I asked an AI to write a poem about Toby Fox and this is the result!
I'm so exites for ya'll to read this, this poem filled my human(?) brain with so much serotonin!
In a realm where normies dwell,
There's a legend they can't foretell,
A genius, strange and so uncanny,
Toby Fox, the one and only.
With his games, he weaves a spell,
Through pixels and tunes, stories compel,
A tale so deep, it makes you ponder,
Undertale, a world to wander.
His mind's a swirling universe,
Where quirky thoughts gleefully immerse,
Creating worlds that defy the logic,
A Tumblr dream, chaotic magic.
His presence thrives in the online land,
Aesthetic, memetic, oh so grand,
Obsessed with dogs and skeletons too,
An awesomely weird creative brew.
From Papyrus' puns to Sans' shrug,
Toby Fox sets the fandom abuzz,
Meta humor rife, jokes so sly,
We join in laughter, don't know why.
In battles fierce, the music roars,
His compositions, hearts do soar,
A blend of genres, tunes so diverse,
He tugs our heartstrings, makes them burst.
But amidst the madness, worlds collide,
He intertwines, a master's pride,
With Deltarune, a glimpse anew,
Of what's to come, a sequel true.
Through Tumblr tags and fan art streams,
We celebrate his wacky dreams,
A community that never tires,
For Toby's weirdness never expires.
So here it is, a tribute sincere,
To Toby Fox, the one we hold dear,
Expect the unexpected, never a bore,
For awesomely weird, he shall forever soar.

the thing about spec ops is like. its generally well known as being the “violence bad how could you do this” game but i think something that gets forgotten about when discussing that type of game is that in spec ops: the line the players inability to not do those violent actions they’re then shamed for isn’t to say “violence bad” but rather as a commentary on the american military industrial complex as a whole. By not letting the player say no, the player is put in the same shoes as the characters. they cant say no to dropping those bombs or killing those civilians lest they be jailed (if not outright killed)  by their own guys but its undeniable what they did was repulsive to its core.  theres a deeper narrative purpose beyond just screaming violence bad and trying to shame you for playing the game.
then you have games like undertale, who also shame you for violence but toby “absolute mad man” fox actually ACCOUNTED for the players ability to say no to anything. If the player is shamed for violence, its because they went out of their way to commit said violence. There’s so many second chances and opportunities to back out after killing multiple characters that you have to actively and maliciously ignore all the warnings and press onward just for the thrill of the kill. undertale shaming you for violence isnt shallow because YOU made the choice, you werent required to do any of it to progress the game and were even warned not to and yet did it anyway. The deeper themes of the game shine because you decided to stop the violence out of your own free will and toby let you do it the entire time.
the last of us 2 doesnt do either of these things. you’re strapped to a chair and forced to commit photo realistic violence and then the game screams at you for doing it. theres no deeper narrative meaning behind what the game forces you to do and there’s never any input on the players part regarding any of it other than pressing square to kill on command like the game demands you do. within the first 20 minutes of the game players are already rendered miserable by events they cant control and made to suffer for it for the entirety of the game by a writer who thinks he’s some holier-than-thou genius.  you know violence is bad. you arent a child. you’re forced to do thinks any sensible person would immediately realize is wrong and have no agency in the matter for no reason other than exploitative misery porn is considered art now. do you feel bad yet, player. did it feel bad to play our game. please we tortured our employees with crunch and forced them to watch gore so you could feel bad about the things i make you do because i think violence is bad.

