i don’t know what this says about me as a person but when i was like five my family and i went christmas tree shopping and i convinced my parents to buy the ugliest tree because i felt sorry for it and the thought of it not being chosen made me cry and then i also made my dad dig it out instead of cutting it down because i didn’t want it to die and then for years we went back to that same place for christmas trees and the hole was still there

#it also took him like an hour #the guy who owned the place helped him tho #i was five don’t judge #i’m also pretty sure that it died like three days after christmas #there was like a hole in it where a branch was missing and it was already going kinda brown #and it was short and didn’t have a lot of leaves and branches #but i felt so sorry for it it made me cry

#so the hospital group that diagnosed my stroke as an anxiety attack&let me sit in their er for roughly five hours is in the news #bc body cam footage came out showing them having called the police on a patient who was 'refusing to leave'#despite the fact that he 'had no medical reason for being there'.#he had ODd&they had given in narcan. he was also homeless. so all the actual rules about watching a patient post resus #went out the window in favor of calling police&being incredibly cruel about it.#the man died at the police station. where they took him bc they looked him up&he had bench warrants.#they couldn't process him bc he was totally unresponsive. they tried tho. best believe they tried.#&when they had to explain why they were didnt try to get him medical help they released the body cam footage.#prob the only time they didnt throw tantrums over it too seeing as it successfully shifted the blame.#the hospital has had to apologize publically for the 'failure' on their part.#i cant even put my feelings into words.#ive said it once ill say it every fucking time learning medicine was not&is not hard. its not worthy of special note.#its something you do bc you care. &if thats not the case i hope you die of the medical neglect you would force onto those #who come to you for fucking help.#pathetic. absolutely fucking pathetic.#i might not ever be able to work in traditional medicine but w stories like these why the fuck would i ever want to?#why would i ever want to be associated w willful fucking murderers? bc thats what medical neglect from a medical pro at their work is.#fucking murder.

i love how i can sit here and be like yeah in merlin 1998 they tried to burn guinevere at the stake for cheating and i guess arthur was fine with that but arthur bbc merlin is the enemy because he exiled his guinevere after he thought she cheated. and i really really mean that with 100% sincerity. it was fine when they tried to burn lena heady at the stake but i draw the line at exiling angel coulby for three episodes. and i’m dead serious.

Posted this on my Instagram forever ago, y'know, when I originally drew this back in '21 but I wanted to share this with you all because I'm still hecking proud of it even though it's a redraw of a movie poster I saw

I think altogether it took me like 6 hours to do, and most of that's because I absolutely hate drawing architecture with a burning passion, and this reminded me why.

This was such a powerful scene from the movie, and I loved Luke Evans' portrayal of Bard. He did so good, and I just love all of the Peter Jackson films so much aahhhhhHHHHH

I kinda wanna go on a rant but I honestly just think I need to sleep

#and be alone for like 24 hours #I haven’t had a day withou any plans/other people for at least three weeks #and I’ve had busy weeks before that as well #and my next week will be busy as well #it’s a lot #I’ve put in FREE in my calendar to make sure I don’t have plans then #and this weekend I was supposed to be off but it was the only week I could meet up with my cousins #it was super fun but my brother was kinda like so how did u think it went #and overall I think it went well and so did he #one of my cousins was feeling less so yesterday apparently #but once again I really think it went the best it could have been #one of my cousins fucked kinda up tho and arrived at like half past midnight bc he double booked himself #and his sister was feeling kinda bad for him that ha arrived so late and we would just head to bed so he didn’t get anything out of that day #whereas I very much felt like it was his own fucking fault #I was not gonna stay out till half past 2 when I’d been out partying the day before and I’d already felt just seeing them Saturday/Sunday #took a lot of my energy #that was kinda the rant anyway #but it was a nice discussion with my brother about it #bc I was also slightly annoyed by some of them playing Pokémon go instead of the board game the five of us was playing #but talking it out with him helped with that so it’s fine #then now as I was vacuuming I started getting annoyed at one of my cousins bc #I think it’s ridiculous that he can’t respect his trans brother (my cousin)’s new name and pronouns #so he’s got a free pass to use the old one #bc my other cousin asked bc no one ever really told her what was going on and she heard different things #and I’m still annoyed by that I find it weak as fuck #our grandmother I get but my cousin is 19 he can fucking do better #anyway at that point I realized how stupid tired I am and that’s probably not helping #but since it’s only 7 pm and I need dinner and stuff I can’t sleep yet #so here’s the rant instead I guess #me

