" Y/N smiled and nodded, "Of course you can, Jay," letting him press his lips softly against hers. The kiss wasn't rushed like the first one. It was perfect. It was...everything.
Jay pulled away with a cheesy smile, "You called me Jay," he pointed out. Y/N rolled her eyes and playfully pushed him back, "Shut up, Jamie," she scoffed. Jay grinned and pulled her onto his lap, mumbling small sorrys when she winced. "I love you, Y/N," he spoke softly.
"I love you too, Jamie," Y/N pressed a small peck to his lips.

Annabeth in PJO episode 3
Ok because a few people requested, here are the thoughts I had on Annabeth's characterization in episode three. I wrote it out and it's literally a whole essay so I'm putting it under a cut lolol also spoiler warning for discussion of themes in Mark of Athena, but I'll put another warning before that part.
I was watching and thinking about how in a way Annabeth is the main character of this episode. In the beginning when they stop to get snacks, we see her on her own in the gas station store (which I'd say is somewhat notable considering that Percy is the sole narrator of the books, meaning we only ever get to see what he sees). We hear Grover talk about monsters hunting demigods while we simultaneously see Annabeth pursued by the fury. This establishes an image of what her life was like before camp. We imagine the type of monsters that have sabotaged her attempts at normalcy. She's just a kid buying snacks!! And she is so like Percy in the way her normal life has been disrupted over and over.
Later in the woods, when Percy suggests calling her mom, the way she says "excuse me?" isn't just annoyed at his stupidity. You can hear the actual emotional injury in her delivery. Like the equivalent of a typical kid with a typical absent parent receiving a jab about it. Percy assumes that they're close because Athena gifted Annabeth the Yankees cap. But the fact that they're not makes this look a lot more like a deadbeat parent throwing gifts at their child thinking that makes up for their absence. Just enough to maintain Annabeth's hope for her mother's love and approval.
"You're loyal to your mother?" "Yes!" "You love her?" "Yes! Of course I do!" She is still captivated by the idea of having that motherly love. That perfect family.
And then Medusa is telling her story, and the writers give us explicit permission to understand this as describing Annabeth's story. Annabeth, like Medusa, is trying so hard to receive love and to feel like she is enough, fighting for Athena's approval. And then the son of Poseidon, like Medusa describes Poseidon himself (purely going off of what medusa says in this story, rather than the myth itself, for narrative purposes), comes along and promises her that love, shows her that affection. And she starts to think maybe she is enough! She is lovable! Annabeth starts to heal from the wounds caused by her abandonment.
(Mark of Athena spoilers btw)
And then Athena, who she spent so long fighting for the approval of and who was the one who caused those wounds that Percy helped her recover from, comes back and says Annabeth is a disgrace and a failure, just like she did with Medusa.
Poseidon also abandons Medusa in her story. His promises of love her empty, and Medusa is left alone, with nothing. Double abandonment whammy. So like we can imagine if we apply this to Annabeth, the amount of apprehension and fear about letting Percy in and believing that she is lovable, because what if it's a lie?
Slight Medusa aside: she only begins to act "monstrously" when she tries to manipulate Percy in the kitchen, once again drawing a parallel between herself and another woman. But this time it's Sally Jackson who she doesn't even know. She tries to turn Percy against Annabeth because she thinks Annabeth will turn against her. She sees herself in Annabeth and at the same time is redirecting her own pain at her.
"We are not our parents until we choose to be, and you two have chosen." As if humans are static. As if we aren't a continual work in progress. Always growing and changing. As if we don't learn our lessons in our own time.
(Tagging the people who requested this! Hope you enjoyed my whole ass ted talk!!)

hey gang what time is it its time for another joe trohman podcast. this actually came out like a month ago but i missed it until isa linked it to me and because i like doing these heres a highlights reel
the host says he appreciates that joe opened the book with the question of whether or not satan fucked his wife to which joe replies "well you know, when you have kids, sometimes you wonder that. you truly wonder what are these demons. i love my children btw they're phenomenal."
sometimes it does get tiring playing the same songs over and over. joe says that "thnks fr th mmrs" has a really good energy and tempo that keeps it exciting to play live
he talks about playing a really short iheartradio christmas show pre-pandemic and nobody in the crowd knew "sugar we're goin down" since they were only familiar with the more recent hits like "centuries" and "uma thurman" and joe said that it made him fall in love with sugar all over again in a weird way ldjfldkfd
he laments recently getting the chance to see wu-tang, nas, and busta rhymes at the hollywood bowl but he didn't go
his love language is giving gifts! he got his brother a custom drum set (which his mom attempted to throw out)
he reiterates that when writing the book he didn't want to be mean to any of his bandmates cause he likes them and thats not what the book is about! the host makes a joke: "like how you guys had that threesome with simple plan...i understand, you don't wanna get into that!" joe is offended that he clearly doesn't know how many guys are in simple plan. "there's more than three guys in there! the orgy was far larger than you give it credit!"
he doesnt remember any other names that the band could have been called but he does think fall out boy is a pretty terrible name for a band. "i can't believe i'm in a band called fall out boy."
discussions of the band origin and how joe funded it with his bar mitzvah money ("fall out boy, funded by judaism!") but when asked about financial gains from the band he says they all split everything evenly and it's one of the things that's helped them last this long
talking about scott ian and the damned things and he talks about how managing a supergroup is like herding cats because everyone is so busy with their respective groups. he says he'd LOVE to do a third damned things record though!
he talks about how weird it was to have this boy band aspect to them when they were at their peak pre-hiatus, because they were all hardcore kids and punk kids.
he recalls that around this time patrick asked their manager, with visible concern, "are we...the nsync to panic at the disco's backstreet boys?"
he's glad that they've outgrown that and kept pushing forward and looking forward, and by now they're no longer a boy band. "we're a man band!"
he thinks it's kind of neat to see the emo movement of the aughts become nostalgic and cool now ("it was not fucking cool when we were doing it [...] we stuck around for long enough to Not Be Lame"), but it's a big thing for fall out boy that they do not want to be a nostalgia act and they want to keep making new albums.
the host semi-jokingly says "so you and panic at the disco are not gonna go out on tour, is what you're saying." joe says "no" very flatly and i lose my shit.
he denies that fall out boy is working on any specific new music. he says they're just piecing things together organically and that no real album has coalesced. (note: this episode aired 11/12, ~2 weeks before the fob8 tribune ad)
he talks a bit about working with brian posehn on the axe and how much he loved doing it! he calls the whole story a metaphor for dealing with pain and trauma and the different ways there are to confront that stuff. he said the axe is coming out as a trade "soon" so people who don't have a subscription to heavy metal can read it
his first concert was tom petty and the heartbreakers when he was 10 or 11
he says the two things that matter most for a band's live show are the drummer and the singer. he then proceeds to be extremely sweet about patrick and andy.
