So happy Aven is alive like literally so relieved. I was so anxious about it I started worrying I won't be able to work tomorrow if something happens to him lmao.

I was very happy that the way I characterize Aven in my head played out in the game but at the same time I was low-key devastated.

It was nice to see that he can be playful and a bit silly, like when he and Ratio were solving puzzles and getting on each other's nerves. It was also nice to see that his masks slips easier and more often than I thought. Honestly everything about him is just so peak fiction like he's cunning and low-key manipulative but he's also very sentimental, he says the end justifies the meaning and says that betrayal is a tool he can use but he actually refuses to sacrifice others and says that he considers it to be a dirty game. Like he's soooooooooo

Also "future" Aventurine. Evil shadow self lmao. He was fascinating because on one hand he low-key represents Aventurine's mask. However he also represents the pent up negative emotions and thoughts he has towards himself. Which is cool because I mean who knows what hides underneath the mask better than the mask itself.

I'm happy he started his journey to self acceptance thought. Like to be honest I'm very satisfied with the way his arc was written. Hated to see him in pain but it's cool they gave him the space to be broken and vulnerable in front of the player, addressed his past and how it affects him.

Topaz was surprisingly nice when talking about him I thought she can't stand his ass. She did sound sad when talking about him "dying" so I presume she DOES care. And so does Ratio!!!!! I hope hoyo will explore Aven's relationships with them and his arc will lead to him realizing that there are people who care about him regardless of his status.

Outside of Aven's arc. I like the way Sunday was written. We didn't spend much time with him but I feel like they did the most out of it like you can see what kind of person he is. Obviously there's more to learn but still. That being said, I can't stand his ass 😭 He gave me the ick during his scene with Sparkle and after 2.1 I don't think I'll find it in myself to ever like him but we'll see, after all I was sure I won't like Aven since he works for the IPC but here we are.

And about the final twist. Yeah. Didn't see tgat coming and thanks god I didn't spoil it for myself. That being said, I don't think Gallagher would actually kill someone, so I think the angelic siblings will be fine.

Also. Aven's boss form is sexy af I was staring at him and his little slutty waist when Luocha decided to intervene with his "what is it we're waiting for? 🙄🙄🙄" Like??? Boy be quite??????

It was the night of the championship game and Eddie's final campaign. Normally you would have gone straight home with Chrissy to hang out, but Lucas had found you during the game to spoil your plans.

“So, kind of a long story, but basically Erica’s here playing D&D in my place, and you gotta take her home.”

“And why exactly is this on me? That sounds like a Lucas problem.”

“Well now it’s a Y/n problem cause she biked here, it’s pitch black out and you know mom and dad will-“

“Completely freak if I don’t bring her back. Yeah yeah, I got it.”

You turn to Chrissy and apologize saying you’ll give her a call when you're home.

She smiles at you, “Y/n it’s okay. Sisterly duties call, plus this gives me an excuse to go to the after-party we were so desperately looking forward to avoiding. Jason’s going to be thrilled.” You both laugh and go back to watching the game while you're not cheering.

You knock again, louder this time, hoping they might actually hear it but you end up waiting a full minute before deciding to just go in. You begin to turn the handle but find the door is jammed. Placing all your weight against it, you keep pushing until-

“What the hell is going on! Oh-” You were now on the floor looking up to see the one and only Eddie Munson looking down at you with his big brown eyes.

“Oh shit, Y/n. Are you okay?” He asks, concern laced in his voice.

Eddie had always been sweet to you.

He sat behind you in Ms. O'Donall's class and never failed to make you laugh with his random outbursts. Whenever you took tests you’d always move your paper to the far right of your desk knowing he was peeking behind you.

However, it wasn’t enough to help him get a passing grade, but you always tried helping him out because you knew he was smart, he just didn’t care to study. It had caused you to develop a bit of a crush on him if you were being honest.

You look at him in the eyes and just burst out in laughter, Eddie had never heard you laugh before, well, really laugh. You’d always giggle at his jokes or laugh with your friends, but it was never like this. You were clutching your stomach and holding back tears, he thought you looked so beautiful. So real.

“I’m so sorry, I must’ve scared the shit outta you. with all that banging.” Eddie reaches his hand out for you, which you gladly take and stand up. “So why have you graced me with your presence m’lady?”

You blush, “Oh I’m just looking for Erica, I gotta take her home since it so dark out. Um, where is she by the way?”

“Ah the littlest Sinclair, I just met her today. She's very... pleasant." You look at him with wide eyes, "Are you sure we're talking about the same Erica?" He laughs at your comment.

"She just walked out with the others, I’m sure they haven’t gone too far. I could maybe… um.” Eddie stops talking when he realized you were still holding onto his hand, tightly, your thumb grazing his rings.

Eddie has had a crush on you since middle school. You caught his eye during the talent show when you sang 'I Will Survive'. You were nervous at first but ended up having so much fun on that stage and your voice was angelic, he fell in love instantly. And now you were standing in front of him and holding his hand.

You wave your free hand in front of his face, “Earth to Eddie, are you alright?” He snaps out of his trance and looks up at you.

“Oh yeah, um I was just going to say I could help you out, i- if you wanted me to of course!” He was bright pink, and you were still holding his hand.

“That’d be nice. Could probably use some help finding that little brat anyway.” You laugh before letting go of his hand and picking up your bag which had fallen down with you earlier.

As you release your hold on him, he quickly turns around to gather his stuff, face red as a tomato.

“By the way, I heard you earlier. Nice vocals, you should be in a band or something.” You joked, but soon saw Eddie’s face as he looked at you with a sad look.

“You don’t remember. Shit you don’t remember.”

“What are you talking about Munson?”

Eddie looks you dead in the face then suddenly jumps up onto the table and starts shredding an air guitar along to the music. After his performance, he jumps down and looks at you with hope in his eyes. “Nothin’? You’re killing me here Sinclair!” He holds his hands out and dramatically brings them to his chest as if he were holding a knife.

“Eddie what the hell are you- OH MY GOD WAIT. In middle school, you were totally in a band!” He claps his hands together triumphantly.

“I’m actually still in a band, but I’ll take it. Yeah, we’re uh-“ You quickly cut him off, “Corroded Coffin. How could I forget, your hair was all buzzed, I used to think it was so cute.”