What's your favorite game?
SHA WHY MUST YOU ASK SUCH DIFFICULT QUESTIONS….
this will be a very long answer brace yourself
obviously one of my top favourite games is hollow knight for obvious reasons like the breathtaking soundtrack, stunning visuals, natural flowing gameplay thats just difficult enough so that its rewarding but doesnt make you extremely mad in the process, extraordinary lore and exceptional characters and character designs… i dont have enough words of praise in my lexicon for this game and i absolutely cannot wait for silksong!
then one of my favourite nintendo franchises in existence: splatoon. so many memories from when the first game came out, the nostalgia, the uniqueness of it all. nintendo truly outdid themselves, they made an enjoyable shooter game that is incredibly special and there is nothing like it.
night in the woods, one of my favourite story based games. the soundtrack is amazing, the artstyle inspires me a lot, and the story is really interesting and tackles mental health really well which a lot of games just cant do these days because developers dont put in enough research.
undertale and deltarune. i cant answer an ask about my favourite games without mentioning those two. undertale is a masterpiece with a phenomenal soundtrack, wonderful characters and a story that tugs on your heartstrings in just the right ways, and after all these years it still makes me tear up wether its just listening to the soundtrack or watching yet another playthrough of it. and deltarune is following in its footsteps really well, even though it may not even be complete yet. these games are so incredibly unique and i admire toby fox so much…
pokemon sun and moon are my favourite pokemon games… they may be easier than the older gens, but they hold a special place in my heart because of all the alolan pokemon designs, the story and the characters.
celeste.. oh gosh that game… tackles the ever so difficult topic of mental health so incredibly well, with the beautifully composed soundtrack by lena raine and the art… the gameplay is almost natural, you pick it up easily as soon as you start playing… the level designs are incredible…
bugsnax. i think the designs of all the bugs are incredible, i love the dark story and all the queer rep they have… fun to play and i think they did an amazing job with it!
paper mario and the origami king was the first paper mario game i played myself and boy was it an experience… i loved all of the small details, the gameplay never got repetitive and i will admit that the end made me cry a little. i was slightly afraid to pick it up at first since ive heard stories about the two most recent paper mario games that came before it were terrible, but this game was worth it.
yoshis woolly world! this game means so much to me… i used to play it with my grandpa in co-op mode and those are some of my most cherished memories, every time i think of that game i get really happy… the gameplay itself was incredibly fun too!
minecraft had to be on this list. ive been playing this game since 2012, ive seen it grow and shape into the incredible game it is today. it has sparked so much creativity from all sorts of different people… the insanely detailed and breathtaking builds, the genius redstone and command block contraptions, the endless numbers of servers you can play on and the limitless possibilities with mods… its probably one of the best games of all time no matter how much the internet tries fighting about it. arguably one of the most influential games as well.
there are so many more id love to mention but i feel like ive written a little too much 😭

now now children we must remember Toby fox is a man of genius and moral ambiguity
You know depending on how the surface reacts to monsters frisk may have done a terrible thing by freeing monster kind, but the ending was left open for us speculate and slowly go mad
Likewise, the characters are complex and you choose your opinions on them. Sans technically has the cleanest hands out of all them (even though he threatened death to a child) since basically everyone attempts to kill/capture you to be killed, at least in a pacifist run. Alphys did unethical experimentation so her claws ain't spotless either.
Just saying my friends you gotta be careful about how you weigh your sins

