When Jesus Says: “I Never Knew You”
Towards the end of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5-7), Jesus warned His disciples to “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves” (Matt 7:15). These false prophets will bear bad fruit (Matt 7:16-20), which is their false teachings and demonically empowered miracles. These pseudo-prophets are deceived, thinking they’re doing…

What does Jesus and the Bible teach about being a “good Christian”?
at the request of @iridescent-glass-bubbles, i wrote some scriptural advice. and i apologize for being long winded, but i wanted the verses to do a lot of the talking 😂🙏
The most important thing in learning to set a good example as a Christian is to continually read God’s Word.
Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are being destroyed because they don’t know Me,” (NLT). And in the KJV, it says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” It means, how can we know God and His ways if we’re not actively reading about them? It’s much easier to be confused and led astray when you’re not familiar with what He’s said and how He works. (If you can read a novel, you can read Matthew or John or Romans.)
Similarly, what you’re constantly focusing on will affect how you think and act. Jesus says, “But the words you speak come from the heart- that’s what defiles you. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander,” (Matthew 15:18). This is why Paul says in Colossians 3:2, “Think about the things of Heaven, not the things of earth.” And in Philippians 4:8, “Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” Fill up your heart with things of the Lord, and that’s when your actions will start to follow.
As for how Jesus wants us to act, it’s all through the New Testament, especially His “Sermon on the Mount” speech in Matthew. Among some are: don’t hate anyone (5:21-22), don’t seek revenge (5:38-42), love and be kind to those who hate you (5:43-48), forgive everyone without holding a grudge (6:14-5), and don’t let pride convince you you’re better than everyone else (7:1-5). He says in Matthew 22:37-38, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” The Golden Rule: treat others the way you’d want to be treated, is actually from the Bible (in Matthew 7:12).
A good summary is found in Colossians 3:12-15 which says, “Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with Love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.” (Also see the fruits of the Holy Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23).
Jesus didn’t just teach these things, He lived them. Every account of a situation He was in is an example of how He honored these principles.
It sounds like a tall order, doesn’t it? The truth is we aren’t capable of being perfect examples of Christ. We mess up all the time. But the Holy Spirit can help us with these things. Jesus wants to grow us into bright lights that shine His love on everyone, but we need to be willing. I didn’t see that much change in myself until i started regularly reading the Bible and thinking on how He wanted me to act. And then i started putting in the effort to obey, and He provided the increase.
We can’t be “good Christians” if we’re relying only on our own efforts. But we’re called to listen to and obey the Lord and He will change us more and more into His image. As Philippians 1:6 says, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work in you, will continue his work until it is finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” So let God’s promises fill you with peace, stand for the truth, and love others even in difficult situations. 💙

Do We Focus on Ourselves or God?
How can we profess to be true born again follower of Jesus, Bible believing Christian when we are not serious about God? It’s obvious to see on social media. All our posts are about us, our thoughts, our feelings, our opinions, politics and quotes that are not biblical/spiritually helpful or encouraging. Any true born again followers of Jesus Christ knows very well :
“And He said to him, “ YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ Upon these two commandments hang the whole Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37-40
‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”
Revelation 3:15-16
“I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
John 15:5-6
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; LEAVE ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS”.
Matthew 7:21-23
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
God cannot be just a part of our lives, He has to be our Everything. We have been born again to serve Him, not ourselves. What we feel and think we can always pray and talk to God about for He cares for us. He provides for all our needs, He protects us, He blesses us and heal us, that is His part; our part is to obey Him in all things and to serve Him out of love for Him, but if we do not make God our Everything, not making Him the center of our life and our only reason for existing, We blatantly disobey the first commandment: YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’
How than can we expect to make it to Heaven when we die?
Consider this: “For many are called, but few are chosen.”
Matthew 22:14
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is constricted that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Matthew 7:13-14
Wake up people of God! Repent and serve God as you were created to do!!!

