I always love Marichat side in the love square because it's the side where they can be dork together but for the PV version... The dynamic could be a bit different, I think.

Felix become Chat Noir to gain the freedom from the curse that he has on him and as far as the canon PV goes, that's all his motivation to become Chat Noir : Get close to Ladybug so he can get kiss from her to free him from the curse.

This is why I think his "extraness or cheerfulness" when being Chat Noir isn't all genuine like Adrien does therefore, the way he approach Bridgette also different.

I have a HC where in Felix's eyes, Bridgette is a crime magnet, one that constantly make him frustrated because "How in the world she always find herself in this place, time and situation???????!" (Lol) But she's the frustration that he just can't ignore, not only because she's his classmate but also because she always help him in school so he's??? In short of debt???? (He does care for her, he just doesn't want to admit it)

So time and time again, Chat Noir need to keep this girl, who's badluck somehow always led her to this situation (it's not lmao), out of trouble and I can imagine he just vent all his frustation at her and be like :

"I am the black cat, but why, WHY, HOW can you have more bad luck than me?????????" (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ

And Bridgette, being can't tell the cat the real reason why she /need/ to be there could only be like :

"Because... I'm a bad luck champion?" (• ▽ •;)

For Bridgette seeing Chat Noir being all grumpy is a side that she never see before because for all she know, Chat Noir is a catsanova who always have terrible time to flirt and a jokester, basically your typical class clown. Sure he can be sweet at times but grumpy? Chat Noir? Grumpy? Grumpy Chat Noir, who??????? It feels like alien take over his body and it baffle her at first but the more she see it, the more she find this side of him is interesting. Because as it turns out not only this cat could be grumpy, he also... Pretty socially awkward??? Also he's not that extra with her??? Huh??? Where's that catsanova act?? And she find Chat Noir is more fun to hang out with when he's not dial up his dramatical extraness. Soon, they become a friend's.

It's funny how she think he tried to act cool and by cool she meant cool, like Felix kind of cool? Sometimes he tries to act distance but always fail at it. He said he won't help her again if he find her near the crime scene next time, he he save her anyway, even get hurt because of it. He said he won't come again after that one time she share the left over pain au chocolat, but he did come again to play. He really is like a cat and she like him his company! Yup! He's definitely a nice companion to have, but her heart is only for Felix.

I need a bingqiu fic where everyone reverse transmigrates into the modern world but only Binghe and Mobei Jun remember their old world cause now THEY have the system and their task is simple: find their husbands and make them fall in love with them again.

Seems easy right? They've done it once already.

WRONG.

Because, when Binghe finds Shen Qingqiu, he's heartbroken to find that his Shizun's personality is almost the same as before his qi deviation in their previous life, and has absolutely no interest in him.

He also finds out that for some reason in this life Shen Qingqiu has a younger brother, Shen Yuan.

Shen Yuan is sweet and kind and pretty and gentle and funny and pretty. He's also closer in age to Binghe. Slowly Binghe starts to feel a devastating guilt every time he looks at him. He doesn't know where this man was in their previous life, but in this one. In this one Binghe is pretty sure he's falling in love with him.

He feels guilty because it feels like betraying his Shizun, his husband. He feels like the only reason he's in love with Shen Yuan is because he reminds him of his husband, but that's not fair to Shen Yuan either. It's like he's just replacing one brother for the other.

But no matter how much he tries he can't get Shen Yuan out of his mind.

Then his Shizun, Shen Qingqiu, starts dating Yue Qingyuan and Binghe's confused more than anything. He doesn't understand why he doesn't feel heartbroken. But when the System doesn't take away any points for this, he finally asks it "Hey, System." "Yes?" "Do you know why Shizun is acting as such?" "What do you mean? We've detected no abnormal behaviour from Shen Yuan." "No, not Shen Yuan, Shen Jiu— WAIT, WAIT, SHEN YUAN?????"

Then he finds out, this whole time, he's been going after the WRONG. GUY.

Shen Yuan, on the other hand is heartbroken.

Despite acting like he's straight his whole life (and very much believing it himself), there was just something that stabbed him in the chest every time he looked at Luo Binghe playfully flirting with his ge (while getting rejected every. Fucking. Time. Shen Yuan really doesn't know if his ge doesn't know the hottest guy on the planet is flirting with him, or if he's being an idiot and rejecting him).

He's gotten to know the guy quite well, and they have become quick friends. They talk, they text and they hang out, all the time. He finds that Binghe is an amazing cook (seriously, HOW can food be so good?). He also loves to read, and they proceed to rant about the books they've both read. He's also a huge cry baby. (Shen Yuan thinks it's cute)

And sometimes.

