Nesta Archeron (Harry Potter AU)-Chapter 1 (The Birthday Trip)
A/N: I got the idea after reading about how close the Valkyries were together. I love Acotar and I love Harry Potter. So why not add them together. None of the characters (expect for Aunt Lena and Carrie) are mine. They all belong to Sarah J. Mass. And Harry Potter belongs to J. K. Rowling.
Summary: Nesta is turned 11 today. So what does she do for her first birthday present? Why, going to the zoo of course!
Nesta was a bright young girl. Smart. Diligent. King. Brave. All the qualities of a good girl. So why was the Archeron family treating her like crap?
A hard knock at the door to her bedroom interrupted her frim her thoughts. “Up girl! Up!” Nesta heard as irritated voice from the other side of the door. That was her aunt. Lena Archeron. She hated Nesta the most. Always complaining on how she wished she was never born but 11 year old Nesta never knew why.
That’s right. Eleven. Nesta was eleven years old today. Not like anyone cared. “I’m coming.” She yelled from the room. Nesta got up from her bed and stretch out her back. It ached from top to bottom. She complained that the mattress was too hard for her back to sleep on, but she didn’t receive a new one. Nesta rubbed the sleepiness from her eyes and dressed herself in her favorite outfit: a black shirt with rip jeans and a white belt.
As Nesta made her way downstairs , she was mindful of the last step. It was filled with cobwebs and rat feces topped with Aunt Lena’s leftover meatloaf crumbs. Nesta gagged and jump down the rest of the way.
When Nesta made her way into the kitchen she notices that the table was set like a birthday party. Her eyes lit up. Could it be? Did the family really remember her birthday?
Thinking just that thought, Nesta made her way to the table where the chair was decorated with pink wrapping paper glued with yellow stars. The streamers were golden with sparkles and some letters were on the back of the chair. It read, ‘Happy Birthday’.
Nesta, smiling from ear to ear, moved forwards to sit in the chair. “What do you think you’re doing child!?” Nesta froze and quickly turned around to face Aunt Lena. Nesta didn’t respond. She was too frozen with shock. “It’s Carrie’s birthday. Now start making the girt baskets!”
Carrie. Carrie’s birthday, of course. Nesta should’ve known this. The Archeron family doesn’t remember her birthday, They only remember Carrie’s. The girl living right across from her bedroom. Nesta always hated her. She would get anything she wanted for her birthday. A pony, a palace, a puppy, you name it. She was the perfect little spoiled brat.
Nesta nodded her head, her smile long gone from her face. “Yes ma’am.”
-------------
“Mother! Look! Look!” Carrie shouted as she pointed to a large boa constrictor. After Carrie’s 11th birthday party, the Archerons went to the zoo to look at the animals. Well, more like torment them. Carrie has been pressing her face to the glass non-stop. It was driving Nesta crazy.
Carrie started to tap the glass of the snake. “Come on move!” she yelled, the soundwave generating across the room. Nesta covered her face with embarrassment. Carrie groaned. “Mother, make it move!” Aunt Lena came by the girl’s side and tapped the glass as well. Nesta, refusing to take it anymore, sighed in frustration. “He’s trying to sleep Carrie. Leave him alone.”
“Come on honey, let’s look at the chameleon.” Surprised to see that her aunt had ignored her, Nesta watched them go to the other reptile.
Nesta looked at the boa constrictor, its head looking up to see her. “Hi there.” she said as the snake slythered around the cage. “I’m Nesta. Are you hungry?” The snake stuck his tongue out and grinned. Nesta placed her hand on the glass and grinned back.
“I wish I could help you. That way, you could see your family.” Nesta replied. The snake turned his head to the left (Nesta’s right) to stare at three words that were on the wall: ‘Born in Captivity.’
Nesta nodded in understanding. “I see. I don’t have a family either.”
“Mother!” Nesta didn’t have time to stop the blow that Carrie gave her as she pushed her to the ground. Carrie pressed her face to the glass window again, her smile wide with excitement.
Nesta boiled with rage. Why did she have to be the one to get all the presents? Why did she get to go to places and not her? Why does she get to have friends?
Why does she get to have a family?
Like a gunshot to the chest, the sound of a glass breaking filled the air. Nesta only saw a glimpse of Carrie’s surprised face before she fell into the boa constrictor’s cage. The boa snake paid no mind to the screaming girl who fell into the pond. Instead, he slythered his way to Nesta who gulped a bit and stared at the snake. He looked....relieved. “Thank you Nesta.” the snake said brushing his head on Nesta’s cheek. The sensation tickled as Nesta giggled. “Anytime.” she replied as the snake slythered away into the outside world snapping at anyone that got near him.
After the boa left, Nesta looked towards Carrie who was struggling to get up. “Are you alright?” Nesta asked even though she didn’t mean it. Carrie was up on her feet, rubbing her hand over her head. “Of course I’m fine you-” Carrie didn’t finish her thought because she realized that she couldn’t get out of the cage “Huh? What? Mommy!” she cried, banging on the somehow unbroken glass.
Immediately, Aunt Lena came to Carrie’s side, just as surprised as her own daughter. “Carrie, what happened?” Carrie began to cry. “I don’t know. Help me mommy!” Nesta covered her mouth so to not reveal the smile on her face. She won’t admit it out loud, but seeing Carrie so helpless like this just makes her want to-
“Stop it Nesta!” Nesta froze in shock. Oh no. She must’ve been laughing out loud. Not good.
Aunt Lena glared at the blond girl and grabbed her by the back of her neck. “Hey! Ouch! Let me go!”
“You think this is funny to you!” She yelled, her anger exceeding all of the screaming from the pedestrians.
Nesta couldn’t help it. She was laughing to hard. Aunt Lena growled. “Alright then, how about another two hours in the cellar.” Now that made Nesta stop laughing for good.

The brothers + undateables react to the MC bringing her small child to RAD because no one in the human world is available to babysit, and they can’t leave a three-year-old alone. Bonus points if at some point, the kid runs up to them with something in their mouth, and when questioned, the kid spits out a rock or something.
IVE ALWAYS IMAGINED THIS IN MY HEAD BUT NOBODY EVER SUGGESTED IT SO OMG THIS MAY BE A BIT LONG-
Brothers + Dateables Reaction to MC Bringing Their Kid to RAD
————————————
Lucifer
He had no idea you had a child honestly but considers it none of his concern
Well, not until you asked him to help out in babysitting that is, suddenly all his stress comes back
At first, the child was hyper, running around, stealing things, climbing on his lap and distracting him from work, he can’t count the amount of times he’s had to save this child from throwing themselves out the nearest window or getting flattened by all his records and books
One time, he caught the child running around with something in their mouth only to spit out a whole rock. Easy to say he was traumatised
But he couldn’t get over how much this small child looked and acted like you and he would never tell anyone, but he completely fell in love with your kid
He’s honestly the best babysitter, checking up on them constantly and keeping them company. The headaches he got from them though were a minor set back for him
Offers to be a regular babysitter as he enjoyed time with them so much and he loves all the little quirks that they share with you
Mammon
Since when did you have a kid?! With who?!
Couldn’t believe it at first but he couldn’t deny this small human looked quite a lot like you and he honestly started to quickly fall in love
Wasn’t so keen on the idea of babysitting but he soon came around as your kid became his new sneaky thief. Lucifer would never dream about harming your child, would he?
Turns out the kid was a huge nightmare, just like his human, and he had to stop the kid from killing themself several times a day. He even had to claw a whole damn rock out of this kids mouth
He was actually pretty cool with the kid when they weren’t causing trouble, though, playing games and talking to them, making them laugh and yeah, he cried when they gave him a little hug
He got flustered at the fact this was your child he was currently looking after and he may or may not have imagined you two having your own children and looking after this one together
He may babysit the kid again… for 500 Grimm, of course, he’s not a charity
Leviathan
He’s not good with children! Don’t leave him with your child!
At first he was shocked you even had a kid. Since when?! But then you dropped this tiny human in his arms and went about your day
Not too sure what babies like at first and he tried multiple things just to entertain them for long enough that he could play his game in peace
To no avail though, the kid was a nightmare, shoving shit in their mouth and causing him to go into panic mode, knocking over his figurines and distracting him from his game
They honestly settled down eventually though as your kid crawled into his lap and snatched the phone from his hands, beginning to laugh at the game on the screen
He’s the cool babysitter. He taught them how to beat the levels in his game, talked to them about his favourite anime’s and even let them play with Henry for a while, this kid quickly had his entire heart
He doesn’t know what came over him but he weirdly wouldn’t mind looking after your kid again if you needed him to… maybe it’s just because they reminded him so much of you though
Satan
Like Lucifer, he didn’t want to be involved with your kid in all honesty
But surprise, he now has your kid wrapped up in his arms for the whole day
He tried his best to keep them company at first even if they were a nightmare. He can’t even begin to count the amount of times this kid ran off and hid and shoved stuff in their mouths only to spit out a pebble or two…
He did enjoyed reading to them though, watching them smile and clap their hands when they heard a part they found particularly amusing and then attempt to read it back in their jumbled baby language
He actually started to really like your child and the two of them went cat searching later on in the day, petting all the cats they saw and sneakily feeding them leftovers from the kitchen
He definitely liked the child more when they were worn out and more calm and they just hopped up to sat on his lap and started poorly reading the book out loud to him in gibberish, but either way, he liked watching the child learn and enjoy reading
He offers to look after the kid more often, he didn’t mind. It was your child after all
Asmodeus
Oh well aren’t you cutest little thing~?
Yeah easy to say he was immediately drawn to this tiny, adorable 3 year old of yours and happily took them in with open arms
The two of them spent the day painting eachothers nails and Asmo brushing your child’s hair, putting in little clips and bows and telling them how pretty they look
For some reason, the child was pretty behaved in Asmo’s care, not including the time they came way too close to eating nail polish and he almost had a heart attack
Gave eachother lots of hugs and he couldn’t stop complimenting them and loving every single time the kid laughed or smiled, it reminded him of you in a way, you two really were similar
He enjoyed being around the kid when they were calm and sleepy as it gave him a good opportunity to just relax without the stress of thinking the kid will eat something they’re not supposed to
He definitely will take care of them more often if you ever need a babysitter, he’d be happy to!
Beelzebub
… is it edible?
After going through the rules of ‘no eating the 3 year old’ with him, he’s actually a pretty good babysitter and took good care of them while you were busy
He always knows when they’re hungry and will feed them whatever they ask, maybe sometimes a little bit too much food though but hey, at least they look happy
He caught them with something in their mouth the one time and he immediately thought they snagged his food, but all of a sudden, they spat out a whole rock and honestly, he gets it. Sometimes he gets hungry enough to eat rocks too…
The two get along well honestly, sharing meals and watching TV and Beel even invites Belphie to help look after your kid so it was just the two of them playing with this tiny human child for hours in the attic
Beel loves the child’s smile, it reminds him of you, and their laugh and the way they give him little leg hugs. Truthfully, he loved your kid so much
Kinda sad when they have to leave; offering to babysit whenever you want him to because he just loves them so much
Belphegor
You really expect him to be able to look after a child? He’ll pass…
But before he knew it, a kid was sat on his bed and you were gone and already he was fed up
Weirdly though, looking at your kid brought him this odd inner peace kind of feeling where he just wants to hold them and never let go. Maybe it was because the kid was yours and it reminded him so much of you…?
He kind of just naps with them more than he should for the entire day. He knows 3 year olds like to sleep and that’s his specialty so he thought why not
When the two of them are awake, he spends it in the planetarium looking up at the stars and teaching the child all the names and alignments or eating way too much downstairs with Beel
There was a time where he had to forcefully snatch this stone out of the child’s mouth after running after them for hours, and then lecture them on how they can’t do that and then he had to take another nap due to being absolutely exhausted but besides from that, the child was pretty sleepy, all day
Yeah ok maybe he fell for your child and maybe he’ll babysit them again, but expect him to complain about it first
Diavolo
He’s actually really happy you came to him first to look after your child :)
Honestly, he’s such a sweetheart towards the small child, but he definitely gave in several times to those irresistible puppy eyes and ended up spoiling them
He was also sort of busy with work so the kid tended to just sit on his lap and play with his free hand and would sometimes run off without him noticing only to come back hand in hand with Barbatos who found them digging through the trash
He wasn’t any good at discipline so whenever they came back covered in trash he kinda just laughed it off and sat them back down, he’s too sweet to yell at such a small and helpless human
He can’t remember the last time he had such fun though. The child was sweet to him and he very much enjoyed watching the antics of a normal 3 year old human with hyper tendencies
They took walks around the garden together, helping them pick little flowers and putting them in their hair, watching them laugh and smile afterwards
The child reminded him of you and that just made them even more lovable to him and it was easy to say he’d without a doubt babysit your kid any time
Barbatos
Never expected you to want him to take care of your child but he’ll do his best
He was sort of busy the entire day and couldn’t take care of the child as much as he planned to but he made sure the child was happy either way
The two of them cleaned up together, Barbatos handing the kid a little feather duster and showing them how to properly clean, watching them enjoying themselves and laughing in the corner of his eye
He did have to scold them a few times for misbehaving and eating things they shouldn’t though, especially random pebbles from outside
When he wasn’t cleaning or tending to paperwork, he took the child on little walks around the garden, enjoying the way the small kid laughed and smiled at all the flowers and butterflies, their arm swinging from side to side cheerfully, causing him to smile too
Easy to say he fell in love hard pretty quickly, noticing the way they took after you and how polite and sweet they were towards him
He wouldn’t mind looking after them again, just perhaps when he’s less busy…
Simeon
He already has Luke but he supposes one more couldn’t hurt
He’s a great babysitter really, no complaints and rarely any misbehaving on the child’s end except for a few times throughout the day where he had to desperately stop them from swallowing rocks
But other than that, the child was pretty calm, following him around and laughing at his awfully made jokes; their hand normally attached to his trouser leg so they didn’t get lost
He loved how the child reminded him of you, their mannerisms and the way they acted were so similar and he couldn’t help but laugh and fall deeper in love with this tiny, peculiar human
He spent a lot of the day having a small tea party with them, sharing biscuits and hot chocolate for the child and tea for him, watching them pour him tea then laugh as he takes a sip
When he needed to do something quickly, he left the child with Luke and then came back to legitimately the most heartwarming game of monopoly between two small children he’s ever seen
He would without a doubt babysit again if you ever need him to, it’s no trouble honestly
Solomon
You’d really trust your kid with him? Really?
He’s honestly really happy you’d entrust them with him though and he’ll make sure to not get them killed
He’s actually really good at babysitting though: making sure they’re always laughing until they’re falling over, showing them cool spells to entertain them, playing games and seeing how badly he can scare the shit out of them without making them cry
Solomon’s that one cool babysitter you always have that’s cool in a bad way, like he’ll make you dinner but he’ll also burn the entire house down, but hey, at least he’s funny
He’ll randomly sneak up behind the kid and yell ‘boo’ just for the fun of it and if they cry, it’s Simeon’s problem now
He absolutely adores it when the kid follows him around and laughs at every little thing he does, it’s like he has his own personal fan
Kinda disappointed when the kid has to leave but make sure to call him to babysit again
Luke
Finally, someone that’s shorter than him!
He kinda just hangs around the kid all day, keeping them company with games and jokes and cheering them up if they start to miss you
He even attempts to teach them how to play monopoly with him but eventually finds out that 3 year olds cannot play monopoly…
Though he isn’t the one actually babysitting, he sure is a good playmate towards the child and they seem to enjoy his company at least
The days full of laughter and just two children having fun, which is a sight to see for everyone at Purgatory Hall
They’ll take walks around together, Luke immediately regretting his decisions and panicking when they put a rock in their mouth and he has to negotiate with them to spit it out
Yeah alright maybe he’s a little sad that they’re leaving so soon, so make sure they come visit again!

BTS Reaction || Child Interrupts A VLive [Request]
Tumblr media
A/N: I never want to give the children names in these because I feel like I would name them wrong, but if you guys would prefer me to start adding names for the children let me know x I love you x
Seokjin:
It wasn't easy getting the twins ready for bed, especially when Jin was busy doing something else,
"I want to see daddy!" You daughter screamed looking over at the door but you pulled her back into the bathroom brushing her teeth and getting her twin brother ready. They were only 5 years old and hadn't quite grasped onto the concept that their father was a busy man who was spending time with Army right now,
"He's busy baby." You whispered to her as she sat on the floor with a pout, she got that from Jimin finding out he got his way whenever he pouted in front of his partner and she decided to adopt onto that and use it at home.
"Be a good girl, you don't see your brother pouting over his dad do you?" You teased squeezing her cheek and getting your son dressed, you were so lost in trying to get your son into the onesie you hadn't heard the door open and you daughter sprinting down the long hallway towards Jin's study. The door he usually kept locked when he was working crept open and she walked into the frame, waving the Army and sitting on her dad's lap,
"Oh hey baby, where's your mum?" He questioned her chuckling as she picked up some food and began eating along with him, another EatJin episode but with a surprise guest. Army were eating it up and loving every second of it, you silently stood in the doorway with her brother on your hip watching them interact with one another. Jin questioned her about her day as if it was just a meal at the dinner table and then she would ask him what Army were saying about her willing to answer all of their questions if there were any.
"I think we should do another episode another day when they can prepare, right now you have to go to bed." He told her being able to read the look on your face, you weren't impressed that she was sitting there and had disobeyed you no matter how cute it looked.
"Come on, let your dad finish his time with Army." She kissed him goodnight before turning to the camera and blowing them all a kiss,
"Goodnight Army." She whispered rushing over to you and her already sleeping brother and going to bed.
Tumblr media
Yoongi:
Hoseok and Yoongi were doing an old-style VLive together they decided they wanted to watch people reacting to their videos and songs so they went onto Youtube and began watching. Your son, on the other hand, was getting impatient of not being able to see his dad and was starting to throw a tantrum, he wanted to spend time with his dad and Uncle Hoseok who he hadn't seen in a couple of weeks. Things at the studio had been crazy and this was the first time either of them were finally getting to relax a little bit,
"No baby, come on watch this. Daddy is on the screen." But it wasn't enough for him and you knew that you began playing with his hair to try and relax him enough to take a nap. He got that from his dad if you stroked his hair for long enough he would eventually just fall asleep but he was being too bratty to fall asleep easily for you.
