hey gang what time is it its time for another joe trohman podcast. this actually came out like a month ago but i missed it until isa linked it to me and because i like doing these heres a highlights reel
the host says he appreciates that joe opened the book with the question of whether or not satan fucked his wife to which joe replies "well you know, when you have kids, sometimes you wonder that. you truly wonder what are these demons. i love my children btw they're phenomenal."
sometimes it does get tiring playing the same songs over and over. joe says that "thnks fr th mmrs" has a really good energy and tempo that keeps it exciting to play live
he talks about playing a really short iheartradio christmas show pre-pandemic and nobody in the crowd knew "sugar we're goin down" since they were only familiar with the more recent hits like "centuries" and "uma thurman" and joe said that it made him fall in love with sugar all over again in a weird way ldjfldkfd
he laments recently getting the chance to see wu-tang, nas, and busta rhymes at the hollywood bowl but he didn't go
his love language is giving gifts! he got his brother a custom drum set (which his mom attempted to throw out)
he reiterates that when writing the book he didn't want to be mean to any of his bandmates cause he likes them and thats not what the book is about! the host makes a joke: "like how you guys had that threesome with simple plan...i understand, you don't wanna get into that!" joe is offended that he clearly doesn't know how many guys are in simple plan. "there's more than three guys in there! the orgy was far larger than you give it credit!"
he doesnt remember any other names that the band could have been called but he does think fall out boy is a pretty terrible name for a band. "i can't believe i'm in a band called fall out boy."
discussions of the band origin and how joe funded it with his bar mitzvah money ("fall out boy, funded by judaism!") but when asked about financial gains from the band he says they all split everything evenly and it's one of the things that's helped them last this long
talking about scott ian and the damned things and he talks about how managing a supergroup is like herding cats because everyone is so busy with their respective groups. he says he'd LOVE to do a third damned things record though!
he talks about how weird it was to have this boy band aspect to them when they were at their peak pre-hiatus, because they were all hardcore kids and punk kids.
he recalls that around this time patrick asked their manager, with visible concern, "are we...the nsync to panic at the disco's backstreet boys?"
he's glad that they've outgrown that and kept pushing forward and looking forward, and by now they're no longer a boy band. "we're a man band!"
he thinks it's kind of neat to see the emo movement of the aughts become nostalgic and cool now ("it was not fucking cool when we were doing it [...] we stuck around for long enough to Not Be Lame"), but it's a big thing for fall out boy that they do not want to be a nostalgia act and they want to keep making new albums.
the host semi-jokingly says "so you and panic at the disco are not gonna go out on tour, is what you're saying." joe says "no" very flatly and i lose my shit.
he denies that fall out boy is working on any specific new music. he says they're just piecing things together organically and that no real album has coalesced. (note: this episode aired 11/12, ~2 weeks before the fob8 tribune ad)
he talks a bit about working with brian posehn on the axe and how much he loved doing it! he calls the whole story a metaphor for dealing with pain and trauma and the different ways there are to confront that stuff. he said the axe is coming out as a trade "soon" so people who don't have a subscription to heavy metal can read it
his first concert was tom petty and the heartbreakers when he was 10 or 11
he says the two things that matter most for a band's live show are the drummer and the singer. he then proceeds to be extremely sweet about patrick and andy.
"patrick, he's incredible, he's so gifted, and he's worked so hard with his voice lessons and figuring out how to sing from the diaphragm properly, and he really knows how to work through when he's sick and having real issues, so he's quite a trooper."
"and andy is just a great drummer. when he thinks he's had a bad day i'm like...yeah. sure. i don't think you know what that is."
he did not get laid in high school. first time was in a shared tour bus, listening to testament (a thrash metal band), when he was 19. (they never saw each other again)
since testament was the soundtrack the host asks if he ever gets a reaction whenever joe hears chuck billy (testament's lead vocalist). joe says without missing a beat, "when i see him i do, that's for sure."
he is an avid bowler. he has a wristguard and a spare ball and he used to take lessons. he calls it great stress relief!

