When CBS‘ NCIS: Hawai’i resumes its third season this Monday at 10/9c, the “honeymoon” is over for Special Agent Lucy Tara.

Having gone undercover as “newlyweds” with partner Kate Whistler ahead of the island drama’s three-week break, Lucy finds herself very much in the thick of things when her assignment to protect a visiting Russian VIP takes all kinds of turns.

TVLine spoke with Yasmine Al-Bustami about what this season’s fifth episode (of 10) will reveal about Lucy and what sort of punches the eventual season finale will pack. Plus, we get the actress’ thoughts on the Jesus drama The Chosen Season 4 lighting up silver screens.

TVLINE | What is Special Agent Lucy Tara up to this week? Oh, she always gets herself into some trouble, which I feel like she likes — though this time she wasn’t even trying to get into trouble, I will say! She’s detailing this Russian lady who is visiting the island, and she does not want to be on the mission because, on surface-level, it’s just boring. Like, she would rather be doing other things. This lady [Tatiana] would be considered Russian “royalty,” in a way, but she’s very controversial, so when she gets onto the island you see that she does not have fans. She’s met with resistance, and Lucy gets into some trouble with her.

TVLINE | Lucy gets to express some opinions about this lady she’s protecting along the way, which I thought was quite enjoyable. So many opinions. She does not hold back and says it to her face. She definitely lets her know that she is also not a fan.

TVLINE | As Lucy and Tatiana interact, we get a bit more information about Lucy’s family back home. Did you appreciate that aspect of the episode? I loved it. I don’t know if Lucy appreciated it [Laughs], but for me, personally, I love anytime we learn about Lucy’s background and family history because she tries really hard to keep it quiet. She doesn’t really share much or open up too much, even to the people closest to her, unless someone happens to find out something if they do some digging. It’s not like Lucy is willingly sharing this information, so she is taken aback when this lady that she is protecting, Tatiana, all of a sudden is throwing at Lucy every little, small detail about Lucy’s family.

TVLINE | Any “firsts” for you as an actress in this particular episode? Driving in a Humvee! That was a blast. I really tried to be in there when… there’s a stunt that happens… but they said no. But we took it out into the jungle and were driving up on cliffs and everything.

There’s also a fight in the jungle. We’ve done fights before, but I’ve never done it on this kind of a terrain, where it was rainy and muddy and messy. For me, that’s more fun when it’s not a clean fight. I like it to be a little dirty.

TVLINE | What can you tease about anything else going on in the episode, regarding Kai and/or NCIS Elite? Oh, yes! We find out a bit more about NCIS Elite. Obviously, Sam (played by LL Cool J) has been a part of the team and some of us are still trying to figure out what he’s doing on the island, why he’s here, what his whole role is.

TVLINE | Not that we don’t love having him and his $200 Henleys around. [Laughs] Some people have a bit more of a problem with it than Lucy does. Lucy couldn’t care less, she’s like whatever, it’s fine, he’s not bothering me. And then with Kai (Alex Tarrant)…

TVLINE | Were there any outtakes from the “newlyweds” episode, any hijinks that you and Tori [Anderson] got up to that didn’t make it on-camera? I feel like that’s always the case. It’s so funny you ask, because me and Alex, who plays Kai, were talking about that just the other day, saying how we would love to see bloopers because we just did something that was so silly and yet we had to look all cool and everything. We were like, “If people only saw!”

One thing [from the “newlyweds” episode] that I am thinking of specifically…. We had a bunch of outdoor scenes, me and Tors, and usually if we’re outdoors we have our hair up because we’re on a mission or something, but our hair was down and so the wind was all over the place, blowing everything. So having to deal with that became a funny thing.

TVLINE | This week there’s a reference to Lucy and Kate going home to cuddle and watch “reality-TV.” What shows do you think they cue up? Love Is Blind. I feel like I could throw that out there….

TVLINE | Switching topics to The Chosen: Did you feel like that show “blew up” a bit once it started airing on The CW? Were you feeling some extra love, some extra attention? I mean, I was already feeling it beforehand, because the fans of that show are so loving and so warm. It was already an outpouring of love. So, I feel like there was more of that support than anything. The CW allowed the show to get more eyes on it, which opened it up to a broader audience, which I thought was really cool because that creates more types of conversations. They are talking about it not as just a religious show but as a good show, and that was a different kind of conversation to have.

TVLINE | When it started on The CW, I gave the people at my church a heads-up and now about a half-dozen of them are hooked. Every week at coffee hour, it’s like the first topic. Oh man, that’s so cool!

TVLINE | What’s been your biggest takeaway from your experience on The Chosen? Oh my gosh, it’s such a huge experience for me, especially since it’s a different kind of production than NCIS — that alone is really cool. Like, it’s just so indie and on-the-ground and in-the-trenches. I feel like I’ve grown up with it and to see how its grown and what its made of itself, and along with the people, a lot of the people are still the same… It’s just so cool to be part of something like that from the very beginning and not even be thinking, “Oh, hey guys, [when filming] Season 3, beginning of 4, we’re going to start airing on The CW.” Had no idea. Or that we’re going to air Season 4 in theaters. That was just not on anyone’s radar at all. Instead in the very beginning it was like, “Oh, we have this app. You can watch it on the app.”

TVLINE | What are you hearing about the NCIS: Hawai’i finale? What’s the gossip? Ohhhhhh, there’s so much gossip. It’s going to be a two-parter — I love those for sure, just selfishly — and today [Thursday] is our first day filming the last episode. So, there’s a lot of action, there is death….

TVLINE | I just hope nobody gets shot in the forehead like Charlie 1. I know. It was so gruesome. Oh my gosh, we love Linc [Hand]. If there was a way to bring him back….

Not the Only Option: Tom Holland x Girlfriend

Summary: Tom and his girlfriend are the leads/co-stars in the remake of Titanic, this is essentially a behind the scenes look at some scenes and banter between each other during filming.

Warnings: a few curse words, titanic events discussed based on the script found here. Otherwise fluff

“I’m just saying we could make it more authentic if we used real ice water” y/n shrugs, securing the life vest over her.

“Excuse me, I’m the one who would be in it” Tom scoffs, playfully glaring at her.

“We are both in the water Tom” she laughs.

“Says the one who will be hogging the door while the entirety of my body is in the water” Tom argues.

She shrugs and laughs, “I’m just following the script”.

Tom rolls his eyes jokingly, “if you say so”.

“You really think I’d take the life vest AND the whole door if we were in that situation?” She asks as her makeup artist adjusts the wet strands of hair on her face.

“Hmm maybe” Tom smirks.

“Wow, just because of that comment, I would now” She laughs.

“Alright, you two do know you have to pretend your characters are in love right?” Harry jokes, bringing Tom a cup of tea.

