No idea if you're open to people outside of DSMP related, so be free to ignore this?
Anyways I'm an Introject of a sorta older mcyt, he's still around and pretty popular, doesn't do Minecraft super often anymore. Mostly games similar to among us and such.
I don't have the best source, I'm Introjected from a very specific time point (2016) in his career. And back then he didn't make the best jokes, idk if dropping the r slur multiple times is "dark humor" but ew. bad.
But the actual confession here? I still watch that old content, even though the people are bad and it needs to be forgotten. It brings me comfort, and it's my source, so I still watch it. And much of it makes me uncomfortable because of the slurs and jokes, but the rest is so nice to me.
Is it wrong to watch that old stuff? Uh probably. But I do it for my mental health, oddly enough.
Ramble over, sorry lol
(- Max/Mith)
this confession blog is for all mcyt not just the current big named ones, so you're fine don't worry !
i think a lot of people forget that you're allowed to enjoy something and still be critical of it and acknowledge its issues. these days fandom spaces, especially on twitter, have come off as "if you like X then you support/agree with everything even the bad" which isn't true! you can like something and enjoy aspects of it while still being critical and knowing it has a bad history. if this brings you comfort because it's your source, then it's okay. you recognize issues with it, you obviously don't think it's ok.
i'm unfamiliar with the source in question so i can't really speak on the topic too much, but it's not inherently bad to watch something that gives you comfort even if it has a bad history. if that was the case then there would be a lot more issues with medias people grew up with lol

one thing i just do not fucking get is the difference between "regulating emotions" and "suppressing emotions" i cannot get my head around how those are different. like if im sad and then i go "well im not going to be sad anymore" that's "dissociating" and "suppressing healthy emotions" but if im sad and im like "well im going to cry until i actually pass out" that's "not healthy" and it's BAD to suppress emotions but it's ALSO BAD to get super upset so WHAT IS THE SECRET THIRD THING cuz i do not fucking get it. "feel your feelings But not that way that's not healthy feel your feelings but less than that" ???????
#text#IT'S DRIVING ME UP A WALL IVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT FOR MOTNHS#LIKE????? is it like. like is this a me problem is this just me having feelings that are too big#like do other people just.. like for other people does 'feel your feelings' just mean like. feel sad for a while and then stop. cuz i cant#do that i dont get normal sad i get chest pain and think about killing my self for hours on end .is that the problem#like okay if i trip down the stairs and break my leg. im going to cry and go to the hospital. suppressing that would be just using my#broken leg anyway and ignoring it. would regulating it not also be Crying and going to the hospital. would regulating it be like.. putting#a bandaid on it or something is it like.. a middle ground . i do not fucking get it#like okay if i trip down the stairs and i scrape my knee and then i call an ambulance i see how thats not the right response . and i guess#regulating there would be like. calming down thinking things thru and choosing a less drastic solution like a bandaid. i get it#in that situation. but if ive ACTUALLY BROKEN MY LEG. then that would just be the first thing again essentially#but when i put that back into. real world not metaphor world. like. i dont get it again#because if theres not like. an obvious reason for however i feel how am i supposed to judge if im calling an ambulance for a scraped knee#ALSO I THOUGHT THERE 'ARENT ANY WRONG EMOTIONS' WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THAT -_-#okay no okay it's like. if i trip down the stairs and i skin my knee i dont have to call an ambulance. but if several times a day i fall d#down the stairs and skin my knee in that exact spot and now i can see bone. SHOULD I NOT CALL AN AMBULANCE?#cuz its not just one thing thats upsetting me most of the time it's a combination of a bunch of things and then like one extra upsetting#thing added on top of that. which would necessitate an ambulance. does this make sense#THIS IS GETTING ME NOWHERE IM STILL JUST AS CONFUSED AS I WAS BEFORE I STARTED TYPING. i need 2 remember 2 ask my therapist#what the fuck ''feel your feelings'' means and how it can coexist with ''regulating feelings'' or whatever cuz i feel like im missing smth#NIK OUT ! PEACE ! ✌️

canon
look when i say canon aint no thing i dont mean there isnt a shared. body of work from which we do interpretation, fanfic, fanart, whatnot.
what i mean is that text doesnt exist free from interpretation. these things didnt actually happen. art only exists insofar it is interpreted by subjects. is a author interview canon? that is a tricky question. authorial intent can inform our interpretation of media. but it doesn’t have to. so things that are extra textual can inform our interpretation and they also can not.
even limiting our selves to the things on the page, was that decision from set design an indication that the machine actually works this way, in a technical sense, or was it a limitation of budget, and is actually grander? or is it only symbolically that way, to evoke mystery, but doesnt mean future writers cant change it?
did an actor make a particular choice bc that is unchanging characteristic of the character? did they have a bad day, or was the scriptwriter that day wonky? and if they are part of the text are they valid?
i guess what im saying is that the audience is part of the general machine of understanding art. it isnt static. what brings you the most in depth understanding of the world, the most enjoyment, the most potential to tell more stories? i dont like the word canon bc it somehow mixes the idea of the text of the story and the interpretation of the story in a weird way so there can only be one.
I can tell you very clearly what the text is and what is extra textual, for sure. but i dont think that is the same as what people imply when they say canon… i feel what they mean when they say it is that only a strict literalist reading of the text is canon, and like… im not a fundamentalist in real life, why would i think that way about fun happy art?
because the implication is that if something is not canon it is just a headcanon… and like, no? that is the paradigm i think is not useful. there are things that are extra textual and subtextual that totally help in media interpretation. and contradictory things can coexist. but also, if they arent helpful then ignore them.