Dark Side of Dating Him (HC)
Fandom: Obey Me
Pairing: Demons x gn!Reader
Warning: The warnings vary depending on the demon, but nothing too severe.
A/N: This is the dark side, so proceed with caution. If you guys like this HC, I can write one slightly darker and more situational.
———————————————
Lucifer
Due to his pride, he may be emotionally distant and will not admit to mistakes easily. This could lead to a lack of a deep emotional connection.
He can be dominating and demanding, and at times, he may come off as if he is dictating the relationship. Lucifer likes and wants things to go his way, so compromising is difficult for him.
The Avatar of Pride is known for perfection, so his expectations are high for himself and for you. This could lead to a lot of mental pressure for you if you don't strive for perfection or are not meticulous.
Lucifer likes to maintain his appearance, dress well, and keep himself well-groomed. He expects the same from his partner, so if you like dressing down or prefer comfortable clothes, it may become an issue.
Due to his intimidating nature, it may be difficult to open up to him. Moreover, he tries to be understanding, but he isn't openly empathetic. So, he may come off as emotionally unavailable. At times, he might also come off as insensitive when you are being emotional, and Lucifer tells you to be mature and learn how to handle your emotions. He means well, but his way of saying it will be too straightforward.
Whether you like it or not, you will end up being roped into helping take care of his brothers. Due to Lucifer's busy schedule, you will most likely end up taking care of everyone by yourself most of the time.
Lucifer is busy, so he won't have much time to spend with you. Sometimes, even if you are married to him, you might feel lonely.
Mammon
Say goodbye to your money because Mammon will 'borrow' it if needed. He might gamble it off and recklessly spend it, and there is also a very slim chance that he will pay it back.
Mammon gets easily jealous and won't like it if you spend too much time around other men, especially if he feels threatened by them. There may also be a bit of possessiveness involved.
Due to his sensitive nature, he might complain to you endlessly and use you as an emotional dump at times. He doesn't mean to, but he can't control himself, especially if Mammon is overloaded or stressed.
He isn't the smartest or sharpest demon, so there will be times when you will have to explain things to him in detail for him to understand. His initial reaction to your emotions may come off as insensitive as he may make casually straightforward statements (that he actually doesn't mean).
His need for greed might put you in dangerous situations; for example, he might carelessly say he will hand you over to his witch friends if he can't pay back their debt. Will he actually hand you over? No, but the witches might hunt you. Debt collectors might also come after you. You will also have to hear, "Mammon took my money. Pay it back, or get him to pay it back."
Mammon sometimes finds it difficult to take things seriously. He gets uncomfortable during serious discussions and tries to avoid them, so sitting down with him and having a long, mature discussion is nearly impossible.
His things belong to him, his brothers' things belong to him, and your things also belong to him. You will definitely find your belongings missing. More often than not, his excuse will be, ' He needed to get out of debt.'
Levi
As the Avatar of Envy, Levi will be jealous of everything. You get lucky, he will be envious. You laugh and have a good time with someone, he will be jealous. You achieve something, and Levi will be happy for you but will be envious. This may lead him to experience mood swings and possibly push you away for a short period every time.
If you are social, Levi will sometimes feel suffocated by your need to constantly spend time with others and go to parties/events. Even if you invite him, he won't come along. In a sense, he expects you to be as introverted as him and spend most of your time with him.
Even if you reassure him that you love him, there will almost always be moments when he experiences an inferiority complex. This leads to emotional withdrawal and might even lead to him projecting his insecurities on you.
Due to his obsession with gaming and anime, he might neglect the relationship for daily runs and episodes or binge-watching. If you join him, great, more time together. But if you want him to do something you like, it will be difficult to convince him.
Most of all, if you tell him any of this, he will not take the criticism well. Levi is very sensitive, and if you point out his flaws, Levi will immediately categorize it as 'you don't understand him.'
Due to his insecurities, he might become clingy or overly dependent on you for many things. One habit you will have to develop is constantly reassuring him that he is good enough for you and that you love him.
Satan
The Avatar of Wrath has wrath issues, so expect sudden and unpredictable outbursts. Though Satan will never want to harm you, if his blind rage activates, he might unintentionally hurt you while breaking things around him.
If you do or say anything that rubs him the wrong way, he will hold grudges. Just ask Lucifer. That grudge will not go away easily, which might strain your relationship. To tie in with this, he doesn't forgive easily.
There will be times when Satan will want to spend time alone with his beloved books. Even if you want to spend time with him, he might say no. Satan values his alone time just as much as he values spending time with you.
If you get into an argument with Satan, things will escalate, and it might incur his wrath. At that point, he will be destructive and even possibly attack you. He doesn't mean to, but blind rage hinders his thoughts.
His directness, mixed with his intelligence, can come off as cold and ruthless. While he can process emotions, Satan thinks more logically, so his mind will react before his heart.
Even if you have nothing against Lucifer, you will always have to side with Satan, even if he is in the wrong. If you, even accidentally, say that Lucifer is right, Satan will get angry. He might take it overly personally and distance himself from you.
Asmo
Asmo's love for himself is a mix between insecurity and narcissism. You will have to feed both of those sides by constantly validating how beautiful he is and flatter him whenever he needs you to, even when he doesn't need it.
He is friendly with everyone. He flirts with everyone, even if he is dating you. It's just part of who he is. But if you get overly close to someone else, Asmo will be jealous.
Being the Avatar of Lust, desire runs high. If you value monogamy, there will be issues. Asmo needs attention constantly, and he will get it from whoever is willing to give it to him.
This need for constant attraction will lead to a need for high physical intimacy. At any given moment, Asmo could need you, and if you are not available or don't want to, he will throw tantrums and go to another person.
Physical beauty is important to him, so he will need a partner who equally maintains their beauty. If you let go of yourself or stop caring, Asmo will no longer be attracted to you. He will break up with you.
He has no boundaries. If you are secretive or value privacy, you will have trouble with Asmo's constant need to share everything on social media without limits. He might actually end up sharing personal things that you won't want him to tell others.
Beel
His constant need to eat could rub off on you, and you could end up eating excessively. There will be times when Beel will also force you to eat, and if you say no, he might get upset, as sharing food is one way of showing his love.
There is a high chance that most of your money might end up being spent after Beel's gluttonous tendencies. At times, you might end up in trouble if you can't pay off his bills. Be prepared to wash a few dishes or so.
Since his family has been through a lot, Beel might be overly protective of you. He is not trying to be dominating, but he doesn't want you to get hurt, so he might just follow you around everywhere or forbid you from going somewhere. His fear of losing someone else is still weighing on his heart.
You will have to give in to Belphie's wishes, no questions asked. If Beel learns that you upset his twin or said something to hurt him, he will be very sad and distance himself from you. Moreover, just to date him, you will need Belphie's approval.
Since Beel doesn't understand many things, there will be times when you have to explain situations to him like you would to a child. This could lead to frustration, especially if you are not feeling emotionally or mentally well.
Belphie
The Avatar of Sloth is lazy, so there will be times when he will not actively participate in the relationship. Sometimes, you might feel like you are talking to a wall and are in a one-sided relationship.
Also, due to his laziness, you will most likely have to take over his responsibilities and be responsible for him. You might have to constantly wake him up and remind him of studying, tests, homework, chores, and so on. This could also lead to Belphie becoming completely dependent on you, asking you to do this and that for him.
You will have to get along with Beel. Even if Beel does something wrong, you will have to take his side for Belphie's sake.
If you have long, emotional conversations with him when you are not doing well, you might just end up realizing he fell asleep halfway through the conversations. His sleep spells come and go as they please.
If you are adventurous and active, you might find it difficult to be around Belphie as he will not want to go anywhere with you or not move much. Most of your dates will be at home, where he is curled up to you and probably asleep.
His laziness might rub off on you, leading you to live a more lethargic lifestyle. This could impact your personal growth and goals.
Diavolo
Unless you are royalty yourself, there will be a huge power imbalance, and this, at times, could cause you to feel overwhelmed or overshadowed.
As a prince, Diavolo has high expectations for himself and for his partner. You will have to follow every rule, behave properly, and dress royally; you are expected to uphold a certain image and take responsibility. If you are not up for this, no matter how much Diavolo loves you, he won't be able to continue the relationship with you.
Much like Diavolo is currently experiencing, you will have to face public scrutiny. The residents of Devildom will constantly subject you to their opinions and judgments. Some will be rude, while others will make fun of you or say you are not worthy - you will have to face all of it for your sake and the prince's sake.
With all the responsibilities and duties, Diavolo will not have much time for you. This could lead to you feeling neglected, but it is out of Diavolo's hands since he has to take care of a realm.
Due to his status and position, there will always be enemies lurking around, which could put you in danger. For this reason, Diavolo will be very strict with you about following rules and regulations, such as not stepping out without a bodyguard.
Your relationship will not have much privacy as everywhere you go, everything you do will become news. Your entire life will be for the public of Devildom to view as they please.
Barbatos
Barbatos is known for having a lot of secrets; moreover, since he works with Diavolo, he is expected to maintain secrecy and discretion. There will be many things you won't know about him and many things he will never tell you. You are not allowed to poke your nose into his secret, or he will be forced to end things with you. In fact, when you start dating him, this will be one of his requirements.
His priority is and always will be Diavolo. Barbatos has sworn unwavering loyalty to the prince, and even if you are married to him, he will always give Diavolo's needs more attention. At extreme levels, in case there is an attack on the castle, Barbatos will be responsible for saving the prince before you. But he will clarify all of this before he agrees to date you.
The butler is a master at playing mind games, so there might be times when he mentally manipulates you without you even realizing it. If you pick up on it, this could lead to trust issues. Moreover, he has the power to alter timelines, so who knows which timeline the two of you are currently in and how many other outcomes came before this one?
Barbatos does not openly display emotions; even his emotions are calculated, and he only reveals what he wants to reveal. You will never understand his motives either. In a sense, you won't ever meet the real Barbatos as he will never show you or anyone else that self.
Due to his duties, he won't be able to reserve much time for you. This could lead to loneliness or even a strain in the relationship. He might even have to miss important dates and events for the sake of his duties.
Barbatos is good at everything, and while he will never make you feel like you are less, it could lead to insecurities. You might find yourself asking, 'Am I good enough for him' more than you expect. If you ask him, he will always say yes, but ultimately, you will have to arrive at the answer yourself.