I Never Knew You
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' (Matthew 7:21-23,)
"I never knew you."
I've studied these passages for some time and have come to a couple conclusions.
First, notice those being turned away are relying on what THEY have done to get them into heaven. 'Did we not do this? Did we not do that?'. They bring their works to the gate hoping to gain safe passage. If you come to the gates of heaven with hopes of anything besides Jesus getting you in you will be sadly mistaken. We tend to rely too much on ourselves and not enough on God even in our daily lives.
"I never knew you."
Second, he says he never knew them. This is very important. Because many people go about their lives claiming to know Jesus. But does he know them? What does it take to know anyone? What did it take for you to know your best friend? You spent time with them, talked to them, shared your thoughts, feelings and fears. Most importantly you learned from them, listen to them, spent time with them. Jesus doesn't just want you to know about him like you know about a celebrity. He wants to know you. He wants to have a relationship with you. Like you have with your best friend.
And this brings me to my next most important point. READ YOUR BIBLE!
People, Christians, go about their lives reading their Bible at the minimum they can. Oh they will pray everyday sure. They want God to hear all about their lives and problems. Don't get me wrong he wants to hear. But when are you people going to give him a chance to reply? Praying is you talking to God. Reading your Bible is God talking to you.
God has so much for you if you'd just take the time to get to know him. Truly know him.

False Teaching in the Last Days
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1 The Holy Spirit tells us in plain words that in the last days some people will turn away from the faith. They will listen to what is said about spirits and follow the teaching about demons. 2 Those who teach this tell it as the truth when they know it is a lie. They do it so much that their own hearts no longer say it is wrong. 3 They will say, “Do not get married. Do not eat some kinds of food.” But God gave these things to Christians who know the truth. We are to thank God for them. 4 Everything God made is good. We should not put anything aside if we can take it and thank God for it. 5 It is made holy by the Word of God and prayer.
Christians Are to Grow
6 If you keep telling these things to the Christians, you will be a good worker for Jesus Christ. You will feed your own soul on these words of faith and on this good teaching which you have followed. 7 Have nothing to do with foolish stories old women tell. Keep yourself growing in God-like living. 8 Growing strong in body is all right but growing in God-like living is more important. It will not only help you in this life now but in the next life also. 9 These words are true and they can be trusted. 10 Because of this, we work hard and do our best because our hope is in the living God, the One Who would save all men. He saves those who believe in Him.
Paul’s Helpful Words to Young Timothy
11 Tell people that this is what they must do. 12 Let no one show little respect for you because you are young. Show other Christians how to live by your life. They should be able to follow you in the way you talk and in what you do. Show them how to live in faith and in love and in holy living. 13 Until I come, read and preach and teach the Word of God to the church. 14 Be sure to use the gift God gave you. The leaders saw this in you when they laid their hands on you and said what you should do. 15 Think about all this. Work at it so everyone may see you are growing as a Christian. 16 Watch yourself how you act and what you teach. Stay true to what is right. If you do, you and those who hear you will be saved from the punishment of sin. — 1 Timothy 4 | New Life Version (NLV) New Life Version Holy Bible Copyright © 1969, 2003 by Barbour Publishing, Inc. Only God can provide total security Part 5 (final )
Responses to scriptures which appear to be against eternal security.
There are Christians who believe that they can lose their salvation.
It is worth considering just for a moment, that there are only two positions on this matter. Either you can or you cannot lose your salvation!
In general, two types of error can be made when trying to interpret a passage of scripture.
1. Either the verse or passage is misapplied i.e. it is talking about a different subject altogether (and not salvation in this case).
2. A verse can be taken out of context and so it is meaning becomes distorted.
An example of such an error is where some people say that because Galatians 5:4 [4] says that we can ‘fall from grace’ then this means we can lose our salvation.
This passage is talking about how to lead the Christian life not about salvation!
Scriptures used to oppose the doctrine of eternal security.
Generally, they can be divided into five main groups.
1. Passages dealing with fruit and the judgement of believers works.
e.g. In the parable of the Sower (Matthew 13:3-9) the main thrust of the story is about people’s hearts and the fruit that they will produce when salvation comes. Only the first category the hard-hearted person who refuses the seed of God’s word is an unbeliever.
See also Hebrews 6:7-10 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.
2. Passages about God disciplining believers.
Although God does discipline his children, he does not throw them out of his family.
The unforgivable sin is of course the sin of not believing what the Holy Spirit and the Word God say about Jesus Christ and can only be committed by unbelievers!
In Acts 5:1-11 Annanias and Sapphira lied to the Holy Spirit and died! This does not imply that they lost their salvation, but it was a judgement of their works. Their dead works will be burned up in heaven just like ours!
See also the story of King Saul in 1 Samuel 28 and especially v.19 ...you and your sons will be with me.
3. Passages taken out of context.
Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. The context of ‘saved’ here is that of delivered i.e. will not die but survive.
Matthew 7:21-23 ...I never knew you; depart from me your evil who practise lawlessness. This is talking about judgement day (every knee ...) and is clearly talking about unbelievers.
4. Passages exhorting believers to live in fellowship.
Hebrews 6:1-6 careful study of this passage shows that the ‘repentance of v.6 is referring to the same repentance from dead works’ as verse 1. This is talking about believers who are out of fellowship with the Lord and need to get rid of their dead works.
5. Miscellaneous scriptures.
Revelation 3:5 ‘Overcomers’ Some people assume that some believers will not be overcomers and hence lose their salvation. However, in 1 John 5 4-5 defines who the overcomers are i.e. one who has faith in Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 2:11-13; ‘If we deny (disown) Him....He will also deny us. However at the end of the day if God remains faithful our salvation is secure in Him, and He always remains faithful.
Conclusion
The grace of God should promote holiness in our lives. We are in a relationship with God which cannot be broken although our fellowship can.
Your eternal life has already begun so let us live and act in a worthy manner!
Jude:24-25 24 Now unto him that can keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion, and power, both now and for ever.
Amen.
Prayer

