Hello! 👋

I saw that you are looking for 2007 requests so I thought I would pop in! I adore all the 2007 turtles, but for this one, I’d like to pick Raph. He has some emotional damage from Leo being gone so long, and of course, becoming the Nightwatcher. Could I maybe get something where the reader (gender neutral is fine) is a friend who worries about him, and would love to be more than friends, but isn’t sure how to talk to Raph about it. Short shot or HC’s, maybe? Thanks for considering it! ♥️

TMNT 2007!Raph x GN!Reader: The Confession

Leo’s absence had taken a big toll on the family

Initially when he left, everyone was under the assumption he would be back in a couple of months 

But as time goes on, Leo doesn’t come back- the crime rate rises, and Raph’s had enough.

It’s time to change, no more sitting waiting for the leader to come back and to be able to fight again. He has to take matters into his own hands

It starts off small, until he gets so popular that he has to make his own armor to protect his true identity.

You find out one night, as Raph was severely scratched and bruised and God- how was he gonna get this past Donnie? He was going to be suspicious for sure.

He goes to you. Which, at this time, you weren’t the closest with Raphael at all. You weren’t BFFs. Just friends. But, this night changed it all. 

You’re gentle with him, going into protective mode, patching him up while he tries to ignore your questions that you might have. But, you have none. It’s not your business what Raph does with his life. If anything, you think he’s doing the right thing. 

“I won’t tell. I promise you that.” 

You offer your place for him to stay for the night, and to be his alibi just in case Donnie gets suspicious. But, it’s fine. Everything’s fine. 

You and Raph get closer. He sees you as the only one in the world right now who knows the true him. Not even Casey knew at this point. 

Time goes on, Leo doesn’t come back. In fact, his last letter states that he’s extending his training period. Don’t wait up for him. 

Raphael is livid, and spends more time as the Nightwatcher- defying Splinter’s clear orders to stay in the Lair. He can’t just sit and do nothing. Get a job like Mikey and Donnie-- it’s not in his nature. He’s built for fighting crime. 

Raphael comes to you a lot. Unannounced, either to tell you about the crimes in the city or to be patched up, or to just talk to you. 

You get to know one another more. You get closer as friends, and soon enough, you want to be more than that.

Are you up?

You read the message with squinted eyes, curse the blue light from your phone screen. It’s the leading cause of headaches and strained eyesight among the human race, and it peaks when you’re a teen. You answer Raph’s question in your head, yes, you are in fact awake. You’ve been awake for a couple of hours, waiting for that text from your good friend Raphael. It indicated that he was thinking about you, and was also thinking about seeing you. As Raph’s friend, of course you would be there for him in his time of venting and ranting. As your love interest, OF COURSE you would be there for him. 

You 1:05AM

Always

After sending, you get out of bed, freshening up a bit before the red banded mutant comes crawling through your room's window. Raph doesn’t take long to arrive, he’s a fast turtle, and based on his mood, his speed reflects that. As he knocks on your window, you see his large figure through the glass, the dark night sky making this seem straight out of a horror movie. Only you have a big fat crush on the killer, who you’re willingly letting in right now. 

“You know you always looked good in metal,” 

“Ya ain’t half bad eitha.” Empty flirting. That’s Raph’s forte. Only, that’s what he makes it seems he’s doing.

“Everytime I come ova, I wind up spillin’ my feelings out like ya’re my therapist.” After placing his helmet down on your bedside, Raphael begins pacing around your room like he usually does whenever he’s finished busting crime. 

“It’s not necessarily a bad thing you know,” You say, your eyes watching as his form walks at a rhythmic pace on the hardwood floor, “It’s good to get all that out.”

“It ain’t just that-” Raph swallows,  “I uh…”

I like you. 

“I don’t think Leo’s eva comin’ back.” Raph stops moving, soon taking off all his armor and standing before you as just Raphael. Not the Nightwatcher, not some new vigilante, just Raph. 

