WIP INTRO// The Voice of Nobility
Atarah's Crown, Book One
Tumblr media
NO·BI·LI·TY:the group of people belonging to the noble class in a country, especially those with a hereditary or honorary title.
When Roman Eren graduated from the most prestigious military school in the realm, he believed he knew what life held for him. As first prince of a territory in the country of Domun, he expected nothing more than fine men, combat training, and more lessons on how to soon be king. All of that gets thrown out the window when the Prince of Domun-the Atarah Prince-Enayat Asen gets attacked in broad daylight along with his friends. Roman is chosen to be Enayat's guard, but he must decide wether to stay loyal to his father and his people or the country of Domun and her crown.
Tumblr media
The Voice of Nobility combines elements of low fantasy and high fantasy, while blurring the line between fantasy itself and science fiction, with a strong emphasis on diverse characters. The Voice of Nobility is the first book in the Atarah's Crown series, an introduction to a wide universe made up of three realms-the Kisuan Universe. Fantasy, found family, and nobility never seemed as modern as they do now.
D E T A I L S

Main Cast: Enayat Asen, Piper Caroll, Iris Dunn, Roman Eren

Special thanks to Mod Atarah ( @penguinsledder ) and @coyotelemon from the Kataang Awards for the banner!
This year we would like to announce a special event that will be happening during Kataang Week 2022. Kataang Week is collaborating with Kataang Awards ( @kataang-writers-awards )!
As a reminder, Kataang Week 2022 is from Monday, July 25th to Monday, August 1st. For prompts, rules, and information, please see our main Kataang Week 2022 post here.
What are the Kataang Awards?
Kataang Awards (or Kataang Writer's Awards) is an annual event where the best Kataang stories from the previous year are nominated and voted upon to win awards in a number of categories.
Who can participate?
Everyone with complete entries by the end of the last day of Kataang Week 2022 (Monday, August 1st) is automatically entered. Though the Kataang Writer's Awards usually are geared to just authors, for Kataang Week 2022, the awards will also include participants who have created fanart and/or edits like gif sets, photosets, music, and AMVs.
The Kataang Awards blog ( @kataang-writers-awards ) will keep track of participants on their page.
If you would not like to participate in the awards, please send an ask to @kataang-writers-awards and we will pull you from the running.
How will this work?
Voting for the Kataang Week 2022 Awards will open starting on the last day of Kataang Week 2022 and end 2 weeks later. Those dates are from Tuesday, August 2nd to Tuesday, August 16th.
Voters will choose the top 3 entries they like for each category. Votes will be tallied at the end and announced separately.
Winners will be announced on August 17th on Tumblr and on Kataang Discords. No live ceremony will take place.
What if I didn't complete anything before August 2nd?
Unfortunately, if one or more of your entries are not completed by then, they will not be entered. However, if you have multiple entries completed or at least one completed, they will be entered.
Kataang Week will still be accepting late entries for Kataang Week 2022 until the next event as we always have, but those will simply not be entered into the Kataang Week 2022 Awards running. So, feel free to keep creating!
What are the categories?
There are 2 categories: fanfiction and fanart/edits. Edits include gif sets, photosets, music, AMVs, and anything related.
Categories will not be split by genre.
What can I win?
For each category, there will be 3 "medals" to win including bronze, silver, and gold. Three entries will win in the fanfiction category and three entries will win in the fanart/edits category.
Winners will each receive a custom icon via DM created by @coyotelemon.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, don’t hesitate to send an ask. Don’t forget to reblog this as well to help spread the word!
Happy creating, Kataangers!

Through the Mist Week Eight
Alright it has been quite a long time. Let's just say life has not been kind to the writer in me. Dealing with writers block, imposter syndrome, and worrying about follows and likes led me to a verrrryyyy long break. But look who's back. If you don't know what Through the Mist is go ahead and take a gander at my pinned post on my page. We are on week two so you might be a touch confused if you just start reading. But hey I can't stop you. Welcome to my Star Wars AU. (Yes we are out of order sue me).