"I want to see daddy now." You sighed at him and text Yoongi to see if it was okay for him to come up but he ignored his phone and continued on with the video with Hoseok. You knew you weren't supposed to go in and bother him but your son was starting to cry and it wouldn't be long until the screaming began, you weren't supposed to give in because it taught them if they screamed enough they would get what they wanted but it was getting to be a joke.
"How about I make snacks instead and we watch a movie?" He stopped crying and nodded eagerly watching as you walked into the kitchen before he made his break for it sprinting up the stairs and barging into the home studio where Yoongi embraced him and continued reacting with him there.
They all came downstairs an hour later and you had your arms folded across your chest tapping your foot on the floor,
"Someone's in trouble." Hoseok sang making a quick break for the front door and leaving you and Yoongi to go scold your son for misbehaving.
Tumblr media
Hoseok:
Since the moment your daughter could walk she'd enjoyed dancing, she was always dancing with you and her dad whenever she had the chance and she was attending a dance school for extra lessons so it was no surprise that when you were visiting the studio to bring Hoseok something to eat she immediately went into the Live he was doing and began dancing with him. You had no idea he was even live when you arrived so you figured they were just dancing together until you saw the phone pointed at them and Hoseok laughing about how good she was at the dance they were doing. You sat on the floor behind the camera reading through the comments for any questions to ask Hoseok and your daughter when they finished their routine,
"Does she get her dancing from Y/n or from Hoseok?" You called out and Hoseok laughed,
"I'm the better dancer...so me." You scoffed at him getting up and walking into frame,
"Excuse me I think we all know I am." You joked poking his chest and looking at your daughter who was shaking your head, she walked in front of the phone and smiled.
"I have the talent, it's all me. I'm the best dancer." You and Hobi both started laughing out of shock and she began dancing around the room again, showing everyone what she had learnt in class all week. Army were eating it up while you and Hoseok were still processing how sassy she was,
"She gets it from you." You both said in unison before laughing and going to sit by the phone to watch her continue the Vlive on her own. Army always loved watching you guys together and they especially loved whenever your daughter would show off the talent she got from her dad, no matter how many times she said it was her own.
Tumblr media
Namjoon:
Namjoon was in his home studio doing the usual Album talk he always did whenever they put a new album out so you were trying to keep your son entertained by playing with different toys but he didn't seem bothered by any of them, all he wanted to do was go and sit with his dad. Something they did together a lot, they would just sit together in silence or your son would read his books while Namjoon read his and it was one of the sweetest things you'd ever laid eye upon but Namjoon strictly told you both that he had to be alone for this session.
"Dad said no, come on." You mumbled trying to get him to have some interest in the lego's you had in the house but he wasn't bothered his eyes were locked onto the door as he thought of a way to get in there. He was smart just like his dad so you had to watch him like a hawk,
"Not happening buddy," You warned him but it wasn't going to stop him he had the mind of Kim Namjoon and the rest of him was made up from things he'd picked up from his six devilish uncles that taught him all their tips and tricks.
"I mean it." Too late he was up and over to the door before you could even get up from the floor, the door was open and he was inside rushing to sit on his dad lap.
"Sorry Joon, he beat me to it." You whispered when you reached the door but Namjoon shook his head and called you over, letting you say hello to everyone before apologising to them for interrupting their time with Namjoon but they didn't mind, they loved seeing you all together like the happy family you were.
Tumblr media
Jimin:
The Vlive was playing through your phone while you were trying to feed your baby daughter, trying because your 5-year-old son kept trying to go and find Jimin who was the one doing the Vlive.
"He's busy." You told him but he shook his head pointing at the screen,
"He's drawing! I want to draw." You sighed putting your daughter in her crib and taking your son over to the desk where there were things he could draw with there but he wasn't having it, he pouted out his bottom lip and stared up at you.
"Just because that works with your dad doesn't mean it will work with me." You told him sliding him some pencils and crayons but he was still sitting there and giving you the giant puppy dog eyes, damn his dad,
"Baby you can draw here,"
"I want to draw with dad." He turned away from you and stared at the wall, another trick he did with his dad and Jimin would cave him automatically giving him whatever he wanted.
"Won't work." You mumbled kissing him on the head and going over to your stirring daughter, your son waited until he knew you were busy before he snuck out of the room going into Jimin's study.
"Hi buddy, who let you in here?" You heard Jimin ask over the phone and you groaned taking your daughter with you to go and get him, when you walked into the study they were both sat together colouring and talking to Army about anything they wanted to know.
"He pouts to get his own way!" You called out to Army making Jimin chuckle,
"Just like his dad!" You called out again taking our daughter to feed her and put her to sleep.
Tumblr media
Taehyung:
Taehyung was doing his FM show with Army, talking about their problems, or anything they wanted to talk about with him. Your daughter was watching him while you laid in bed watching him on your phone, her head as laid down against your chest as you both watched her dad.
"What was that?!" She yelled as she felt the baby kick, you giggled at her before clutching where he'd kicked your stomach.
"Your brother is pretending to play football." You joked watching as she placed her hand on your stomach and started whispering to him as though she was having a real conversation with him,
"Okay, I'll go get dad." She ran off before you could stop her and you waddled to follow her into Tae's home studio, she smiled at the camera knowing what he was doing.
"Baby brother wants you," You waddled into view and he smiled up at you waving you over to his side so he could feel the baby kicking,
"See, he's happy." Your daughter said to Tae who was now answering questions about the baby, due date, what names you guys were thinking of.
"What about me, ask me questions." You daughter demanded making you and Tae laugh as she tried to read through the fast-moving comments on the screen in front of her, giving up and leaving the room.
Tumblr media
Jungkook:
The hotel room was just as boring for you as it was for your son who was waiting for Jungkook to come and play a board game with you both but he was doing a Vlive to catch up with Army and spend time with them and your son didn't want to play until Jungkook was with you both.
"Well how about we play a card game instead?" You questioned him but he pouted staring at the door expecting his dad to be in any second, in reality, you hadn't thought this through enough. You were going to see Jungkook for a week while he was on tour and you hadn't thought he would be too busy to come and entertain your son.
"Okay well, have a bath first and it'll pass the time," He nodded and you went into the en-suite to start running him a bath, coming back a couple of minutes later to find him that he was gone and the hotel door that connected the rooms together was open,
"Jungkook I'm sorry." He shook his head at you sitting his son on his lap and laughing as he started talking to Army about his day and what you were both planning to do after the Vlive ended.
"What if we play on screen? Spend time with extended family?" You nodded at Jungkook finding no problem with it and by the look of the chat below the Vlive Army loved the idea as well.

a cup of tea for the handsome man ♡ geordi la forge x reader
anon: OKAY concept: Geordi had a failed valentines date, and reader (who crushes hard) is like “bruh hang out with MEEE” a la Taylor swifts “you belong with me”
gender neutral reader, geordi ain’t straight,
Tumblr media
gif doesn’t really match but it’s cute ok! not proof read.
‘Maybe you can accompany my friend Geordi La Forge today.’ Data bluntly asks as you both walk down a stone covered street.
‘Data, I swear to the stars, stop!’ you whine to your android friend who currently still wears his yellow dress uniform despite it being shore leave.
‘I am only asking because Geordi seems to be by himself.’ Data holds up the cat carrier that he holds, wiggling his finger to Spot, ‘Please calm down Spot.’
You are Lieutenant (Y/n) (l/n), though most people call you (y/n) and ever since you have met Data you have both been found friends. You are interested in robotics and androids, so the friendship came naturally.
However, Data doesn’t have many out of work friends. He mostly hangs around you, Spot and a very handsome man by the name of Geordi La Forge.
‘Just because I’m your friend does not mean I’m automatically his, Data.’ You tug at the draw strings of your oversized hoodie straighten the out strings.
‘Yes, but you are technically mutuals for you both have me as your friend.’ Data looks at you with a blank stare, ‘And you are normally alone so you need another friend.’
If you haven’t been friends with the yellow tinted man then you would have told him off.
It is somewhat true; you do spend a lot of time in engineering and most of your really good friends are stationed on different ships. But you want to spend you shore leave on earth doing something fun, not awkwardly trying to befriend Geordi La Forge, a man you have fancied for quite a while.
If Data has some more common sense the he would see your heart eyes towards his dear friend but he doesn’t; all he sees is a hermit engineer who needs a buddy whilst Data isn’t around.
‘Data, why has this come on? I’m alone most of the time!’ you have plans and it doesn’t involve trying not to out your crush to a clueless Geordi or Data.
‘I just do not want my friends be lonely.’
Data’s eyebrows frown as you two stop in front of a veterinary practice.
‘Just because me and Geordi will be alone when you take Spot to get her check-up doesn’t mean we will be lonely.’
‘But you will both be alone.’ he deliberates.
‘We will be fine Data.’ You place a hand on your friend’s arm, ‘If you want, we can all meet up after Spot’s check up and I can officially meet Geordi, ok?’
‘I would like that very much (y/n).’ Data sincerely smiles.
He nods his head and then walks into the small vets.
You shake you head in amusement at your dear friend’s worry as you begin walking down the street.
‘Data, data, data.’ You think with an amused smile blooming on your face.
For about ten minutes you wonder the streets aimlessly, looking at the plants that grown up the shop fronts and the old Roman roads. Benches are in the middle of the ‘roads’ that are really used for pedestrians to walk on, tram cars sliding by the painting like scenery.
Whilst wondering a small alleyway catches your eyes.
It’s not a dingy alleyway with bins and a dead end but it’s actually a little nook filled with cafes and small hobby shops.
Looking both ways you walk across the street into the alley, every bump of the pathway felt even in you tick soled trainers.
Passing a few shops your eyes land on a small round of metal tables, some filled with people, outside a small two-story café.
You walk in, a heartly woman automatically greeting you from the counter at the back. The place is very small and thin but it does not feel claustrophobic. There is a cottage core vibe to it, the place lit up by the huge widows at the front and the fairy lights shaped like hearts.
The downstairs seems to be the place to order food and drink, a peak of a small kitchen at the back can be seen from an open door past the counter.
‘Um hello.’ You say back to the woman whilst you wipe your feet on the welcome mat, ‘What’s good here?’
‘Well first are you allergic to anything my dear?’
You answer the question and tell the woman what kind of tea you like.
‘Well because today is Valentine’s day, we have our cake special that I think is perfect for you!’
You look at the slice of cake the woman points at in the little display case.
‘It’s freshly baked, I made it just this morning!’
‘Yeah, sure, it looks nice. I’ll have a slice.’ You need to indulge yourself every now and then.
She slides a cup of your favourite tea and a slice of cake to you. You pay with you card, leaving a good tip.
‘The upstairs is the best place sit.’ She says as you take your plate and cup.
With a nod you ascend the steps to the upstairs to see the prettiest room you’ve ever seen.
The room’s roof is a giant glass window and there is many potted plants that look like they’re growing up the walls. Tables are littered around, each one with a different flower on it, some customers are using the built in holo computer screens.
You find a small two four person table near the back and you sit down breathing in the faint smell of pollen that doesn’t actually tickle your nose into a sneeze.
‘Hum, could be fake plants?’ you think as you take a sip of your tea.
.
.
For a while you just eat and browse the holo screen at your table, emersed and doom scrolling through blogs about robotics.
You had sent a message to Data telling him where you are and telling him to come here when he was done with Spot’s check up.
It must have been half an hour at staring at the screen. You had finished the pink decorated cake and your tea was almost done as well.
With achy eyes you peer up and look around the room.
There seems to be the same people albeit a couple new faces.
In on corner to your right is a mother with her child who you hadn’t noticed, an older person sits clicking on old keyboard laptop and a new younger man sits waiting next to the giant window overlooking the alleyway.
Even though this man is far away you can tell that he’s a good looking man. Said person wears a short sleeve patterned button down reminiscent of the 1990’s, the blues stripes bold against the cottage core interior of the café. The shirt is tucked into some brown slacks, that are rolled up at the bottom and held up by a shiny black belt. Block coloured peek out from his trousers and equally shiny black shoes.
If you would try to pull off such a vintage outfit but all you ever wear is your work uniform or oversized hoodies, making you look like a in debt college student. Right now you look like a in debt college student in your Starfleet branded hoodie and shorts that are comfy but childish in colour scheme.
‘I bet this café attracts all the fashionable types.’ You think sipping the last of your tea only to spit out in surprise.
The man in the retro shirt turns around only to reveal a very familiar yellow and silver visor.
‘Fuck, he’s even more good looking!’ your mind becomes scrambled, ‘Was he always there? Does he know I’m here? Should I go over and say hi?’
Your eyes stay on Geordi as he keeps on peering out of the big window, him looking like he’s waiting for someone.
‘Maybe he’s waiting for Data?’ it’s a logical assumption that Data told him to meet him in the café you are in. A check up for a cat doesn’t take that long right?
You leave you cup and plate on you table and start to edge your way over to the handsome man.
You’re not sure if what you’re doing is right but you step next to his table, with a big smile on your face and hand raised up in a too enthusiastic wave.
‘Geordi La Forge, right?
Geordi’s snaps up to yours, his face looks slightly confused in that puppy kid of way.
‘Sorry, I’m (y/n), Data’s friend.’ you stop waving so you don’t look so odd, ‘Um, I saw you here and wanted to say that Data will be coming here after Spot’s vet appointment. Sooooo, if you want to join, my table is free.’
Whilst you happily talk Geordi’s face morphs into a sweet smile. You quickly look down to his two person table to see to sets of cups and two slices of heart themed cupcakes, clearly for another half.
‘Though you don’t have too if you have plans.’
‘He talks about you a lot.’ Geordi declares, ‘Too much sometimes.’
‘Well I am a brilliant person.’ you lean against the window trying to look cool but the hoodie you drown in just makes you look dishevelled.
There is an awkward pause before you just stop leaning as start walking away.
‘I see you might be busy, so I’m over here-‘ you point over to your table, ‘-yeah.’
With some more muttered pleasantries you shuffle back to your table hoping tha he doesn’t find you too weird. With you bum on the seat you wave you hand at the holo screen unlocking it from it’s sleeping state before quickly looking up to catch Geordi looking at you.
With another odd wave you hunch down and resume reading an article cybernetic enhancements in the medical field but every ten minutes or so you have to look up at Geordi.
One time you looked up he was staring out the window, another time he was stirring his drink like it was the most interesting thing in the world, and now you’re looking at him rapidly typing out something on a communicator.
With your tea and cake devoured you quickly stand up to go downstairs to order some more tea. You look around and hope that no one takes your table, the tope floor is pretty empty now, and the holo screen on the table is still on.
It takes about five minutes but you bound up the stairs with not one but two cups of tea.
Hurried you head over to Geordi’s table and slide him one of you cups, making the man look up to you with another look of confusion.
‘Hot tea turned cold isn’t the best so I got you another cup.’ and with another small wave you walk back your table.
‘Smooth (y/n), he’s going to like me now!’ a Cheshire cat grin blooms as you take a sip of you drink.
As you fangirl/fanboy over your ‘move’ a person slides in the seat opposite you.
‘Is it still ok to sit.’ Geordi asks holding his cup of tea.
‘Well you’re technically already sitting down.’ you turn of the holo screen with your hand, ‘But you can stay, if that’s what you’re asking.’
You look at Geordi, gaze unchanged, confidence oozing out of you.
‘I’d imagine that Data will be here soon.’ you lean forward a bit, ‘So we should acquaint each other before he does.’
‘I guess you already know who I am. I know who you are… thank you for the tea by the way.’
‘I don’t want to be a nosy so and so but why were you alone.’ You ask hoping you don’t sound rude.
‘I can ask the same thing to you.’ He quips back.
‘Had nothing to do and went exploring, found thing place. You?’ you press.
‘I got stood up.’ He plainly puts it, ‘Was chatting to someone in engineering and yeah…’
Geordi looks deflated as he gulps his drink.
‘Which dick stood you up, I can set my robot on them.’ he looks up at you with a bright smile.
‘You have a robot?’
‘It’s my thing.’
Another pause o silence happens before Geordi speaks.
‘Lieutenant James Sibell.’ as he says the name a disgusted scoff comes from you lips, your face distorted in disgusted.
‘That bastard man!’ you hand fly up in a comical rage, ‘Good job you have me to keep you company.’
Geordi laughs at your words, a small pit of joy growing in his heart, he must tell Data later that he has a good friend in you and that he should have introduced you two sooner.
.
.
Data step up the stairs of the café, spot in her cat carrier, and a slice of cake.
He only bought the cake out of curiosity, the cake having rainbow icing and little sugar heart shaped sweets on top.
When he gets to the top he automatically scans the room. His eyes land on a table near the back, his two closets friends chatting together, both sitting rather close.
.
.
.
i have no clue if this is good. it’s long-ish but that doesn't necessarily equate to it being the best.
please tell me if it’s good or not.

The Things You Give Part 16
eteven Hyde X Reader
Here is part 16! I know it’s a little short, but I’m hoping I can still deliver! Let me know what you think. Tags list is open!
Tumblr media
Hyde and the rest of the boys didn’t return home from the party until almost five am. Y/n heard Eric and Hyde stumble their way downstairs and into their respective rooms before hearing Eric’s door quietly shut. So, it was a no surprise when she woke up around nine-thirty, the boys weren’t at the breakfast table.
“Hi Ma,” she greeted Kitty in a chipper tone and sat down next to Red. “Hi, Daddy.”
“Hey, you seem to be feeling better,” Kitty commented and passed her a plate with eggs, bacon, and toast.
“I am. I finally feel like I have my appetite back,” Y/n said and greedily grabbed the plate, ready to dump the contents of it down her throat. Her stomach knotted and rumbled as she started shoveling food into her mouth. She hummed, satisfied.
“Boy, you’re really hungry,” Kitty said. “All that time throwing up, you got to put some stuff back in.
