Dean and Cas go on a solo hunt and it goes entirely to plan - it's like everything they do works out perfectly, they have some insane luck, and they solve the case and save the day without anymore casualties or injuries.

Dean is a little confused over how well it went, because their track record isn't usually that squeaky clean easy-breezy, but he's buzzing at the easy hunt either way.

and Cas is like, well it IS Thursday.

????? What does it being Thursday have to do with anything?? Dean says, fond.

So Cas explains that he's the Angel Of Thursday, of course. so he's extra lucky and things just always naturally go his way on Thursdays.

and Dean has to take a moment. has to hold up his hand and take a moment. because. because this whole time. if they'd have had Cas with them on hunts. on Thursdays. they'd have all been this easy???

Cas considers this and is like, I believe so, yes. isn't it strange that I've never been along on a hunt on a Thursday before now :)

while Dean's whole world view has just shifted and he's figuring out how to tell Sam they can only ever go out on hunts on Thursdays from now on as long as they have Cas with them whilst simultaneously like, Angel of THURSDAY? The day? Thursday? What all the badass titles were taken when they gave you yours??

When Cas goes :( Dean has to reassure him that Thursday is a GREAT day actually. Best day of the week! And they spend the whole ride back talking about cool stuff that happened on Thursdays.

read the invocations by krystal sutherland as an arc i got from work and god i love when magic is just truly weird and terrifying and gross and has an awful cost. there are genuinely inhuman and frightening demons that latch on your soul like a parasite and slowly drain it in exchange for magic! demonic bargains gone wrong that rot a person from the inside out and decay the world around them! an orchard where the trees grow rotten fruit and ground weeps blood because unavenged murder victims are buried there! the terrifying sense that the characters are tampering with forces beyond their control or understanding!

#it had very strong hellblazer vibes #something about the way the characters are trying to do magic but don't necessarily know what they're doing #and make things worse as a result kind of reminded me of that #also having read both of krystal sutherland's urban fantasy/folk horror books #i have GOT to ask: ma'am what is your fascinated with people getting their skin stolen??? #anyway this book comes out at the end of the month and i def recommend it anyone who likes demons and witches should pick it up #the invocations #krystal sutherland #books #pie says stuff #pie reads

So... how many changes to a recipe do I have to make before I can say that it's mine?

#out of the nine original ingredients for the filling i am still using 3 of them #but in wildly different proportions than what the original recipe called for #ive added several new ingredients #the presentation is entirely different #im not even using their pie crust recipe #in fact im not even using pie crust at all im using crescent roll dough #and to be quite honest the original recipe was centered around soft boiled quail eggs which i have never used in it #mostly because i dont know where i would get them but also because i hate peeling soft boiled eggs #at this point i feel kind of like i did someone elses knitting pattern and learned a new stitch from it #then made up my own pattern for an entirely different garment using the same stitch #and am sitting here wondering if i can claim its my pattern

Not to barge in out of nowhere to start being a hater but the vanilla model for salmon meat in Skyrim...... 

#i was referencing it earlier and forgot what the vamilla model looked like because like. the food was the first thing i always modded #like it's not really the fidelity that i have a problem with because yeah it's a 2011 game but im of course referencing actual #cuts of salmon fillet at the same time and the vanilla model just doesn't follow any kind of traditional type of cut #it's obviously not a fillet half. #like cutting the entire side right. it's not #it is most certainly not a steak or a fillet BUT THE WILDEST PART IS #THE COOKED ONE IS NOT ONLY A DIFFERENT MODEL BUT IT IS CALLED SALMON STEAK BUT IT'S NOT SHAPED LIKE A STEAK CUT #IT'S SHAPPED LIKE A FILLET??? and the raw version just doesn't look like anything it's just #idk a cut of cardboard like you look at the marbling and it's like homeboy cut a square out of a normal cut like those #cursed pizzas where someone cuts a square from the whole pie without crust and there's just a damn hole in the middle #like idk maybe im the clueless one going insane but ive looked for cuts that match the color and marbling of vanilla raw salmon and i cant #find anything like it. am i going insane. is this really what im sitting here doing at 1:23 in the morning on a monday that is now a tuesday #this is why my ass doesn't post on tumblr like. i am really Losing It