“hopper made me lie” in s3 “who told you that” in s4 (referencing el saying that he doesn’t love her) mike literally refuses to take accountability with his actions towards el EVER when it comes to their romantic relationship. he doesn’t apologize for lying, or take accountability for the fact that he can’t tell her he loves her. instead. he always tries to shift the blame onto another party, tries to externalize their issues instead of looking internally. gee i wonder why that is. is it maybe because if mike was to look internally he would realize that el is right and that he doesn’t love her romantically? and that would shatter this illusion of normalcy that he’s so desperate to maintain? both for himself and for the people observing him? hmmm
but when it comes to will, he ALWAYS goes out of his way to take accountability (see the rain apology in s3 and the will bedroom apology in s4) and to apologize and REFUSES to externalize their issues and instead reflects internally (ie, in the bedroom scene he refuses to let will internalize it/externalize it for mike by saying “i deserved it,” and then mike immediately shuts that shit down and talks about how he was being a total self-pitying idiot. just like how he, unprompted, talks about how he was being an asshole during the rain apology). when it comes to his issues with el, mike externalizes them because what matters most to him in his romantic relationship with el is maintaining appearances, trying to seem normal. just like in s3 where instead of just apologizing to el, he tries to get her something material, something that everyone can *see* as a token of apology, just like how the first time he says “i love you,” it’s in front of a group of people, because he is externalizing both the problems in their relationship and the “loving/good” parts of it in order to avoid confronting his own feelings + to continue trying to cling onto the shreds of normalcy in a life that’s been pulled apart with interdimensonal mosnters + mike’s own struggles with his feelings.  when it comes to his conflicts with will, though, mike internalizes them because what matters most to him is genuinely resolving the conflict. and the good/loving moments are private between the two of them, and not because mike’s trying to hide those moments, but because what he cares about most in those moments is how will feels/the bond between them, not about externalizing his relationship and maintaining appearances.  now i dont think that mike got into a relationship with el solely with the intent to seem “normal,” and to throw people off the idea of him being gay. rather, i think that being in a relationship with el genuinely made him feel more “normal,” but over time he became more focused on what other people thought about the relationship than about what el thought/felt or even what he thought/felt about it. mike cares about el’s feelings platonically but their romantic relationship gets in the way of him taking accountability and actually caring for her feelings because he’s too subconsciously fixated on trying to maintain that “normalcy”. this could also partially explain why during the dinner scene in s4, mike makes the “she didn’t look fine,” comment. part of him is trying to seem normal and the interaction is eerily similar to ted and karen: which is mike’s current blueprint for a “normal” relationship. and also, mike is so focused on having a “normal,” relationship and being “normal,” but also fixates on el’s powers, and her being a superhero. those two things can’t coexist. as long as mike continues to see her as a superhero, which he said as much in his big love monologue tm, mike and el cannot have a normal relationship. which means that mike is going to CONTINUE to try and force it to be normal + continue the conflict and hurt between them OR they’re going to break up. millie said herself that el wants normalcy. but normalcy is what’s not only tearing mike apart, especially internally, but also tearing their relationship apart. el can only have normalcy once she breaks up with mike. because not only does he see her as a superhero, but he’s so fixated on normalcy that the normalcy disappears because no normal person is that focused on being normal.  and they need to break up because they both deserve better than this. they both deserve a healthy, platonic bond with eachother where they can actually be open and honest about their feelings.

bro let me COOK rafe’s mommy issues are so interesting like he definitely seems like he really wants someone nurturing and who will take care of him and be soft with him when he needs it because he never had that in a mother figure bc if rose has thought there was something wrong with him since he was 10 she was definitely avoidant at best and outright cold at worst (and most realistically). i think the lack of that would probably turn into him seeking out a woman who fills that archetypal Mother energy but also kind of overcompensating with what he expects from a partner? (soft, feminine, demure etc etc)
and i think where wires get crossed for some people is like they see s2&3 rafe and he obviously feels this need to be in charge and in power he’s not calling you mommy in the bedroom or anything but that can coexist alongside him subconsciously seeking a sort of motherly figure/energy in his partner because men like rafe don’t view their mothers as equals to begin with. he still has the power
SPEAK TO THESE NIGGAS!!!!!
like rafe wants a woman who fulfills very specific qualities (which is why i always say he wants someone stereotypically feminine) because he likes the idea of someone who's super caring and nurturing being with him to compensate for that need of a mother
and ur right about men like him not respecting their mothers, and thats because their fathers dont so they pick up on that and extend it to their partners.
like he rlly is very nate jacobs coded which makes him surprisingly easy to manipulate in some respects like how maddy tricked him into thinking she was a virgin because she knows he values that and i think you could do rafe like that but you would have to completely erase your more dominant personality traits because he wants someone subservient much like his dad does

It’s funny how I keep coming back to The Heart of a Monster. I must’ve binge-read every page you’ve so far turned out, and I still can’t get enough of it!
Sonic and Shadow … I’m a Sonadow shipper, have been ever since I first saw Sonic X a long, long time ago, what really got me into the franchise. I always felt that the two had such an easy makings for a friendship between them, how even when they were enemies, there was just this … thing between them, something that I saw and had hoped to continue seeing the more the series had the two interact with each other. (Shadow’s death brutalized me until I saw him return later on.)
As I grew up, that thing I saw between them, what made me think they could have such an easy friendship, soon turned into seeing they had such a chemistry that they could easily become more than friends if given even a smidgen of chance.
Any interpretation however of the two together, positive mind you, made me happy. It didn’t matter whether they were being shipped romantically, platonically, however have you. So long as I could just find the two together.
So this series? Sonic Unleashed had always won a special place in my heart, and the song a place in my top favorites list, so seeing Shadow along for the wild ride that introduced the infamous Werehog form? Seeing your most recent page where Shadow is comforting Sonic, taking on the role Maria had in comforting him so long ago, and Sonic pulling Shadow into a hug? And that only being one moment of many in this series of yours that reminds me why I love seeing these two together?
Just … Thank you for giving me and everyone else who comes across The Heart of a Monster something special. Something to keep coming back to no matter how many times we’ve already gone through the comics.
Thank you for being you! ^w^
hi sorry for the late reply
one of the reasons i was putting this off for a bit was how you talked about "a chemistry that they could easily become more than friends"
it sounded wrong and i didn't find the words to describe it until now. treating romance as "more than friends" is kind of pretty harmful - not only to aromantic people, but everyone in general. it has this notion that friendship will always be lesser than romance. moreso it highlights how in society (influenced by romance genre entertainment) friendship and romance are often seen as seperate things that can't coexist for some reason? which is a reason many people go looking for romance outside of their best friends and instead meet strangers with the goal of finding romance??? or that if you start tading your best friend suddenly they're not your best friend anymore, but your romantic partner and that changes the way you're supposed to interact? that's bullshit i think. in real life at least, i dont care what kind of fantasies pursue in fiction- it's just really concerning how strongly it's treated as reality for children that end up internalizing this. i, for my part, have often felt like there was something wrong with me because i didn't partake in this dating culture and i didn't really feel any of the things i was told i would once i had a crush or a partner.. took me a long time to figure out i was aromantic bc i didn't know it was a thing i was allowed to be.
not trying to call you out here, but its more of an observation in how people/media talk about this topic and how it can affect us.
as for the rest of your ask... thank you so much im glad you enjoy this series!

