The Weeknd - House Of Balloons / Glass Table Girls analysed:
The opening lines set the tone, suggesting that the singer's life has changed significantly since someone came into it. The lines "Been on another level / Since you came, no more pain" imply that this person has brought joy and pleasure to his life.
The phrase "You're in my world now, you can stay" suggests a sense of possessiveness or control over this person. It's almost as if the subject is being welcomed into a world of indulgence and excess, but also being warned that they now belong to the singer.
The repeated lines "If it hurts to breathe, open a window" and "Your mind wants to leave, but you can't go" could be interpreted as a reference to the intoxicating effects of drugs and how they can trap someone in a state of euphoria, making it hard to escape.
The chorus with the lines "This is a happy house, we're happy here, in a happy house" further reinforces the theme of seeking pleasure and joy in this hedonistic environment. The repetition of "fun" emphasizes the constant pursuit of enjoyment and excitement.
The verse "Nights pass so much quicker than the days did / Same clothes, you ain't ready for your day shift" hints at the nocturnal and decadent lifestyle of the singer and his companions. They seem to be living in a perpetual nighttime, detached from the responsibilities of the outside world.
The lines "She give me sex in a handbag / I get her wetter than a wet nap" are provocative and suggest a casual attitude towards intimacy and physical pleasure. It reinforces the theme of indulgence and pleasure-seeking in this environment.
The Weeknd's lyrics often contain references to drugs and the party culture, and "House of Balloons" is no exception. The lines "Roll a dub, burn a dub, cough a dub, taste it / Then watch us chase it" explicitly refer to drug use, particularly marijuana.
Throughout the song, there's a sense of recklessness and abandon in the pursuit of pleasure, with lines like "And when we act a fool, it's probably 'cause we mixed it" hinting at drug cocktails or combinations. The overall message seems to be about indulging in the moment without concern for consequences.
In conclusion, "House of Balloons" by The Weeknd portrays a world of hedonism, pleasure, and escapism. The song's lyrics delve into the allure of drugs and a carefree lifestyle. The repetitive and hypnotic nature of the track's melody mirrors the intoxicating effects of the lifestyle it depicts. It serves as a snapshot of a moment in time, where the pursuit of fun and pleasure takes precedence over everything else, and the consequences of such a lifestyle are seemingly disregarded.
“Nights pass so much quicker than the days did
Same clothes, you aren’t ready for your day shift”

Was ich richtig toll an M13 finde: Die visuals.

Okay okay okay I'm bored and I've been wanting to post this for some time so here we go.
Hear me out:
The song Pompeii in an edit for the Maze Runner.
I mean it makes sense!
"And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we loved."
When the Maze blew up at the end of Death Cure...
"Gray clouds all over the hills bringing darkness from above."
When the clouds came up and covered the sun...
"But if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?"
Self-explanitory...
"And if you close your eyes, does it almost feel like you've been here before?"
When Thomas got the vibe that he's been here before, again, self-explanitory.
Like,,, I need to see this edit,,, (but I have no skills) someone please do this!

the cap trioligy (tfa especially) set up dancing as a metaphor for sex & had steve saying shit about how he didnt think dancing with women was important, was waiting for the right partner, couldn’t lead, etc. meanwhile bucky “theres a dance to these things” barnes ... “we’re taking the girls dancing! “sarge are we going dancing” “yes we are” ... yeah that man fucked.

Today around 23:30 17.12.21 I finished the last book in Maja Lundes clima-trioligy book series, and I can’t believe how awesome it is. BUT sadly it has come to my attention that there barely is any fandom. So this is me officially starting a fan blog.
Mostly for myself, but also for you to join along

What was your favourite part of writing the trioligy?
Favorite part of the trilogy. Hm. Personally, I gotta say the shopping mall scene with Alexander and the Schuyler Sisters. I just love that scene so much. It reminds me of the Poker Face scene in Percy Jackson.