You look at him with concern, as his voice falters after the sentence. As if he’s on his final thread before it snaps. Raph’s like that, he begins to talk but after a while, he can’t anymore. It turns into yelling. Not loud enough to hurt your ears, but enough for you to physically feel the pain in his voice. Raph rarely expresses how he feels to you with such emotion , so to see him break like that in front of you is almost unbearable.  

“Raph,” You gather up what you want to say, “Why don’t you think Leo’s coming back?” 

“Should I list all of the reasons from A ta Z?” He snaps, though not directly at you, more like at the situation. You say nothing and look directly into Raph’s eyes, as to let him know you’re listening. 

“Where do I even fuckin’ start?” His voice rises slightly, as he’s riling himself up and preparing for the ugly truth to come. 

“He ain’t wrote in weeks,” Raph’s amber eyes have a hint of hatred in them, as he starts to pace back and forth once again, a sign that he was anxious or enraged. Right now, it was both. 

After sighing, he speaks again, “He ain’t come back when he was s’posed ta,” 

“And ya know tha worst part? Hmm?” You continue to stay silent, your lips pursing and your e/c eyes drooping with concern, “I bet he ain’t even thinkin’ about us!” 

This is the ugly truth to Raph, yet it’s a lie to you. Leo wouldn’t do that to his family. He wouldn’t stop caring about them just for a training period. That’s not the man Splinter raised, no, Leo was an amazing guy. He was dealing with so much shit before he left, that Splinter suggested he do so. So that he can become a better version of himself for him- for his family- for Raph. 

Raph’s outburst causes you to jump up in your spot on the bed, he had never been this upset over Leo being gone until now. 

“I’m done worryin’ about him.” Once he stops moving, he looks at you,  “I can’t keep sittin’ and wonderin’ when he’s gonna come back.” His voice is back to its normal tone, with that hoarse brooklyn accent you fell for. 

You both just stare at each other for a bit, until you pat the spot next to you, to which Raph scoffs at, yet complies anyway. You both stare at the same wall in front of you, sitting in silence for a while, until you break it. 

“I agree with you,” You confess, “I think…I think Leo can handle himself. For what it’s worth, he’s a great ninja.” 

“I’m sure Donnie and Mikey are just as worried as you are about him, no doubt. But…” You take a breath, then continue on, “I know Leo cares about you, so much.” You remember what it was like before Leonardo left, how much he showed that he wanted to be a better leader.  “He did this thing where we would meditate together and after he would tell me all the team bonding things he wanted to try with you and the others.”

Raph thinks about what you just said, but then remembers all the times he argued with Leo; challenged his beliefs as a leader- was vocal about what he thought Leo was doing wrong. 

“D’ya think he left because of me?” 

It pains you that he said that. His voice is at a whisper, as if it’s an intrusive thought, only you can hear it, too.

You turn and glance at him, his side profile telling you all you need to know. He’s hurt, confused, angry, upset. Everything, all at once. 

Despite this burning feeling for Raph, and being so nervous to make a move on him, you push all of that behind you and place a supportive hand on his thigh, a hand that he doesn’t move. He keeps it there, and he keeps you there, too. What surprises you at this moment is that he puts his hand on top of yours. Causing you to blush, but to not forget the point of this whole thing. 

“No. He didn’t leave because of you, Raph.It was a multitude of things. Splinter, stress, everything.” 

“It wasn’t your fault. It’s nobodies.”

“I mean,” He looks at you, “I know I can be a pain in the ass sometimes but-” 

“Stop.” You intrude, trying to stop negative thoughts that cause him to overthink, “Siblings have their moments. But, Raph, it wasn’t you. Sure, you can be a pain, but you’re also an amazing brother and friend.” That’s what he needs to hear right now. That despite his bad qualities, his good ones outshine them. 

But, you keep going. As if you’re possessed by a being that tells you to shower Raph in compliments about his character, that’s what you do. 

You’re hardworking, an impressive ninja, devoted and passionate, everything all wrapped up in one. You’re loyal- so loyal, it’s admirable. I look up to you. I’ll always look up to someone like you. 

It’s the last line that hits him like a ton of bricks. You look up to him. You aspire to be as passionate as him. You strive to be like that. 