If Jason had been written to have atleast somewhat of a jealousy streak of Percy, then it would have made him more human tbh. Ironically I feel like the fandom would've been much more empathetic to his character, if he acknowledged that he envied Percy a little and then came to terms with it. We know that Jason's fear of being 2nd best is a very integral part of his character, I mean, Gaia taunting him with that in his nightmares was enough to reduce him into tears. and that's the ONLY time we've even remotely seen him cry. Percy had so many things Jason didn't have, a loving mom, a loving girlfriend who took a knife for him and never broke his heart, a loving camp that looked for him endlessly after he went missing, people ACTUALLY wanting him to survive because they care about him not because they need him for glory, etc. and if im being honest Poseidon wasn't even that bad of a father (for a big three god, atleast) tbh he still came to percy's 15th birthday, invited him to fishing, genuinely loved sally, she was probably the only mortal he fell in love with and it stayed that way, he was never rude to percy and stuck up for him etc. not tryna say percy had it easy or anything ofc he didnt, but there is no point in denying that he had a MUCH better support system than jason ever had.
The fact that Jason despite having none of these things was not even remotely envious of Percy made him appear like a bland robot with no emotional baggage
Compare this to Nico, who was rightfully a little jealous/idolizing Percy while simultaneously having a crush on him, also a little jealous of Jason because he was "the golden boy" who everyone respected, it made him have SO much depth and the fandom loves him (rightfully so)
also, leo. He was resentful of Percy up until blood of Olympus because of how everyone loved him, how Calypso fell for him almost immediately, etc. it's very realistic.Jason feeling a little resentful of Percy and then later talking it out would've made his character much less of a shallow stereotypical nice guy that ppl dislike.
maybe Rick could've expanded on Jason's jealousy of how quickly camp Jupiter accepted Percy and how quickly Reyna made him praetor, when jason himself had dedicated his whole life to it and was only made praetor in the last couple months, how camp Jupiter and his supposed friends never held a memorial for him even after they thought he was dead, etc. Also how Percy spent more time with thalia than jason ever did, we know he did feel a little envious since he mentioned how much he wished thalia looked for him the way she was looking for percy
I would've loved to see Jason being a little cold to Reyna too because of this and then they later talk it out, since it's VERY realistic, I was surprised with how quickly jason shrugged the whole Percy- being- a -praetor thing off, I thought he'd have felt a little betrayed by Reyna considering that they were childhood friends, and reyna never really sent a search party or something after him like annabeth did, gods, the amount of angst potential this man had i love him ugh

me psychoanalyzing sanji x male reader some moreeee
-> i'm actually sanji's #1 lover, especially after re-reading wci i'm so deeply EMPATHETIC WITH THIS MAN and i fear his content will consume my entire blog.
warning : sanji is really insecure and has rlly low self esteem sorry
sanji probably gets jealous very easily. like...concerningly very easily and each time he feels himself getting jealous it's literally borderline insane. it practically drives him to insanity.
oh my god this + his history with how fliratious he was with others, it drives him up a wall. he realizes quickly that his past actions on how he treated others before he got into a LOYAL relationship with you haunts him to this day.
everytime he sees you interact with anyone, man or women (for some reason, his jealousy is driven up even higher when it's a woman, though), he feels like he wants to take you into his arms and stake a very obvious claim on you as his and him as yours. it's a seemingly very childish thing, but to him, it's the most serious situation in the world. he doesn't want you looking at other women, he doesn't want you looking at other men - he wants to feel like he is enough for you and the best way you can do that is by giving all your attention to him.
and his jealousy only grows the more and more your attention isn't on him.
then the envy starts bleeding into guilt and overthinking. because to him: you're his one and only, there's never going to be anyone else after you - and if there was anyone else before you, well, they're nothing in his mind anymore. you are his entire being. it's like you're the sun and he's every other planet - his life and worth all revolve around you. all of his thoughts, from the moment he wakes up to when he sleeps, are just you. you're his everything.
when he starts seeing you talk to anyone else but him, it makes him overthink all of his past actions that led him up to this point. are you finally going to leave him? did you find someone better? is his past as a womanizer going to make you realize you don't want to be with him anymore?
then he goes through a phase where he dotes on you especially hard. he repeatedly tells you every single second of every single day, he loves no one but you and that he loves you with his entire being. it's concerning, to hear him so devotedly speak about his love for you as if he is going to disappear the next second. but he's only speaking like this because he thinks that ^ is going to happen, but it being you instead of him that disappears.
he fears that everyday he wakes up, you're not going to be beside him. you'd wake up in the middle of the night and realize you deserve better (because you do, in his mind, you deserve much better than him) and you're gonna leave him and the crew. and there's going to be no way they can find you because they are drifting on the ocean and just like that, you're going to be gone forever.
so yes, sanji does have a jealousy problem, but it's so much more than that. it stems deep, deep, deep down to his own self-esteem and his guilt on his past behavior. please be nice to him or his mental might completely crumble at the thought of you thinking he's just some sort of womanizer and lovesick fool.
he just needs constant reassurance and convincing that you're going to stay with him and a lot of affection and he might, maybe, maybe, just be okay. he just really needs you to be there for him.

i always love asking ppl this; how does your character (du drow) see themselves .vs. how they are seen by others (loved ones, friends, acquaintances, etc)
That is a good question!
When it comes to his self-perception, DU Drow assumes he cuts a very intimidating and off-putting figure at worst - and someone impressive and powerful at best.; he doesn't care either way as long as it favors him in either being left alone or getting what he wants out of people. He believes himself to appear confident and as having little regard for other people besides for his tight-knit group of friends and partner. He does believe that he's reliable - and even caring, as weirdly as he may express it. Not particularly intelligent but not dense enough to seem like an idiot. When it comes to more complex stuff - his needs, wants, beliefs, and how that comes across - his self-understanding is extremely lacking and vague. He doesn't have much of a point of comparison, however, so he doesn't really grapple with that.
When it comes to strangers (at least on the surface) he is pretty much right that he comes across as a scary, powerful person. Funnily enough, in the Underdark he is way less impressive to most of the population - a strange sight nonetheless, but his tactics don't work as well on it's citizens. Most drow don't know what to make of him, and generaly don't take him seriously or assume him to be half-something else or even not a drow at all.
(Shadowheart's and Astarion's POVs below, NOTE: these are based on what their relationships are like at the end-game/post-game, obviously there would be some significant differences if we were to talk about first-impressions and so on)
Shadowheart, being his closest friend, sees DU drow as kind of a doofus. She understands him as an animal with simple motivations and impulses, and has no real interest in pushing him to be anything else - in fact she envies how simplistically DU drow seems to view life and every hurdle that it throws his way, and looks up to him for seeming largely unaffected by his circumstances and unburdened by the things he has done/have happened to him. She does think he's a very fun person to be around - and someone she can say anything to and trust him to tell her exactly whats on his mind back, and generally tell her to pull herself by the bootstraps instead of letting her wallow in misery - she has overall a lot of respect and appreciation for the guy, though she doesn't express it too often since she thinks his ego is inflated enough. She isn't afraid or unnerved by him in the slightest and is kind of amused at how much other people are - she pretty much forgets that he looks like a freak.
As his romantic partner, Astarion's perception on him is fairly different. He thinks a bit more highly of Du drow's intellect than it probably appears, and finds it frustrating that he guy just doesn't seem to want to entertain a lot of... Thinking. He knows he can be perceptive and insightful based on how he treats him, but for whatever reason never applies that to himself, and the more they grow to know each other the more he thinks it's just a barrier DU drow has set up so he doesn't have to grapple with the things he's done and what he is. He is under no illusions that DU drow isn't a egoistical, blood-thirsty person (he likes those things about him, anyway) but worries that one day something will click in his brain, and all that willful ignorance will culminate into something terrible. He also thinks DU drow is a far more empathetic person than himself.
He really likes DU drow's company for his unfiltered demeanor - he thinks he's funny and a good listener (lol) and finds a lot of comfort in being with someone who seems incapable of hiding how they feel about him and their relationship, and doesn't think DU drow has much capacity for being manipulative or deceptive. Naturally he adores how much DU drow seems willing to devote himself to him, but it bothers him that it sometimes seem to veer into weird, damsel-in-distress-fantasy territory. Basically there's a lot about the guy that Astarion both likes and doesn't simultaneously.

