A Spicy Kind of Lepacy - by bobapplesimblr

This lepacy is heavily inspired by legacy challenges like Not So Berry and, obviously, other Lepacies. It is also written with the idea that you have all the packs(maybe except Batuu and My first pet).

Game packs and stuff packs will be added as optional generations in a different post OR a reblog attaching those rules to this post sometime later.

You are allowed to use premade save files and mods in this challenge :D I trust that you won't cheat too much.

Important Notes:

If you have mods that let you have different levels of fertility for your sims you may adopt the heir or have a surrogate/artificial insemination.

If you have mods that give your game deadly diseases or more sudden kinds of deaths and you’re scared you’ll lose the heir of some generations you may have precautionary extra heirs.

You may use custom traits, and custom careers in the generations that don’t have a specific career attached to them, but it is recommended that they still fit the theme of the generation.

The relationships can go however you’d like them to go. They can be monogamous or polyamorous, however you see fit. Spouses can hate each other even if it isn’t specified in the generation rules, siblings can hate each other, and you can have as many partners as you want your sim to have before finding a sim to spend the rest of their lives with. Or you could have a single parent! A lot of generations mention meeting your spouse at a certain location or a certain way, but you can totally divorce them later even if it’s not stated in the rules.

Generation 1 - Basegame

(Optional color: Green, like the plumbob)

You just moved into a new town and you can't wait to meet all of your new neighbors! Your house is small, but that's fine, who doesn't like a bit of patchwork construction am I right?

Aspiration: Successful Lineage or Big Happy Family (If you have Parenthood you can also do Super Parent)

Career:

With Get Famous:

Career Hop every time you get the new career call BUT ONLY if it is a basegame career.

Without Get Famous:

Career Hop manually and level up at least once in the career before changing it.

Skills: Max any 5 basegame skills

Goals:

Live in Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, or Newcrest. If you choose Newcrest it is advised that you at least add one other family into the world to be neighbors with.

Accept the welcome wagon and meet all of your neighbors and become friends with ALL of them.

Steal a neighbor's spouse.

Go through every basegame career before choosing one to stick with for the rest of the generation.

Start with a starter home but every time you need to expand you must add a room or story to the house in the style of the houses from "What Remains of Edith Finch" and "Hello Neighbor". Pictures bellow.

Have 3 similarly aged children, either triplets or just conceived one right after the other. These children can be had before or after marrying the stolen spouse.

In your old age buy a big new house, or move into an existing big house, with the money you've made over the years. **This will be the house that generations without worlds will live in**

Generation 2 - Get to Work

(Colors: Teal and Brown, because they remind me of the careers)

Your house was not very stable, literally, but your family and the neighbors were always kind. Well, except for that *one* neighbor, but you never knew why. Nevertheless you and your siblings had the choice to move out or stay in your family's big house once you all turned 18 and were ready to get jobs. All three of you. At once.

Aspiration: Random for each sim or personally picked based on personality

Career: Doctor, Detective, Scientist

Skills: Max Baking skill

Goals:

Play with the 3 children of the previous generation, unless one or more have died before the start of this generation.

Each sim must be in an active career, preferably different ones but you could totally play with 3 mad scientists.

Either stay in the basegame world or move to Magnolia Promenade. Your choice, you can also have a fake live-in business if any of your sims get demoted(see goal 5)

Have at least 1 sim max the career, or get as close to it as possible. Just choose one sim to put in the extra effort.

If one or more of your sims gets demoted in their career, they must quit their job and buy a retail store. You can choose what they sell there based on the sim's personality and your personal storyline!

Own a cupcake machine (there are mods that make it smaller and they are perfectly fine to use)

When the time comes to make the next heir you must use these rules to choose who the parent will be. The parent has to be either:

The sim with the highest career level

The sim with the highest baking skill

The sim that still has a job OR the last one to lose their job (if one, or more, or all, get demoted)

Generation 3 - Get Together

(Color: Grey and Beige, like the ruins' stones)

Your parents worked until they dropped, leaving you to your own devices when you were a teen. They weren't neglectful by any means, they were just too tired to notice you had sneaked out to party!

(You may start this generation in the teen life stage if you are done with the previous generation's goals.)

Aspiration: Party Animal or Leader of the Pack

Career: DJ(make money off tips) and any musical instrument if more tips are needed.

Skills: Max DJ, Dance, and mixology skills.

Goals:

Accept every get together specific party invite even as a teen.

Move to Windenburg as a Young Adult and start your journey to becoming a professional freelance DJ/musician.

