He and Madeline met when she was living overseas for college. They met because they had the same friends and became friends and hung our. They didn't date for a little while but he eventually got the courage to ask her out and now the rest is history. After finishing college, they moved to NYC and got a small place for a couple years.

She travels a lot for her job and he always is able to tag along ( depending on his job. he could also be work as a photographer for the same company if you want. )

During Christmas home with her family they found out Madeline's mom had cancer. This made Madeline and him to make a hard decision to move closer to to them because she is really close to her parents. Jayfeather’s pretty, and maybe she’s not allowed to think it, but she does. Leafpool’s pretty too, but everyone always says that, everyone always thinks that, and no one really appreciates Jayfeather. 

He’s got her tabby markings, but in gray, muted tint, with no warm tones. He’s blue, blue-gray; cold, which fits him more, Briarlight decides. He’s lanky but small, which she’s supposed to know or maybe not know is a WindClan trait. She doesn’t mind, though. It gives him uniqueness, makes him different (maybe even better) than everyone else.

She thinks it, when the moonlight hits his pelt and he doesn’t even realize, but it makes everything glow. When him and Leafpool return from the Moonpool, and it’s dark, except for a path of moonlight that borders the entrance. She should be asleep but she’s a light sleeper, so they always wake her up. Jayfeather’s gaze sweeps right past her, and Briarlight’s heart quickens when she realizes that he can’t see her glancing at him. It feels like a secret.