Y/n hummed again, this time in response. “I forgot how good food tastes.”
“So, where are the boys?” Kitty asked as she focused on her own food.
“They went out to a party last night and didn’t get home till late,” Y/n answered casually.
“Well, that explains the noises I heard,” Kitty answered. “Did you go with them?”
 “No, why?”
“Because I heard a girl’s voice last night and I thought it was you,” Kitty replied confused.
“What?” Y/n asked, suddenly not hungry anymore.
“What? Steven brought another girl home?” Red asked, annoyed, breaking the tension in the air. “He knows he’s not allowed to bring home any floozies home!”
“He brought home a girl?” Y/n asked, trying not to sound hurt. She shrugged, trying to come off as she didn’t care. She took a couple more bites before she couldn’t take it anymore and dropped her fork on her plate. “I’ll be right back.”
“Oh, honey, don’t tell me you’re feeling sick already,” Kitty asked, worried.
“Maybe. I think I ate too fast,” she lied and excused herself to the basement.
Down on the couch, she caught a blonde sleeping soundly on the couch. Her heart sank once again as she stormed her way into Steven’s room who was sleeping soundly in his bed. It took everything in her to not grab the nearest thing and beat him. Instead, she knelt beside him and gently kissed his lips, waking him.
He gently woke and slowly opened his eyes, grinning when he saw her. Clearly, he was still a little drunk.
           “Honey?” she said sweetly.
“Yeah, baby?” he croaked, his morning voice much deeper and dare she say it, very sexy. If she wasn’t seething, she’d want to do it with him right there and then.
“You want to tell me what the hell a girl is doing on the couch?!” she practically yelled.
Steven immediately sat up, sobering up quickly. “What?”
“Look, I know you’re still a little drunk, but there is a blonde bitch on my couch and I’d like to know why,” Y/n said and crossed her arms. “Who is she and what is she doing here?”
“That’s Amber,” he replied and sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
“Oh, Amber?” she couldn’t help but show her green side. “That doesn’t explain why the hell Amber is on my couch.”
“You think I brought her home?” Steven asked, feeling insulted.
           “That’s why I’m asking.”
“I can’t believe you’d think I’d do that to you!”
“Well, you still haven’t answered the question!”
“No, I didn’t bring her home!” he raised his voice, now standing in front of her. “Kelso brought her here and then ditched her when she passed out.”
“That doesn’t make any sense,” Y/n argued. “Why would Kelso bring a girl here and then ditch her?”
“I don’t know! We were all pretty sloshed last night,” Hyde answered. “God, why are you interrogating me?”
Now catching sight of his full face, she caught a slight red smudge across his lips. She could feel her heart physically breaking. “What’s that on your face?”
“What?” he asked and rubbed at his cheek.
“No,” she replied and brought a handheld mirror, that was laying on his bedside table, to his face. “What the hell is on your mouth? Is that lipstick?!”
Hyde was confused until he saw his reflection and did, indeed, see something red smudged on her face. His eyes widened in fear as he lowered the mirror and met her glazed eyes. If he were being honest, he barley remembered last night and didn’t know where that came from. “Wait, y/n. I can explain—”
Before she let him, she ran out the room to the couch where the girl was sleeping and looked at her face. She had a matching shade of lipstick, faded on her lips. She gasped and turned to him.
“How could you?!” she screamed at him, awaking Amber.
“What’s going on?” she slurred, valley girl accent mixed with sleepiness shined through.
“You kissed my boyfriend you slut!” Y/n screamed and lunged at her, but Steven caught her around her waist and pulled her back.
Amber scrambled for her shoes and her coat, running out the door. Y/n watched her leave and then slowly turned to Steven with her hands on her hips. She was fighting tears as she stared at the man before her; scared and trembling. Hyde knew he was about to lose her if he didn’t act quickly.
“Y/n, baby, please let me explain,” he said, shaking and reached out for her, but she quickly pulled away. Hurt flashed across his face, but quickly went away when he saw the tears racing down her cheeks. “I didn’t kiss her.”
“Then why do you have her lipstick on your lips?” she asked, her voice breaking.
He wanted to get on his knees and beg for her forgiveness, but he didn’t know what he would be begging her forgiveness for. He couldn’t remember last night. All he remembered were flashing and blurring lights, lots of alcohol, and chicks draping over him.
“I…don’t know,” he answered honestly. “I don’t remember anything from last night.”
She let out a choked sob and turned away from him. “You made out with some girl and don’t even remember it?”
“How could you assume that I made out with a chick without me remembering?” he asked, trying to be logical. “What if she kissed me?”
She turned back to him, her eyes red. “And did you let her?”
“I don’t think so,” he answered and screwed his eyes shut, fighting to remember the night before. “I remember her coming up to me and flirting with me, but then I turned away and that’s it. I can’t remember anything else.”
           “Well, try,” she snapped.
“Please, doll, you have to believe me,” he begged and grabbed for her hands. “I love you. I would never do that to you.”
“This is exactly what Zack did to me,” she whispered and didn’t even try to choke back a sob. She felt her chest start to collapse on her and she felt her legs grow weak. Hyde’s heart broke at the sight of her and felt an even heavier weight fall on his chest when he knew he couldn’t help her feel better. “I trusted you.”
“You can still trust me,” he said, his voice weak. “I didn’t do anything.”
“The lipstick says otherwise,” she growled and yanked her hands away from his. “I need some air. I can’t even look at you right now.”
She turned to leave and at that moment, Kelso walked through the door wearing fresh new clothes. Y/n pushed passed him without a word and ran up the cement stairs.
Kelso looked to Hyde who looked like he was about to collapse himself. “What happened?” he asked.
“Y/n thinks I cheated on her with that Amber chick,” he replied, legs wobbling. He took a seat on the couch and put his face in his hands, hunching over. “She doesn’t believe me when I say I didn’t. But given the way it looks, I probably wouldn’t believe me neither.”
“Well, that’s cause you didn’t,” Kelso said matter-of-factly and sat down beside him.
           “What?”
“She came onto you,” Kelso explained.
           “Again, what?”
“Well, Amber, for some reason, wanted you instead of me, so all night she was following you around like a lost puppy. When you left to use the restroom, that’s when she used the opportunity to get you alone and when she planted one on you, you pushed her away and told her to kick rocks.”
           “How do you know that?”
“Well, I saw the whole thing.”
           “And why was she here?”
“Because she was too drunk to go home and she couldn’t give Eric her address, so you let her crash here instead,” Kelso responded, knitting his eyebrows together.
Hyde’s eyes began to water, but he quickly covered them by rubbing his eyes and swiped a hand down his face. “Did Forman see anything too?”
“Yeah, he saw the whole thing.”
A light bulb went off in Hyde’s head and he jumped up. “I need you to help me prove that to y/n,” he said.
           “How?”
“I don’t know…maybe you and Forman can get her to sit down and listen.”
“You really think that’s going to work?”
           “It has to.”
“Alright, well when Forman wakes up, we need to find her,” Hyde said and made his way back to his room to change.
“Sounds like a plan, but first, coffee.”
                                            --Time Skip—
Y/n didn’t even know how she got there, but she somehow found herself driving to the water tower. She felt safest up there; isolated, alone, and quiet. Where the wind allowed her to weep and sob, wiping her tears as it carried the sounds away into the air. Where she felt the sun kiss her and envelope her in its warm embrace and the moon to shine brightly down at her, as if listening to her cries and rants.
She climbed her way up the tower and before she could sit down, she broke down into ugly and shuddering sobs. She trusted him. She trusted him. The feeling of his safety lied. It lied! The timer, the feeling, the love, all of it!
She brought a hand to her stomach and wondered what was going to happen now. She thought she felt hurt before, but this kind of pain was worse than she’s ever felt. She never thought this man would ever betray her or make her feel low as she did now. Her chest and stomach hurt, and she couldn’t tell if the nausea was coming from the crying or the pregnancy.
Tears continued to rain down her face as she looked up at the sky, asking God why? She had so many questions she wanted to ask, but her heart and soul wouldn’t allow her to. Why did she get stuck in situations with these kind of men? Why was she so stupid like this? Why did she have to fall in love with hers and brother’s best friend? But all she could think is, why?
She looked back down at herself and noticed how pathetic she must’ve looked. How embarrassed she was just to be up there, feeling alone, scared, humiliated, and most of all: hurt. How could she let another guy do this to her and worst of all, knock her up? Now, he was really going to leave her.
“Hey,” a soft voice said, pulling y/n out of her tumultuous thoughts.
“Hey,” she responded, watching as Donna pulled herself onto the water tower. “You hear what happened, huh?”
“Yep,” Donna answered and sat next to y/n.
“How did you know where to find me?”
Donna scoffed. “It was either here or Mt. Hump. Thought I’d check here first.”
Y/n couldn’t help but give her a half smile; A smile of appreciation. “Where is he?”
           “Looking for you.”
“I don’t want to see him right now.”
“Maybe you don’t, but you should really hear him out,” Donna said gently. “He has all of us looking for you.”
Elena groaned. “I’m a mess. I don’t want to see anybody right now.”
“Please?” she asked. “He really needs to explain what happened.”
“What’s there to explain?” Elena asked and wished she had a beer in her hand. “He kissed another chick.”
“Uhm, no. That’s actually not what happened.”
“Oh, he told you too?” Elena wiped at her face and glared at the trees in front of her.
“No, actually Eric and Kelso did.”
“What?” Elena asked and turned to Donna. “What does that mean?”
“Eric and Kelso saw the whole thing.”
           “And?”
Donna sighed and turned to look at y/n fully. “He was telling you the truth. I really think you should go talk to Eric and Kelso. They saw the whole thing.”
Y/n looked down at her shoes, fighting tears. “I haven’t even told him yet.”
“Well, now’s a good time, don’t you think?” Donna asked and brushed y/n’s hair off her shoulder. “It’s gives you a chance to explain your crazy hormones.”
“Hey, I didn’t overreact.” Donna gave her a look. “Okay, maybe a smidgen.”
“Look, you had every right to think and feel the way you did, but you didn’t have to attempt a murder on her.”
           “Yeah, that’s my bad.”
           “Come on, let’s go.”
Y/n followed Donna down the ladder only to be met with the group, minus Hyde, waiting for her at the bottom. “What the hell is this? I thought I was meeting everyone back at the basement?”
“Not yet,” Eric said, coming forward. “Y/n, you have to believe Hyde. He didn’t kiss that girl. She came onto him and when she did, he pushed her away.”
            Y/n’s face softened. “Really?”
“Yes,” he responded. “Kelso and I saw the whole thing.”
“Oh,” y/n sighed and sat down on the hood of the car. “Well, what do you guys expect me to believe when her lipstick is on his mouth?”
“I know. I would’ve thought the same thing,” Jackie answered and sat down next to her. “But Steven wouldn’t do that.”
“Yeah, he always said he doesn’t need the drama in his life to handle two chicks like when Kelso juggled Laurie and Jackie,” Donna chuckled.
“Hey, that was a bad time for me,” Michael defended.
“And then Hyde would say, ‘Bad for you, hilarious for us,’” Fez said, mocking the best American accent he could.
“I guess you guys are right,” Y/n said shamefully.
“Yeah, you should probably apologize to him,” Kelso said. “From what he told me, you went crazy when you saw Amber.”
Y/n scoffed. “I did not. I just don’t like other bitches coming onto him.”
“He said you lunged at her,” Eric deadpanned.
“Okay, yeah, well that I did, but—”
“You’re jealous,” Kelso smiled. “You love him! You think of another woman being all up in business and you lose it!”
“Okay, okay, that’s enough,” Y/n said waving her hand.
“But you loooooovvee him,” Kelso sang-song.
           “Kelso, stop,” Y/n warned.
Kelso laughed and leaned against the car. “That girl was hot though. I wonder if she’s hot in bed.”
Y/n shook her head and rubbed her temples.
“I mean, I can’t believe that she chose Hyde over me,” he continued, ignoring y/n’s death glare. “I’m the one with the good looks, not him.”
“Yeah,” Y/n responded. “But Hyde’s the one with the brains.”
“Yeah, but that’s not what chicks want.”
“What do we want then?” Donna challenged him.
“Well, you know, a good lookin’ guy who can please his woman,” Kelso answered as if it was obvious.
“You know what girls want right?” Y/n asked. “They don’t want a guy like you, who by the way, I’ve heard you’re not the best in the sack—”
“Jackie!” Kelso screeched, turning towards Jackie who was leaning against the car.
“What?!” she asked. “I didn’t say anything! Recently.”
“Jackie didn’t have to say anything,” Y/n answered. “You’ve slept your way around the whole town that almost every woman in this town have something in common with each other. Women talk, man.”
“Well, you know what, y/n? Guys don’t like girls like you: loud and not slutty,” Kelso retaliated.
“Is that supposed to be an insult?” Y/n laughed. “Alright, girls like guys that know how to read.”
“Guys like girls who aren’t bitches.”
“Girls like guys who’s thing isn’t small!” Y/n countered and narrowed her eyes. “Yeah, I’ve seen you when you streak, Kelso. It is not impressive as you say it is. Hyde definitely outdoes you.”
Donna laughed, Jackie exclaimed in shock while laughing, Fez yelled, “Burn!” and Eric screeched, causing y/n to smirk at Kelso.
“Yeah! Well,” Kelso countered off, cheeks puffing and reddening. “Guys don’t like chubby girls!”
Y/n’s smile dropped instantly. “That’s not funny! That’s not even true!”
Kelso mimicked the smirk y/n was wearing a minute prior. “But it is!” he continued. “You used to be really hot but here lately, you’re starting to puff up. Maybe you should jump on a treadmill, huh Chubsters?”
Y/n’s blood started to boil. She knew she was starting to look the slightest swollen, but she didn’t think anyone would notice, but of course Kelso notices everything on a woman’s body. That pig.
Kelso noticed that he was getting under her skin, so he kept going. “Yeah, I’m surprised Hyde hasn’t noticed how puffy your cheeks have gotten.”
Y/n gently brought her hands up to her burning face. She wanted to hit him—no, she wanted to puke on him, but she couldn’t control it like that. Donna and Jackie noticed her demeanor and shot Kelso a warning look, but of course he didn’t even acknowledge them.
“Don’t you bring Hyde into this!” Y/n practically screamed and Fez had to jump in front of y/n. With them so immersed in the conversation, no one heard the El Camino pull up behind them.
“Hey, hey calm down, now,” Fez whispered in her ear.
“No, I will not calm down!”
“Why? Does that bother you?” Kelso smirked.
“Kelso, I swear to God, if you don’t stop, I’m going to hit you so hard, your ancestors are going to feel it!” Y/n growled.
“It might actually make him smart for once,” Donna grumbled to Jackie who snickered.
“Why does it bother you so much anyway?” Kelso genuinely asked.
“Because I’m pregnant, you ass!” Y/n’s eyes widened as she realized what she just said. She looked over to see Donna and Jackie giving her the same look while Fez and Kelso stared at her open mouthed. She didn’t even want to turn around to see Eric’s reaction.
           “You’re pregnant?”
Y/n spun around to see Hyde standing behind her stiff as a board, eyes frantically searching her face. He was silently begging that he misheard.
“Steven,” she gasped. “What’re you doing here?”
“Looking for you,” he answered quietly. “You’re pregnant?” he repeated.
The air around them was so still that y/n could hear her own heart beating in his ears. With a shaky breath, she replied under her breath, “Yes.”
Behind them, Eric was fuming. He’d never felt rage like this before and could’ve sworn, all he needed to do was turn green and he’d be the Hulk.
“You got my sister pregnant, you son of a bitch?!”
“What—” Before Hyde could finish his sentence, Eric had him on the ground, punching him anywhere he could get his fist to land.
“Eric! Stop!” Y/n yelled and ran over to her twin brother, trying to get him off Steven.
Steven laid there, arms shielding his face as he tried to dodge Eric’s punches. For someone being as skinny as him, he had very sharp and painful blows.
“Get off of him!” Y/n continued to shout as she tugged on Eric’s shoulder, but he flicked her hand off him as if she was a pest. “Eric, stop! You’re going to hurt him!”
“I’m pretty sure that’s the idea,” Fez said and recoiled when y/n turned around to glare at him.
“Are you guys not going to do anything?!” she asked exasperated. Kelso and Fez still stood there in shock, not able to move.
Hyde managed to grab Eric’s fists and twist them, causing a painful shriek to escape him as he fell to Steven’s side. Steven quickly got up backed away from Eric.
“Forman, you need to calm down!” he shouted as Eric stood.
“No, I am not going to calm down!” he yelled. “I can’t believe you did this!”
“Hey, it’s not just him!” Y/n defended. “It takes two, you know.”
“I don’t even want to look at you right now,” Eric spat at his twin and turned back to Hyde. “I told you to be careful! Now crap is really going to hit the fan!”
“Eric, you need to calm down!” Donna called out to her irate boyfriend.
“How are you so calm?!” Eric’s eyes somehow grew bigger. “You knew, didn’t you?!”
“Yes, I did,” she answered calmly. “I was the first one she told.”
“And you didn’t tell me anything?!”
“No, because she asked that I didn’t.”
Eric turned to y/n. “Throughout all of this, why haven’t I been the one you can come to? You came to me for everything and now it’s like you want to keep me out completely.”
“It’s not that, Eric. It’s just…I didn’t know how to process this myself. I’m scared and I don’t know how I’m going to tell Mom and Dad!”
“You’re going to tell Dad?” Eric laughed. “Give me a heads up so that I’m not around.”
“Why are you being such a dillhole?” Y/n seethed. “Look, I know you’re beyond pissed right now, but I could really use your help.”
           “Why should I?” Eric snapped.
“Because when you and Donna thought she was pregnant last year, I did whatever I could to help and make sure you didn’t get slaughtered by dad!”
“Well, clearly, you didn’t do a great job because I still got my ass kicked!”
“Dad was going to send you off to military school and I begged him not to,” Y/n pointed out. “I needed you here then and I need you now.”
Eric’s eyes softened but did not leave her face.
