Man, I like Daily Wire in concept but Matt Walsh needs to shut the fuck up about video games. The same guy who tried to resurrect the tired old "violent video games are harmful!" crap is now acting like he's the first person to notice that video games are pushing woke nonsense (even though there are about a hundred channels and outlets that have been talking about this for years) but his solution is to, of course, for the right to stop playing video games.

No. Just, no.

This is the same "bury our head in the sand and pretend pop culture doesn't exist" mindset that got us into this situation in the first place. You can't win a war (and there is a culture war going on, no matter how many people on both sides want to pretend otherwise) by retreating from every battlefield. You win by raising awareness of a problem and then offering a real solution.

And it's especially stupid seeing this cultural retreat mindset from someone working for DW because DW actually knows exactly how to fight this battle. They created their own media company to fight against woke Hollywood. Are all their movies and shows good? No, not at all. But they still did the right thing. They put their money where their mouth is, and created an alternative.

A much better example is Angel Studios, which is probably the only Christian movie studio I've ever seen that puts out top quality content with great acting, writing, and production values. They're raking in money and getting their content onto mainstream streaming services as well as theaters. In other words, they're taking their message to the people who need it the most. The ones who aren't already in the echo chamber. Unlike Daily Wire, which only offers its content on its own website through a subscription service to its own audience, and never advertises anywhere.

Another successful example outside of movies is Eric July's Rippaverse. He's been killing it with his comics, with every single one of his campaigns raking in over a million dollars, every cent of which is reinvested back into his business, helping it grow, creating more content, and expanding his already impressive roster of writers and artists. Mainstream writers and artists, by the way. Like Chuck Dixon, the guy who co-created Bane and wrote the seminal Tim Drake Robin comics, among many other credits, and Mike Baron, who wrote some of the best early Punisher comics. Eric had a following before he started the Rippaverse. He runs a successful YouTube channel and he's a regular contributor to The Blaze. He could have walled himself off with his fanbase, wrote comics about ancaps saving the world from the evils of government, and made some money while pandering to the people who already agreed with him. Instead, he went big. He invested his own money, runs his own distribution center, owns his own business with zero outside investors, hires the best talent he can, and offers a product that focuses on story and characters over messaging. His work isn't even "anti-woke". It's just not woke.

And that's what we need in video games. We need alternatives. We need to roll up our sleeves and wade into the deep waters and actually contribute our ideas and our talents. Offer an alternative. Hire people who know what they're doing, who care about quality content first and social engineering never. There is a huge untapped audience who would pay hand over fist for good video games free from microtransactions and woke nonsense.

But retreating is not an option. It's not brave or moral to hide in our echo chambers and scoff at anything fun. Entertainment is necessary. And maybe more importantly, it's not going anywhere. We will never live in a world where people go to work and spend time with their families at home and do nothing else. We need to engage with the world as it is. Not wait around for whatever our idea of a perfect world is to magically form so we can finally interact with it. You can't change society if you keep pretending large swaths of it don't exist.

Marie took any excuse she could to go to Callie's house. Her own house didn't feel safe, even when she was alone. It was fun to run off to her aunt and uncle's house and pretend everything was normal and no one was cruel to her and her mind was quiet. If she was alone for too long, her mind started drifting to dark places. If she thought about Callie in an attempt to feel better, then it went somewhere worse.

Years ago, and she would never tell a soul, Marie had become particularly attached to one photo of Callie from her family vacation to a small, not far off amusement park called The Salty Ink Boardwalk. Marie had never been. They had a small water park area, and one of Callie's parents had taken a picture of her by a swimming pool in a cute two piece bathing suit.

It was the first time Marie had ever really noticed girls. Or anyone, for that matter. She was fixated on how looking at it made her feel, until one day, she did the unthinkable. She touched herself while staring at the picture on her phone. She knew she'd crossed a line that she couldn't come back from, and vowed never to do it or think about it again. Most importantly, the real Callie could never know it happened! She didn't delete the picture until several months later. Just in case.