***
Universe: Star Wars
Tumblr media
***
"The box told you is was Rey Skywalker?"
"Yes." I insisted holding up the scrunched up blanket with the demonic cube inside.
"The box I told you was worthless?" Auden raised his brow at me.
"Yes! Could you just believe me for five seconds?" I demanded rising from my chair, he raised one eyebrow and I sat right back down. "I was sitting in my room and I touched the box. It started glowing and then the corners like twisted and then it started glowing blue, and then it said something about being Rey Skywalker and needing help."
As soon as the box started speaking in my apartment I threw my blanket over it and ran back to the bar. I was wearing very little clothing when I burst into Auden's office.
"Atarah," He sighed pulling off his jacket and tossed it to me to put on. "Mos Eisley was a hard mission, maybe the suns got to you..."
"Auden. I have never been more serious in my entire life." I slammed my hand on his desk.
He leaned back in his chair running his hand over his beard. "Then show me."
I took a deep breath and unfolded the blanket revealing the cube. I plopped in on the desk and it hit the worn wood with a thud. Thaden leaned forward resting his chin on his hands waiting. I gingerly reach out and picked it up. The cube was heavy and the metal was strangely cool on my palm. Then we waited for a good minute before Auden stood up.
"Atarah I think you need a break."
"Excuse me?!" I said.
"You are obviously having some mental episode..."
"Thayer I am the best you've got. I snuck into a Jedi temple for god sake! I killed a Mandalorian last week!" I seethed.
"Tara I am not doubting your skill. But you are nineteen, maybe I've pushed you too far." He said.
"You've been training me to do this since I was five. If you think you are pushing me too far trust me you aren't." I said.
He pinched the bridge of nose and mumbled words I couldn't understand. "I'm giving you the week off. Get some sleep, eat some real food, maybe even try shopping. I don't care. That's not a suggestion its an order."
"Thayer what will everyone else think? The rest of the crew with think you are playing favorites." I said.
He gave me that look. That look he's given me since I was five years old. The one that meant I was saying or doing something stupid. Thayer found me on the streets 14 years ago while on a job. It's no secret that I'm his favorite. Everyone knew that, they called me the Princess of Tatooine behind my back. But I wasn't his favorite just because, I was his favorite because I was good at what I do. Getting a week break was not me being good at what I do.
"Leave Tara, and next time put on some damn clothes before running through the streets." He sat back down and returned to whatever paperwork he was working on.
I pulled his oversized jacket tightly around my body before turning around. I made my way back through the bar, earning a few whistles. My cheeks were bright red. Not from the lack of clothes or the heat but because I had looked like a total idiot in front of Thayer. I walked back into my sad little apartment throwing the stupid cube on the bed. After a shower and a change of clothes I went back to cube. I picked it up and squinted at it.
"Alright you little shit why the hell didn't you glow in front of Thayer?" I whispered.
I spun it around. I shook it. I slapped it. I traced the metal bits. I threw it at my wall leaving a nice little dent. I stomped on it. I screamed at it until I finally collapsed on my bed in defeat.
"Maybe I did hallucinate." I groaned.
Then I had a weird tugging feeling in my gut and a strong urge to go to the market. I didn't know why but I had to go to the market. It was illogical and stupid but I didn't care. It was like something was physically pulling me out my door. I threw my hair up into two buns and grabbed my satchel. I almost walked out my door but I turned around to look at the cube on the floor. I groaned internally before grabbing it and shoving it my bag before running out of the door.
The market was bustling in the mid afternoon suns. People from all over tatooine were here for the luscious trade but also the notorious black market. As soon as I got to the market the weird urge died and I was left in the middle of the street clueless.