Frequently go to nightclubs, pools and cafés, and meet the love of your life in either of those places

Marry young and have a child while still in the Young Adult stage, even if it's right before your sim is meant to age up. (ALTERNATIVE: Have a teenage pregnancy but don't let that stop you from going out to party whenever).

Have a falling out with your spouse and divorce them (You can choose the reason why this is happening in your storyline), only to get back with them near the end of the Elder lifestage.

Always have a youthful and rave-adjacent style of dressing, even in the later years.

Optional: Live in a tiny home, if you have the pack needed for it.

Generation 4 - City Living

(Colors: Blue and/or Red)

Your parents weren't very present in your life, one was always at clubs and the other left for years with no contact. This made you independent and curious, so as soon as you could you moved out to explore the big city!

Aspiration: City Native or Fabulously Wealthy (because you likely never had much as a child, so now you want to have it all)

Career: Internet Personality

Skills: Max cooking and singing skill, or at least have it as a hobby.

Goals:

Teen Optional: Have a part time job during your teen years. If you'd like you could get a banking mod to be able to keep money in your inventory instead of the household funds, like your sim is setting their earnings aside.

Move to San Myshuno the moment you turn into a young adult.

Join the Social Media career when you start to run out of money(if you haven't already from moving to the city)

Go to every festival as often as possible. If a festival doesn't align with your other gameplay/storytelling plans that's okay, you can skip a few festivals.

Try to learn every city recipe and cook the ones you know at least once.

Marry a politician, if possible. If no politician is already available you can marry a sim you like but change their career to politician.

Visit your family whenever you have the free time to do so, but don't attend your parents' second wedding. (This could be a fun storytelling point to explore)

Generation 5 - Cats and Dogs

(Colors: Orange and Light Brown)

You've always wanted to have pets in your childhood and teenhood, but your landlords never let you. So you said screw them and left to live in a place that let you have your pet paradise at home!

Aspiration: Friend of the Animals

Career: Either a boring-sounding job like Business OR join the Vet career. Being a Vet isn't mandatory but it is the career that came with the pack. You can also get a mod that makes the career into a rabbit hole career like most others.

Skills: If you join the Vet career you must Max the veterinarian skill. Max Pet Training and fitness skills

Goals:

Move to Brindleton Bay whenever you finish the previous generation, it doesn't have to be right as you turn into a Young Adult.

Adopt strays instead of using the regular adopting system. If you play with a very particular style of sims where the pets must look a certain way you may make them in cas HOWEVER you must cheat the relationship down to 0 and work up from there like if the pet was a stray.

Cook pet recipes at least once a week, or whenever you remember.

Have a dedicated room, or rooms, for your pets like a little pet paradise. (If you chose to have a run of the mill job these rooms will be where your sim de-stresses after a long day)

Marry someone you meet at a Vet clinic - be it your own clinic if your sim is a Vet or a clinic you go to in order to cure or neuter/spay your pets.

Only have 1 child in your Adult life stage.

Optional: If you use mods that give you allergies in game, have the next generation be allergic to pets. Alternatively if you have a mod that gives you more fears in game, give the next generation a fear of cats and/or dogs.

Generation 6 - Seasons

(Colors: Yellow and White)

Pets were never your thing. You don’t despise them, but you also don’t really get along with them. But you know what you get along with? Plants! … and goldfish, goldfish are fun too.

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Career: Gardener or make money from your own garden

Skills: Max gardening and flower arranging skills

Goals:

Return to the basegame mansion from gen 1 at the start of this generation. You may choose to redecorate with Seasons furniture and decor, but the house structure must stay the same unless you need space for more kids rooms. (Since it is a family house, you inherit it, so use freerealestate on to move into the house for free.)

Own a flower arrangement bench and make flower arrangements for EVERY gift you give regardless of the ocasion.

If you have Cottage Living use the Simple Living lot trait on your home and use your garden to get the produce needed.

Have at least one child with one of the special Seasons sims. (Father Winter, Flower Bunny, Patchy)

Grow a money tree AND a cowplant, either through grafting or through fishing it out of a body of water.

Optional: Have one or multiple bushes of death flowers. If you have Cottage Living you can use the flower stand in Henforn-on-Bagley to buy rare flowers and plants that would need extra work to get otherwise.

Host family parties for each holiday, unless there isn’t enough money or family members to do so.

Generation 7 - Get Famous

(Colors: Gold, Silver, Red and/or Purple)

Your parents always seemed so successful, but they never got the recognition you thought they deserved. You weren’t just gonna sit around and let that happen to you, your dream is to be famous! No matter how or why.

Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity

Career: Whatever you see fit for your sim, as long as there is a way to become famous from it. Keep in mind that Acting and being a Streamer/Content Creator came with this pack and was expanded into gaming with HSY.

Skills: Max Charisma and Acting skills, even if you don’t join the acting career. Media Production is optional.

Goals:

Become a 5 star celebrity either by climbing the social ladders or by excelling in skills and activities.

The next heir must be the child of another famous sim - maybe you got with the famous sim for clout? Or maybe you genuinely fell in love with them? Your choice.(If you play with mods that make it possible for your sim to have fertility problems and your sim this generation is infertile you may adopt the heir instead of having them with a famous sim, but you must still get with a famous sim around the same time.)

Earn a Starlight Accolade for something, it could be a book, a song, acting performance, etc.

Live on the biggest lot in Del Sol Valley, either by wooing the celebrity that lives there or by buying it from them with your own funds.

Have a public scandal, for example: cheating on your famous partner in public, getting into a massive brawl, losing your good reputation quickly, etc. Whatever fits your gameplay and storyline :D

At some point have an atrocious reputation. You can either embrace this or make an effort to clean up your act.

Adopt at least one child after having the heir.

Generation 8 - Island Living

(Colors: Aqua and Coral, like the ocean)

Famous life was always so tiring and busy, you just wanted to relax and catch your breath! So you made that your life goal. Moving to your own private island with your parent’s money and almost not moving a finger to work is perfectly fine relaxation, right?

Aspiration: Beach Life and/or Friend of the World and/or Bodybuilder (Beach Life is short, so once you finish it you can have your sim dive into being part of the community or focus on their fitness to become a better swimmer and diver)

Career: Diver, Lifeguard, Fisher or Odd Jobs. Your choice.

Skills: Max Fishing and Comedy skills.

Goals:

Move to the Island lot in Sulani with your famous parents’ money and live alone spouseless for your entire Young Adult life.

Have a Butler during this time. Optional: Have the Slob trait and really embrace that trait.

Use mostly interactions from the Funny social category when talking to your neighbors, friends and family, comedy is your way of being friendly.

Get loans from your parents that you never pay (Receive 5000 simoleons every week, you can use the calendar to book this day as a holiday so you never forget it). Once you reach Adulthood these loans stop, for whatever reason.

Genuinely be a gold digger, get with rich sims solely for their funds because you can’t be bothered to get a good paying job yourself, that’s too much work!

Never really fall in love, or at least never admit it, and only Try For Baby instead of WooHooing (Alternatively: Have risky woohoo on at 20%), unless your household is full.

Once the heir is born, hire a nanny or have a live-in nanny (a sim that you use to take care of the child's needs). Your sim can’t be bothered to take care of their own child anyway.

Generation 9 - Discover University

(Colors: The colors of your college)

You always tried so hard to make your parents proud by getting good grades and being good at things, but they never gave you the time of day. But you won’t give up! The next step is college, and you will ace it! Then maybe your parents will congratulate you on your success?

Aspiration: Academic or Nerd Brain

Career: You choose based on the University Degree you pick, as that is also up to you.

Skills: Max Research and Debate skill and the skills needed for your major.

Goals:

Have A’s in elementary school and high school.

Move into one of the college dorms OR make a sorority/frat house to live in during the university time.

Strive to have As and A+s on your GPA.

If you have the time, become good friends with at least one of your teachers. (Optional: develop a romantic relationship with one of your professors)

Throw keg parties at least 1 per term.

If you have Get Together: Make a Study Club with your college friends to study together, either at the student center or at your dorm/sorority/frat house.

Never visit your parents after you graduate and get a job - you have finally realized that you don’t owe them anything, and you don’t need their approval to know you are talented and deserve good things. Now you can focus on being a good parent like your parents never were!

Generation 10 - Eco Lifestyle

(Colors: Light Green and Yellow, or, Grey and Black)

Your parents taught you to love yourself and never let anyone tell you you’re not worth it, but you were more worried about who was going to love the world! With pollution being such a big problem somebody had to take a stand and do something, and you made that your personal mission.

Aspiration: Master Maker

Career: Civil Designer

Skills: Master Fabrication and Juice Fizzing skills.

Goals:

Vote on Green neighborhood action plans every week. Additionally, move into every neighborhood in Evergreen Harbor to vote for ALL of the green initiatives.

Have one of each kind of Community Space - Public Garden, Marketplace, Maker Space.