“Please, Eric,” she begged and grabbed his hand. “I need my twin by my side throughout all of this. You can’t leave again.”
Eric stared in his twin’s tear-filled y/c/e and turned away before he could give in. “I…I need to be alone.”
He turned away and stormed back into his car, driving off. Y/n sighed and turned around to face the others.  Steven was staring at her while Donna and Jackie awkwardly stared at the ground. Kelso and Fez anxiously waited for anyone to say something.
           “Look, Steven, I—”
“How far along are you?” he cut in.
            Y/n swallowed hard. “Four weeks.”
Steven exasperated sighed. “You’re a month along and you didn’t even tell me?!”
“I tried!” she defended. “But every time I did, we kept getting interrupted.”
Steven turned away from her and ran a hand down his face. “Is it even mine?”
“Oh, dude,” Kelso sighed, shaking his head and nudged Fez. “Not even I did that.”
“You did try to deny it,” Fez responded. “Went as far as to run away out the bathroom window at the hub.”
Jackie nudged Fez in the ribs causing both of them to shut up.
Y/n’s jaw dropped. “How can you even say that?! Of course, it is, you dillhole!”
Hyde was silent for a minute before he shook his head. “God, why is it that every time something major happens, we have a freaking audience?!”
“I don’t know, Steven,” she sighed. “I guess God thinks it’s hilarious this way.”
“I don’t know how to take this,” he said and started pacing. “I’m going to be a father. We’re only eighteen and we’re going to be parents.”
           “I know.”
“What are we going to do?” he asked, panic lacing its way through his voice.
“I don’t know yet. That’s why we need to sit down and discuss this.”
“Yeah, I don’t know if I can do that right now,” he and fished for his keys in his pocket.
Y/n knitted her eyebrows together. “What do you mean?”
“I have to go,” he replied without looking at her as he got in his car.
           “Where are you going?”
“I need to think,” he said shortly and quickly got in his car and drove off, leaving y/n with everyone else.
“Oh, God, y/n, I’m so sorry,” Kelso said gently.
“Sorry for what?” Y/n asked, her voice cracking. “It’s not like he’s leaving or anything. He just needs some time to think. And I think…I’m going to do the same.”
As she grabbed her keys from her coat pocket, Donna stopped her. “Are you okay? Do you need us for anything?”
Y/n quickly shook her head before she could start crying. “No, I just need to be alone right now.”
Donna nodded and watched y/n get in her car and drive off.
Jackie nudged Donna gently. “You think this going to go down smoothly?”
“No,” Donna responded honestly. “Not at all.”

Chapter 1 // Chapter3
Tumblr media
"I hate needles,” The girl complains with a pout as Pepper removes the needle from her arm.
"Tony hates them too,” She turns and they both see Tony making a funny face when he puts a bandage on his arm. Rhodey crosses his arms and shakes his head.
"Very funny," says Tony.
"Why are we doing this?" Lily asks. The three adults look at each other.
"It's just to see if you have any illness, but don't worry,” the girl nods and jumps down from the chair while they continue talking.
"When will that be ready?" Tony complains.
"In a few days," Pepper answers.
Lily decides to walk through Tony's study completely ignoring the adults.
"Tony, have you thought about what you will do if she turns out to be your daughter?" Rhodes asks.
Stark sighs.
"I guess neither of you will want to adopt her,” they both shake their heads. "Surely someone in an orphanage will do it…” He shrugs.
Pepper and Rhodes share a worried look.
“Tony, you have to think better of it. She’s not a puppy you can abandon.”
“Trust me, she’ll be better off with another family than with me. It's pretty obvious that I'm not ready to raise someone, maybe I never will be.”
While they keep trying to convince Tony. Lily looks closely at all the 'toys' in that place. She laughs at the brightly colored cars. She walks up to them, opens the door of a red one, and sits behind the wheel. She pretends to drive it by making noises.
Tony sees her from afar and makes a face.
“Also, watch her. Maybe it's just a trick to take my money, she's already testing the cars.”
Rhodey rolls his eyes.
“She’s just playing, Tony. That's what six-year-olds do.”
At that, the door of the workshop opens and a man in a suit enters panting.
"I'm here, what do you need, boss?”
"You're late,” Tony answers.
“You sent me to do other things, sir. What's the uh-?" He checks his cell phone. "'Problem of catastrophic consequences'?" He quotes.
Before Rhodes and Pepper could complain, Tony points to the car where the girl is, who's watching everything from her seat. Happy Hogan raises his eyebrows.
"Do you want me to take care of your… niece?" he asks, unsure. Tony sighs.
"I want you to take care of her.”
"In what way, sir?”
"Yes, Tony,” challenges Rhodes. "In what way?”
“Okay, enough attacking me. You all know that as a parent I would be the worst option in life. Even Happy would be better,” He points out.
"Father? Is this his daughter?”
“Do you really want me to take care of someone? I can't even take care of myself!”
"That's ... true," says Pepper. "But this is different.”
"In what way?" Tony shakes his head. "Anyway, she’ll be here for a few days, but if it turns out not mine, she’ll leave. If the test is positive,” He looks back at the girl and sighs. "I'll solve it.”
***
"And what is this called?" asks Happy from the couch.
“Bear," replies Lily, watching the teddy bear on his hands.
"Makes sense to me," the man agrees.
"She's not very smart," Tony whispers, taking his beer.
“Sir, remember that your flight is at 4:00 a.m. to go to Vegas,” says Pepper entering the room.
Tony closes his eyes. He had completely forgotten about the trip to the awards for… something.
"I'll take care of Lily until you come back,” informs the redhead.
“You'll leave?" asks the girl. "When are you coming back?”
“Never.”
"He'll only be gone one day, honey," Pepper fixes. "Maybe at night he’ll already be here.”
Lily nods and goes back to Happy to show him more toys.
"Okay, we’re going. I have to leave early too,” says Rhodes. He walks to Lily and smiles at her. "See you later, smarty,” He raises his palm and the girl responds by high-fiving.
"Bye, Rhodey,” Tony groans.
Pepper and Rhodes leave the Stark house hoping that everything can be resolved soon.
"Whose letter is this, Lily?" asks Happy pulling out an envelope. The girl looks at it and quickly snatches it away. This gets Tony's attention.
"It's for my dad.”
Hogan sees his boss.
"And why don't you give it to him?”
“I still don't know who he is. The test is not ready,” She says it as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.
"Have you been listening to everything, girl?" Tony says.
“You were yelling, how could I not listen? And I'm not stupid. I know what a paternity test is.”
"Why? Has your mom already done many?”
“Yes.”
"So I'm not the first fool?”
“They weren't for me. And if you think that a girl like me can cheat you then you are a fool.”
They both glare at each other. Happy looks at them, uncomfortable. He clears her throat.
"And what is your favorite color?”
“Red," replies Lily without taking her eyes off Tony.
Stark snorts.
"Whatever. I'll go to sleep,” He goes to his room.
"Uh, I have to go too, little one," says Happy. “But we'll see you soon. Tomorrow I'll take you to Pepper's apartment…”
“Happy?"
“Yes?"
“I have nowhere else to go,” she says with a pout, “if Tony’s not my dad. I can't go home. My mom is no longer there.”
He crouches down to her level.
"Easy, everything will be fine. We won’t leave you alone.”
"You promise?”
"I promise.”
***
"I know it's not as big as Tony's, but it's something," says Pepper, letting her pass.
"I like it. Has a lot of light,” The girls smiles.
Meanwhile Tony completely forgets the awards where he was invited, playing in the casinos. The two girls are having fun in Pepper's apartment.
They play, they talk, Pepper asks the girl questions about her mother and she answers honestly, but the woman knows that she is still hiding several things, perhaps out of fear. She doesn't pressure her. Lily also asks questions and is happy to note that Pepper doesn't get upset or yell at her for talking so much.
At that moment, Lily learns who Tony Stark really is. A famous businessman who makes weapons for the army. He is smart and went to a major university. She also found out about his parents and how he managed to move on. Lily cannot deny that this is all very difficult and she now understands why Tony is moody.
The little girl had her fair share of hard life. Lily tells the redhead a bit about how her mom was hardly home and how she got hurt so easily.
But the real concern came at night, when Lily screamed in her sleep. Her screams sounded throughout the apartment, Pepper saw her suffering on the bed, asking for help. And when she managed to wake her, the only thing she could do for her was comfort her sobs until she could sleep again.
She doesn't know what Lily suffered, but that's over. She promises to do something about it.
The calm day does not last long. The nightmares struck and now they must return to Tony's house.
The next day, Pepper receives a call from Tony to take care of a new conquest that he had just brought to Malibu.
They both return to the big house. Lily runs into the living room, takes off her backpack and takes out the notebook that Pepper gave her to draw.
Before she could finish the first drawing, a blonde woman dressed in barely an ink-colored shirt arrives and begins to browse the place without knowing that she is there.
Lily frowns and stands up.
"Who you are?" The woman screams in fright and turns to see her.
"Who are you?”
"I asked first.”
The blonde sighs, buttons her shirt, trying to cover herself more, without success.
“My name is Christine Everhart. I work for Vanity Fair magazine.”
"And what are you doing here if you work in a magazine?”
The blonde opens her mouth not knowing what to say.
"You haven't told me who you are yet,” she replies.
“I'm Lily. And I don't work in a magazine,” She smiles.
She remembers the instructions Pepper told her yesterday. No one can know that she’s the possible daughter of Tony Stark. She should hide from others, but if someone asked, she had to come up with an excuse.
"And what is a girl doing at Tony Stark's mansion?”
“I’m his friend and sometimes I can come. Are you going to stay longer?" She complains.
“You're friend of his?”
"I see that you already woke up, miss,” says Pepper arriving with freshly cleaned clothes.
As the women talk, Lily decides to leave. She walks through the house until she comes across some stairs to the side of a waterfall decoration. She hears noises of metal colliding. Maybe Tony is downstairs, she thinks.
She goes down the stairs encountering a large glass wall. On the other side she sees Tony working on a car.
She stands on tiptoe to grab the door handle, but it doesn't respond. Lily complains. This did not happen to her when she first arrived.
“You're not authorized to enter this place, miss,” answers J.A.R.V.I.S scaring the little girl. She still doesn't get used to the voice.
“But I want to enter.”
"Lily, wait," says Pepper coming down. She touches a small screen that was not there before. She clicks on some numbers, opens the door, and lets her pass.
The girl looks curiously at the glass wall and makes a mental note to learn the numbers to enter by herself. She looks back at Tony and walks over. She watches what he does with the car without really understanding.
"How does that work?" Lily asks, pointing to a part of the engine. Tony slaps her hand lightly.
"Do not touch anything.”
"I just asked what it's for!” She exclaims.
He gets up ignoring her. The two adults keep talking about important things. But Lily is only interested in the fact that Tony must travel again, but now he has to go further away.
"Do you always travel?”
"If I want to.”
“Aren't you afraid to go on a plane? Don't you miss your home? Aren't you afraid of never coming back? Doesn't it bother you to sleep in another bed than yours?”
"The only thing that bothers me now is you,” He points out. Lily frowns.
"Sir, you must go," interrupts Pepper.
“Do you really want to get rid of me? You have plans?" Tony asks her. Both are very close. Lily looks at them confused.
"Actually, yes. I have plans for my birthday.”
"It's your birthday?" Tony asks, but a squeal interrupts them.
"It's your birthday!?" Lily asks surprised. Pepper laughs in agreement. "Why didn't you say anything!?”
"Easy, honey…”
"I can’t stay calm. I must give you a gift!” Her mind thinks of a good gift in a short time. “Do you like drawings?”
“Yes.”
"Well, I'm not late,” she says, nodding.
She runs to the door, grabs the handle, but it won't budge… again.
"Quick, give me the password, I have things to do!”
"I still don't understand the charm of children," says Tony.
"You'll see, sir," says Pepper laughing.

A (last) bit of hope
Summary:  In which Remus laments over his requited love and Sirius comes to give him some sense, one last time, as the best friend he is. Set during Order of the Phoenix, missing moment of them discussing relationships and what it should mean to be alive.
Read on AO3 or below the cut:
________________________
'You are hiding'.
Sirius's voice echoes in the room, but Remus doesn't turn to him, same as he didn't move when the door opened and the bright light from the hall illuminated the small room he is in.
His hand continues to carefully brush the feathers of the sleeping hippogriff, just as he'd done for the last fifteen minutes.
'You can't hide here', Sirius continues, when Remus doesn't answer. His voice is light and teasing. ''That's my hiding spot. Go find somewhere else'.
It's supposed to be a joke and Remus thinks he was supposed to find good that Sirius' humour is better, but he doesn't laugh.
There is another moment of silence.
'Are you going to ignore me?', asks Sirius, sounding annoyed now. He was always sensible about people not noticing him..
'I am not', Remus assures distractedly. 'I am just concentrating on my task'.
'Merlin, you sound like a prefect all over again. " I can't go, Prongs, I need to finish these reports, they are soooo important"'.
This brings a small smile to Remus' lips.
'From what I remember, I used to go with you anyway'.
'You were just playing hard so you didn't feel so guilty. You obviously wanted to come with us'.
'Yeah, but then I had to wake at dawn to really finish those reports', Remus points out, raising his eyebrows to stare at Sirius, but Sirius doesn't seem impressed.
Well, he never really managed to make Sirius feel guilty, and, in any case, Sirius knows him well enough to know Remus doesn't regret his choices in school.
He'd trade any report for one more night with his friends. There weren't enough of those nights.
Sirius comes to his side, stroking gently the hippogriff’s head; even in his sleep, the animal seems to relax at Sirius' touch. There is one of the strangest friendships Remus has ever seen, and he once knew of a group of a werewolf, a dog, a stag, and a rat.
'Moody and Tonks have arrived', Sirius says in a nonchalant voice that doesn't fool Remus for a second.
He also knows Sirius very well.
He just nods, careful to avoid looking in Sirius' direction so it's more difficult for Sirius to read him. Won't work, Remus thinks, but he can try.
He just doesn't want Sirius to see that Remus already knows they've arrived - that she arrived. He'd heard the sound of noise in the hall, had heard Mrs. Black's cries echoing through the house and he had known Tonks was there - she always kicked the umbrella stand, so charmingly clumsy. It was fourteen days since he'd last seen her - he wonders if she still keeps her hair pink, if she had asked about him, if she...
He shakes his head, admonishing himself for letting his thoughts roam free. He'd promised himself he wasn't going to think about her - no matter the fact she still appeared in his dreams, where he couldn't control - hadn't wanted to control, because in his dreams there were no problems and they could be together, and if dreams were all he had...
'You got that look, mate'.
Remus' head snaps in Sirius' direction, but Sirius isn't even looking at him. He's smirking, though, like a cat that knows it caught the mouse.
Or rather a dog with a wolf, in their case.
'I don't know what you mean', says Remus with all the dignity he can muster, hoping his tone is enough to let Sirius drop the matter for once.
It's not, but then again Sirius was never one to drop the bone.
'The wolf-in-love look', Sirius explains helpfully. 'That one that makes you look like a puppy, or, well, more like a dog that needs to be neutered, you know, when the dog is all over the place with his -'
'I get the idea, thanks, no need to go on'.
Sirius chuckles.
'Well, that look. And considering the reason for your lovesickness is downstairs, I don't know what you are still doing here'.
'I am just busy', Remus whispers without any conviction. 'Since Buckbeak isn't flying outside, most caretakers recommend -'
'Moony, I appreciate your top grades in Care of Magical Creatures - we seemed to find it rather ironically, if I remember correctly -, but you are avoiding the subject here... Merlin, you were really hiding, weren't you?'
Sirius is staring at him concentrated now, and Remus wishes he'd thought of another place to hide. Well, not to hide , he wasn't doing that; he was just in search of a safe place to be while he avoids a beautiful temptation in the form of a twenty-three years old woman who has (most of the time) bright pink hair and makes his heart beat faster.
Also, a place where he doesn't have old friends that know him too well.
'What's going on?', Sirius asks at least. 'Two weeks ago you were offering to do anything if it were with Tonks - you took the Knight Bus to Scotland to be alone with her, for heaven's sake - and now you don't even want to see her?'
'I wasn't -', he begins but Sirius' lifted eyebrows make him lose his courage to lie. 'I just need some time alone'.
'Remus -', now Sirius' voice is sounding really concerned, and for a moment Remus is taken back to the Hospital Wing in Hogwarts in his Third Year, waking up to see James and Sirius around his bed, looking at him worriedly after one of his worst nights. They had refused to leave his bedside then. 'I thought it was just the full moon last week, but it's something else, isn't it?'. Sirius pauses, then he looks troubled as some thought crosses his mind. 'Did she - I thought Tonks was also - are you hurt?'
Remus shakes his head, denying it. That's the problem, really, he is not hurt. He is the opposite of it, because he is in love and he never felt that exhilaration before, never believed in it really, even though he'd seen people fall in love before.
It just had never seemed like something that could have happened to Remus.
It can't happen , he says to himself, you and her, it can never be . You can't be in love.
Except Remus never really had a choice in it. It had just…Happened.
'I'm going to call her here if you don't tell me, Moony'.
'She fancies me. We were on this mission together a couple of weeks ago, she was saying that you are still handsome even after everything, and I lost control, I got jealous and stupid and then Tonks - she - she told me if I stopped being sorry for myself, I’d see it was me that - that she fancied’.'
The words slip out of Remus' lips without him controlling it, and the only thing he thinks is that he isn't really telling the truth.
She told him she is in love with him. Not just fancying him.
In love.
Still, Sirius beams.
'Good hippogriffs, that's great! I’m glad to know I’m still handsome, but I’m so happy for -'
'It's not "great", Padfoot. It's… it's bad'.
'But you fancy her too' says Sirius confused, and Remus wishes that his feelings for Tonks hadn't slipped out in a drunk confession to Sirius when they were overcelebrating New Year's.
'My feelings don't matter'.
'Of course they do', Sirius says critically. 'You've been pinning all over her, with that gentle sad smile that's your charm, and now that Tonks actually reciprocates your feelings, they don't matter?'