“I just don’t see how that’s love” Y/n laughs, “she left Jack with no chance”.

Tom nods in agreement.

“Didn’t they say it was proven even if he had made it onto the door they would’ve both died?” Harry defends.

“Mate don’t let your girlfriend hear that, just accepting their fate so easily” Tom laughs.

“You’re saying if you thought the door wouldn’t hold both of you that you still would have tried to get on it?” Harry protests, squinting at Tom.

“He doesn’t like the ocean” y/n reminds him.

“Ahh, true. So now I’m genuinely curious… let’s assume the door can only fit one person and that person is the only one who could survive” Harry says, crossing his arms.

“But I also have a life vest, so that’s two methods to-“ y/n argues, but Harry holds up a finger to silence her.

“Assuming the door is the only option for survival as the life jacket would just cause her hypothermic body to bob above the water, would you get on the door with her?” Harry asks, looking at Tom.

“He’d shove me off, as I said, he doesn’t like the ocean. You know it’s one of his phobias” y/n laughs softly, shaking her head at Harry.

“No, I wouldn’t get on the door” Tom says to Harry before facing y/n.

“As tempting as it may be to get out of the depths of the unknown, if it were truly at the cost of your life, no I wouldn’t do it” Tom corrects her.

She smiles sweetly at him, “same”.

“No. Nada. Nope. Not going to happen” Tom laughs, setting his tea down as his stylist makes adjustments.

“Excuse me?” Y/n scoffs, offended he so easily brushed her affections away.

“I wouldn’t let you” Tom smiles, looking at her from the corner of his eye as his stylist holds his head in place.

“Let me?” Y/n laughs in shock at her normally very progressive boyfriend.

“That’s right. Independent as you may be, you would not be allowed to do that if I were there” Tom shrugs.

Glaring teasingly at him, she laughs loudly, “you ever say that kind of thing about anything else and you won’t need to wait for the water to kill you”.

Tom laughs so hard his body moves, resulting in his stylist groaning and having to readjust him again.

“I love you Jack” y/n says, intentionally wavering her voice.

“No... don't say your good-byes, Rose. Don't you give up. Don't do it” Tom’s character pleads, reaching up from the vat of water he’s wading in to grab y/n’s character’s hand on the door.

“I’m so cold” y/n whimpers.

“You’re cold?” Tom jokes making her groan as they have to restart the scene.

“Alright, alright sorry love” Tom laughs.

Y/n reaches down from the door to splash some of the water around him on his face.

She smirks and shakes her head, “focus Holland”.

After many jokes and bloopers, Tom agrees to pretend Harry was right about their characters not having another option and therefore this being a sad scene.

After redoing the earlier lines, instead of making a joke about him being the one neck deep in water, he squints his eyes at y/n as she lays on the door.

“You're going to get out of this... you're going to go on and you're going to make babies and watch them grow and you're going to die an old lady, warm in your bed. Not here. Not this night. Do you understand me?” He says, getting his line perfect this time.

“I can't feel my body” y/n says, keeping her body movements minimal.

“Rose, listen to me. Listen. Winning that ticket was the best thing that ever happened to me.” Tom says with false difficulty.

He takes a shaky deep breath, “It brought me to you. And I'm thankful, Rose. I'm thankful.”

Y/N’s character, Rose stares back at him with sadness present in her eyes.

“You must do me this honor... promise me you will survive... that you will never give up... no matter what happens... no matter how hopeless... promise me now, and never let go of that promise.” He says, his eyes never moving from her’s.

Tom knows that while Jack’s body is nearly frozen his eyes would be able to move.

However he feels it’s more in character to keep his eyes trained on y/n’s the way Jack would have with Rose.

“I promise” y/n whispers, the sound of the water lapping echoing after her.

“Never let go” Tom adds, acting as if his body was becoming more rigid.

“I promise. I will never let go, Jack. I'll never let go.” Y/n says, tearing up despite the “frozen” air.

She grips Tom’s hand tightly and they lie with their heads resting together.

The only sound left is the loud sound of waves breaking around them as Tom’s body and the door away with it.

“And scene” the director yells, making some notes on his clipboard.

“That was great, great emotions you two” he adds, waving the makeup artists over to the couple.

Tom smiles, “we did it”.

“Only took twenty takes thanks to your dramatic ass” y/n teases.

“Dramatic? I think you’re just jealous I put my heart into it” Tom smirks.

“After joking the first ten times” she laughs, “besides, your character is the nice one, meanwhile I’m here hogging all of this”.

Tom chuckles as his makeup artist begins applying the ice special effects makeup to his face.

“You can’t look at it that way, trust me. I still wouldn’t have gotten those lines out if I did” Tom admits, laughing.

“Ugh, fine I suppose I’ll pretend” she sighs jokingly.

“Alright, don’t blink, almost done” y/N’s makeup artist says, cutting the two off as she applies a fake ice crystal in the corner of y/n’s eye.

Y/n looks up past the camera as it hangs above them, capturing the scene of y/n resting on the door in the water.

Tom’s body barely touching the door, his hand frozen in her’s being his only real anchor to the floating item.

Y/N’s focus is still on the “sky” behind the camera, creating a distance gaze for her character when she sees the camera close in on her.

Knowing her next line, she barely parts her “frozen” lips, being careful not to let the ice specialfx makeup fall off as she lets her voice crack while singing part of Tom’s character Jack’s song.

In a daze, she lowers her eyes to the water around her and Tom after seeing the cue for the shooting star they’ll be adding in post production.

Pretending to see a boat in the distance as a faint light drags over her frozen body, y/n turns to face Tom, her hair sticking to the door thanks to the insane amount of hairspray they added to make it seem it was frosted onto the door.

He’s managed to stay as still as possible during these scenes, his body only moving when the manufactured waves push on him.

“Jack” y/n whimpers, so quietly she’s not even sure the microphone caught it.

However, when no one alerts her to stop, she continues with the scene.

Y/n turns her head painfully slowly towards Tom, reaching her free hand over to his stiff shoulder.

She then guides his frosted head towards her new position, the fake frost and ice flakes covering Tom’s beautiful face.

Tom manages to stay completely in character despite his urge to lean into her touch.

Knowing Rose is supposed to now realize that Jack is not sleeping at it may seem, she lets her chest shake as her eyes shift to make them look as if her anguish caused her to zone out and give up.

“ Oh, Jack.” She gasps, letting her body collapse back down on the door.

Squeezing Tom’s “frozen” hand one last time, she gazes to the rescue boat, and closes her eyes as Rose gives up her hopes of her and Jack surviving the night.

As if Rose suddenly recalled her promise, y/n forces her eyes open and she leans forward.

She hears the crack of her hairspray as she separates her hair completely from the prop door and the ice crystals in her hair shattering as she moves.