Callie was alone tonight, with her parents out on an anniversary date to some fancy hotel. Callie's parents loved each other…she was lucky. They loved her, too! They liked Marie, but not as much as their own daughter. She was just the weird little niece who came over way, way too much.

"But Marie! Isn't that a scary movie?" Callie whined when she saw Marie's idea of evening entertainment. She always liked it when Marie came over, but sometimes she was a little odd. It was dark out, and they were totally alone in the house. Callie wasn't confident she could handle something like that without having nightmares. Maybe if Marie stayed in her room she'd feel better. And if they could leave the overhead light on all night.

"Yeah, that's why I brought it. It's seasonal! Besides, aren't you a little old to be scared of horror movies?"

"No. They're scary. That's the point! To be scared and afraid."

"Those mean the same thing. C'mon, I'll make popcorn and you can hide under a blanket if it's too much~."

Food was always a quick way to win Callie over, especially when it was something she couldn't easily get on her own. Which was most things. She was talented in many areas, but the kitchen was not one of them. She reluctantly agreed to Marie's offer, and soon enough, she was sitting on the couch with a large bowl of popcorn and a blanket wrapped around her shoulders.

"Why'd you turn the lights off too! It's already dark outside!"

"You're basically an adult and you're still scared of the dark?" 

Callie huffed, hugging the bowl to her chest, "all mine now. Meanie." 

Marie flopped down next to her, shoving her entire hand into the bowl and spilling several kernels onto the blanket and floor. "Gimme."

She shook her head, turning away. "Watch your scary movie, I'm busy," Callie said, back to Marie.

Marie knew it wouldn't last long, and Callie's curiosity would get the better of her like always. 

A few minutes in and Callie had already turned back around, setting the bowl on the table to share, if Marie really wanted.

"Hey, is that that one actor?"

"Who?"

"That guy! He was in…that one movie! I like him, he kinda looks like you, don'tcha think?"

Marie shrugged, "I dunno what you mean."

"Well, he's always got a really serious expression and those really pretty gold eyes."

She blushed, brushing off her comment with only silence. She did her best to look interested in the movie, but now she could barely process what was being said.

Things only got worse when a fake jump scare was enough to startle Callie. Instinctively, she jumped to Marie for comfort, holding onto her arm and pressing up against her. Marie held her breath until she calmed down.

"Scaredy Cal."

Despite the insult, Callie didn't back down. She leaned on Marie just like she used to do when they were younger. She could smell Callie's body wash this close. Melon of some variety, she thought.

She let her mind wander, indulging in the fantasy that Callie was doing this on purpose. That she knew how Marie felt. Definitely not possible.

"Snuggle better." Callie demanded, pulling Marie's arm around her shoulders. "You're supposed to be protecting me from the scary stuff."

She tried, and failed, to relax. It was obvious how tense she was… Hopefully, Callie would think she was just freaked out by the movie that she had long since stopped watching.

Marie began slowly rubbing Callie's arm over the blanket. It was a gesture she seemed to enjoy as she snuggled up closer, nearly in Marie's lap now. When Callie reached up to grab her hand, she was certain she was going to stop her. Instead Callie just held onto it. No way it was a coincidence..! She wanted to push her luck, just a little.

As subtle as she could manage, Marie rested her other hand on Callie's thigh, deliberately not taking her eyes off the TV. Callie didn't seem bothered. A victory? She was feeling confident now, for a brief, thrilling moment.

They sat together like that for a while, in comfortable silence. Callie had her head resting against Marie, still holding her hand. It was nice, while it lasted, though not long enough in Marie's mind. A rather abrupt sex scene caught them both off guard. They both tried to act disinterested so as not to seem weird to the other. In an attempt to look at anything but the screen, they mistakenly looked at each other, freezing in place.

Callie had a peculiar look on her face as she peered up at Marie. She was thinking about something, or maybe trying not to think of it. Marie didn't have a chance to do anything before Callie quickly, wordlessly, kissed her. Less than a second worth of contact. She bit her lip, waiting for Marie's reaction, holding her breath.

Marie blinked. Then stared. She opened her mouth, wanting to say… something. She didn't know what. Nothing.