Yes, but papyrus won’t kill you. It’s impossible to be killed by him

Unmeta
You know what’s ridiculous? This post was originally supposed to be an essay, an entire thesis backed with unshakable logic that I wanted to become my magnum opus. But as it turns out, I’m pretty terrible at doing that sort of thing. The first day I’m full of enthusiasm, while the next day I reread what I wrote and I delete it all again. It’s terrible.
For this reason, I’ve decided to just start with the opinion part. Instead of laying out the facts and easing the reader into it, I’ll just blurt everything out in one go. Instead of neatly organizing everything, I’ll write my thoughts as they come to me.
(Update for 2/Oct/2021: I no longer remember when I made the first draft of this post. Maybe it was in 2018, maybe even as early as 2017. Who knows. This post existed in my drafts since forever. It is time to finally publish it. It contains very little information, very little evidence for anything or logic or facts, it’s just a one big opinion piece that I began writing years ago out of frustration. Frustration not aimed at the game itself, nor at Toby or anyone else, but at my inability to decouple the “meta” from Undertale and thus causing me to disassociate from the characters that I loved, when I didn’t plan to do so. All I ever wanted is to make sense of the Undertale world, instead of giving its inhabitants a meta-existential dread. In a nutshell, for the Undertale world to be self-contained, the 4th wall must stay intact, and the mechanics of the UT world mustn’t resemble a video game. That’s basically the gist of this post. Proceed with reading.)
You know Undertale meta? All the 4th wall breaking stuff and whatnot? The stuff that makes the game so awesome?
What about it you say?
It’s not real. I don’t think it is. It cannot be.
Tell me, has Undertale personally impacted you? Was it more than just a game to you? I know for a fact that for many people, it was much more than that. So tell me, is it fine by you that despite presenting itself in this way to us, it still sort of cops out of this at the very end? (By which I mean, when we learn that we aren’t Frisk. That we’re just someone controlling them.)
Some say that this cop-out, this act of “disassociation”, is necessary for our psychological journey to end. And I agree. We cannot dwell on this forever, else we lose our minds. But what I meant is something much more... materialistic.
Let’s take Oneshot, a game that’s arguably even more meta than Undertale. Oneshot embraces the 4th wall. It labels us a god. It portrays the game itself as an in-game machine. And yet, it feels real. Despite all this ridiculousness, the story feels real and possible. Kind of like The Matrix. Perhaps think of everyone in Oneshot except for the main character as a Matrix program, while Niko is the only user hooked up to it. It still feels real, because Niko is real, because there exists a real world they can to return to.
But Undertale floats somewhere between being real and being a fairy tale, a mere bedtime story. The reason is its lax handling of the 4th wall. Say, if Undertale were to be considered a “real” possibility, as in, entirely fictional, but still believable, kinda like The Matrix, kinda like any science fiction, or just fiction in general, what would it be like?
I’ll tell you, everything would have to be real, everything would have to look exactly how we see it. There’d need to be turns, there’d need to be save files, there’d need to be so many bizarre things, it probably wouldn’t take long before the NPCs themselves realized their own nonexistence, probably around the time they developed computers and video games. It’d be so similar, they’d have to be either stupid or under some kind of spell to not realize that their entire world is just one giant video game. Especially Flowey. Some say that he has already realized this, as his dialogue hints towards this. Which puts a super unfortunate spin on his condition. Furthermore, the entire game could be described through its Game Maker code. No need for laws of physics, just observe the if-else statements!
It would also mean that Frisk is controlled by a third unknown entity. If we were to take everything we do to Frisk at face value, it must all be them. Except... after a true reset, everything gets reset, even things about Frisk, such as them expecting the whoopee cushion prank. So... Frisk isn’t in control. But Chara isn’t either. Take for example the final fight against Asriel. Chara appeared pretty enthusiastic during it. What if someone were to reset the timeline during the fight? Either it wasn’t them who did so, or they were just pretending to be entertained, or perhaps they aren’t the narrator in the first place even.
No matter what, there will always be an instance where Frisk forgets, and where Chara doesn’t do something when they could have. Once you mess with the game enough, their personalities stop making sense.
