Maroon is a colour but as a verb it means:
to leave someone in a place from which they cannot escape
A LOVE SO STRONG IT'S STILL GOT HER TIGHT IN ITS GRIP. How can you not love her mind.
Some "right where you left me" type of feeling but a tiny bit less soul crushing. That love had such a strong impact it created the entirety of Red. She's still reminiscent of it and finds the same old feeling in her heart from time to time, cause it never truly left.

okey, so i thought that midnights was gonna be about anxiety and spiraling thoughts that keep you from sleeping (and maybe it still is), but then taylor comes and announces labyrinth… which it also goes with the theme of being lost in your thoughts, and not being able to escape.
i was exited because i expect mythological references from that song (not to be that girl, but theseus managed to escape from the labyrinth thanks to ariadne’s string… one single threat of gold tied me to you)
people have been pointing out that she recently mentioned pan’s labyrinth (2006 movie), which has always crept me out, and i started thinking that maybe midnights has a bit of a horror theme going on. i think it would be more of a classic horror thing, like frankenstein, dr jekyll and mr hyde, the picture of dorian gray type of horror.
also this lyric from daylight:

Taylor Swift song theory I can’t get out of my brain
Okay so quick disclaimer, Taylor’s songs can be whatever you want them to be about, and obviously, we won’t know the full story of any of her songs. This is all just my thoughts
Anyways
I have a theory about the relationship between bigger than the whole sky and would’ve could’ve should’ve. In bigger than the whole sky, Taylor is talking about saying goodbye to something, something (or someone) she wishes she had time with. In would’ve could’ve should’ve she talks about losing her girlhood and wishing she could have her past back. My theory is that in Bigger than the whole sky she is talking about the girl she would’ve been if the things in would’ve could’ve should’ve never happened.
Okay, my first reason is kinda obvious. There is a reference to would’ve could’ve should’ve in bttws. But if you even read this whole chorus and this about her losing her girlhood, IT MAKES SENSE. her time before would’ve could’ve should’ve (if its about speak now drama basically pre that album) is viewed as this like young innocent time. So that time when she was first growing as an artist and gaining popularity her life felt BIGGER THAN THE WHOLE SKY. Also would’ve could’ve should’ve is literally about her being older and thinking about that time. MEANING SHES GOT A LOT TO PINE ABOUT WHEN SHE LOST HER GIRLHOOD>
Okay next reason is this lyric in bttws.
This relates to the lyrics in would’ve could’ve should’ve
Meaning if she had stayed praying and being this good girl maybe none of this never would have happened and she wouldnt say goodbye to her past.
I’m sure there’s a lot more I could relate this too if I literally went lyric by lyric but I have like no motivation to do so. Anyway its just a thought, as I said before, we will never know the whole story, Taylor deserves her privacy

Watching the Anti-hero music video for like the thousandth time gave me an epiphany. During the funeral scene “You’ve gone too far!” Was spoken then chaos ensued. That itself sounds eerily similar “They say she’s gone too far this time.” And the fighting of the family members definitely seemed to be a parallel to all the Taylor’s fighting in the LWYMMD music video. Maybe I’m just clowning since I haven’t seen anyone else make this comparison. But is she hinting at Reputation TV??? @taylorswift @taylornation

So I was listening to Midnights (3 AM Edition) as I was falling asleep last night and I have this theory now that is probably completely wrong (but also what if it's actually right?). Anyway, my theory is that all of the songs on Midnight were intended for other albums. Before making Midnights, what if Taylor went back and listened to any demos or read the lyrics she wrote for these songs, polished them up, updated them, and changed some of the perspective to reflect her thoughts and where she's at in life now? There's no real evidence to support this, other than songs sonically sounding like they belong on other albums and/or they're a continuation of past songs. Here are my thoughts as to which album each song may have been intended for if they were in fact pulled from the drafts/vault. Or what albums I think they would belong on if they are all in fact completely new: (below the cut)
(Also disclaimer: These are just my thoughts and opinions and they're probably completely wrong if you disagree that's fine, I was just curious to know if anyone else was thinking anything similar lmao)
Lavender Haze - Lover, obviously. It reminds me of a combination of False God and I Think He Knows.
Maroon - Red, again this one's obvious. It's a shade of red. The reference to New York.
Anti-Hero - 1989. This is like Blank Space's non-sarcastic sibling. It conveys some of the same feelings. Also it sounds very 80s pop to me.
Snow On The Beach - For this one I'm actually torn between 1989 and Lover. Lyrically I think it could be on either but based on how it sounds I lean more towards Lover.
You're On Your Own, Kid - Red. It reminds me quite a bit of The Lucky One in some ways, and sonically it makes sense.
Midnight Rain - Reputation. 80s pop, but slightly darker synth and cool background vocals.
Question...? - Fearless. It just feels right idk how to explain it.
Vigilante Shit - Reputation, probably the most obvious on this list. No explanation needed.
Bejeweled - 1989. Fun and very poppy. Post break-up anthem. Feels very similar to Clean, but it's about the feeling that happens after Clean.
Labyrinth - This song makes me think of Fearless too. It has the same feeling to me as Breathe.
Karma - Lover. I don't feel like this one needs further explanation either.
Sweet Nothing - Lover. Again, does this one need to be explained?
Mastermind - Reputation. This gives me a very similar vibe to Gorgeous. Gorgeous is from a more shy and apprehensive perspective, but Mastermind is like "surprise, this was my plan the whole time."
The Great War - Folklore. It's a bit poppier than some of Folklore, but it just seems to fit.
Bigger Than the Whole Sky - Evermore. It actually reminds me a lot of the title song from the album.
Paris - Lover. Again, this one's obvious it's the pop love song of the year.
High Infidelity - Evermore. It fits in so well with other songs from the album.
Glitch - Lover. A very soft song, it just fits there.
Would've, Could've, Should've - Based on content of the lyrics, I want to say Speak Now. Do I think she ever would've released it on that album? No. It's much darker than anything she was releasing at the time but I do think maybe she had the lyrics saved in a draft or something if this theory is true.
Dear Reader - Midnights. I think this song is completely new and she did write it beginning to end for this album.

So, so so
Taylor has announced the titles of two out of 13 songs - 11 days from the 22nd, which is the....3rd? of October. Which is 18 days from the release date. what the hell is she planning for those three weeks???
Call me crazy, but we all know track 5 is infamously her most emotional or vulnerable song. The type of song you might write in the middle of the night, yk when you're vulnerable etc. So five days later leaves 13 days till the release date... what if, we get a single on the 8th???
I know I'm delirious. I'm aware but what if