Now what was I supposed to do? Shop? I had never really shopped before. Thayer always said if you can't steal something you don't need it, and there wasn't a lot of things I couldn't steal. The cube felt heavy in my bag but I decided to walk around. I didn't really need anything so I wasn't really looking for anything. The black market that was underground was way cooler but I wasn't in the mood to handle Xander. I was walking down the street when a man wearing a hooded cloak bumped into my roughly. I was no idiot as I felt his hand reach into my bag. Before he could get his sticky fingers on anything I grabbed his wrist and pulled it out.
"Hands off." I growled. "You picked the wrong day to steal with me."
"Did I?" He chuckled. "Is it really stealing, if the object in your bag was stolen in the first place?"
I let go of his hand and backed up. "Who are you?"
"Julian Becken." He threw back his hood. "A jedi from the temple you robbed last night."

18, 43, 70 for the fic writing asks! (- thinkingisadangerouspastime)
thank you @thinkingisadangerouspastime for the ask <3
18. Do you enjoy research?  Which fic of yours required the most research?
HAHAHAHA actually no, not really. i don’t really like doing research for my fics, unless it’s for a canon-compliant fic that acts as a series of scenes from the canon material and/or character fics whose characters i’ve never written before. with atla fics i usually have to just look up the transcripts from my selected episode to quote them word-for-word.
however, there have been several fics that required just a tad bit more than that. one of them was teach me, my Katara-centric fic that shows Katara in the canon series through the lens of colonialism/assimilation/cultural genocide. For that one, I actually did try to look up Inuit myths (at the time, i was debating whether or not to present any specific examples of myths; eventually, i decided to stay general to avoid doing research since the prevailing theme was that Katara had forgotten a lot of the myths of her culture and also leaving it blank let anyone who related to Katara insert their own stories into the fic) and listened a little to some audio of Inuit language to get a sense of how to describe the SWT tongue in the language vignette.
the only other fic i can say got just about that much research - if not even more - was the angst prompt Iroh & Lu Ten ficlet i wrote for @itsmoonpeaches, leaves let go (to fall from the vine). i had NEVER written Iroh and Lu Ten before, so to write it, i had to go to the Avatar Wiki page for Iroh (for his personality) & Lu Ten (not that he had much in there anywho :P), heavily reference Peaches’s fic The Lights That Guide You, and look up the lyrics to Leaves From the Vine for the last segment.
Otherwise, nope - not really a research kind of person.
14. Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?
nothing urgently grasping for my attention, no. i think i would like to try some more fluffy tropes, or - even better - angst-to-fluff tropes. but as of right now, i don’t have anything specific that would warrant a fic just for that trope.
70. Are you subscribed to any writers on AO3?
oh yeah, for sure. you, for one. Peaches too. @chocomd also. and now that you ask that, i gotta go subscribe to a load of other authors, like hotwife, foxford, ocean, atarah, croissant, madamfluffnstuff - there’s probably a lot more, i’ll figure it all out eventually.
thanks for the ask!

ㅤㅤAn independent roleplay portrayal of Huh Yunjin of LE SSERAFIM! Drawing inspiration primarily from her mesmerizing videos and captivating photos. With every nuance and subtlety meticulously observed, the aim is to capture the very essence of Yunjin's unique persona and bring it to life in a truly immersive and enthralling personality. From her soul-stirring melodies to her enchant. The esteemed writer, with an air of solemnity, emphatically declares that she is most certainly not the genuine Huh Yunjin, nor does she possess any affiliation whatsoever with LE SSERAFIM.
ㅤㅤThis particular account is designated solely for the noble pursuit of roleplay. I must clarify that my intention does not involve assuming the guise of the character i have chosen to embody. I must clarify that i am not, nor do i possess any affiliation whatsoever with the individuals in question. The humble author must clarify that none of the captivating visual imagery or moving cinematography that graces the digital realm under my name is to be attributed to my ownership, unless explicitly declared otherwise. In the realm of fiction, there exists a captivating character by the name of Niskaela Atarah Manawari. She is a lost soul, condemned to wander the vast expanse of our earthly plane. Jemma told Atarah that it took Fitz a lifetime to crack time travel in his attempt to save the world from cracking apart... and the chances of recreating that scenario are next to impossible. So... One of my possible theories that could be waaaay off is that Atarah’s mind machine will simulate the passing of time in order to enable Fitzsimmons to spend virtual years together in order to create time travel (and let’s say Nightmare!Jemma and The Doctor pop up to motivate them to solve time travel or something).