Sometimes he'll just look at Shen Yuan with so much, well, fondness. It's in those moments that Shen Yuan let's himself dream that maybe, maybe, this boy could be his.

Sometimes he'll say something that cannot be categorized as anything but shameless flirting.

Like the first time he made Shen Yuan congee. "This is the best thing I've ever had. Holy shit." "Ah, you like it that much? Alright then. I'll make it for you all the time, with variations." Then he proceeded to wink. WINK. (Shen Yuan did not blush. He did not. He's straight. It's just the halo-like light that surrounds Luo Binghe is enough to charm sven a straight man. Like him. Cause he's straight. Definitely.)

When his ge starts dating Yue Qingyuan. He expects Binghe to look heartbroken, but. He doesn't. He acts like nothing is wrong. Absolutely nothing is out of place.

Except he smiles at Shen Yuan with that fond look way more often. He flirts way more often. He cooks for him way more often.

Shen Yuan doesn't know how to feel about that.

Has this guy been some kind of playboy this whole fucking time? And when one target is no longer available, he just moves on? To his BROTHER? Yeah, no, scratch that, he knows exactly how he feels.

He's furious.

(Binghe has no idea why Shen Yuan seems so angry with him. He just wants to kiss his husband. Why must this always happen when they reunite?)

Mobei Jun on the other hand is having a, uhh, sorta better time. He's found Shang Qinghua. Shang Qinghua is the Shang Qinghua he knows, flighty, cowardly and cute. But, the thing is. Qinghua's absolutely terrified of him.

Every time he pops up next to him, he squeals and jolts so bad that one time he slammed into a door.

But he still blushes at their proximity. Still has the same taste in trashy novels. Still writes. Still loves having his hair ruffled.

They get together within 2 months. The system congratulates him 3 times.

Scum Villain au where Shen Jiu finds out about what happened to YQY some other way than just being told by the man himself.

How? Not important. Maybe he pressured MQF and SQH until they both gave the pieces they knew and put this together. Maybe he found paperwork about it. Maybe YQY did tell him, but he was drunk or drugged or something and so he doesn’t remember telling.

The point of this post is I think it would be funny if SJ, mostly having forgiven YQY but still angry that he just didn’t tell him the truth for years, let’s YQY suffer for a little long. He wasn’t necessarily overly mean to him anymore, but he does now just say things to see what YQY would do.

Like, if it was between me or LQG, who would you choose? Hm? What if I murdered someone hmmm? What if I spent all your money, hmmmmmm?

What SJ was trying to do was stress YQY out (ok, part of it was him seeing where he stood now but shh), but YQY only gets a little stressed at the problems his answers would cause SJ. Because he totally would chose SJ over anyone! But that would make people angry at SJ. He would help cover up a murder, but SJ could be sent to jail! He would give SJ any money he wanted, but the sect might not be happy with either of them?

SJ learns very quickly how high up he still is in YQY’s eyes. It makes him feel powerful. He also learns very quickly that if he really, really wanted something, all he had to do is call YQY Qi-Ge and YQY folds immediately.

He uses that one a lot, when others couldn’t see. He still has a reputation to uphold after all.

YQY, meanwhile, has no idea what’s happening. He has no idea why SJ is suddenly being so nice to him. There’s no way that he has forgiven him, after all, so it has to be something else?

He starts to think that SJ is either about to leave the sect or dying. Both terrify him. YQY drags a very unwilling SJ to MQF immediately.

When it’s clear that he isn’t dying, YQY thinks that SJ is about to leave the sect. He panics, and does the first thing he could think of- Ask SJ if YQY could leave the sect with him. (He asks this in front of MQF, who does not want to be an audience for this.)

SJ is flattered that YQY would leave the sect with him. He takes it as a wedding proposal. (He has forgotten that YQY never knew that SJ knew about the caves and the sword)

YQY doesn’t know when they got engaged, or why a wedding was happening, but he is not complaining. The night before the wedding, YQY breaks down and tells SJ about everything. SJ panics, and not wanting YQY to know that he has know for at least a year at this point and had just been messing with him, acts like this is entirely new information! Wow, YQY, that sure was awful! I am so angry about this information that I’ve never heard of before.

LQG thinks that SJ had tricked YQY into marrying him. Or that YQY had very bad taste.