#yall im having a wild time lately #Saturday was really good- grandma is doing better so I ended up going to the beach for the day after all #had a really good day; I saw a bald eagle and dolphins + found a huge whelk and the bay sunset was beautiful #had the ride home from hell tho #took twice as long to get back because road work + detours + google maps fuckery while trying to find a gas station #we also almost hit a deer and like I live in PA who hasn’t almost hit a deer #but I have never been so close #he leaped out in front of us on the highway and froze #my husband was driving and omg reaction time #he slammed the brakes and I was like there’s no way #either we’re hitting the deer or the car behind us is hitting us or both #we stopped just a couple feet away from it #luckiest deer alive- he snapped out of it and looked at my husband then looked at me and then ran off #shoutout to the car behind us too- they swerved and did not hit us #but yeah he was a big buck and def would have not only totaled my car but gone through the windshield on the passenger side where I was #we got very lucky and so did he #but now I’m sick and I feel like crap #which perfect timing because we have a huge visit tomorrow and the stockroom is a mess #i was dying today cause I gotta lift all the furniture and shit #I literally came home and passed out for five hours and I still feel like I could just go right back to sleep #also I had a video interview last week and they said they wanted to bring me in for an in person interview #and like it’s at a really good company and it pays well and has good benefits #but now I havent heard back #so like watch me get ghosted again 🙃#I emailed them today so hopefully I hear back but I’m not holding my breath #I need everything to not be so much for a bit #Saturday was good but now things are crazy again

Simon who knew he had it in the bag....

for about two hours

Simon who made bagels for dinner; wassss this close 🤏to making Ollie eat dirt because WHAT DO YOU MEAN you don't like bagels now you were begging for them in the store!

Simon who made it about forty hours before he gave him and called Johnny

Simon who had no idea why Ollie was being so gosh darn annoying

Simon who had previously made a bet with Price that he wouldn't need help so therefore he would rather die than call Price even though Ollie idolizes his 'grandfather'

''s Johnny, missed ya but leave a message at the lil' beep."

"John MacTavish I swear to god if you don' call me back in ten minutes I will personally post thos' pictures of ya in Afgan."

two minutes later-

"ya know that's a real low blow-"

"I need you to take Oliver to th' park- Tessie isn't goin to sleep with him 'roun."

"Call the capn, he's closer to ya."

"I will not do that."

"Ugh, fine- lemme tell my girl then'll be there in twenty."

Simon who told Oliver to behave for his uncle and then happily sent them away- which finally he would be able to put the exhausted newborn to sleep

Simon was finally able to doze off on the sofa, the baby happily snoozing away on his chest and everything seemed perfect with the world

"MISTER RILEY UNCLE JOHNNY IS IS-HES-" The thundering slam of the door being swung open not only woke up Simon but the baby who aptly began to sob to the sudden change of pace, Oliver however did not care "UNCLE JOHNNY SUCKS."

Uncle Johnny told Ollie not to kick the ball into the river

Simon who is flabbergasted because even Johnny looked shook to his core, sure they had been at the park for about five hours but like-???

John MacTavish...brought down .... by Simon's six year old

Simon who, after ten minutes of the baby screaming for their mother and refusing to take their bottle with disgruntled wails of pain and Ollie so tired he can't think straight so he's also a sobbing and angry disaster and Johnny's just standing there by the door waiting for answers and everything is so loud-

"Capn?"

"Oh! Hi, sweetheart," John's wife answered the landline and he could hear her voice call for her husband, "Hi, how are you and lil' ones?"

Simon looked at Ollie who was currently in time out for stealing his sisters binkie for the tenth time, "Not great."

"O-"

"Simon." Price's voice cut in and it took about five seconds to get everything account for, "Ya already called Johnny right?"

"Yessir."

"Did you try Kyle?"

"No sir, he's on his honeymoon."

'"Ah-that's right, that's right."

Silence

"Sir I would like your help."

"Ha! Knew it! Alrighty, missus and I'll be there in...i dunno- you boys hungry? She made that-honey whatcha make?" indistinct conversation, "Ma'am said it didn't matter, she'll bring it anyway. Forty minutes?"

Simon looked at Johnny, who was on 'keep ollie in said time out' picking up the kid whenever he would try and run off. "Can you make it twenty, sir?"

Simon and Johnny who, out of habit, stood at attention as soon at the captain let himself into the house

Simon who looked a bit worse for wear, even with his non existant sleep scheulde in the military he had never looked so fatigued

Simon who had the baby out of his arms by Price's wife within two minutes of them being there

Simon who loves his son, he loves him (internal mantra) but he is making him look bad to his captain so the little twerp better get his act together.

"Riley."

"Yessir."

"How long is your block?"

"Two kilometers around."