Holy Spirit Speak Through Me
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ Psalm 33:21 For our heart is glad in him because we trust in his holy name.

VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+Samuel 23:2 “The Spirit of the Lord speaks by me; his word is on my tongue.

** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM RELYING ON GOD
GOD IS WITH ME
JESUS LOVES ME
I AM BETTER IN JESUS
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
From time to time, we will encounter situations where we dont know what to say, or we dont want to say the wrong thing. Sometimes, we know exactly what we want to say, but we want a little bit of salt added to it so then we will ask the Holy Spirit , please help me to say this or that. I have done this many times where I find myself in a pickle, and I say Holy Spirit, you do the talking. I do not want to mess this up because I know myself, and I know if I say it in the way I want, it might hurt someone's feelings ,and I know some people say oh, it's okay, just say it but we never want to be harsh with our words, so we seek the guidance of the holy spirit.
I can  remember plenty of times the Holy Spirit would give me what to say, and I asked him if he could speak for me because I did not want to hurt anyone's feelings or say it in a way that I wasn’t tending it to come across , and when he speaks for me I dont try to go back and put my spin on it I leave it where it is, we must allow the Holy Spirit to speak when  we are too afraid to say it, or we dont know what to say that’s why they say he will guide us into all truths.
In the verse today, David even recognizes that his words had the spirit of the lord behind it ; we can listen to any teacher, any preacher teach to us ,but whoever they are, they are speaking the truth of God; the spirit is using them we can’t elevate a man or woman of God we must always elevate God in everything because the moment we start elevating a regular person above almighty God we are placing more power into mere man, and we can't do that friends
" Hebrews 3:7-8 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness,"
This verse tells us not to harden our hearts when the Holy Spirit is trying to correct us about the things that are going on in our lives. A lot of us like to deny or sugarcoat what we were doing to bring us comfort, but when the Holy Spirit tells us to stop, we must do it.
We can't harden our hearts like the Israelites did they wondered the desert for 40 years because of our disobedience, we don’t want to be like them and be stagnant in our walk with Christ simply because WE WOULDN’T LISTEN, the Holy Spirit can speak to us in so many ways, but it is up to us to listen and to allow his word to marinate in us, and to transform us into people with integrity and morals, it is not to late to turn around and hear him when he speaks.
Matthew 10:20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Jesus was telling his disciples, and he is telling us today, dont worry about what to say when you have to witness or when you have to speak the truth; it is not you who will be speaking; it will be the Holy Spirit , that we must give ourselves over to him and allow him to work through us, as long as we are pulling away from him and ignoring his voice on small things he won't be able to speak through us, but when we give our body to him, and he lives in us, and we treat our body like we suppose to and live a righteous and holy life, the Holy Spirit will use us, and he will be able to speak through us,
***Today, do not get confused or full of fear; allow his word to dwell in you, allow his spirit to live in you so that you may be used by him at all time , when we allow the Holy Spirit to speak to us we are allowing him to have his way and that’s what we must do is allow him to have his way in our life at all times !
The greatest part about letting the Holy Spirit speak for us and through us , we will never be outside of his will for our lives . It’s no doubts or anything when we give him permission to be active in it . Today if you need to say something to someone don’t fear ask the Holy Spirit to speak for you and he will do it if we listen and not harden our hearts ! ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