'I never… I never thought -'
'That she could like you back, I know, but guess what? She does’..
'She shouldn't, I mean, look at her and - and look at me'.
He shrugs.
'Kind of opposites attract maybe. She is lovely, you are a git'.
'I'm being serious'. When Sirius opens his mouth, his eyes already shining with the joke, Remus raises his hand to stop him. 'Not now, Sirius. I mean it, look at me and tell me what you see?'
He sighs.
'A very fine gentleman, with greyish hair that looks actually distinguished, lines of experience in his face and, as James once said, deep green eyes that can see your soul'.
This distracts Remus for a minute.
'I think he was talking about Lily, Padfoot'.
'No, pretty sure it was you. He didn't have that goofy face he had when he was thinking of Lily. But he was actually pissed, so who knows -'
'My point is that what you see is an unemployed thirty-six years old man who lives in his friend's mother's house with no perspective of life… and I'm a werewolf'.
As he expected, the last phrase makes Sirius scowls, annoyed.
'Except for your age, none of it is your fault'.
'Doesn't change the fact it's true'.
'Well, true or not, she doesn't seem to care'.
'But it does. Me and Tonks - we - we can't be together'.
Sirius looks at him as if Remus had grown another head.
'I don't get you, Moony. You spent one year getting to know her, finding any excuse to be here when she returns from her watches, volunteering to missions that sounded boring even to me who would do anything to get out of this hell… and for what?'
Remus resists the urge to grab his hair and pull it out. None of his friends - none of the Marauders - seemed to ever truly understand what he was; they always seemed to put Remus on a pedestal that reality would crush.
'It was supposed to be platonic. It was supposed to be me letting myself just dream and enjoying her presence until - until she would meet a nice young handsome Auror and then -'
'How much firewhiskey did you drink?'
'What?'
'You must be drunk to be so out of your mind. My cousin has been smitten with you ever since she fell the first day and you offer her your hand, like a prince'.
'But I'm not the prince, I'm the mons -'
'Don't you dare, Remus', Sirius cuts him off, with a growl that makes Buckbeak wake, nervous. 'We forbade you a long time ago of calling yourself a monster'.
Remus thinks of their Second Year, of the night he came back to the Boy’s dormitories to hear his friends telling him they knew of his secret - he'd been so ashamed and scared, unable to meet anyone's eyes, promising them he would leave and telling them he was sorry for being a monster.
('You are not a monster!', Sirius had said, grabbing him by the shoulders and making Remus look in his direction. 'Don't ever say that again!'. And then James and Peter were there too. 'You just have a furry little problem', James had added, with that easy crooked grin that had first drawn Remus to him. 'And above all, you are our friend. If you ever want to define yourself, remember what you are. A Marauder')
'A half-breed, then', he says tiredly.
'That's Umbitch talking, and I refuse to hear anything that cow says, Moony'.
'I'm not human, not really'.
'Give me your hand'.
Remus blinks, puzzled, but he offers his hand anyway. Sirius puts his hand over his.
'See? Very much the same. Five fingers. Normal skin. Human'.
'Once a month -'
'Once a month I used to turn into a dog. How normal is that? Tonks changes her hair colour twice a day . Talk about normal, who wants to be normal?'
'Me'.
Sirius sighs.
'You are boringly normal, Remus. You are just a typical guy that once a month becomes intolerable, but if I could bet Tonks also has this kind of day'.
'I am too old for her'.
'I would say that age means experience, but you are so old-fashioned that it wouldn't even be true… so I'll say wines are better the longer they are left alone on the barrels'.
Sirius seems very satisfied with his metaphor, but Remus doesn't smile.
'She is too young'.
'She is a grown-up adult, you know that, right? Tonks can make her own decisions, even if it means falling for old grumpies such as you'.
'Not helping, Sirius'.
'I'm trying. You were the one who was good at helping people feel better - or was it James? Both of you were better than me, anyway. What I mean is that you are both adults, so anything you consent to is valid'.
'I'm too poor'.
'I've heard Aurors are paid well, so she can totally support you both… Ok, not helping, I know. But I mean it, stop being old-fashioned in this at least. Money is not an issue, and once this is over, you will get a normal decent paid job with three days-off every month'.
That surprises Remus, making him stop and smile for real now. He can hear the optimism in Sirius' voice, and after one year in that bloody house, with Sirius being more and more recluse and upset, it's nice to see him hoping for once.
Even if it's a vain hope, one that Remus cannot see himself.
'Now can you stop hiding? Do you know what James would have said if he saw you like that?'
' "If you want to hide you should have taken my Invisibility Cloak, Moony"?'
Sirius laughs loudly, even if there is a hint of sadness in his tone, the same one that is always there when he is thinking of Prongs.
Almost fifteen years later and it's evident that Sirius still misses his best friend like if he died taking a part of him.
It's a feeling Remus shares, but he thinks it's easy for him. He feels grief, not guilt.
'He'd have kicked you in the arse', Sirius says when he stops chuckling. 'And tell you that if he had the nerve to ask Lily out when it was more likely she'd rather hex him than date him, you can face a girl who already fancies you'.
'Well, that paid him off in the end'.
'That's 'cause Lily would never resist his charm', Sirius says playfully, copying one of James' most presumptuous voices. It was one that had seemed to drive Lily mad, but in hindsight, Remus thought it was because she actually enjoyed it; and, after all, James had used that tone more as a joke than anything in the end.
Thinking about them makes his heart heavy with longing. They had shined so brightly together…
'They were perfect together', Sirius says suddenly, his thoughts in synchrony with Remus'. 'I think about them all the time, of how… how they made the right choices'. A shadow crosses his face. 'Well at least until the end'.
'What do you mean?'
'They didn't lose time. The moment they knew that they loved each other, nothing else mattered. None of James' past mistakes, none of her insecurities. They would fight in the war, and they would be together for as long as fate would allow it. Even Harry, you remember how -'
'They were so scared, I don't think I've ever seen James so terrified before'.
'He didn't even flinch before suggesting we became animagi, but talked about a baby and he was afraid', Sirius chuckles briefly, before looking beyond Remus. 'What I mean is… They lived. Shortly, not enough as they should, but they lived more than me and you'.
'We are alive, Padfoot'.
'Are we really? I'm back in this godforsaken house and sometimes I'm mad because James promised I'd never step foot again here, but he is dead, and I… I am a ghost'.
'You are alive', Remus insists and now he is the one taking Sirius' hand. 'See? Warm. That's because your heart is pumping blood through your body. While your heart is beating, you are alive'.
'That's my point!', cries Sirius. 'If this poor excuse of a human that's me gets to be alive, then it should have a meaning, right? I won't live to see my end in this house. You and me both, we deserve a chance to really live, and we can do it. As James did'.
If it were anyone else, Remus would think of denying it, and would list again all problems he has. But this is Sirius talking; Sirius, who once told him he wasn't a monster, who hugged him after his mom died, who is his best friend, to whom Remus promised he wouldn't ever mistrust again.
Sirius, who spent twelve years alone in Azkaban, who suffered more than anyone Remus has ever known but has come to grace him now with that little bit of hope that Sirius never seems to grace himself.
'Okay, I can work with that', Remus says finally, smiling, and that makes Sirius grin.
'So can I prepare for the wedding? I've got really good recommendations -'
'James had to lock you before his wedding', Remus remembers in a false severe voice, and they both share a smile. 'Something about a real stag party?'
'In a zoo, yeah, he wasn't amused. So no wedding yet?'
'No, just… just be less eager. We'll start slow. I will - I will ask her out. On a date. One that doesn't involve us hiding behind bushes'.
'Oh, if it's your kink, don't be shy'.
'Arse'.
'A very fine one I have, yes', jokes Sirius and Remus can't help but chuckle freely for the first time in two weeks. Sirius watches him thoughtfully. 'I mean it all, Remus, do you know that, right? I'm a poor bastard, but you should be happy. You deserve to be happy. Promise me you won't forget this'.
There is something soberer than usual in Sirius' eyes, some urgency that takes away Remus' sudden desire to just joke about it. There is a cold feeling in his spine that he forces himself to ignore.
'I won't', he says. 'But try to do -'
He stops when he hears someone coming up the stairs - the sound is rather erratic as if someone is missing a few steps now and then, and it is a sound Remus recognizes so easily that he can't help but sigh fondly.
Sirius grins knowingly to him, seeming more at ease, and Remus almost expects him to start winking and giving them his blessing…
'Wotcher, guys', Tonks says, her pink hair reddening slightly when her eyes meet Remus. Ignoring the nudge from Sirius in his back, he grins to her, for once letting his imagination flow free.
A date, yes, that would be nice. He doesn’t have the money for a nice dinner, but he could cook for her - but where? Not in Grimmauld Place, for sure, and he wouldn't suggest her house for a first date (Sirius is right in calling him old-fashioned). Maybe a picnic then? He cooks here and then they go to a nice park in London, somewhere no one would recognize them, where they could be just two lovebirds sharing chocolates and then, if he dares to hope, a kiss -
'Looking for someone?', Sirius asks innocently, and Remus wants to smack him. Sirius is never innocent, which is obvious even for Tonks, who throws a brief shy glance at Remus.
Guiltily, he remembers he never answered her when she told him she was in love with him.
He’ll make it right, he promises, and for once, instead of feeling concerned with the knowledge she likes him back, Remus lets this thought fill him with hope .
It can be okay. It will be.
'Actually, you', Tonks says, sounding a little puzzled as she looks back to Sirius. 'Snape just sent a patronus, he said the most unbelievable thing, for some reason Harry thinks you are in danger…'

Drunk ♥ Jun
Tumblr media
Member: College! Jun x reader (gender neutral) ft. Bff! Joshua
Genre: Fluff (little bit suggestive but no smut)
Word Count: 2.2K
↬  Request:  Smth with Jun?? Maybe like him or the reader getting drunk at a party and them confessing?💕
✿ summary: - going to one of Jun’s parties seemed to be a right of passage at your school. After being persuaded by your friend, Joshua, you run into your hopeless crush, the party man himself.
WARNINGS: mentions of alcohol & drinking
❀          ❀          ❀
It wasn’t even eight in the evening, and you could already tell tonight was going to be a long one.
After constant pleas and begging from your classmate Joshua, you finally decided to go to one of his friend’s stupid parties. They normally, from what you had heard, were a bit crazy, to say the least. But Joshua insisted they were fun and if anything bad happened he would take you home right away. But the main reason he wanted to drag you along was so you could talk to Jun. He conveniently forgot to mention the last part to you. You had had a major crush on the man for over a year now, and Joshua, yourself included, was getting sick of the two of you not being together. Jun could be odd and a little out there. It was just what you needed to balance your calm and rather shy personality.
You snapped out of your daydream as you saw Joshua staring at you with a questioning look on his face. His sunglasses dangled from his shirt like his solo cup in his right hand, similar to the clock hands you were staring at above his head.
Joshua’s shoulder hit yours harshly, nearly knocking you over as you saw a wider than normal smile on his face, as he giggled at his movements.
“Woah there josh, slow down,” you said carefully, taking the red cup from his hand. You knew he was getting tipsy now, as normally he would protest at your action.
“We should get going soon,” you said knowingly, “you need to be home, because I know for a fact that you have an exam tomorrow.”
“Hmm.. fineee...” He stopped, pulling your hand in his in another direction, before slurring, “Les’ go find Jun furst.”
Before you could protest, Joshua pulled you downstairs into the main living area. The two of you moved grudgingly through tens of party goers, some dancing, a small group looking like they were experiencing the best moment of their lives, and you had just slipped past a girl yelling at a male around her age.
Before you could think, your eyes caught the man Joshua seemed so desperate to find, as you whipped your vision in the other direction before either of them could notice. Joshua was still moving sluggishly alongside you through hot bodies with you when he stopped, spotting Jun himself. He giggled again, and made another wide smile as he wiggled his eyebrows knowingly.
“God, you’re so tipsy,” you breathed out to him as you rolled your eyes, a delicate pink color coming on your cheeks. Joshua smiled again, but it wasn’t his tipsy smile, it was more like a smirk. But just as you opened your mouth to question his new expression, a finger tapped your shoulder from behind.
You turned around steadily, a slight blush creeping up on your face. Thankfully, the lights were emitting a soft, greenish-blue color, changing every few seconds, now turning an orangery-red. They gave the person who had tapped your shoulder an infatuating glow, as his eyes peered straight into yours, and allowed your flush face to be hidden in the dancing light. Jun looked a little less tidy than normal, but incredible nonetheless. His wine colored hair was a bit ruffled, and his jacket hung off one of his shoulders, hanging onto the other.
“Hey,” you breathed out, trying to break the tension you could feel rising as you lost track of time staring at him.
“You look gorgeous tonight,” he admitted. There was a soft glaze over his eyes, that seemed to force you to keep looking at them. You weren’t sure if it was the lights, the alcohol, or if it was simply because you liked him that much. This was the closest you two had gotten since you had met, besides the time you, Joshua, and him had watched a movie together. His scent was light, and smelled of citrus and must, mixed with liquor.
“Thanks,” you stated, a bit louder than you thought as the music came down a bit. Jun laughed at you as he took your hand. He gave Joshua a look that you couldn't decipher, before the younger man walked off to meet a few friends, leaving the two of you alone, in the large sea of people.
“It’s too loud in ‘ere,” he whispered in your ear. He glanced behind him at a corner of the frat house near a couch that was empty, raising his eyebrow.
“Mind if we sit?”
You followed Jun to the couch, sitting next to him as you sighed. You just now realized how much your feet were hurting from your shoes, relieved to let them rest for a moment. Jun was quite calm for being, from what you could tell, super drunk. He was mainly like himself, but seemed relaxed and a bit more flirty than usual. He was laughing a bit more than normal as well, but not as much as Joshua did when he was drunk.
“You know... I’m glad you finally showed up to one of these,” he started, looking around.
You faced him, waiting for him to continue as you weren’t sure how to respond.
“I started thinking last year... that I would have muchh more fun if Joshua brought his pretty friend to these parties,” he drawled. He was close to your face now, almost as if he was telling you a secret in your ear. He pulled back, and stared at you with stars in his eyes, as if you were the most interesting thing in the room.
“I... really?” You questioned, hoping that tomorrow Jun would feel the same, and that it was him rather than the alcohol talking to you.
“Yeah, isn’t it obvious?? I like you, Y/n.”
Your face was definitely red now, there was no doubt, but you were too shocked to notice. Jun looked at you with wide eyes, looking like a puppy as he pouted at you.
“You know.. righttt??” He smiled a bit now, raising his eyebrows before laughing softly while turning away.
“But... I... I thought you flirted with everyone?”
“Uhm, not as much as I do with you,” he laughed.
Jun stared at you affectionately as he learned closer to you slowly, his eyes fluttering softly. Before he was able to do what you had been waiting for, he seemed to forget about his right hand, as alcohol spilled onto his shirt, as well as you, soaking the both of you. He shot up quickly, a look of alarm spread on his face before he laughed.
“Sorry... at least I didn’t get y—”
He stared at you before apologizing, then smacking himself in the face.
You breathed out a laugh, shaking your head and taking in the humorous scene in front of you. Jun grimaced before glancing at the space in the couch previous between you as he opened his mouth.
Jun looked around with wide eyes, as if he was scared someone were to come out of nowhere at any moment and attack him. You got up gingerly and wrapped a hand around his shirt, tugging it slightly towards you. Jun flashed a smirk before you rolled your eyes, asking, “Which room is yours? You should change.” You glanced behind him at the clock on the wall illuminated by an orange glow. It was nearly midnight.
“And,” you started strictly, “you should get some sleep.”
His smirk immediately dropped as he looked at you momentarily, like he was trying to find something in your eyes, before sighing.
“Okay, but you have to come with me.”
“Of course I’m coming with you, yo—”
“Oh, eager, are we?”
“No dumbass, you’re too drunk for your own good.”
You smiled slightly before frowning. Maybe this was the alcohol taking.
“Let’s hope Jihoon doesn’t notice the stain on his couch. He’ll kill me.”
You rolled you eyes as Jun pulled you up the stairs, and into the first room on the left. Inside were two medium sized beds with dark sheets, a small nightstand sitting in the middle of it with a light adoring it. To your left was a beige desk covered in papers, trinkets, and plants. The room was quite tidy, minus the closet space to your right. Pairs of shoes were crammed together on the bottom of the small space, hoodies and shirts hanging messily from the top.
Jun looked around hazily before turning back to you.
“Sooo... are you gonna change?”
“...What? Oh, yeah.” He turned from you then skimmed through his closet. He pulled a large black t-shirt from a hanger and started taking off his shirt. You turned away, blushing and trying not to look, but not before you saw his toned form. After a moment you looked back, seeing him in his new, un-stained shirt.
“Here, you can wear this one.” He handed you a white graphic tee, around the same size as the shirt he was wearing.
You pulled the shirt over yours and shifted as to take off your smaller one under the large one, that smelled just like the man sat behind you.
“Y/n...?”
You turned over your shoulder to see Jun sitting on his bed, a serious look on his face. You noticed the glass on his nightstand was empty, happy that he now had something rather than solely alcohol in his system. He patted the spot next to him softly as you walked over. You sat down and stared up at him, his scent overwhelming your scenes.
You hummed, then he responded airily, “You know I really like you, right? Like seriously?”
“Jun...”
“I’m not drunk okay!” He said, raising his voice before slouching again.
“I do like you. You know, you can say it back if Josh isn’t lying.”
“If he wh—”
“He told me. I know you like me as well.”
Oh my god. You were never trusting Joshua with a secret ever again. Your brain was spinning rapidly trying to focus on one thought. How could you respond to that? Why did Josh tell him? How in the hell did Jun...
“...You really like me?”
Jun rolled his eyes and nodded, a small smile on his face.
“Have I not made it obvious?”
“I just... why? And why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because, Y/n. Every time I see you my chest tightens up. You’re so caring and kind to your friends, and even people you don’t know, or didn’t know. Like me. I didn’t think someone like you would like someone like me. I’m too...”
“Out there?” You said in a small voice, looking at him through hooded eyes.