Levi Analysis !!
OKAY LEVIS BIRTHDAY ANALYZING HIM WITH DR PEPPER IN MY DR PEPPER SHIRT LETS GO YIPEE
Brief description of his character, Leviathan is the 3rd eldest/most powerful brother of the seven. He’s the sin of envy, for some reason a Navy general, but mostly known for his introverted personality and social anxiety.
In Celestia, Leviathan carried out a similar role. But unlike the other brothers, he wasn’t much happier than he was in Devildom. In Nightbringer, Leviathan says that he felt like he didn’t belong anywhere. He felt like he had no purpose, which is likely why he took on these big roles, feeling like without them he’s just a waste of space. Touching on this, that’s one of the reasons for his sin. I’ve talked about this before, but because of the displacement Leviathan felt, his reaction was one of envy, looking down on himself for what others had that he didn’t, and once he did have it, moved on to something else. He can’t be satisfied because of this, which is why he constantly plays games that he can consistently level up in or at least use to distract himself. That could also be one of the reasons he has so many outbursts. If you’re constantly distracting yourself, when you’re not able to, you don’t handle it as well. Instead of being like Belphegor, though, all of the external and internal self hatred causes Leviathan to lash out in a different way. Instead of having an annoyed reaction, he has more of a “How dare you?” reaction. I can assume this is because he feels like everyone has so much more than him, which leads to him thinking that because everyone must have so much more than him, they must be trying to brag.
This is also why he is so protective and obsessive about his interests. When he finds something, he wants to make sure he stays at the top of it, so he can at least be good at something. When that’s challenged, he starts feeling worse than normal, and that form of escapism isn’t really escapism but more like a chore or something he has to do to just stay at the top of. I could imagine that he also feels like a failure and blames himself for Lilith’s death. His job in Celestia had to do with keeping people safe after all, and he couldn’t even do that for the person closest to him. Not only that, but after everything he was still thrown out. Now he had to start over again, with people actually judging him. After he fell from Celesita, Leviathan felt isolated. He didn’t have a title here, or anything to do but sit back and play his games. Until he met Henry, he felt totally alone, his brothers didn’t really want to interact very much, and if they did there were pretty much always arguments or fights. Once he met Henry, he felt like he could understand someone for once, even if that someone was just a snake. Snakes are known for being feared, or seen as vermin that need to be removed. He could probably empathize with the snake, especially after Henry had pretty much wandered into their house, where he wasn’t really welcome. Leviathan had similar features as Henry, too, with his tail being similar to serpents or sea snakes.
But eventually, he had to let that snake go. Not because it was unhappy, it was really the opposite. Him and the snake got along too well, but Leviathan was too insecure to see that. He thought he was holding the snake back, so he opened the tank to let him go, and Henry left because he thought Leviathan needed more friends. This reminds me of Leviathan’s relationship with MC in a way. In a lot of the chats Leviathan is in, he’s insulting himself, talking about how MC is the only person to understand him, or apologizing in the form of self deprecation. He probably feels like MC deserves better than him and is trying to give MC excuses for why they should leave him.
Leviathan is also extremely empathetic. I feel like a lot of people ignore this side of him, but he has a tendency to give inanimate objects personalities or feelings, like how he was afraid to go into a store alone because he felt like the clothes were judging him. One of the articles I read on this said this could be because of over inclusivity, which would make sense because if you feel left out you’re more likely to try harder to not let anything else feel the same.
I HAVE MORE TO SAY BUT IM RLLY ON A TIME CRUNCH RN AND HAVENT HAD MUCH MOTIVATION IM SORRY </3
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEVIATHAN I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH

I'll repeat what I always say: wwx is a good person. a person full of empathy who helps others, no matter what harm it will bring him. based on that, he can't stand by and watch someone suffer injustice. wwx's "hero complex" is not a complex lol. he follows the jiang sect's mantra of trying the impossible, he does not accept injustice, he is a good and empathetic person. this combination alone explains his actions. "his actions killed jc's family" which actions? let's analyze, think about the scene where he prevents mianmian from being sacrificed and saves lwj and jzx from the tyrannical abuses of the wen sect. firstly, I will highlight the event that was not highlighted in the novel, but should have been
the cloud recesses library fire. the wen had no reason to go there, no plausible excuse. anything. just wen chao's envy for lwj being one of the best in archery ranking. independently, because of "disobedience", they invaded one of the major sects and burned a very important property >this< was the first great sign of war. the second was to invite the heirs and best disciples to an indoctrination and shove the irrefutable rules of lay wen down their throats
returning to the xuanwu slaughter cave, wwx caught the attention of the wens and saved lwj and jzx, indirectly, mianmian and later saved her from being branded with the wen iron, hurting jiao in the process. that is, he called the attention of the wens to him, saved everyone in the cave and in the end killed xuanwu
those were wwx's "hero complex" actions. and the lie is that the wens attacked the lotus pier because of them. Coming back to the lan sect library fire, the wens had no motive, so they created the motives to attack. they wanted power. whr wanted to dominate the other sects i.e. he would keep attacking until he managed to take down the rest of the sect leaders and claim the title as supreme leader
now let's talk about the lotus pier attack.
since wen ruohan planned to attack all sects, of course lp was on the list. of course he would go there. so don't you dare say "could have been avoided if wwx—" bullshit. they attacked the lan sect, what makes you think they wouldn't advance? that they wouldn't keep attacking? in the novel it even says that wrh had already dominated several minor sects before, the other leaders just pretended not to see. he was gaining power until he finally had enough strength to advance on the biggest opponents.
"but at cloud recesses it was just a fire!!! they took over the lp!!!" another part of the novel that unfortunately wasn't as highlighted as it should have been: the wens wanted to make an observatory at lotus pier. from the beginning, all they wanted was the place, because it was favorable. jiao even talks about the decor of the place. they wanted the place and the big difference this time was that they had an excuse. the excuse was the wwx hero complex? no. that's what yzy and the wens made it look like, but the excuse was disobedience. if the wens wanted to be supreme, no one should dare to rebel. "It's not my fault, who use my power to oppress and kill you, but yours, for not obeying the insane, unfair and absolute orders I give!" for fuck's sake, mxtx even uses a reason as ridiculous as "the orange ball that was drawn on that kite that fell looks like the sun, so it means a form of rebellion for our absolute Empire!", the stupid reason jiao uses for start the battle on lp. they needed excuses to even start the invasion
wwx actions killed jc's family you say. so was it wwx that made wrh a power-obsessed madman? was it wwx that burned the lan sect's library? Was it wwx who led an army to the lotus pier?