Eddie was breathless. You thought he was cute. Not only that but you had remembered the stupid haircut he sported in his younger years. “Yeah well, your sister thinks I’m a ‘long-haired freak’ so maybe I should’ve kept it short.” You laugh, the real laugh that he was falling in love with.

“Well if it makes you feel better, I’m glad you grew it out. It’s very…” You stop and think about the best word to use, “metal. That and those tattoos you got."

Eddie’s heart stopped. There’s no way that you were right here in front of him complimenting his appearance that most of your friends had made fun of throughout the years. Oh so beautiful you, standing there and getting closer to him… getting very close to him. So close he thinks he might pass out right now. “Truthfully, I think you’re very handsome Eddie, no matter what stupid haircut you might have.”

Before he can respond, you plant a kiss on his pink cheek then run to the door, “I’ll see you outside Eds.”

Eddie gripped the table behind him to balance himself, trying wrap his head around what just happened. His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by none other than Dustin.

“Eddie, what's the hold-up? You’ve been in here for a while are you okay?”

“I must’ve died and gone to heaven because an angel just kissed me”

“What the hell are you talking abou-“ Dustin stopped before smiling at Eddie putting 2 and 2 together after seeing you smiling like a lunatic in the hallway, “OH MY GOD YOU AND Y/N KISSED?! I gotta tell Lucas, he's gonna lose his shit.”

Before Dustin could run from the room, Eddie grabbed his collar to hold him back.

“Not a word to anyone Henderson. Not a fucking word.” Dustin nodded aggressively so he'd let him go.

“Now," Eddie puts on his jacket and composes himself, "let’s go outside, she’s waiting for me.”

I just reread the space between heartbeats and I suddenly need you to tell me everything about it! What gave you the idea for all the story beats and details???

Thank you so much for asking (and for re-reading?? Such an amazing compliment wow)!! I'm still completely floored by how sweet everyone has been about this fic....I wrote it from the heart so the positivity really means a lot😭 Also sorry this got so long oh my god lol.

Before I even started writing, I knew I wanted to come at the whole thing from Mako's perspective. He's such a complicated and fascinating character to me, and there's so much potential to explore how the trauma of witnessing his parents' murder and the depersonalization of having to be brother-father-protector-provider to a younger sibling while also still a child led to him being SO detached from his own wants and needs and feelings, and so used to thinking of himself as a tool rather than a person, that if somebody asked him point blank what he wanted his head would pop.

But maybe...after spending a lot of time around somebody who isn't afraid to openly want things and ask for them....Mako could start thinking about what HE wants, so that when somebody finally does ask him he's able to untangle his feelings enough to actually put them into words.....?

Mako's character has such a strong presence and I didn't want Wu to feel flat in comparison, or for it to seem like he was only there to further Mako's development, so I decided to give Wu the benefit of having the setting be all about him.

This also gave me an opening to show how Mako's influence could give Wu the push he needed to shake off the spoiled prince persona and become the more mature, compassionate man he always had the potential to be. We saw the beginnings of that in the show and in Ruins of the Empire, and I like to think they'll continue on that trajectory even though I'm not getting my hopes up for any wuko crumbs whatsoever in the Mako solo comic.

(Everyone already knows this because I never shut up about it, but what makes me so bonkers about wuko is the potential for them to bring out the best in each other. That kind of dynamic is fucking gold to me.)

Anyway. Once I had the POV and setting figured out, I had to give Mako a reason to be there, and I thought, well, he hasn't yet reached the point where he's able to admit he has feelings for Wu (even inside his own head) so the pretext of him deciding he had to keep Wu alive to protect the fragile democratization process felt right and seemed plausible.

The first two scenes came together from a few lines I poached from an unfinished korrasami wip....

"That's not–I'm not–we're just colleagues, Asami," he splutters convincingly.

"Yeah? So everyone at the precinct just hand-feeds each other moon peach slices in the morning, then? That's standard 'colleague' behavior?"

"Asami–"

"And right at the breakfast table," she whispers dramatically, shaking her head in mock disapproval and relishing how the blush has spread from his ears down his neck. "We all saw you practically purring into his hands, Mako. Like a damn octocat."

....and this bit of dialogue from the closet scene

“What kind of closet locks from the inside!?”

“You tell me! You grew up here!”

“Not in this closet!”

I turned the peach lines into a whole scene because I loved the idea of Wu being like "teehee I am getting him to try something new and fun" meanwhile Mako's like 3 seconds away from just snapping and sucking on Wu's fingers. Except it's rated T so. You know. Gotta be more subtle about it lol.

As for the closet dialogue....I'm a simple woman and I will never ever get tired of closet-themed jokes and accidents. My personal headcanon re: Wu's sexuality is that it was kind of like an open secret among the royal family. Like he'd flirt with women in public just to keep up appearances but really, everyone knew. Hence the "not in this closet!" line. To be clear, I don't think the royal family was ok with it, and I'm sure he suffered for it, but in this fic I positioned him further along in his own self-acceptance journey than Mako.

The next scene didn't unfold as easily, and I really, really struggled with it. Mako was a bit of a ticking time bomb by this point in the story–the tension had been rising for a while, and I knew it had to break eventually, but I wanted it to break in the right way.

I wrote several different versions, but every time the dialogue got away from me and it always ended the same way: with them getting into an actual argument and Mako storming out the door. And that was Not the vibe I was going for. I wanted more of an "oh fuck" moment rather than a "this guy is pissing me off and I have to get out of here" one. Mako has a tendency to get snappy in emotional situations, and that combined with him being an acts-of-service kind of person made the "it's my job to worry about you!" line finally click into place.

Deep down, Mako knows he's more than just a bodyguard to Wu, he knows how Wu feels about him, but he can't let himself really think about it. Because if he's more than his work, more than just a tool to be used, if Wu wants him around simply because he enjoys his company and not because Mako is providing a service, then that means Mako's entire sense of self is built on a lie. That's a terrifying realization, with or without the added element of internalized homophobia (and I had to add it. For maximum angst.)

I knew I wanted the fic to end with Mako realizing that the way he'd been operating simply wasn't healthy or sustainable, followed by a dramatic confession of feelings, but how to get there? Well why not invent a weird old bug woman. I thought a sort of grandmotherly figure might be somebody Mako would take seriously, and also I selfishly just wanted a woman in the story lol.