She grabbed Callie's face, kissing her like she'd never kissed anyone before (she hadn't). Don't think about it, don't think about it. She tasted like sugar, likely from all the candy she ate when she thought no one noticed. But more importantly, she tasted like Callie. That was enough to make her dizzy. 

Was she doing a good job? Did Callie like it? What if she wasn't good enough? Callie had kissed people before! She could judge her performance. Would she do that? Was that a thing people did? She had no past experiences to know what was normal. All she could think about was Callie. How much she wanted Callie. Needed Callie. 

Kissing Callie felt like home. She was so warm and soft and safe. But Marie was miserable and greedy. She'd never had anything and now she wanted everything.

Callie didn't.

Marie snapped back into reality when Callie grabbed her wrist. She'd pushed it up under her shirt, but didn't get far.

"Ah, hey, hey, Marie. Not so fast…"

She froze, realizing what had just happened between them. She wanted to cry, but not in front of Callie.

"I gotta get home. My parents are gonna wonder where I am." She didn't and they weren't.

Callie didn't argue. Marie pulled her shoes on, sprinting into the blankness of Calamari County.

Have you read any of the official English translations of danmei novels? Would you recommend them to someone who is practicing reading in Chinese but not quite at the level of understanding everything, and wants to double check the meanings with translations?

nope, haven't read any of the licensed English translations! I generally figure if I've read them in the original I don't need to re-read them in translation, so alas I cannot offer any comment on their merit as potentially instructive texts

if you're looking for a book to practice reading comprehension, I'd actually suggest going the other way around — finding a novel that has been translated into Chinese, like a Chinese edition of Harry Potter or The Little Prince, because then you're operating on the sure footing of knowing the original text. or you can look into higher level language textbooks, the ones that start pulling selections from novels and short stories as their reading material — I know they're not as fun and sexy and narrative as what we want to be reading, but I think it's significant that language textbooks are written for the express purpose of accuracy and education, whereas translated (web)novels from any language into any language are usually going to shift their focus toward entertainment rather than linguistic fidelity

translations are, by nature, inherently interpretive and subjective; it's hard for me to recommend "double checking the meaning" of something against a translation because that assumes that translations and their original texts are fundamentally the same, or that translations are, in a way, an answer key of sorts to the original text. to conflate the two personally makes me deeply uncomfortable, but then again, I'm one to talk given that I have access to both versions

at the end of the day, I think you should do whatever you think would bring you the most joy in your language learning. you should feel free to try anything and everything, from diving into a book with nothing but a dictionary app in hand to trying out the first few chapters of a text while glancing between versions in different languages to approximate an understanding of it. and you should feel free to give up on anything if it isn't working for you — I get it, you get far enough on your journey and you are simply done with textbooks, no matter how well-intentioned their authors are

the last thing I want to say is that this is gonna suck. language learning is a slow process of level-grinding (逆水行舟，不进则退), and no matter how much you love a text you're working through, no matter how enthusiastic and starry-eyed you are going in, you are going to hit rough patches. books will feel like they never end; your reading speed will feel unbearably slow, especially since you keep having to stop, look up an unfamiliar word, and then re-read the entire page again to find where you were and how this new word fits into your understanding of what's happening. learning a new language — particularly attaining reading comprehension and speed in that language — is not an endeavor for fair-weather fans. all of which is to say — prepare yourself emotionally going in. be brave. be determined. be foolhardy. bite off more than you can chew. trick yourself into succeeding. read a chapter a day. read a chapter a month. set goals for yourself. and most importantly, be forgiving

Random Drabble Day (2/23)

Summary: First off, let me just say that this is more like a one-shot than a drabble because I'm a wordy bitch and I cannot control myself 😅

That said, I always had a hard time imagining Julie writing some of the Perfect Harmony's lyrics about herself, so I thought why not make this just another song that Luke and Julie wrote together? This is set somewhere between Finally Free and Edge of Great, in that week when Ray was stress-eating. This is supposed to fit back into the show at the end, so it might seem like a cliffhanger, but it's not.