heyyys hope this isnt an awkward ask but, since you like cami a very normal amount i presume, i thought i'd ask... do you maybe understand or have any interpretations or headcanons about cami and her shadow and how they manage to coexist in the same body together?
(e.g.: is cami always her shadow? do you think she see it and interact with it like fred? how come she has more control over it than other characters but still not enough? etc.)
overall just your personal thoughts about it just because i think that was never really explained in the show and i would love to see what someone who has such a complex and interesting understanding of her backstory thinks about it ! hope this isnt weird to ask hnhnfnfng
hey! not weird or awkward at all, i love getting asks! and thanks for the nice comments u///u
i put a read more just in case it's too long
like you said, cami's shadow wasn't explored a lot in the show, we only got two frames to be exact.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i'm going to call her shadow tat
i already talked about the first frame in the analysis: i think tat came out as a result of cami's realization that she's not alone, that eak and t-trap have been with her all along. tat was probably triggered by the uncommon influx of overwhelming emotions. her purporse seems to be to keep the body going as normal, since the only thing that we see of cami after this is a frame where she looks the same. we don't know if it's cami or tat in z3r0 but she's also acting the same.
about the second frame, it's interesting in the context of the song, because tat seems to be reaching for something while the lyrics talk about finding a way out. after the song, tat takes over the body, so maybe it was alluding to the way out of the shadow world. but, the frame also goes together with this one in an interesting way.
Tumblr media
this frame is actually supposed to go with the one of ttrap reaching for cami when they were kids, cami only reaching out now. but, it could go with both of them. cami is both reaching towards ttrap and tat. meaning, she wasn't taken over by her, but rather, she let tat take control. it may be alluding to cami letting her most repressed emotions take over again, accepting them. nevertheless, we know shadows are sentient beings, not just metaphors, so this leads me to think that:
1. even though cami was met with a pretty strong realization after eavesdropping eak and ttrap, she didn't want to actively change anything about her life. at least not yet.
2. cami and tat have at least met before for cami to willingly give her control. besides, they don't look even mildly surprised about what's happening. only on the second frame does tat look different and it doesnt strike me as surprised, but rather like she's just reaching hard.
which brings me to this question: how does cami have powers? a little out of nowhere, but bare with me.
cami and owynn have powers of some sort that are connected to the shadow world, they can make someone's shadow come out and cami can make someone into a mindless zombie.
we've seen that shadows have some sort of power. gold could turn people into mindless zombies (or maybe he was just retransmitting cami's power?), shadow fox had some sort of fire (or maybe he was the fire?) and fred was able to...explode...and make a group of people forget the last year of their lives.
in z3r0, we learn that when humans and shadows fuse, they gain powers that can debilitate shadows.
this makes me think that cami and owynn's powers are nothing more than their shadow's powers. i don't think its a fusion, since those powers seem to be specifically for debilitating shadows, the opposite of what owynn and cami do. in the case of cami, her powers may be just her shadow coming out, since we dont see her eyes very often. but im very sure that the one time owynn used his powers on that one piano, it was himself. so, there exists a way for a human to borrow their shadow's power. meaning, they have to have a relationahip with them in some way. do they make a deal? do they force them? i dont know. but based on the little we see of tat, it seems that at least her and cami are in good terms.
i don't think it's in the level of fred and freddy though, as i believe most shadows are confined to the shadow world unless they take over the human's body. fred is an exception, a very special boy. but i don't think it's necessary to have a ghost form in order to form a bond with a human. the villains seem to know quite a bit about the shadow world, so maybe they found a way to access it on command so they can regularly talk to their shadow and make sure they access its powers.
so, i think cami and tat are in good terms, and cami visits her regularly in the shadow world. whether it be for accessing her power or to talk about what tat has done outside with the power. since the powers are used to serve the villains, tat has to know about the plan and is on board with everything, and since cami has always been aware of what's happened regarding the plan, it means tat is always telling her what she's done (if she's the one using the powers). they really trust each other and are on the same page. at some point, they had an agreement that when cami has to deal with strong emotions, tat will go out. this may be so cami can escape the situation so she doesn't have to deal with her feelings, while tat keeps normalcy. also, so they can be a productive peon for owynn regardless of the situation. so, they have open communication and willingly give control of the body over to the other one, the frequency of this depending on if tat is responsible for all magic acts or if she only goes out on dire ocassions.
the fact that she has more control over her shadow than most characters may be because she simply has more of a relationship with her. or, perhaps the control she attempts to have over her own feelings manifests in a docile shadow, easily controlled. I don't think tat has the same cold personality as cami, but rather she pretends to. i think, in reality, she houses cami's deepest and most repressed feelings, and tat pretends that she doesnt have them so cami won't get mad at her. she does it and agrees on everything cami wants to do so she continues visiting her. even shadows can get lonely, especially in the black endless nothing of the shadow world.
uhh i think that's all i have. its mostly dumb theorizing. thanks for the ask!!! it was really fun to think about. i do like cami a very normal amount <3