He didn’t think anyone would ever want to be like him, but you? That’s what he needs to hear. That’s exactly what he needs to hear. For it to come from you just makes this whole thing even better for him. The person Raphael has fallen for thinks that he’s all of those positive qualities. 

So it’s no surprise that he gets a sudden urge to kiss you right now. You just look so concerned for him, yet your gaze upon him is so beautiful. Just like you. He thinks you're breathtaking. 

“Raph?” You snap him out of his inner thoughts, only for him to look into your eyes once again, trying to see through you. Would you pull away? Would you accept it? Did you even like him? 

You had to. Though there was a doubt in his mind, nobody had been this kind to him. Not to this degree. Aside from his family, nobody cared this much about him, about his life, about his feelings.  

“I don’t know how to tell you this…but…um…” Your voice echoes in his mind, as if the next few moments are a fever dream. But, it’s not. 

You like him

Y/n likes you. 

That’s what you said, and he was NOT making it up. Or, what you whispered. Quiet as a mouse, you wanted to say it. You were hoping to some degree that he didn’t hear you, but he did. 

Raph stands up in front of you, his eyes not leaving your form. It is then that he helps you up, and just leans in. Despite being the overconfident one of the group, he wasn’t feeling the most confident right now. But, this is what he wanted. It’s what you wanted, too. 

You go a bit on your tippy toes, cupping Raphael’s cheeks as his hands go around your waist to pull you as close as ever. Your lips coming together as one, tasting all of him, as he tastes you. 

You like it. 

And guess what? He does, too. 

You and Raphael stay like this for a moment, until he smirks into the kiss, biting your bottom lip. He’s getting confident again. You didn’t pull away, in fact, you practically moan when he does that. 

“Ya know,” Once you pull away for air, Raph’s the one to talk first, “I like ya. Too. Ya’ve been there fa me. I…really appreciate ya, Y/n.” Words like these never came easy to Raph. Shell, they’ve never came to Raph at all until this moment. But,  he had to let you know that. He appreciated YOU. 

“Ya think we should do that more often?” Raphael teases. Ugh, he’s too hot to be a tease as well.

“I…I…yeah,” Raph already has you stumbling on your words. But, he gets a kick out of that from you. He dives in for the second kiss, only for you both to land on your bed from all these pent-up emotions for each other hitting you like the Cowabunga Carl party van. 

And when he asks if you didn’t mind kissing a mutant turtle, you answer by kissing him first this time. And oh, the look on his face said it all. He truly, truly appreciated you and all you had to offer him.

“Thanks. Fa everythin, Y/n.” The red-banded turtle was never good at being vocal with gratuity. He always showed it. But right now, before he leaves out of your window after the long awaited slew of kisses, he has to tell you. 

“See you, Raph.” Once again, he disappears into the night after saluting you. Unbeknownst to Raph, you struggle to fall asleep- restless and jittery- you couldn’t wait to kiss him again.

I'm so glad I've found an account who still posts about the 2007 tmnt! I love this version so freaking much! If it's okay could you please dona raphael x reader where they head up on the rooftops or something like that and just chill for a bit? Maybe they come across a threat and fight them?

2007 Raph is a gem

He thinks you're a gem too btw

After the Curse of Yaotl period, he just wants to sit back for a while. Lay low. Recover before getting back into the swing of things

He regrets that short time where he shut you out while being the Nightwatcher. 

He didn’t want to tell you, but you caught on so well

Plus, you were close enough with Raph to know what he looked like in armor

You tell him one day, that you know

He just looks at you before sighing

“Was it seriously that obvious?”

Yes, yes it is. 

You keep it quiet. You don’t rat your boyfriend out to his family at all. 

Because honestly, Raph is doing great for the city. He’s doing what he’s passionate about, and that’s keeping the city he loves safe. 