The funny thing about my Shen Jiu transmigrates into Shen Yuan's body at the same time Shen Yuan transmigrates into Shen Jiu is that it takes place in the same universe wherein PIDW got rewritten into the SVSSS we see (just from LBH POV with the necessary plot holes of the side villains filled in) which means that SJ had to go through the agonizing ordeal of learning about what YQY did through web novel format. And I think that's going to fuck him over for days

You ever think about how...in both canon timelines, Yue Qingyuan thought that...his...his Xiao Jiu... That Shen Jiu...left him behind, rejected him. That Shen Jiu didn't think of him as the most significant person in his life even though to YQY, he is the most important person. That YQY lived and died feeling the person he loved the most, didn't love him back (or atleast not as much YQY loved him).

"Now go. Don't appear before me."

In PIDW, he died thinking even if he gave up his life, it will not be even important enough to SJ to make a difference. And yet, he embraced 10,000 cursed arrows because YQY's love and devotion to SJ cannot be measured in how much love he got back from SJ. YQY willingly threw away his life, believing his death in the will not matter a lot to SJ, and he didn't care. He loved his Xiao Jiu all the same.

"Shixiong, its Qingqiu."

In SVSSS, he lived on believing that "shen jiu" chose another person over him. That SJ is happier, much better without his memories of his Qi-ge. That SQQ wants to leave him behind. Choosing someone else who loves him better than YQY could, and left him behind along with the "forgotten past". And YQY...still loved his Xiao Jiu the same. Because...in the end, he will always be waiting for SJ. Even when he knows that waiting is in vain.

In PIDW, YQY willingly gave Xuan Su to SJ in the water prison. Do you.... [BREATH IN. BREATH OUT]...do you... Ever. Feel like dying after reading that part??? Coz I feel something tightly gripping me and suffocating me inside, when I think of how YQY cared SO LITTLE about himself. That even though his love was imperfect, it was PURELY UNCONDITIONAL.

In SVSSS, knowing fully well, that SQQ has decided to go with LBH, he still said that CQMS will always be open to him. Because he will NEVER let SQQ be without a home to return to. That's what a home is after all: a place, when you have nowhere else to go, they have to accept you.

He will always, ALWAYS, choose Shen Jiu. Even if Shen Jiu didn't choose him back. He will always be Shen Jiu 's home, even if the home is abandoned.

Something I find really amusing about CCSakura lore (as messy as CLAMP can be with consistency) is how Touya and Syaoran both have in common the fact that they inadvertently fucked over Clow's predictions and are now crucially inserted in whatever goes on whether they want it or not, having both insane unpredictable magic.

Touya derailed Clow's plans possibly just by being born and that he didn't consider that Fujitaka could have two kids. Him just existing and finding Yukito already changed everything. Yukito's independent nature from Yue's memories, born from the need of him to ignore his given purpose until the right time, gave him a clean slate of freedom of choice which he used to stick to Touya instead of Sakura, as Clow had considered would happen. Yukito fell for him without even knowing that he or Touya had magic. Then Touya gave Yue his magic, while acknowledging Yue as a different entity separate from Yukito but equally as valid and worthy of being saved, and as much as Yue cares deeply about Sakura, you can't convince me that magic gift in itself wasn't something that finally pushed him to start moving past his grief for Clow once and for all, especially at a time they knew for a fact that Clow was somehow lingering, because his magic was showing up.

Not only that but Touya ended up having even more magic, independent from Clow's own, and is one of the incredibly few people in existence who can control time magic and when asked by Kero, Spinel and Ruby Moon wtf is up with that he goes like 'what, like it's hard?'.

Then Syaoran, after losing his right over the cards, just decides to stick around, risking his life persistently to save and assist Sakura, and instead of feeling a sense of competition forever because of his bloodline and what he was taught to feel entitled to due to his upbringing, he just decides he'll give her whatever he can to help her if she asks, because he loves her. And Sakura also falls in love with him. And the cards become attached to Syaoran because Sakura is attached to him and their magic intermingles in a way in which not only she can lend him cards, they tag along with him out of their own free will without Sakura even knowing because they care for him too, out of Sakura's love and out of their own choice because hey, this kid is good.

And Syaoran develops his magic as a separate form from Clow's and it becomes powerful enough to break through insane powerful magical barriers to reach Sakura when she's in danger.

And neither of them really knew what the fuck they were actually getting into in the first place, because one was just vibing with a guy he met at school and the other one was sent at age 10 by his family to pick some cards in a foreign country and now they're magical beacons forever attached to Clow's legacy.

Currently fucked up considering that the central point around which 79's agonies are built—yq's promise to come back when he was stronger and save sj—is a child's fantasy. Because even if he had come back? What could he do? Sj was considered qjl's property, it was legally within his rights to do whatever he wanted with him. He had money, now, but qjl would never have given up sj. Being a cultivator wouldn't have put yqy above the law, and exerting his newly-acquired strength to save sj by force would have only earned him a warrant.