seeing people talk about trizooka's current place in the meta on twitter is so interesting to me. people say its unreactable and it is, to an extent. people say others just need better reaction time, and thats also right. these two ideas can coexist in my opnion- because the problem is that this reaction time being needed to counter such an oppressive, powerful special is really unhealthy for the game from what i can see
for example, using a main weapon that you also need good reaction time to react to: with chargers, you constantly know theyre on the map. they usually take the same positions on maps, and thats easy to notice, especially after playing in the match for a bit. you know their field of vision and where theyre currently aiming if youre observant. you can take advantage of their positioning a lot of the time and go for them (if youre a slayer or midline). another key factor is that they cant hit anyone thats behind cover, so there's blind spots.
but with trizooka, you dont exactly know where it is most of the time. trizooka's usually up by the frontline, which has a lot more positions and opportunities for pushes. it can also be shot from further back which introduces a lot more positions to account for. and, since trizooka usually gets placed on frontline slayer weapons, with only one exception (tenta brella) so far, its easy for the user to switch between these positions. trizooka's shots are arched, meaning it can shoot over cover and hit people behind cover with well aimed shots.
sure, having better reaction time and personal positioning helps with avoiding getting hit by tri's shots, but keeping track of the trizooka user should not be this challenging, too. the only way you can watch for it is by noticing a change in the squid/octo icons at the top of the screen, which requires you to take your vision off of any current fights, and something that goes away as soon as the special is activated, which is usually in an instant. there's a chance you cant even follow the trizooka user's map positioning if they arent in your field of vision, which is what typically happens (especially when youre respawning).
this is bad enough, but the special being able to be stacked quite easily thanks to its main weapons working well with each other (squeezer, splattershot, machine) makes it so much worse. especially when both shooters here have minimal shot rng (shot spread, theyre going to be hitting most if not all of their shots on the opponent) and splattershot has good painting (able to just straight up farm for special i think. take that with a grain of salt though, im not sure).
now you have multiple frontlines taking multiple and usually different positions on the map that can pull out trizooka at a moments notice and fire almost immediately. this special needs more start-up lag and quick

one of my mutuals reblogged a really not okay post. (dont worry tober, it was not you). the post in question was by nativenews (btw screenshots are not a news source at all. do better). it claimed that Jews are not being discriminated against, in particular being accused of zionism for no reason other than being Jewish. this is not true. i can think of 5 Jewish blogs off the top of my head that are against zionism and still get called war criminals. most of them dont even live in israel.
@/spacelazarwolf in particular frequently gets death threats, especially since oct 7th. i have had to block over 100 people on leftist tags comparing Jews to hitler. do you not see a problem with this? israel is commiting genocide, but so is america. america provides the weapons. no one calls americans nazis for this. why is it only acceptable to call Jews nazis? largely because of nixon and kissinger, america has killed far more people than israel.
israel has nowhere near the power america has. if america wanted a ceasefire, there would be a ceasefire.
i have seen so many people say "jews are just as bad as nazis"
do you not hear yourselves?
it would be fucking crazy if i said queer people are just as bad as reagans supporters.
israeli citizens are people. they do NOT deserve to die. as a rule, citizens are victims of their goverment. this goes for america, russia, china, north korea, AND israel. goverments are bad. we know this. citizens deserve freedom. that goes for ALL citizens.
people should be allowed to live in their indigenous land. peace is possible. more than one culture can live in the same land.
you know who else said only one culture should be allowed to live in one place?
henry kissinger.
Arab culture and Jewish culture can coexist. no one needs to die. we just need to abolish goverments. palestine will not be free until israel has no goverment to opress, which in turn will not happen as long as america has a goverment. no goverment does not mean no culture. it does not mean chaos. it does not mean no organization.
it does mean no goverment to control. its does mean people will have equal power in society.
palestine has a Jewish population too. should they die? israel kills them too. israel does not care about its people any more than america does.
this whole thing reminds me of people who think all southerners are kkk or something.
i dont want to have to block my mutuals.

Can we have some Salem facts? I Adore them
- He's a manlet! (at least compared to Belos) Like, pretty much around Hunter's height, just a few centimeters taller or so, like this drawing shows. So like, about 1,65/5'4"
Tumblr media
(still taller than me, though fjsjdnfnd)
- They're also pretty religious, which is a reason why they like going to the Knee, since its a very important place for witches to connect with the Titan. Which is another point of identity crisis and etc when he discovers that Belos might be lying about a lot
- I based his scars on Dell's, or at least the lineless ones. Those are all Belos related. I do actually have a post queued for either today or tomorrow that explains most of the ones he has on his arms.
He also doesnt really dwell or feel bad about his scars, at most theres just some annoyance about their hand tremors but even then they are managing it okay-ish
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- I have songs and colors that I associate with my GGs and on Salem's case it's Honey I'm Home by Ghost and their theme color is white/very light grey
- They're very blunt and go on a bunch of thought tangents, which makes it fun to write from their pov. But theyre not very introspective and doesnt question much if they dont have a reason to.
- The way I see his not that great behaviour is cruelty and indifference for the ones he's harming most of the time, and distancing himself from the actual harm he's doing. i didn't want to make them very over the top cartoonish evil or anything very quick to spot.
He's cruel in the way people who seem nice are, hidden and excused by well meaning pretendes, which is quite hard to illustrate, i don't actually draw much exploration of them in their own little story besides near their death because of it and also because contrary to Cain, Salem doesnt really have anyone for me to work him with besides Belos and like, random scouts. And i also haven't drawn much of that because Im still figuring out what exactly he has done.
This is all very rough still. A lot can change
(they do believe they are doing the right thing but that also coexists with them not feeling much remorse when they are intentionally and knowingly cruel)
- Ironically they are very squeamish about death and etc. Kind of a Robespierre kind of deal, if I am getting things right about that. Executing this from a distance for most of the time. I have been wondering if they would have a nickname like The Golden Fist or something like that.
-Maybe if he lived longer he would have had a big change of heart and stop being so blindly obedient and would try to help people instead of hurting them. That would have him killed too though. Just later than when it actually happened.
- He was one of Belos' favorite grimwalkers, so much so that he is actually on the GG mind graveyard, which was where i took inspiration for their hair when it isnt in a bun
Tumblr media
- As far as how close they look to Caleb, theyre actually like, third in closest resemblance. In second place theres Orien and then in first its Hunter.
- His whole story and not so great personality were not actually with him from the start. When i made them, they were basically just a design and name, and slowly i added them discovering about grimwalkers being what ends up making them "betray" Belos, and they were actually nice, but i had been looking at some posts about how not all grimwalkers must have been nice people and I wanted to make at least one of mine like that and they were the most interesting one for me to do that.
Him not being nice was decided after i made that whole sheet/reference post about the basics about him.
I didn't think id have much to say about them but apparently i do gjdjfjf. I know that i draw him a lot but its usually just mindless sitties or outfit drawings, not really exploring his character like I do with Cain. Hope you liked these Salem facts!