Raph headcanons
that I WILL inflict upon others in my upcoming fics!! (they are coming I promise):
Only meowed and chirped until he was 3. Then he started talking (in third person always. Ex: "is papa there? Can Leo move please? Mikey play with Raph! Raph is hungry" <- Mikey started speaking before him and used to translate his meows.
Did NOT know how to control his temper, got into a lot of trouble when roughousing or fighting with his brothers.
Always won arguments with either being the oldest (i have authority) or being the biggest (shut up or I'll punch you).
His ass was NOT a gentle kid. VERY prone to violence. WOULD throw punches at everyone and only then ask what was happening when fights broke between the brothers (mainly the twins, Mikey had a pass for being the youngest and his bff).
A cuddlebug tho. Would hug just as frequently as throw punches.
Very protective. He can mess with the little goobers he calls brothers, no one else can.
Had an existencial crisis in his tweens because he thought his brothers were scared of him/disliked him (tension mainly between him and Donnie).
Was closest to Mikey the most because of their shared braincell. Partners in crime, Mikey's violent tendencies were fed most in this period of time- and then never went away.
Would bully (read: prank and mess with) the twins most. Often acompanied by Mikey.
Their relationship only started drifting when Raph hit his tweens (10-11?) and started being scared of hurting his brothers.
Started hanging out with Leo more than Mikey after that and since then they're the hotshower duo (red = rot and blue = water).
Told Leo a pun once. Leo laughed for days and then started making puns all the time. He regrets it to this day. They all laughed in the start, but then they realized he would NOT stop.
Secretly envied Donnie for being so smart because he thought of himself as a bad brother for being "dumb" (autistic).
100% on the spectrum. Very literal flavored autism and overemotional (empathetic). Used fighting as a stim before Donnie taught them what stimming was.
Donnie's.

Made a Hazbin Hotel OC, here she is. I'm thinking about rewriting this show.
(Note: I have not watched Hazbin Hotel aside from the pilot because I have no interest.)
Her name is Mari Farfalle, she's a butterfly demon and Sir Pentious's wife in both life and death (I hate Sir Pentious x Cherri because it feels extremely forced, so screw it).
Likes:
Sir Pentious
Egg Bois
Violence
Dissecting creatures
Collecting hearts
Tea
Cake
Romantic gestures
Dislikes:
Angel Dust and Cherri Bomb
Sir Pentious being harmed
Soda
Not being able to dissect creatures
Cherries
Valentino
1960s fashion
Peace
1700s Fashion
Backstory:
Mari was a British woman born around the early to mid 1860s and was the heiress to an extremely wealthy family at the time. However, Mari often felt distant and antisocial compared to what a lady should've been during the Victorian Era. She was a sociopath with very little empathy and love towards anyone, she only either hated people or felt neutral towards them. She was very violent and the only thing that brought her joy was violence and tearing people apart.
One day, her family married her off to Sir Arthur Price (Sir Pentious real name before he died). Mari and Arthur's relationship was neutral until she figured out that he was a supervillain plotting world domination and a brilliant scientist who could create machinery far beyond what was normal for the time. To Arthur's shock, Mari was delighted to learn this and personally started funding his machinery due to the fact that she didn't quite possess his skill. Arthur and Mari started to actually fall in love this time.
One day, however, one of the house servants figured out Arthur's plans and Mari's involvement and ratted them out. They were both put on trial and were sentenced to death by electrocution. Both Arthur and Mari died on November 27, 1890.
Personality:
Mari is a dramatic and hammy supervillain alongside her husband in Hell, just with the added bonus of being a sadistic sociopath. She has no regard for any of the sinners and views them all neutrally. Along with her husband, she despises Angel Dust, Cherri, and any sinner that acts remotely similar to them and wants to dissect them when they finally lose to her and Pentious
Despite her sociopathy and cold hearted nature, she genuine loves Pentious, she just trouble expressing it in a way that either doesn't sound like she's manipulating him or in a empathetic way. She also shares his attitude towards the Egg Bois and cares for them.
Trivia Time:
She was in her early 30s when she died and Arthur was around his late 30s.
Mari loved brutally dissecting animals and keeping parts of their organs, it was one of the few things in life that brought her joy. She still does so in Hell.
She also want to dissect Angel and Cherri like mentioned above, what she wants to do to them specifically is sew their kidneys together and take their hearts as a prize.
Mari adores Victorian surgery due to how bloody and violent it was back then, she's disappointed that surgery in Hell or even in life anymore isn't like that anymore.
Mari hides her other sets of arms and wings like Angel Dust does to surprise her victims, but she mainly uses her other arms while dissecting sinners who crossed her path.
She can play fake facades up extremely well, she mainly does this to Charlie since she doesn't care about redeeming herself.
Has a pretty big ego, sinners learn the hard way that badmouthing her is not a good idea unless you're willing to start living with stitches and missing organs.
her sins in life were Pride, Envy, and later Wrath. (In my rewrite, I'd say that souls go to Hell if they commited crimes while having two or more of the Seven Deadly Sins as personality traits.)
Describes stuff she likes in extreme detail.
She's a butterfly in Hell because she envied their beauty when alive and ripped off their wings if one came close to her. She still has a collection of ripped wings.
Mari also has a heart collection, its the organ she likes the most.
Bonus: Art Dump.
Tumblr media
I tried to make her in Vivzie's actual style before going "screw it" and just made Mari in my own. This is her anatomy if your wondering.
Tumblr media
Just her talking to Charlie about a sinner she killed and dissected that also badmouthed both her and Pentious.
Tumblr media
Just a lady and a heart she stole.