"patrick, he's incredible, he's so gifted, and he's worked so hard with his voice lessons and figuring out how to sing from the diaphragm properly, and he really knows how to work through when he's sick and having real issues, so he's quite a trooper."
"and andy is just a great drummer. when he thinks he's had a bad day i'm like...yeah. sure. i don't think you know what that is."
he did not get laid in high school. first time was in a shared tour bus, listening to testament (a thrash metal band), when he was 19. (they never saw each other again)
since testament was the soundtrack the host asks if he ever gets a reaction whenever joe hears chuck billy (testament's lead vocalist). joe says without missing a beat, "when i see him i do, that's for sure."
he is an avid bowler. he has a wristguard and a spare ball and he used to take lessons. he calls it great stress relief!

Cedric and Wormwood's childhood together
In the "Substitute Cedric", at the end of the episode, Cedric talks about teaching the royal prep students a spell that can turn rocks into ravens. The fandom also noticed this, because somehow it may be implying that Wormwood was a rock before. And I also believe that this is true, or else they wouldn't have put that in the episode because it would cause misinterpretation of their characters- there's a huge chance of this being true.
Cedric knows the spell, which means that he did it before. The only raven we have in the show is Wormwood, who happens to be his familiar. So like. Okay.
CEDRIC DID THE SPELL AND MADE WORMWOOD. It's not like my first headcanon: that they met when Cedric was young and still at Hexley Hall, and someone in the school staff (because it's an advenced spell, Cedric can't cast it) did a spell who would guarantee Wormy's life while Cedric is still alive (or else he would already be dead by now, he's a bird, there needs to have a spell somewhere) because he's his familiar now. I believe that everyone needed to find a creature to be their familiar at some point at Hexley Hall, in the first years (because having an animal assistant is necessary). But at first I was thinking like "no, okay, Cedric found Wormwood somewhere and brought him home, they did the spell and now he's his familiar" but some days later I watched that episode and found out about the "turning rocks into ravens spell"
You know what this means? Cedric literally made Wormwood. He gave him life after a rock. So his betrayal gets more painful and has a whole different meaning.
I guess we can compare this situation to a son turning against his father, somehow. I don't believe that Wormwood sees him as a father, actually very from that. He just thinks that he was a middle schooler who cast a spell on a rock and since then Wormwood is his familiar, that's all. They grew up together, more like brothers or "best (worst) friends" I would say. @shychick-52 has a good character analysis of him in her fic "The Master Wand", that explains that Wormwood's anger comes from the fact that he was just as miserable as Cedric, but Cedric got help. He got out of the dark, but he didn't held Wormwoods hand (wing) to pull him from there too. While he was getting better and being influenced by Sofia to be a good person, the same didn't happened to Wormwood, who was so deep in his hatred, insecurity (not getting other people's approval and believing that just being nice wasn't enough), revenge that he didn't change his mind. While Cedric had Sofia to help him, Wormwood had no one. It was assumed that just because Cedric got better, his raven would get better too, because of couse, a familiar obeys and thinks the same way as his master, right? He could have been saved by Cedric or Clover. But that didn't happened. And I still think he deserves a redemption arc btw, or at least an episode.
But yes, the thought about Wormwood being created after a rock by Cedric it's implied in stf and it makes the whole situation more tense. Imagine how Wormwood was feeling, imagine how Cedric was feeling. Wormwood's reasons are understandable but it's a little weird the fact that he choose to betray Cedric so fast with someone who he doesn't even know yet (Prisma). It was REALLY FAST. He didn't think twice. And it confuses me why he choose to be so many years by Cedric's side, when he could have just ran away like that at any moment. If he always thought that Cedric was an idiot then he should have ran to another master years ago, because as we can see, he doesn't even think twice before leaving him.
When Cedric says something like "what about all those years of friendship" it's not just about their friendship. (Headcanon part) It's about when the whole class needed to turn a rock into an animal to make that animal their familiar, for each animal there was a different spell and all his classmates got the best ones first: owls, cats. He got one of the last ones, a raven, the one no one wanted, just like him.
And he was the only one who repeatedly was making feathers, vegetables, while everyone was laughing, making fun of him and whispering about "him being him" again, looking at him with disgust, asking why he was still trying- and the situation was starting to get humiliating. Everyone had already finished. And after so many tries, everyone looking at him with a judgemental look like he was in the middle of the room (just like how happened at the incident, he remembers that really well), Cedric gave up.
Maybe he watched while his teacher did the "familiar will live until their master is alive" spell in each one of the students, making sure that they all were now officially connected. But Cedric didn't had one, so he was the only one who just watched in silence. His teacher went to him, and as always he told Cedric to keep trying later, which made him feel a little better, but not a lot.
He kept trying, trying and trying after school, maybe at night (Hexley Hall boarding school headcanon time). And when he finally did it, the rock turned into a baby bird, and Cedric started crying out of happiness. He was able to make a real crow- and the baby was just in the palm of his hand making little noises and looking at him with a confused look, with not even a thought going through his mind. The baby raven didn't knew a thing but Cedric loved him already, just like the feeling of getting your first dog but this time with the whole stituation of the spell, Cedric being pressured and judged, and now he finally did it.
He immediately knew that this bird would be his best friend. He was a little weird looking, just like a little fluff ball, but Cedric was a little weird too, that was one more thing that they had in common. And he was so proud and loved his new bird so much that he wouldn't mind even if he didn't had feathers. What happened was that in the next day everyone went to class with their new familiars and Cedric was there with his baby bird, all proud of himself. Everyone saw this and some even thought that he got the bird somewhere, that he was pretending the spell worked just so that he wouldn't make a fool out of himself in today's class. But somehow they proved it was true, or the teacher just simply believed in him, the thing was that he finally had his familiar and the spell was casted on him to make his familiar permanently. And since then he carried the bird everywhere.