The thing is... I just don’t know if that excites or terrifies me. On one hand, the perceived passage of time would really give the writers a way to drop a lot of the weighty emotional baggage that they’ve heaped upon Fitzsimmons, allowing us to assume that they’ve worked through it in one episode... on the other hand it feels like cheating the viewer by rushing through natural development.... but on the other hand, I do kinda just want to MOVE ON. Like, I keep waiting for healing, but all I get are more scars. Like imagine if they get to spend years together feeling safe and loved, but then that little girl was actually the daughter they imagined together and then they had to wake up.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - ‘Inescapable’ Review
Tumblr media
Fitz: "You are one sick, twisted piece of work." Simmons: "I should strangle you right now."
What a fantastic episode. Fitzsimmons are constantly referred to as one person, as if they only had one mind. What an inspired idea, then, to have an episode in which their minds literally become one.
The set up is simple and straightforward: the Chronicoms connect Fitz's and Simmons' brains because they believe that the duo can invent time travel more quickly if their brains are combined. The Chronicoms' agenda is nothing but a plot device, though, for inventing time travel is completely ignored in favor of exploring Fitzsimmons' memories, darker sides and relationship.
After Atarah tells them what they should do and leaves them alone, Fitz's first move is to propose, which was also the first thing his other self did when he met Jemma in the future. That's a great Fitzsimmons' moment, first because of Fitz's unwavering intention and also because of Simmons' reaction: she doesn't blink an eye and accepts. There is no pain about reliving this moment, no thoughts given to what she lived with the other Fitz and lost. She has this Fitz and that's all she cares about.
Perhaps the most evident character trait of Jemma's is how down to business she is. Way back in the sixth episode of the series, she was ready to sacrifice herself to save the team without giving it a second thought. She knows what must be done and so she does it. But this episode reveals the flip side to that aspect of her personality. She deals with difficult situations in such a matter-of-fact way because she represses whatever complicated feelings she might have. That's also why she threw herself so quickly into the search for the second Fitz: she can't grieve Fitz if he's still alive somewhere.
When Fitz keeps asking what happened during his absence, Simmons is so eager not to tell that she devolves to her seven year old self and hides in her bed. We learn later in the episode that Simmons returned to that specific age because that was when her father taught her to keep her troubles and bad feelings contained in a little box so they wouldn't keep her up at night. The problem with that method is that it ended up creating a monster version of Jemma that she keeps locked in the deepest, darkest areas of her mind. I thought that approach to Simmons' evil side was rather simplistic and the only thing in the episode that didn't work for me.
We've known for awhile that Simmons can be extremely cold and detached when necessary. Whereas Fitz literally had an evil version of himself inserted in his mind, Simmons always had a darker side. So if you have an episode where Simmons and Fitz are wandering in each other's brains, it's a given that The Doctor is going to show up and I understand why the writers also wanted an Evil Jemma around. But why is that side of Jemma represented by a horror movie version of herself? It's so random and not the best representation they could have come up with. I'd expect Simmons' dark side to be a counterpart to Fitz's The Doctor, albeit not as cruel but certainly colder.
Maybe it's a matter of expectations, really. I'd rather have the focus be on Simmons' cold nature, the writers focused on her suppressed feelings. Still, "this character had a horror monster inside their mind all this time" is something that comes out of left field, so much so that the script has Simmons explain twice what the thing inside the box is. Ringu Jemma is not a complete fail, though, if only because of the way Fitz, Simmons and even The Doctor react to her. It's hilarious.
