WIP 2 Fire On Fire

Chapter Two: June 20, Friday, Akemi Bakugou, 30 minutes till school

“Come on, come on, come ON!” I wanted to get to school, today we were going to make pretty cards for Father’s Day.

“Alright alright, what do you want?” Katsuki was sleepy, but I wanted him to take me to school so I could show him the pretty paper I was gonna use.

“Take me to school,” I paused, “Please?”

-Katsuki Bakugou-

She was jumping on the chair, completely dressed with her backpack on and hair up.

She was too excited about school, “Why?”

“Because I have a surprise for Daddy and I want to show you.” She was hugging a bundle to her chest.

“Can’t you show Mom?”

“Yeah,” She jumped down, staring right up at me, “But I wanna show you.”

“Fine, tell Mom,” She ran off and came back, I gave her a sceptical look, “Let’s go.”

-At lunch-

I glanced in Kioko’s direction, she was alone, as she had been all year. Most people were too freaked out by her coming in the middle of the school year to the most prestigious school in Japan. A couple of girls were coming over though, they put their trays down and struck up a conversation, which made Kiko uncomfortable. She looked like she would rather be anywhere else than at that table, so on impulse, I happened to walk by.

“So…are you All Might’s secret love child?” The girl asked, she was inching closer to Kio, when she said no, “Oh, that’s right, you just happened to be the only student in UA history to ever be allowed to join in the middle of the year, so tell me why.”

“Oh, leave the poor girl alone, Inari.” The other girl said, sneering at Kioko.

“That’s right, she was so poor the school took pity on her,” Inari said.

By this time I had reached them, “UA would never lower the school’s reputation for one poor girl, and you shouldn’t either.”

“Ooh, Inari, he’s staring at you~” The girl whispered.

“Shut it, Usagi,” She elbowed Usagi, “So sorry Bakugou,” She took a step towards me, raising her hand only to let it rest on my arm, “I never meant to insult you.” She purred.

I slapped her hand away, “You didn’t insult me,” I paused, watching the girls’ faces light up, “You disgust me.”

They turned beet-red and looked down, they tried stammering an apology but I just sat down next to Kioko and kept eating, they insulted the school they wanted to attend, and the girl insulted me when she thought that it was okay to touch me outside of combat.

-Kioko Midoriya-

“You do remember that I’m related to Izu, right?” After the other kids left he became very focused on his meal.

He said nothing, just kept eating, not even a grunt of acknowledgement. I scoffed, I didn’t need to sit here with an egotistical know-it-all. I got up to put my things away and go to my next class.

“Sit down.” He put his bowl of ramen down.

“Why?” I glared bullets at him, he just made the whole situation so much worse.

“If you leave now those kids will tear you apart like-”

“Like you did?” I slammed my tray down, how dare he? “In fifth grade?”

“No.” He was solemn for a minute, “They’re much weaker, in strength and grit.”

“Whatever, you’re the same as you were then, glad to see you haven’t changed.” I turned away, leaving my tray.

“I told you to stay.” He had grabbed my hand, his grip was crushing.

“That hurts.” I didn’t struggle, I learned my lesson the first time, but….he let go and let me walk away.

-In the hall-

I was shoved into the wall, I hit my face on a locker lock.

“Lay down, little puppy.” With another shove, towards the floor, I could feel the heel of someone’s shoe on the middle of my back, and Inari’s high-pitched voice.

“I’m not a-” I tried to push myself up.

“I said DOWN, you dumb mutt.” She kicked me, this time in the ribs, and I slammed my face back down.

“Don’t call me a-”

“Shut up, dirty little mongrel.” With a kick to the head, my vision was going blurry.

-Katsuki Bakugou-

“Why don’t you just unleash a little power on them, Kioko?” She was a better fighter in grammar school than these girls are now.

“Power?” Inari, the older-looking girl, scoffed, “Her only real power is lying and making everyone look bad.”

The other girl, Usagi, was recording the whole thing, “Yeah, she was just trying to get you to pity her back there, we’re teaching her how to behave right in Japan.”