He gave him the name Wormwood after the herb. Maybe there was a funny situation with a wormwood and the baby bird involved, and that's when Cedric decided his name. But the thing is: they were always together since their childhood. I'm not really giving a deep dive into their relationship right now, so there's no conclusion to this post, but I wanted to share my headcanon. I made a drawing yesterday and their childhood together is in my mind ever since.
That's what I made (visual representation of the scenes):
Tumblr media
I think I'm gonna make more but idk. Hexley Hall Cedric is my roman empire

I thought I had seen it all until I realized there were people who actually thought Laena killing herself in arguably the most painful way possible (burning to death) was okay. Not only was the way she died different from the book (still tragic btw) but also a lot more traumatizing. Making the decision to burn yourself to death really says something about your mental state (and the fact that this happens after she admits to Daemon she knows she’s his second choice 🥴).
This situation really traumatized everyone. Daemon who watched (not really Laena’s fault because she didn’t know he was there but still) her daughters Baela and Rhaena (losing a parent especially a mother is hard enough but to loose a parent by means of suicide is ten times harder) and then of course Laena herself who choose to burn to death!
It seemed as if through episodes 5-7 the writes weren’t sure whether they wanted Daemon and Laena to be happy together. Because you can see in a few scenes where Daemon and Laena genuinely look happy to be around one another and then there are others where they look miserable. Also another thing that bugged was how in the book after Baela and Rhaena are born Daemon returns to King's Landing to get the crown’s (Viserys’s) favor bestowed upon his children. Whereas in the show the last time Daemon has talked to let alone seen Viserys was ten years ago. It’s almost as if it was another subtle (but effective) way to say how Show!Daemon is constantly putting his pride above the betterment of his own family.
When it comes to Balea and Rhaena the way I've had to hyper analysis both (but especially Rhaena’s) body language in order to get a sense of their personality because they barely talk is infuriating. The way they are being used as arm candy is infuriating. Their relationship with Daemon is infuriating. We have not seen Daemon interact with daughters in six years. Not only that but one of those daughters feels as if he ignores her while he shipped the other one off to Driftmark (I know warding is a common thing in Westeros but when you take into account Daemon’s relationship with his daughters it really makes him appear more shitty).
His relationship with Laena was also so poorly portrayed. Not only did it serve no purpose but to make Daemon look like a ass but it also made Laena (a black women) seem like the miserable second choice (to the white woman).
If that was infuriating/disappointing enough after her death (that he very traumatized by) he not only fucks Rhaenyra but also marries her. Laena and Harwin both just died. Laenor (who Rhaenyra claimed to love) just lost his sister, Balea and Rhaena their mother, and Jace and Luke (Joffrey too but he’s too small to understand) their biological father.
Speaking of Laenor I was not of a fan of how they made him appear to be a druken bum who abandons the children he swears he loves (especially since said man is a black man🙄).
Yeah, they loved it and thought what she did was okay and bada** and yah know not 100% because she was likely severely depressed herself/out of her mind from a difficult labor because they wanted Laena out of the way for their ship(in large part due to racism).
Yes, Laena dies in the book(s), but she dies with her husband by her side after he helps her ride on the back of Vhagar one last time per her wishes. She’s loved by him. She’d never traumatize him or their children because she's not some poor pitiful unwanted woman. They cut that out in favor of “let me go light myself on fire because my husband doesn’t love me.”
The treatment of Laena by the showrunners and the fandom is so foul considering how before her race-bending people said that she was Daemon’s most beloved wife(and the woman he loved the most cause they liked to pretend that Nettles was just lust). People acknowledged her importance to him, but since she became Blackish she was his second choice and Daemon never loved her as he did Rhaenyra(the woman he ended up choking out after she gave birth and will eventually abandon in favor of the actual woman he loves but I’m getting ahead of myself 😗).
Her relationship with Vhagar(a literal dragon) was her most important relationship. Or it’s so sad that we didn’t get to see Rhaenyra and Daemon slobbering on each other as Laena sat back and watched I mean it’s sad that we didn’t get to see Laena worshiping Rhaenyra I mean it’s so sad that Laena and Rhaenyra didn’t happen(little evidence for that it happened in the book). That’s what we should really be focusing on.
Who cares about her relationship with Daemon or her girls(which Rhaenyra’s rachet fans like to claim as hers because Queenie gave birth to a lizard and Laena was the only one who actually gave Daemon daughters. So they cope by saying Baela and Rhaena are her legacy and not show!Laena who birthed and raised them). Laena’s such a bada** 🙃
Sadly because of the fandoms meth induced delusions, I mean 100% canon observations/commentary on how Dumbnyra are soulmates and Daemon changes for Rhaenyra his one true love didn’t pan out how they wanted to(choke gate was instant karma🤣), they still harp on about Laena even though she’s second choice.
The show screwed Laena and her girls all the way over and the fandom used that to further their delusions. It’s not okay, but there is still hope for Baela and Rhaena and in the end, they've done a crap job with all the characters(so I feel a little less salty about the situation).
(I do hope that Daemon acknowledges how he didn’t treat Laena how he should’ve to them and says that he was distant because they reminded him too much of her. Again it’s not okay, but a conversation like that is needed).
Laenor’s characterization🫠 The only reason why they didn't kill him off(and why they made him into a “deadbeat”) is that they wanted to make Rhaenyra look better. It looks extremely bad to have her ordering her husband's death(or if she turns a blind eye to Daemon murdering him) so that she could marry Daemon.
Allegedly he’s going to die off-screen this season so that whole plotline was done solely to protect Rhaenyra’s image.

In relation to the ask game, monk?
Also btw your art is great it’s been so fun following it for so long :3
Thank you so much! <3
Monk: what is your favorite canon relationship?
Hahaha. :) In case this was somehow not obvious, it’s Laudna and Imogen. They had me by the throat within seconds of their introduction.
And okay here’s the thing I’ve only ever had one (1) character relationship dynamic that I really care about. Like, this isn’t my criteria for shipping or anything it’s just that ships I get hyperfixation-level attached to happen to fall in this one weirdly specific category and it is this: romantic friendship between two magical and/or monster ladies, one pastel and one goth. One of them is doomed or carrying around some kind of Destiny and the other one is Very Concerned about it.
Whether or not they’re actually kissing doesn’t matter*, it’s the strength of the bond between them that makes my heart try to escape my ribs. Bonded like shelter cats who can’t be adopted separately. No one else more important to them than each other. A love that can (and does) save or end worlds.