Super cool that you're adding more variety to the monsters!! Makes me wonder if, during times with less available food, the bigger "boss" monsters would ever try luring the younger/smaller/less experienced monsters to eat them?
Depending on how "sentient" the monsters are too it mayyyyyyyyyyy be possible for a especially vengeful-against-humans object-head to team up with a monster to help lure in more food? Object head can promise food and bring the people into the monster's trap.
I am cradling this universe in my hands it is so fascinating also I just read the wire frame mother post and leakrgmlakermg depending on how much impact the object head has over the humanoid form there could be object heads that feel similar. Having a close bond but knowing that there's a barrier in communication and ability to comfort. that post hits harddd
OK OK OK SOOOO THE THING ABOUT THAT IS!!! I've already kind of upgraded the eyeball creatures from "Typical Animalistic Horror Beast" to "Fully Sapient Creatures" AND THAT comes with some interesting questions like WHY are they doing what they're doing AMONG OTHER THINGS. Which I (mostly) have answers for but will get to later.
The idea of bigger monsters eating smaller ones WOULD be really cool if I hadn't already decided that the eyeball creatures are fully sapient and have multiple different cultures/societies.
for example: some of the monsters think its more humane to integrate themselves into humans societies as gods/build cults around themselves for humans to worship and sacrifice themselves to. While others dont really consider humans intelligent enough/high enough beings to warrant such forethought and just prefer to hunt them whenever they want. Some of the monsters think they're inherently superior, some just think of humans as food and a respected part of the ecosystem, and some actively recognize humans intelligence and want to find a better way to coexist with them (though that third group is kind of a minority rn)
anyway, I was imagining these creatures dont eat object heads because they taste really gross or something. so object heads that aren't sought after to be USED can often become important figures in societies/camps because humans know that they're not bothered by the eyeball creatures.
BUT. another thing I was thinking of was basically,, what if a few of these eyeball creatures were "nice"? or at least not actively hunting humans? What if a few of them were even FRIENDS with humans/object heads?
SO UHHH here's one symbiotic duo!

Ezra and "Pet"!
Ezra is a human guy who was dying in the forest, bleeding out on the ground, when he was found by Pet! Pet is an eyeball creature who's been ostracized by most of the other eyes because its lesions grew on its neck instead of its sides. This deformity/genetic disorder causes Pet constant pain and irritation and makes hunting/luring humans harder for Pet. Basically, Pet deals with chronic pain and often can't feed itself.
SO for context: The way that these eyeballs eat humans is by fully absorbing peoples energy/life via their tail eye stalks. In doing so, they absorb the bodies, once connected to the corpses they puppet around the dead bodies to trick other humans into coming close. Despite their size and off-putting look they aren't actually that physically strong and it isn't impossible to kill one. There are a lot of them though, and they're very good at absorbing you once you get close enough to actually hurt them.
SO with that context, here's what happens next: Pet begins absorbing Ezra, but in doing so opens up a channel, and makes Ezra a deal. Ezra is clearly dying and wouldn't survive even if Pet left him alone. and Pet might get a meal out of Ezra, but it will likely die soon as well since it hasn't been able to hunt on its own for a long time. But if Ezra promises to help Pet find food, then Pet will sustain Ezra via an eyeball stalk. So they're effectively in a symbiotic relationship.
Ezra helps Pet trap a few people but after the first few he can't do it and says he'd rather die, so they start experimenting with other things and actually find that Pet can live off of animals too! with a few big caveats.
Animals taste awful
Animals make Pet a little bit sick
Pet has to eat a TON of animals constantly as apposed to eating a human every now and then.
its not an ideal situation for Pet, but it's better than dying. and being with Ezra is way better than being alone.
also, "Pet" isn't the creatures real name, it's more like a nickname Ezra gives it. None of the human/object head characters can pronounce or even fully comprehend Pets real name.
ANYWHO. there's definitely going to be more monster/human/object head team ups but this is the first one I thought of :)