This gradual breakdown of the narrative as I keep attacking the logic of it from every direction imaginable is a symptom of something far bigger. The fact that unlike The Matrix or Oneshot, there is no “real world” in this game. The virtual part of it is what the game is trying to make us focus on. It’s all there is. There is not even a hint of “another” world in the game, a world that wouldn’t be governed by these terrible rules. And even if there was one, even if you consider what Sans said to be that world, even if you considered Deltarune to be that world, there is still no guarantee that everything will be okay. What if the characters - your friends, aren’t real in this actual real world, what if they’re all just computer simulations? There’d have to be an entire population hooked up to a virtual reality for everyone to be “safe” as I’m putting it in this hypothetical real world, which sounds not only ridiculous, but like a direct ripoff of The Matrix.
The game has made Frisk the main character. Why, when making Sans the main one, the one who at least has a possibility of coming from a “real” real world, would be far more logical?
Because it lacks logic. Undertale is an experiment. Toby Fox is not a genius. He was just messing around, he didn’t think of literally every tiny little logical detail (contrary to what some individuals would like to think), he just explained enough for most of the story to make sense. But, no matter how you spin it, this fundamental flaw will always be there. The story tries to merge you and the protagonist, before disassociating you from them. Even if you always were disassociated from them, how can the in-game world be real, when other aspects of your reality weren’t disassociated yet? Where’s the disassociation for battles and turns, for save files and time travel, for stats and everything? How can Undertale claim to be complete, when it isn’t? ... Perhaps because it is not claiming to be. It’s an experiment after all. And I don’t mean “incomplete” as in a single update / new game can fix it. I mean the premise itself is already broken from the start. And while there are many fictional worlds which function on a similar level of meta, Undertale is the only one that appears to irk me mad. I don’t know why. Maybe I love the characters. Maybe I love them very much. Maybe I love them so much, that I wanna write a fan fiction about them. And maybe, just maybe, this tiny little issue is making this dream of mine impossible. Undertale is a story conveyed through game mechanics. Choosing any other medium breaks everything down and the author needs to invent their own rules. There’s simply no way around it. Unless someone has the balls to program a fan game of their own, there’s just no way to resolve this without adjusting the canon a little bit, to make it “a little bit more sensible” as some would put it. Just a small nudge, a lil’ nudgie wudgie to the canon mechanics AAAAAND we’re in fanon territory. Excellent, better go all out.
Here’s my head canon, my little “adjustment” of the canon rules. Thanks to it, I can once again think about Undertale as a real world, I no longer need to philosophize over the meta like I did above, I can all put it past me:
Saving, loading, resetting? Regular sci-fi time travel.
The save file? The parameters of the time machine.
LV and EXP? Another set of properties of the machine, though it could be properties of the soul too. I’m undecided on that note. But either works, that’s what’s important.
Chara destroying the world through LV? No, screw that, Chara merely tuned Frisk out. And the black void was the inside of their mind as Chara denied them access to their own body.
The intro? Literally never happened, no one “saw” it. (The past was still real. It’s just the intro that never existed.) The outro? Literally never physically occurred, Frisk wasn’t “stuck” on the ending credits, unable to go further, fuck that.
Flowey? No screw everything meta about Flowey, there exists a perfectly logical explanation to everything he says, and if not, such as in the genocide run with him hinting towards people watching but not acting... he never said that in the first place!
Same with turns, the battles don’t actually look that way, there are no turns, what Sans perceives and abuses as such is just an illusion, the actual battle against Sans is absolutely fluid. And him pausing at the end and not letting us go is him keeping his guard up, until falling asleep and giving us an opportunity to sneak near him and strike. We don’t need turns to explain it. And what he said about turns... just ignore it! Ignore everything that directly proves me wrong! Because resolving that fucking conundrum IS more important than being logically consistent, and you can’t change my mind on that. Screw logic when the foundation of the entire fandom, of every UT-related fiction, is at stake here.
And I shall call this philosophy... the Unmeta. Because it attempts to undo the meta. Hence, “unmeta” for short.