After all this is said and done, it ends with him wanting to spend more time with you

In contrast, you want the same

He picks a particular night for a small date, nothing too crazy, just lounging around with you is something he loved

He would never get tired of fighting crime, he lived and breathed being a vigilante with his brothers

But you- he wanted quality time with you

With the one he loves

So when he texts you that he’s outside your window, you smile as you immediately engulf him into the biggest hug you can give

You start by giving him a hard kiss. It’s been a while, he’s been repairing his relationship with his older brother, Leonardo

He’s done with being The Nightwatcher, that’s for sure

But that doesn’t mean he won’t stop crime on his own. Or with you. 

Because as soon as you both decide to sit on the roof, you hear a faint scream coming from below. Once you look down, you see a Purple Dragon member on his own trying to mug an innocent woman

Raph gives you that look, that oh so sexy smile, as in to say, “ready?” 

And you’re ready. He trusts you can handle it. 

It’s a quick save, Raph remains in the shadows yet disabled the PD of his measly pocket knife, and you bring the woman out of the alley, slightly scolding her on the dangers of a dark alley. She thanks you, and heads off

And after that’s done, you both go back up, watching as the cops take the sorry guy away in the back of their car, getting the best seats in the house to see it all go down.

“We ain’t been up here in a while,” Raphael muses, for the first time in a long time, he’s smiling. It doesn’t happen often, that’s for sure. It had been hard for him to maintain your relationship with Leo coming back, the whole shebang. It was stressful, so, so fucking stressful for Raph. 

You remembered the way things were while Leo was gone. How bad it had gotten, how…upset Raph was. He could call it anger, but everyone knew he was upset. He was hurt. How Leo up and left like that. 

“I know,” As you stand up, Raph’s eyes begin to follow your form- something he did often. As if his eyes were meant to land on your face every time you spoke, to catch those moments where your lips curled into a smile or your nose scrunched up in either distaste or confusion. He enjoyed little things about you that he would keep to himself. “Remember? This is where we met.” Right on this rooftop you and Raph decided to sit, feet dangling off the edge like the young teens you used to be a few years back. Meeting the turtles had never been something you regretted. In fact, you wouldn’t know where you’d be in life without them. 

“I remembah. You came out ya window lookin so mad,” With good reason, too. You remember that night like it was yesterday.

“Excuse me!” Raphael turned his head, just like the rest of his brothers. They had no idea they had been so loud, but at the same time, they had no idea anyone would even be bold enough to climb out their window and onto the rooftop. But yet, here you were. Hair undone and frizzed, in your loungewear with the fuzziest slippers on, ready for these unknown vigilantes to feel the wrath of Y/n L/n. 

After failing to retreat in time due to how unexpected you came, they just stood. Looking at you, wondering how you would react. Raphael had assumed it would be terribly, and he had to live with scaring yet another human due to his appearance. 

“Look, I have an orgo exam that I’m trying to study for,” You huff, seemingly unfazed by the fact that there are four mutant turtles you’re conversing with, bandanas all different colors. “So would you please kindly…pipe the fuck down?!”

The turtle with the brown eyes and blue bandana smiles warmly, clearing his throat before speaking up. He was the obvious leader.

“Sorry…um…” Leo was still getting new to the talking to random strangers thing. He had only been the official leader for a few months. “We didn’t mean to make that much noise, right, Raph?” The others all look at one turtle. The one in red, who crosses his arms and looks away. It was his fault for making so much noise anyway. 

“Right.” He rolls his eyes, those amber eyes. They seemed to avoid looking at your own. It appeared that each turtle had a distinct color. Raphael’s seemed to fit him the most. He was rebellious, and clearly didn’t follow rules well. But, that didn’t steer you away. 

“Are you struggling in orgo?” The one in purple asks. He can see your clear frustration and stress. Plus, he’s a pro. 

“A lot.” You sigh, “But, s’not like anyone can help at one in the morning.” 

“That’s where you're wrong,” 

And this, dear readers, was the start of a beautiful friendship. This is now Donnie’s second human he’s gotten to actually invite them in and have conversation. The first being April. 

As Donnie helps you study, the other turtles get comfortable.

Ever since that night, they had frequented your apartment for a while, before finally letting you meet their sensei. They trusted you that much. 