“I don’t pity people, and I’m not gonna start now.”

“Oh please, she was practically slobbering all over you.” Inari dug her heel into Kioko’s head.

“Kioko, they aren’t me, this isn’t fifth grade again.” I came closer, she was bleeding from where her head hit the floor, “Get up, fight back.”

-Kioko Midoriya-

I could feel the blood, a metallic taste in my mouth, but he was right. I could beat them, with one blast. What if they get hurt? Another twist, she was reaching for my hair. I took my left hand and angled it so that my blast would hit just shy of her hair.

The bloodcurdling scream wasn’t mine, it was Inari’s, her hair was on fire, “I-I didn’t try to-” She was crying, and Usagi got a teacher, Aizawa.

Bakugou was standing there, he knew what I was better than most.

“Midoriya, principal’s office, NOW.” Aizawa’s voice was colder than ice.

“Sorry, sir.”

“Now.” He turned to take care of Inari’s hair and led the girls to the infirmary.

I left, combat training is easy, fighting strangers you’ll never see again, is easy. Now, I’m never gonna be treated the same, people might try to talk to me. Friends aren’t something I trained for, I trained so that I could overpower my enemies easily and quickly. I heard footsteps behind me, I lowered my breathing, calming down is supposed to make me seem friendlier.

“Technique needs work.” It was Bakugou, great.

“Go away.”

“Last time you walked away from me you were beaten,” He got in front of me, “And your head is bleeding pretty bad.” The look on his face was mainly smug at being right, but maybe a little bit of remorse. No, Bakugou can’t feel remorse.

“I’ve suffered worse.”

“Why didn’t you stand up?” He was still walking backwards with me.

“Standing up means effort, effort I don’t care enough to waste on stupid people like her.” I tried to sound serious, but it sounded more like a sick animal trying to growl.

“Showing them up sounds more like you.”

“No, it sounds like the person you raised me to be, and the person you are now.”

I walked into the principal’s office alone.

-At the Bakugou’s-

“Kemi, where are you?” Playing hide and seek with a six-year-old is fun unless you’re playing with Kemi who can refract the light so you can never find her.

“Here….” She was standing stone-cold, staring at the street, someone had left a dead cat there, once she saw the maggots, she was done for, she booked it to the bathroom and started throwing up so bad I had to call Mrs Bakugou.

“What’s wrong? is Kemi all right?” Her concern, filled my ears, it felt like a death sentence. Never once have I had to call them.

“We just saw a dead cat with maggots crawling out about ten minutes ago, she’s been throwing up everything in her stomach, I-”

“Just hold on, give her some bread to try and help with that, Katsuki should be home soon.”

“Okay, thank you.” I hung up, Kemi looked so sick, but I tried to get her to eat some bread, she threw it up.

-Izuku Midoriya, at the Bakugou’s-

“Kemi stopped throwing up.” Kacchan said, “She’s sleeping now.”

Kioko called me over…for her job, and told me to bring Kacchan, and that it was urgent. I saw that she was trying to lay her head back, but it hurt every time so she just stopped trying and dealt with it.

“Thank you.” She was earnest for once.

“I don’t understand why you needed me.”

“I don’t have Bakugou’s number, and she wouldn’t stop throwing up and gagging and-” Tears pricked her eyes, “I didn’t know what to do, she needed someone other than me. I-I failed.” She bit her lip, a sign of intense resentment.

“Failure, in this case, belongs to the person who caused such an adverse reaction. You couldn’t be someone else and she needed to have family tell her it’s okay.” Bakugou looked too attuned to Kioko like he was searching for something.

“She was fine, and then she looked outside…..she couldn’t stop crying….it was MY fault for leaving the door open….” Kioko was about to pass out, she just handled the most trying part of her job.

-Katsuki Bakugou, 6:13 P.M.-

Kioko had fallen asleep, and Deku had left after telling his mom where Kiko was. My parents weren’t surprised to see Kioko passed out on the couch when they came home, they knew enough about what happened that day to not worry about anything happening between us.

