OH MAN. THE ENTIRE WAR ?? IN GREAT DETAIL ???? ME ?????? omg the war has like. but, to summarize; eichi had always loved idols his whole life and naturally wanted to become one. but when he had enrolled at the esteemed yumenosaki he noticed none of these students took being an idol seriously, which really got to him as eichi could die at any moment, and now he sees no one taking what he had always dreamed of seriously? so he crafted a plan with the help of keito (who has ties to the student council) and tsumugi (who is on good terms with practically everyone) to make the students feel like they could be the heroes rising from the ashes by "defeating the villain" that put yumenosaki in such disarray (even though this was of their own making). And who would be more suitable to play the antagonist against people who are selfish and lazy and dont care to put in effort themselves? why, the newly established Five Eccentrics formed completely against the members will of course! the five eccentrics who are naturally gifted and perfect in every way, unlike the other students who have now become "the underdog." and, since eichi is aware of how lazy these students are, he created a protagonist, Fine, to defeat the five eccentrics. fine was meant to represent the underdogs, hence why eichi made tsumugi officially considered the unit leader since he was the only one who was actually fitting of the title "underdog who came from nothing," and could thus set a greater example than the likes of eichi or hiyori who were born into wealth

the war was eichis meticulous plan to basically save the idol industry? or at least yumenosakis reputation, and eichi needed this done FAST because again; he could die at any minute, and he NEEDED to see it out til the end. and because he needed this plan executed in such a short amount of time he didnt care about spilling blood, ruining relationships, or making himself the villain in the end. eichi is a very self-loathing person, and during the war he had failed to realize that some people might actually genuinely like him as a friend. that part would lead to eichi unintentionally hurting those he held close too such as tsumugi, but his plan also ended up hurting the likes of leo, who he never even wanted to be part of the war to begin with because itd feel like kicking a lost puppy. only for the war to then affect leo probably the greatest of them all, as the events of Checkmate made him a depressed shut-in for half a year or so. once the war was over, the regret eichi felt was so great he didnt think he deserved to live, only for wataru to then show himself to eichi and express a desire for them to join forces and plan a second revolution, where they will be the villains and "defeated" by the shining new idols who will set a better example than they ever couldve

No fuckin thanks. Plus, sleep is exactly what you’re trying to avoid right now.

You flip on the TV. There’s nothing on, so you groan in both annoyance and exhaustion. You haven’t laid on your bed in three weeks, and you yearn to feel the comfort of your down filled pillows and silky sheets. Temptation becoming way too strong, you leave your shitty, uncomfortable futon and make your way to your bed.

Your room is cold, just the way you like it. You contemplate turning off the fan and turning the heat up a tad, just to keep you from falling asleep, but that would take away from the comfort factor, right? So you don’t. You pad your way to your bed, in all its unmade glory and climb in.

“Just gonna lay down for a few minutes. No sleep,” you warn yourself. “No sleep. Bad things come when I sleep.”

Your body betrays you as your eyelids grow too heavy to keep open. Your mind betrays you as it envelops you in a dream too delightful to keep yourself from.

You sleep.

You dream, and strangely enough…you feel. This dream feels great. There’s no images, or sounds. Just pure and overwhelming feeling.

This dream feels wet.

This dream feels like strong, long fingered hands pulling your thighs apart, leaving finger tipped shaped bruises on your skin.

This dream feels real.

I mean I liked the episode. it's not one of the best ever, but it was decent for the revival series, it was mostly enjoyable, it was fun. but I'm asking what you thought about that

i find strange bedfellows, the episode to which this ask is referring, overall pretty ridiculous. having this cunning, evil gambling addict being essentially norm peterson cosplaying as the chrome incognito guy doesn't lend itself well to being taken seriously...

i think george wendt couldve made a good killer, but he was severely miscast. that killer was way more befitting of a smug, old-money, jack cassidy type, whereas wendt would've been far better off as a new-money kind of guy. a wasted opportunity for the dot-com boom tech millionaire i wanted to see......

per the episode overall, i think "fun" as you said is a good word for it. it's fun, if nothing else. anyone who's watched a decent amount of columbo kind of implicitly knows that the reboot episodes throw caution to the wind when it comes to being rooted in any kind of reality. they're more like cartoons than anything. so, unsurprisingly, columbo working with the mob this closely borders on cartoonish.