“You were the hardest to crack,” You say. And, it’s true. After getting to know everyone, Raphael was the last one you got closer with. But, it was for a very particular reason. There was something about you that he found…attractive. It was something he kept to himself for a while. Luckily for Raph, you had started to become attached to him in such a way that strengthened his feelings for you. You wanted to get to know him better. To know the true Raphael. Now, he may seem like a crude turtle and doesn’t show his emotions as much as his other brothers, but it didn’t stop him from trying to get closer to you. 

You had gotten extremely close when Leo left for training, and it seemed you and Raph were conjoined to the hip. The day you both confessed was a fun-filled one. Raph was just so stressed and upset about Leo leaving and oh, you suggested a bike ride to get him to cool down. He convinced you to come with him, and after a long night of rendezvous and absolute mayhem driving around, it ended in a kiss. 

“Remember the whole Winters thing?” You ask, nudging his arm after sitting back down. Raphael scoffs

“Gah, don’t remind me- ‘specially bout that lil’ Jersey fucker,” Raphael vividly remembers the “Jersey Devil” from the diner that truly gave him a run for his Nightwatcher money. He couldn’t believe he got a few hits in on him, either. He was so tiny, but still managed to bang Raph’s head into the fridge. Little shit. 

“I would’ve paid big bucks to see that, Raph.”

“I bet ya would, ya masochist.” He jokes. 

After continuing the conversation for another hour, you realize something about you and your boyfriend. 

You were a perfect match. Sure, every relationship had its ups and downs. But right now, in this moment, you and Raph were undeniably great for each other. It was something about the way you were able to find ways to destress him that didn’t involve punching something, and he was able to take you out of your comfort zone and from being cooped up in you apartment. You both had longed for someone that would be able to help, and luckily for you, that someone was sitting right beside you. 

“It’s,” The temperature dropped since being outside, causing Raph to shift uncomfortably. Stupid reptilian characteristics, “It’s getting cold, how about we…”

“If ya suggest a chick flick again I will sit out ‘hea and freeze ta death.” 

“You know me so well,” You say, “But not this time, how about we order suspiciously cheap take-out and watch a shitty horror movie instead?

“And that’s why I love ya, thinkin’ the same as me.” Raph gives you a quick kiss on the lips before getting up, his hand extending for you to take. As you gracefully do, he smiles at your wrist, you still have on the fabric of his old bandana. He wanted you to have something of his as you gave him something of yours. He thought you wouldn’t like it, but having something that constantly reminds you of Raph around your wrist is exactly what you wanted. And as you head toward your unlocked window to enjoy another night with your boyfriend, you can’t help but gaze at him. 

He loves you. Raph loves you. He isn’t the most romantic, but he tries. He tries so hard. Like cuddles on the couch as you click a random horror movie on Netflix, sharing chinese food together. He wouldn’t want it any other way.

“I missed this,” You say, watching the credits roll after the movie. It was terrible, by the way. But between yours and Raph’s commentary throughout, it made it 10x less shitty. He hums in agreement, only for him to pull you closer. 

“Ya know I ain’t the best at apologizin’, but…”

“You don’t have to apologize, Raph.” You say as you turn to him, “It was a difficult time for you and the others. What matters is that you and Leo are cool again.” You were right. Family comes first. Raph especially knows this.

“At least it’s over,” Placing a kiss on his forehead, knowing it’s something he secretly loves. 

You were right again.

It’s over. Everything could go back to the way it was, with him and Leo being as close as ever. Though Raphael would never say it out loud, he thinks that Leonardo is a great brother and leader. He understands his burden, and now knows to not hound him or put him through any extra stress. Splinter made no mistake in making the one in blue the leader of his brothers. It was simply meant to be.

And now that he’s all good with you and Leo, Raphael- who rarely smiles- smiles to himself. He smiles as you get up to turn off the light and TV, feeling you cuddle up against his chest, your hair tickling his neck when you finally get in a comfortable position. He listens to your soft breathing, before you drift off into sleep.

“I love you too, by the way.”

