Hengist

Former mercenary turned Sheriff of Oxford (1348), twin to the current Ventrue baron, sworn to his duties with a special interest in keys and locking mechanisms. At least, until recently. There's a new person in town that has him acting unwise •̀⁠ᴗ⁠-

Clothing ramblewise I think Hengist's fashion choices are fairly easy to read: knight wears knight things. He doesn't really have a sense of nice-looking clothes, so while his wardrobe is all to a very high quality, he isn't the one commissioning or deciding it.

For armour he flits between wearing only fabric gambeson-style and additional plate (with chain sections). Man has enough dots in potence that weight isn't really an issue, it's mostly about presenting the appropriate amount of severity.

Mid-14th century armour is absolutely not to my aesthetic tastes haha.

ah, yes. I do have an art blog. I do art. I do need to show my art to other people to bring a little joy to myself. I forgot, which is both a very normal and recurrent kind of event.

I did ~half of my montgomery "oh, no! the grief consumes everything and everyone, the consequences are yours to figure out!" campaign, and now I'm trying to find a job. the story can wait, I'm broke, unemployed since december, and probably gonna bring even more misery to the scenario once I get back to it.

in the meantime vita (вика привет!! <3) offered to play v20 dark ages short story. I have little to no knowledge about 13 century italy aside from half-forgotten beloved art history lectures. sadly, romanesque architecture and manuscript miniatures are not going to help me to roleplay a templar brujah knight, but what a way to make a living.

A careless flick of his wrist.

C: “Asking the wrong questions runs in the blood.” He tilts his head again, to the other side. “I wonder — do you dance as well as she?”

H: “Listen.” They say, hand opening and closing into a fist beside them. “I don’t understand exactly what is happening right now, but what do you want?”

C: “There you go,” He uncrosses his arms, spreads his hands supplicant up to the ceiling. “The wrong question. I am not the wanting party — you are.”