“Did you call her parents?” Dad asked, he didn’t care if Kioko stayed the night with Kemi.

“Or try to wake her up?” Mom didn’t want her to stay in the living room.

“Yes, and yes, her dad said it’s fine, and she tried to bite my hand off when I tried.” I meant it as a joke, but she did kick me when I tried to wake her up fifteen minutes ago.

“Uh-huh, fine, let’s make dinner.”

-After dinner, in the living room with Kemi watching a movie-

“When is Kio gonna wake up?” Kemi was sitting up, trying to peek at Kioko’s sleeping face.

“Whenever she wakes up, but for now,” I picked her up and put her down on the couch next to me, “You should watch the movie and try to fall asleep.”

“Kemi!” Kioko shot upright, standing in the middle of the room, she staggered.

-Kioko Midoriya-

“The inertia is gonna hit-” I glanced around the room, Bakugou looked slightly uneasy, and Akemi was excited.

None of that mattered when I finally felt the spinning in my head, like water rushing around, blurring my moment of lucidity before making me crash back into the carpeted floor.

Almost immediately Akemi was at my side, “Are you okay?”

“Yes, I’m fine, just a little dizzy.” I stood up, carefully this time.

“Considering what happened today-” Bakugou smirked, he was right, again.

“Nothing happened today,” I glared at him, I didn’t want Akemi or their parents to know I got into a fight.

“I threw up, a lot.” She giggled but, she still looked pale.

“That wasn’t fun, huh?”

“No, but Mommy said since I’m sick and there’s no school, Katsuki can watch a movie with me,” She gasped, a huge smile spread across her face, “Will you stay over tonight? And watch the movie with us?” She was hugging me, little shivers passing through her.

“I-”

“Deku asked if you could stay here, and your folks said it was fine, my parents don’t care.” He wasn’t looking at me, we both knew why no one cared and why it was the only thing they cared about.

“Oh….then sure, why not?”

I waited for him to tell me why I shouldn’t stay here, but he just kept watching the movie, the sarcasm from my question seeping away into the universe.

He took a deep breath, his eyes flitting to meet mine for a second, “I’m not the one you should ask for the reasons you shouldn’t stay here.”

“I was being sarcastic, genius.” He flicked a strand of hair out of Kemi’s eyes, her little snort of irritation muted by her sleepiness.

As if on cue, the song ‘Genius’ came on, signalling my American best friend calling, “Sorry, have to take this.” I walked outside, the cool night air rushing me.

When I answered, Zez Niat’s normally melodious voice was soaked in almost absolute terror, her face mottled without her lovely smile, “Are you okay? You haven’t called me all day!” It wasn’t a whine, more like a severe fear of me being not depressed again.

“Yeah, I’m fine, somehow I got roped into sleeping at Akemi’s house tonight-”

“You mean the little girl with the super model-hot brother who’s absolutely never gonna win back your trust?” The slew of words drowned out almost everything except for the unmistakable sound of a sharp intake of breath.

-Katsuki Bakugou-

“You’re on speaker, love.” Kioko’s voice gently reprimanded her friend for saying that so loudly.

As their conversation grew, I tried to tune out and focus on Kemi. She thought I was ‘hot’? I hadn’t thought about winning her trust back, or even trying to mend things between us, it had been so long since we’d talked. Talked the way Kiko and her friend were talking in the doorway. I remember Kioko’s mom glaring bullets into me when I used to bring Kioko home, I never would’ve noticed it if she hadn’t asked me why it happened. I told her that her mom was just upset by me not being Deku’s friend but befriending her, it was a lie though. She probably thought that one day, her perfect little angel would come home with a couple of bruises with me nowhere to be found. Too bad I played right into her hands, I was genuinely surprised that she let Kioko stay the night, but then again…she probably gave Kiko a very long, very extensive lecture on how she is to treat me.