I honestly don't know where the ant spiral idea came from–maybe it's something I learned about as a kid that's been haunting the crevices of my brain for years. But it felt like an interesting way to symbolize how Mako was on a self-destructive path of repeating the same harmful behaviors over and over. If he kept depriving himself of meaningful connections, never stepped outside his comfort zone, continued avoiding learning how to process his emotions, and kept letting his fear and his pain decide what he was and wasn't allowed to want, he'd only keep inadvertently hurting himself and the people he cares about. That sort of thing. But he's stubborn, and needed to figure it out himself, so I let Qin Li give him the pieces (dare I say peaches?) so he could put it all together.

The final scene was written in its entirety at the auto shop, because apparently that's where my muse lives. Great place to write, can't recommend broken cars highly enough. Anyway, I wanted his eventual admission to feel like removing a giant splinter, which is to say: extremely painful and strained, but a huge relief once it's out. Difficult as it was, he needed to actually verbalize that shit not only for himself but also because it wouldn't have been fair for Wu to have to be in a relationship with somebody who couldn't even admit the feelings were real. And of course I had to have Wu jump into his arms at some point. Couldn't resist :)

One other thing I just thought about (and can't figure where to put it in this post, so I guess I'll just stick it here) is that I had fun giving both of them weird little quirks. Like Mako being an anxious/compulsive skin picker and Wu being fidgety and refusing to wear his glasses.

OH YEAH ONE MORE THING. Mako yanking on the doorknob in the closet was 100% a euphemism. For something.

speaking of Nine his poses getting more unhinged over time!! hell yeah

i love that the final fight(s) felt like a kid smashing 3 different Lego sets together, real Robot Pirate Island shit

i laughed a little too hard when the Grim's dome started closing in cus Nine's citadel-thing already reminded me of a thing that happened in Fortnite once, but hell naw they had to add The Storm too sdfghj

we're four years into the 2020's and Sonic has nearly died an agonizingly slow death 3 times in 3 different continuities! and dare i say it was delicious every time >:)

So... Twitter, huh? My spoiler filters there had some leaks, and I saw some discussion out of context that... actually made me kinda scared to finish the show. But then I did, and had fun with it just like the other two seasons, and I remembered that Twitter gets high-strung about things that don't matter so much, and that giving it sway over how much I enjoy things is silly lol.

Yes, I think the last season could've been paced differently so it wasn't 5 episodes of the same Final Boss Fight. Yes, I think the writing switches jarringly between gearing for a young new audience and for a seasoned old one. Yes, I think the 2D flashbacks look and move worse than what fans constantly make for free. Yes, I think the final episode doesn't do nearly as much housekeeping as it should (does the Shatterverse still exist or not??). Yes, I think declaring the show is canon to the games or whatever they said probably wasn't the best idea. And yes, I think Black Rose should've had a shoulder-parrot!Birdie to match the other Amys. All valid critiques! All sensible things to think when you've been around the Sonic bush!

But I swear to god, people on Twitter act like these things spoil the whole package. Where's the nuance? Why does every opinion there become an absolute worth tearing others down for? Is it the character limit? I bet it's the character limit.

There's so much I love about this show that were infeasible for the Sonic brand just 3-4 years ago. Externalizing the characters' facets to explore them in-depth. Said exploration spanning multiple episodes instead of being one-and-done. The sheer amount of genuine Sonadow food (and I don't actively do shipping, so me adding it here should hold a lot of weight). The snappy, playful, yet blistering fight scenes that, dare I say, feel like a successful TV-budget Spider-Verse. It was all so much fun!

But I guess stuff like Green Hill being the gang's "home" is a big deal-breaker?? Like?? I thought that was silly too, but not worth ratio'ing people with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse over? Get well soon, I guess??

Rambling over, shout-out to the entire country of Canada for giving me the most fun I've had with a Sonic show since X! I'm gonna go figure out how to address all this as The End lol

im gonna rant at you for a bit if you dont mind :)

Im a minor that lives in a super tight night, close minded community. Super religious, super homophobic transphobic ect. Seeing as im a teenage girl whose questioning their gender and is definitely attracted to women thats kinda problematic lols. Honestly idek how to explain the situation without a bunch of details, but basically, theres a fifty-fifty chance of me being sent to conversion therapy or just cut off from any internet access (and i mean ANY. i have a flip phone for fucks sake.)if my fam finds out im queer, i have no support system outside of some internet friends who know nothing about my situation, and within the next few years(so like once i turn 20ish, thats in like 4 years but whatever) my family is going to expect me to get married to a man and start popping out babies asap. Btw thats whats expected of me in this community, marriage under the age of 25, have like as many kids as physically possible and god forbid higher education. And im not okay with that . Ffs i want to go to college, major in fine arts, meet a person i like and fall desperately in love or maybe not just have a bunch of close platonic relationships i want cats and a dog and a cute studio in a big city where i can dye my hair whatever color i want aand get an obsene amount of piercings, i want to wear pants!! I just want to live. Without expectations or limits or people who love me hating everything they dont know about me. Is that truly so much to ask for?

And im incredibly dramatic cuz i literally have the dream life. My family loves me, my parents are upper middle class, theyve never hurt me before(besides for all the anti everything rants haha) i literally have a full sized bed, which for some reason i see as the peak of being spoiled idk why. I go to school, not even public, a private religious school that prob costs thousands of dollars, i have friends(who are all part of this community btw and id bet my entire savings that most of them think gay is only a word that ppl use to mean happy lol) close ones even!! I have adorable neices and nephews(my 3 sisters all were married by the age of 20, so i have 11 niecesand nephews while my oldest sister is 31) im living the dream life. But i hate it and i have no way out. No hope of college to get on my feet and find someway out, no people that'll help me fucking run away or some bullshit like that, hell ive considered it and then felt like shit, cuz what am i even running from? Im probably attracted to men it wont kill me to marry one. And i like kids, i wouldnt mind having any either. But.... i dont want to be trapped anymore. Cuz ill be honest thats what i am.if some one asked me to run away with them rn i would, no hesitation.

Notes: I'm not done guys, but I'm making progress! 😭 So, I'm claiming it. This is the last teaser from chapter seven, dammit.

This #Batwoman AU is based on the ABC tv series #Revenge. Ryan Wilder had just about everything taken from her when we met her, and she was doing her best to get it back. In this version of the story, that means taking some people down along the way. And, she's definitely no hero.

It's getting really hard to find teasers that won't spoil the fun too much. But, I can't leave you guys hanging. You've been holding me down for too long...I feel like we're really in this together!

