Decided to get the complete series set this weekend. I’ve owned the previously released 4-volume DVDS for years (the first 3 volumes in particular I’ve had since around 2006-2007), so as you would expect some of those discs no longer work.

"Quite the prank," you say, struggling to keep a knowing smirk to yourself. "Can’t you just zap the guys and mark them Fated by your Almighty Will? Put the process on autopilot?” 

Loki blushes, almost preens. Oho, the mention of his power. But when he speaks, he stammers.

“Yes, well, where’s the sport in that?” 

“Mm,” you say, smiling at the feel of it in your mouth. "You have already gone to the trouble. It wouldn't take long. And if it did--"

He smiles at you, almost shyly, as you both murmur, "--who gives a shit."

"Let's do it."

Aahhh had a thought: in the baby Bruce au does Bruce still like that detective show he does in the comics (I forget the name!)? I just have the image of this little kid obsessing over this old niche show stuck in my head and it’s!! Very cute!!!

I hope it’s understood that my “Miss Scarlet and the Duke” blogging is entirely meant for an audience of 1. that 1 being me. like if other people see those posts and actually read them and interact with them that’s a-ok too, but I am literally just journaling my thoughts on this show directly to tumblr bc it is the easiest and most fun place to do so. I look like I’m having Important Thoughts but really I’m just doing my typical external processor thing here instead of in the presence of my family members, who usually have to put up with it shdkdhdjfj

#I have so many thoughts about this show it’s so ODD I’ve never seen anything quite like it #I’m enjoying it and it’s driving me up a wall at the same time #I cannot stop watching it mostly out of sheer curiosity #but also bc the characters and setting are vibrant and genuinely fun #and I do in general enjoy both the Victorian era and mysteries #so it ticks all the right boxes for me while ALSO being just indecipherable enough to drive me CRAZY #I cannot understand what the writers are doing!! I cannot understand what the character arcs are meant to look like #and how to predict their endings!!! #also childhood friends-to rivals/antagonistic allies-to lovers is a great trope I’m not sure I’ve ever seen that specific combo before #and I’m intrigued and captivated by whatever the heck this is going on right now #even as I wanna yell because they are SO annoying #shdkfndjldfnkeksfjkdkfjf #gurt says stuff #tv shows

-->But oh shit – all that took long enough that it was 11:30 PM! AKA prime “Countdown to Midnight”-watching time! I couldn’t have the gang (in particular Smiler) miss it AGAIN after what happened at the dance party last time! So I quickly slapped a TV into the sitting room upstairs in the house, then had Victor and Smiler teleport there and Alice use her super speed to run up to meet (unfortunately, she can’t tunnel into actual buildings – and DEFINITELY not onto the second floor!). Fortunately, they all arrived in good time, and everyone got to witness the countdown to midnight and properly celebrate this time around. :) Alice gave Victor a kiss on the cheek, and Smiler gave them a hug, aww. :) Seriously glad they made it – I would have been sad if they’d missed out on that tradition AGAIN.

-->And with that, it was time to head home! Alice made some Italian meatballs as both she and Victor were feeling hungry; Victor checked on the greenhouse and took the cone off Kelly; and Smiler entertained the kittens before heading to the barn to make some computer chips and mechanisms. Victor and Alice then went to bed as the holiday ended on a successful note for all of them. And Kelly adorably batted at the knitting box in the seance room. XD Might as well end on a cute note, right? Next time -- well, I happen to have played the next session on Black Friday, so it only felt right to do the gang running their grocery store. XD We'll see you then!