Fandom: Julie and the Phantoms

No matter how many times Luke insisted that she had been snooping through his things, Julie knew for a fact that she had done no such thing. In reality, she had simply been cleaning the studio when she came across it.

For three ghosts who didn't eat and could barely even touch anything most of the time, the boys sure knew how to make a mess. Every morning Julie would walk into the studio to find the chairs or coffee table rearranged, at least one of the rugs was always askew, and the clothes... the clothes were everywhere, and the worst part was: they reeked. 

And so every morning before leaving for school Julie would shoot them a stern look and tell them to pick up after themselves. Which they did - when she got back home, things were mostly in their rightful place. Still, every weekend Julie would make sure to take a moment away from homework and rehearsal to tidy the place up to perfection, just like her mom liked it. She'd dust off the furniture, water the plants, sweep the floor, and even vacuum the whole place. One Saturday when she was home alone (her dad photographing a wedding, and Carlos at a friend's house), she even went through the trouble of washing all of the guys' old clothes. 

Somehow, and she didn't even want to think about how that worked, the clothes didn't stink when they were actually wearing them, but at any other moment when they made no contact with their skin? Yeah... not good. So she washed them all (three times, using every trick and product she had). She washed them a fourth time for good measure and, by the time she was finished, any traces of twenty-five year old mold was gone, and so was the smell.

So no, she was not snooping - no matter what Luke said - when she came across the crumpled paper ball between the couch and the low cabinet, just behind a big vase her mom had gotten from tía Victoria.

Julie sighed, making a mental note to tell Luke to put his discarded ideas in the bin (again) if he didn't want them anymore, when one scribbled and wrinkled word caught her attention: Perfect Ha-

She bit her lip, staring down at the teasing word. Perfect what? Was it lyrics? Maybe half formed ideas? Doodles? Julie knew Luke liked to doodle in the margins of his notebook whenever he got stuck trying to come up with the next best piece of lyric or melody. She also knew she should probably just leave it alone, put it with his stuff to ask him later if he wanted to keep it, or put it in the garbage. Except the more she glanced down at that damn word, the stronger she felt it pull her towards uncovering whatever else the crumpled paper ball was hiding. 

In the end, the pull was too strong. She'd just take a quick look, make sure it wasn't anything important before she threw it away. And, she reasoned with herself, trying to squish the guilt that was making itself known in the pit of her stomach: Luke had gotten rid of it, so he clearly didn't care much for whatever was in there. 

Not able to resist any longer, Julie carefully unfolded the paper, slowly making her way towards the piano and using its surface as a table to help smooth the page over.

Luke's (horrendous) handwriting covered it with the bare bones of a song, random lines were scribbled in the margins with a couple of doodles for company, and even a little note from their bassist - ‘Reggie was here ;)’.

It took her a minute before the chicken scratches became words, and then Julie's breath left her in a rush, as the guilty feeling in her stomach turned into butterflies and flew away with her imagination. 

It was a song, parts of one, anyway, and - more importantly - it was a love song.

Unprompted, her own words came back to her, "Wow, Luke! I didn't know you were such a romantic." Quickly followed by Alex's short reply, "He's not."

She knew now who Unsaid Emily was really about, but these new words were clearly about a different kind of love. The romantic kind, and Julie couldn't help letting herself believe - just for a moment - that the song might be about her.

Before she could let herself be carried away in a daydream, there was a - now familiar - shift in the air, a sound almost like static, the only thing letting her know of a ghost's appearance. Without a thought, she crumpled the page again and shoved the paper ball in her pocket for later inspection. 

"Hey, Julie!" Reggie's cheerful greeting sounded across the studio from where he had poofed in, and soon - with his "help," bless him - Julie was finished with her weekend clean up. 

As if summoned by the end of her chores, Luke poofed in, ready to rehearse. Alex soon followed; and by the time Julie retired for the night, the song had been almost forgotten where it hid inside her pocket. 

Almost.

After getting ready for the night, Julie settled on her bed with the wrinkled page and her dreambox. She read over the words again and again, imagining they were about her.

And unless Luke had been singing with another girl, there didn't seem to be many options on who it could be about, right?