Yue Qi becoming a cultivator wasnt some magical cure to everything. There would still be work and planning necessary in order to get him out of there without huge consequnces. And the thing is, I think sqq understands this. I think he understood this when he burnt down the qiu estate, perhaps even long before that. He probably considered plans for it—what to do once Yue Qi came back. But even when he understood, he waited, because the important partof their promise wasnt who precisely did the saving, it was that Yue Qi would come back for him, that Yue Qi cared about him, even if he found a better life for himself

Yue Qingyuan, i think, doesnt understand this at all. I think he really believes if he was just a little faster, if hed just gotten there sooner, if he hadnt been trapped in the caves, if he hadnt messed everything up, then he would have been able to show up in time to whisk sj away. The sentiment of the promise isnt so important to him—of course he loves sj, he always has put him first in all things, it goes without saying bc every single thing he does and says is an "i love you"—to him, the part of the promise that sat most heavily was the responsibilty. Its not enough to come back without strength, its not enough just to care—he had to save sj, and he failed.

Had sqq known he'd tried, he'd surely have viewed his failure as an inevitability, and it wouldnt have bothered him at all. To yqy, his failure is crushing. It is the basis around which every pathetic facet of his personality will be built for the rest of his life.

So as always I was thinking about Soukoku and the whole "Dazai fell first but Chūya fell harder" ordeal.

Because, think about it : when they first met, their interactions made clear that they had about the same level of annoyance/disdain for each other, alright. But the thing is, while Chūya's quickly grew into full-on hatred (please please PLEASE go read this post by @sorcerersandskillusers on the topic it's brilliant), I don't believe it's the same for Dazai. On the contrary, I'd say he instead grew fond of Chūya, or at least found him amusing and or interesting enough that it cancelled his initial negative feelings.

Now Dazai being who he is (aka an emotionally repressed teenager to whom I don't think anyone had ever shown affection) of course he expressed it with all the subtlety of a preschool brat pulling the hair of that playmate he likes, but that's a whole other story.

Any thoughts on SJ + YQY? They haunt me.

oh god this is one of those things that I can barely handle and I think that's why I'm not more of a Qijiu (other than the fact that Bingjiu is so perfectly awful that it's hard for me to look away from it) - every time I think about them I flinch.

there's just so much there left unresolved, and that will (at least on page) always be unresolved, because either there's a universe where Yue Qingyuan dies because he cannot and will not walk away from his Xiao Jiu, and his death is the thing that completely and utterly breaks Shen Qingqiu 1.0, or there's a universe in which Yue Qingyuan's Xiao Jiu slips away and is replaced by someone else, rendering him almost unrecognizable, a stranger. He's friendlier to Yue Qingyuan, sure, but I can't help but think that, even if Yue Qingyuan can't name it, he knows there's something wrong, something off, something that isn't the man who grew out of the boy he knew and loved.

I feel like that has to make him feel sort of insane sometimes. I wonder, a little, if that's part of what drives him to confess to Shen Qingqiu about what happened with Xuan Su - not just that he thinks he's about to die, but also because he needs some kind of reaction, some kind of response that tells him that there's something there of their old relationship, even if it's anger, even if it's bitterness or hatred he needs there to be something.

but the chance for that resolution is already gone. that being the moment where Shen Qingqiu 2.0 feels and acknowledges the loss of the person who used to inhabit the body that's now his is really powerful, I think.

and the fact that! that everything Yue Qingyuan does regarding Shen Qingqiu 1.0, his efforts to protect and shield him, also enable the cruelty that ultimately becomes his downfall that ultimately becomes Yue Qingyuan's death. Yue Qingyuan wants so badly to make up for his failure, and Shen Qingqiu 1.0 can't let him, because they're talking past each other (by not talking at all), and they keep talking past each other, and I want to SCREAM.

yeah anyway the point is that the reason I don't talk/write about this relationship often is because it is almost too much for me in some very particular ways that I just cannot emotionally handle very well.

Whenever I tried to do some digging on PV, I always found a post that said "PV fans should move on from the scrapped concept" and I'd say people who say that is the one who should move on and let people do what they want.

For the wellness of my own heart I never want Yue Qingyuan to find out the Shen Qingqiu he knows is not the same Shen Qingqiu he loved. I want him to stay ignorant for the rest of his life. I'd rather have him fooled that Xiao Jiu just changed because of a qi deviation then find out about Shen Yuan. For both Yue Qingyuan and Shen Yuan's sake.

Decided to do both ending 2 (my canon) and ending 3 to show how different yet similar the routes are!