“He’s been……kinder.” Kioko sounded like she was defending someone, judging by her uncomfortable standing in the doorway, I’d guess it was her brother.

“Ooh, kinder how?”

-Kioko Midoriya-

“Hold on a second,” I put my hand to cover the mic on my phone and turned to Bakugou, “Hey, I’m gonna change real quick, don’t…..think I vanished or anything, kay?” I didn’t wait for a response, choosing to just go to Kemi’s room where I already had a change of clothes.

-Katsuki Bakugou-

I almost got up to ask her if she needed to borrow some clothes from my mom when Kemi finally fell asleep, her head resting on my lap. When Kio came out of Kemi’s room she was still talking to her friend.

“So what if he hasn’t brought up the past? He’s still a douche, right?” Are they still talking about Deku?

“Jeez, you sound like Izu.” Kioko rolled her eyes.

“No, your brother sounds like me, but for real, what has he done to help you without an ulterior motive?”

“He-” Kiko looked at me, her eyes searching for something, “He reminded me of who I used to be?”

“A little girl with nearly uncontrollable powers? Yeah, sounds like a great friend to me.”

“No-”

“A little girl who had too much fire way too young?”

“No, look, he’s just probably not used to seeing a reminder of the past….” Kioko turned and walked back outside, her conversation fading away.

-After Kemi was put to bed and the movie ended-

“Well, I’ll talk to you tomorrow, kay?” Kioko’s friend was saying goodbye.

“Wait, why’re you up at five in the morning?”

“I got up early, love you, bye.”

-Kioko Midoriya-

When Zez hung up, I went to grab my favourite blanket of the Bakugou’s. It used to be very colourful, with the most eye-catching hues of red, orange, and yellow, blended so perfectly that even after years of use, it still looked beautiful. I know that the sixteen-hour time difference is hard, but she shouldn’t be up so late because of me. When I walked back to the living room, with the blanket wrapped around my shoulders, Bakugou tensed, as the blanket reminded him of something.

“Akemi in bed?” I didn’t know what to say.

“Yeah, she fell asleep pretty early tonight.” He looked so out of place, an aggressive, arrogant, impulsive, narrow-minded, selfish person, in a place that screams humility, using your head, welcome to new ideas and people, and caring about others, how did Mr and Mrs Bakugou end up with him?

“Great,” I whispered, but I guess that he heard me, judging by his sudden focus on the movie.

-Zezaria Niat-

I woke up because I’m trying to apply for an abroad program in Japan. I need to make sure everything is ready for next year. For when I get to go to Japan and see Kioko’s family. I don’t have a crush on Kioko like everyone says I do, I just….care about her, she’s a year younger than me, and she reminds me of the younger sister I never got to have.

“Zaria? What’re you doing up?” My mom asked.

“Oh, hi Mom, just double making sure everything is set for my year abroad.”

“Honey, the school’s out, if you want to go to Japan we can go now and set you up with your host family, has the school told you who they are yet?”

“No, I’m finding out next week, and then I think that I’m gonna be placed there the week after that. I think.” I needed to clarify, Mom doesn’t always remember the right things.

“Oh, have fun.” She kissed my forehead lightly and went back to bed.

Okay I'm very sorry but I am going to make my brainrot EVERYONES problem beware of me please

Med student Ami man,

She wears glasses.

She goes international to study, and this is post-Galaxia, so it's pretty chill n any stray monsters are weak, meaning the others won't die without her

Ami calls Mako almost daily (let me have my MakoAmi platonic or romantic) just to talk about whatever and it helps Ami remember her material for tests and Mako just likes hearing her voice/info-dump

Multiple times Ami just thinks, "What if I just dropped out. What if."

Ami is a genius but the medical field is so much and she cries after getting her very first 89%(she got the RUQ and LUQ mixed up on a question about the liver's location and it has cuased her soul to leave her body)

She has so much stress and has never had such a challenge

Ami misses Mako's cooking

Because there's So Much Work Ami only gets a good meal every month or so and her diet mainly consisted of instant-ramen for a time

Mako does not approve.