Listen to: BIG SHOT by Toby Fox
Note: There be Deltarune Chapter 2 Spoilers below.
So listening to this song on infinite loop. (Because HOT DAMN)
At about 32 seconds in (and repeated later) on top of the lovely madness of everything else there's this sound that sounds a hell of a lot like the wallmaster shadow sound effect from Ocarina of Time.
The fight song of a puppet DESPERATELY seeking freedom from his strings is haunted by the sound of the shadow of a giant hand. TOBY. YOU MAD GENIUS YOU.

Disney Movies List
Ok first of all I want to make clear that english is not my first language. I therefore apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Please don't be too strict with me =D
I recently bought Disney+ and I plan now to watch and review every movie, Disney has ever produced or participated in it. And I tell you, this will be a hell of a trip, because my list now contains no fewer than 701 movies. That means if I watch at least one movie every day, it will take me about 2 years to see all of them. And since I will most likely not watch a movie every day, I will definitely need at least twice as long....
For the films on my list, which I marked with a cross at the end, it means that I have seen them already. However, since I last saw most of these movies in my childhood or teenage years (so at least 15 years ago), it will be interesting for me to rewatch them after such a long time. I have probably already forgotten most of the plots.
I also plan to watch them in chronological order and rank them. The movies that I don't find on Disney+ I will watch somewhere else.
Here is the list: (The films follow the chronological order in which they were published. However, it is quite possible that I accidentally swapped a few. But I think most of it is accurate).

I cannot physically express how much I love the villains and heroes in Deltarune
Heroes -  Diverse, smart, with differing ideas, but they still can get along. Their relationship is affected by outside characters, which is something I don’t really see that often. Ralsei - Beautiful, smart, too good for this world, and overall amazing.
Kris - Mysterious but not annoyingly so. Despite the fact that he doesn’t really talk, you get connected to his character.
Susie - That perfect balance of annoying but dangerous bully and bad villain. A character that had a perfect redemption arc.
Lancer - He’s a beautiful villain, and an amazing hero! Funny, going his own way, not changing himself for the sake of the team. He’s the complete opposite of Ralsei, and I love that.
Villains -  Well portrayed, amazingly designed, interesting(even the background characters!), and overall all unique and perfect! I’m a villain-lover myself(you can’t have heroes without villains!) and I again cannot express how amazing they are! Just as amazing as the heroes in design, character, intrigue, and ideas.
Lancer - Literally my favorite kind of villain. Annoying but cute, you can’t stay mad at him! His redemption arc is as amazing as Susie’s, if funnier. His antics are funny, and dangerous, but he’s got alot to learn about being a villain. Adore his friendship with Susie.
King - While not a beloved character, he’s an amazing villain! Strong, but not just that, smart and clever! Very mysterious, but he doesn’t have that mysterious look, so you don’t expect anything of him that’s new or clever, until he strikes! Political genius as well, willing to do whatever it takes to win. Can’t wait to learn more about him and Lancer.
Rouxls Caard - I never laughed so hard! He’s like if you got Papyrus and mixed him with Mettaton! He’s hilarious and interesting, but we aren’t really given much about his character, except that he’s the Kings favorite(and Lancers!), and he’s determined.
The Background Darkners - All of them are equally well designed and well characterized! The fights with them are cool and interesting, and the casual conversations are memorable. It really made the world unique!
Susie - Does she count? No idea! Just as amazing as a “villain” as a hero!
Jevil - I tried to hate him, I really did, but I adore him! His design, his fight, his phrases! He’s hard to beat, so a good villain, but he’s also extremely mysterious, giving you things at the end of the fight, and speaking in riddles and metaphors. It’s hard to tell if he’s good or bad, right or wrong, or if he’s just someone in the middle. I love jokers, jesters, and chaos-bringers, and Jevil’s all those things! He’s like if you got every meme from late 2017 to 2018 and mashed em together. You may hate him, but he’s an amazing “villain,” and an amazing character.
Once again, Toby Fox has created a work of art. The characters, looks, themes, and creativity is something that always comes from Mr. Toby Fox.
Infinity/10

unrelated, undertale is still a good game and I still love it.
One of the things that gets me still is the musical track ‘Undertale’.
The structure is really simple but it has this super emotionally complex feel to it that encompasses relief and hope. (but also sadness???)
This tune moves like a deep, calming breath that rolls through you and back out again for 6 and a half minutes and it still has the same impact on me that it had the first time I heard it,
youtube
toby fox, you mad fucking genius.