by the 90s, everyone was thoroughly enamored with italian mob shit. we were hot off the untouchables, goodfellas/scorsese magic, and the godfather trilogy.

so being helped in no uncertain terms by falk's illustrious career as an actor in gangster flicks (he was nearly IN the godfather; he turned down the role of moe greene), along with columbo sharing a name with one of the real-life five families of new york, the show leaned into it. in fact, there are several plotlines in the reboot involving the mob--in undercover, the episode prior to this one, he straight-up disguises himself as a five families mob boss.

despite the cartoonishness, or maybe even in part because of it, i'd be lying if i told you i wasn't thoroughly entertained. that surreal fever dream scene where norm's alone in the restaurant, calling columbo in a cold sweat. the end where he's screaming for him.....

the premise behind this whole debacle--out of the frying pan, into the fire--isn't particularly original, but could've been pulled off. it's just so silly that you can't help but laugh.

good news is, rod steiger is absolutely fantastic as the mob boss

well. at least columbo gets shoved into a limousine and taken away. i delight in old man columbo being tiny enough to simply pluck and carry away so i can't complain about that

columbo gets kidnapped like three times in the reboot because he's so small. a saving grace if you ask me

Well, okay. That came by and hit me right in the face. Then it ran back for a second to get a good run up before hitting me right in the FEELS GUYS PLEASE!

This isnt something i couldve like even pictured for any amount of years ive been on tumblr. This is actually insane. Going from like ten followers to fifty to five hundred and now getting to currently 1005 has shocked me more and more at each milestone, but this is definitly a really fucking absurd one. To break the 1k boundary is absolutely imense and i dont even know how to discuss it because its so unreal to me. Going from someone barely anyone cares about to having people in the community i draw for tell me they see me as some kind of integral part of it is just not something i couldve thought of in my wildest dreams and 100% not something i can ever say i deserve or understand because i am really nothing special.

I cant thank any of you people enough for finding my blog and sticking with it. For enjoying my art and my content enough to click that follow button. For just loving and supporting me through the years whether youve been here for years or here for less than a week. Thank you to everyone whos stuck with me and supported my progression because its so weird looking back and seeing the way people react to my art now when i dont even see the reason people like it so much! while i adore hawkfrost to pieces i think he isnt really. Much. in canon warblors gatos. hes just kind of a bargain bin tigerstar with t-boy swagger. here's some assorted thoughts i have about hawkfrost and what i'd personally do to make him better

i think itd be cool if he had like a deep seeded fear of abandonment (sasha giving him and mothwing up to riverclan [shes right for that by the way im not disputing that. sasha has done nothing wrong ever], tadpole drowning, his surrogate mother suddenly turning heel and wanting nothing to do with him, him never being able to truly Fit In with the clans because its easier for the clans to forgive you for having a cat dictator as your dad than it is for them to leave you the fuck alone for not being 100% clanborn #CATXENOPHOBIA... etc etc) and this informs a lot of his decisions. mothpaw/wing pursuing being a clan healer couldve been perceived as her leaving him by hawkfrost coz they were both like gonna be warriors together or some shit. and thats why he faked the moth's wing omen to get her into power; like 33% of Evil Machinations 66% because he wants something to laud over her to make sure she doesnt leave him like everyone else has. i like to think hawkfrost also wouldve like developed a fear of intimacy and connection because of repeated abandonment which leads him to having an extremely hard time making friends because He Just Does Not Trust Them To Not Leave Him. so he pursues connection and attention and fulfillment via "safer" means (busting his ass to be a leadership figure in riverclan primarily and gaining admiration that way). also maybe hawkfrost would justify not having friends as like this weird superiority thing. Oh hes BETTER than everyone else theyre all SHEEPLE theyre BENEATH him. he doesnt NEED them (he does) (there is a deep pit in his heart that wont ever be filled)

and then this'd be more fucked when tigerstar waltzed right in and started training hawkfrost.