CHAPTER SEVEN SNEAK PEEK

Ryan sees Tommy Elliot standing in front of the chrome elevator doors, waiting for them to open and presumably take him to the same place she's headed. She doubts Kate’s expecting him, because she didn’t mention being double booked. And, even though Kate’s primary purpose in Ryan’s life is to get her access to the people who took her young life from her, to Robyn Wilde, Kate has become a close confidant. So, Tommy will need to quickly clarify if he’s here as friend or foe.

Ryan: “Surprise visit?”

Tommy tries to fight back the unexpectedness of hearing Robyn's voice with a small smirk. 

Tommy: “Kate’s used to my drop-ins…She’s had plenty of visits from me.” 

Ryan: “Because someone tolerates a lack of boundaries doesn’t mean they prefer them.” 

Tommy: “We’ve always had a very candid relationship. I’m sure she’d tell me if she wanted me to do something differently.” 

Ryan: “Fair enough. I have no doubt Kate’s the honest one in your friendship.” 

The doors open, and Jacob Kane is standing inside of the elevator. Neither of them walks into it, right away.

Jacob: “Tommy! It’s been a while…"

Tommy: “Yes, sir. It has been a while. It’s not the same without you around the house.”

Jacob: "Yes, well, hopefully I’ll be back soon… And, Robyn is it?”

Ryan nods, and offers a small smile as he steps out.. 

Jacob: “Do you both have a meeting with Kate?”

Ryan: ”I do, and I have to get back to Luke right after. So, I should head up.”

Tommy: “I was in the area and thought I’d stop in to see my friend.”

Jacob: “Well, if you have a moment, I’d like a word.” 

Tommy: “Sure…” 

Ryan takes the opportunity to get a head start, hitting the button to the top floor, and smirking at Tommy as the doors close in front of him.

Ryan: “You’ve got company, and it isn’t just me.”

Kate: “Wow! Busy day. Who else is coming up?”

Ryan: “Oh, just your bestie.” 

Kate frowns, and then remembers.

Kate: “You don’t mean Tommy?”

Ryan: “Oh, but I do…”

Kate: “Okaaay…this should be interesting. Did you see him checking in, or something?”

Ryan: “Actually, he was here before me, but your dad wanted to talk to him, so I came up to warn you.”

Kate: “Thanks for that, and while I'm at it, thanks for the connection to Julia. My dad came by to tell me about their meeting, and to check on things with Luke… and apologize.” 

Ryan nods, trying to limit her words in reaction to Jacob Kane’s organization’s part in making Luke unconscious.  

Ryan: “So, are things going to work out with her?”

Kate: “I think so…but I also think he’s about to keep her pretty busy. I hope that’s not going to interfere with anything you needed.” 

Ryan: “So far, my stuff has been pretty easy. Simple contracts. I just wanted someone I knew I could trust involved. I can wait for her.” 

The elevator doors chime, and Tommy walks through them. Ryan glances over her shoulder, briefly and then takes her seat at Kate's desk. He tries not to be ruffled by her presence and smiles wide at Kate.

Tommy: "Kate…I've missed you."

Kate: "What are you doing here, Tommy? Shouldn't you be somewhere worshiping Catherine and trying to fast forward through the corporate ladder?"

Tommy: "I did start my internship yesterday, and it's great so far, thanks for asking."

Kate stares at him, already completely over his audacity. 

Kate: "So you're not here to make amends, but to gloat?"

He glances down at Robyn who hasn't looked back at him. He hates that she's here, and would much rather do this privately. But he made a commitment to Catherine and Evan. So, he decides to make an example out of her presence instead.

Tommy: "You're upset because I wasn't more honest, right? Consider this me turning over a new leaf."

Kate: "Seriously Tommy, as you can see, I'm busy. So, whatever you came for, can you get to it already?"

Tommy: "Okay, I can see your sense of humor is on limited supply, so I’ll cut straight to it. We’ve been friends for a long time, and I don’t want my recent behavior to ruin that. And, in the spirit of being more forthcoming, I’ll add that I was present when you texted Evan. I’m concerned that what’s been going on with us has had an impact on the two of you. I don’t want them caught in the middle, so if there’s anything I can do to improve our situation, let me know."

Kate looks down at Robyn, who she hasn’t shared the full story with, but who has been more supportive lately than her supposed best friend. Robyn looks back as if to say, ‘this choice is all yours.’

Kate: “I have a friend in the hospital, and my family is a wreck. I really don’t need any more drama in my life.” 

Tommy: “I was hoping you’d feel that way.” 

Kate: “Let me finish. If you’re going to be in my life, I’m going to need you to bring something positive to it. From where I stand, you’ve been using us and judging us, all at the same time. And because you’re my friend, I would have helped you if you’d just been honest with me. But because I’m your friend, and it seems you’re going through a hard time right now, which has evidently made you bitter and desperate, I’m going to forgive you. I don’t forget though, and I’m not huge on repeat chances. So this is it. I can’t really handle another thing…” 

Tommy drops his head, because that dig stung, but he’s also not surprised that she’d take the chance to get a lick in. He’s getting his way, and if that means he has to take a small verbal beating for them to move forward, he needs to find a way to do that. When his eyes return to hers, his expression is amicable. 

Tommy: “Understood. I’ll limit the drama. But you know us divas come with a little extra pizzazz.” 

Kate shakes her head, accepting his agreement, knowing that’s probably the best she’ll get from him. 

Kate: “Is there anything else…? I think we’ve kept Robyn waiting long enough.” 

Tommy: “Right. You two have a party to plan?”

Kate: “A fundraiser, but it’ll be a good time.” 

Ryan completely distrusts Tommy. She can tell he’s fishing, but if Kate wants to indulge him as a way to mend their bond, she doesn’t want to be outwardly discouraging. So when Kate smiles down at her, she simply grins back.

Tommy: “You’ve got the best in Gotham helping you with your plans, but if there’s anything I can do…” 

Kate: “I doubt Catherine is going to share two people from her team with us.” 

Tommy: “After all you’ve done for me, I’d figure out how to manage.” 

Kate: “I appreciate the offer.” 

Tommy: “Well, I’ll leave you to it, but maybe we can get a drink or dinner soon?” 

Kate: “We can do that…” 

Tommy nods, and then turns to leave. When they hear the elevator doors close, they give each other exasperated looks. Then Ryan shifts hers to one of sympathy. 

Ryan: “You okay?”