She weakly calls out for the attention of the rescue boat, knowing full well they cannot hear her.

Gasping for air, y/n pretends to struggle to sit up more, stopping when her character notices Jack’s hand is frozen to her’s.

Leaning closer to Tom, she breathes on their clasped hands pretending to be melting the ice keeping them locked together.

Once the agreed upon time has passed that the crew will use to have the ice melt via CGI, she unclasps their hands hesitantly.

While not scripted, she lets her fingers graze over Tom’s thinking it’ll show Rose’s resistance and sorrow.

“I won't let go. I promise.” She says, ignoring the irony of the statement and reminding herself to focus on the reference to their earlier promise to not let go of her hope and fight rather than his hand.

Letting his hand slide out from her’s and off the door, she watches as Tom keeps his body stiff as the chords around him drag him under the water and into the “depths of the ocean”.

Y/n clumsily rolls off the door and into the water before sloppily swimming towards the rescue boat and her costars.

“I’m so glad that took only one take” y/n laughs as Tom wraps a towel around her.

Tom nods, “you did really well. I felt as if you were actually letting me go, I think it’ll show up amazing in the film”.

“Thank you Tom, but you know I’d never let you go like that” y/n smiles, kissing his cheek.

Tom blushes and pulls her wet body against his freshly dry one.

“If it were the only way for one of us to survive, I would not be giving you a choice love” he argues, “I’d swim away after getting you on the door”.

She laughs and shoves him, “it wasn’t the only way. There’s no way it needed to end like that”.

“Oh, I agree darling. I’m just saying” Tom laughs, pulling her closer again.

“Who’s to say I wouldn’t force you on it and then leave you?” She protests.

“I mean, you could, but it would be stupid” Tom smirks.

“Excuse me?” She scoffs.

“Like you said, I don’t like being on boats as is, you think I want to be floating on a broken door in the ocean?” He asks.

“Better than in the ocean” she points out.

“True, but after losing you, I’d panic so much I’d fall off and into the damn ocean anyways” he blushes, “and we’d both die”.

Y/n laughs and buries her head in his chest, “I love you, you big chicken”.

The Eclipse Ep 12 Finale Live Blogging

watching it 13 hours after it premiered because of my night midterm lol so it’s really ending huh. ngl i’m not anticipating it as much as i was the middle few eps bc ep 11 part 4 is making me nervous about this last ep but whew, hope it’s a good one

Part 1

This meeting... so scary from the very first moment, I hate the thought of having to sit in front of any committee anything

dang, Akk having a breakdown in the middle of filming and the “my real life isn’t like your movie” okayy interesting

nooo aww Akk :(

girl, Chadok’s hug to the principal really took me back lmfao

Oops, got distracted last night and suddenly it was 4am so I went to sleep, so I’m watching at 1 the next day.

it’s just a bit weird to see Chadok be so different than how he was till ep 10 like obviously we’re seeing different, more true sides to him but it’s jarring and idk if the change has been done well. like we could’ve had him as a cautionary tale and seeing akk’s future in him without him suddenly being turned into such a sympathetic character. like i still don’t care about him but the show acts like i should be touched by him and like hmmm no you could’ve made him more interesting if he was still a dynamic character rather than going from kinda one-note villain to one-note sad guy. like both of these aspects of him could’ve worked together to make a more interesting character. whatever why am i writing this long ass paragraph for him

Part 2

damn, a two second apology to the Jums from both Akk and Thua? are we for real or will there be more?

and Akk calling Thua his friend like this would’ve been good if we actually saw them having more of a conversation and coming to terms with what they’ve done rather than just creating the movie and then being fine with each other again.

The show dealt with the fallout and conversations in ep 6 so well, so it’s disappointing that it’s so weak and disjointed in these last 2 eps

Damn, Akk’s parents so kind; taking the news of the suspension with gravity but not unkindness. First did so good at being Akk for those 2 minutes though, the emotions really shone through

Watching BLs is just me sometimes being consumed by wishing my parents were like some of these parents. this damn coming out scene aghhhh T.T just like with HCTM and Be Loved In House, I’m suchhhh a sucker for the child being like </3 sorry for disappointing you and then the parent(s) saying nooo not disappointed

kanthua cute like before as if the whole ep 11 debacle didn’t happen it’s just disappointing to see the consequences and conversations not be explored

not even gonna talk about Thua talking about the importance of coming out and supportive friends an episode after outing said friends

kanthua kissing at the beach between the palm trees with the waves in the background is very pretty

Part 4

The Jums better than everybody fr bc the prefects and thua get to give one word apologies but they still welcome them back to school and into their club

oh dang i thought Mes was never gonna be brought up again, interesting seeing it mentioned that Suppalo didn't actually prepare people for the world outside of it

would Namo be a good student prefect? Would he really?

ahh the conversation in the bathroom Ayan/Akk are sooooooo cuteeeee

oh he’s spreading Dika’s ashes into the water

Ep 11 part 4's flaws kinda continued onto this ep, so I'm not as satisfied with the ending as I would've liked (I just think they did a really great job with character development in the middle few episodes, so it was even more disappointing to see the tonal and character issues here in the end) but in terms of Ayan/Akk relationship + Akk's parents, I liked it

I think neither Chadok nor Thua's twists worked for me because I need the characters after the twist to still reflect who they were before and during the twist. for thua we're acting as if the whole speech that showed a different side of him didn't happen. for chadok the twist turned him into a completely different person; it makes sense in a way that his relationship with dika coming out opened the floodgates and he is a changed man now but the disconnect from him in the first 10 eps is hard to reconcile with how they're positioning him in these 2 eps. i have a clear idea of how they could've make thua's arc better but i don't really know what i would've liked from chadok except i don't like that it feels like 2 distinct characters before and after the reveal

oh yeah another thing with Chadok is I guess it's good that he resigned but... is it? We see at the end at the school is progressing but he hadn't known how the school would react to it all, maybe it'd try to stand still and continue punishing the protestors. so when he finally has the courage to not blindly follow suppalo rules, he just leaves and removes himself from the equation instead of trying to improve the situation and help sani (who is a very new teacher as well) and whichever other teacher would like to him. like idk now that you've changed, try to improve the environment you've created at this school over decade.

Maybe Chadok removing himself from the school and its rules and the principal was the best thing for him but is still not narratively satisfying to me. Definitely wouldn't be easy for Sani to make changes if the principal hired another staunch Suppalo rules supporter to replace Chadok. Could've waited a few weeks/months to see through some changes and then resigned when we saw the improvements at the end of the episode like ah, i've done my best but i must remove myself now for my well-being.