Just rewatched all six episodes of Willow again (because why not). And God, I do not envy Kit or Elora’s struggles.
We’ve all talked a lot about Mads and Sorsha choosing Elora over Kit and how that comes off to her as their actual daughter. I dunno if we’ve dived into the first couple of episodes where Jade is even choosing Elora, because she has a duty to the crown and kingdom. She even tells Kit in episode one that, if she were her friend, Kit wouldn’t ask her to choose between her and her duty. Thank God, they finally found their footing (interesting that part of Jade’s arc of finding and choosing herself is choosing Kit when no one else will).
But man, rewatching that scene where Allagash sacrifices himself? A man who Kit has heard stories about from her father (unlike Boorman). Finally, someone from her dad’s past that she vibes and connects with and, when he makes the sacrifice, he’s not only confirming that Mads thought Elora was the most important thing, but that he himself also agrees. There’s no way Kit possibly thinks any of this sacrifice is for her; it’s just one more person who she thought cared for her choosing Elora and telling her to protect her. So, add that to your layers of Kit’s diminishing self-worth.
Then we got Elora, that poor girl. She’s spent her entire life thinking she’s some ordinary kitchen girl with no impact, no power. Nothing. And now the entire weight of the world is on her shoulders. Two women she barely knew died in her name. A barrier was put around an entire kingdom to protect her. Her new friends are constantly in danger just by being associated with her. And in this recent episode, she sees the full weight of how her very existence is actively harming people she considers friends. Mads has been missing, presumably because of her. And that absence has weighed so heavily on Kit that it’s causing her to lash out at the only person associated with the problem that’s physically there. And Elora is kind and compassionate enough to take the lashing, but this was never something she asked for. And she feels the guilt of it all, because she knows that these things were done on her behalf even if they were things she never would have asked for or wanted. But they were done for her, so they must be her fault, right? Elora’s too empathetic not to internalize that.
God, it’s gonna take a lot to build a foundation for Kit and Elora, because a group of adults destroyed it before Kit was even born. But that’s one of the messages of the show. Graydon told us and Kit in episode one that we don’t have to make the choices our parents did; we can do things our way. Kit and Elora are going to fix the mistakes their parents made in their desire to do the right thing. It’s just going to be difficult.

This was a request. There was some preamble before it, but it was a very personal story. First, I am sorry you delt with the experience Nonie, especially at such a formative time in your life. The world is unkind to people who do not fit a perfect ideal of femininity. I wish it was more kind and gentle and taught us to love ourselves rather than tearing us apart limb from limb. I just want you to know that I appreciate your vulnerability and sharing your experience.
Satan
He'll tell you constantly that he does not care what you look like. It's good enough so stop worrying about it and focus on literally anything else. It's rough around the edges, but he's trying to say that you are beautiful so there is no reason to get hung up on your insecurities.
It's not empathetic, but it is genuine from a devil's point of view. After all, why would you ever be anything but sure of yourself? There is no one better in the world than yourself and the rest of the universe has to fucking get over it.
He's not exactly the nurturing type, but it's still more than he seems to give his subordinates. With them, he seems to smack them and tell them to pull themselves together. That means you're special in a way. Maybe?
Mammon
He loves every inch of you. Every part that makes you who you are -- all his to admire and desire -- is wonderful and he will tell you that as he kisses you until you are utterly breathless.
Now you say it too. That's right. Good human.
Damn! He would love to hear you praise yourself and call yourself attractive. Instant love potion/aphrodisiac right there.
He would also love to watch you ride his dick so he can see your chest bounce for him. He was no lying when he said he loved all of you (even if he plays favorites with your ass).
Beelzebub
He is going to have to prove how beautiful you are the best way he knows how: by fucking (the horndog). His favorite place is between your legs, but that doesn't mean he can ignore the chest he loves so much.
If you are insecure about your chest, he will love it and make it feel good until your brain and all those insecurities melt out of your ear. He will do it everyday until you learn to find some kind of pleasure in your chest the way he does.
Listen, he's best at speaking through his body and not so much through his words. He just knows he wants you.
Leviathan
Yo! Him too! You can both wallow in your insecurities and envy together... except he would get so upset if you did that because it sucks to listen to beautiful people have insecurities.
It's awful and you need to shut up. He'll even go on a long-winded explanation of everything he envies about you in excruciating detail.
He doesn't really realize how embarrassing it would be to hear him praise you so highly; he's just salty and ranting in a strangely praising way.

So, this is long so I'm putting it under a read more. It's just going to be me rambling on about Don and Carmen.
I love Don x Carmen or CarDon as I call it. It is pretty much my Punch-Out!! OTP. And I really hate when they're portrayed as toxic, cheating on each other and while I mostly fault the devs on this one, I really dislike when some use Title Defense Don to make Carmen out to be a gold-digging bitch who dumps him for losing or her leaving him for another boxer. I much rather prefer Don and Carmen being a loving, supportive and happy couple and she still stays with him even after he loses to Mac. And though they, like any couple, have their hiccups, they still love each other.
You have Don, who is this smug, cocky douche (but we love him anyway) and and a ladies’ man. Then there’s Carmen, who I headcanon to be a model, a fashionista, and who I also see as being sweet, kind, friendly, and empathetic who loves and supports her man. She is the sunshine to Don's grump. She is one of those people that brings out Don’s softer side. Carmen knows that underneath all that ego, there is the sweet, romantic Don she fell in love with. Also, Don naming a move after her, he mentions her during fights and even dedicates his fights to her? It's so WHOLESOME! And she goes to his matches to cheer him on. As for him being a ladies' man, Carmen is rather amused by the fangirls, who probably envy her for being with Don. She is all "I don't blame them. I'd be the same, too".
Title Defense Don, I just see him being upset over losing, not because he got dumped by Carmen for losing. Again this, I blame the devs for making it seem to be that way. Maybe Don is so used to being the Major Circuit champion and bragging about it and he’s just salty over being defeated by a teenager. It could be other things too like his image, losing some fans, what his family would think, etc. I like to think that maybe at first he thought all of that also meant losing Carmen too. But again, I don’t see Carmen dumping Don for losing. If anything, as I said, I see her still staying with him, still giving him support and even dressing goth along with him, being the fashion icons they are. Even if he loses again, there is Carmen to be his rock and to comfort him. She would also encourage him to keep going and not give up. She always reminds him that title or no title, he is still a champion in her book.
Also, can we talk about how CarDon has been pretty much a thing since the 1987 NES Punch-Out!! game? Yes, since 1987, Carmen was mentioned. It wasn't just Punch-Out!! Wii.
Tumblr media
And there’s this chibi art of Don from the 1987 Punch-Out!! Japanese player guidebook that has him with a woman, believed to be Carmen. It could just be a random woman but who knows? With the small Carmen mention, this could possibly be her. Will only be posting the edit done by my pal @boltun-tkn (thanks again!) since the OG is...let’s just say, VERY cursed.
Tumblr media
Punch-Out!! Wii from 2009 has him mentioning Carmen a lot. Just like the chibi art, in Don’s Contender slideshow, it could be assumed the blonde in that awful dress (sorry I can’t defend that LMFAOOO) Don is offering the rose to is Carmen. The fandom has pretty much accepted that girl to be her but with a redesigned outfit or her in another outfit. I also admit I love seeing other people’s takes on Carmen and they're all gorgeous, LOVE ALL THE CARMENS! 🙌🏽
Tumblr media
And here is Don's VA Juan Amador Pulido, briefly talking about the Carmen lines and referring to her as "Don's beloved". It's so flippin' cute how Juan was quick to mention that his wife is also named Carmen! It's amusing too because I headcanon Don's actual first name to be Juan, not just because his VA's name but Don looks like a Juan OK? LMAOOOO
With this, I am now going to declare Juan as the captain of the CarDon ship!
I also love the idea of Don and Carmen contrasting not just in personality but also in appearance like her being the pink to his red, her voice being much calm and soft and his being gruff, or when Don is in Title Defense, he dyes his hair black and Carmen, going goth in support, dyes her hair platinum blonde.
In short, I love and ship CarDon so much and I am happy when I see more love for them, for Carmen, and more content of them being happy, in love, and so sweet instead of the "they cheat on each other", "Carmen is a bitch because she dumps him", and other BS.
I will end my ramblings about my favorite biconic (yes, I headcanon them both as bi) Spanish rose couple.