He smirks, though it’s unseen by you or anyone who may be watching. 

He just can’t wait to show you how much he loves you the next time he comes over.

Rooftop Meeting

Plot: Min makes an unlikely friend when she spends the night stargazing on the rooftop of her apartment building.

Notes: Mostly silly fluff, Min says hell (I'm sorry Mikey xD), The ULTIMATE BESTIE DUO, Bradford mention cause he sucks, Mikey has a new human bestie now-

The rooftops of New York’s apartment buildings were probably not the safest places to be sitting around late at night but it wasn’t as if Min had anyone at home to really be around. She may as well take this time to do some stargazing…and that was exactly what she did.

Sitting on the rooftop of the apartment building she and her brother lived at, sitting towards the edge of the roof but not so much that she could fall. Telescope in hand, she tried to see if she could find some stars….though that was rare..

Especially in New York..

She sighed as she moved the telescope away from her eye after a while, rubbing her eyes sleepily as she thought to herself, the sounds of the city were everywhere, the sound of cars still driving around at night, car alarms, she could even hear some screaming… but that was normal when you live in the city.

Though she started to hear something strange….skateboard wheels?…and they were getting louder and louder and… closer??? 

Before she could even react or move out of the way, she heard an excitable yell that…devolved into a scream-

“BOOYAKASHAAA, WHA- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!-”

And then a crash and thud right behind her, she could have sworn she even saw something fly forward and away as someone…crashed behind her. A skateboard soon rolled towards her as she scrambled to stand up.

“What the heck!? Are you okay!? How the hell did you get up-"

She walked over, squinting her eyes as she tried to see who it was. Who would be so dumb and reckless as to ride a skateboard and jump around on rooftops!?! She heard the guy groan as she approached him, it sounds like a guy but….the shape of him looks so…bulky? Weird..

Min froze when the figure groaned in what seemed to be pain and realization as he seemed upset about something, his head whipping up for a second as he scrambled around a little…

That’s when she noticed that he..was definitely not human-

She was going to say something there was a GIANT TURTLE in front of her, she gripped her telescope in her hands a bit defensively as she tried to hold it up to strike, until..

"AAWWWW MY PIZZAAA!!..."

The giant turtle was talking….

HE WAS TALKING!??! 

Min thought to herself as she seemed to be in a panic, trying to figure out what to do as the giant turtle…boy? Seemed to roll and flop on his back in a frustrated groan. She was able to get a good look at him, definitely a turtle…she can see a shell and everything…but also, an orange mask around his eyes and.. Were those?…

"Y...you're....a giant...talking turtle....with......are those nunchucks!?", Min yelped as she held her telescope close to her, a giant talking turtle and he was armed?!

She tried to make sure she wasn’t distracted…just in case the giant turtle decides to do something…attack maybe? But he just seemed to be..laying down there. He seemed really upset.

"Huh? Oh...yeah.... aww man! My pizza's gonee...", He grumbled, an almost pouty look on his seemingly freckled light green face as he let out an upset whine as he continued to lay on the roof.

"Pizza?..."

"....it fell off the building when I tripped.."

She blinked as he explained, that explains the thing that seemed to be flying off earlier..must have been the pizza box that he dropped. She thought for a moment as she sat down quietly, he seemed…harmless.

It wouldn’t hurt to do something..

She was a little suspicious, eyeing the turtle for a moment before taking out her phone. "I can...order you another one...if you want?", She offered, there was probably no harm in it.

Suddenly, the turtle jumped up excitedly, sitting up as his baby blue eyes seemed to shine at the idea, "REALLY?!??!", He exclaimed, rocking back and forth with excitement before he froze a little as his eyes squinted in suspicion as he seemed to move back the tiniest bit.

"This isn't some sort of trick is it?"

Min couldn’t help but roll her chocolate brown eyes as she thought to herself quietly, she doesn’t blame the turtle for being suspicious, she was suspicious too. 

".....Listen, turtle guy, if I was gonna trick you or trap you...I would have done that like... as soon as you fell on your face. Now what kind of pizza do you want?", She asked, looking as the smile seemed to reappear on his face.