From the beginning, Julie had felt something connecting her to him; to all of them, in different ways. But Luke had been the one to give her a little piece of his soul right after meeting her when he let her use Bright to earn back her spot in the music program. Seeing his passion reflecting back on her, the way he treated music like she used to, made her miss it more than anything for the first time in almost a year. It made her miss the way it felt to use music to connect with her mom.

After they spent a whole weekend finishing each other's songs and working on new ones, getting to know each other's inner workings - the part of them that bled out feelings into paper to create beautiful melodies, Julie knew she was a goner. Finding out he'd been the one to write the words that shaped her taste in rock certainly didn't help. Like he'd been helping her find her way to music long before they even met.

Her crush on him had been inevitable from the start, and while falling for him was probably one of the worst things she could’ve done, it was too late to stop it. She'd been free falling for a while, and hopefully she'd land in his arms soon enough. Reading over his words again gave Julie a warm fluttering in her stomach that made her think he was more than ready to catch her once she reached the ground. 

Carefully folding the piece of paper, she put it inside her dreambox, then placed the box back on the shelf.

The following week went by without any hiccups. Every once in a while, Julie would remember Luke's song and a familiar warmth would fill her up, leaving a soft smile on her lips and glazed eyes staring off at nothing. Just as often, Flynn would have to shake her out of her daydreams.

She didn't think much would come of it until her dad decided to throw the band a party so he could film them and post their video on YouTube. Which was fine. Amazing, even. It was most certainly great! Until Luke came to the school, staring at her with his stupid, beautiful, awed eyes, and with his soft, perfect smile, saying things that made her combust and melt, all at the same time.

"I think you make me a better writer." 

    "I think we make each other better."

Calling Nick 'Luke' was bad enough, but slipping into a complete musical sequence as she danced with him? "Goner" didn't even begin to describe her. 

Like the other times they'd written together, the lyrics flowed through her, finishing the song he'd started with the same ease as one would take a breath.

Julie knew that whatever was going on between her and Luke couldn't happen or, if it did, it couldn't last. In fact, in the great scheme of life and ghosts, she didn't know much, but what she did know was that - be it in life or in death - love was constant. 

He didn't need to have a heartbeat or to be able to touch her for her to love him. He was just as real to her as the next person, and whether it would hurt in the long run or not, it didn't matter. 

She knew Flynn was only looking out for her, but that ship had sailed, and Julie was already so lost in his ocean eyes that avoiding eye contact wasn't going to bring it back. She would entertain her though, even knowing it wouldn't work. Just like the tide, eventually he'd pull her right back in.

She could love him just as he was, for however long they had together, and especially after that.

End notes: I hope you guys enjoyed it! And, if you'll notice, at the beginning it kind of gives off the impression that Luke eventually finds out about the song and Julie tells him how she found it. Which may or may not lead you to believe that they're in a relationship. I guess it all depends on interpretation though ;)

Rebecca character headcanons: How they react to seeing without a towel infront of them by accident after a shower

A/N: Hello lovelies! This is for my dear friend @merci-bitch I'm still working on all of your request. Most of them are being started from square one. So bare with me as I make it through them. Coming back fully is a work in progress for me. I'm going through a bit of a rough patch right now. It's all going to be okay in the end though. Just got to take everything one step at a time. This a common occurence with Rose

She hates shoes and I do headcanon she also dislikes clothes

She's very airy and bohemian in her style

Wears a lot of silk and cotton

She doesn't like feeling weighed down by fabric and material

It's very rare she actually wears a pair of form fitting pants when she's home

And even then, they're very stretchy

There are a couple of scene in Doctor Sleep where Stephen King explicitly writes she has no top on

Or no clothes in general

Especially around Crow.

She's a beautiful woman and she knows it

She even walks around The Bluebell Campground when she gets out the shower with only a bath sheet on

There is nothing sacred in The True Knot

They've heard and seen it all by now

So a person covered by only a bath sheet, doesn't bother them

You personally would never do it intentionally

And if you do accidentally expose yourself or run around improperly dressed, it's an accident or in the most dire of situations

But eventually Rose began to smile

"Well, that's a greeting in half isn't it."