Kate: “Are you? Is okay even within the realm of possibility right now?”

Ryan: “I guess not…which makes me want to say thank you, again, for still wanting to do this right now.” 

Kate: “No, really, I’m grateful. It’s good to do something…good. I think Luke would prefer it too.” 

If only Kate knew how true that was. Luke has committed too much of himself to Ryan for her to squander his time and efforts because he wasn’t in shape enough to help her. If ever there was a time to rise to the occasion, and show how much she valued him, it was now. Kate’s gaze shifts to one of greater concern, and Ryan wonders if she’s shown too many of her cards.

Kate: “Can I ask you something off the cuff?”

just so you know, i feel like the universe itself didn't want me to write his voice drama. the power went out like two times while i was trying to write it, uni is killing me and i also had to rewrite his voice drama multiple times.

i'll be so surprised if anyone votes him innocent tbh 😭😭 the original version of his voice drama was supposed to make him look more sympathetic, but that scene was deleted because 1) his vd would end up being way too long and 2) i had to stop myself from revealing too much kei lore, like this is only the first trial! the original version was also supposed to reveal more information about kei and eiji's parents and i also had to delete that, again, it would just be too long and it would look like i was trying to give you reasons to vote him innocent. (and i'm not doing that! do what you want with him <3)

also this voice drama mentions those other crimes kei committed before milgram and. um. yeah, they're bad. i don't want to spoil anything, so just know that there will be mentions of torture, they're not detailed though. there's also a mention of kei getting injured thanks to eiji. again, it's not detailed and the injury isn't that serious. (also warning for kei refusing to accept that eiji and miki are not a couple and just being his usual self. you know what i mean /lh)

Miki: I mean, you both have the same last name and you look alike, so..

Eiji: Yes, he is my brother.

Eiji: But even though we're related, it doesn't mean that I will forgive him that easily.

Miki: But.. He's your family..

Eiji: Well, I don't consider him my family. I don't see my own parents as my family either.

Miki: Were they.. um, bad people?

Eiji: .. Yeah. The worst.

Miki: .. I'm sorry.

Eiji: It's fine. I'm just happy that Milgram gave me an opportunity to punish this guy for ruining my life.

Miki: But Eiji-san.. We are supposed to judge them for their crimes.

Miki: We can't judge them for something that's not the reason why they're here.

Miki: Like, for example, maybe that prisoner really was a bad person, but what if his crime is actually forgivable? We can't just vote everyone guilty based on their personality-

Eiji: I know this guy better than you do.

Eiji: And let me tell you, he does deserve the worst and most painful death.

Miki: Was he the one who did.. this to you?

Eiji: ...

Eiji: Even if I tell you the truth, you will still try to defend him.

Miki: I will defend all the prisoners until I actually see why they're guilty and why they deserve to be punished. Until that, I will try my best to understand their motives and reasons!

Eiji: .. It's only the fifth interrogation, but you've already changed so much.

Miki: T-thank you, I guess?

Eiji: It's time. I hope you're ready to meet him.

(door opens)

Kei: Oh! Here you are!

Kei: You really kept me waiting, you know.

Eiji: Get your feet off the table.

Kei: Yep, it really is my dear brother.

Eiji: And is that a milkshake?..

Kei: Yeah, a strawberry one. Want some?

Eiji: Where did you get that-

Kei: I made a request and this adorable little guard gladly agreed to get it for me!

Eiji: .. Gladly?

Miki: Uh-

Miki: W-well, y-you see..

Eiji: (to Kei) What did you do?

(sounds of Miki still trying to explain herself)

Kei: Nothing, really. I just smiled at her and told her she's the only one who can help me and that's it.

Kei: And why are you so nervous? Really, I should be more nervous than you.

Eiji: Yeah, I'm literally about to vote you guilty and punish you for every single thing you've done.

Kei: No, no, I'm not talking about that!

Eiji: And what are you talking about then?

Kei: Well, now my plan is ruined.

Eiji: .. What plan?

Kei: Oh, I just thought that maybe I can try to seduce the guards so that they vote me innocent, but then I found out that the guards are actually my own brother and some high school student who turned 18 recently, so..

Kei: Yeah, that's not gonna work.

Kei: But judging by your partner's reaction-

Eiji: If you do anything to her, I'll forget about the whole "three trials" system and I'll just kill you right after the first trial.

Kei: Hey, I literally just told you that I'm not gonna do anything to your girlfriend, so calm down!

Eiji: SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!

Kei: ...

Miki: ...

Kei: .. Then who is she to you?

Kei: It's impossible for her to be anyone else to you. You know, she's a cute girl and she's always with you, of course, you'd start falling in love with her sooner or later!

Kei: .. Fine, you win.

Eiji: Let's just get started before I smash that glass over your head.

Kei: (to Miki) Wait, no, actually, did you know that I'm the younger brother and Eiji is the older one?

Miki: I just.. don't want you to get too emotional. I think it wouldn't be fair if you were the one judging your brother.

Eiji: But I-

Eiji: What are you talking about? You know that I will judge him fairly!

Kei: Oh, I would love to talk to your partner more, Eiji! You get kinda boring sometimes.

Miki: Hehe..

Miki: U-um, first of all, Sanada-san-

Kei: Just call me by my first name. Me and Eiji are brothers, so like, it can get confusing.

Miki: O-okay then. So, do you like this place? Is it comfortable?

Kei: Are you worried about me? That's so kind of you!

Kei: Well, I'm not really happy about the fact that I'm in prison, but wow, I don't know who's responsible for all this, but they really brought some of the hottest people I've ever seen to this place.

Kei: Like, have you seen Eiko? Or Shun?

Kei: Yurika is beautiful too, but.. we don't get along well, haha.

Eiji: Do you even have any friends here?

Kei: Of course I do! I've already mentioned Shun and Eiko and I'm very close with them! I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that they're actually in love with me.

Kei: Oh, I'm close with the younger prisoners too! I'm basically their older brother figure or something.

Eiji: .. Really?

Kei: Akio can say whatever he wants, but he really does trust me. I'm the only prisoner who knows some of his darkest secrets, hehe~

Kei: And me and Riku are so similar! Haha, he really reminds me of my younger self.

Miki: I see.. I'm glad to hear that you like it here.

Miki: Okay, second question. I don't remember Eiji-san mentioning it, but.. what do you do for a living?

Eiji: ...