“Pepperoni!! Oh! And make it a large!”, He said excitedly as he seemed to grin more and more, he must really like pizza.

“That’s a lot of pizza for a single…talking turtle.”, She said with a laugh as she ordered the pizza for him, looking at the turtle now that she got an even better look at him, he looks…humanoid to an extent too which somehow makes it less scary.

“My name’s Mikey! And it’s not just for me. Pizza’s for my bros too!”

She turned to look at him again as she seemed even more curious by that, “...You have brothers?..”, That question made Mikey panic slightly, gah he wasn’t supposed to say that.

“I uh…well uh…gah! I…No?”

Min raised an eyebrow at him for that answer.

“Okay, yeah, I do. I’m not supposed to tell you about my bros…..and I’m not supposed to be seen..”, Mikey seemed to mumble as he rubbed the back of his head, he laughed nervously.

“Well, don’t worry. I won’t tell anyone that I saw you.”

“Really?”, He asked, seeming…confused but with a suspicious tone in his voice.

“Yeah, sure. Your secret is safe with me, Mikey right?”, Min asked as she smiled a little when Mikey nodded, seeming excited by this, “Yeah! What about you? What’s your name, dudette?”

“Min, Min Xiuying..”

“That’s a cool name!”, Mikey exclaimed, smiling a little more as Min couldn’t help but smile back as it turned into a grin when she asked, “Sooooo…. Do you always skateboard on rooftops and crash in front of people?”

“Oh dudette! All the time! My bros and I do it for patrol all the time!” 

“Patrol?...”, She tilted her head, confused as to what she meant as Mikey seemed to light up even more, beginning to excitedly ramble about himself and his brothers, how they turned into these giant mutated turtles, how they’re actually trained ninjas and how they’re out at nights fighting evil alien robots…

Time almost stopped as Min listened to Mikey’s stories about his life, his brothers, he has three of them, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello…and they apparently have a dad too! Master Splinter (who is apparently a giant mutant rat-), he called him, the one who taught them all the skills.

Soon they both heard a knock at the door to the stairway, Min signaled for Mikey to hide as she opened the door to take the pizza from the pizza guy, leaving him a tip as she closed the door after.

“Time moves fast… Here’s your pizza.”, She said as she smiled a little, though it seemed a little strained. She enjoyed his company…it’s been a long while since she had an actual friend..but they just met and she’s just helping him.

“Cool! Thanks dudette!”, Mikey exclaimed, standing up to take the pizza as he smiled excitedly when he saw the pizza before looking up at her for a moment, “Hey, you wanna be my friend?”, He asked suddenly, smile still wide.

“What?...Really?..”, She asked, surprised as she looked at the turtle, oddly enough, she was the slightest bit taller than him.

“Yeah! You seem really cool! Definitely cooler than Bradford…”, He grumbled, seeming a little upset about that Bradford guy for a second before smiling back at Min, “You’re definitely cooler than him! You even got pizza for me and my bros!”

“Y..yeah, we can be friends!”

“Cool! I gotta go, Leo’s gonna freak if I’m gone any longer than I already am! Plus, the dudes are gonna be soooo hungry! But we can hang tomorrow night if you want!”, Mikey said as he grabbed his board, tucking it under his other arm as he held both pizzas in his hands again, no more skateboarding for the night. He can’t drop another pizza.

“Yeah, let’s hang out tomorrow, you can tell me more about all your ninja adventures.”, Min said as she gently nudged Mikey’s arm, making sure not to push him so much that he drops the pizza again.

“Yeah!!! See ya tomorrow, Min!”, Mikey said before running on the rooftop, jumping to the other building’s roof as he seemed to be going really fast, must be those ninjutsu skills that he has been training so well at.

Min smiled a little as she took a breath, she couldn’t help the big grin on her face. She has a friend, an actual real friend. 

She can definitely say, she has the coolest friend ever.

I’ve found my deep love of this fic so I’ve got two asks:

1) that’s the name of the ship? I can only find Raph x mona

2) any fics you’d rec with them?