It’s had a few iterations over the years but it’s never been canon before. I’ve always had to do a lot of AU heavy lifting because there’s some canon heteronormative boyfriend in the way or the setting was mostly original content and characters because the source material didn’t have many so the ship was half fanon to begin with or something. So to have the exact thing I’ve been longing for for probably close to 20 years fully realized and canonical handed to me right at the start of the campaign permanently altered my psyche. I have not cared this much about fictional characters in ever.
And what’s really special about it is that they are BOTH the magical and monster ladies!! And they are both doomed by their destiny while being very concerned about the other’s and trying to undoom each other! They understand each other on a soul-deep level – Laudna is the only person whose thoughts don’t cause Imogen psychic pain and Imogen was the first person in her whole undeath to regard her with compassion rather than fear. They were each the unique antidote for the other’s loneliness. And it’s beautiful!!!!
And they absolutely check all of the romantic friendship boxes so it was everything I wanted right from the start. While everyone was (understandably) crowing “Imodna canon!!” after episode 65 because they kissed I was kind of like Oh! Okay! This is new. :) :) but it didn’t change me as a person because that had already happened. They were canon from the beginning. The bond was always there. Imogen would have gone into hell and dragged Laudna out of it regardless of whether she had romantic feelings for her. They can’t be adopted separately!!
(CR asks)
*(I actually kind of prefer it without the conventional-romantic “dating” aspect because fandom in general tends to value the romance over the friendship but it’s not as compelling to me because I'm ace and though romantic and sexual attraction are two different things, the prevailing cultural understanding of "romance" tends to presume both and I'm just not interested. Intense friendship used to be much more of a social norm but it fell out of favor with the rise of the Standard Nuclear Family in the 20th century. But whether or not they could have remained a Strong Platonic Female Friendship has already been examined. ;) )

Heart Break High : Season 2
I think this season was a bit darker than season 1, even if the end showed growth and acknowledgment.
Amerie was doing her best to be a better person.
What I didn't like was the absence of parents (like in Euphoria).
I was heartbroken when I learned the truth about Rowan's brother.
Also, I would have been great to see a throuple between Amerie, Rowan and Malakai.
Is Timothy Voss supposed to be Spencer's father?
I think that the abortion was none necessary. They have plenty of condoms at this point.
But I think that the magic from season 1 was lost.
Btw is the new generation all queer?
What can we expect after the school burned down? It was definitively a night to remember.
Some quotes :
"- It's up to 68 comments. I'm a monster." (Amerie - Episode 2)
"- You're just an equal opportunity arsehole." (Episode 2)
"- How can you love me if you think I'm that kind of person?" (Amerie - Episode 2)
"- See, you do care. I knew it." (Amerie - Episode 2) - This is just so typical of you. You're making drama out of nothing." (Malakai - Episode 2)
"- Sir, no offense, but what exactly are we doing? (Spencer) - Other than breaking child labor laws. - Are we digging our own graves? I'm not really into that." (Ant - Episode 3)
"- There's like... There's like a code, right? Like, you don't out someone if they're queer? (Malakai) - Oh, you mean the being-a-decent-person code?" (Darren - Episode 3)
"- I don't wanna hurt her. (Malakai) - You can't hide who you are to protect other people." (Darren - Episode 3)
"- I mean, I'm not about to start protesting. (Missy) - Oh, my God. Yeah. Just keep him down there. They can't say anything stupid when their mouth is full." (Sasha - Episode 5)
"- Uh, I think sometimes we cling to a few nice moments with someone and make them bigger than they were. But actually, we've spent the majority of the time forcing something that doesn't fit." (Rowan)
"- I could just tell Malakai wasn't all in. And I deserve someone who is... I think everyone does." (Amerie - Episode 5)
"- Don't turn up at your ex-girlfriend's house asking for tips on how to win back the guy you left her for." (Amerie - Episode 5)
"- You're smart, but in a way that never makes other people feel dumb." (Episode 5)
"- Quinni, I love you. But the world can't always play by your rules." (Darren - Episode 5)
"- I like it 'cause it's a reminder that the most beautiful love stories can sometimes have painful beginnings." (Rowan - Episode 5)
"- But I don't buy any of that shit she was saying. You always have a choice about the kind of man you wanna be." (Missy - Episode 5)
"- Look, I know things have been really, really hard, but you should at least stay and try to sort your shit out. Otherwise, you'll never know if you left 'cause you wanted to, or 'cause you were running away like a little bitch." (Episode 6)
"- I'm looking for my friend Quinni. She's been AWOL for three days. Have you seen her? (Darren) - Sorry, I didn't feel like replying." (Quinni - Episode 6)
"- You've been avoiding me. (Rowan) - No. Just giving you a chance to miss me." (Amerie - Episode 6)
"- I wanna change. (Spencer) - All right, well, it's easy to say, but it actually requires some meaningful action." (Missy - Episode 7)
"- I just wanted to say make this a night to remember, not one to regret." (Zoe - Episode 8)
"- I feel like someone's always gonna be making a sacrifice if they'd be with me." (Harper - Episode 8)
"- There's all kinds of ways to love someone, to be with someone. You don't have to play by other people's rules." (Episode 8)
"- Well, at least I have a heart. Yours is just a piece of dog shit." (Amerie - Episode 8)
"- I wanted you to see how much I do under the surface that no one ever sees. I've been performing who I thought I should be for my entire life. I don't think I know who I am anymore. I'm gonna find out, but I don't wanna lose you in the process." (Quinni - Episode 8)

oh damn oh jees I'm so normal sooo sooooo normal rn ahaha! emotionally, I'm feeling sorta ZGBZFDHZV HV ZDH DZVVZDS ZD ZZV LZV. like, it's trigun, I expected it to hit hard BUT I DIDN'T EXPECT IT TO HIT SO HARD spoilers for ep 10 under the cut as usual
tbh I'm mostly shaking about the next ep and impending season finale, but this one was still pretty brutal
firstly, the goofs. vash fucking SNEESING and getting ruthlessly bullied by wolfwood is pretty much in spirit of their relationship in 98' anime and I'd love to see more of it (pls I hope there'll be a season 2)
scar reveal! I was afraid they're gonna give him a glow up and yeah, some scars are barely visible, but the other ones look awful. so, everything I hoped for, good to see he's in pain /j. also nico tried so hard not to stare at shirtless vash... he's looking away respectfully
vash is such a wet cat pathetic paperbag of a guy... just let that guy take a shot, barely flinched, took the bullet 'cause he thinks he deserved it. didn't even think of attending the wound until wolfwood said so. and, mind you, vash doesn't have any superhuman abilities so that must've hurt like hell
nico's job is so funny because to keep vash safe he has to get into mega epic fights, but also remind that idiot to eat and take care of wounds. again, vashwood duo feels more like the original now, after the sandsteamer. I think nico actualy started caring about vash since he saved the orphanage, it's great to see him conflicted with his mission