Kei: Oh, well, I'm just a photographer-

Miki: Really? That's so cool, I can definitely imagine you being one!

Kei: I'll take that as a compliment. But to be honest, I'm.. not exactly proud of working for fashion magazines and most of my "normal" photos.

Kei: I'm more proud of working for my father's friend!

Eiji: Wait, you still work for-

Miki: Oh, is it because they're someone famous?

Kei: .. I wouldn't say that. It's actually better for his identity to stay unknown.

Miki: Why though?

Eiji: Because that friend of our father is a criminal who kidnaps people and tortures them.

Eiji: A-and then Kei takes photos of them while he does so and that man either keeps the photos for himself or sells them to other.. monsters like him.

Miki: .. What?

Kei: Man, when you say it like that, it sounds like something illegal. Just so you know, all of my.. uh, "models" are still alive!

Eiji: Yeah, they're alive, but I'm sure most of them are now missing at least one body part!

Kei: Hey, it's not my fault that people like those photos so much. I just do it for the money, it's not like I have a choice-

Eiji: Don't even try lying to us, you just do it because you enjoy it! You're not any better than him!

Kei: Well, what's so wrong with me liking my job? You enjoy being a prison guard and torturing people and I enjoy taking pictures of people while they're being tortured! We both suck, let's admit it.

Kei: What, are you trying to say that you don't like making people suffer? Come on, everyone can hear other prisoners' screams when you interrogate them. I definitely heard Shun begging you to let him go earlier. Why would you be so cruel to him if you didn't like hurting people?

Kei: Ah.. You're just trying to act more like me, aren't you? You're just scared, aren't you? You don't know what to do, you're lost, you're confused, and now you have to judge your own brother! Of course, you have no other choice but to act like your older brother who is so much stronger and braver than you!

(sound of glass breaking)

Kei: .. Well, this is a new one. Usually I'm the one who makes people cry and I never end up being the one in pain, but I'm open to new experiences.

Eiji: I just thought it would be nice to change things up.

(sounds of Eiji standing up and walking closer to Kei)

just an observation to share, maybe my hearing is awful and this is not true, but I have listened to the Mario & Luigi clip probably north of 50 times at this point (i'm TOTALLY normal about this movie, i am NOT drowning in a sea of emotion at all times about the sweetest brothers of all time, I SWEAR) and I feel very convinced that Mario doesn't actually say "It's gonna be ok/all right as long as we're together." I believe he says: "I've got you! Nothing can hurt us as long as we're together." Which honestly, I like better and even has a slightly stronger vibe of "we've been treated badly by people in the past but we've always had each other to turn to and lean on no matter what and that's made all the difference." And now, for the first time in their lives, they suddenly won't have that and i cry and cry and CRY

I really hope this clip is the one being shared over the weekend too because 1) pls don't release any more footage, MY FEEBLE HEART CAN'T TAKE IT AND I JUST WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE AT THIS POINT, and 2) I just want to know what the actual lines are for 100% certain, my brain is rattled from trying to tune out the much louder talking, haha.

Ok, so I went back to listen to it again, and someone has managed to subtitle the whole thing, and it looks like it's the correct lines!

(bold text is the 'new' lines)

"We'll be fine! We'll be ok!"

"How is it gonna be ok?!"

"I'm telling you, everything's gonna be alright as long as we're together!"

So yeah I'll admit I've had a feeling that I got the line wrong. Other people have been adding their own ideas, but yeah this one seems to be the official version.

At the time my ears picked up what I thought it was saying (difficult trying to hear past loud talking, as you are aware!) And since then my brain had been getting mixed up with what I thought I heard, and what other people were suggesting they heard.

Oh but my heart if it had been "Nothing can hurt us" 😭 It just fits. Maybe it will appear later in a different way.

I do hope this is the clip being shown on Saturday. I've heard some speculation that it will be more of the DK fight, but I really hope it isn't. We've seen enough in my opinion to get us enticed. Why do they need to spoil even more of it? Just let us see it when the movie comes out.

I am once again asking for little!drivers…..look I have a campaign about little!drivers + we're getting closer to christmas so

picture this: mick loves christmas and is overall very happy for the winter break. it's the season where he tends to regress more because it just evokes those feelings of childhood, and he's relaxed enough to just let go and be taken care off

when it comes to christmas shopping, I think he buys his gifts at the start of the season when he's still in his big headspace. but here comes little!mick, who's a sweet angel and loves angie so much that every year he insists on buying gifts for her with your help!

I can see him just adorably talking all day about what angie would like this year. you listen closely to him and help him with even more ideas. he then worries because there are too many options! but you reassure him that angie would love anything coming from sweet angel mick!

christmas morning with little!mick and angie in matching jammies is the best thing anybody could ever experience, and you're the luckiest person in the world because you get to be part of it. homemade cookies (that sweet mick helped you make), hot chocolate, and cuddles from mick and angie are the actual paradise

Aw yes!! This is so good!! I know I literally asked for Mick but I’m always surprised when my anons actually see what I want and send it 😭 anyway, this is so good!!!

Firstly, I think Mick takes Christmas shopping VERY seriously? He prides himself on choosing gifts that people genuinely love. Mick is the type of person who will remember you said something about wanting a particular thing in October and get it for you for Christmas because he still remembers.

So of course he already has everyone’s Christmas first sorted by the middle of December, because he won’t risk a gift he wants to give someone being sold out. He also genuinely enjoys choosing and getting the gifts? It’s just so much fun for him.

It’s also a massive bonus that he doesn’t need to be gift shopping closer to Christmas, because he really struggles to stay big then, especially when he’s overwhelmed.

But of course little!Mick must get Angie’s Christmas present!! Mick actually struggles not to regress whenever Angie is mentioned? Like you’ll stop by the vet to buy more dog food and immediately he’s struggling to stay in his adult headspace cause there are so many toys!! Angie would love so many of these toys!!

He puts so much effort into what gift he wants to Angie, and he won’t discuss it with you when Angie is around in case she understands and then the surprise might be spoiled. You don’t bother trying to tell him that Angie can’t understand, because you know that would just upset him. Angie is his best buddy!! Of course she would understand!!

And matching Jammies?? Oh my god.

Maybe you have that as a surprise? You order them custom and you don’t tell Mick anything about it because you want to see his light up on Christmas morning. And he just so excited!! He can’t believe that he matches with his best buddy.