"Two laps."

faltering silence through the house, Simon stared at the captain as he helped Ollie tie his sneakers by the door. The silence did mean Tessie had finally fallen asleep but he was- "I'm sorry?"

"Two laps, you, Johnny, and Oliver." Price looked to the kid, who looked more angry at the world than anything else, "Go. Dinner will be ready when you get back."

Simon was about to argue but Ollie beat him to it, "I don't want to run."

"You don't want to run?"

Oliver seemed a bit taken back, "No. So I'm not going to."

"Okay. You can clean the entire house- including your sisters nappy's, for a week, yeah?"

A pause.

"Fine, i'll go on the stupid run."

Simon who might as well be walking with the pace Oliver chose to keep

Johnny who took off sprinting because lord knew that man was starving and Mrs. Price's food was heaven on earth

Simon who sat down on the side of the road when the little guy was out of breath

Simon that mostly ran in silence until Ollie broke it

"Why did mom leave?"

huh?

"What?"

"Mom she-she just...she left us, wh-"

"Whoa-whoa whoa, mum didn't leave-mum didn't leave us wh-whoa, Olls," he had collapsed to his knee when the boy started to speak just to look at him in the eyes and he tried to read the boys expression, "Mum would never leave you, she loves you so much."

"Then where did she go?? Why didn't she say goodbye?"

"She's with her friends, and her flight left 'fore you woke up, Olls. Laddie, she wouldn't leave you."

Simon who had called you, even though there was time difference as everyone was sitting down to eat dinner

"oh...wow the gang's back together," You grumble as you rub your eyes, having been dead asleep, only for the camera angle to change suddenly and it was just a close up angle of your son's face, "Hi baby."

"Mom guess what Uncle Johnny did."

"EY, LET'S NOT TELL YER MOM BOUT THAT."

"Hey mom?" The boy was easily distracted and then looked down at the phone again.

"Yeah baby?"

"Never go on away again, dad said so."

You stay silent for a moment, blinking, because in all three years you and Simon had been together Ollie had never referred to him as 'dad' or anything remotely close. "Your...right, yeah-I'm pretty bored here anyway."

Simon, who was fine with you going on little getaways just not anymore how dare you try and leave him alone

"You sure it's okay if I stay a few more days?"

With a short laugh he looks over the living room, where Johnny and Olls were fast asleep watching some cartoon he didn't know the name of while John and His wife had chosen to stay in the guest room for the night. It would hell if you stayed for a few more days.

"Of course, luv, I got the boys an' Tessie needs to learn who they are anyway."

"I guess. Okay, the ride is here. I love you."

"I love you more."

My house is fucked up cause like, in general spiders aren't a problem because we have three cats who all LOVE chasing and catching spiders, but the ones that do manage to evade them are the most fucked up, evil spiders ever. Like morally. A couple of years ago, there was a spider that lived in the ceiling over my shower in the basement, and the ONLY time it would leave its home is when I was getting OUT of the shower, naked and covered in water, and it would specifically lower itself via web right above me as I was standing by the shower drying off and I would have to blow at it to get it to go back up. It wouldn't lower itself and other time, even if I was in the area doing literally anything else. Only when I was naked and getting out of the shower. At my most fucking vulnerable. I eventually killed that cunt but now I have another spider that is APPARENTLY living in or around my BED, and a week ago or two or ago it ran across my face while I was trying to go asleep, and then a few days ago I was drifting in and out of sleep while trying to nap and it fucking crawled along my right arm and bit me five different times. I have yet to catch or kill this one. I'm being haunted by the devil and the devil has eight legs

#shut up max #spider tw #tw spiders #spiders are cool or whatever. im overall neutral on them ngl #but theres something so deeply fucked about the spiders that are spawned here in my house #at least the ones that my cats cant manage to catch and devour #four of the five bites are on the back of my shoulder #and the other bite- which was the first and worst one- is on my arm #that one i had to keep track of cause it was swelling pretty badly and getting really hot and itching horribly #but i took a benadryl Saturday night (i got the bites on Friday) and its so much better now #just some lingering redness and a lil hard lump and two lil scabs where it looks like the actual puncture marks were #before that tho it had swollen to like two inches in diameter by Saturday night. with the punctures being in the center #Sunday morning tho after the Benadryl they were back to looking like normal spider bites (in my opinion)#and no i dont think it was a brown recluse because i think it wouldve started reacting worse a lot sooner?#for the first few hours it was just itchy and kinda hurt like a normal bug bite #the worst of it didnt come until Saturday and then a Benadryl helped anyways so idk #just a bad reaction i guess #anyways. point is: woe fucked up demon spiders be upon me