PRAYER
========================
Heavenly Father we thank you for everything , we ask you to give us peace in our lives. Lord we thank you for the mercy and grace you have shown us . We ask that every day you speak for us and guide us to what you want us to say and do . Lord we ask that you forgive us and purify our hearts and minds today . We desire to be a living sacrifice for you. Whatever we do that’s not of you please show us , lord we ask that every situation we have that you fix it ! We ask that you continue to use us for your will and help us to hear you when you speak , help us to let go of anything that’s not pure in Jesus Mighty Name Amen

Proverbs: God's Wisdom for the Day Devotional Scripture: Proverbs 26:24-26 (KJV):
24 He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him;
25 When he speaketh fair, believe him not: for there are seven abominations in his heart.
26 Whose hatred is covered by deceit, his wickedness shall be showed before the whole congregation.
Proverbs 26:24-26 (AMP):
24 He who hates pretends with his lips but stores up deceit within himself.
25 When he speaks kindly, do not trust him, for seven abominations are in his heart.
26 Though his hatred covers itself with guile, his wickedness shall be shown openly before the assembly.
Thought for the Day
Verses 24-25 - Cunning people often practice guile; pretending to be friendly to those they hate to find a way to hurt them. There are many Biblical accounts of such deceit. Abel's murder probably is one of those, for Cain, after becoming angry, "...talked to Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose against Abel his brother, and slew him" (Genesis 4:8). Genesis 34 records the deceit enacted by Jacob's sons, who in vengeance for their sister Dinah, feigned friendship with Shechem and his family so that they could easily kill them.
We ought to be cautious in making new friends and should certainly beware if anyone who has previously hated us suddenly becomes friendly. Verse 25 says that there are seven abominations in the heart of one who poses as a friend. These abominations may be the ones listed in Proverbs 6:16-19: "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
We will recall that Jesus said that he who hates anyone commits murder in his heart and that he who looks at a woman with lust commits adultery in his heart. In the same way, these seven sins can be present in the hearts of those who pretend friendship. We should be careful to befriend only those of proven good character. This does not mean we are to shun people in the world, as we should witness to them through our godly actions, but we should not make friends with sinners.
Verse 26 - A cunning person may successfully conceal his hatred, but regardless of how many people he deceives, his wickedness will eventually be exposed. There may be a public exposure on earth or exposure before the church on Judgment Day when Christ separates those who think themselves to be Christians from those who are (Matthew 7:21-23). Sooner or later, sins concealed by guile will be revealed. "...Ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23b).
Prayer Devotional for the Day
Dear heavenly Father, we are grateful that You are a merciful God and we appreciate Your love toward us when we fail You. Lord, set us free from any trace of guile, and forgive those who have used treacherous words against us. Lord, warn us when people are trying to deceive us with smooth words so that we are not tricked into any agreements that are not of You. Have mercy on those whose sins are exposed before all and cause their shame to turn them back to You in repentance. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Better Than Miracles P1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 | Timothy J. Keller [1 Corinthians 13:1-3]
Series: Love: The Way to Grow Up
This sermon was preached by Rev. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on April 14, 1996
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:1-3; Acts 18:9-11; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Corinthians 8:1; 1 Corinthians 10:24; Matthew 7:21-23
1 Corinthians 13 is a very famous passage — but in the context of the entire book of 1 Corinthians, we see that it is a sober warning against straying from the Gospel.
If a person is gifted, many of the Corinthians were, it is frighteningly easy to mistake spiritual gifts for spiritual fruit. When we serve others in the Church,
Are we serving JESUS or are we serving      ourselves? To understand this passage      fully, you have to understand:
[a] The story behind it; [b] The bombshell Paul is dropping on the      Corinthians; and [c] How it applies to people today.
A.] Overview
Every year after Easter from the week after Easter till the onset of summer -- we choose a series of sermons that really talk about what it means to practically live a Christian life.
And we're going to be looking at the very famous passage of 1 Corinthians 13, the entire CH & we're going to look at that for six weeks.
Therefore though I'm only going to be looking at v.1-3 today, & that's all that is printed there. I am going to read you the whole passage.
And it's extremely familiar, very famous probably next to the LORD's Prayer and the 23rd Psalm, this may be the third most famous passage in the Bible
It's Paul writing in the 13th CH of the first epistle of his first letter to the Corinthians, and he writes this:
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 | Import of Love
¹ If I speak in the tongues of men and of Angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. ² If I have the gift of prophecy & can fathom all mysteries & all knowledge—& if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
³ If I give all I possess to the poor and exult in the surrender of my body, but have not love — I gain nothing.
⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn't envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. ⁵ It is not rude, it is not self -seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs.
⁶ Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. ⁷ It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
⁸ Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be restrained; where there is knowledge, it will be dismissed.
⁹ For we know in part & we prophesy in part, ¹⁰ but when the perfect comes, the partial passes away.
¹¹ When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I set aside childish ways.
¹² Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope, & love; but the greatest of these is love.
This is GOD's Word.