Before the episode explores the devils of Fitzsimmons, it devotes some time to update Fitz on what he missed. Simmons wanted to keep it all from him, or at least not dump everything on him so quickly, but after her brief return to childhood land, she can't stop her memories from manifesting themselves. "Please, not this memory," she asks, but it's of no use. Thus, we visit the moment after the battle of Chicago when they brought Fitz's body in. We haven't seen this scene before, so it's a chance for us to see how the group as a whole reacted to Fitz's death. Simmons was wrecked, but she had already told the others that there was a second Fitz. Mack wasn't buying it, but he was very respectful, as were May and Yo-Yo. Daisy put all her differences with Fitzsimmons aside and was there to give Simmons some solace. Daisy truly is the best friend ever.
Understandably, Fitz's mind is sent on a loop when he sees his dead body. He does the time travel math quickly, and his reaction is quite intriguing. First, he is truly devastated that his other self died. Then, when he learns that the other Fitz married Simmons, his reaction is "I missed my own wedding," except that it wasn't his wedding, as Simmons tries to explain. I expected him to wonder and worry about what would have happened to him if the other Fitz hadn't died. But he doesn't perceive that Fitz as another, and therefore questions such as "would Jemma have ever come after me?" never arise.
Tumblr media
Simmons' memories come to an emotional conclusion when Coulson enters the room. From the way everyone is acting around him, Fitz knows something is off. Iain DeCaestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge shine throughout the entire episode, but this scene in particular is a showcase of their acting abilities. DeCaestecker's silent reaction to the news of Coulson's death is so good, his eyes carrying so much emotion, and Henstridge alternates between reliving the memory and narrating it to Fitz. It's brilliant. I also loved the chance to see Coulson yet again, and I loved even more that he was the first one to believe in Simmons and encourage her to go after Fitz. Damn it, what a great father figure.
We get another great scene with Coulson when we visit a shared memory of Simmons and Fitz: the day they met him and were recruited to his team! Their reaction to the proposal is so on point. Simmons is immediately on board, but Fitz wants to think about it before making a decision. Now he traces back all the trauma and pain they went through to that moment when they decided to become field agents.
Fitz's remark is enough to bring Ringu Jemma to their presence, and Fitz and Simmons are separated from one another by their evil selves. It's a moment that once again shows how random Ringu Jemma is. The interaction between Simmons and The Doctor is amazing, especially how she just ignores his attacks and coldly calls him a psychopath. On the other hand, I didn't understand why Ringu Jemma wanted to torture Fitz, even if she gave an explanation for it ("you cause pain, my turn"). It's hard to believe she ever had this type of feelings about Fitz, even if repressed.
Nonetheless, it all leads to a terrific clash between the regular Simmons and Fitz. Locked inside the containment module (it's a containment module, Jemma!), they let it all out in the best climax this episode could have had. There have been many instances in movies and TV shows where a couple fights and screams and ends up declaring their love for one another, but damn it if it doesn't work like a charm here, and it's all because of good writing and acting. Fitz and Simmons' discussion is a recap of everything the writers have thrown at them, and therefore it's a great way to honor their story together. It's instantly a Fitzsimmons's classic scene.
Tumblr media
At first, I wasn't in love with the resolution for The Doctor and Ringu Jemma. Simmons had said earlier that he was only part of Fitz's pain to be controlled, and I wanted that to be the resolution: Fitz and Simmons realizing that their evil selves were part of their troubled personalities and needed to be controlled. Instead, they leave the containment module to find the Doctor and Ringu Jemma... making out. Would the Doctor, a very polished man, ever feel attracted to a horror movie monster? I doubt it. But by the third time I watched the episode (I really loved it), I got a kick out of the scene, especially of how Ringu Jemma subdued The Doctor.
All in all, this was a special episode. I wasn't happy with the direction the writers took Fitzsimmons last season, but "Inescapable" course-corrected it. If anything, it showed that Fitzsimmons can't escape from one another, and we can't escape from them.
Intel and Assets
- Enoch for the win! I knew he would come through for Fitz and Simmons.