"Ami, you've mentioned you're usually really busy... when do you cook/eat?"

"Oh, I just eat instant Ramen. If I have free time, I'll eat out somewhere occasionally."

UNACCEPTABLE.

So Ami only eats ramen when there's very little time for anything else and sandwiches have made a comeback.

Mako guided Ami through a cooking lesson once which... went okay...(lies)

Ami talks with all her fellow guardians as well

Usagi mainly gushes about how she misses ami and then oh you better be back for my wedding it's gonna be so amazing oh and did you hear already-

(Ami has heard already. Minako probably told her)

Actually most conversations are gossip

Ami and Minako, like said, mainly consists of gossip, but also Minako mentions of visiting Ami on a vacation maybe, if she can get affordable tickets for everyone

Mina is a rising pop star and showed Ami a song she was writing dedicated to Ami that was immediately scrapped after it was responded to with silence and Ami hung up

(Ami didn't want the spotlight)

Ami n Rei just vibe, maybe vent a little. They grow a bit distant since coexisting is more of their thing

Ami and the outers is more occasional, general chit chat with all of them, more focused topics include:

Smart people stuff with Setsuna and Hotaru

Cars (not the movie automobiles in general but actually it would be funny if they did converse about Cars at one point), engines, ya get it, with Haruka

Swimming with Michiru, but maybe Ami mentions wanting to get more into art and they have a discussion about that sometimes?

Ami loves cats- hence she has tamed tons of stray cats, some of which have followed her to her... condo? Dorm? Idk place if residence and stopped letting them in after (lovingly named) Tuna literally ripped her homework to shreds.

Thankfully, Ami remembered all the answers but she stayed mad at Tuna for 3 days before she caved and forgave the kitty

I'm obsessed with this show.

NEW Niigata Station Grand Opening!

Today, April 25th, was the official Niigata station grand opening! With only a small section of the station left to finish, almost all of the shops in Niigata station are now open to the public just in time for Golden Week. So, let’s take a look at what’s new and what’s left to come.

Bar-Ramen Yokocho (Alley) (2F East Side)

The east side 2nd floor mostly opened in March, but at the time they were still working on the Bar-Ramen Yokocho dining area. Now, the dining area is ready to show off Niigata Izakaya and ramen culture during both the day and night. One side of the U-shaped dining area features bars and izakaya, including a Thai restaurant and a Korean restaurant, while the other side highlights Niigata ramen like Ittoya Ramen. There’s even a kushikatsu place on the bar side that not only uses Niigata rice flour panko, but also fries Niigata specialty foods like tarekatsu (pork cutlet with sauce) and even sasadango (mochi and red bean paste).

Nishi Deli Street (West Deli Street) (2F West Side)

If you haven’t gotten your fill of Niigata foods at Yokocho Bar and Ramen, then you can head to the west side of the 2nd floor for even more food. Nishi Deli Street, or West Deli Street, is an eating and drinking zone where people can experience “Niigata-ness,” according to the Cocolo website. This area also features stores with Niigata foods including Tonkatsu Taro, also in Furumachi, and an onigiri shop which will open at 7am when some of the first trains start running. There’s also an udon restaurant and taiyaki stand, too.

Cocolo Mart (1F East Side)

From vegetables to meat to fish and more, the 1st floor east side now has a variety of grocery stores, including some familiar ones. Along with the 2nd floor stores, this will add even more grocery options to a place where they have been lacking for the last three years. One new store, Niigata Kaisenka (Seafood Store), is actually a familiar store by a different name. Kenko Shijou (Healthy Market) has been near the station for many years, and it will now sell its fish and other products at the station under this new name. Another somewhat familiar store is Meidi-ya, which had a shop in Furumachi 19 years ago and has now returned to Niigata in the station. It’s famous for its wide foreign food selection and its “My Jam” collection.

But groceries aren’t all this section has. There are also restaurants ranging from cafes like Sanmaruku Cafe and Mister Donut to a Korean food stand and even a Niigata sushi restaurant.