For Thua, flawed characters who make terrible decisions are good and fun and interesting characters only if their actions are dissected and we get to actually explore their actions and reasonings for more than 10 minutes before we ignore it all. i know the writers could’ve done better with thua so it’s annoying that they dropped the ball on that one. the other characters’ reactions to thua were just so empty, it was such a contrast to my own thoughts and audience reaction. wild

yknow i liked Akk’s breakdown on the roof because it’s not like self acceptance, esp if you’re in an unaccepting community and think your queerness will disappoint everyone, is an easy A to B path. some days it may be easier to accept or it may be easier to quietly have a boyfriend but not express out loud on camera that you’re gay and proud. realizing he’s playing a character who is in a better place than he is and being unable to emulate it really hit for me. but then that upsets me more that we didn’t get to see akk and thua talk about thua outing him in front of so many people but they’re just friends in the next episode like k

Fave Scene:

Ayan and Akk being cute in different moments like when they were arguing in part 4 about who did better on the test and the “blah blah blah” so cute

Overall

I'm thinking an 8 because I enjoyed the middle few episodes immensely, as well Ayan/Akk + the acting + how the plot and themes were handled for those episodes but the ending definitely took a hit and I wish it had tighter/cleaner writing and editing in general.

The show tackled interesting topics, including societal expectations and the status quo, fighting back, how characters we want to root for can be doing bad things and how they grow from it, mental illness, all the intersectionality of like queerness and financial situation and mental illness. It didn’t hit the mark for all of them because I think the script needed to be tightened and the editing needed to be stronger but it was well enough considering the budget + them filming and doing post-production while it was airing.

I loved Ayan/Akk soooo much, definitely one of my favourite couples of the year. I think I’m a bit burned out on them after checking in weekly for like 3 months straight but I imagine in a few weeks I’ll love them again. Think they’re one of my favourite couples of the year.

Kan/Thua were also really good, especially in ep 10; sad that the lack of communication after Thua’s stint caused me to not like them as much.

Old Trailer:

I’ve watched parts of this before in gifs and clips (and maybe the first minute?). It’s definitely visually darker and more moody than the actual show ended up being. It really does seem to have a fantasy, perhaps time-travelling aspect to it. It’s cool even though it’s rough looking, makes it a bit raw.

New Trailer:

This trailer definitely focuses more on the relationship between Ayan and Akk and less on the protests and politics than the previous trailer and also some eps of the show.

Also it goes along with his teasing nature doesn’t it? Whatever the reason behind it I feel like it could have happened very early on. While Martin still hadn’t ‘known’ how he felt. I think one of the first Berlermo fic ideas I had back in 2020 revolved around them kissing in the adrenaline high after a heist. "They are gods among men" is exactly the sentiment I saw them having, feeling invincible after successfully pulling a daring heist. And then they make it to the car, and they kiss. (you can tell I don't have a car because I don't think it’s well thought-through, logistics-wise.) But I was in love with the idea of them being so elated that they finally cross that one last barrier in their intimacy and finally kiss, and it's really not such a big leap from how they usually are around each other. I never wrote that one, but I remember it so vividly.

Like I imagine Marseille or Bogota getting him something he really needed for the plan and him being excited and going “ahh thanks so much *pecks him on the mouth*”. Also it goes along with his teasing nature doesn’t it?

I love the idea of Martin being the kiss-on-the-lips kind of person. Would make it very interesting how he pointedly did not kiss Helsinki after the boom boom ciao. (sidetrack but I’m not fond of the perhaps romantic idea that Martín wouldn’t kiss anyone after Andrés, and that’s why he didn’t kiss Helsinki. Nah, I’m sure he’d continue to kiss people, kissing is great! He seems to enjoy sex - he makes a whole apologia for gay sex at the lunch table, after all - and kissing is integral to that, come on.) But maybe he was just trying to send no mixed messages since he made it clear with his whole speech that he wasn’t interested in anything past sex. Still, interesting that he stops it from happening this time.

First of all - this was beautiful. And yes, if it happened when they didn’t know each other for long, imagine if it’s what made Martín realize that, welp, he’s caught The Feelings, this can never happen again.

God, the sheer panic after you do that. Especially if you both feel it but then the other person acts as if nothing happened and yeah, you realize that’s never happening again. (But also - when do feel it and you’re both aware and then you kiss again but this time it’s different and wonderful and terrifying. And heartbreaking, if you’re Martín in ep 4x08.)

I used to think - like many in fandom back then - that Martín didn’t like Sergio, or Sergio didn’t like Martín, and I don’t think it’s the case anymore. We’ve seen Sergio be a professor and not just The Professor, when schooling La Banda several times; like when he comes out in his jimmy jammies to go “do you know what time it is? Go to bed, big day tomorrow” or when Marseille doesn’t want to do surgery on that pig and he gets into a near-fight with Denver and Sergio puts his foot down fast. If he didn’t like Martín, he would shut him down immediately, and Martín would listen. It’s clear that he respects Sergio, and doesn’t just like to fuck with him. No, these guys might actually even like each other. I think the “weight” of Martín’s feelings for Andrés is what doesn’t make their relationship “smoother”, if that makes sense. Even though it’s based on mutual respect, there’s also a sense of push and pull, challenges and stubbornness.

And you’re right, Martín tends to be crude with everyone, not just Sergio (when offering his fellatio skills) but never with Andrés, to whom he clearly doesn’t trust himself to say a lot of the things he normally would, because maybe that time he’d mean it.

Sammer Guy Localization Question:

So... does anybody know if the names of the Sammer Guys in the original Japanese actually mean anything, and what they do if so? I don't know Japanese to any appreciable degree, but I do know how to recognize names, and I noticed that Jade Blooper's Japanese name... Doesn't have Blooper's Japanese name in it at all. Thoughts on the Taylor collab with Ice Spice? In February Matty mockingly called ice spice an inuit spice girl and a chubby Chinese lady. The podcast he said this on was deemed offensive and was deleted and at a concert he apologized by saying "im kind of a bit sorry if I've offended you." A couple of months later Matty and Taylor went public and she collabed with ice spice. It's just a coincidence it's with her? It was done as a further apology and to not look like a racist person by being associated with Matty? Because some are not buying this as anything but performative pr. And the same people who are side eying Taylor are saying they're glad ice spice is cashing in on the white guilt. But this just seems like pandering if Taylor did this collab to make herself look good. And I honestly still havn't decided if they're an actual couple or pr. So if they are, they were probably together for a while, he said what he said about ice spice and Taylor was like oh shit, I better collab with her quickly before our relationship goes public. Obviously i'm just making up stories here to fill in the gaps of what we do know but I'm trying to understand what's really going on here and I wanted your opinion.

There's a lot here that reflects what I find tedious about the way Matty Healy and Taylor Swift are being discussed at the moment. In addition, trying to be clear about what happened is important to me, so it really bothers me that you're stating something as fact that is straight up not true in your second sentance.