You're immediately embarrassed by the remark which makes Rose grin even more

"No, no, no. No shame. It's not like it's the first time I've seen you in this setting, right?"

You stumble on your words even more

And you can tell Rose is genuinely enjoying it

You don't know what to do

What to say

Part of you is humiliated

But before you can conjure any words, her lips crash down upon yours, fingers running through your hair.

She is loving every single moment of this.

Especially your flustered expression afterwards

Needless to say you're not going to be needing clothes for quite a while now

Riza

Like Rose this is probably a more common occurence on Riza's part

Except with Riza, its not a matter of she hates clothes

She just likes to tease

In this scenario, Riza was out on business

She had to negotiate a new contract with an arms dealer and she wasn't supposed to be back for a few days so you had the house to yourself

As I mentioned before Riza hates anything deemed "domestic"

So you took it upon yourself to tidy up while she was gone

After a day of cleaning, you desperately needed the shower

You took longer than you normally would of, humming to yourself as you washed up

You didn't hear the clicking of the bedroom door opening mid way through

You dried off and stepped out of the shower, still singing to yourself. Not bothering to cover up with the towel.

And as you step out of the bathroom there is Riza

Comfortably lounged out on your bed, clad in a bathrobe with her martini glass in hand

She has been waiting to see the day that she could pull this off and now she can

"Hello, darling."

Her tone is sweet but clearly hints at a seductive nature

You nearly fall onto the floor, next expecting her to be there.

She laughs at you clearly entertained by not only the expression on your face but also your attire

"You're too cute, Y/n."

As she begins to approach you, she stands as tall as she can. Trying to intimidate you with her height.

"You really are such a precious thing, aren't you? So petite and most importantly, all mine."

She presses gentle kisses up and down your neck that leave you in shock

Riza knows she's seducing you every step of the way and she is loving it

She leads your hands down to the tie on her silk robe and squeezes your hand in hers

"Do you want to see what things you do to me?"

I think everyone can fill in the rest of the picture here

Kathleen

Even though Kathleen is a bit of a flirt and sometimes a tease, there are clear boundaries between the two of you

In every relationship there is a need for privacy and respect

If you have neither of those, the relationship won't work

So between the two of you, you respect the other one's need for privacy

Kathleen would never do anything to make you uncomfortable intentionally, and you are the same way towards her

Even though you share a room, you have a knock before you enter policy

Sure you've seen each other naked before, but it's what makes the two of you most comfortable

So her seeing you naked in this situation, was honestly a complete accident

You and Kathleen work different shifts

She teaches theatre during the day and you teach music at nights

You normally do your hair, makeup, etc. while Kathleen is out the house that way you can see her for a few minutes before heading your own way

You showered about an hour after she left

After you dried off, you had no hesitation to just rip the towel off

After all, it shouldn't be a big deal

You have curtains in your apartment , the front door is locked, etc.

You walk into your bedroom softly humming to yourself and much to your surprise there's Kathleen

Rummaging through your shared bedroom trying to find her wallet

The two of you immediately let out a yell and yiy try to make an attempt to cover yourself with anything in sight

"What the hell are you doing?"

"What the hell am I doing?! I thought you were at work."

"I was at work but I had Augustus cover for me so I can run home. I can't find my damn wallet!"

You both were so embarrassed and your faces were evidence of that

It's something you both laugh about now but at the moment, it was not so funny.

After throwing on a bath robe and twenty minutes of searching, you eventually found the wallet and Kathleen was ready to go

She wrapped her arms around you at the front door

"Well that was quite the experience. Wouldn't you say so, darling?"

The smirk on her face is evidence she's well over the incident

But you can't help but tease

"Don't act like you didn't like it." You loop your arms around her neck. "I seen the way that you looked at me without that towel on before we had a moment to process."