tigerstar wouldve capitalized on hawkfrost's isolation and insecurity to kind of mend him to what he wanted him to be (aka a war mongering shitheel) and hawkfrost buys into it 100000% because tigerstar is the first cat who actually Sought Out hawkfrost and tried to befriend him no strings attached (at least thats what it seemed like when tigerstar first began to visit hawkfrost and brambleclaw in their dreams to train them anyway.) tldr instead of being either Pretty Boy whos EVILLLLL but hes SLICK about it or Born Evil McGee (2) hes given more depth and hes now an extremely lonely pretty boy who is a gigantic fucking loser underneath his thin veneer of arrogance LOL

Blue - Standard blue design, i always have seen him with yellow eyes because of the pre-final cover of book 11.

Burnet - Silkwings based off of moths are fuzzy for future reference. Also she’s purple.

Silverspot - Based her off of the silverspot butterfly

Admiral - Peacock vibes. also all the flamesilks have flamesilk cuffs and nose rings.

Wasp - the green blood is from the fact the othermind has infected her for like, a century.

Io - i SWEAR there was a constellation based off of the myth of io and the bull but i couldnt find it??? anyways she has bull horns and teal star freckles

Aphid - i think i overuse green hivewing designs but also a lot of bugs are green.

Chafer - he runs the sugar dream, so pink cloud silks

Pierid - sleepy time

Bombadier - hate him 

Danaid - i WISH they brough her back in tfoh shes older than the tree wars she couldve been so interesting. heart wings.

Hawker - tried to emulate feathers with his wings

Clubtail - used the card club pattern

Weevil - creacher

Earthworm - shes a science professor

Lubber - they have black scales they’re little tears near the eyes

Grasshopper - construction band

Whitespeck - theres two whitespecks, this one is based off of the moth

Heliconian - lovecore

Fritillary - ‘lime green stripes’ i just made him gaudy

The Librarian - wanted to give her a unicorn horn

Cicada - pinkish hivewings underrated even if she sucks

Maple - ancient leafwings were much more colorful than modern leafwings, though modern ones still have colors beside green

Sunstreak - he is the only pure beetlewing we get so. made the most of him. beetlewings have hive horns + silk antanne + one see-through set of wings and one set of elytra

Commodore - baby child...

Jewel - clearsight had a classmate named jewel eyes. there was no indication they were ever friends but i am headcanoning a friendship there and now she named her child after jewel eyes huzzah

Orange - they sure are orang!!!!!!

Tortoiseshell - like a tortoiseshell cat

Cricket - inkblots

Bumblebee - chubby babie..... also the wiki lists cricket as her mom i think thats interesting

Katydid - cricket without inkblots

Scarab - she did a better job at raising cricket than cadelle did.

Cadelle - excess silks and jewelry because she moved to jewel hive and feels need to overcompensate.

Cinnabar - is cinnaio a ship. i think it should be

Morpho - frilly wings. also my proto-blue design because its said they look similar

Treehopper - idk man hes like an accountant

Tau - I took “color of mashed bananas” and RAN with it

Jewel - jade accessories and teal accents. honey-drop pattern black scales. emo eye scales. just pretty hivewing

Pinacate - She owns a store called raindrops, so blue and raindrop accessories.

Temora - Temora butterflies are really cool

Argus - OKAY this one has a bit of a ridiculous explination. one of my favorite video games ever is called witchs heart and one of the main characters is this guy named noel. okay spoilers for the second game in the rest of this explnation but when he was like 11 he got died by an eye demon and was inflicted with the “curse of argus”. at nighttime he becomes a huge flesh eye teeth monster but can seem human at daytime. his wings are based off his flesh monster form and the rest of his body is based off of his human form. so yeah i slipped a reference of my favorite game into my design blog whoops

Sundew - some red accents + red eye to reference a real sundew plant. also some leafwings have a red spiral tatto on their arm that deigns them as poisonwings. small ones like what sundew has are for dragonets, an extra loop means theyre an adult and a third means theyre first and second in commant

Willow - droopy. some other leafwings have a dark green stick-like tatto that deigns them as sapwings. all these tattoos r the same no matter rank.

Belladonna - purble!!!!