This is an essay on why Avengers Endgame ending makes no sense
Ok so how does it end, you're asking? It ends with Steve Rogers going back in time to return the stones, but in the process he decides to go back even further and stay with Peggy, and when he comes back to the original timeline he's already old 'cause he decided to spend his life with Peggy, and he then gives the shield to Sam. Now my problem isn't Sam having the shield, I adore Sam and I think he deserved the shield + I don't think Buckt ever wanted the shield anyways
This being said, what the fuck??
First of all, speaking all feelings aside, it doesn't make sense that Steve went back in the past, because Peggy had children and a husband, and I know that there's that stupid theory that 'Steve was that husband and you can see him in the funeral' that was just a shitty attempt to justify the shitty ending. During Captain America The Winter Soldier we can see Steve in the museum watching a video about his old comrades talking about him and Peggy appears and she said that Steve's actions 'saved the man who went on to become her husband'. Steve saved the man that became her husband, so Steve would not be her husband because he was not in need of saving, he put his ass on the line to save someone who would be saved by him. So right off the bat, from canon shit, the ending is already shabby.
Point number two: Steve is about respecting the rules, righteouness and doing what's best, right? Steve spend A LIFETIME with Bucky. He disrespected his superior, risked getting thrown out of being a soldier (which is all he ever wanted) and risked his own life to save Bucky. Sure, other men were dying, but he only got off his ass when he heard that Bucky might have been dead, he didn't even know if he was alive, yet he risked his life for him. In Winter Soldier he's about to die, getting his shit beaten by the winter soldier and he refused to hit him back/kill him because he didn't want to hurt bucky, even thought he would probably die in his hands. Steve went against the government and against direct orders to protect Bucky and to be by his side, which literally means that Steve will throw out everything he stands for, for Bucky. AND YOU'ER TELLING ME HE'S THROWING AWAY THIS LIFE LONG FRIENDSHIP FOR A GIRL HE KNEW FOR A COUPLE MONTHS?????? And on top of that, Steve knows what it feels like to wake up to a brand new world, with no friends and family, feeling alone and disoriented, why would he leave bucky in the same environment knowing how much he himself struggled? All the captain america trioligy has been is a demonstration of what a friendship should be, and they throw it all away in just five minutes of movie.
Another thing that doesn't make sense: in civil war sharon (Peggy's NIECE) is officially introduced as Steve's love interest. Why would they introduce Steve to a new love interest in a movie if a couple movies later they'd make him give up on that and go back to his original love interest????? To me this just seems like the Russo brothers' sad attempts at forcefully giving Steve Rogers a love interest when his story 100% does not need one. Thor had Jane, Tony has Pepper, Clint has a whole ass family, and Bruce had Natasha, and for some reason they think Steve needs a love interest for some reason, so they keep introducing these love stories into his character arc that make no sense.
The Russo brothers just literally turned steve into his anti-thesis with that ending and completely fucked up his character for no reason at all, I get it that they wanted to finsh his arc like they did to the rest of the avengers (for the most part), but it was a terrible ending that made no sense. Sebastian Stan (winter soldier/Bucky's actor) even said that, he posted a screenshot of a tweet criticizing this ending on his ig story
anyways this was a long rant but Im very passionate about this

For me stall was kinda boring. I read half of the first book but couldn't read it further. I guess it was toi much smut for me.
Apart from it, I have really good recommendations. (Wattpad)
Devil's due (petit_cerise) This book is something else, really.
Spotlight (Kiwiharryy) omg, this book made feel a lot of things(This and devil's due harry is my most favourite)
Calamity (onlytpwk) This Harry is so funny and the story overall is so intriguing. It will have you hook from the first chapter.
Last Place You Look (urawizardharrie) This book is so domestic and I freaking love this book so much.
Interlude (_miiki) This Harry is a president and effortlessly hot and mysterious. I love this book to death.
And obviously happydays1d books(Malignant trioligy, Duplicity)
im sorry stall didn't work for you baby!!
but OH MY FUCKING GOD IM OBSESSED WITH THE DEVIL'S DUE!!!! IT'S SO AMAZING, THE SMUT AND ANGST IS PERFECT!!!! and i also love the trope 😩😩😩😩😩
I tried to read spotlight but i couldn’t stand harry bro, he was so annoying and mean for no reason to her, i love enemies to lovers, but the way he hated her looked liked he was a 12 year old boy 😭 can you tell me if it gets better? Should i give it another chance???
OH I'VE READ THE CLASSICS!!! i really enjoyed malignant, i was very excited for the second book but (SPOILER!!!!!!) the pregnancy plot made me lose all my excitement for the story :(
AND OMG I WILL PUT ALL OF THOSE BOOKS ON MY READING LIST OK?? THANK YOU SO MUCH