The way she purses her lips makes your heart pound from the residual anxiety

But she eventually kisses you on the lips

The kiss last a while and leaves you out of breath

But it's a nice farewell that leaves a smile on your face

She might show you how much she loves you later on a day off after a drink or two

It's the little moments like this that make your relationship special

Jenny

Like I've mentioned before, Jenny is very clingy to who she deems as "hers"

So when it comes to your relationship, she has no sense of privacy or space at times

You could be in the middle of taking a shower and all the sudden

"You know, this is my favorite outfit."

And there's Jenny with her head either peaking in the shower or standing in the shower with you

It's a bit annoying and it's caused a few arguments between the two of you but you won't let it ruin your relationship

So this her seeing you naked thing, is somewhat common

On the occasion you accidentally dropped the towel, you thought she was downstairs rehearsing for her next show

She had a tour planned for the following week around Europe so you figured mine as well you do something nice to her before she goes on the road

You purposely picked out nice clothes

Spread them out all nice on the bed

You stepped out of the shower

Dried yourself off

Dropped the towel and as you're midway through walking to the bedroom

"Darling, I'm-"

You freeze up

And Jenny just stared at you

You can see her cheeks turn red and muttered a small "I'm sorry."

But she isn't

And her face shows it

Her lips are hinting at a slight smile

Smugness gleaming in those piercing eyes

"Could you stop staring at me like that?"

"Like what?"

And she knows damn well how she's staring at you

Her eyes wandering all over the place

"Like you're hypnotized."

"Well if I'm hypnotized by you tell me, how do I fix it?"

I think we all know how this ends

Rebecca

Rebecca is a very non judgmental person and has a good sense of humor

She's not the type that would make a huge deal about accidentally seeing you naked after a shower

Especially if it was within a time frame you didn't expect her to be home

Because she does travel alot for work

She'd be a little embarrassed at first

"Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry!"

Her cheeks would be cherry red and immediately reaching out to hand you your towel

And she'd step out to give you a moment to get dressed

Trying to make small talk to get both your minds off the incident

But afterwards it doesn't cross either of your minds

She's back to her normal self, hanging all over you every second she can and snogging

If I already didn't want to hug Dinah, her reaction to this makes me want to hug her even more

Dinah is big on privacy

Even in your relationship, she likes to keep some things to herself

She will cuddle with you

She will kiss you

She will hug you

But she will not get undressed infront of you

And she absolutely would not want to see you naked

Under any circumstance

Her seeing you nude is something she is just not ready for

It's nothing against you

10 Great Opportunities the Showrunners of the Flash will Keep Missing Until Snowbarry Happens

There are many opportunities the writers of the Flash are missing by ignoring Snowbarry. These are 10 of them:

1. A Chance to be More Unique:

The biggest argument for the existence of WestAllen in the Flash TV show is that it happened in the comics. The writers of the Flash tv show have ignored the Comics from time to time so that they can provide a unique take on the tale of the scarlet speedster. This means the writers are not bound by what happens in the comics and can break away from following any plot line originally derived from there whenever they feel like doing so. Moreover, the sucess of Olicity shows that a non-canon pairing can be just as sucessful a canonical one especially when you have two actors that can provide the chemistry required to make a love story believable.

2. A Chance to Delve into Symbolism

Whenever Snowbarry becomes Flash and Frost, they can be represented by the symbols of the main manifestation of their powers.

In s01 we got this line:

It's time for the show to go back to using symbolism to express deeper meaning. WestAllen cannot be symbolised but Snowbarry/Flashfrost can and this will make watching the Flash more fun when Snowbarry's symbols keep popping up in different places.

The showrunners need to remember that Snowbarry's symbols can even be commercialised.

3. Merchandising

Flash and Frost have their own coffee but when Snowbarry happens they can have a combined coffee for the both of them and that would be so cool.

Flashfrost symbols can be used to decorate necklaces and rings.

They could even make T-Shirts and many other things that can be sold. All it takes is for WestAllen to be set aside and Snowbarry should have all the focus it deserves and it can even help with the ratings.