Cobra Lily - i had to give her like the wavy hair frills. pink

Hemlock - the idea of a shell necklace on a leafwing seems so fun. where did you find that shell little man

Nettle - purple but in a grey way

Mandrake - i have a semi crack au where blue and cricket divorce because blue falls in love with mandrake. not important to his design i just want yall to know this

Bryony - the star patterns.... muah. also have an actual oc named bryony but i did my best to ignore him when designing this bryony.

Wolfsbane - ultraviolet

Inchworm - i like his tail

Glowworm - her tail GLOWS

Pokeweed - hints of violent magenta in an otherwise cool green

Hazel - I give leafwing queens a thorn crown. i thought it was a cool idea but then i found out that it can also be considered a jesus thing. ive never read jesus though so like. coninkydink.

Sequoia - leafwings have green blood cause of that CLOROPHYL BABY!!!!!!! ive visited both a sequoia and redwood national park and those trees are massive. so she is massive too. she has a peg leg cause. war veteran. is blind in one eye. also do we ever learn what happened to her. does she. become queen again after tfoh?? or does she let hazel keep it??

Grayling - hes described to have scales the color of “a pile of chinchillas”

Hawthorn - EVIL time..... 2009 sparkledog oc energy was what i tried to channel

Cochiniel - Did wasp mcmurder her or did she retire. do you think shes still alive that would be so funny. shed surely have to be like 300.

Odollam - i hc theyr related to bryony

Bloodworm - red like blood

Snowfall - SNOWFALL MY BEST FRIEND SNOWFALL. i love her. orange and blue is sooo good. she has heterochromia but she is NOT hetero.

Lappet - dont have many greybrown silkwings despite so many moths irl being greybrown

Ivory - man im sooo glad snowfall has one good adult role model even if its just one of her generals who doesnt hate her

Lynx - LYNX MY BESTIE LYNX. love her. lynx spots. also ik the fandom likes making her cool fun bestie but shes LITERALLY the highest ranked second only to the queen so shes prolly like. real scary.

Mink - babychild....... ough i love she. i like to think that she doesnt get all sad and repressed like other icewing royals

Atala - rose imagery idk

Permafrost - we know hes snowfalls uncle but not on what side so i just made him glaciers other brother. he has similar coloring to snowfall but a similar body shape to glacier. cool.

Ghariel - gave him funky eyes

Crystal - her horns were so fun to draw

Polar bear - baby man little babyman

Opal - i went all out with her design. star spike tail was a must have. her spikes are opalescent

Dragonfly - teal hivewings are underutilized

Rootworm - i think hivweings would wear skirts even if theyre unweildy theyre extra like that

Jerboa I - standard jerboa design. her eyes are more red and horns longer than jerboa iii

Jerboa II - “she went wrong” can mean anything from she cries sometimes to eldrich abomination. i went with the latter. the dark feathers are cause jerboa said she would enchant an ostrich egg. Also i did photoshop real ostrich eyes onto her face youre welcome

Jerboa III - I think her necklace catches all of her scars, even small ones

Luna - I took “wings like cascading sunlight” very differently than her canon design. also purple cause shes based after a LUNA MOTH.

Dusky - puble

Glider - god his design was so fun to read. what do you MEAN LIME GREEN AND ROSE.

Swordtail - “took a cauldron of melted sunlight and flung it on him”

Sage - so TECHNICALLY sage could be a human but on page 112 of the brightest night graphic novel there is a letter adressed to sage in the sandwing library thus i decide they are a sandwing. hashtag nonbinary

Bullfrog - he was so funny i loved him

Pineapple - a littol bit fruity (literal) (figurative)

Carabid - stinky

Sky - basically my peril design but crank the saturation wayyyyy down. he has a rainwing frill like his sister cause i like to think some of chameleon bled through.

Mantis - the mantis hive was said to be scientififc so book

Malachite - cricket but orange

Hornet - I hc her and wasp as twins so their designs are. similar but not the SAME. hornet is more greenish

Clorinde - fun art teacher. also clorinde butterflies are like blank canvases with some paint on them...