Thoughts on yugi tsukasa? :0
hi Anon :)
I LOVE Tsukasa as a character!! and I feel like he's so misunderstood and taken wrongly :( although he IS very messed up, but not exactly in the way people see him. and the fake Tsukasa real Tsukasa thing is confusing when I hear people talk about it or get it wrong
because BOTH of them coexist in the same being so there isn't no "there was never a fake Tsukasa" deal or a the real Tsukasa was replaced forever. because they both went back because the demon and baby Tsukasa said so lmao anyways
the way Tsukasa grew up is really interesting now that we have more insight on Tsukasa's childhood. because the way he acts now, makes sense and then doesn't at the same time if that makes sense, but at least we can see how much he really does care for his brother
because MAN does Tsukasa try to help and do things for Hanako sm
EVEN THE WHOLE NENE LIFESPAN ORDEAL WAS SET IN MOTION BY TSUKASA THAT HELPS HANAKO. he started rumors, so Hanako had an excuse to get an assistant and remove Yorishiros. now I'm not entirely sure what Hanako's plan was before he got attached to Nene but we'll have to wait and see
but anywho Tsukasa is inturn helping him and I think the way Tsukasa acts with Sakura is sweet.
Tumblr media
look, he doesn't threaten her, clearly but nonetheless of course Sakura is wary of the Demon and not too mention she's contracted to him so ofc she does what he asks. but no matter this they are pleasent too each other and from the newer chapters it's so clear that Tsukasa is VERY insistent on granting wishes and helping people. there was a theory by @ hanathoughts I believe? (I'm not going to @ them but they're my favorite theorist too read💘) that Tsukasa's ultimate plan was to grant Hanako's wish and how the world Shijima made was made for Hanako by Tsukasa. so I do believe Tsukasa is ultimately trying to help his brother and my mans Tsukasa is so sweet TwT (MOST OF THE TIME) and is even described by Sakura as an innocent child or sweet. AIDAIRO WOULDN'T PUT THAT IN THERE FOR NO REASON OKAY??? anyways yes I don't believe that Tsukasa abused Hanako. I'm not sure WHO, but Tsukasa has been shown to have a SEVERE disliking towards picking on the weak. I really like his interaction with Hanako despite not having much of an idea about what else we're missing, because we know Hanako's reactions are 95% guilt but what about the rest of the tension??? idk anyways I don't think Tsukasa meant anything about abusing him when he makes comments. and the recent chapter where he came to lead Hanako too destroy the seven mysteries and sent Sakura too Nene, those were very interesting moves. but Tsukasa is so smart and observant!! like with his paintings and how this all seems to be some kind of plan. and it's seems we finally got an answer for the blotted out speach bubble!!
Tumblr media
with the entire plot played out I'm painting on the wall that means that this was his plan too grant Sakura's wish!!
Tumblr media
we can see the train and the circle above must be the boundary breaking?(or let's be real maybe a well or something idk) but I think we all know what the long headed teathed thing is....
it HAS too be number six, that must be his skull sense the other characters (except most likely Tsukasa and Sakura) don't know much about Hakubo/death then the skull mask would be a key factor to him. that's what Nene even remembers him by. and I think we all know what he's eating.... which is part of his plan too destroy the Yorishiros LOOK GUYS PLS DONT MAKE ME SOUND CRAZY BUT TSUKASA IS SO WTF
ANYWAYS I THINK TSUKASA IS AMAZING
and I know Tsukasa isn't all sunshine and rainbows... MAN is Tsukasa dark??? as innocent as he is he's still a supernatural!! and I'm guessing (althou it's messy) that when his eyes are black it's the demon and when we see Tsukasa grant wishes we've seen his eyes MOST OFTEN dark. but that's not always the case so Tsukasa himself not just the red house helps granting with wishes. isn't that so interesting? but I have too wonder when the demon can interfere with him when Tsukasa is in control. because it seems the red House demon (or whatever demon, the well demon the heart demon or possibly a God of some sorts) it has no real body, no form to act in. so it goes with Tsukasa. and it seems both the demon and Tsukasa can coexist. and it's so interesting that baby Tsukasa already knew and was able too go back?? and the heart demon seemed a bit.... off? like he was uncomfortable or didn't know with the fact Tsukasa could just go back, considering it was enough to even add a silent speach bubble! this lore just keeps twisting and bending itself jeez...
I know everyone thinks this..
but it is such an interesting detail that Tsukasa makes wishes from the heart and that the demon resides in his chest!! if he's tainted by a demon in the heart what does that do too him? so interesting..
but I think him granting Sakura's wish is such an interesting part too the plot and it's clearly dragging a lot of things ugugisbsjdb gosh this manga....it may be super messy at times but boy can I not get enough of it
ahhh I'm done rambling I swear!! well Anon, I really like Tsukasa I think he is such a character that is pulling the story in two. Tsukasa is so interesting and I hope too get more on him!! I made another post on the red house arc too if you're interested in that (UNLESS YOU'RE THE SAME ANON👻 jk I just find it funny how many Anons could possibly be the same one[IT WAS AN ANON THAT ASKED ABOUT THE RED HOUSE ARC RIGHT???I ALWAYS DEFAULT TO ANON SOBS/]) anyways I hope this was an okey response I kinda went off on his lore but I just like his character okay??
anyways ty for the ask!!🌸