“Yeah. You’re so... good and sweet and you do well in school and I’m not like you, I didn’t want to ruin that.”
Before you could respond, Jun continued passionately, “And I thought you liked Joshua, anyways.”
“He, he told you I liked you though?”
Yeah, he did. But it was hard to believe, because he did it right after I confessed my feelings for you...”
Jun placed his hands over yours as he looked at you again, with that charming look of longing that you had fallen for. Your chest was tight, but it was slowly falling soft as you were putting the pieces together. He liked you.
“I like you too.”
The words came from your mouth before you could stop them, tired and dazed from the party scene as if someone else had said them. But you meant it.
Jun smiled softly as he leaned close to you, you could smell his cologne and it engulfed you, pulling you into his parted lips. He kissed you. It was soft and delicate, like you would break if he was too harsh, and it felt like your surroundings were colored and bright. He pulled back slowly, his left hand on your face, holding you like he didn’t want to end the kiss in the first place.
“Would it make you feel better if we talked about this tomorrow? I’m tired.”
“Yeah...” you replied softly, taken aback still by his lips on yours. “Uhm, I should go get Josh, so he can walk me home...”
Jun grabbed your wrist lightly, staring into your eyes knowingly.
“He’s probably already sleeping downstairs, the party sounds about over.”
You hadn’t noticed before, but now listening for sounds below, it was nearly silent. The clock on Jun’s tidy desk displayed that it was nearly one in the morning, explaining the absence of noise.
“I can drive you home, or you can stay here.”
His tone was casual, something you didn’t normally hear from Jun, especially paired with a could-have-been flirtatious sentence.
“Mingyu is at his girlfriends, you can use his bed...”
You glanced at the bed next to Jun’s, before a thud caused you to look up at him. He had crashed on the bed and was now out, sleeping peacefully with a small smile on his face. You sighed, turning off the light and getting on Mingyu’s bed.
“Goodnight, Jun.”

You had noticed it for months. Tom has been pulling away, spending more time out with the boys than at home with you. His kisses became forced and the words ‘love you’ slowly stopped falling from his lips.
Most days he would leave for work before you woke up and on the rare occasion you were up when he left, he would mumble a ‘goodbye’ before walking out the door. Sometimes, if you were lucky, he would press a gentle kiss to your forehead. Most times, though, he would just leave.
You did your best to keep the love alive, you were still madly in love with him. The wedding band that sat tightly on your ring finger mocked you. A symbol of what was love has turned into one sided love. Hell, you weren’t sure if Tom wore his wedding ring anymore.
A quick glance to his left hand would reveal that he didn’t.
You spent your nights wondering if it was something you did. Were you too clingy when he left to film? Was he just tired of you after four years of marriage? Did he find someone else?
No. You shook your head to yourself one night as you laid in the bed by yourself, the space usually occupied by Tom cold. If he found someone else and if he cheated, that’s on him. Not on you.
Still, the thought plagued your mind. Did he meet someone else? Was she prettier than you? Is that where he was when he said he was out with the boys? Was she able to give him something you couldn’t give him?
The door opening and shutting alerted you that Tom was home. You sighed, knowing it’d be another night of sleeping on opposite sides of the bed.
The door to the bedroom opened and in came Tom, Tessa jumping up to greet him.
“Hey girl, hey love, how are you, hm?” He whispered, petting Tessa as his eyes flickering over to you, who was visibly awake. “Thought you’d be asleep by now. ‘S late.”
“Couldn’t sleep.” You replied simply. “Hey so I was thinking, we haven’t had a date night in a while, maybe you wanted to go out to see the Halloween decorations around town and get dinner tomorrow night?”
“Can’t,” He shook his head as he got ready for bed. “Harrison wants to watch the game. Told him I’d go.”
“Didn’t you just see Harrison tonight?”
“Yeah, and?”
“Nothing.” You sighed, obviously upset. “Nothing, Tom. Goodnight.”
“Night.” He responded, turning out the light and climbing into bed, falling asleep with his back toward you.
-
The next day, you were surprised to see Tom already awake and waiting in the kitchen, sipping on a cup of tea when you got downstairs.
“Good morning.” You smiled softly.
“We need to talk.” He told you. You felt your heart drop and your palms get sweaty, but you wiped them on your pajama pants in an effort to seem totally calm and not panicked.
“A-About what?” You asked, your voice coming out shaky.
“I think,” Tom started. “I think we should get divorced.”
It was then, at 8:30 am that your world came crashing down.
“W-What?” You whimpered out, your voice weaker than before. “Why?”
“I’m not happy with you anymore.” He said simply. Your eyes flickered to his left hand, noticing the absence of the golden wedding band, making your heart ache.
“We can try couples’ therapy. We can go on dates like we used to, Tom, please! We can fight for this, Tom. Fight for us.” You cried, your heart shattering into a million tiny pieces, each one puncturing your lungs as you struggled to keep your breath under control.
“No,” He shook his head. “My mind is made up. I’m sorry, y/n. Um, I found a lawyer at a firm, they have a lot of other lawyers there you can contact. I’ll just, uh, leave their card here.”
“So that’s it? Three years of dating and four years of marriage down the drain?” You sobbed, holding your knees to your chest as you sat on the kitchen floor.
“I’m sorry, y/n. Truly, I am.”
He placed the small business card on the counter, grabbing the bags you didn’t even notice, mumbling an ‘I’ll be staying with Haz,’ before walking out the front door, like he did every other day. This time, though, you had the sinking feeling he was leaving for good.
-
It was only three weeks that your lawyer came over to meet with you, joined by Tom and his lawyer. You kept your eyes focused on the table as you signed the paperwork, wanting to get this done as soon as possible.
As soon as everyone left, you shut the door, slid down the back of it, and cried.
-
Nearly two months after the worst day of your life and it was time for a self care night. The ring that once sat on your left hand was buried away in your jewelry box somewhere and you were finally starting to feel free and somewhat happy again after crying yourself to sleep and wondering where it all went wrong for months.
After the divorce you buried yourself in work, using it as a distraction from going home to an empty house. Slowly but surely, the framed pictures of you and Tom came down, making a new home on the empty shelves in the closet. It hurt to be alone in the empty house at first, memories of you and Tom when you were happy plaguing the walls. Once you started making time for yourself, however, you became happier.
Tonight, after a long day of decorating the house and making it seem cheery, you ordered your favorite Chinese food, played your favorite Christmas songs, and ran yourself a bath with a vanilla scented bath bomb. You were enjoying a glass of wine, the hot water of the bath soothing you when the music playing from your phone was interrupted by a call coming in.
To your surprise, it was Tom. You contemplated answering it, but instead, let it go to voicemail. However, you were curious as to why he called, though you were also 99% positive it was a pocket dial. So you played the voicemail, the familiar voice ringing throughout the bathroom.
“Hey y/n, um, I hope you’re doing well. I just called because I wanted to tell you something. I um, I miss you. A lot. And I know I don’t get to feel that way but I do and I just wanted to tell you that and I guess ask if there was any possibility of meeting to talk? Uh, call me back if...if you want. I don’t blame you if you hate me. Bye. Love y-”
You turned off the voicemail before the phrase could be finished. Millions of thoughts filled your mind, ranging from happy ones to ones that made your heart ache and tears fill your eyes.
You decided to ignore it, pretend it never happened, and enjoy your self care night.
-
The next day you were enjoying a cup of tea and reading your book when a knock on the door interrupted you. Confusion filled your body, you weren’t expecting anyone to pop by.
Opening the door, you were greeted by a sight you never thought you’d see again. Tom was standing on your the top step leading up to the front door, a bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hands.
“Hi.” He breathed out, his breath forming a cloud around him due to the coldness of the air.
“What are you doing here?” You asked, keeping your eyes focused on the ground.
“Did you get my voicemail?” He responded, hope filling his eyes when you nodded. “Um, I brought these for you. I was hoping we could talk.”
“Why should I talk to you? We’re divorced, just like you wanted.” Tom winced at the words. “Nothing to change.”
“Actually, we’re not.” He corrected. “I called the office the other day. Um, it’s not official yet.”
“Well then they should make it official. Maybe I can call them and make it happen as my very last Christmas present to you. Just what you wanted.” You snapped.
“No, this isn’t what I want, can I speak, please?” He pleaded, his eyes resembling those of a puppy.
“Fucking, fine, Tom! Jesus.” You groaned.
“Can, can I come in?” He asked, his voice small and fragile.
You debated saying no, saying that he’s not welcome in your house after what he did. But it was snowing and to be honest, your face was getting cold. So you opened the door a little wider, allowing him to come in.
“Stay there.” You instructed, taking the flowers from him and placing them on the kitchen counter before going back to where he was waiting at the front door, taking a seat on the stairs across from him. “Speak.”
“The house looks nice. Really nice. You did a good j-”
“Tom I’m not gonna listen to your small talk. Say what you have to say and leave.” You told him. His heart broke but he couldn’t blame you.
“Um, so I thought I wasn’t happy with you but um, as time went on, I realized how much I miss having you in my life.” He began, visibly nervous. “I was just looking through our pictures and how happy you looked and I just, I guess I realized I wanted to be the one to make you that happy again.”
“You haven’t made me happy in months, Tom.”
“I know.” His heart clenched. “I know and I’m so sorry, y/n. I really am.”
“Was there someone else? Did you cheat on me?” You asked.
“No, no absolutely not, y/n.” He answered before adding; “I went on a date with someone after we split up but it didn’t work out. I realized she wasn’t what I want.”
“Of course she wasn’t.” You scoffed.
“I want you, y/n. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy again.” He told you, tears filling your eyes. “Is there..is there any possibility you could love me again?”
“Again?” You seethed. “Tom I never fell out of love with you! I never stopped loving you! That was all you! You stopped loving me and you wanted this stupid fucking divorce!”
“I..I don’t think I ever stopped loving you either.” He whispered, tears falling down his rosy cheeks. “Please, y/n, if there’s even the tiniest chance..”
“Of what, Tom? Of going right back to being married? Of you making me happy? I don’t know, Tom! I don’t know anything except that I hate you right now.” You sobbed, crying into your knees while Tom let out quiet sobs of his own, his heart clenching at the lack of wedding band on your left hand and the missing pictures that previously decorated the first hallway in your once shared house.
“Of..anything, y/n. Please, I just want a second chance to show you how much you mean to me, to make you happy again. I will do anything to save us, anything you want. And...and if it’s not working or you just really hate me, I wouldn’t blame you. Not at all.” He begged, his eyes puffy and red.
“I tried to save us, Tom. Don’t you remember? I begged and pleaded with you to do couples therapy to go on dates when you were breaking my heart into a million tiny pieces. I begged you to try and fight for us, for our marriage, but you just walked out the god damn door!” You spit through gritted teeth.
“I fucked up, I know. I fucked up so badly.” He cried, wiping his tears away.
“And if leaving me wasn’t enough, you took Tessa too! I was left completely alone in this big fucking house that was haunted by you.” You sobbed.
“I’m..I’m sorry, y/n. So so fucking sorry. What do you want me to do?”
“I want...I want you to hurt. I want you to hurt the way you hurt me. I want you to know how this fucking feels.” You said, your voice getting louder with each word that fell from your lips.
Tom could only cry. This was ripping him apart, he couldn’t even imagine what the whole thing felt like to you.
“I’m gonna need time to think, Tom.” You finally mumbled, Tom nodding in response.
“I’ll give you all the time you need. I promise you-”
“Don’t. Don’t promise me anything.” You spoke, your voice low. “You won’t be able to keep it. You promised you’d love me forever four years ago and look what happened.”
“y/n pl-”
“You don’t get to do this. You-you don’t get to just waltz right back in here and ask for a second chance to fight for us when I didn’t even get a first chance. How do I know this won’t end like it did before?”
“y/n, I swear to you, if this isn’t working out, you can leave me. I...I just want a chance to prove myself to you.” He begged.
“God, Tom. You don’t get it! I’m not going through this again. Do you realize how much you broke me the first time? Fuck, you had a chance, Tom. And you threw it away.” You muttered quietly.
“I regret that every day. Every god damn day.” He told you honestly.
“I don’t know, Tom.” You sighed.
“Talk to me?” He tried, knowing you were hiding something deeper than an ‘I don’t know.’
“Don’t know what else there is to say.” You mumbled. “I don’t trust you, I-I can’t trust you. I hate you.”
“The pictures of us aren’t up anymore.” Tom sniffled, changing the subject.
“I hated looking at them.” You told him honestly. “I want to start over.”
“What?”
“I want to start over. I can’t go back to being emotionally married to you even if we’ll still be married legally. I’m talking starting from scratch, as if we were meeting for the first time, the whole deal.” You told him.
“That sounds perfect, y/n. Thank y-”
“Get out, Tom. Please. I just want to be alone and not with you right now. I’m still not happy with you.”
“Okay.” He breathed out, hope filling him once again. “You won’t regret this, I promise.”
“What did I just say about promises?” You asked tearily.
“I know, I know. I’m determined to keep this promise, though.” He told you.
“Fine. Whatever. Just please leave for now.” You whimpered, watching as he walked out the door, just like he did when he broke your heart.
You decided you needed another self care night. Another bath was run, another vanilla scented bath bomb was used, more wine was consumed.
Tom texted you right as you got out of the bath.
Tom: hey y/n, it’s tom, just incase you don’t have my number saved anymore. I just wanted to say thank you for the second chance. I really am grateful. I hope you have a relaxing night, you deserve it.
You rolled your eyes and tossed your phone gently on your bed, though you could feel your heart rate pick up and butterflies fill your stomach.
-
Tom began texting you sweet little things each morning, whether it was to let you know that he’s been thinking of you or to tell you that he hopes you have a great day. At first you ignored them, but then you began responding in short answers of one or two words until the two of you were texting every day, like when you met for the first time seven years ago.
-
Over a month after you started texting again, Tom took you on a first date. Pulling up to your house, Tom felt the nerves fill his body as he walked up to your front door and knocked, another bouquet of your favorite flowers in his hand.
He felt all the air leave his lungs as you opened the door. You looked absolute stunning. You were wearing a navy blue dress that reached down to just above your knees, one Tom bought you one year.
“Wow, hi.” He breathed. “You look stunning.”
“Thank you.” You smiled, accepting the flowers he handed you. “I’ll be right back.”
Tom took you to your favorite restaurant that night, one that the two of you frequented when you (formerly) went on dates.
When he took you back to your house, he walked you up to the front door, where he nervously asked if he could kiss you.
You said yes, and that was all Tom needed to press a soft kiss to your lips. The kiss was magical, both of you felt the sparks between the two of you.
“God I missed doing that.” Tom mumbled as he pulled away to breathe.
“Then do it again.”
-
A couple months after that, Tom moved back in with you. The pictures of the two of you were dusted off and put back up on the walls in the first hallway of the house.
-
Finally, after a year, Tom proposed to you (again). You hesitated a little bit, still scared it would end in heartbreak again, which broke Tom’s heart, but said you yes in the end.
The two of you renewed your vows, putting on the golden bands that were once again a symbol of the love the two of you shared.
You had a small party back at your house after the ceremony, your families joining to celebrate. You found Tom alone in the kitchen, grabbing a beer for him and Harry.
“Hey.” You greeted, fiddling with your fingers as tears of happiness filled your eyes.
“Hey, what’s wrong, my love?” Tom asked, concerned as soon he saw the tears filling your eyes.
“Nothing, nothing. I, um,” You started, wiping your tears away and wrapping your arms around Tom’s neck. “I’m really glad we made it back to this.”
“Me too, lovey. I love you so much.” He whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.
“Hey, Tommy?”
“Yeah?”
“You kept your promise.” You smiled softly, making Tom’s heart ache at the memory of you not being able to trust him.
“I told you I would.”

The Angel Next Door - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
“Wanna watch a movie?” Asher walks into the room wearing a basketball jersey and some short shorts.
“Sure. You can have the bed tonight if you want.” I sit up in his bed.
“No. It’s fine. You won fair and square.”
“Then you can at least sit on the bed with me during the movie.”
“Okay. Then you choose the movie.”
“Ooh… that was a mistake I’m glad you made.”
“Scared.”
“Good.” Asher gets onto the bed next to me and he smells really nice after his shower.
I put on a scary movie, turn off the lights, and then just relax and enjoy the movie. Before the end of the movie, Asher has fallen asleep. He’s fast asleep with his head resting on my shoulder. And it’s annoying in the best way possible. I look at his adorable sleeping face. A small strand of hair slips in front of his face.
Then I snap out of it. I quickly and softly slide Angel off my shoulder and rest his head on a pillow. I take a few more seconds to just look at him and admire how cute he is before laying down on the air mattress on the floor and going to bed.
“Hey.” Asher finally wakes up.
“Hey. What happened last night? Why are you down there?”
“You fell asleep during the movie.”
“Oh shit. Sorry.”
“No problem. It was adorable. You sleep like a little puppy.” We both laugh.
“Did you at least sleep well on the air mattress at least?”
“I slept a couple of hours.”
“Oh no!”
“It’s fine. Nothing to do with the air mattress. Just regular stuff.”
“You should really get that fixed.”
“Nah. Too much work.”
“Lord.” We both laugh. “So, got any plans today?”
“Nah. Can we just stay in your room all day and avoid the real world?”
“Technically we could, but may I ask why?”
“Dave’s been on me to get a job. And I’ve spent every day applying. I just need a day off.”
“Okay. So you just need a good distraction… I think that’s doable.”
“Thanks.”
“How ‘bout pancakes?”
“That would be amazing.”
“Amazing? You may want to keep your expectations low. I’m okay at cooking.”
“I believe in you.”
Asher runs off and leaves me to yet again snoop around his room. But this time it’s interrupted by his phone that he left on the bed. It keeps vibrating. I just so happen to look over at it. And there are texts. From someone named Reagan. I’m presuming Reagan’s a girl. And I just so happen to read some of the texts by accidentally putting his password in and looking at the notifications. Yeah, I’m awful. It seems that she wants to seriously talk to Asher.