++ some rambles/explanations under the cut:

ASCENDANT ENDING

THE PRENUP

this is sending me bc i have this long ass timeline that leads to them signing a prenup:

- astarion ascends, then breaks up with selene bc she didn’t want to become his spawn

- selene comes with karlach and wyll to avernus, but she doesn’t last long (she’s a lover not a fighter 💀) karlach convinces her to go back to faerun. she tells her that she has been on autopilot ever since, and she has not had the time to process the breakup. the constant fighting in the hells was not helping

- hesitantly she goes back to waterdeep, where she learns that she is being summoned back to evereska. she journeys there and gets celebrated as the savior of baldur’s gate. she starts creating songs abt her adventures. somehow, she still felt as an outsider in her family despite getting acknowledgment. she goes back to waterdeep where she feels more at home

- she slowly builds her reputation. the reunion party also happens during this time.

- 3 years pass by. she goes back to baldur’s gate ever since the brain. not as a hero, but as a performer this time 🥳

- they see each other again ever since the party

- zariel arc begins(!) selene recruits astarion (and the gang!) to help defeat zariel. this is where they rebuild their relationship, whatever it was. they make house of hope their homebase

- before the final fight, astarion, desperate and pissed off that selene was not jumping on his advances, propositions (again 😩) to turn her. they get into this massive fight. selene tells him that the only way that they can make this work is to enter a (magical, hell-powered) contract, where he can’t compel her and in return she can’t leave or betray him. astarion, who was planning all along to turn selene into a vampire bride (where he actually can’t compel her) instead of a spawn, agrees to it since the contract was heavily in his favor. BOOM PRENUP. they both sign it. astarion turns her the very same night 💀 they’re basically married at this point

- they defeat zariel yay, slowly take over baldur’s gate while also getting a vacation home in waterdeep while also traveling the world yadda yadda. then they have a wedding despite already being married for years bc why not ✨

THE WEDDING

at this point selene is a very famous singer, and astarion close to becoming the shadow ruler of baldur’s gate. their wedding gets called the wedding of the century— think the royal wedding, imagine the masses crowding on the gates trying to see what’s going on inside 💀 they hold it during the daytime to squash all the rumors of them being vampires. their motif is white and gold, and is heavily influenced by elven culture. selene’s gown’s train is around 20 ft long. their cake is 3 minscs and 8 boos tall. the festivities lasted for DAYS. lots of hedonistic debauchery occurred ehehe

so i chose songs that had wedding vibes but also toxic when you listen to the lyrics. chemtrails over the county club is about choosing to live in your own safe and comfortable bubble despite the ongoing horrors outside (cue in my snow globe symbolism for them). there’s also this line where it says “it’s never too late, baby, so don’t give up” which makes me feel that there’s still hope in the relationship becoming healthy… eventually 🤡 (i mean, they actually have forever between them). you belong to me is very fitting bc astarion can let her roam the world freely, but ultimately she can’t leave him. (this also aligns with one of the voicelines a!astarion has if tav leaves with karlach to avernus as a spawn— he tells them that he allowed them to go with karlach bc he’s not some “controlling monster”. he could summon tav back beside him if he wanted to.)

as for the spawn ending, at first they want to hold it with just the two of them but then word gets around, and now everyone was excited for the wedding! they didn’t expect so many people would want to congratulate and celebrate with them. imagine 7k+ people wanting to attend 💀💀💀

they hold the wedding reception in the underdark, but made their vows privately under the night sky 🥹😭 MOON AND STAR MOTIF LFG 😭😭😭

just a quick one: there’s this line in your universe that says “you can thank your stars all you want but, i’ll always be the lucky one” which i think perfectly sums up how he views tav/selene. bc who in their right mind would help a vampire— a monster, let alone give them their blood? only tav/selene. Just my personal opinions/rambling on Shen Jiu and Yue Qingyuan:

I don't think it would be a "hot take" to say that Shen Jiu was emotionally abusive towards Yue Qingyuan too. I have often read about how YQY's actions and inactions hurt SJ in the long run (and it is true, that's not wrong to say) but damn...SJ won't leave a single opportunity to be so damn harsh and rude towards YQY it seems if he couldn't even go five sentences without making him run away out of embarrassment and shame. Granted, SJ doesn't realise how guilty YQY feels and how he still cares very deeply for SJ but that doesn't mean SJ never realises how much he is hurting YQY, even a little bit. SJ is too sharp to not see how he affects his Qi-ge.

I fucking love SJ. My heart hurts, like I physically feel pressure in my chest, when I think how much he has been through. Which is why it hurts even more to see what he became in the end. And he has hurt the person he loves the most, Yue Qingyuan.