also policemen from ep 1 and the guy who shot vash are like... second best side characters in stampede and this is not a compliment. the best ones are nomads who ate worms btw
oh meryl, she's gonna girlboss so hard now... woe to all the haters and naysayers, she's getting character development and faces the same conflict as vash and nico thus gaining more narrative significance!! don't get me wrong, manga and 98' anime meryl was a crucial character, but she's getting much more freedom in stampede to develop and get into action
the moment where she gets up during wolfwood voiceover is when we start to see the "iron lady" and I'm so here for it! now we just have to wait for her designated therapy dog girlfriend to appear and when I can be at peace
tbh I don't really care about roberto. no hate, just neutral, rip drunckle grumps
everybody just dumped zazie... so rude, meryl didn't even answer their question >:(
elendira is..... not bad, but disappointing in comparison to the manga's gorgeously evil and hilariour girlboss who was also explicitly trans! oh look, she's a child experiment plant hybrid now, yay... meh
TESLA CONFIRMED omg I'm SOO exited for the next episode we're gonna be in SO MUCH PAIN
knives yeeting vash into the pit got a giggle out of me, but also... damn he actually was preparing all these years, crafting a perfect trap. and all the plants... he couldn't fix them and boy oh boy, I'm pretty sure he gathered them not for safekeeping... HE'S GONNA DO A LAST RUN ON THEM TO "FIX" VASH!! that was probably what elendira was refering to when she started crying
I am the normallest about this. these twins are such hyppocrites I wanna study and dissect them. knives doing the most cruel thing to his sisters so he can get rid of everything that makes vash human in hopes that if they were on the same footage they would finally stay together.......
and the words that he says to vash hurt so much more because it's true. he does love humans, but the main thing driving him is guilt. in stampede, more than ever, vash blames himself for pretty much all human suffering, because he helped the great fall happen. no wonder he's so depressed and not nearly as goofy! homeboy doesn't just protect the lives rem saved, his pacifistic quest is penance for all the people he (thinks he) killed

Screw it, infodumping abt my AEG au because I have a lot of thoughts actually
*Prefacing this by saying: if you don't like this particular show, just keep off this post
(Most) events that happened in the other two series are canon to my au, but they happened without the characters who are children and therefore quite a few things are different. All of these events happened before the children came along or while they were incredibly young. Emily has her scottish accent in this btw, her AEG voice is great but it pains me that they didn't make her scottish. The events of AEG take place in modern day (based off of small observations, and Nia knowing what an emoji is).
One day, for an unexplained reason that still hasn't been fully figured out, a bunch of little machines just...showed up. All over the world. It caused a lot of confusion and panic, stations and companies were exchanging phone calls like mad to try and figure something out. They came to a worldwide consensus: the children will be adopted out to older machines who will become their new parents, and the parents will be guided to raise the children while the humans try to figure out what the cause is. This resulted in some not so great scenarios, and a lot of switching around, some machines just aren't fit to raise young kids. It's hard for all of them, even the good parents. These are the first machine children ever after all.
Sodor became a far more relaxed place with the introduction of the machine children, most places had to put in new laws and adapt, which includes the island. They had to create regulations to protect the children as well as invent a system to keep the new families in order, to track who is whose child. For the first few years they had rules set to keep the children from working, but they quickly discovered that it's instinct for them to work as much as it is their adult counterparts. They started to get antsy being forced to stay in the yard because they're meant to move and work. They get unhappy if they have to sit around all day.
So, when the kids got a little older, they started to get small jobs with the supervision of parents or other older machines. They all became far happier and so they were allowed to keep working and helping out around the island. Nowadays they don't have constant supervision and are trusted to work by themselves, so that they can already be adjusted to working by themselves before they get older. Some voice concerns considering the frequent mistakes, but they're assured that these mistakes are part of the learning process, better they make them as little engines than as larger ones that can do more damage.
All of the kids are around 10 years old at the start of the show's events, Sandy poofed into existence a tiny bit later so she's more around 8. Ages obviously subject to changing as time goes on in the series.
A very random tidbit based on how ADORABLE the episode Something To Remember was: Yong Bao, while not a father himself, is very very fond of engine children. He thinks they're all a wonderful gift to this earth and he's always thinking of Sodor's little ones. Does frequent babysitting for the few on his railway back in China that do have kids when he's not on the job himself. ...SERIOUSLY HOW CUTE IS THIS THOUGH:
Tumblr media
And for reference, the family set-ups I have at the moment (might be subject to change) are: Gordon and Henry- Thomas and Percy's adoptive fathers. Gordon was a bit apprehensive as he isn't the fondest of children and doubted his ability to be a father, but he ended up being a very good father. Henry is the softer one and he has trouble being stern, so he appreciates his partner's ability to be tough with the kids. Percy and Thomas are sometimes a bit more than their fathers can handle, but they're a very tightly knit family and they love each other a lot. Emily- Adoptive mother of Diesel and Bruno, she had actually always wanted children of her own and didn't mind the idea of raising a diesel engine. She's determined to raise him to have no prejudice towards other types of engines, and she does her best to help Bruno learn to adjust to new things, she knows it can be hard for him after all. Also stands in as the caretaker of Nia, who was brought to Sodor when she was about 5 years old as her original mother from Kenya ended up being unable to handle the pressure of raising a child after a few years once it really set in, and Sodor had the room to take an extra kid. Cranky- Adoptive father of Sandy and Carly, originally just Carly's father until Carly uncovered Sandy and ended up attached to her. He was very against the idea of having a kid at first, but as the only other crane on Sodor (with the exception of Bereseford, but he just couldn't take a kid at all for unspecified reasons), Sir Topham Hatt managed to talk him into trying it out for Carly's sake. Now he adores both of his daughters and does his best to be there for them even as a stationary crane. Hiro- Kana's adoptive father, also a father figure towards Kenji. Kana stays on Sodor as part of an exchange program sort of deal, but she makes the occasional visits to Japan to spend more quality time with her father and older brother. Kenji does the same when visiting Sodor, Hiro tries to as well but he can't come as often as Kenji can. Hiro adores both of his children even if they're a bit fast and far more futuristic than himself, and he does his best to keep in touch with Kana. She's his special little girl!