But you asked me for my opinion - so I'm going to try and explore what I do find interesting. I think it's useful to start with what we don't know - we don't know when the collaboration was conceived and we don't know the timeline of Taylor's relationship with Matty Healy.

We can make guesses about both those things. There's photos from the studio that people can place. There are people who knows things about how long it takes to make CDs. People who pay more attention to Taylor and Ice Spice may be able to figure out when there were spaces for them to film. People who know more than me about CGI can guess how long these shots would have taken (one thing to take into account is that if Ice Spice was added at the last minute then her shots might have been filmed later). We can't know for sure about the timeline of the video, but it would be possible to put together some guesses with reasonable minimums and then figure out how that compares to the options for Taylor's relationship with Matty Healy.

But even if we did know the timeline and what was possible - that wouldn't give us any answers about motivations - we rarely know people's motivations. We can make them up - but when we do that's a choice we make. Keep making stories to fill the gaps with what we know if we want anon - but I think it's also useful to develop an understanding that they're just stories and they don't matter.

It is after all, just a remix, and I think it's very easy to put far too much weight on it. I will again link to the Gary Younge article that explains what's a stake if we treat racism as a series of bloopers rather than a system of power.

How To Keep Fans Interested In Your Webseries:

I’d like to start this post by pointing out that I’m not a web series creator. I’m a blogger. That said, I am a huge fan of web series. I’m a huge geek, so some of my favorites include The Witcher, How I Met Your Mother. I also thought BBC’s The Pond Life leading up to the Doctor Who series 7 premier was brilliant.

That’s just scratching the surface of the web series I enjoy. Like most of you out there, however, my time is limited. You have to keep me interested with every episode or I’m probably going to forget about your series, instead moving on to find new series to enjoy. So how can you keep me (and other fans) interested? Here are my best tips:

1. Make some “special” episodes.

I absolutely love when web series producers includes some videos that are beyond the scope of the series itself. Behind-the-scenes footage, funny music videos, bloopers, and interviews with the cast are just a few examples of videos you can make that add a ton of value to your series. It’s like the special features disk when you buy a DVD. Fans who aren’t interested can just watch the series, but I think you’ll be surprised to know just how many viewers really do want extra footage.

2. Know your viewers – and make videos for them.

Without fail, the very best series always seem to be made for me. In other words, there’s a common theme, a thread that connects all of the videos so they’re made with a specific viewer in mind. Before you start filming the first episode or even getting too far along with the writing, think about the demographic you’re trying to target. Not everyone is going to like your web series, but that’s okay. You want to make rabid fans of the people who do like your series, not have a bunch of people who say “meh, it was okay” and never watch past the second or third episode.

3. Take your show on the road.

I never watched The Guild until I met some of the actors at a video game convention. At that point, the series was certainly popular, but it has only grown in popularity since then. Getting your actors out there, visible and promoting the show, is going to not only help you find new fans, but it is also going to feed your current hungry fans, keeping them interested in your series. Even if you can’t get a booth or speak on a panel at the show, just attending and networking with other attendees can help your fan base grow.

4. Don’t allow huge gaps between episodes or between seasons.

Just like bloggers need to be consistent with their posting schedule, it’s important for your web series episode to come out on a consistent basis. For most, this means every week during a season, with possible longer gaps between seasons. Once you have the millions of fans some series have, you can easily come back after six months or even a year of being off the air. If you’re new, though, or not yet super popular, this kind of gap can kill any momentum you have.

I’ve seen some series that allow viewers to vote in a poll regarding what should happen to characters. If I’m part of your web series in some way, I’m definitely going to be more interested to see what happens.

okay i have processed enough to write my initial thoughts i think. still haven’t watched everything that happened today (i.e. sapnap’s stream, jack’s stream, techno after tommy went live) but. i want to talk a little bit

(also i always get nervous sharing my takes as my anxiety is. bad. so i’ll preface this by saying that i am absolutely not trying to start anything with or go after anyone whose opinions are different lmao. this is all very much /lh)

okay. so. in no particular order

i’ve determined how i feel about c!ranboo’s death. the answer is that i feel very little. i am open to changing this opinion based on others’ reactions (c!tubbo pls return king i’m begging) but currently i am not. mourning. like i did for c!tommy. that ficlet that i wrote was definitely me trying to make myself feel something and it didn’t quite work. that being said, i’m very happy that cc!ranboo’s finally gonna get to tell a story the way he’s wanted to!

c!niki. girl. please.

kind of on that note, i will not lie i normally find techno’s lore streams to be fun, at least. and this stream had its moments that i enjoyed? but overall, was not digging the syndicate pov today. really, really good to have confirmation that c!techno doesn’t actually like c!dream, tho

gonna round out my discussion of the syndicate. c!phil. he fucking fascinates me. i want to shake him and i want to punch him and i want to hug him. i want to be in his brain. i want to give him a reality check. but his interactions with c!tommy today, i honestly thought was one of the highlights of the lore for me. like, he still doesn’t get it. i would really like for him to get it, at some point. i want him to understand why l’manberg is important. and the fact that he went along with c!techno’s plans despite the fact that he knows how fucking awful c!dream is has me seething. but like. at least he’s made it really clear that he’s in c!tommy’s corner. i do enjoy that

okay so. c!tommy. i don’t. i don’t even consider myself an inniter. but the return of c!tommy had me feeling some kind of way let me tell you

it’s been said by so many other people, but cc!tommy’s acting? holy fucking shit. he and dream absolutely killed that moment. that was just. chilling. i don’t even really have the words. (and that blooper was also so fucking funny i love them)

and i’d like to talk for a second about c!tommy’s forgiveness? like, that moment where he forgave c!phil really drove it home for me. he obviously doesn’t agree with him, but i think he saw where c!phil was coming from, decided that c!phil actually believes he was being helpful (which. like. no. but that’s another thing), and so was able to forgive him for it. c!tommy really forgives people very easily. even people who have hurt him very personally. i am not going to make this about c!wilbur i am not going to make this about c!wilbur but c!wilbur as someone holding a gun shooting at someone else and he’s on his side but he still doesn’t feel safe because the gun is still there i am not over this i will never be over this

the walls. god. the walls make him feel safe. i can’t. i fucking can’t

i said i wouldn’t make this about c!wilbur but if c!wilbur doesn’t see the walls and have a fucking emotional breakdown then what even is the point okay sorry i’m done i swear

cannot let c!quackity go unmentioned. like, he is one of the best people to be helping c!tommy rn, because he’s had the whole c!dream-escaped-panic. he’s been there and done that. he’s ready to be effective. he’s ready to do what needs to be done. and he’s decided that what needs to be done is protecting c!tommy. it really doesn’t get any better than that

here’s the thing: there are so many routes i could go down with this, because cockles moments come in all shapes and sizes and formats. these include moments from their panels, their bloopers, the footage we get when they don’t even know they’re being recorded, stories being passed down from photo ops & autographs(one of my personal favorite ways to get cockles, tbh, because they’re all insane), and social media(tweets to each other, instagram posts & comments, etc.).