Personally, I and many others call the ship "RaMona" and I think this is the most popular ship name for them that most fans refer to it as, but others find it hard to use cause Ramona it’s an actual name, so often times people add "TMNT" in front of it so the search engine knows we are referring to the ship and not a character from Scott Pilgrim.

Other people use "RaphMona", like my username, or (rarely) "Monael" or "RaphLisa", or just "Raph x Mona/Raph x Mona Lisa/Raphael x Mona Lisa" to make it easier to search.

As for fanfics, there's many to read! I reblog a bunch on this blog that you can find under the hashtag "Fanfics". But for an easier way, here's some RaMona fanfics that I recommend!

My main ongoing RaMona fanfic is "Courting a Salamandrian", a story following Raph's goal to propose to Mona Lisa, but someone is doing everything in their power to keep the couple apart.

If you like RaMona and also 2012 x Rise crossovers, I recommend @lieutenantbiscute fanfic called "Shell Shocked" A very good and well written story about a married Raph and Mona adopting the Rise boys!

If you're looking for a little angst, then check out "There's Only One" by Netbug009. A sad but sweet story of Mona running into the other Raphael that was sent into outer space after the end of the S4 space arc.

One of the first RaMona fanfics I ever read is called "The Peace The Evening Brings" by pikachucutie17 on AO3 and I still love it to this day.

There's also this interesting fanfic on Wattpad called "Y'gythgba's Backstory" which is the story of Raph and Mona's love story (and even their romance after the show) told through Mona's POV.

My ASL teacher gave us this website cause it’s updates constantly (ASL evolves lots) and it’s a lot more accurate and reliable than just google :))

To work it- type the word, and a word bank will pull up, click on the term u want and a video/description of the sign and word will appear!!!

It’s rlly simple and has most words and if it doesn’t it’s bc it’s finger spelled probs!!!!

If u want more in-depth good grammar, search up “five parameters ASL”, “glossing in ASL” and watch a few videos to see “how sentence structure differs in ASL”

As always, remember it’s ok to make mistakes/notice a mistake, just be mindful and kind :D most of us aren’t out for malice and if someone is it’ll probs be very obv 😭

Big Mama's Dialogue

I've heard a few people lament on how Big Mama is difficult to write because of how she speaks, so I thought I'd share my tips and tricks.

I start out by writing what I intend for her to say without the flowery language added on. For example:

"I look nice in the new jacket I bought."

Doesn't sound like Big Mama at all, but it'll help you have a place to start so you don't have to be intimidated by scrolling through thesaurus.

Now, Big M has a tendency to do the following:

Use outdated American slang (anywhere from the 1920's to the 60's)

Apply alliterations (using the same letter at the beginning of a word to the adjacent/close word)

Use adverbs, so describing words with the end suffix -ly (i.e. softly, mysteriously, quickly)

Sprinkle in a few made-up words

So let's take the base sentence I provided an shape it to Big M's standards.

Instead of word vomiting out all the outdated American slang I know, I'm going to link some resources/websites you all can look at and come back to. She mostly uses 20's slang, so the links are centered around that.

So let's edit our base sentence a little, now it's:

"This new jacket I bought is the cat's meow."

Adding the next layer:

I did mention that Big Mama tended to use both alliterations and adverbs in copious amounts, but don't feel pressured to use both at once in a sentence. If it fits, it fits. If it doesn't, some trimming might be useful. This is why having a base sentence is important, so the intention behind the dialogue isn't lost under all the additions you're adding. So with that in mind, I'm going to alter our example:

"This new jazzy jacket I just bought is the cat's meow."

The last part:

I save the "fake words" part for last, because beginning with them can make your sentences clunky or not make sense. This part really relies on your personal touch or the context and tone of the situation at hand. The example I gave make Big Mama sound like she's preening about her looks, so I'm going to lean into that.

"This newsie-woozie jazzy jackety I just bought is the cat's meow! Grr!"

And for comparison, here's where we started.

"I look nice in the new jacket I bought."
