Made the CricketFanta children, Cicada (the girl) and Pepsi (the boy). These two are a part of an AU called “Diamond City Dumbasses” (name not final but it’s funny asf lmao-)
Cicada is a girl who was trained day and night by her da, Young Cricket, to become a great martial artist. She’s smug, goofy, and loves to eat ramen when she’s resting.
Cicada’s brother on the other hand is a shy and timid boy who mostly spends his time drawing beautiful landmarks. When his dads and sister took notice of this, he started to become embarrassed and hide his artwork.

Cicada has come a long way.
Started as Young Cricket's partner for his Rhythm Heaven guest appearance, before we even knew that was him.
Then we got confirmation it was him, leading her to cameo in his Gold character trailer and GiT proper.
And now she's in Move It, with a name and dialogue, fully cemented as part of the WarioWare series now.

The second and final batch of Warioware characters, and also the final batch overall! 68 FUCKING CHARACTERS IN 18 DAYS. INCREDIBLE. Anyways, let's get to them! (Pyoro and the Fronks were not redesigned because they're already perfect creatures)
Young Cricket and Cicada, the martial artists! They're both still under Master Mantis' tutelage even now that they're in college, and Mantis is very unsure on which will succeed him. Design-wise I kept them more or less the same - only bulked them up a bit and inverted Cicada's color scheme from magenta/orange to orange/magenta.
Master Mantis himself also didn't get too many changes, only modifying his side buns because they confused me. He's paired with Leo here because I didn't want anyone to have a picture to themselves lol - he's still a bit of a jerk but he gets along better with Kat and Ana, enough to be part of their team now. Like the other 2 he's in elementary school now.
Gamer Mom 5-Volt! (real name Farah) For her I made her look just a bit more mom-like and removed the apron. I also changed her colors because she had the same pallete as her son. Then we have 13-Amp! (real name Amparo) she's now in her latter years of highschool but she still find time to hang out with 9-Volt and 18-Volt. Really the only change I made to her is that she's a baby butch now lol.
Witch Ashley and her assistant friend Red! Since Ashley's now older I just went and made her a casual goth kinda person lol. She also made an actual friend in Penny! Neither of them know how it happened but they hang out now (they sometimes invite 13-Amp along too). Red didn't change much other than being given a shirt and not being as chibi.
And finally, Penny and Lulu! Penny's making great strides in her goal of becoming an idol, and has at least self-published her first single. I based her new look on Magilumiere Co. Ltd.'s transformation look, which fitted Penny extremely well. As for Lulu, she pops by from time to time from Luxenville still to hang out with the rest and she's slowly but surely becoming Wario's successor/assistant despite the two of them denying it lol. That's also why I gave her Wario's original color scheme of yellow and magenta. I also gave her freckles!

Young Cricket: I feel like I've been issued a challenge.
Cicada: Please don't.
Young Cricket: It's too late now...you.
Cicada: You?
Young Cricket: I totally don't remember your name.
Cicada: We've trained together for years, Cricket!
Young Cricket: And what an impression you've made.
Cicada: My name is Cicada.
Young Cricket: What?
Cicada: I said my name is Cicada.
Young Cricket: Oh, I thought it was Dragonfly.
Cicada: What would make you think that?
Young Cricket: Mostly the fanbase. Are you sure?
Cicada: Of course I'm sure.
Young Cricket: Well, if you'll excuse me, I have some fanfiction to edit.

My drawing of Cicada the official name of the previously unnamed martial arts girl from the rhythm heaven series.
So cool she has a name now I hope she gets expanded again in the future.

Finished Move It; Spoilers below cut
Tumblr media
IT'S HER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL. THIS WAS WHAT I BANGED MY KNEE ON THE TABLE FOR.
Tumblr media
SHE EVEN HAS AN OFFICIAL NAME NOW.
Honestly, it suits her MUCH better than Young Dragonfly. It actually fits Cricket and Mantis's naming scheme while still sounding feminine. I look forward to potentially seeing more of Cicada, even if Cricket and Mantis don't remember who she is.
Tumblr media
Also, here's a better look at Papa Orb, who looks even more like a LocoRoco than Orby does.
Tumblr media
Speaking of which, Oinker actually gets character billing! Good for them!
Based on the ending, it's also still entirely possible (and knowing his track record, extremely likely) that Orbulon actually IS the Voice from Above and doesn't know it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's more screenshots, featuring the obligatory Rhythm Heaven Cameos and Kat and Ana hanging out with Leo.

so did you get cicada's name from some obscure promotional material or is it just a coincidence that she's listed under that name in the credits of move it