Tsetse - i tried to give all the wasp famliy dark stripes

Earwig - red hivewings ended up being really common 

Yellowjacket - zesty and fun. her eye is. i just went bonkers with it

Whitespeck - there were two whitespecks. this one is based off the whitespeck butterfly

Vinegaroon - Vinegaroons can shoot acid so i gave her rainwing-esque fangs. not as bad as rain venom but it would still hurt

Monarch - a dying star. i made her a flamesilk because she desrves it. basically i think royal silkwings were decked out- huge frilly antennae and MASSIVE wings and silk glands on all ankles instead of just the front ones but then wasp killed her whole family so now those genes are rare to nonexistant

Freedom - a lot of designs i see just make her. orange leafwing. i didnt want that so i really muddled her up. shes an ancestor to all tribes! you shouldnt be able to tell whats going on there!!!!!!

glitch mode vs venom HUHHHHHHHH okay so i feel like i was slightly disappointed in the chorus build up for both songs, but venom definitely has a better one tho the second chorus is just soooo much better to me than the first one with the dramatic slowdown during changbin's part into the gradual speed up thru lix/hyunjin/hans raps w the iconic skz sirens going off in the background into geomijul drop to the point where i wish there was a way that the first geomijul chorus drop couldve been just as good which is so nitpicky but the track video was so good and i love the choreo for it when i saw it on tour <3 but anyways glitch mode is a hard one to beat hehe i love the very nct intro w the robot voices and the styling for the music video and the glitching choreo is so fun and also jeno (the fan chant is so cute with the echoed "nightmare" and "ok" haha) n mark's rap parts (lol i will never forget that light speed is "299792 [km] per second" now !!) and yeah i have the chorus memorized now just as a product of listening to it too often i think at this point i'm just personally very attached to this song after seeing it performed live twice too <3

CDREAM DOESN'T EVEN CARE ABOUT TGE SERVER. he doesn't care about anything. he cut off all his attachments that aren't to ctommy. if he really cared about the server he wouldn't actively be blowing a part of it up and ruining the lives of so many people there and running around causing wars when his citizens where litterally just vibing, greater good my ass, if he actually cared about the greater good, if you can justify the destruction of lmanburg because it was a blight he couldn't control then thats just a blatant lie, because ctubbo was mallable as a president, he easily played along with whatever dream said when the guy was friendly, and cdream had an obvious string to leverage (blowing new lmanburg up) if he didn't listen, a string he, from a previous attempt knows works, if he actually found lmanburg a blight he couldve just puppeted tubbo into getting rid of what he doesn't like about it "he wanted it gone" why? it's not like he couldn't get rid of any problems he had with it, and if the issue was lmanburg existing itself then that isn't for the greater good, that was a group of people that were litterally just vibing, he just ruined their lives and for what? if it's because he doesn't have any direct control over it then that's Bullshit for reasons stated above

liek. what are cdream apologist on.. a.side from y'know the lack of skill in literary analysis juice. i mean if they really want a character who would sacrifice Anything for the greater good try president ctubbo, and if they want to see a character willing to do a shit ton of fucked of shit for a cause they deem for the better even when it's arguably gone too far (how they seem to think of the exile arc, when they y'know Aren't victim blaming) (such as cutting off his lover's Hand Off) try c!sam)

If c!Dream's goal is the greater good, he's done such horrific and unnecessary actions towards that goal that he's a horrible person no matter what. Which is interesting! c!Dream can genuinely believe what he's doing is Good and Just, but be entirely in the wrong (or, he can be using that as a shield for his true goals).

What c!Dream's done, however, is utterly cruel and uncaring. He's ruined multiple peoples lives, without any sort of consent or informing them of why. He didn't allow people to choose if that was what they wanted, and has reacted harshly to people against his goals- which, again, he hasn't even informed people of. He's committed far more harm than he ever needed to- why did he need to continue to harm c!Tommy in exile once he was already terrified into obedience? Why did he put c!Tubbo through the intense trauma of a mock execution (which is literally a torture method btw) and c!Tommy through the trauma of believing he was going to be tortured forever in the final disc confrontation when he had more than enough reasons to be arrested? A lot of his actions are the most painful and traumatic way to achieve his goal even when kinder alternatives are there.

c!Dream's actions are, ultimately, selfish, no matter what he believes, and he's hurt pretty much everyone hes been in contact with without remorse.