SO! since many a list like this has already been made, and i want to stand out from the crowd, what i’m gonna do is definitively give the number one spot to each of these five categories.(i might even throw in honourable mentions because they’re so despicably in love that they warrant that. i really put my whole pussy into this, guys, i hope you’re happy.)

number one: top cockles panel moment

so we’re starting off with a bang, because how do you even BEGIN to rank what atrocities jensen and misha commit at jibcon. every single one they’ve had is damning in it’s own right, for different reasons.

however, considering just how much unabashed fuckery they’ve given us to sift through, it’s a good thing i do have a personal favorite despite it all. it’s heartwarming, the sweetest thing i’ve ever seen, AND it’s jarringly cinematic - mainly because it has a whole ass arc to it that was years in the making. it might even be surprising to some people, but my favorite cockles panel moment, and what i consider the one that encompasses their entire gut-wrenching journey from 2008-2013 in the most sweepingly romantic gesture possible, is this one.

i want this burned into my retinas. i am not even joking. when i'm through with my explanation, let me convince you why this is thee most romantic cockles moment of all time.

first, some history: people call this the resume off, but many seem to forget the botched attempt at a resume off a year prior. and yes, you guessed it: it's during their break up. it's a juicy time period for a reason, guys. it came across as exceedingly one-sided and VERY awkward. let me refresh your memory as to just how bad it was, and just how hard jensen was trying and ultimately failing at winning misha over: the funniest part of the whole resume off in 2013??? every joke/bit had literally already been made/done. they were just going through the motions again, but the difference THIS time...is that misha reciprocated jensen's energy. it. is. fascinating. i want to get into it more detail in another post, and i'll link it here when i'm done, but the main takeaway, i think, and the main difference that showcases how much they've grown in a year, is that in jib 3, misha flat out refused to do an accent, and this time around, he indulges jensen for literal minutes. when i tell you they're crazy, they're crazy. i can't wait to actually dive into it later.

ANYWAY, the resume off culminates in this moment here. and, like, a million things happen in this gifset. actually, more like a million and one. the music starts playingneediremindyouthatthesongissingingintherain(h e l p), misha starts dancing, jensen 'perpetually fake grumpy' ackles lets misha think he's not going to join, misha sits down defeated, but no!!! that was jensen's plan all along(look at his stupid fucking smirk) and he offers his arm to his dance partner who immediately grins like a fool, jensen then leads misha into their kick step, they perfectly synchronise and let loose, and are then very clearly having the time of their lives, hanging off of each other with joy and ease. from their expressions alone i can tell that this moment is so. so. so. so! much more than what initially meets the eye. i mean-misha is fighting back the biggest smile i've ever seen. to me, it reads like jensen is offering something to misha, something that misha kind of gave up on expecting, and him offering his arm like that is like, a surprise to him in the best possible way(and it's so not platonic, let me just say that.) as soon as jensen did that, it ushered in a new era of cockles. this panel is jensen and misha's favourite for a reason, and i think this moment is the biggest clue as to why.

whew!!! ok. that took a lot out of me and that was only point one. moving on,

number two: top cockles blooper moment

cockles bloopers hold an extremely special place in my heart, because it shows just how fucking disastrous jensen and misha are. they are so goddamn infatuated with each other that they HOLD UP PRODUCTION ALL THE TIME TO FLIRT WITH EACH OTHER(???). let me repeat. let it sink in. jensen ackles; arguably one of the most professional actors on that show who puts everything he has into each scene, with mountains and mountains of notes to prove it: would rather hold up production to flirt with misha collins. this sounds fake. it's not. he does it. all. the. time. and here's the thing guys!!! i'm gonna let you in on a secret!!! misha loves it. he loveesssss it. on top of that-misha collins: overlooked because he's pranked and people assume he's unprofessional as well, but his only pranks are in retaliation/off-set, and he rarely if EVER causes problems if he can help it....lets himself get carried away when it comes to jensen making kissy faces at him!!! are you actually kidding me!!! i mean. misha. it's just a face. you've seen it a million times. i don't buy that it triggers something in you that strongly....you like it, and you like jensen's reaction. you can't fool me!!! lisa berry's face in that one gifset shows just how fed up the crew is with their gross, coupley boyfriend antics.

i could pull up so many examples. sooooooo many. but my favourite was sealed since the moment i saw it.

i actually already wrote an analysis on it but i can't find it :(((( which SUCKS because i really unpacked the whole thing. i'll try to summarise.

basically, a backstory is part of this too!!! jensen and misha both had a really really hard time with this scene(because it's explicitly romantic there i said it), they sat down for hours and poured over their scripts together, they were super super nervous going into filming, both of them, jensen especially, were super hard on themselves for their performances not being true to their characters but they both complimented the other's work(boyfriend moments fr). so, yeah. they weren't confident going into shooting. and how do they get themselves to feel better???? by cuddling each other, apparently.

a lot. a LOT. happens in this specific blooper. to the point that i saw it years before i knew about cockles and it raised all sorts of flags for me.

1) stop pulling my face towards your crotch(as a thinly veiled request that misha would, in fact, move jensen's face towards his crotch, considering it was jensen moving himself there in the first place. also, why so comfy down there guys???) 2) you're my baby daddy i know(in the most intimate voice i've ever heard please) 3) i know, i know, i love you too i didn't say i love you i know but you wanted to say it etc. misha's right, of course. that's what jensen meant.

it just reeks of comfort, familiarity and intimacy between the two, and it's a moment that is extremely sweet and silly at the same time. they're so <3

number three: top cockles found footage moment

WONDERFUL category. truly the culmination of the cockles experience. many people have said that shipping cockles doesn't work because 'they're just onstage you dummies!! they're playing it up for the audience!!!' here's the thing, love. i could not disagree with you more. once you climb your way up the cockles ladder, you soon learn that they are, in fact, playing their dynamic DOWN, not up. they really are just Like That™, and they could not care less about the paying audience, if we're being honest, considering how much time they take to giggle with each other and refuse to let the audience in on the joke. and i love them for it <3

anyway, my point is that this category is for all you naysayers out there, all you 'jensen and misha's relationship is just for show and is real life queerbaiting'(?????lordhelp???) oh yeah? ok, explain this.

he. he. he calls jensen sweetheart. literally enough said. there's nothing to really add here, except, misha and jared then immediately engage in damage control. jared's method is distraction and misha's is retconning('get out of the car, dude') this was what got me to buy into the cockles dumpster for GOOD good. you don't call your buddy sweetheart accidentally and sound so completely earnest while doing it! especially not when that buddy is jensen ackles!!! you think he would let any of his friends call him that? do you?