Ah no worries then! I'm a much different time zone, Pacific! :) also rip other anons but I'm worthier of menalez😌🙏 and also there's definitely debate about how "Jewishness" is like, identified by various ppl - this person in specific I think I remember saying some things about how they represent Judaism (religion and culture) which were really odd, but maybe it's that they are a usamerican? Anyways, just because someone is my psychic nemesis of the day it doesn't mean they are known to all lol
Oh so like I was thinking about in general is about the different ways that people have approached the current state, and the collapse of the option of a two state solution (which while historically maybe could have worked when originally offered, at this point I don't think it really could function). I know that people disagree with Edward Said's analysis, but I feel like it is the one most logically following - as while people claim that Israelis and Palestinians are not intertwined, they really are geopolitically and are ever aware of their shared social positioning. I don't think two states are feasible to be accepted at this point, especially as militarily it's just going to be going from extremely volatile neighbors to being extremely volatile neighbors. How do you think?
Aside though as I did take a long scroll through your recent blogs, I think you said something along the lines of repatriation of land to Palestinians and "Palestinian Jews" - I am not so sure how you mean by the latter? As diaspora Jewish groups return to the region at various points depending on the local political climate, which was often turning hostile. I am not really sure how we distinguish that from Jewish groups in general... For example, we see establishment of some number of Sephardic/Russian/Bukhari communities in the 1800s, but then many are kicked out early in the 1900s - like I'm not sure if that's the kinds of community you mean? Like I'm not really understanding where you make the cutoff for what is a Palestinian Jew? Like the communities in the area pre 1948 I don't think were that markedly different than those post 48 (of course, just in much larger numbers and changes in ratios of certain communities moving)
hm i have no idea what her life is so for all i know maybe she was raised with jewish traditions etc so i can understand if she feels like her cultural and religious upbringing reflected that even if shes american (plus in many parts of the US, theres massive jewish communities that are quite tight-knit but i dont think that applies to her)
i shared a post yesterday about the two-state solution which i think generally summarises my views. i just do not believe that the two-state solution is going to be fair to palestinians and i think it ultimately would serve israel more than anything. im in support of there being a singular, joined state, but that would also need a lot of work after decades of resentment built up (which, i believe palestinians' resentment is very much understandable but.. i dont think a state could be built when there is resentment between the groups) so im not sure how it should be approached but there should be work done to build bridges between the two groups, starting with ending the dehumanisation of palestinians and making them more self-sufficient and allowing them to build up a state instead of sabotaging them at every turn the way the israeli govt has been doing.
as for palestinian jewish ppl-- i am not referring to a specific genetic makeup. i am referring to jewish people who were already in palestine through peaceful means and coexisted with non-jewish palestinians in palestine.
here is what palestinians said in 1947:
The Palestinian National Charter, as amended by the PLO's Palestinian National Council in July 1968, defined Palestinians as "those Arab nationals who, until 1947, normally resided in Palestine regardless of whether they were evicted from it or stayed there. Anyone born, after that date, of a Palestinian father—whether in Palestine or outside it—is also a Palestinian. The Jews who had normally resided in Palestine until the beginning of the Zionist invasion will be considered Palestinians."
when palestine was under the ottoman empire, thousands of jewish people lived on the land and were around 5-7% of the population. they were palestinian jewish people too.
at the end of the day, there were jewish people in palestine long before the state of israel was established. there were jewish people who lived in palestine among their christian and muslim neighbours and they did not do so through violent or colonial means, they were citizens of the country like anyone else and have equal right to that country.
you can also read this which shows that jewish people were recognised by anti-zionist palestinians in 1919 as equally palestinian:
https://web.archive.org/web/20070928031156/http://www.jerusalemquarterly.org/pdfs/predicament.pdf
they were referred to as "arab jews" or "palestinian jews". it was not about their genetic origins, to my knowledge. hopefully that clarifies what i mean!

what are your fave mobile games??
to be honest i don't really play that many at the same time but ill talk historically, it makes the most sense anyway. btw this got really long
OG show by rock - one of the most fun mobage rhythm games EVER, the portait orientation 3 button setup looked deceptively easy but it has some of the most evil, vile beatmaps ive ever seen in a mobile game. AND THAT'S CRAZY!!! never gonna forgive sanrio for killing it and making its successor a shitty bandori clone (og sb69 was bound to die anyway bc it had insane rarity creep, but the cheap seeming bandori clone successor that didn't even have half the original bands at the time of EoS two years into launch was a huge slap to the face). the art in the cards was so much more charming than the ones in the new game, they weren't bad but you, me, her, he, them, everyone, we all KNOW what had more soul. i think the only thing the new game had over the old one is the interactive aspect via the homescreen live2d. also cause yasu was in it
fate/grand order - still my forever game, its a game where i dont feel pressure to do anything, you can use anyone you love. i can stop playing for weeks and come back and not feel an insane sense of FOMO which is an issue with a lot of newer mobage. i think a lot of people outsource their opinion on fgo exclusively from negative opinions which makes me kinda sad. the story is great, you can pick up the game at any time, and to those who find that kind of thing important: farming gems is easy. i say give it a shot yourself. ofc there are questionable things given the original source and its origins, not to mention the premise. but i do believe that despite its flaws i think people should reevaluate it fairly and not base it on the time they downloaded NA for 10 minutes and didn't roll an ssr right away after 20 rolls.
mahoutsukai no yakusoku - i'll be honest i have chosen not to play the game properly until an english version comes out bc i do not want to play a clicker in a language i am not very proficient in. HOWEVER. unironically one of the best stories i've read in mobage history, characters are great, i think it has wide appeal and the devs seem to understand that "joseimuke" paradoxically is something that can be enjoyed by all kinds of people (also it is a series that is kind to both fujoshi and yumejoshi. coexisting peacefully afaik). super recommend the story if you like magic, worldbuilding and interesting characters!!! bunta is a great writer. im a fan of idolish7 as well so i can vouch (also you can select your protag's gender which isn't crazy but in a game like this, i super appreciate it)
#compass - horrible game don't play this
love live school idol festival - i want you idol twitter and adjacent cunts to put respect to her name. RESPECT. SIF has never gotten her flowers from any of you facetious little slimeballs and you can deny it all you want but not only was this the blueprint but it also was probably what got you into the things you like in the first place. in a world where every other rhythm game is a bandori clone, i smile knowing SIF2 will keep the spirit of SIF alive (hopefully). the cards were cute, mu's discography is certified classic and anyone denying it in 2023 hates fun, and despite how archaic it was and its MANY flaws, i believe firmly that it deserves respect not only as an idol game but as a mobage in general. it really broke ground being localized when it was.
nikke - definitely top 10 most shocking things of the century that i played this and am still playing. its uh, very flawed, the wall sucks and once you hit that plateau in power level the struggle to catch up to content power walls is kinda depressing, but it has a lot of heart that keeps me logging in and talking to my girls. it's still unabashedly horny (though its a trick actually, a lot of the characters are more covered up than expected and it REALLY pisses a lot of the game's fanbase off), but i'm really enjoying the story. i think my pleasant surprise is so insanely high that it deserves a spot on here-- i think if you let it cook it mostly won't disappoint you. i love most of the characters :) korean kamige
argonavis AAside - i miss you. argonavis still lives, so i do not mourn what is living, but dabues was a special little game because it did not contain the evils of bandori. the gacha was fair, the spark ceiling was 100 rolls(!), but it was mismanaged from the start, fuck dena. im sad the new game will be a clicker but i will be there for argonavis no matter what. was pretty much what garupa should strive to be in terms of A GAME but unfortunately such days do not come to pass.
honorable mention cause its EOSing soon probably and im too bitter to talk about it positively rn given the current shitshow the jp version is in (ily global): vanguard zero, also megido72 because i only started playing it in december but im enjoying it a lot so far. i guess dream!ing also gets a mention. i will not elaborate
this is a postscript but i've played a lot of kusoge for tapjoy rewards and let me tell you. people playing regular well known japanese/korean/chinese mobage do not know the shit and crap that comes from the dregs of the play/app store. you do not know what a kusoge is until you've grinded earnestly and faithfully in shit like state of survival for an entire month. after those experiences i have Truly learned what it means to be a shit game