Accept every Bess call and become friends with her, as she will be your coworker.(I say this because I believe she’s one of those NPCs that doesn’t really die, but I’m not 100% certain.)

Make your house have the best Eco Footprint possible, or alternatively, have the WORST Eco Footprint and try to change the world regardless.

Marry a coworker, if you have any at this point in the challenge, or marry whoever you want and put them in the same career afterwards. Alternatively you could have the spouse be a freelance crafter!

Have most, if not all of your furniture and decor be crafter by you, you can also use the Handiness skill for this.

If you have City Living: Be a vegetarian or have a member of the household be vegetarian.

Generation 11 - Snowy Escape

(Colors: White and Light Blue)

Seeing things all green and nice is great, but the snow was always your favorite thing. You moved to the snowy mountains to discover yourself and you did! Eventually.

Aspiration: Mt. Komorebi Sightseer or Extreme Sports Enthusiast, whichever fits your sim better. (Note that to finish Extreme Sports Enthusiast you need to level up skills that can cause a sim death, it is specially advised that you have precautionary replacement heirs at the start of this generation.)

Career: Salaryperson and/or Snowboarder(You can make Snowboarding Videos at level 10 and upload them for royalties)

Skills: Max Snowboarding and Skiing, Rock Climbing is optional as it has a chance of causing a sim death.

Goals:

Move to the snowy area of Mt. Komorebi - You can replace the vacation lot with a residential lot if you’d like to.

Only have the Salaryperson job as a backup plan and focus most of your time on Snowboarding, Skiing, and appreciating the culture.

Try to avoid getting the Workaholic lifestyle.

Go to every event and festival, dress in proper attire for said events, and visit the cultural spots in the world with respect.

Take pictures with Yamachan whenever he is walking around, and if you can, take an actual photo with him to put up on your wall.

If possible eat mostly the recipes that came with this pack, have your shoes off at home, and change the utensil preference to chopsticks.

Find your true love at the onsen or on the slopes and have regular dates with them until you have a full romance bar and only then can you start an official relationship with them.

Go on family trips to the slopes and have your children, including the heir, learn how to ski and snowboard.

Generation 12 - Cottage Living

(Colors: Orange-y Brown and Yellow. Optional Green)

A fast paced life was what you got in your childhood and teen years, but now you’re ready to calm down and have a chill life in the countryside. Getting colds every winter was not fun, but having general allergies in the countryside isn’t fun either, but it’s a sacrifice you’re willing to make for your animals!

Aspiration: Country Caretaker or Soulmate

Career: Make money off of animal produce like wool, milk and eggs.

Skills: Max Cross Stitching and Knitting skills (if you have Nifty Knitting).

Goals:

Have at least 1 shed and chicken coop on your lot.

If you have Nifty Knitting, make clothes for your animals to wear.

Have the Simple Living lot challenge. Optional: also have Wild Foxes lot challenge.

Go to every Finchwick Fair and win at least once at every competition.

Have at least one gold chicken and/or evil chicken living in your coop.

Marry another Fair contestant OR marry the Mayor.

Make your own pet treats and canned goods, either to sell, gift, or consume.

Have a room dedicated to your cross stitching hobby, including a wall covered with different sized cross stitch circles.

Optional: Make a cross stitch from reference of your spouse and children.

Generation 13 - High School Years

(Colors: Go wild! Last Generation baby - or galaxy)

You wanted to face the world on your own as soon as possible, and the countryside really was not your cup of tea. So you packed all your things and ‘moved out’ to live closer to the nearest High School. However, starting off from 0 isn’t easy…

Aspiration: Any of the new teen aspirations

Career: Have a part time job, it can be any of the ones that came with the pack or a preexisting one.

Skills: Max Entrepreneurial and Mischief skills.

Goals:

Move to an empty lot before your first day of high school with 0 simoleons, basically a teen rags to riches.

For storytelling purposes you can tell the sim parents that you moved into a high school dorm (yes, those are a thing apparently??) or with a friend to make it easier to get to high school, the parents will believe it.

Only build up a house once you have enough money for the FULL house. Alternatively, build a trailer that your sim ‘bought’ with the money.

Have a clique or close circle of friends from high school, more easily done with the club system from Get Together, if you have it.

Accept every outside relationship progression prompt that you get, regardless of what it is. This is meant to hopefully cause some juicy drama :)

Either study really hard for your exams or don’t study at all. Your sim is here to live their best life, you decide if acing their exams is part of that or not.

Marry your high school sweetheart as soon as you both graduate from high school, or as soon as they graduate if you have been expelled or have dropped out.