Cocolo 1F West Side- Fashion and Cosmetics

The biggest section that opened is Cocolo 1F West Side. While it doesn’t have a fancy name like some other sections, it does makeup almost half of the newly opened space. This section is geared toward fashion and cosmetics with stores like Maker’s Shirt, Usagi Online Store, and Fruits Gathering. However, there is also a furniture store, Unico, and three places for sweet treats: Lindt store (formerly near Bandai City), Godiva Dessert (first Godiva crepe store in Japan), and Gong Cha (first of this popular bubble tea chain in Niigata). There’s even a Doutor that sells not only coffee but also alcohol!

This section also includes the Gatarium, an open space for holding events (and where many opening events will be happening). While a few stores in this area along with the station’s new Lawson and Ekinan Kitchen (South Station Kitchen) are set to open in May, there’s still plenty to explore now.

The Niigata station grand opening comes after years of construction. There are many new places to check out and even a few more to come as they keep working on Ekinan Kitchen and more. For this weekend, though, they have planned some opening events, starting with the grand opening ceremony this morning. There will be a talk with Reina Triendl on Saturday (4/27) from 1:30-2:00 and Negicco on Monday (4/29) around the same time with a small live show afterward. Additionally, on Sunday, the station will feature several craft workshops from 11:00-3:00. Make sure you don’t miss out on these events and take the chance to explore the brand-new station.

Ever since Arisu and Usagi had arrived at the Beach, the cogs in Chishiya’s head had been turning. His plan to steal the cards and hightail it away from the resort was missing one more thing.. a distraction for the militants. And given his how naive the two newcomers seemed to be, Chishiya figured they’d make the perfect candidates.

But first he needed to earn their trust. He’d already spoken to Arisu— and truthfully, Chishiya wagered he already had him wrapped around his finger.

Usagi, however? He still needed to butter her up. And he had the perfect way of doing so. After making his way over to the woman with some freshly made ramen, the blond offered it to her with a silicone smile. “Here, you must be starving. You need your strength for the next game.”

It started out with wanting to create a mascot and now it has morphed into a group of cuties I’m calling Studio Darlings! The first of course is Sunny, a Prickly Pear Cactus Cat! She likes naps in the sun, playing in the rain, chocolate chip cookies, listening to music. and growing flowers. She hates the cold, scorpions, and getting her flower petals wrinkled. Next is my second little Darling, Bonnie the Boba Turtle! She loves swimming, sunbathing, and trying new milk teas and boba flavors. She’ll occasionally combine flavors to create something new. She hates storms, sharks, and being rushed around as she prefers to take things slow and think things through. The next cutie is a pup named Rika the Ramen Poodle! Her favorite ramen is any of them, and she also loves trying on new bowls as hats, sleeping on your pillow, painting with paw prints, and fetching chopsticks. She hates baths, unless their steaming hot, getting her fur brushed, and heights. Last is my latest and one of my faves honestly, Usagi the Matcha Bunny! She loves grooming her fur, sipping tea while having long conversations with good friends, reading, and eating mochi. She hates getting dirty, the rain and rudeness as she’s all about being kind, polite and dignified. What do you think? Who is your favorite? Ramen from a ramen shop I've wanted to try for ages！🍜

It was super duper delicious ✨

“So… How’d it go?” Usagi closed the magazine she’d been reading as Mamoru walked through the door to their apartment. Her eyebrows scrunched in concern when she noticed his hunched shoulders and bowed head. “Mamo-chan?”

Mamoru exchanged his dress shoes for his house slippers and shuffled across the living room, past Usagi, into the bedroom.

Usagi placed her magazine on the couch and rose to follow him, jumping slightly as the bedroom door closed behind him, the sound echoing in her ears.

Mamoru was shutting her out. Again.

She inhaled deeply and pushed her feelings down. Her man needed her. Obviously it had not gone well. She’d had numerous terrible interviews; it was par for the course by now.