WarioWare Incorrect Quotes Collection
Wario: Boil up some Mountain Dew, it's gonna be a long night.
5-Volt: That is the worst thing you could've possibly said.
Ashley: Cauldron Boil and Cauldron Bubble, Baja Blast to Fuel My Trouble...
Jimmy: Why do you challenge them?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spitz: Of course you should fight fire with fire. You should fight everything with fire.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wario, after meeting Mona the first time: I've never been an inspiration before.
Wario: Not sure if I like having this much responsibility.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mona: What did you two do?
Kat:
Ana:
Mona: You're not in trouble, I just need to know if I have to lie to the police again or not.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
9-Volt: Why would anyone hate Wario?
Lulu: Maybe because they met him?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Red, Texting: Ashley, there's a really big moth on the bathroom door, can you come get it?
Red: Please Ashley I'm gonna cry.
Red: Ashley
Red: Ashley?
Ashley, Texting: Hello, this is the Moth. You're next.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lulu: I have no parental figures to tell me not to wrestle bears.
5-Volt: It's me, I'm that parental figure. I'm telling you now; Do Not Wrestle Bears.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Orbulon: I had too many magic beans.
Orbulon: The magic beans are coursing through my veins!
Dribble: Uhhhh, Orbulon?
Mike: Ignore him, he ate seven containers of Tic Tacs.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
(During WarioWare Snapped)
Wario, handing forged Health and Safety approval stickers to Kat and Ana: Okay kids, plaster these on anything that looks like a lawsuit.
Ana: Wario, is this legal?
Wario: When the cops aren't around, everything's legal!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dr. Crygor, trying to learn internet slang: So Yoink is just the opposite of Yeet?
Penny: Yes but it's just as fast.
Mantis, also trying to learn internet slang: *nods solemnly* The Stars Yeeteth, and the Stars Yoinketh away.
Cricket, looking out the window: I wonder if a fall from this height would be enough to kill me on impact.
Doris 1, with the tone of someone with Experience: It isn't.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashley's Parents: We raised a perfectly well-functioning child.
Ashley: Oh, I have a sibling I don't know about?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Mona, Cricket and 13-Amp are sitting in jail together*
Mona: So who should we call?
13-Amp: I'd call 5-Volt, but honestly I feel safer in jail.
Cricket: *sighs* And Master would probably see it as some kind of learning experience.
Mona: ...Wario?
13 and Cricket: Wario.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wario: Clearly, this is the Stars' way of punishing us.
Jimmy T: I thought you didn't believe the Stars are divine beings.
Wario: I do for the bad stuff...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cricket: Sorry, I didn't catch your name.
Cicada: That's okay, I didn't throw it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
13-Amp, reading from an online quiz: Would you stab your best friend in the leg for ten million coins?
9-Volt: You stab me, then when my leg gets better we buy all the games we want!
18-Volt: Oh! You stab me too, then we can have 20 million!
9-Volt: Good thinking!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wario: While I'm gone, Jimmy, you're in charge.
Jimmy: Groovy!
Wario: *whispering* 5-Volt, you're secretly actually in charge.
5-Volt: Obviously.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cicada: Dear diary, my teen angst bullshit now has a body count.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Captain Syrup: So, who exactly is in charge here?
Wario: Well, on paper I'm the CEO, but in practice it's usually whoever yells the loudest.

Subcon Update!
So as loyal readers will know, i have a fascination with placing the mario series in a timeline and one offshoot is Subcon, a dream world originating from Super Mario Bros 2 (the american one). I've done some posts about this, but I've added the warioware and rhythm heaven series into the timeline.
initially thought to be the imagination of Mario in Super Mario Bros 2 but was later proven to be a realm in and of itself in BS Super Mario Bros USA Power Challenge a Satellaview exclusive sequel to Mario Bros 2.
The character Wart or Mamu from Super Mario Bros 2 appears in Link’s Awakening which also takes place in a dream world albeit on an island. This means characters from the Zelda series also have access to this dream world.
Prince Richard appears in that game as the engine used to make Link’s Awakening was first made for a japanese exclusive gameboy game called The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls which events gotta take place before Linl’s Awakening.
Tumblr media
Mad Scienstein appears in The Frog for Whom the Bell Tolls, later appearing in Wario Land 3, Wario Land 4 and Dr. Mario 64. Wario Land is of course a sequel series to the Super Mario Land series. Events from the Wario Land series are referenced in the beginning of the first WarioWare game as having happened.
Tumblr media
Cicada, a character from Rhythm Heaven is also featured in the WarioWare series.
Rudy, the villain from Dr. Mario 64 is referenced in the Mario x DragonQuest video game Fortune Street.
Captain Rainbow is an odd japan exclusive game about a former super hero actor who goes to an island of dreams to get his wishes fulfilled. The connection here is that Crazy Tracy from Link’s Awakening is in the game.
There’s an overarching theme of dreams and none of these games really make a whole lot of sense either together or in their own right which sort of fits the loose defined boundaries of dreams.

I “finished” WarioWare Move It! It’s exactly what I was hoping for, and I’m loving it. I’m impressed with the controls, which work as intended the majority of the time. The notable exception is Jimmy’s boss stage, which takes forever and I just can’t get the hang of. But otherwise, it’s been fun to see what creative ideas they thought of.
Also, amazing to see the surprise return of Cractus and Cicada!

Speaking of Cricket, who do you think was the girl that was training with him? Also that other little boy in the picture with Mantis?
I'VE GOT A HEADCANON NAME FOR BOTH OF THEM! THE KUNG FU BALL GIRL IS YOUNG CICADA AND THE BOY IN THAT ONE PICTURE IS YOUNG BLOODWORM