4. A Chance to Boost Ratings

Making Snowbarry the main couple will be a welcome change bc a lot of Flash fans hate Iris and are sick of all the drama she brings since it's clear that she has nothing more to offer the show other than crappy drama that most people skip bc its annoying. This season, the writers have been trying to make some changes to the tone of the show in order to attract more viewers but since they also decided to double down on WA, their plan is not as successful as they expected it to be. Very soon, the writers will stop listening to the small group of WA fans and start listening to the rest of the fandom and this will eventually lead to more Snowbarry scenes and we can finally get some answers as to why KF was so loyal to Savitar.

5. A Chance to Tie Up Loose Ends

When it comes to Snowbarry, a lot of things are unclear bc we got a lot of hints that they liked each other in s01 but the writers didnt want to go into any of that bc they suddenly felt it was time for us to get IncestAllen. Then s03 came along and we got 03×07 which had the most iconic Snowbarry scene which left us wandering whether Caitin wasn't over Barry and if it was possible that Barry was even aware of how deeply Caitlin cares about him. The issue of Caitlin kissing Everyman when she thought he was Barry has also been left unresolved. Barry and Caitlin have never even talked about it. There's also the fact that Barry calls Caitlin "Cait" and has been compared to Ronnie many times. All of these questions can be the addressed once the writers stop forcing WorstAllen down our throats and start focusing on the special bond that exists between Caitlin and Barry.

6. Expanding Snowbarry's Special Bond

Snowbarry has always had a special bond and it stems from how similar their lives are. Even in s04, their similarity is basically the main focus as we keep watching them trying to defeat their main villains. The special bond they have is very strong and it reflects in their ability to talk in sync, finish each others sentences and even move at the same time. It is quite impressive and so deep bc they can basically read each other's mind since they know each other so well. Its hard to believe they just met in the first season of the Flash. Their bond is beautiful and should be showcased for the world to see bc nothing about it is forced, it just comes naturally.

7. Flashfrost Improving Each Other's Powers

Flash and Frost should be fighting crime side by side as Flashfrost. Tbh, Barry should have been the one to train Caitlin on how to use her powers after 04×05, instead he spent all his time training Ralph Dibny. The sad thing is KF can help Barry use his powers in a new way and we won't get to see that until Snowbarry or Flashfrost happens.

Frost helping Flash is so remarkable bc it shows she can really help him with crime fighting instead of merely being his love interest.

8. A Chance For Barry to Get a Love Interest that isn't Just a Love Interest

Many people keep saying they liked Iris in s01 but I only liked Iris in s02 bc in that season, we got to see her at her job more often, she had a friend outside STAR Labs and most importantly, she wasn't a love interest for almost the whole season. Unfortunately, once she started dating Barry, she turned into the thing he had to save and she got so used to it that she even asked the villain to take her in 04×01. Even with all the pathetic attempts to make Iris seem like the leader of Team Flash, she's still nothing more than a useless love interest bc she can't do anything herself, she just gives orders and seats down. With or without her powers, Caitlin's presence is vital to Team Flash and 03×21 showed they wiĺl always need her. Once the writers are tired of forcing Iris' annoying storyline, they can bring Caitlin to the forefront and Snowbarry can outshine WestAllen without even trying bc they work well together and individually, the fate of the show rests in their hands.

9. Making the MVPs of the Show the Main Couple

Since s03, Barry and Caitlin's storylines have been the entertaining part of the Flash for many viewers. Even in s04, Barry and Caitlin still have the best storylines as Barry is now tasked with defeating the Thinker while Caitlin has to find a way to defeat Amunet. This is even the main focus of 04×09 and it just shows how much more interesting it will be if Caitlin and Barry had to face all of this as a couple. They're basically going through the same journey and so far, its been a bumpy ride that is always more interesting to watch than WA's therapy or wedding or whatever. Snowbarry always shines no matter how hard the writers try to repress it bc they are the true MVPs in the Flash and this is all thanks to Granielle.

10. Showing Granielle's Chemistry

Grant Gustin and Danielle Panabaker are real life besties. They provide the amazing chemistry that Snowbarry is well known for. Even some WA stans have admitted they like Barry and Caitlin's friendship and that's bc Granielle interacts well and it shows whenever Snowbarry interacts. I just don't know why anyone would want to ignore such chemistry.