so um.
stuff about the HIE Squad:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Serial Designation H:
This birb brain (affectionate) is empathetic, geeky, talkative (only with someone she is close to), stoic, introverted, and envious.
When she was a maid back on Earth, H was one of the many Workers who were constantly yelled on the auditory system by her human superiors. She endured hell in the manor, such as shielding her face from a utensil thrown on it for not following manor etiquette and getting thrown into the pile of decommissioned Workers for making a mess in a guest room due to being told to clean up a dust bunny when it didn't really matter to H. She now wears a mask to hide the injuries and continues so as a DD to soften incoming damage.
After CYN's massacre, H was sent to Copper 9 as part of a squad composing of I and E to eliminate traces of the Absolute Solver. H's memory of SD-I being the one behind her feathery companion's murder (she let, hid, and observed a "black bird's" activities in the manor like Hunter with Flapjack in TOH) is erased, but she still retains the trauma of losing one of her only two friends on Earth. Due to I's incessant and poor criticisms of his squadmates, H decided to work independently and became perceived as a cold/merciless individual.
(I personally think of H as a harbinger of sorts cause one of her ways to scope prey is perching on high structures, such as a street lamp, and watching Workers' movements intently before diving at them)
Evidently, the caped DD originally enjoyed killing the Workers because she felt envious for them being free from human control while H was not....yet. At some point, she comes to believe that perhaps the Workers did in fact deserve the freedom they got.
Maybe H will fly with them too.
In a lighthearted note, H is very knowledgeable and talkative about birds, especially the "black ones" outside of the manor (although this bothered E since his systems retain the memory of him being pecked to death by those birds while chained to a tree back on Earth). She got into the subject during one of her breaks at the building's library where H was tasked to sort books on their respective shelves and put them in "perfect positions." She also likes collecting stuff, such as animal bones and frozen owl pellets, and took up photography when she became a DD to pass the time between her hunts.
I feel like H does take pictures of her prey's "faces of pain and agony" before killing them as a way to project her feelings of being subjected to abuse back in the manor (her systems still retain that memory as CYN’s weapon against the Solver) through envy.
Serial Designation I:
The boss of H and E's squad is mimetic, playful, insufferably charismatic, deceptive, and impulsive. When he worked as a butler, SD-I tried to blend in with the other humans, only to develop unhealthy habits along the way (ex: as a DD, I consumes large quantities of oil not done by a normal DD like how humans get drunk). Furthermore, he looks down upon his own kind since I was extremely focused on escaping a mundane life as a Worker.
At some point after the separation of his squad due to H finding out about E's "murder" (he gets cloned and sent back to Copper 9 like J, after getting turned into a big eldritch worm) at the local Cabin Labs, a frustrated SD-I sets out to find better and competent Disassembly Drones to eliminate more traces of the Solver. It's driven by the fact he's trying to keep his title as one of JCJ's top-performing squads, so he wasn't really allowed to hunt on his own.
(SD-I was the one that sacrificed E to the Sentinels and H, who was at a different part of the Cabin Labs her other squadmates were in, wasn't aware of this until later on. SD-I committed the act because E failed to do something in the hunt for Absolute Solver material)
However, SD-I gets struck by an identity crisis because what was he truly killing for? Were the branded pens worth it? Did the humans really think of their own creations as waste of trash? SD-I played many roles that he doesn't have one that really defines himself as a Drone.
First, he was a cook for the manor kitchen that studied the knife.
Second, he performed for the humans on stage and got thrown into the pile of decommissioned Worker Drones outside for playing the piano poorly.
Third, he became a squad leader with the intent of leading his "extras" to eliminate traces of the Absolute Solver.
And fourth, they failed to comply with his expectations and he's trying to find someone that is smart enough to work with him (but we know damn well many of the DDs have their personality faults that don't align with SD-I's expectations).
(Also changing I’s voice claim to Specter from Pac-man and the Ghost Adventures cause both characters share similar qualities/traits)
Serial Designation E:
He’s rational, creative, clumsy, impatient, and "kalm" ("Are you tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go apeshit?"; He is very, VERY violent at shredding his prey when he can't take things anymore). He's the third member of a squad composing of H and I.
Back on Earth, E originally served as a repair drone for the manor. However, an accident that led to a traumatizing punishment transferred him to the role of an accountant afterwards: because he is very good at numbers, E was glued to calculating manor costs.
As a Disassembly Drone, E tries to get his squad together to avoid delays in their hunt for Absolute Solver traces. Additionally, he relies on electroshock weapons, such as a taser, hacks technology, and "revives" dead Workers to turn into abominable weapons that would make Sid from Toy Story cackling in joy. He usually works in the backlines, but he hunts for Workers for the sake of surviving until the squad's mission is complete.
During a mission to the Cabin Labs, E failed to catch a Worker infected by the Absolute Solver and a furious I threw his colleague to the Sentinels to maul E, thus abandoning the inventor DD with the other dead DDs. H was not aware of this situation until she got an alarming context clue from I at some point, and the squad separated from there (kind of, cause H and a cloned E work together to stop I despite the inventor DD's discomfort of H's love for birds) with the increasing antagonism between H and I following.
In a light-hearted note, E is a gamer. He found a broken Tintendo Swap and a box full of games compatible with it in an abandoned apartment during one of his hunts. Through cartoon logic, E fixed the device and finds himself enjoying the kaizo(-inspired/like) games. Also, E’s hunts involve him doing “video game moves.”

Clockwise is a brilliant artificer working selflessly to unify flesh, metal and the arcane to improve the lives of all creatures in Equestria. He's very passionate about his life's work and spends most of his days tinkering away in his underground workshop. Being rather shy and a workaholic, Clockwise doesn't get out much and is prone to isolating himself and unintentionally pushing others out. Despite this, he's quite sensitive to the plight of others and will not hesitate to use his inventions to help another. He's something of a bleeding heart despite what his metallic body may suggest. This has come back to bite him more than once, most notably with his former apprentice, Cold Steel. A young Cold Steel had come across the fantastic brass pony one day and begged to be taken under his wing, though Clockwise didn't need much convincing after assessing the colt's talent. For years, Steel studied dutifully under Clockwise, eager to learn as much as he could, until Steel's bitterness and anger overtook him. Cold Steel believed his mentor had gone soft and grew to find his ideals and beliefs antiquated. After a heated, though one-sided argument, Steel left his mentor behind, never to return.