Okay, so ... I don't feel too confident writing an f/o letter for you since I don't really know Oswald and I'm not too confident in writing Guzma, but I can try to think of something to help distract you!
Uhm ... tbh the only think I'm really thinking about is my own AUs, but that got me thinking--I'm pretty unfamiliar with your vampire AU, so what's it about? Like, does it stay set within the source's canon with just the vampire tweak? Or do you have some of your own unique lore for it?
If you don't feel like answering those questions right now, that's alright!! I'm just curious.
As for my own AUs ... the Pokémon one is basically living in my head given I've been playing Scarlet all day. I'm really happy that it's not as buggy as the videos made it out to be--there's certainly SOME visual things, but nothing gamebreaking. Aside from the one time it crashed, but eh.
I'm just thinking about the Pokémon Eva and Roland would have! Still trying to settle which types they primarily use, and I'm thinking Eva's grass/normal/fairy rotation is pretty solid. It's just Roland giving me trouble, now--I love him having dark and dragon types, but also steel and rock? But the new Tauros is fighting, so that just throws something else into the mix. Maybe he's just that diverse in his team building.
Anyway, I know this got a bit long ... but I really hope this helps you feel even a little better!! I'm sorry I couldn't write a letter ... I just don't want to write your f/os out of character.
~ librarian-lover 📖
ahh thats totally ok!! i appreciate the thought and the ask :]
OKOK vampire au is probably the au i have with the most thought out world building, though it still isnt much LOL just bc its not set in typical canon got.ham.
so the basis of this au is the entirety of got.ham is ruled by vampires, and there's multiple who have claimed their own districts to run. most of the ones in charge keep some humans as like. pets. i dont have a better word for it LOL but they still coexist.
the pax penguina is like a blood drive slash draft where every month a number of healthy adults are randomly chosen to give blood, so they're not like hunted on the streets for food. umm. i kinda stole some of this from an Adult Vampire Webtoon so. if anyone knows it just pretend this doesnt sound familiar ok.
anyway ryan is just Some Guy who gets involved with the wrong people and eventually gets captured by oswald who turns him into his pet, tho as they become closer he starts treating ryan more as his equal and then gay stuff happens etc etc
AND OOOOOH P.OKEMON AU... love that. ive tried to come up with one but i got nothing. i need all my aus to have lore i cant just slap mattwald into the universe i need a story </3 and ohhh assigning p.okemon is so hard theres just so many of them... i have trouble assigning p.okemon to my own s/is in universe LMAO
im glad ur enjoying scarlet!! i dont have either of them and idk if i will end up gettng them but i might watch some videos eventually!! it seems fun :]

hi coda sorry for sending an ask abt this but i like talking its like a socratic seminar i think if someone really really resonates with your art and respects it and enjoys it they will not take your character to be a cruel person. basically if someone does have that reading the objective truth is theyre not picking up what youre putting down and while its good to tune into these things in the sense that you can adjust accordingly i think more often than not if a character gets misinterpreted its not a result of poor writing/communication but rather a lack of experience or resonance with the person viewing them. which the author has basically no control over. the best you can do is be earnest and place beacons and people who get it will see it and people who dont wont. its a scary reflection of how real life functions but i think that makes it a little more special doesnt it . anyway i keep thinking abt flowey and chara
hello clyde its ok hi : ) yea its true that there will always be someone who doesnt really connect with what you're trying to say... i really wish i had the confidence to be like , Ok what i'm trying to say isn't even really the point here though. my biggest wish is to be confident enough in what i'm making to let my own intentions coexist separate from how they're recieved, and allow the discrepancy to exist and find beauty in that... but that's a hard thing, because you obviously want them to be as close to eachother as you can possibly get them...but like you said, so much of that relies on the life that the person who is recieving the art has lived and the way they choose to interface with the thing...its hard to accept that it's mostly out of your control. the artist realyl honeslty does so little of the legwork in the relationship i think.... i said this earlier but i try to have an attitude of like, no matter how they take it, if this can mean something to somebody then that's all i could ever ask for, if the emotional weight it has to me lands with someone else, that's all i could ask for, even if its a completley different kind of emotional weight. even if 5 other people look at it and it doesnt land, if it lands even once, then you won.
i think about flowey and chara a lot too toby fox reads as an example of a kind of person who is really confident about this type of thing....For a guy who has made a game so widely played that its inevitably going to be one of the most misinterpreted things in the world just by nature of how many people are trying to interpret it , he seems pretty at peace with that...that kind of earnesty and acceptance is where i'd like to get. thank sfor the socratic seminar ask hope youre well today