Right wingers, stop talking about Christ. There's no such thing as a Trump supporting Christian. Any person who supports the ideologies, lies, hate, and extremism of the right is in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ.
In fact, the Bible talks about them SPECIFICALLY:
Matthew 7:21-23:
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
Remember, it's not liberals running around proclaiming their hate in the name of Jesus. There's only one group of people that verse can be talking about, and they're the same ones whose ideas are so shit that their only recourse is to call their opponents groomers.

FRESH MANNA
PRETENDING
Proverbs 13:7
Pretending means to behave in a way to make it appear that something is the case when in fact it is not.
People pretend always, sometimes unknowingly. But why do people pretend to be something they aren’t?
God admonishes us to be real and He’s delighted when truth reigns in our inmost being according to Psalm 51:6.
Unfortunately, pride prefers deception to truth, and does not realize by doing so it prefers destruction to construction. And God desires truth in our inmost being because he knows that his truth is the only thing that will set us truly free according to John 8:32.
Are you a pretender? Do you try to impress people with whom you think they should see and not who you are?
Are you one of those who think pretending to be who you’re not is more beneficial than being yourself? There are so many today who don’t know how to be real, how to be themselves and appear as they should.
If we read Luke 12:1-7 with understanding, we quickly realise that the gospel is full of messages of authenticity and not pretending to be someone else because there’s always going to be some problem of pretending in the Christian life.
Why do people pretend though?
Physiologically, we are encouraged as children to “role play” to pretend because it helps with language development, especially in toddlers. Imaginative play helps us create exciting worlds where we can use lots of new words. Make-believe play gives children the opportunity to use the vocabulary they might not use during an ordinary day. Unless you are going to the zoo, you aren’t talking about zebras or penguins.
But adults and Christians pretending to be who and what they aren’t is a dangerous thing to do and be what Christ describes in Matthew 23:27-28.
Adults pretend for several reasons, including trying to raise themselves above their station. They feel insecure, as self-praise, and self-importance to belittle others.
People pretend because of Pride! People want to look honourable and important in the eyes of their peers, but looking honourable and having an honourable heart are two different things according to Mark 12:38-40.
Most people pretend because of embarrassment. When we are embarrassed to admit our foolish actions, we may be tempted to deceive others into thinking we’re happy with our decision as seen in Matthew 14:9.
No matter how embarrassed one gets, one must be careful of how one acts and the decisions one make as we see it can be fatal.
And of course, pride loves flattery which is another reason why people pretend. Flattery! Flattery is used to pretend we like someone to get something from them as seen in 1 Thessalonians 2:5, unfortunately, this is another form of manipulation
Let’s not forget selfishness which may disguise our true motives to better our position and forces us to pretend to be someone and something we are not as we see Jacob display in Genesis 27:15-19, 35.
God hates pretence and pretenders as seen in Amos 5:21 “I hate all your show and pretence—the hypocrisy of your religious festivals and solemn assemblies.
We may pretend with our actions, religious practices, false repentance, or superficial obedience, but God knows our hearts. We may even pretend with words and even our thoughts and might eventually fool even ourselves into thinking our motives are sincere, and worse yet, that God does too. God does not pretend and neither should we, especially as Christians.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to always be sincere in my thoughts, actions and appearance and not pretend to be someone and something else in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Shalom