But Mamoru had never even gotten an A minus.

She knocked on the door to the bedroom. “Mamo-chan? Are you okay?” Pressing her ear to the door, she barely heard his muffled response but she could only assume it meant ‘go away’. She huffed and slid down against the door until she was sitting with her back against it.

After about twenty minutes, her butt was sore and her patience was thin. “You don’t want to talk?” She snapped at the door. “Fine.” It was time to bring in reinforcements.

Usagi marched over to her phone sitting on the coffee table. Scrolling through her contacts, she found the number she’d been looking for: Mamoru’s favorite pho restaurant.

While Usagi preferred ramen, Mamoru was a huge advocate for pho being the ultimate comfort food. She placed an order for two bowls of his favorite pho (shrimp and rare steak) with extra noodles (of course) as well as some shrimp spring rolls.

Another fifteen minutes passed before she heard the knocking at the door. Opening it with a sunny smile, she tipped the delivery kid and brought the bags into the kitchen to unpack. Very carefully, she set a bowl of soup and a spring roll on a tray and slowly walked through the living room to the bedroom.

“Mamoru, if you don’t open the door I’m likely to spill this scalding hot pho all over myself and the carpet.” She waited a beat before exaggerating a ‘whoa’ for effect. Moments later, the door swung open to reveal a messy-haired Mamoru; his tie slackened and his top buttons undone.

Shit. His collarbone. One of her many weaknesses when it came to Mamoru’s physique. Shaking her head, she thrust the tray at him and watched as his face softened as he inhaled the aroma of broth and spices.

“Come eat with me?” Usagi raised her eyebrows at him with a hopeful look in her eyes. “You know I hate eating alone. Plus, then I would have to walk with this tray back to the kitchen and it’s a damn miracle I made it over here in the first place without spilling any.”

Mamoru flashed her a sad smile as he accepted the proffered tray and followed her back towards the kitchen.

They sat in silence, the only sounds being the clattering of spoons and chopsticks and the slurping of noodles from Usagi.

“The committee exonerated me of any wrongdoing.” Mamoru scooped broth and spilled it back into the bowl as he rested his head on his hand.

“Oh no, that’s terrible.” Usagi deadpanned before softening her tone. “Mamo-chan, you did everything you could. You need to stop punishing yourself.”

“Did I?” He raised his eyes to hers. They were filled with sorrow and anguish. “Usako, I have the power to heal just by touching someone. There was no reason that kid had to die.”

“Mamo-chan…”

“He was six years old.” He cut her off. “Telling his parents that I killed their son was the worst moment of my life.”

“Mamo-chan!” She clattered her spoon into the bowl causing broth to splatter on the tabletop. Mamoru snapped his head towards her. She had his attention and she paused to ponder her next move. Slowly, she stood and walked around the table and slid along him to sit sideways on his lap. Her arms moved to drape themselves around his neck and she felt his wrap around her waist. She crossed her hands behind his head and cradled him to her chest while lightly scratching his scalp. He exhaled in contentment and she suppressed a chuckle.

Her fiance was more of a cat than Luna was…

“Mamo-chan, you have the misfortune of having two lines of work where casualties happen.”

“I know, but–”

“No, Mamo-chan, you listen now.” She tilted his face towards hers so she could look him in the eye. “You may be the reincarnation of an ancient prince but you were reborn human. Humans are flawed. I mean, look at me! We all make mistakes. It’s your first year of surgical residency. This was the first patient you lost. You’re allowed to grieve. But I will not allow you to beat yourself up over something that any resident could have done.”

She watched his face flutter through a whirlwind of emotions as she shifted herself to straddle his lap.

“You have to keep the playing field level, Mamo-chan. If you start healing patients using your powers, suspicions will be raised, and more scrutiny will be brought upon you. You will be an amazing surgeon; just not a magical surgeon.” She felt his arms tighten around her, pressing her chest to his. “Are you done with your soup?”