- In one of Simmons' memories, we learn that Daisy wanted Yo-Yo to be part of the Space Team. Yo-Yo declined because, even though she and Mack had already broken up, she wanted to be there for him.
- Fitz and Simmons conjured their best friends to help them beat The Doctor and Ringu Jemma. Simmons' was Daisy and Fitz's was Mack. Sorry, Hunter and Enoch.
- To force Simmons to return to her grownup version, Fitz threatened to bring Aida to their presence. That was savage, I loved it.
- Young Jemma was seven (and a half) years old, but the actress who played her looked older. And she certainly isn't English.
- I might not have loved Ringu Jemma, but Elizabeth Henstridge clearly had lots of fun playing her. I did like the attention to detail in the design of the character: she wore clothes similar to the ones that Simmons wore on Maveth, and she had gold makeup on her forehead, just like Simmons did under Kasius' rule in the future.
- The book that young Simmons asked Fitz to read turned out to be the Darkhold. That was a nice callback to season four.
- Nice bit of acting by Elizabeth Henstridge: the way Simmons touches her wedding ring when Daisy gives her Fitz's.
- Nice bit of acting by Iain DeCaestecker: the child-like way he asks "what's wrong with Coulson?"
- So many good line deliveries in this episode. I liked Henstridge's "he is trapped inside your mind and now we are trapped inside your mind with him," she really conveyed a sense of danger there. And DeCaestecker's body language and delivery of "I don't know what I did to deserve that horror movie" were amazing. Nothing beats Joel Stoffer's "I have taken bold action," though. He made that line so perfect.

Quotes
Fitz (re: the Darkhold): "That's not a good book, that's a bad book. Bad story, very poorly written."
Fitz: "Well, it looks like someone's only gonna have two Ph.Ds by the time they're 17, doesn't it?"
Simmons: "For an organized person, your thoughts are a bloody mess."
Simmons: "I would remind you that we came in here because your Hydra fascist shadow was trying to kill us." Fitz: "Oh, so you unleashed the bloody Ringu Monster that you keep in a box. I don't hold a candle to you, psycho!"
Fitz: "You need therapy. You have some deep, deep, pent-up issues." Simmons: "It's been a rough year."
Fitz: "I had no idea you were holding on to all that." Simmons: "What's the point? Don't let anyone know, that's the whole idea." Fitz: "You are so English."
Fitz: "There's no better place to lay low than Strategic Homeland Intervention..." Simmons: "Yeah, it's an awful acronym."
Coulson: "Fitzsimmons, the brain, topped out of your class after being the two youngest ever enrolled." Simmons (proudly): "Well, there can only be one youngest, sir."
Fitz: "Then you get taken away by some rock, only to fall in love with some bloody astronaut..." Simmons: "I was alone on a desert planet." Fitz: "... who turned out to be Hive, by the way. Oh, and also, are we sure that that happened after you slept with him? Because, hey, the jury's still out on that one." Simmons: "Oh, you wanna go there? At least he was a person!"
Simmons: "The Framework revealed the truth. It's all ego." Fitz: "Oh, ego? I would love to deal with ego." Simmons: "Would you?" Fitz: "Guess why." Simmos: "Why?" Fitz: "'Cause your id's out there chewing Mack's head off." Clever bit of dialogue.
Fitz: "If it was you in the Framework, the place would look like Night of the Living Dead."
Fitz: "Didn't know you liked that." Simmons: "Didn't know you'd do that."
Mack: "Their entire planet was laid waste. And the ones who did it, they're..." Daisy: "They're here?" Mack: "Here, yeah. Yeah, they... You kind of stepped on my moment there, but yeah."
Even if I didn't love Ringu Jemma, I thought this was great. Flawed, but marvelous, four out of four music boxes.

15 for 15
Thanks @editronchi for the tag!
Rules: Answer 15 questions about your WIP from a character’s perspective, then tag 15 people.
1. What is your full name?
Atarah Relicuos.