What Are the Basics of Jesus’ Teaching?
Tumblr media
For some's purposes, this might look like picking an unexpected way of life in comparison to what you have been living. Others might have to abandon legalism and find the opportunity of relationship with Jesus. In any case, others might understand this implies pushing forward in confidence knowing your cross for the season is adoring that darling with psychological sickness battles, dealing with that continuous medical problem, or really focusing on the live-in family member.
What Did Jesus Show God's Realm? While Jesus showed about a few subjects including those we examined over, the one He tended to most frequently was the Realm of God.
While talking about the realm of God, Jesus laid out that:
The realm of God is definitely not a natural realm. Jesus said, "My realm isn't of this world. Assuming that it were, my workers would battle to forestall my capture by the Jewish pioneers. However, presently my realm is from somewhere else" (John 13:36 NIV).
Devotees take part in carrying the realm to earth. "This, then, is the way you ought to supplicate: "'Our Dad in paradise, consecrated be your name, your the hereafter, your will be finished, on earth for what it's worth in paradise" (Matthew 6:9-10 NIV).  Check out who is jesus christ.
The realm of God, which is everlasting, is a higher priority than that which is worldly. "In any case, look for ye first the realm of God, and his nobility; and everything will be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33 KJV).
The realm of God is built in an individual's heart and brain. "God's realm doesn't come essentially by submitting to standards or hanging tight for signs. The realm isn't found in some spot, for God's realm domain is now growing inside some of you" (Luke 17:20-21TPT).
While Christ has come, we sit tight for His return and the commitment of God's realm to be completely understood. This is the questionable relationship of the "generally yet not yet" which is analyzed in the accompanying article.
For what reason Did Jesus Come to Earth and Educate? In the event that we consider the greater part of Christ's teachings and the long periods of His service, an image of a man who lived what He trained starts to arise. Jesus was definitely not a recondite scholarly attempting to dazzle the world class in the public eye.
He was, all things considered, God's just Child who showed those with delicate hearts in word pictures they would comprehend. Jesus talked about soil to clear up responsive and lethargic spirits and water for convey everlasting life.
Christ talked about what seemed OK to demystify what could liberate individuals from the outcomes of wrongdoing — explicitly salvation because of the pardoning of sins and opportunity as adherents of the Savior.  Visit https://www.the-christ.net/david-hoffmeister for more info.
How Did Petitioning heaven Assume a Part in Jesus' Service? As well as teaching, Jesus gave a lot of opportunity to petition both by and by, for His followers, and for other people. Contingent on how they are counted, somewhere around 25 Book of scriptures stanzas record no less than 25 of these examples.
His standard act of supplication, alongside the immediate teaching of how and what to implore about, produced a shape the supporters — and Christians into the indefinite future, keep on following.
Jesus implored:
·      much of the time in confinement (Luke 5:16), in broad daylight (John 11:41-42), preceding strolling on water (Imprint 6:46)
·      prior to picking His devotees (Luke 6:12-13), while mending individuals (Imprint 7:34-35), preceding eating (John 6:11)
·      at the point when He favored the kids (Matthew 19:13-15), at His absolution (Luke 3:21-22), in the Nursery of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46), as He took His final gasp (Luke 23:46)
Through Christ's exhibit of supplication and teaching, His adherents acquired a comprehension of how they were to love God, love others, and find trust and timeless security. "Your the hereafter… "