He nodded wordlessly and she took that as her cue to lower her lips to his. She reveled in his hands tracing her spine through her t-shirt as she ground her hips on his lap before dismounting and leading him by the hand to their bedroom. “I think you need a refresher on anatomy…”

Did you know Herobrine and Steve loves summer and trendy outfits, because they wish they could meet their brother again to celebrate summer party, for example: Beaches, Disco, Dancefloor, ect. ^_^

Ouh. Well, as for Usagi-Ijah, she likes to spend her time with her friends at Japan, when the summer started, they are planning to go somewhere for holiday, vacation I must say. And their favourite snack or food they would like to eat is kakigori, Japanese shaved ice dessert! With syrup flavour and a sweetener, often condensed milk. She also went to the summer party like, beaches, dancefloor, karaoke to sing, etc! Ouh! And you see Usagi's favourite food is sushi, taiyaki, zaru soba, unagi and yakitori! While Yumaki's (Usagi's 1st friend) favourite food is somen, taiyaki, unagi, sushi, anmitsu and yakisoba. For Mayuki's (Usagi's 2nd friend) is ramen, shabu-shabu, yokan, hiyayakko, and hiyashi chuka. And their most favourite food is mochi, sushi and sashimi! ^^

Taiyaki: A Japanese fish-shaped cake, commonly sold as street food. It imitates the shape of tai, which it is named after. The most common filling is red bean paste that is made from sweetened azuki beans. Other common fillings may be custard, chocolate, cheese, or sweet potato.

Zaru soba: A Japanese dish of chilled soba noodles. The dish is typically served with freshly grated wasabi, thinly sliced scallions, tsuyu (mentsuyu), and a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, dashi (made with both kelp and katsuobushi, or dried bonito flakes), mirin(For Muslim, they usually use vinegar, cuz Mirin is made by alcoholic), and sake(Even sake is also alcoholic, so, Muslim use the vinegar only).

Unagi: The Japanese word for freshwater eel, is an elongated fatty fish, rich and bold in flavor.

Yakitori: Bite-size marinated pieces of beef, seafood, or chicken on skewers

Somen(Aka white noodle): Thin, white, noodles usually served cold and accompanied by dipping sauce.

Anmitsu: A Japanese dessert that dates to the Meiji era. It is made of small cubes of agar jelly, a white translucent jelly made from red algae. The agar is dissolved with water to make the jelly.

Yakisoba(Aka fried noodles): A Japanese noodle stir-fry dish. Usually soba means buckwheat, but soba in yakisoba means Chinese noodles (Chuuka soba) made from wheat flour, and are typically flavored with a condiment similar to Worcestershire sauce.

Ramen(Aka noodle): Quick-cooking egg noodles usually served in a broth with bits of meat and vegetables.

Shabu-shabu: A Japanese dish consisting of thinly sliced beef and vegetables cooked briefly in simmering broth at the table.

Yokan: A jellied dessert or confection made typically from a thick red-bean paste, sugar, and agar, formed into a solid block and eaten in slices.

Hiyayakko(Aka chilled tofu): A classic Japanese side dish. Say bye to "plain old tofu" with colorful toppings like scallions, ham and shiso, and enjoy with a versatile konbu soy sauce

Hiyashi chuka(Aka chilled Chinese): A Chinese noodle style Japanese dish consisting of chilled ramen noodles with various toppings served in the summer.

Mochi: A Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki.

After they done having a fun, they went back to the summer house to rest. And they make barbecue at night for dinner. They also made sandwich too! Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. But, Mayuki had a peanut allergic, so, she eats jelly sandwich only instead peanut butter.

For Neko-Sufi, even she lives her own in the big house at forest, she has friends, Maria, Elisa and Rolanda, she meets at café she usually go. So, she can go to the vacation with them on summer. Like went to the beaches, dancefloor and karaoke to sing. And their favourite snack is s'mores, ice cream, slushy and etc.

S'mores: A sweet snack consisting of a chocolate bar and toasted marshmallows sandwiched between graham crackers.

After they done, they went back to the hotel to rest