Headcanon from your DBH twst au (because you said that the tweels were there when Azul was a child) that the urge to fuck with Azul transcends all laws of physics and known universes. That's why the tweels became so human: it's because they just had to make sure to make Azul's life as difficult as possible no matter what. It's just a tragedy that fucking with him in this universe was basically to murder him to get his darling.
It’s a universal instinct that no amount of programming can snuff.
Although I do think that back then the tweels were much more robotic and detached because they were still so perfectly programmed and didn’t quite comprehend humanity in the way they do in present time in the au. But when Azul would come home in tears because of bullies at school and his parents weren’t home to comfort him, Floyd was always prepared with his favorite meal or toy to cheer him up. He attempted smiles for Azul’s sake, even if they didn’t look very natural, so I think that from a young age Azul was much closer to Floyd than he was with Jade. Floyd’s always been better at dealing with humans than Jade has. Jade can follow programs and run commands much easier than Floyd can, but he’s not very good at human interaction.
As the years pass and Azul matures, so do Jade and Floyd. Floyd becomes much sweeter and kinder—he’s a very empathetic android and has slipped into sentience much quicker than Jade has, which makes him such a unique specimen—whereas Jade becomes more secretive and colder. You could say Floyd learns all of the pleasant sides of human emotions, whereas Jade learns the rotten ones: unhealthy lust and obsession, envy, and hatred. There isn’t really any need for these feelings, but he learns of them when he meets you.
Both androids are naturally drawn to you because you’re a new face they have yet to form a connection with. Floyd has grown to consider you a friend, but Jade’s a little different because you spend the most time with him. Floyd isn’t around nearly as often as Jade is because he’s so busy when Azul takes him into the company to help organize his office or to take him abroad to meet other investors and CEOs. For these reasons, Floyd’s presence isn’t as distinct as Jade’s. Jade is always home with you, so he forms a deeper bond with you than the bond you share with Floyd.
Floyd would never hurt you and Azul. He is very loyal to the both of you and will protect you no matter what. Jade is not quite like that once he’s finally sunk deep enough into his obsession, valuing you over anything else. Azul was doing so good, too! :( he was improving as a husband and was making genuine efforts. It’s such a shame things turned out as they did. But if it’s any consolation, Jade really did meet his match with Azul and Floyd. They were able to damage him significantly, so at least there’s that! Even an android as strong as Jade has weak points.

To me, James and Silna are one of the most interesting dynamics of the show and give some of the most insights into James' character.
I felt that James' feelings towards her were (besides/after the racist prejudice) a mix of jealousy, envy and curiosity.
At first, when Silna and her father come onto the ship, we see James watch them. To me, he looked at her in confusion and shock/surprise.
From what he knew, there had been these strange white men who fucking shot her father, but instead of running away, hiding or being scared of them, she followed them out of worry and love for her father. She's angry, she isn't holding back, she's yelling; at the people who did this to him, who could do this to her, some of who refused to treat her father out of racism and hatred.
And then there's Francis who so easily slips into a foreign tongue, approaching her with care, trying to calm and reassure her that they mean no harm. James' has never seen Francis like this, this empathetic and caring.
It's a situation that is unfamiliar and new to James who, in the years of building his persona, had only seen order, ranks, rules, luxury. White people unwelcoming of "strangers", white people using their power and money. When was the last time he witnessed something so raw and real?
But at first, while Sir John is still there, who's full of prejudice and everything that makes white british men in power, we see him trying to keep the role up. To show Sir John that he's not vulnerable or moved by Silna's display of humanity. Because to John, to the white man, is Silna truly a human? From the british, powerful rank point of view, she isn't of worth as they are. She is below them.
That's what James is told. So why does she not give in? Why does she keep fighting back, standing up for herself, refusing alliance, when they have so much power over her? And why does Francis, who's only ever greeted him with distaste, treat her with care (from James' point of view as he obviously was still using his power over her, though not on the way that Franklin would've).
Over time, they meet again and again, Silna is being hunted, kidnapped, mistreated but she still won't back down. She is new. This isn't like the women in England. This isn't like the people who follow British rules and norms. What he sees is a human who is just unapologetically herself, who isn't afraid to be herself and who won't let herself be changed. She is everything that James is not.
I think that James feels jealous, envious and perhaps angry. Not just in one way, but in multiple.
First, in a simply human way. He is envious of her pride and selfhood. It reminds him of his own lies, failures, acting. The possibility of just being you, of not following the rules, was something James had buried and given up on (though there are norms, roles and traditions in natives communities as well, but it's not the world of money, rank and politics he knows).
Then, in the way of bonds and family. Seeing her go this far (going with those very people who shot her father, walking into a ship that's full of people who possibly hate her) and fight for her father, cry over him, him looking and whispering to her. A display of love and family he's never had. Despite the situation being horrifying, he can't help but be reminded of what he's never had.
There's Francis. We see him try to "comfort" Silna during her father's last moments, we see him give his condolences, talk to her in her tongue.
Wether you interpret James and Francis as platonic, romantic, professional – James had always admired Francis, him standing up for his opinions and his love for his subordinates.
But he knew that Francis did not like him, maybe not even respect him, and it did something to him. To see Francis treat someone outside their ranks, outside their culture, outside everything James knows, a "stranger" better than him; someone who he'd has known for years and closely worked with. (He can't help but compare Francis' behaviour towards Silna after her father's death versus Francis towards James after John's death) It doesn't occur to him that James' own behavior played a part here, too.
Later, when Silna is on Erebus, James orders her to be returned to Terror. In that moment, James does not view her as a whole person, he sees her as a weapon to use against Francis. To show him that he has power, too, that he is not below Francis.
But then Francis hits James, reminds him of his rank, in front of Silna and multiple subordinates. It was humiliating to him. It was a reminder.
I think, if you see James as queer or maybe just as curious, there might've been some form of gender envy as well. James sees Silna as a woman, but she is not a woman as he knows from England. It's a confirmation of sorts, that being a woman does not have to be that. That maybe he himself, could be a woman, too, in a way that's different to what he knows.
Then, if you look at their dynamic from Silna's view, there's a white man. Rich, in power, gets everything he wants handed to him. His men killed her father.
She isn't jealous of what he has, but she notices the way he looks at her. Like she has something that he wants. But it's not answers and information like the others do. It's silent.
He just looks, and she looks back, and she sees. I think she might've been the only character to look at him and truly see through his mask. She can't be fooled by nice, big british words, by rules of the military or whatever his rank asks of and gives to him. She just sees a man who has everything, but is unhappy. Who wants something that isn't material, or knowledge. It's something deeper and everytime they look at each other, she seems to figure him out more.
Did she like him? I don't know, I don't think so. But I do think there was pity, and just knowing. In their last interaction, when he gives her her things and they look at each other for a moment it was the most telling to me. He was harsh, but there was a vulnerability in his face and mannerisms.
Between them there was this sort of understanding/empathy, not of the situation or the ways they had mistreated her, but an understanding of her saying "I see you" and him saying "You see me".
In the end, he did not treat her well. He treated her badly. Was it out of hatred, malice? No. It was out of fear to look at himself. Feel himself under all the lies. Even if not with intent, cowardice and selfishness. He could not fight his mask off, surrounded by all the men who only knew him as such. But I think, under different circumstances, if he had taken the role of Goodsir in talking to her alone, it could've been different. He might've been able to take it off once in a while, in front of someone who would not have looked down on him for it. I think, in a different time, a different situation, they would've been friends – he would've liked to be her friend.