Opinion on the little shop tv show? How do you think the og cast would react to meeting the little shop cast?
(Another great question omg)
Little shop is very famously not very good,it's rated 4.1 stars out of 10 for a reason. I'm not going to lie I haven't finished little shop and when I initially watched it a year or so ago I was blinded by the fact it was little shop of horrors related.
It's actually not that bad for a kids cartoon based off a horror-musical and there's actually a lot of references to the 1960 film(despite it not taking place in the 60),which is done in a kid friendly way.
-The charcther Burson Fouch,a customer who eats flowers,is shown in the shows Halloween episode
Tumblr media
-Seymours mother who every time shes on screen either malingering (pretending to be ill or injured) or shes some kind of hypochondriac,is instead like a health nut whos allways working out. I think that's really nicely done.
Tumblr media
-there's a really funny exchange in I believe married to the mush(correct me if I'm wrong)
Mushnik:"What happened to the fire prevention show?"
Audery:"It burnt down"
Seymour:"It was a accident "
(The idea of Seymour just setting a fire in the last place you'd except to start a fire is very 1960s Seymour who everytime hes on screen seems to fall to his death)
-Audery's personality is way closer to that of 1960s audery but more childlike.
Audery seems to want a new job every episode and in episode 2 she has this pretty story line.
So In that episode Seymour is placed in home ec and there's a whole masculinity plot going on with him. Audery is very unhappy to be in home ec,she wanted to be in shop class since she's more of a tom boy.(I think mushnik made her take the class?he's her dad in this btw) but suddenly the teacher roles out a fridge and she's all like "I know what I wanna be now"
And I'm thinking "uh oh there gonna make her give up her personality to be like a house wife or something" which for the musical audery would be perfectly fine because she wants that but little shop audery is clearly very against it.
Do you know what job she wanted? A fridge repair women. She was so excited to just like fix a fridge. It's super funny.
-the dentist rols is actually kinda shared by a 2 characters. Paine driller and Dr.driller. Paine is the son of Dr.driller and he just bully Seymour.
There's this reoccurring bit where he like slingshots Seymour with his headgear and its pretty creative.
Tumblr media
(paine also has like a motorized bike that resembles a motorcycle)
Tumblr media
His dad is obviously a dentist but he's less "get off on the pain I inflict" and more money motivated. As he's pulling out a guys teeth he's taking about how he's gonna get a new car.
Little shop is kinda a perfect blend of old and new when it comes to the little shop of horrors franchise which is perfectly on brand.
Now on to the second part of your question. I don't think you mean the og actors meeting the voice actors and so I'm gonna give a little rundown on if the characters would like get along.
-the Seymours definitely would he's pretty much the same (not counting the short stories) musical Seymour would definitely be the most confident which is not saying much.
-I don't really think the auderys(plants) would get along very well there alll kinda different. Audery junior (movie) was found in the Amazon and dosent really have a personality besides wanting blood,It also has a really high voice which is funny. Twoey (musical) is from outer space and is confident and knows what it wants and it's pretty silly. Junior(cartoon) has like a bart and millhouse type friendship with Seymour and just kinda causes problems like a asshole and gets Seymour blamed. So it be very interesting to say the least.
(I eventually wanna talk about the different plants and there powers and origins and stuff)
-on the otther hand the human auderys would 100% get along great no doubt about it.
-mushnik is mostly the same throughout, only difference is gravis(movie) Is nicer to Seymour and less of a stereotype(and also kinda hot) so it probably go ok for them
-the dentists (I call them that because they all have different names) are all very very different characters.
Farb(movie) is one of the most normal little shop of horrors charcther ever. He does still engage in malpractice but he's actually sanitary, dresses properly and actually has like a kinda valid reason? Like he only intentionally hurts people when they wrong him like people who forget to pay and Seymour when he forgets his flowers.
But he still does his job, like he tells Seymour he'll rip out all his teeth but he only gets the one he needs to remove and he's not a bad person outside of work. He's described as a crummy dentist but a nice guy by Seymour when he's feeding his remains to junior.
Gravis Mushnik is also fine with him if he was this horrible person Gravis would probably comment on that. Farb is a little goofy but he's not that bad.
Dr.driller is also like really normal,he's money motivated but ok?that's his job that's why you work. He also seems to not know he's causing pain to his patients and he seems like a pretty decent dad.
Orin is just fucking insane, like batshit crazy. I have now clue how ashman saw farb and got orin our of it. Sure farb is described as sadistic (not by any charcther on screen) but he's nothing compared to Orin.
I think the 3 dentists interacting would probably just orin making the other 2 uncomfortable.
But yeah loved this question! I'm so happy to answer these little shop of horrors asks!!

S2e4 of hell-no-va boos makes my blood boil. As a person who got boundaries with people making horny jokes around me even tho I tell them not to make those jokes around me, its so much pain that Striker had to deal with this shit. Just look at how much he was looking uncomfortable when everyone was just "ooo harder 😍😍😍😍" around him.
I wish that Striker killed everyone in that episode. Every single person had to make a sex joke cause if they don't they will die /sarcasm.
He had every right to be unhinged in that episode, he really deserves better than this.
As someone who likes sex jokes from time to time (except when they are actually full on uncomfortable to hear) I'm really starting to hate this on going 'joke'
Btw I know you meant S2e6

lines that made me cry in my 3rd relisten to the chaos protocol ep 32 (MAJOR SPOILERS):
- “brother heed me, as you ought.” something about the way connie says brother this time… i will never be ok about sing and seir
- i mean i could say the entire rest of the opening monologue. but the little hesitance on “lover, hold me”? OW.
- THE WAY VAL’S VOICE SOUNDS ON THEIR FIRST LINE. illegal.
- similarly, the sobbing after “it is lost. forever.” always catches me off guard and RIGHT IN THE HEART
- the way connie just moves on to lumiéra after val says “something snaps”. cause there’s nothing more to say. nothing that can fix it.
- “a door that had been so carefully pried open slamming shut, and… he doesn’t feel.”
