we are SO smart, thank u for this message, dear anon, u have The Taste 🙏

Yvette is such an interesting character for me but it just makes me sad whenever I think abt her cause the canon shut her off for literally no reason. she's there since the beginning, she should be an active figure, she's literally Rhys' best friend. yet all the bad writing decisions make her seem like a bad guy when,, she's rly not. she's just defending herself in the heartless Hyperion landscape. not to mention, she admits that she only took the deal when she knew that they wouldn't do anything to Rhys. she was just desperate, worried for her friends

but the narrative treats her horribly. not only the option not to shock her is hard to get in the first playthrough (which yields in her apologizing btw soooo) but also u have to make 3 SEPARATE CHOICES to actually save her from death. again, comparing to Vaughn who also double crosses u for (no reason) and game rly wants u to trust him. anyways, it's not abt him, I just love making choices that guarantee Yvette at the end of the game, it makes me smile

I don't wanna leave on a sour note so here are my Yvette hcs:

I usually can't decide where I want her to be the most post epilogue tbh. I see her either being with Helios Hellions, being their strategist (and not dying), helping the people. or I see her on a space journey across planets (with Sasha), learning abt new places and enjoying her time when her life finally belongs to her

tbh? in other scenario she deserves to rule Hyperion. with Blake by her side. just sayin

I hc her as a lesbian and my two ships for her are with Sasha (travelling, learning to let loose and exploring) and with Angel (they take over Hyperion together and work through feeling crushed by others, while learning to be each other)

the orange shirt is just her work uniform. on her own she prefers to wear cold colors, like that purple she has for her character text

she doesn't go anywhere without her glasses

going off of her lunch theming and all, I think she is very into different cuisines and has a refined palette. during her travels she makes sure to taste the local cuisine

she and Rhys are the best gossip buddies and they love to go clubbing together during the weekends

her favorite flowers are roses and she would love to have a rose garden (her splash card has roses!)

she also deserves to be a nerd! I think she's very into Bunkers & Badasses and with her strategic sense, she always maxes out the best stats for her characters

Obsessive, After being stranded on Pandora, she hardly takes care of herself.

At first sight she can't get you out of her mind, it distracts her from her work.

She's annoyed, she need full concentration.

But being away from you makes it worse.

Best way of knocking you out? Well, she doesn't, its not her style.

She will however ask a vault hunter to get you, or ECHO to request you to visit her.

She'll vent to you the whole time, mostly about the Eridians, The Vaults, and whatever thing she wants to talk about.

She rarely lets you talk. which makes it even worse.

If you're trying to and or escaped? Nope, nope no no.

She's smart, how could you slip out of her grasp? Whatever she'll find you.

"Why did you run off? Oh wait, that was a fight or flight response wasn't it. I'm not good at reading social interactions. Look I- just stay please."

Yvette

Delusional, always buys you lunch, even if you aint hungry, leeching off her friends.

She tries to use it to manipulate you, though any sane person would just ask her to stop buying it then.

If you ever leave Helios, she'll constantly ring you, asking if you need anything. Loaderbots, supplies ect.

Best way of knocking you out? A stun rod. Simple as, and carries you to her office.

If you're trying to and or escaped? She's keeps her office on lockdown 24/7. Nobody can get in or out.

She still makes you do your work, though if you can't handle it right now she'll gladly help :)

If you escape, she'll ask her friends to help. Under the guise that you were lost and needed to speak to her.

When you get found she instantly scolds you.

What the hell are you doing? She's giving you free food?! You ungrateful shit

Tyreen Calypso

Delusional + obsessive, she so desperately wants to be a God, with you by her side.

At first she makes an offer you can't refuse, you - not having to worry about lack of food, shelter, and bandits trying to kill you every minute! What do you have to loose?

If that doesn't work, a simple threat will do.

Best way of knocking you out? Her first thought is asking the Psychos, but due to how differently they do things. It would only add stress to every party involved.

When she gets Lilith's powers she doesn't need the Phychos, she can teleport to you now :).

If you're trying to and or escaped? She and her minions watch you like hawks, so it'll be impossible without a massive distraction.

When you do escape she'll send everything she can at you, if all else fails she'll just teleport to you.

"Oh sweetie, you can't leave me. I'm a god, and what I want.. I'll get."

Mordecai

Obsessive, This guy has been through alot, he obviously needs someone.

Best way of knocking you out? He'll use a tranquilliser dart, but not before removing / slagging all enemies around you.

He doesn't really have a place to live does he? Besides the mountain cliff.

If you're trying to and or escaped? It easy to escape, but getting caught is easier.

"I need you, I know its selfish, I know its wrong, but I can't rest knowing you could be in danger out there, please, trust me..."

Claptrap

Well it was going to happen eventually...

Obsessive, this needy shit is starved of any human interaction.

Best way of knocking you out? To be honest I have no idea, you'd have to be vulnerable and or desperate to get help from a claptrap unit.

He starts off trying to lure you into one of his many hideouts, which now leads into a real Catch 22. You either die out there, or be stuck with his annoying ass.

If that doesn't work, then he'll just follow yoh everywhere. Trying to act all hero for you.

If you're trying to and or escaped? Oh god, its easy to escape I tell ya.

We can jump and break stuff, a claptrap can't.

This is one of the yanderes where escape is an option.

"HEY (Y/N) LISTEN TO THE SOUND OF MY SOOTHING VOICE, AND GET HERE..."

Krieg

Krieg is honestly a fun one to write, yet is terrifying at the same time.

He is a psycho, yet is different from the others for keeping his true self alive.

When he meets you, he falls hard.

He believes in love at first sight.

"Oh my, shes pretty..."

"SUFFERING BLOOD MASH!"

"... right..."

Not trusting krieg is understandable, after all he looks like any other psycho.

"First introductions are everything, dont mess up like with the siren!"

"THE LESSER MAN SPEAKS WRONG."

"ugh, yes it did end up okay. But you HAVE to listen to me. It won't go as smoothly this time."

"Just tell her she's pretty, and if you say the word poop I will kill us both."

"Ugh, um... YOUR POOP IS PRETTY!"

Best way of knocking you out? With a hefty punch, or worse, strangulation.

Krieg doesn't know his own strength, so he might kill you in the process...

If you're trying to and or escaped? This mother humpa would burn down sanctuary if you leave his sight for more than a minute.

Calling him mad would be a compliment, he is fucking outraged at you.

Though the second he finds you all that rage disappears

You're the one he's fighting for!

You're the one that keeps the real him from wanting to kill himself.

Obsessive, being Valory's son it isn't going to be easy to get into a relationship with someone.

He has had to hide it, like with Sasha.

Best way of knocking you out? I think he's to 'kind' for that, or whatever fucked up morals he has for a Pandoran. You're coming with him, whether you like it or not.

If you're trying to and or escaped? He'll be begging to his mama to go find you.

Even sending out Kroger and Finch...

When you're sent back, you can't even tell if he even noticed you were gone. His face emotionless.

Though after everyone leaves, he'll start complaining...

"Come now... I'm not that bad am I? Its alot worse out there."
