Let's Build a Zoo cohabitation

I've been playing planet zoo a lot since its release on console and I'm really happy with how my builds so far have turned out! Hered a nice shot of my Moose and Beaver exhibit (*^ー^)ノ♪

The path and buildings surrounding it are still being built, but there's a waterfall in the back and a glass, underwater viewing section down the ramp to the left there ^^

It's real pretty in the snow too!

This game is incredible compared to where I began years ago on Zoo Tycoon XD I'll do a proper tour once this area is all finished up! (⌒‐⌒)

A game where you run a wildlife sanctuary for magical creatures. You can build and decorate the habitats of each animal however you want (while always keeping their needs in mind). Some magical creatures have a very specific diet, so you have a small farm in the sanctuary where you cultivate the special plants you use to make their kibble. Your house is also in the wildlife sanctuary, and sometimes you cook in your kitchen the favorite dish of a creature to celebrate a special occasion. Shortly after you started the wildlife sanctuary, you started posting pictures of the animals online. Posting cute pictures of dragons and unicorns every once in a while helps to get the word out about the sanctuary. However, the wellbeing of the magical creatures is your main priority so visitor tours are very limited, which is why most of the income of the sanctuary comes from the physical and online store where you sell chimera keychains, jackalope plushies and all kinds of merchandise.

Since I found out steam does a year in review (I had no idea until this year) I have decided that I must play video games more and play every game in my steam library so that my year in review is 100% accurate next year and I don't get told that my top 2 games were Disco Elysium and Baldur's Gate 3 because I would Hyperfixate on one game for a whole month (or three) and play nothing else, and still have my genre graph have nothing to do with those two top games and instead have "cats" as a genre while calling me a fag

I got planet zoo on sale. The tutorials are bad. What is happening. This is way more complicated then zoo tycoon 2 and I can't do little tasks myself. Boo.

I have been playing Planet Coaster again for the first time in a long while.

And I have a big pet peeve about this game that I really want to share.

If anyone don't know this is a management game. You have guests you got of keep happy and get them to spend money, and you have staff and build costs and stuff.

Now for most jobs in this game you have a little person. They have a name, an energy meter, an happiness meter, a salary and so on.

But for the persons collection entry fee and the persons operating the rides, you do not have this. They are just an animation. The are not "real" 🥲

And I hate it. Either just pretend everyone pays on there own, putting money in a box or something or have them be as real as the worker selling soda!!

Just pretend the ride works on it's own or have the operator be as real as the janitor!!

End silly rant.

(These thoughts are dangerous, these thoughts leads to trying to make your own game when you already have x started and abandoned programing projects 🙃)

On a more important note: I hate that both Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo pretends people with disabilities don't exists. I want at least ramps and elevators in my zoo game! 😔

planet zoo is great of course but it would be better if animals could eat the guests and each other. I want to recreate my zoo tycoon 2 gladiatorial panther pit.

#I dug a pit and lined the sides with small cages which I filled with angry panthers #the guests would go down into the pit to view them #then when enough were down there I walled off the entrance of the pit and deleted the walls of the panther cages #chaos #also of course the 'wildlife park' thing where you could have a fully functioning ecosystem with no food items #because the herbivores could graze and the carnivores could kill and eat other animals #I do appreciate planet zoo as a more realistic simulator but sometimes #sometimes realism is not what I want #I kind of want zt2 gameplay with pz graphics/building potential #also I would like extinct animals

i have a disease and it´s called "when i try to not work i´m really bored and just work anyway or just stare into space"

Thinking about the development for Zoo from SR2 to SR3. He's like a completely different person in the span of only like 5 years. Current Zoo knows how terrible he was back then, and he definitely regrets some of his actions.

SR2 Zoo was practically on a rampage, plus he was on a massive power trip with being the new leader of the Saints. He had been betrayed and blown up and put in a coma for five years, from a teenager into his early 20s. He was a young gang leader, had to rebuild the Saints from pretty much nothing. He had to watch as his best friend almost died because of the Ronin, because of him. He had to put Carlos out of his misery after The Brotherhood got to him. Because of Zoo. Aisha was dead, Shaundi almost got killed by Veteran Child. Zoo was on a rampage and it cost lives, but that didn't stop him in the time being. It drove him further. He was filled with blood lust and angry at the world and had no sort of control over himself. He acted impulsively and didn't stop to think about consequences whatsoever. SR3 Zoo still has a temper and doesn't often think about his actions, but he takes a bit more pause now, and he actually feels guilt for his actions.

Zoo actually hates the person he was back in SR2, but he doesn't say it. He blames the person he was for a lot of the blood that's on his hands.