2. What does your full name mean?
“Atarah” is a fairly common name in Corvenn, meaning “crown” in some old language, and “Relicuos” is my mother’s family name. (My half-brother, Ziyad, took his father’s name).
3. What are your other nicknames/names?
Ziyad calls me “Tar”, mostly to be annoying. [Later on in the story she’s called The Prophetess].
4. What is your gender?
Female.
5. What is your sexuality?
Asexual heteroromantic.
6. Where are your from?
Corvenn, the capital city of the kingdom of Óritir.
7. How old are you?
I was born five Games ago. [She is 16].
8. What is your species/magic form?
I’m human, though I have been granted the powers of a seer.
9. What does your human form look like?
What I always look like: Brown skin, blue eyes, long skirts, colorful headscarves. Though, my eyes turn from blue to silver when I see the future.
10. What’s your aesthetic?
Fabrics, swishing skirts, flowing patterns, lively dancing, long gone ruins, and glowing eyes.
11. Who’s your best friend?
Reed. We met when he tried to pickpocket my mistress’s [she’s an apprentice guys] handbasket and I got it back. I give him food sometimes and we talk and he doesn’t steal from me as long as I feed him.
12. Would you ever get a piercing or tattoo?
I actually have magical tattoos all around my back, neck, and chest. It’s sort of the reason I wear a headscarf, other than religious purposes. The designs mark me as an Elotíse, or magical seer.
13. When are you happiest?
I’m happiest when I’m by myself, and I get to be alone and breathe for once without anyone looking down on me or trying to see through lies.
14. What’s your biggest secret?
You already know. If anyone were to find out about my gift of prophecy, the king would no doubt come and lock me up in chains himself.
15. What was your first impression of ___?
The prince? He seemed very envious of Elide Dyga’s position at the king’s side during the Game’s opening. I didn’t trust him then and I still don’t.

OC Tag Game!
I was tagged by @sleepy-and-anxious!
Small note: I did this tag before with my main characters from The Summer Crown, that post can be found over here. I’m gonna use some characters from a future WIP called Servant Of Order.
Rules: Share your inspiration for your character names and tag some other writers!
Soren Caesovra: So Soren is the antagonist in Servant Of Order, and his first name comes from the dutch version of Severinus, which was a form of the Latin word meaning “stern.” His last name indicates he’s a royal in the country of Minea because of the suffix -sovra. Cae- indicates that he has a bond with Caelona, the Minean goddess of order, land, and people.
Atara Masovra: Atara is the MC in this WIP, and her name comes from the Hebrew name Atarah which means crown. Masovra has the same kind of importance as Caesovra, but the prefix Mas- means she has a bond with Mas the Minean god of chaos, ocean, and monsters.
Seda Hanaal: Seda’s name doesn’t really have a meaning that I meant, I just liked how it sounded. It is an actual Turkish name meaning “voice” or “echo.”
Imra Callim: Again, her name doesn’t really have any meaning, I just though it suited her.
Bonus:
Mas: God of chaos and ocean, his name comes from the Latin word for “male.”
Caelona: Goddess of order and land, her name comes from the Latin word for “sky” or “heavens.”
I tag @castles-of-words, @wordwalkers, and @lumist!

Note
In a previous post you said you don't permit work from other sites be submitted. I'm wondering, though, if it's all right to post my fic submissions on FF net as well, and link to the webpage so people can review, provided that I mention the event and prompt in the description. It'll all be brand new content for the purpose of this celebration, not old stories I'd be trying to get attention for. I post all my work both here and there, so I want to be sure I'm not breaking rules by doing so!
Hey! Yup, that’s perfectly fine :)
Clarification: it’s not against the rules to post your content on other sites as part of Kataang Week. We just can’t assure you that we’ll be able to promote your content on this blog unless it’s a Tumblr post we can reblog.
I used to see lots of fic writers post their stories on Tumblr, and also include a link to their stories on ff.net/AO3 in the same post (I used to do that as well haha.)