And then the doorbell rings and I immediately shut the phone off and fall back onto the air mattress. I hear Asher answer the door and start talking to someone.
“Spence! It’s for you!” Asher shouts upstairs and immediately I think it has to be Dave.
I quite slowly make my way downstairs and then when I see Mal I run to the door and give her the biggest hug. I’ve not been this happy in such a long time.
“Um…” I look back and Asher looks so confused.
“Oh. Mal this is Asher. Asher this is Mal, my sister. Well, Step-sister.”
“Oh?” He smiles, still looking confused.
“Same dad.”
“Oh.”
“You’re a man of few words,” Mal says to Asher and we all start laughing.
“What are you doing here?”
“You’re mom said you stayed over here last night.”
“I mean here… in Phoenix?”
“I was just passing through and thought I’d check out your new digs.”
“Great! How long are you here for?”
“Just a few days. I was hoping to take you out for breakfast.”
“Oh my gosh, yeah!” I look to Asher, who’s awkwardly standing there. “Can Asher come?”
“Oh no, it’s fine. You guys go should have some time to hang alone.”
“Oh! No! You should definitely come! Any friend of this little tomato is a friend of mine.”
“Yeah!” I look to Asher, smiling.
“Okay. I just need to go and change.”
“Same. We’ll be down in a minute.” We let Mal in answer head upstairs to Asher’s room.
“So you’re gonna have to explain the little tomato thing later.”
“Oh god…” I just start laughing.
We make it to this nice breakfast place and start talking.
“So how are Bryan and Kiki doing?” I look to Asher. “Her husband and the cutest five-year-old in the entire world.”
“Aww.” I can tell Asher is slightly uncomfortable being the third wheel, but I’m trying to involve him more.
“They’re great. Bryan got a promotion a few months ago. A bit more work, but he’s happy. And Kiki has begun loving to read. We just started the Harry Potter books.”
“Oh my gosh! I can’t wait to buy her Harry Potter toys!”
“So Asher, tell me about yourself.”
“Well…” He doesn’t seem to know where to begin.
“Asher here is actually a famous actor and musician.” Asher blushes a little when I say that.
“Wow, that’s really cool.”
“It’s not that big a deal. I just did a Disney Channel show and done a few small albums.”
“You’re so humble. I can tell you’re very mature for your age.”
“Thanks.”
We order our food and Asher goes off to the bathroom.
“So… you and Asher?”
“No!” I am shocked as Mal asks that.
“Really?”
“He’s not gay.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes! He’s had girlfriends.”
“You know that means nothing,” I say nothing. “You so like him.”
“What?”
“Well… Ugh! It’s complicated. I don’t want to push him at all. So I just stay close and maybe one day he’ll figure it out.”
“What if he doesn’t.”
“Then we’ll be great friends.”
“Okay. Change of subject…” I can tell she’s nervous and doesn’t want to say what she’s about to say.
“What?”
“It’s about dad.”
“Oh god.”
“It’s not bad, necessarily.” She takes a sip of her iced tea before continuing. “Dad is in town too.”
“What?”
“He came here with me.”
“So you weren’t just passing through?”
“No. I came because Dad said he wanted to meet up with you. Have a talk.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. He mentioned he had a work trip here and I thought I’d come along as a mediator.”
“Oh my god.” I can already feel myself stressing out.
“It’s okay. You don’t have to do this, but I do think it would be good for you.” I just say nothing and nod as Asher comes back.

The other Hotchner
Hotch has a daughter, a seventeen year old girl from a previous relationship bad ended, she's an outsider. Her dad is a trained profiler but she doesn't need training, she's ready to give a hand, no matter what it takes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I walked in the house and i saw Jack running in my direction"Hey, how's it going bud- Oh okey no touching, your hands are really really dirty and i don't want to wash the red paint off my clothes today"I giggled seeing my little brother getting his hands behind his back
"Sorry, can i still have a kiss please"he said with a big smile and those cute brown eyes looking at me the way a puppy looks at food
"Of course you can, come here"i gave him a little kiss on the forehead and he run back in the kitchen shouting thanks
"Dad you home?" I asked while hanging my coat behind the door
"Yes Lili I'm here" I followed the sound of my dad voice and i saw him sitting at the table, his hair were red, let's just say that Jack had a lot of fun playing with him that afternoon
"Dad what the hell is in your-IS THAT GLITTER?!" i burst into laughter and so did Jack and my dad, yes he does smile and laugh and he's also very loud, i guess he does it with his important people like, Jack, me , Jack's mom and the team, and maybe my mom...but that's another time story
"Your brother thought I needed a change in the color so I let him do that, but then things got, how do you say, out of hand"joked pointing at the floor that was now pink probably because they tried to wash it off too late and, obviously, his hair.
"I can see that"I giggled
"l'll help you clean up the place, just give me ten minutes to change"I carefully gave my dad a kiss, trying not to get any paint on my face and I went up my room.
I used to share my room with Jack because dad didn't want him to be alone when he was away on cases but two years ago when i was fifteen and Jack was five we decided to finally split the room; thankfully our room was really big so it was pretty easy, i also bagged my dad to gave me the part of the room with the bathroom ;he said that because Jack used to pee his bed it was helpful to have a bathroom right there if he needed, i played the card of being the only girl in the house and that i needed a little bit of privacy in my bathroom and he agreed after a lot , and i mean a lot ,of begging.
I finally got rid of my backpack after a long day at school and studying at the library with Milo, I took off my shoes and I went straight to the bathroom to wash my hands and my face.
I went back to my room, threw a hoodie on and some leggings and went downstairs.
"Dad i said i was helping you do that!"of course my dad never listens so he was already cleaning the table"You can do the floor"he added with a smile"Thank you dad, the fun part"I stated sarcastically.
I took a rag ,some bleach and I started scrubbing the floor; obviously my dad didn't try that because everything was cleaning himself perfectly fine.
after everything was in his place i heard a phone ringing"SSA Aaron Hotchner...Hi JJ...yes...yes okey...don't worry I'll be there in twenty, can you call the team...thank you, see you in a bit" he hung up
"New case?"I asked, already knowing the answer
"Yes sorry Lilith, i promised we were gonna spend some time together tonight, I haven't seen you in days" he said with an apologetic tone
"Don't worry dad it's really not your fault,go fight some serial killers"i said with a reassuring smile and a hug
"If you want i can call JJ or Em and ask them if Milo can spend the night"he suggested when i was still in his hug
"Milo has to study, I think i can handle a night alone with Jack, just please tell him to listen to me"
"Okay, you can order food if you want, there's some cash on the bookshelf from last time, or you can eat the leftovers from yesterday,do whatever you feel like doing. Please put Jack in bed maximum at eleven, and you, please sleep a little and don't stay on the phone all night.I'll send you a text when i can.Let''s hope this color comes off easily or it's gonna e a fun night"he said disappearing up the stairs.
I wasn't mad, i knew it wasn't his fault but i really wanted to spend a night with my dad once in a while.
"I'm leaving, bye Jack, by Lilith; love you"the door closed, dad was gone.
We ordered a pizza and we ate together in the living room whileSpongebob was playing in the background,
Fortunately for me Jack was tired because it was Friday and he had a big day at school, so after an hour he was asleep on the couch with his head on my legs and a blanket over him. I picked him and hardly carried him up the stairs to his bed
"Lily can we say goodnight to mom"he asked
"Of course we can bud"-i light up the candle he used to talk to Haley-"Okay say goodnight to your mom"
"Night, night mom"he said in a sleepy voice
"Night, night moma...i miss you"i murmured
I gave Jack a little kiss and I closed his door.
I went back downstairs, checked that the door and the windows were closed, and checked the time: it was almost eleven.I took out my phone and open messages
Milo✨:Did PG ask you to go to the office tomorrow too?
Dad⭐︎:Just checking in, everything okey?
Garcia:Hi Sweetness, the team is out and they probably won't be back till Monday.I hope to see you, little Jack and Milo tomorrow around ten, what do you say?
I responded to each message, i told Garcia that i was happy to go there tomorrow and Milo was gonna be there, because no matter how much i love Penelope i wanted to hang out with my girlfriend, and of course i told dad that everything was perfectly fine , Jack was asleep and i was about to be, i told him to stay safe and i put my phone back in my hoodie.
I drank a glass of water and went back to my room, went in the bathroom and from a cabinet I took a pack of smokes, I took one and i hide the pack again; took my lighter and opened the window and I went on the roof, the most amazing part of the whole house i believe.
Up there I made the most amazing memories I could ever hope for.
My mom taught me to get there when i was eight, a year before she died, she loved to look at the stairs with me, dad of course was really scared every time he saw me, that's why we were careful to not be seen by him when he was home.
My first kiss was also shared up here, when i was fourteen, with Milo. She was a month younger than me and the daughter of JJ and Emily, that's how we met...well we pretty much grow up together, our moms really liked each others, that's why, when her moms and my dad were on a case she always stayed with us and we had the coolest nights a five year old could imagine.
She was there for me when my mom died and we grew up even closely 'cause in a way she was important to Milo's too. We actually didn't came out as a couple yet, because we are officially together for about six months, but we knew they all knew because, well, they are all profilers and even if Garcia wasn't ,she still knew, but that one was on us, we didn't really hide it in front of her , so when she was working on her computer we were sitting on the couch against the wall, to her right, holding hands and basically cuddling; yeah we needed to chill we know.
I came back to reality hearing Jack knocking on my door "Lilyyyyyyyy"
Panic, i pressed the smoke on the roof and throw it in the ashtray Milo setup there for me and jumped in my room
"Lily are you up"sleepy voice Jack was killing me
"Yeah I'm in bed come in Jack"i said after making a run under the covers
"Can i sleep here"he said silently
"Sure why not"i opened the covers and moved a little closely to the end of the bed
"You smell funny you know" said Jack naively
"Shush and go to sleep Jack"I gave him a kiss on the shoulder and turned the other way
I remembered to put my phone on charge and to set an alarm around eight thirty, I made sure to send a message to Milo saying goodnight and one to dad, and I could finally go to sleep ready for another day to start

Tumblr media
There are times when merely existing feels too wearisome, and there are times when you can’t be happier to be alive.
Wong Yukhei makes you feel both of these emotions simultaneously.
If someone were to ask what Yukhei’s really like (and you’ve been asked that a lot by curious crowds who’ve only ever seen him smile from afar and deduced he can’t be that nice) you’d say he’s an idiot. He’s not stupid, but he’s an idiot. Yukhei is a bunch of contradictions, but he’s your best friend and you’ll reluctantly admit, probably the best thing that’s ever happened to you. (Under no circumstances would you be caught dead saying that to him, even though you’re sure he’d just respond with a bone-crushing hug, grinning from ear to ear.) Obviously, you’ve got a lot of mixed emotions involved here.
The first time you met Yukhei, you were four. He had skipped over to you from another corner of the room, with wide eyes and a soft toy puppy in hand.
“You’re pretty. Do you want to go on a date?” he asked with a wide smile.
“No,” you responded, your attention still on your toy train. You glanced at him once and that was it.
“Okay,” he said, still grinning. Rejection wasn’t that big of a deal to four-year-old Yukhei.
Instead of leaving, he sat down beside you and watched you play. Eventually, you started talking to him about your fantasy land of trains and he, about his imaginary life as a firefighter. And after a few days, you and Yukhei were inseparable.
It’s quite the story for him to tell people, even if you never understood why he likes talking about it so much. It wasn’t very dramatic, or memorable like all the first meetings in books. But it’s always been a unique ability of Yukhei’s to make things sound a little more interesting as he animatedly told everyone at school how you were a cold, dark victim trapped in your lonely bubble and how he, your shining hero, warmed you up. You just make a face every time he forcibly brings you into the conversation.
Unlike elementary school Yukhei, middle school Yukhei was a little meaner, rougher at the edges. He never had any harmful intentions (you wondered if he had any intentions at all) but you always seemed to land the shorter end of the stick when it came to his shenanigans. A rapidly growing boy, he had difficulty getting his limbs in order and more often than not, he’d underestimate his own strength. Whether it was shoving you too hard or the one time he accidentally broke your toy train, those years had quite the horrors you’ve faced in life.
You’re lucky to have survived near him during his awkward teenage phase, full of hormones and messy feelings and Axe body spray. Yukhei’s never been good at telling people no and combined with adolescent curiosity, he’s been in quite a few choppy relationships.
But in the end, Yukhei still has the colour of a comic book hero. He’s always been the main actor of every play, whereas you doubt you’d get the role of villager C. Star athlete and the pride of your school, he’s never wasted an opportunity to enjoy the attention. You, on the other hand, prefer a little alone time. You’re different, immensely different, but you admire him for all that he is. He’s strong in a way you can’t quite describe, only appreciate in subtle ways. You’ve seen Yukhei grow from a boy who refused to admit he wasn’t happy, that he’s not always the smiling hero, to a man who learned to respect all emotions. He still hates to cry, sure, but he doesn’t do it in shadows anymore, pretending to be strong.

good night dork
Yukhei’s a whirlwind of life, bringing energy wherever he goes. That’s the first thing anyone notices about him. The way his face stands out in almost any crowd, and not because he’s built like a giant teddy bear. The way he can find friends in almost anyone, and all he has to do is flash that grin.
Growing up, everyone could tell he’s a little off-beat, but it only made people want to be near him. The more he stood out, the more he fit in. It’s no wonder you see hordes of people around him, smiling back at his own friendly, dorky gestures.
“You get a walk-in closet and I don’t even get a washing machine?!” Yukhei complains, plopping down on your bed.
You’re certainly lucky to get the biggest dorm room, even if the closet occupies half of it. Now, if your roommate wasn’t such a dick, the beginning of your college life would be perfect.
“Wha- how are those two related?” you ask, leaning back on the wall as you sit beside him.
“I have to go all the way downstairs to wash my clothes,” he replies, “Henceforth, I am upset.”
“When did you learn such big words, Yukhei?” you tease.
“I’m not stupid,” he defends, “Surprising, I know. Considering I got my hand stuck in a Pringles can last week. Again.”
You laugh as he shoots you a grin and sits up, tugging up his red jacket on his shoulder.
“At least you like your roommate,” you grumble, before lowering your voice. “I don’t know which supernatural being up there I crossed to get mine.”
Yukhei laughs. “It can’t be that bad!”
You roll your eyes and smack the back of your head against the wall. Of course, he wouldn’t get it. Yukhei gets along with just about anyone.
“So, we’re starting college, huh?” he shifts to sit beside you.
“We really are,” you breathe.
And so when college began, you couldn’t even feel homesick because Yukhei brought home with him.
College somehow manages to amplify Yukhei’s tendencies to fuck shit up. Bad decisions and good intentions—whether it’s getting drunk at parties, or getting a secret tattoo, or going for midnight drives in the brightest part of the city, he certainly is living his life to the fullest. And he gets new friends to do that with—boys with similar interests and trouble in their presence (except Mark, he’s the sweetest and is only dragged to places like you are). Kunhang is a babbling mess when it comes to drinking, Dejun has strange food choices and Jungwoo isn’t as naïve as he looks (but that’s on you, you could never blame Jungwoo for anything). Mark might just be the sanest, and even he has his quirks. You’re glad, though, for Yukhei to have found them and for them to have found Yukhei.
Despite all changes in Yukhei’s expenditure of time, he still finds a way to sneak into your spare moments.
“Tell me that story you were talking about,” he says, falling backwards onto your bed.
“Now?” you ask, still groggy after waking up from your unforeseen nap. Finals are not treating you well.
“Yeah,” he says, “You look like you could do with a break.”
Of course, there are times when you hate Yukhei. Times when he’s reckless, pulls you into messes you know you can’t sort, times when you just feel so fucking annoyed by your best friend.
“You did what?!” you yell.
“It’s not that bad!” Yukhei explains, waving his arms around wildly.
“I am not going on a date with a stranger!” you yell, your voice coarser than usual as you search for something to fling at him.
“It could be fun!” he replies, ducking to avoid the slipper you threw at him. “You could be meeting the love of your life—all thanks to me!”
You throw the other slipper at him, and he narrowly dodges it. “No way is that happening.”
It’s not like it took you that long to realize your feelings, after the beginning of college. It happened slowly at first, barely a meandering stream of water, till the waves suddenly came crashing and you were drowning in your epiphany. Suddenly, you can’t not think of Yukhei’s large hand over yours or his bashful smile directed at you or even the way his lips look plump and kissable in the morning, despite the rest of his face all puffed up. There’s often stardust on his cheeks, you notice.
Suddenly, you know why Yukhei has always been the main actor in your life.
But you can’t be as open about it. If it’s not the idea of your longest and closest friendship falling apart that blows up your fears, it’s the image of Yukhei’s smile falling as he tries to tell his best friend no, and having to pretend everything’s okay. If the void in your stomach is good for anything, it knows when to tell you the jump is too difficult to take.
If anything, you don’t even know what you mean to Yukhei, but that’s coming from the negativity you hoarded. You have your fears and your questions. If you cross his mind as often as he crosses yours. If you take even a square inch of his heart, if he’ll ever see you that way. You’re not sure what it’d feel like to be the most important person to someone. If you go as far as to call this love, why are you so reluctant?
“And?” you egg him on, crossing your arms.
Yukhei going to frat parties was a horrible decision, really.
“I got drunk and started doing body rolls in front of everyone?” Yukhei shifts uncomfortably on your bed. He’s probably spent at least half of his days here in your dorm room, only leaving when your roommate started complaining about how loud he is. To be fair, he does sound like baby Godzilla at times, worse when more of your friends are over.
“Yukhei, you’d do that sober,” you grimace.
“Well, you’re not wrong,” he says, pretending to think.
“Are you going to tell me what got you so uncomfortable?” you ask.
“I mean…it’s not that bad,” he begins, eyes glued to a corner of the floor to avoid your gaze.
“You made out with someone, didn’t you?” you sigh. It hurts a little.
Yukhei scratches the back of his head as he breaks into nervous laughter. “Yeah, and now she kinda thinks we’re a thing, and I don’t know what to tell her.”
You pinch the bridge of your nose. You wish you could yell at him, let him know in any way how awful you feel.
