Ngl Weepingbell's shiny reminds me of a nice green apple.
Uh, anyway, here are some autumn themed grass-type shinies. Sorry, it will happen again.

Old Sprites
Tumblr media
So for Victreebell's sprite I literally just took its old sprite and modified the colours a bit to match my current standards, I liked it that much.
Autumn themed shinies are a good idea, ok?

Tidbit about Pokemon names
Before Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, names for Pokemon (both species names and names of specific individuals of that species) had a limit of ten characters at most. This is why the names Victreebel and Feraligatr are spelled the way they are; more proper spelling would not fit. Starting with X and Y, both types of Pokemon names had the character limit raised to twelve. This allows for Crabominable to be a legitimate species name (also the longest species name by character count). Unlike some of the categories Pokemon are listed as in the PokeDex (examples being Lickitung being the “Licking Pokemon” and Lapras being the “Transport Pokemon”; these are often ignored nowadays even though all Pokemon have them) where some were changed due to having less harsh limits in Gen 3 compared to Gen 2 (like Mew being listed as the “NEW SPECIE” Pokemon before being updated to New Species), they never did the same for Pokemon names. I suppose they never did that for the sake of compatibility between generational transfer (specifically what to do about Pokemon like Victreebel and Feraligatr if they don’t have nicknames).

Bellsprout the Flower pokemon a grass and poison type
2ft 4inc
8.8lbs
Egg Group: Grass
Ability: Chlorophyll Hidden Ability: Gluttony
Highest Base Stat: Attack:75
Lowest Base Stat: Special Defense:35
Base Stat Total: 300
No matter what Bellsprout is doing, if it detects movement nearby, it will immediately react by reaching out with its thin vines. It plants its feet deep underground to rehydrate itself. While doing so, it's unable to run away if it's attacked.
Tumblr media
At level 21 it evolves into Weepinbell the Flycatcher pokemon a grass and poison type
3ft 3inc
14.1lbs
Ability: Chlorophyll Hidden Ability: Gluttony
Egg Group: Grass
Highest Base Stat: Attack: 90
Lowest Base Stat: Special Defense: 45
Base Stat Total: 390
Even though it is filled with acid, it does not melt because it also oozes a protective fluid. The leafy parts act as cutters for slashing foes. It spits a fluid that dissolves everything.

Use a leaf stone to get Victreebell the Flycatcher pokemon a grass and poison type
5ft 7inc
34.2lbs
Egg Group: Grass
Ability: Chlorophyll Hidden Ability: Gluttony
Highest Base Stat: Attack:105
Lowest Base Stat: Defense:65
Base Stat Total: 490
It lures prey into its mouth with a nectar-like aroma. The helpless prey is melted with a dissolving fluid. After dissolving many prey, this Pokemon's acid becomes sweeter. This makes it even easier to attract more prey.

Pokemon Crystal; Youngster Run
So, a youngster run is one where you can only use the Pokemon available before the first gym badge. There is a case to be made for Pokemon used by Youngsters in the region, but most of them do use whatever is in their distinct area which would be what's available before their first gym badge.
This run started with my ABSOLUTE IGNORANCE! Thinking there weren't any Water type options, I choose Totodile... and named him Dabi. (Don't ask why, the only answer I will give is that I was watching BNHA at the time). Little did I know that Wooper was an option, as was Poliwag. I kick myself (and plan to do another where I pick the other two starters for the same exact game to see how far I can get.)
After catching everything that was obviously in the area, I looked up the rest of what was there and spotted Phanpy and Teddiursa. Oooh boi did I pull some time travel shenanigans to catch both of these little babies. I've never used either and no matter what anyone else said, I knew they'd be instrumental to my team.
I eventually settled on Dabi the Totodile, Nagamasa the Teddiursa, Shindo the Phanpy, Nomu the Bellsprout, Sabina the Spinerak, and Monoma the Hoothoot. I've never been too fond of Bellsprout (because of how oversaturated it seemed to be in Kanto and Johto) so thought it would be a good idea to keep around to see if Nomu would prove me wrong. Spoiler: He did, I loved this little pitcher plant as much as I loved James' in the anime.
Between Monoma and Dabi, I was able to clear out Sprout Tower and Falkner's Gym easily enough. Nagamasa and Shindo were decent damage sponges at this time, but hardly useful for anything else. Sabina and Nomu were kept deftly out of harm's way because I love Spinerak (and winning without Pokemon fainting unnecessarily).
Challenging every Trainer I could see, I only picked up Picnicker Gina's number because she has a chance to give a Leaf Stone (which Nomu would need later on). But Dabi and Nomu evolved once apiece, between the Rock, Water, and Ground types crawling everywhere. Though I tried to keep the EXP distribution as even as possible.
Making it to Azalea Town, I didn't waste time on story beats just healing so I could strong-arm my way through the beginning sections as fast as possible. And as such, Bugsy was a bit of a pushover for Monoma, earning her an evolution really early on. (No, I didn't check gender before naming Hoothoot... but...). The only trouble I had was Silver (I don't remember what I named him because it was a save file on an older device that has long since been deleted. RIP).
However, things got so much more fun by the time I made it to Goldenrod City. I made a beeline for a few things, namely the Bike Shop, Mall, and Underground; my goals being getting as many TM's as I could. Where I learned that Dabi, now a Croconaw, could learn the elemental punches; though I settled on Ice Punch to help handle Dragon types late game. Also Nagamasa, still a Teddiursa, could learn all the elemental punches; he got Fire Punch.
The best reveal though was Sabina being able to learn Dig and Psychic. I was a happy bean with all that because Ariados has always been a favorite. Which is odd because I usually don't like spiders, the magic of Pokemon (because the spiders are the ones I love the most).
Nothing outside of the ordinary happened from the traditional story beats, just running around defeating all the trainers in sight. It wasn't until I made it to Olivine City that I realized everyone was fully evolved except Nomu. So I checked my items, waited for Gina to tell me she had a thing for me, and eventually was able to get on with my journey.
With a counter for most every type in the late game, I kept trucking through trainers and Gyms. None of them really gave me any trouble unless they had something to force switches mid battle. And the trouble from that was minimal. So the only real trouble was Clair being a brat after I beat her fair and square.
I did make a point to truck all the way to Red with this team, determined to have all 16 badges, all the legendary Pokemon, and the fame of defeating the real previous Champion.
It took me five tries, but I got there in the end... with a team of level 100 Pokemon. The first and possibly last time I've ever done that.

VICTREEBEL + MANAPHY
GRASS/WATER
It ensnares its prey with its vine and drowns them. Each colony has a different scent, uniquely developed to attract the animals that live nearby.