Are You in Right Standing?
Beware of Self-Deception
Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
It is easy to rationalize our thoughts and behaviors, but that leads to self-deception. As the saying goes, “There’s no one more blind than the one who refuses to see.” Of course, self-deception leads to self-destruction. Perhaps, it would behoove all of us to audit ourselves with the help of Holy Spirit. Be willing to see what’s hiding beneath the surface, and actually do something about it. Like repent and make some changes.
1 Corinthians 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
While it’s true we are saved by grace (see Ephesians 2:8-9), we cannot afford to abuse it, or attempt to hide behind it. If we decide to just go about our “merry way,” hoping grace will keep us from driving off a cliff, we could be in for a rude awakening. Here’s a passage of Scripture that might get one’s attention.
Matthew 7:19-23 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.
Fruits refers to our ways. Actions don’t always reveal what’s in the heart. Read Matthew 6, where Jesus talks about the hypocrites who seek the honor of men by doing by their public display of “good works,” for example. People have a misconception that signs and wonders are signs of God’s stamp of approval on their life; however, they are there to confirm His Word and bring Him glory. Gifts work, regardless of the person. For instance,
And one of them, named Caiaphas, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all, Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one Man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation (John 11:49-51).
Notice, Caiaphas did not speak of himself, but it was the office of the high priest that worked through him. Later, he would cry, “Crucify Him!” Was his heart right before God? There are numerous lessons to be learned from Matthew 7; but for now, let’s narrow the focus.
2 Corinthians 10:18 For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
One Example: Forgiveness
There are many areas of which to audit, so we’ll look at just one major area (not to dimmish any other). How do we view forgiveness? How many Christians hold grudges? Is that okay? Yes, it’s a rhetorical question, but a lot of people talk out of both sides of their mouth when it comes to this subject. On one side, they’ll proclaim the forgiveness of God, and the merits of forgiveness. On the other, they talk of retaliation when someone does something offensive to them. That manifests in different ways, and at the center of it is pride. You can hear it in their voice when they talk about how they would deal with someone who should do them wrong. A lot of the ways they mention are what they learned from others while growing up (parents, close relatives, friends). Regardless of the source, it’s still unbiblical.
Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Jesus makes it very clear: if you will not forgive others, God will not forgive you. Read Matthew 18:21-35, in which Jesus refers to the importance of being merciful. Verse 35 serves as another stark warning: So likewise shall My heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not everyone his brother their trespasses. Those who fail to extend mercy, will not have mercy extended to them.
The intent is not to use fear and torment to motivate anyone to action. The fear of the Lord is appropriate, but let’s not forget love. Perhaps, think about it this way: if a person refuses to forgive others, does he or she actually walk in love? 1 Corinthians 13:5 tells us, love is not easily provoked, nor takes into account a wrong suffered. This leads us back to Matthew 7:23 where Jesus said, “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.”
1 Corinthians 8:3 But if any man love God, the same is known of Him.
One aspect of those who practice iniquity is they do not love God. He knows those who love Him. They are intimate with Him. Love extends mercy for the sake of God and the individual. Being in right standing includes forgiveness! By the way, His grace enables us to forgive when it seems impossible.

1. Either or the verse or passage is misapplied i.e. it is talking about a different subject altogether (and not salvation in this case).
Amen.

THE COMFORT OF GOD By Dr.  Prophetess, Lillie M Robinson-Condeso Often times we go through our daily lives, and so often we find that we are dealing with turmoilic situations circumstances or conditions and we seem to try and find comfort in whatever we can sometimes it's in food sometimes his drink sometimes it's talking to another friend sometimes it may be some other vices and wish you may try out but sadly to say none of these things actually bring comfort.  It will not be lasting in comfort, continual comfort it may be for the moment but that's all there is.  And furthermore, you have to deal with the consequences that will start to feel it all but thank God there is one who brings comfort, and that comfort does not require any side effects so to speak. And today we are going to be talking about that kind of COMFORT Praise God.   But first, let us begin by defining what the term or word comfort means. 1. a state of physical ease and freedom from pain or constraint:" room for four people to travel in comfort" 2. the easing or alleviation of a person's feelings of grief or distress:" a few words of comfort" 3. comfort ( ˈkʌmfət) n 4. a state of ease or well-being    5. relief from affliction, grief, etc 6. a person, thing, or event that brings solace or ease 7. obsolete support 8. ( usually plural) something that affords physical ease and relaxation vb ( tr) 9. to ease the pain of; soothe; cheer 10. to bring physical ease to The idea of “comfort” implies at least two parties: one who gives the comfort and one who receives it. were created with the capacity to receive and give comfort, and we live in a world where we need it. (Ecclesiastes 3:11), He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet[a] no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. we humans suffer distress in a unique “three-dimensional” way—past, present and future. We remember previous distresses and are filled with grief or regrets. HOWEVER, We face each day’s troubles and worry AS REFERENCED IN, (Matthew 6:25–32). We reflect on these things and dread what may come next (verse 34). And perhaps sometimes, most of all the guilt we carry for some reason or other even for having deeply offended another, ever or Lord. (James 2:10–11;   For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” [a] also said, “You shall not murder.” [b] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. Believers in Christ,  have  comfort from God that includes a true freedom from guilt. For Christians, our righteous Judge is also our loving Savior. (John 3:16–17) 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. And, Paul brought the good news of free, complete and irrevocable forgiveness, reconciliation, and adoption as mentioned in: (Romans 3:23–25; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[a] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 2 Corinthians 5:11–21; New Living Translation We Are God’s Ambassadors. 11 We work hard to persuade others because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too. 12 Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, [a] so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart. 13 If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. 14 Either way, Christ’s love controls us.[b] Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.[c] 15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 All of this is a gift from God, who brought us back through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin,[d] so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