- “and he just… looks at where he should have been a shield.” have i ever mentioned that cai is a masterful storyteller? cause cai is a masterful storyteller and god. i’ll never stop feeling things about xainan esch
- this whole scene with xainan crumbling into dust destroys me.
- “you have always been half dead, xainan esch”
- connie calling oblivion the most beautiful person you’ve ever seen as xainan is drifting away from his own life sure is something, huh.
- “i think im just exhausted with being a coward” no cause i have so many feelings about lumiéra waiting, waiting, always a little too hesitant and afraid to tell sing how she really felt, even though sing felt the same, because it’s too scary because it’s too complicated because lumiéra is literally just fucking HUMAN and it takes so much to make that step - only for her to finally do it and it’s just. a moment. too. late.
- the moment when we move from lumiéra’s flashback to the present. the imagery of happy, triumphant, hopeful lumi giving way to lumi crouched over sing’s body, tear tracks staining her face.
- and the imagery of seir holding up lumiéra with his sister. fuck me i guess.
- THE FUCKING PERSPECTIVE SHIFT
- ok being fully fr seir’s monologue here is when i actually started crying in earnest this time. what the fuck val. not one line. all of them
- “the knife that is xainan” always hits me a little bit
- “whelming it’s pitiable vessel” is just such a good phrase. didn’t make me cry but i love it
- the music cue when artemis appears did make me cry though
- “eyes that immediately fall upon sing’s body” if i think too hard about artemis’s relationship with sing (artemis singing the twins to sleep, artemis signing her transfer request because artemis can see right through her, artemis giving them all the warning she can, artemis knowing when they die and appearing right away but unsurprised, with grief that has always been there, artemis making a choice) i will break. and start making some not-yet-canon assumptions about artemis’s own emotional state. so we are not thinking about that!
- “a lance in her chest” “bleeding.” ow ow ow the multiple possible readings of this line. connie and sea kicking off their insane narration chemistry with a lance to my chest. ow
- “those warm, gentle hands, that do not touch, that are so careful with their love” ok so when i said we weren’t feeling things about artemis? i lied
- “and when her hands pass through your flaming horns, snuffing them out like a candle at the end of its wick, it is not violent. it is not to put a cap on your grief, not to quiet you, not to for you into a box or a body that cannot contain you -“ “it is a mercy.” “it is the sweet mercy of rest when you have no tears left to cry.” the actual reason i’m relistening to this episode is to memorize all the words. so i can hold them like precious things in a box inside me. btw
- and artemis sings you and your sister to rest one final time.
ok. *wipes away tears.* anyways.
- artemis wiping a tear from lumiéra’s eye and calling her the bravest girl in the room .
- we interrupt your regularly scheduled tears to bring you: i’m gonna pull an øka* and punch fate in the fucking face. “this pain has a design”. yeah it’s called fate’s a BITCH and a BAD PARENT. and you can quote me on this
*i have not yet watched the second stranger only seen the clip of øka punching fate. so many times. i replayed that clip quite a bit after this episode.
- “and you cannot hold on to your life much longer. you are a dead man walking and you can go no farther than this.” ok back to crying! this is the sequence i was originally most abnormal about. and you know what? it still hits. so much. xainan my beloved
- sea and connie narrative trading my beloved.
- “do you want to live?” “i don’t know.” “then why don’t you come with me, and you can tell me your answer later.” god what a line. what a perfect response. there are no words that can fix this, but maybe with time and love and care someday you will want to live again. why don’t you come with me.
- “and she carries you home.”
- i don’t think i fully internalized the imagery of sing’s sword being driven into the earth by the roots of the world tree and the roots growing up around it before, but this time i imagined wildsailors hundreds of years from now coming upon this site and approaching it with reverence and love, knowing that it was here that something bigger than their world changed forever, holding sing’s eulogy in the very heartwood of the wildsea—yeah.
- “i love my dad, ok?” thanks abasi already sobbing.
- “it is effortless, the care that they hold for you. it is a reality unto itself.” just. cause. this is what i was hoping the whole time in the lead up to this episode. i know it would be awful and crushing and it would break them, and i was so worried that they would have to just. find a way to push on somehow. make plot happen anyways. but this, nova being cared for and held and protected in their grief? someone carrying them home when they can’t do it themselves anymore? this was just what they needed. and what i needed. i cannot wait for arc 2.

Many many thoughts on TW 1.12!! I loved this episode so so much.
LIMBO’S HALL OF HAPPY
This ep was a banquet of commentary on mhi and how people deal with what’s making them sad and how they deal with their mhi. Feelings of loss, fear of change, or dealing with traumatic of events. It’s understandable to want to escape and not have to think about it for a little while, but if you run too hard from facing yourself for too long your sadness, grief, pain, hurt, anger, it can lead people off the rails, isolated from loved ones, or self-destructing, they can get lost.
Let’s take a look at Dean’s narration: “Hunting’s a dishonest business. You gotta lie all the time about who you are, what you do. But the hardest lies aren’t the ones you tell other people. They’re the ones you tell yourself.”
The Dean, Sam, and Cas coding was all over this ep.
Throwing a few examples out there:
Sam hit a dog and moved in with a woman, using Amelia to escape from his grief, his guilt, his pain over losing Dean and a mental collapse so he ran from hunting, ran from even trying.
Cas, recently traumatized, who coped with binging netfix shows, was kept complacent by Lucifer during his possession in a mindspace that’s watching tv in the bunker kitchen. Cas likes watching tv, the bunker kitchen had become one of his comfort spaces.
Dean, possessed by AU Michael, kept complacent in Rocky’s Bar. Hiding in a peaceful dream. Or Dean in WIAWSNB. Or Dean’s brain inventing a lie in S8 so he wouldn’t have to face the pain of knowing Cas chose to stay behind in Purgatory.
The ep most loudly reflected that in John and the one-shot characters, all of them trying to run from their grief, anger, or fear, and Jerome Haskins, Limbo the clown, who couldn’t deal with his feelings of loss and fear when the Depression caused the carnival to collapse, so he sold his soul in an attempt to stay happy forever.
John wall-slamming a clown, “tell me where she is” had big “where’s the angel” energy. BTW.
Interesting how John realizes the way through the maze is to close his eyes, not look at illusions (the mirrors) and feel his way through in a tactile way.
The way out is to face the truth.