Once all the presents are open, you must cuddle with him and Angie for a little while. Even if there are other people around, he only wants cuddles from you and Angie.

So, I usually check your Tumblr for any updates to #IALS, cause I really like the banners. But I was not prepared for this week's banner. The side by side intensity of Mavid was too much for my heart to handle. Holy s@#$!!!!!

And then the chapter? I was crying. Max's heartbreak and just complete disconnection is felt. But Lance? That child has so much strength.

Then all the parallels in the different timelines this chapter! I know all the chapters have some parallel. But I just loved all of them here. Especially little Arthur with his 'we need to brush their hair cause its so silly' (btw that whole scene just made me want to have a baby and I'm so firmly anti-children for my life that its not even funny) and then teen Arthur learning what silly hair means in different contexts!

I did not know about crown day, but I wish we could expand it to South Asia so people can learn to respect curly hair. I can't tell you how many times I've seen a brown girl with their hair tied back and it just being brushed out fuzz. My mom to this day can't accept that she has curly hair that shouldn't be brushed. It makes me so sad that we're so sanitized to fit public standards without realizing.

Then Max validating his son's needs and not sidelining them with the 'but I did this'. I never thought of my experience with my mom like that. That she loves me, but I didn't get that love the way I need so I can internalize it. I am so happy for Lance and Max to reclaim that home life they both so desperately need to heal.

And David, you obsessive French fu@#$!, 😭😭you're working so hard. I can't believe I didn't realize until this chapter just how much even though I could see it. I was stuck on the Jaden of it all!! Cause David chose to date Jaden, he just never even considered the possibility of moving on from Max. He could have chosen to heal in a way that didn't take over his entire life. But he went above and beyond. David just decided that fuck the rest of the world, if its not Max, it doesn't matter. So he chose to stay with Jaden instead of trying to actually find a less painful love. He could have moved on and tried to find someone he could actually love! But he didn't even try! That's so romantic and crazy!!!!

But then the wall scene, dude.😳 Dude.🤯 Dude.😖☠ I have re-read that scene so many times now. If it has me feeling things then RIP Max. David needs to get angry more. Also, I just kept imagining this whole scene of David losing it in front of Jaden and the kids. Jaden would bust a blood vessel 😈 Like yeah dude, compete all you want with Max. Try to get in the way of his relationships with his kids. It doesnt matter.

Also, you know something? I was compiling a list of my fave couples for my friend and #IALS of course made it to the list. But you know what else did? Hannibal and Interview with the Vampire.

Hannibal - Blond obsessive European serial killer (raised in France) who falls in love at first snark with a rude asf FBI profiler. Eats people. Is a gourmet level cook and loves taking care of his FBI agent husband who doesn't know yet that they're married and have an adopted daughter together.

Interview with the Vampire - Obsessive French fucker who falls in love at first sight with a very mean pimp (who does it to take care of his family). Eats people. Likes to spoil and keep his baby happy. His husband wants a daughter, well okay then, he's going to give him a child.

Do either of those shows sound familiar to you?🙃 But my main question is, when are we getting a dark!David that Max can't resist even when he's trying desperately and falls off the edge of sanity for? And DML doesn't count! Cause I said so!

your comment about south asians and curly hair is so true because here in SL (curly hair is very common in the north because of genes + humidity) and a lot of girls feel forced to straighten or iron their hair (and save up money) because they feel like they are 'not pretty' if they have curly hair. i am so tempted to write a fucking article about this tbh because this is yet another way of setting and forcing unrealistic beauty standards.

the whole idea of 'tell me how to love you' is not always practical in real as you said. not everyone's love language is the same. but i think this is such a max thing to do. i think he cares enough to make that extra step. in fact, he will see it one more time 👀

And everything you said about David made me so emotional. We'll be digging into some of it in the next chapter! Because you are absolutely right in the sense that what he did was also a sacrifice. dating jaden was not an easy option. i wish we could have explored their relationship more but i couldn't without giving too much away but being with David (if you look closely) caused david a lot of pain too.

Hannibal and IWTV are two top tier shows and two of my faves. Not us having fine af taste oof.

Hahaha Dark David is truly something else. I would love to explore it (if yall have ideas 👀) because he truly has the potential to fuck shit up he just chooses not to smh. we will see a hint of dark david (or maybe unhinged david) in lbaf 5. we'll see.

to be fair. at the later point it was almost 4:30 am and my brain had completely shut off and the amount of critical thought happening here was in the negatives. but still. actually wait since we're here i want to share my most favorite bit of dramatic irony from the entire liveblog

to be honest my aa3 liveblog slayed and my biggest regret is not subjecting everybody here to it. REGARDLESS. since you have posed this question i do, in fact, have an answer >:]

consider, for a moment, phoenix's canonical messing with the crime scene. it doesnt take a terrible amount of creativity to figure out how he feasibly couldve forged evidence - he looks around, and with the added knowledge of the removeable bookcase and the fact that nobody else was in the room or has come up or down the stairs he's been in front of the whole time, figures that whoever killed the victim did it from the position of the secret entrance. he looks at the table for any signs of a struggle or blood and notices that one of the cards has been switched out. considering the drama that just occurred and the fact that he is a renowned poker player, he recalls exactly the cards that were there before and realizes that the criminal took that particular ace with him.

he checks the replaced card and notices that the back color is different - this is incredibly importance evidence incriminating the true murderer (somebody who is colorblind and/or was not present for the game in any capacity), so its critical that this remains as is. guessing the stolen ace had blood on it, he procures another copy of that exact card (you cannot tell me they only had two decks in the entire bar), gets a cloth or gloves or something and takes the murder weapon and presses it to the wound to get blood on it so that he can drip it onto the card. knowing that his time is running thin, phoenix hides the forged evidence somewhere in the bar so trucy can come back and get it for him. phoenix is taken in by the police for being the prime suspect.

like any good daughter, trucy comes to visit him in the detention center. phoenix tells her to go get something for him at where he's hidden the card in the bar (you cannot tell me that he cant do this because the guard would be paying attention to what he's saying - our clients have said all sorts of crap and never faced any sort of consequences for it) and asks her to give it to apollo during the trial. seems pretty cut and dry to me tbh

Omg a fellow Riddlebird!2022 shipper!!!! They're one of my fav ships too I jus arhhhg. It's kinda funny for me cos I wasn't really a fan of Nygmobblepot from the show Gotham, so here I am looking in the Riddlebird tag for specifically 2022 Riddlebird with very little luck because it's swamped w that particular version😭 oh well.

