Elizabeth was excited to meet another "monster", as some used to call them. "I wonder what Maggie looks like, she did say she's different like us..."

Aurora wasn't so sure about meeting a new person. She has had bad experience with others and her trust isn't easy to earn. Only one she can truly trust is Liz and for a long time there has been just the two of them.. What If everything changes? What If Liz only hangs out with Maggie and forgots her. What if... What if Maggie is really pretty and she falls in love with her. All these thoughts are running through her brain and she just can't stop them.

"Earth to Aurora! Hellooo, anyone there?" Liz snaps her fingers at Aurora. "What happened? Where were you?" She laughs.

"Oh sorry...i guess i'm just a bit nervous." Aurora let's out a deep sigh.

"Don't worry! I bet she's awesome! I wonder If she's a vampire too, or a ghoul like you! I'm so excited, this is like going on a blind date!" Liz notices Aurora looking little anxious and takes her hand. "But hey, don't worry, you will forever be my number one."

They arrive at the Blue Garden cafe. Liz is scanning the surroundings, but she only sees humans. "Shit...now i'm nervous too..."

Smell of pumpkin spice lingers in the caffee. It's finally autumn. Despite of Liz being a vampire she really loves coffee. She basically lives only drinking caramel plasma lattes all day everyday. Ofcourse you can't get them from a normal cafe but Liz always makes sure she carries a bottle with her.

There's a person in all pink in the corner of the cafe. She sways on her stool and hardly stays still. "LIZ! AURORA! HERE! IT'S ME! MAGGIE!" She jumps up while shouting and waving.

Finally a new case assignment and it's all thanks to Vincent and Isaac! Let's hope it won't be anything like last time 😣

Transcript:

Darius: Team we've got a new case assignment.

Noah: What is it this time? If this is something useless again, then I'm gonna-

Darius: Nah don't worry, this one's up to our standards! Where is Renee?

Noah: She went to get some research papers.

[Renee comes back with confidential Strangerville material as she was given access by her seniors]

Renee: I'm back! I figured we should look into Strangerville since we don't have any cases.

Darius: Hmm? Strangerville?

Renee: [realises he doesn't know the place] You see, our friend from uni is from Strangerville. She went back to take care of business [sighs] but we've not heard from her since. She's disappeared from our lives.

Darius: [skims through a file] Nothing about it online…I wonder what's happening there. I'm sorry about your friend, but let's look at this in the future. We have a potential money laundering case to investigate.

Renee: [recalls Vincent talking about winning his case and its outcome on their walk] We should do that.

Penelope Nieves might look like your typical high maintenance girl from the outside, but best check yourself. She's one fearless, independent, ambitious, and not to mention... INSANE chick. If there's drama, Penelope is surely to be at the center of it. It's even speculated that Penelope is the reason for her ex-boyfriend's shocking expulsion from university shortly after he was seen flirting with Lilith Pleasant at a keg party. Although she did not go to college herself, Penelope's self-taught, superior computer programming skills make her extra lethal, as she's able to find any information about anyone...just because you hit the delete button, doesn't mean it's erased from existence everywhere. Best to stay on her good side, or who knows what dirt she might dig up on you!

Lucy could not get out of the house quicker - so the night of her 18th birthday she snuck out to meet Joseph and head for the train station.

She felt conflicted about leaving her family. Although she felt they had treated her badly, she knew that her leaving like this would crush them. Lucy worried that she might never get to see them again. Would they even want to now that she had defied them?

As soon as they entered the train station a feeling of relief washed over her. Lucy felt free. A feeling she had only felt when playing in the fields as a child, making flower crowns with her friends, and the first time her and Joseph had shared their first kiss. She realized she didn't care that she was leaving her family anymore. She would rather be happy.

Transcript:

As soon as Dawn climbs over the edge, Atlas runs to her, and they crash into each other with a fierce hug.

Atlas: I thought I’d lost you. Dawn: I’m here, I’m okay.

When Phoenix makes it up a moment later, Atlas rushes over to give him a hug as well.

Atlas: Thank you. Phoenix finds himself unable to speak, managing only a choked sob.

They all come together, and for a moment just stare at each other like they’re not quite sure what to do next. Then, Dawn breaks the silence and startles them all by screaming:

Dawn: Holy shit!

With that, they all slowly devolve into fits of laughter.

Kiyoshi: Alright alright, is everyone good?

They respond with various forms of yeses and nods as they wipe their eyes and catch their breath.

Kiyoshi: Let’s get moving then. We still have a ways to go.

And so, they continue on, making their way to the summit through the deep snow.

Hours later, the sun begins to set. Even through all their layers, the cold seeps into their bones, their extremities already numb. All four of them are exhausted, muscles and lungs burning. They hike in silence, each one focusing only on putting one foot in front of the other.

Just as Phoenix is wondering whether he’s going to make it, he feels Dawn pull on this arm.

His breath catches for a second thinking something might be wrong, but when he looks up she’s smiling. Her smile is so big and bright that his heart skips a beat and he can’t help but stare in awe.

Dawn: Phoenix, look! We made it!