Mary hides from her problems in hunting, John’s using being on the road, on the run, with Mary, starts using that relationship to hide from having to think about his problems.
There’s also some things in this ep that pointedly comment on 15.20. Dean in 15.20 is trying to live his life, which is in fact what he should be doing, it’s all he can do, and that’s not the problem, but he’s also not addressing his depression and his grief. He’s trying to be content, doesn’t want to talk about his grief, he wants a hunt. He wants a piefest. And Sam mashes Dean’s face into pie.
The brother in this ep expresses his regret, “if only I’d helped him through his grief instead of taking him to that damn carnival.”
It’s not suggesting pie got Dean killed in 15.20 or casting blame on Sam, who was just trying to be supportive and tried to get Dean to talk about his grief.
It’s that the piefest and getting his face mashed into pie was not actually what Dean needed. His arc wasn’t finished when he’s impaled on that rebar.
And Cas…Cas is unavoidably important here. The lack of resolution.
And now—Dean’s restless soul, likely got caught in limbo. Angry and hurt and confused and not ready and maybe Dean’s soul, it’ll turn out, went seeking an illusion of happiness, instead of facing himself and his pain and seeing the truth, following it out of the trap.
Time traveling Dean, I think it’ll turn out, is trying to fix what limbo Dean broke. Time traveling Dean will give the letter to John which sends him to Mary which leads them to the monster club which leads to the mothership events which, messy and heartbreaking and disappointing it sometimes was, there was also joy, it’s also all the things that made Dean DEAN and Dean is good with who he is, finally, all the way. And the rebar death being recontextualized. Because it’s not “bad things happen” that’s the problem narratively there. It’s because it was inadequate, poorly executed, incomplete. 15.20 diminished Dean, it didn’t explore him, his grief, his hurt, the things he needed to say, were not addressed, he only got to speak to Sam, and his speech to Sam was self-negating. He got pie in the face, he didn’t get the arc he needed.
The story. Isn’t. Over.
Carlos’ disdain for the carnival stood out. Carlos is someone who (like Dean) knows to live in the moment and take joy where you can, but he’s not about running away from facing himself or his problems, and something about the artifice of carnival (which is part of their actual design, part of the fun) bothers him inherently.
Lata and John’s friendship — John doesn’t push her away when she asks how he is. Maybe because it’s a less fraught relationship than John and Mary’s, or Lata’s gentle way of dealing with people.
John gets to grow in this ep, again, he acknowledges himself and what he’s been doing, that’s good. That doesn’t mean everything’s great and he can’t fall the way he does. What it means is—see my point above—that he’s not going to completely lose himself to the point where it could result in even worse outcomes. TW isn’t the “better timeline.” It’s THE timeline. That capacity for self awareness, love, and growth matters, even if it’s not enough in John’s case.
Team Free Will broke the cycle, John can’t, maybe they have more capacity for self awareness, love, and growth than John does, but that doesn’t mean John has none.
And ROWENA!!!!!!!! Who is looking for her son.
Loving the witchy speakeasy and Rowena and Ada. I need many more eps of those two. The witches in the speakeasy didn’t appreciate Ada’s brand of magic, but Rowena does, and she is dangerous for Ada, but also sincerely appreciative and interested in Ada. It’s so so interesting.
Oh Ada. Don’t do it, don’t use the soul magic.
The costume and makeup department deserve awards for this ep.

Hi Jalebii, Hope you're doing well firstly lots of loves and warm hugs. I've been fangirling behind your podcast and blogs, they're just so fun to read listen.
I actually have 2 questions that I wanted to ask
1) Why didn't Anrav tell Khushi why he married her immediately after getting married? Was it because it was too hard for him to admit that he knew about her and Shyam in front of her? Do you think if it wasn't for suicide attempt of Khushi he would have even told her anything?
2) Do you think makers should have shown Anjali ending up with a good man like how many other fans wanted? Also what are your thoughts on Anjali going for therapy after divorce? Should they've shown it on screen?
Hope to read your answers soon ❤
And BTW when's the new episode of podcast coming?
Hellloooo Anon!
Tumblr media
For #1 - This is interesting cause I thought a lot. I think there are two things going on. First, on a logical standpoint, just what happened when he confronted Shyam and told him that he knows the truth (whatever version it is, Arnav didn't know that it was half truth) - Arnav lost all leverage over Shyam. And in his eyes Khushi is, equally, a villain then telling her the reason would make him lose all of his leverage on her as well and Arnav cannot afford that. Her not knowing serves him more and gives him further control of the situation and its outcomes. And there's also that fear, what if he sees Khushi's real face? Will he be able to bear it? (this is a very small part, it largely is to control whatever bit of the situation he can and thus keeping your villains in the dark is the best way to deal with it - he already lost hand with Shyam, he cannot afford that with Khushi).
To be honest I have NO idea how, when, why Arnav would tell the truth to Khushi. Some plots were laid that Khushi is getting an idea that Arnav is responding to a misunderstanding but they scrapped that. Then Shyam would exploit the misunderstanding he fully knows between the couple and they scrapped that too so boy went soap hunting. So I actually don't know AT ALL how this would've been dealt with from the OG POV. I have my theories which are in the back burner for fanfics, lol.
For #2 - Only if it's Aman. And I genuinely say it out of interest for a good plot. Because it would nicely deal with Arnav's intrusion in Anjali's life and very well pit his cynicism against Khushi's optimism. And it would deal with a lot of their underlying issues. Why does Arnav have a problem with Aman - a man he otherwise trusts a 100%? Why is his interruption in Di's life alright, but Khushi's isn't? It would really evolve their characters. But otherwise - I am absolutely HAPPY that they left Anjali single. Cause you see shows nowadays can't keep a woman single at all. If she's a widow there's a new male character. If she's divorced, a better man is going around. Okay, I love the destigmatization of second romances but God... let a woman live as an independent person and they really let Anjali live. She had her moments of genuine pain, of that trauma flaring up in between her sadness, but she really lived for herself and I'd take that any day over a romantic plot for her. And regarding therapy, it would've been a good plot if they tied it into Arnav-Khushi.
Like with Anjali going to therapy, she would want Khushi to seek it as well who would get agitated at that because she doesn't think she needs therapy and well... she does. And that opens a Pandora's box that she had deeply stuffed away.
And the new episode of the podcast is up!!!
youtube
Do give it a watch and let me know!
Love,
Jalebi