one more thing; if it was a slip of the tongue, little mouth thing or whatever, you think jared wouldn't have jumped on it immediately??? i can hear it now. 'did you just call him SWEETHEART???' yeah. that's what i thought. you know why he didn't? because it was too revealing.

number four: top cockles autograph moment

i mean, i think we all know what it's gonna be, and if you don't, well, do i have the piece de cockles resistance that is gonna send you over the edge.

if you haven't heard of this story by now, as a cockles, truther, i'm gonna go ahead and get you to read it, because there is no possible heterosexual explanation for any of it, and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

spoiler alert: it's the story where phones weren't allowed in an auto session, jensen nuzzles himself in misha's hair, leans his full body weight onto him, holds his hand, etc. etc. i'm imploding just repeating this back, actually. also, just, the sheer amount of stories from photo ops where they tackle hug each other or slap each other's asses or sing romantic songs to each other or almost kiss is, frankly, a lot. if i could wish for anything, it would be to witness them in person.

and finally,

number five: top cockles social media moment

this one is super difficult, because there's obviously a lot to choose from. but you know what? full send, i'm going with this one:

i just. what to say about this. how often do misha and jensen watch sunsets together for it to qualify as ‘always’ ??? why are sunsets synonymous with their relationship??? that’s like??? a very romantic thing????? ‘this guy’??? the fact that it’s a CANDID??? i don’t know guys.

I’m sorry in advance for how long this answer is. 😭

So interesting fact about me: I didn’t start watching Supernatural until 2015 in my senior year of high school. I’d heard about it of course, and even heard of wincest but never bothered to watch it until a friend of mine suggested it (funnily enough, she was actually a destiel shipper 💀). So I gave it a shot and loved it from the start. Pretty much as soon as I started watching, I began shipping wincest and J2. At that time, I wasn’t really active on any online fandom spaces so I didn’t even know what a tinhat was.

The more I got into the show, the more I started to become a major fan of Jared and Jensen so I followed them both on Instagram. Even though I really liked both of their wives, I always had a weird feeling about all of their interactions. It felt too idealistic and a little forced. But I just figured they played it up for social media the way a lot of people do.

I also started watching a lot of interviews/behind the scenes/bloopers of J2 and for some reason, I always felt like their connection was very different. But I thought “Well, they’re married with kids so, it’s probably just because they’re so close that they must feel like brothers. :)”

Then sometime in 2018 I found out what a tinhat was because of tumblr. It actually didn’t surprise me, but I was like “There’s no way. Who would go through all that trouble?” I was one of those people that said “Who needs to stay in the closet these days?” (🤦🏻‍♀️ Very ignorant of me, I know.) Then I got really busy with school and work so I kinda lost interest in SPN and stopped watching.

Toward the middle of 2019, I joined Twitter as part of a different fandom, but one of the people I followed was also into SPN and in one of their tweets they said something about “Speak the Truth” and posted a link about it. I read through the entire thing in one night and I was fascinated. It made sense with what I had already suspected, so at that moment I would’ve considered myself on the fence but still open to the idea that they were together. That kinda sparked my interest back into SPN so I caught up on the episodes I had missed and was able to start watching season 15 in real-time.

During quarantine in March 2020, I started to watch some old J2 panels from previous cons and I just couldn’t get over their intense chemistry. I remembered STT and decided to read through it again but this time I took my time and read through it slowly. This is when I knew for sure that Jared and Jensen were more than friends. I also started going through some old tinhat blogs here on Tumblr and caught up with all the scheming I had missed while I was out of fandom as well as some of the things I had missed while I was a ‘het’. (That’s when I found out about the entire 2017 date night fiasco lol.)

What really made me convinced about the bearding was when I started to realize just how much they cover up and jump through hoops to distract everyone from Jared and Jensen hanging out together. I can’t think of any other celebrity friendship that does that. Even huge A-list celebrities are allowed to hang out with their friends and not have their wives there. It just didn’t make sense to me that two straight actors with nothing to hide would go through so much trouble. The slip-ups they’ve had in cons (for example, Jared telling the Italy story as being on a date with Gen, then Jensen telling the same story as being just the two of them) also made me more convinced.

I kind of juggle between whether or not they will ever come out. Sometimes I feel like we’re on the verge of a divorce announcement, sometimes I feel like it’ll never happen, sometimes I’m like ‘maybe this year?’ I’m still not sure if they ever will. If they do, I’m inclined to believe it will take a few more years, at least. Here’s why I think so:

1. The fact that they’ve kept up this charade for so long makes it harder for them to come clean. Have you ever heard the saying, the longer a lie lives, the harder it is to kill? Kind of like that. Jared and Jensen have a very large fan base and the majority of that fan base fully believes that they are happily married heterosexual men; if they (the fans) were to find out they were lied to for over a decade, I doubt they’d be happy about that.

2. As much as we’d like to believe that our society has made a lot of progress with regard to LGBTQIA+ acceptance, the entertainment industry is still FULL of homophobia. Look at the whole Disney sponsoring anti-gay bills for a recent example. Coming out would spark controversy and could potentially harm their careers. Colton Haynes is a recent example of this.

3. There are children involved. If they were to come out while the kids were still in school, it could possibly put them in an uncomfortable position (bullying, invasive questions, etc). If you think that’s too far, let me tell you: I live in California, which is considered a very liberal state, and yet when I was in school I saw kids and even teachers being made fun of for their sexuality. Now think about how much worse it could be in a notoriously conservative state like Texas.

4. From what we know, both Jared and (especially)Jensen come from religious families. I’m not sure whether or not this had anything to do with them choosing to beard, but it is possible that they have some unsupportive family members (whether immediate or extended) and don’t want to ‘disappoint’ them.

Of course, I hope more than anything that one day they can come out and be their true selves. It would make me happy not because I’m a tinhat but because I’m a huge fan of them both and want the best for them. It breaks my heart that they’ve had to go through so much during their 17 years together.

