Commission: Colin's roll x games 2007: This piece is coming along and you'll be able to compare with the reference the colours I'm trying to replicate with both the surface texture and also the dust clouds... I find during the painting part of the process that initially I have no real thought as to the colours to go with, it's merely a case of trial and error and so whilst making this scene I discovered how slowly I make choices by eye that result in a close match... It's a case of persistence and patience and also the understanding with myself that a mistake can not exist... That's not a thing in the way I look at my art, it can always add into the story of the piece and ultimately be turned into something more...