And ooh, being asked for headcanons? That's like opening a Pandoras box with me because I have soooo much to say. Note: I've tried and failed 3 times beyond this point cos I wrote way too much. I'll just throw some headcanons out there in dotpoint form after my main establishing headcanon and if you want me to elaborate on any lemme know.

I feel like Ed was in some sort of contact with Os prior and during the events of The Batman BUT I don't think Os knew that Ed was Riddler (because I don't think Ed would risk it or trust enough to reveal his identity to anyone). I've got this whole fic idea where Ed is meeting up with Oswald as Edward to do accounting work for him after managing to catch his eye at the club and talk his way into it (in order to get more information on Falcone). BUT he can't help but meet up with Os as Riddler, keeping Os in the dark that he's the same person.

- I think they're both very vulnerable people but it manifests in different ways. I think Ed is more withdrawn whereas I think Os is trying to extend olive branch after olive branch trying to understand Ed and be closer with him but also never pushing him, but rather an endless patience (we know Os is a very patient man).

- I think Ed uses the identity of the Riddler as a means to be more confident and act out his animalistic urges. Without the mask he feels too seen and he gets flustered more, especially in the presence of Os who is also very intelligent and can read emotions well. As Riddler, he gets to hide his face and feel in control. Hence why I think he takes advantage of being able to be two people to Oswald.

- I think Oswald wants to know who Riddler is but also respects him, his intelligence, and his want to take down Falcone, and therefore doesn't press for his identity.

- Oswald is sm quicker to fall for Ed whereas I think Ed would hold back a bit for multiple reasons

- Os would definitely want to take care of Ed and would want to give him plenty of money. Like, I think he'd really enjoy having someone to spoil but I think it'd be some of his insecurity that'd be driving that urge to secure someone's affections with financial support cos he'd fine it hard to believe anyone would love him or be attracted to him even tho that's what he wants (Colin and Reeves have both said Oswald is lonely and insecure about his appearance and limp)

- I think at the start of the relationship Ed would be more withdrawn and I don't think he'd consider it a real relationship until after faced by rejection from Batman. With plenty of time in Arkham to himself he'd have more time to dwell on his relationship with Oswald and realise that he does actually value having someone in his corner, cos ultimately, considering his obsession with Batsy, I think Ed does want someone to understand him and be his partner in crime that will compliment his abilities

- if we're talking about imbalance in the relationship, it'd definitely be Ed with the power. Os has faced a life of rejection and with his insecurities and Edward's intelligence and sociopathy, I think Ed would observe those things and take advantage of them. That's not to say I don't think genuine love and affection couldn't grow from Ed, but I think he'd try to repress that for a little while

- neither would ever rat on each other to anyone else <3

- I think Ed would actually enjoy the petnames Os would call him. I think it would bypass his defences honestly. Think about all the gentleness and sweetness Ed was robbed of in his childhood. Being able to get that from someone later in life would be scary for Ed but also would fill a yearn to be taken care of and doted on (I'm getting a lol bit Freudian here but if Ed had no parental figure and resents being an orphan that no one took care of, surely he wouldn't able to help but feel safe and comforted around Os if Os is kind, patient, and wanted to take care of him).

- I think Ed might get a bit jealous at hearing Os calling other people petnames... Maybe that would pass in time

- I think Ed would come to feel possessive over Oswald which would probably surprise but then amuse Oswald cos he doesn't have eyes for anyone else and Ed surely doesn't have any other competition fighting him for Os

- I think Ed had threatened Oswald's life at one point or multiple as the Riddler.

ANYWAY I could go on but I'll stop myself hahsshhaha

there's a sim i totally have in mind that i'd love to talk about but they're a huge story spoiler and they haven't even been featured on here so i can't dhsjdsjks 😭 instead i'm actually going to be different and do this for päivi

she actually had a kidney transplant when she was a kid! she was born with one kidney that didn't form properly and she ended up getting deathly ill when the other one failed. her older sister was a match and was willing to donate

päivi is a natural blonde and she has complex feelings about it. one, she's sick of the comments made about it in connection to her religious beliefs. two, she's sick of people ALWAYS asking if it's real. three, she has a bit of a "not like other girls" complex. four, she has spent most of her life dyeing it black or some funky color but then she fiercely defends her real hair color within an inch of her life if someone asks if it's real or not. she can't make up her mind whether she likes it or not but she takes the whole thing so seriously

she's actually quite fond of writing and reading love poetry. she may not be super into romantic stuff but she is a sucker for a good love poem. if she really loves you, she'll write you a really pretty one. (rip grant i'm so sorry, you might wanna throw those out...maybe...)

okay here's some past story content to give her a bit of redemption. this is something päivi has never told grant the truth about canonically BUT she quit an entire job because of him (and it's actually a good reason!!) i can't spoil all the details because it's story related but let's just say päivi's coworkers/friends judged grant severely for being diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disorder. like we're talking legit bullying in the realm of "lmao why would you stay with someone who's going to be sick forever, he can't be a good partner." and that pissed her off because ableism is garbage. päivi defended his honor on his behalf (of course they were also talking about him behind his back), threw a few drinks in a few people's faces during this incident, and then quit her job when they wouldn't stop harassing her about it. they were willing to forgive her for the fight but wouldn't drop the original topic. so päivi just quit LMAO. she put in her two weeks notice and let her former friends know she was leaving to move in with him. it was a lie at first but they did actually end up moving in together a while after that

I think Asa's more dominant personality could actually help someone who struggles with taking care of themselves. He would make sure to help you in any possible way but without pushing you or making you uncomfortable. He doesn't mind taking care of someone he loves and he actually feels kinda nice when he knows you need him in more ways than just the plain boyfriend stuff. 

He is glad to listen to whatever you want to tell him. He enjoys stimulating conversations and having someone so passionate to talk with is actually exciting 

He would probably take you out on museum dates and then he takes you to a nice fancy cafe to have some coffee and pastries while you both talk about the paintings ecc

HE LOVES DOGS TOO AND HE HAS TWO BIG DOGGOS WAITING JUST FOR YOU 

He might be a little bit iffy about the lying thing but being Asa the smart man he is, it won't take long until he finds out how to tell when you're lying. That's something he won't like very much but if you're lying about small things or even things that are worrying you, instead of being mad he will try to talk to you about it and ask if he can do anything to fix it.