But even if they never come out, it wouldn’t change anything for me. I believe either way in the epic love story of Jared and Jensen. 😉

The recent episodes have progressed so much plot I keep having thoughts™ about them so here we are again :)

the anthology part was just so tragic though,,,,, how they both became closer to each other, the mention that the blòta saved the guards life, the implications of the harvest maybe not actually being dependent on human sacrifice, tbh might actually draw this one it made me sad

Something something parallels of both guide and beast blindly trusting The Man With The Voice, except guide realised he wasn't worth it while beast is clinging on to its loyalty to him :///

the sarcastic 'I live to serve' while knowing full well it's pulling the wool over beast's eyes,,, plus it talking circles around who exactly is in the team by depending on beast's preconceived assumptions is beautiful

Is it a throwaway about guide not being able to 'see' per se, therefore breaking it out of the narration? Is it confused about what an attractive person is? has it spontaneously realised what it finds attractive for the first time in its life? Only time will tell!

my beloved was being so smart about the whole 'controlled by beast' thing i can only hope this new bunch treats it nice D: (which. seems unlikely but still)

what I wouldn't do for some bonus content during season break, my pitches:

Qna!! Would love to know some behind the scenes stuff about production, and the writing process, and designing the podcast thumbnails, and the conception of the plot etc etc

Cast commentary: there's quite a few VAs now, I think it would be fun!!! Would be cool to get to know them in some way :D

Bloopers: there's gotta be some considering 4 whole seasons, another one that would just be fun

Mini episode of some kind, i get that this one would take extra writing so not expecting much but i think an episode about the employees or general mishaps/shenanigans within the museum would be cute

Ofc I don't really expect these to happen cause podcasting is hard but one can dream haha in the meantime ill be patient for the next season :]

Bad Guy - Winchester Brothers Imagine (Supernatural)

Summary: (Season 14, Episode 13) (Y/n) gets a chance to tell John just what they thought of Sam and Dean's childhood.

It all started with a normal hunt.

Room of cursed objects and some weird salesman.

Now, the objects were being stored in the bunker and identified by Sam and me. Dean was more distracted by the objects than anything.

We discovered a pearl. It allowed people to get what they wanted more than anything.

It seemed like a surefire way to defeat Michael, who was still locked in Dean's mind. A way to get rid of him for good.

That's not what happened.

What happened was that we ended up losing Castiel, Jack was nowhere to be found, and John Winchester came back.

I knew him too well. I didn't even know him before he died but... I saw it. I saw it all.

I sat opposite him at the table. Sam and Dean ran away to talk about this and Mary was off doing something.

"How did you end up here," he asked. "I'm sorry but I don't think the math works for you to be Sam or Dean's."

"They kind of adopted me," I explained. "I was 10 and my parents were taken out by a shifter. The boys raised me along with Bobby and Castiel and a few others."

"Right," he nodded. He held a hand out for me to shake. "I'm John."

"I know," I chuckled, ignoring his hand. "I know a lot."

"I've heard," he nodded, dropping his hand. "Mary mentioned that you're quite the hunter."

I grinned.

"Alright, what is it," he asked.

"Nothing, nothing," I shook my head. "It's just weird. I've heard... stories. From Dean and Sam and Bobby. Hell, Mary has told a few."

"Well, nice to know I lived on."

"Mary's stories were very sweet," I nodded.

"And the others?"

"More realistic," I muttered. His smile fell. It's like he suddenly realized that I knew everything. "Especially the ones I confirmed."

"So, you've already decided that I'm the bad guy," John asked, leaning on the table.

I bit my tongue and looked down at the floor. I sighed and looked back up.

"A few years ago," I explained, "I was 14, we met a witch on a hunt. I was hit by some spell and got knocked out. It sent me back through time. Specifically, Sam and Dean's childhood. I saw everything. So yes, you are a bit a villain in my head. But I didn't invent that."

I stood up straight and went to leave.

"If I had raised you-"

"You didn't," I cut him off. "Your sons did. And I think they did a damn good job. Maybe you should talk to them. See them as more than hunters. Because they are so much more."

"Don't explain how well you know my sons," he snapped.

"Someone needs to!"

He fell silent.

"Your sons raised me so well," I said quietly. "They took me to thrift stores and gave me old clothes so I was always comfortable. Dean would sit with me when I had a nightmare and sing the same song while he waited for me to go back to sleep. Sam found the technology for me to be a part of hunts when I couldn't lie about being F.B.I. Dean let me date someone that he barely liked. Sam literally carried me out of my parents' house. Your sons have become amazing parents. You only see them as hunters that could be better."

I walked out without another word. I passed Dean and Sam in the hall. I heard one of them turn around and follow me to my room.

"Hey, what happened," Dean asked. I sat on my bed, taking a few deep breaths. Dean sat next to me, rubbing my back lightly. "Are you alright?"

"It's just... John," I mumbled. "It's been a little overwhelming."

"What happened?"

"He was talking about hunting and you two growing up and I said that I knew everything," I replied. "Then he tried to go into what would've happened if he had raised me and I snapped at him. I just yelled about you and Sam being great parents."

"Kid," Dean said. He pulled me into a hug. "You didn't need to defend us."

"It just happened," I muttered. "I'm sorry."

"It's alright," he rested his chin on top of my head.

The door slowly opened. I looked up and saw the rest of the Winchester family standing there. I sat up straight. John stepped forward and I stood up.

"I'm... I'm sorry-"

"You don't need to do that," John held a hand up to me. "Thank you. You made... some great points. These two did end up being great parents."

I grinned softly.

"Now, I was thinking that we should have a real family dinner before I have to leave," John clapped his hands and smiled at all of us.

"Pizza," Mary suggested. We all nodded. We all walked out. John stopped me.

I raised my eyebrows, asking what he needed silently.

"What's that photo from," he asked. I looked over.

There were two. One was Bobby, Jo, Ellen, Sam, Dean, Cas, and me. I didn't go on the hunt that followed that photo. The other was one that I insisted we take. Me, Mary, Jack, Sam, Dean, and Cas. I still don't know how I got all of them to come back.

"My family photos," I mumbled. "The one on the left was right before we went to fight Lucifer for the first time. The other is right after Jack, Mary, and I came back to the bunker after we had been stuck in the apocalypse world."

"The what?"

"Umm... another story for another day," I hit John's arm twice before going to follow the other three.

"You and Cas are close," he asked. I nodded. "And Jack?"

I blushed and awkwardly chuckled, looking at the floor.

"I see," he nodded. I looked at him. "You're not very subtle. Crushing or dating?"

"Dating," I replied. "As of... pretty recently."

"Good," he said. "Did you make the first move?"

"Yes."

"Good," he said again, making me chuckle.

We walked into the library and saw Dean and Mary at one of the tables.

"Sam's the only one not on a wanted list right now," Dean explained. I nodded and sat down next to him.

--Time Skip--

After we all enjoyed dinner together, it was time for John to go. It was the only way to make sure we didn't mess up the timeline. John was understanding.

I stood back as John hugged his sons. He looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back. He walked over and I hugged him. It was strange but it wasn't as awful as I feared.

He stepped back. He walked over to his wife, holding her hand. He gave her one last kiss before nodding at Sam.

I grabbed Dean's hand when I saw him shaking. He looked at me for a moment and forced a grin for a moment.

Sam picked up the bowl and smashed the pearl. The next time we all looked, John was gone.

I stayed silent, letting the family mourn. I stepped away so they could all hug. Sam looked over me before nodding at me to join them. I joined their group.

They were grieving for the second time... and I didn't quite know how to help them.