“Yukhei, you have to stop leading them on! Every party you kiss someone new. Any more, and you’ll get a bad reputation!”
“I know!” he responds quickly. “But I was so drunk last night I couldn’t remember my name.”
“But you remembered to dial my number?”
“Well…yeah.”
Yukhei fidgets with the hem of his sweatshirt. “I’d call Mark, but he was at his part-time.”
You groan, sinking onto the floor. “I feel like a parent with a stupid son.”
“Hey! Now that’s exactly what my mom would say,” he chuckles, scooting to sit beside you.
There’s a heavy silence between the two of you for a few moments. You gulp down any reproachful words you might have left and stare at your fingers instead. You can’t tell him how upset you really are, can you? You’d have to explain the why then.
“Are you…are you just scared my reputation will be ruined?”
You turn to look at him, but he’s staring straight ahead. “Huh?”
“I mean, is that…what’s making you upset? Just that?”
“Yeah,” you answer, and mentally curse your voice for cracking like that. “I don’t want people thinking you’re some sort of an asshole.”
“Me neither,” he says, looking back at you with wider eyes than usual. “I mean- yeah, that’s- obviously.”
You shake your head at him, but you wonder how long it’ll be till you break. You’ve never kept something so serious from him before. It’s human nature to want more than you already have; Yukhei loves chasing after things he can’t have, but you’re not him. You’ve never been him.
Only a few days later, you see your roommate fuming as she leads a rather flushed Yukhei into your room.
“Next time he comes here, I’m calling the RA,” she threatens with a glare before walking away.
You roll your eyes at her back before grabbing Yukhei by the waist lest he falls and smacks his head against your furniture. Your action, however, proves to be miscalculated (you always forget how heavy he is) as the two of you stumble to the floor, barely avoiding the edge of the bed. You stand up again; Yukhei seems to be half asleep with the way he’s struggling to move around.
“I thought you said you wouldn’t drink,” you grumble.
“I said I wouldn’t go to parties,” he struggles to form the syllables. “I went to a really cool bar…it had funky lights and stuff. And I was dancing…and it was so much fun! Except I underestimated how strong that drink was.”
You sigh heavily. “That’s all you talk about. Fun, fun, fun!”
Yukhei grins as he rises to his full height and wraps his arms around your waist. You’d chide him for the reek of alcohol from him if he didn’t look so vulnerable, dormant like this. His eyes are half-lidded with sleep and when he rests his forehead against yours, you swear your heart has skipped several beats in a row. It’s not fair how peaceful he looks with his eyes closed when he’s sent you into internal turmoil. The warmth of his body seeps through the thick hoodie, and you almost find yourself unable to move.
You swallow the feeling rising in your throat and pull apart.
“Come on, Yukhei,” you tug at his hands to remove them from your waist. “Let’s get to bed.”
“We’re going to bed!” he rejoices gleefully. You’re glad he’s complying at least.
Now if he would just let go, you could prepare a blanket to sleep on the floor.
Yukhei doesn’t remove his arms from around your waist, though. Instead, he pulls you into bed with him, and under the covers. This is nice, the stupid voice in your head pipes up again.
“We’re friends,” he mumbles, “friends do this all the time.”
Not when one of them has more than friendly feelings, you think bitterly. Struggling is futile against Yukhei’s iron grip, and you let yourself feel what you were trying so hard not to. When you look at him under the dim lights coming from your window, he’s already out for the count. You brush the hair away from his face and slowly drift off. It feels safe like this.
Of course, you pretend your heart didn’t jump at the sight of his face too close to yours. You’ve shared a bed when you were kids before Yukhei grew too large to fit the two of you and developed a tendency to drool. He has broader shoulders now, longer legs and he engulfs you when he wraps himself around you. In the morning, your body aches after being wound up so tightly on a small bed but you ignore it best as you can. You ignore the rising warmth in your face too when Yukhei departs with a secure hug and his wide grin.
You wonder what it’d be like to be Yukhei—ruin it all and hope it works out. You wonder what it’d be like to see his idiot grin every night, after a kiss against your lips. You scoff at yourself, face a brilliant red, whenever these thoughts walk in unannounced. It’s getting harder to pretend you don’t stop breathing every time he wraps an arm around you or lays his head on your stomach.
“So let me get this straight,” you say, “you can’t get a job at the diner because you’re too tall to fit into the mascot uniform?”
“Yeah,” Yukhei replies, clearly despondent. Usually, he’d be beaming about his height. You can’t figure out why the job means so much to him, but you get your answer soon enough just to greet it with a click of your tongue.
“The free pancakes,” he wails, “They give free pancakes and fries to their workers. I can’t believe I’m missing out on that.”
Yukhei suddenly sits up straight with wide eyes. “You can fit into the suit though!”
You smack your palm against your forehead while he laughs at his genius.
“You practically live in the gym and talk my ear off about being healthy,” you huff, “And now you just want to hog junk food?”
“I’m just good at being healthy,” he grins. “So I can eat unhealthily. You could do with some work, though.”
You raise your leg to kick him in the side but he catches your foot, laughing loudly at your resentful expression.
You’re about to throw the pillow at him when a click comes from the main door unlocking. The two of you freeze and look at each other. You know for sure this will be the last straw if your roommate finds Yukhei again, and you’ll be reported for good. Yukhei and you jump up in a panic and look around for any way to evade impending doom. The few seconds have you frantically searching for an explanation in case she does find him, and you swear at yourself for forgetting about her warnings. (In your defence, most of the things she says are meaningless and you have no reason to remember them.)
Yukhei points to the giant walk-in closet and sneaks towards it, careful not to make a noise. You tiptoe in before your roommate can enter the shared room, and hide behind a rack just in case she decides to come in. Yukhei isn’t small enough to be entirely covered, so you just pray your roommate has no intention of fetching a pair of shorts.
You hold your breath at the shuffling outside the door and move backwards carefully, only for your back to press against Yukhei’s torso. He stiffens at the touch but continues the needed silence. You end up squeezed in one corner of the closet, little ways from the mirror.
You sigh in relief once you hear the click of the door again. She must’ve come in to get notebooks for her next class, you guess. You turn to Yukhei but your breath hitches when you see him like that in the half-lit closet, his figure leaning towards you. It’s not very comfortable to have your body close against him, half twisted.
Yukhei’s gaze sends your heart into a pitfall. He takes a step towards you just as you take a step back and you end up pressed against the wall with Yukhei’s arms on either side of you.
“You’re still so pretty,” he says, his voice low.
A pause ensues before he speaks again, his voice barely above a whisper. “Can I kiss you?”
The touch of his lips against yours has you seeing colours you never knew existed. One of his hands still rests against the wall while the other is placed gently around your waist. You can’t quite remember the details except Yukhei’s lips are as soft as silk and you resent the separation when he pulls apart.
“I’ve wanted to do that,” Yukhei looks down as he speaks, his cheeks tinted a darker shade of pink, “for a really long time.”
“You’re so stupid,” you huff, “Or maybe I’m the one who’s stupid.”
He responds with a wide-eyed smile when you cup his cheeks and pull him in again, your fingers skimming over his lower jaw. This time you feel every touch of the kiss, your fingers tingling and your lips tasting his. The feelings you’ve been struggling to tie up and toss away come pouring out of you as you try to keep them orderly.
It’s different splashes of colour with each kiss and the two of you can’t help the laughter tumbling out of your mouths.
“I love you,” Yukhei murmurs, his mouth against your jaw. “I’ve loved you all my life.”
He places a chaste kiss against your lips before looking at you with an adoring smile. Yukhei’s never been good at using words to express his feelings, but he’s never really had trouble expressing them either.
“I’m sorry I took so long to realize,” you whisper, before pulling him by the neck of his sweatshirt and into another kiss.
Tumblr media
“I’m letting you go just this once,” you roommate calls when you step out of your room in the evening. “Congratulations on getting a boyfriend.”
You blush deep red and look anywhere else to avoid her sly grin. So she did figure it out. You owe her one, or more for not telling on you all the times Yukhei and the others have been over. Perhaps you had got off on the wrong foot. You should start listening to Yukhei’s advice on how to make friends. You should start listening to Yukhei for a lot of things.
Maybe Yukhei has always meant to talk about your colours but never found words good enough. Maybe he loves the way you laugh and finds himself doing more and more ridiculous things just for you. Maybe he’s told you that he loves you a lot of times but you weren’t listening. Maybe, just maybe, you too have always been the main actor in Yukhei’s life.

Memories
Bakugo X F!Reader
A/n: I wanted to get something posted today. I’m working on the request I have and I plan on posting it tomorrow! For now hope you like this! Sorry if its a little annoying but the reader has a healing quirk.
Tumblr media
(Image is not mine I found it on google, and thought it was hot so this is his outfit in the fic)
Bakugo was your boyfriend, he had just gotten done doing some intense training with Kirishima. He came in with his white plus ultra t-Shirt, baggy sweat pants, and the gloves from his hero outfit. As soon as he set his stuff down you ran up behind him and hopped on his back for a piggy back ride.He groans at your weight on his sore back.
“Hey babe how was your training session?” you ask full of energy. You had stayed home because you had a fever earlier. You were there all alone with nothing to do so you had a ton of energy.
“Tch it was nothing I kicked shitty hairs ass the whole time.” He says. You can tell he’s lying because he seems pretty beat up. you hop off his back and he sighs in relief. He hasn't turned to look at you which is weird because he always kisses you the second he gets home.
“Can you turn around for me babe?” you ask somewhat worriedly. He groans but turns around while looking at the ground. You grab his chin and force him to look up, that is when you see the wounds and scratches on his face. There’s a little bit of blood coming from one of the cuts, its not anything serious but you hate seeing him hurt like this.
“You dummy you should have told me right when you got in!” you say as you cup his face with your hands and start healing him with your quirk. While your healing him you put your forehead on his as you both touch noses. he sees a small tear run down your cheek. He doesn't like when you use your quirk because the drawback is that it brings up terrible memories the entire time your using it. He can’t take seeing you cry anymore so he rips your hands off his cheek.
“I told you not to use your quirk on me dumbass. I don't like seeing you cry because your trying to help someone else, especially if its me!” he says sounding very annoyed and irritated. he kisses your forehead and then pulls you into a tight hug. when you hug him back you use your quirk again hoping he wont notice. As you both pull away he sees that your still crying, and when he touches his face he feels that the cuts are gone.
“If I can’t stop you from using your dumb quirk then do you want to talk about the memories?” he asks sounding genuinely nervous.
“ We can talk about them later, are you still sore?” you ask hoping that he is so you can cuddle.
“Of course I’m still sore dumbass your quirk cant fix the pain just the wounds outside.“ you giggle at the fact he’s telling you how your own quirk works.
“cuddle time?” you ask looking up at him with puppy dog eyes.
“Go in my closet and take a hoodie, I could use some cuddles right now.” You imidiaely run up the stairs as fast as you  can and sift through all his hoodies and the clothes on the floor. You cant find the one hoodie your looking for, which is very good news. You run back downstairs grab his bag and grab the hoodie out of it.
“ Baby what the fuck are you doing?” he asks knowing that you’d be going for that one.
“I’m getting a hoodie just like you told me to do idiot.” you say as you throw it on over your head.
“Well no shit sherlock, but you can’t use that because its dirty pretty girl.” Bakugo says as if that's going to make you take it off.
“but Suki it smells like you! You know I love the ones that smell like you the most.” you say in your whiniest voice.
“I know that baby, but you do realize that since its covered in my sweat that if I use my quirk at all your going to explode right?” he says giving you the look that says “You already know why I don't like when you do this”.
“Of course I know that, but do you really think I care? No. Now if you want those cuddles as and as you made it sound then come here and cuddle me you big sweaty dog!” You say jokingly.
Bakugo comes over to you throws you over his shoulder, carries you up the stairs, then throws you on the bed. Right after he proceeds to fall face first right on top of you, his face falls directly onto your boobs.
“You know those dumb posts about a girls boobs being the best pillow? Well their absolutely correct. Your boobs are so nice and soft. I really should use them as a pillow more often.” You giggle a run your hands through his hair slightly massaging his scalp. You lean your head down towards your chest to kiss Bakugo’s head. He nuzzles into your chest some more.
“Ok now Im tired of laying on top of you. I feel like I’m crushing you.” and with that you two swap places so now your laying on his chest as he plays with your hair. This eventually lull’s you to sleep while you lay there on Bakugo’s chest.
A/n: I hope you liked this! Its currently 2AM for me so... I should probably sleep. but I know I’m not going to. Sorry if there are any spelling or grammar errors i’m very tired.

*
Remus wakes up to a distant sound of someone - with a very distinct and incredibly good voice, might he add - singing Queen’s “Love Of My Life”. The sun is barely peaking through the curtains; the morning glow is gentle enough to tell him it’s early in the morning.
He wiggles out of the cocoon of blankets he’s somehow created in his sleep - it’s almost unbelievable just how many blankets they’ve hoarded over the years -puts his slippers on (fluffy wolf slippers, complete with little ears and a tail - the whole family has an appropriate set of canine slippers, actually. Sirius thought it was too hilarious not to buy them), and shuffles downstairs towards the kitchen.
Just as he expects, there’s his husband, shirtless, hair put up in a messy bun, swiftly maneuvering around the kitchen while singing along to himself. The table is set with a variety of foods - there’s bacon and eggs, pancakes, toast, yoghurt and fruit, a pot of coffee (for Sirius) and another of tea (for himself). The post lays there as well, for now untouched. There’s also a rather big bouquet of flowers in the centre; there’s roses, tulips, peonies, even lupines.
Leave it to Sirius to ‘not make a big deal’ out of something.
“You’re up!” Sirius says to him, his face breaking into a bright smile at the sight of Remus. He dries his hands on a towel, throws it onto the counter, and walks up to place a quick kiss on Remus’s lips. “I made breakfast.”
“I see that,” he laughs. “You do remember the kids are in school and there’s no need to make breakfast for four people?”
“I’m perfectly aware they are,” Sirius hums as he gently kisses down Remus’s neck. “It’s a special day, though.”
Remus just nods, and then rolls his eyes when Sirius pulls up a chair for him.
“And they say chivalry is dead,” he laughs, reaching for the post as Sirius starts piling up his plate for him.
“Is there anything from Navi and Liam?”
“Yeah,” Remus goes to open that one first. He quickly gets through it, not bothering to read it all out loud - Navi likes to ramble, just like Sirius does. “Navi says she’s outraged at how ‘prefectly’ Liam is acting.”
“God, that’s just like me and James when you made Prefect,” Sirius laughs. “It’s good, though. He’s fit for it.”
“It’s nice to have something to be proud of, at least,” Remus comments. “A Ravenclaw Prefect. Don’t think Navi or Harry will ever do anything worthy of mentioning except maybe beat your detention record.”
“Excuse you, my daughter is going to be Quidditch Captain for Gryffindor soon enough, just you wait.”
“James certainly likes to think it’ll be his son.”
“James is a twat. It’ll be her, I can bet on it.”
“You and your Quidditch,” Remus hums with a smile as he gets through the rest of the mail.
There’s nothing else worth pointing out - just their kids excitedly writing about new classes, school drama, and what they might be getting up to in the near future. Harry sent them a letter too - something he always does, just like Navi and Liam write to James and Lily.
Even at this age, Remus can’t quite believe his luck.
He remembers coming to Hogwarts, aged 11, scared and alone and with a burden of so many awful secrets on his shoulders. And then came James and Sirius and Peter and Lily, and even though there was drama, and then certain revelations (in forms of himself and Sirius, and then, a little later, James and Lily), they made it through Hogwarts and after. They hadn’t drifted apart like Remus feared of, no - they became family.
And the little family of theirs only grew bigger. There was Navi, and then very soon after, Harry. Regulus and his wife, and their new baby boy. Liam, too, whom Navi befriended during her first year on the Hogwarts Express, who was the most polite and sweet boy, turned their daughter’s best friend, turned son when he suddenly left home two years back (just like Sirius had, once upon a time) and they took him in without a second thought.
At 36, Remus quite possibly has everything he’d ever want and more.
“Can I show you your gift now?” Sirius asks suddenly.
Remus looks at him in confusion. “I thought we agreed on no gifts.”
“Yeah… I kinda lied.” Remus furrows at him. “It’s nothing big, I promise! It’s not even a physical item.”
He sighs in defeat. “Okay, what is it then?”
Sirius bounces in his seat, turns to face him, and starts undoing a bandage on his arm.
He came back with it yesterday, and Remus didn’t think much of it at all; yet another tattoo, and Sirius has so many by now that Remus hardly ever asks about them anymore.
This one, though, Remus doesn’t even need to ask about when he sees it. He can’t ask, even. His voice is caught in his chest.
Right there on Sirius’s upper arm is a wolf and a dog Remus has been well acquainted with - Sirius got it tattooed on their first anniversary, when he was 17 (and positively insane - Remus yelled at him, then, telling Sirius it’s dumb to do that, since they’ve no idea if they’re even going to be together in five years and yet Sirius went ahead and got that inked onto his skin).
Now, though, the wolf and dog are joined by two little puppies - one black just like the dog, with the same joy to its expression (just like Navi, who’s a breathing image of Sirius in so many ways); the other brown and tame (the same shade of Liam’s hair, even complete with the curls). It’s a magical tattoo, so the pack is moving; the dog is bouncing around with the black pup, while the wolf is licking the brown one.
“I thought, twenty years together, we’ve two kids now. Seems appropriate,” Sirius says with a laugh. “D’you like it?”
“I love it,” Remus says, his fingers tracing the tattoo - the animals bounce around his fingers in joy, one of the puppies even barking at it soundlessly. “Sirius, that’s-”
“Shush, no getting emotional. I have like ten of these I got done for you. Thought it’s right about time to have a family one.”
Remus takes one more look at the ink, and then kisses Sirius longingly, only pulling away after he’s out of breath.
“I love you.”
“I love you too,” Sirius replies, and even after 20 years together, there’s still just as much honesty and youthful joy in his eyes - Remus is yet to tire of it. “Happy anniversary.”
