Just wanted to share this cause I'm proud of it— but this is the poster for my senior thesis as an Illustration Major.

Above is a poster for a dating sim concept that all stemmed from a joke of me randomly, with a name generator, hitting the button over and over until got two words that made a logical title and then was like... "WHAT IF I MADE IT A DATING SIM?!"

This is another still from the trailer with the other side characters / "DLC" content (if ya will).

I'll be making a (fake/concept) trailer in like... the next few days and have a voice cast (they only say one line) that I am incredibly greatful for. (I am the VA of Avigail) so I thought I'd share them here too!

I just wanted to share it here cayse why not!

The current WIP:

This is the splash art for my animation! Still have to put on some details and stuff, but it’s getting there! I’m aiming to have it completed within the next couple days, so I can submit it to an art competition that my college is holding!

This honestly might become my new favourite piece that I’ve made so far, and I can’t wait to finish it and post a better quality version of it everywhere!

Also have it currently recording a timelapse, so I’ll post that alongside it!

FMP UPDATE

FMP=final major project

Sorry that I've been inactive, I'm not good at actually posting.

For my FMP I was going to do a short horror film but that fell through badly because me and my actors all fell ill one after the other, so we changed the idea. Instead of a short horror film we are now aiming for the stars with a mockumentary about us failing to make the horror film! I thought this would be easier on me especially with the time restraint, I also had some material for it already from our first horror filming session because we can't do anything without bloopers.

I'll be posting some more posters that I've made for the mockumentary too so stay tuned for that!

I made this comic for a college project. The project goal was to tell in a book our college experience (first year). Days 63-72 it's been a lot!

The last few days I made a small adventure game in C++, did my C++ midterm, and wrestled with my C# homework program (Cengage is awful). The homework program used GitHub code spaces and mine is severely glitched and I can't turn in my code :/ so there's that. Just waiting on Cengage to fix it. Anyways I started on my C# final project called "Cat Nap Sleep Journal" it's an app that helps those with sleep disorders track their health for doctors to view. It's dedicated to my husband who has narcolepsy.

The next few days I'll be working on adding the pages for the buttons to go to, and adding the statistics which will be a beast I won't lie lol.

Following the release of the new Crow trailer yesterday, I felt inspired to take you back this #FlashbackFriday to a college art project of mine, created almost 30 years ago—yes, it makes me shudder too.

For my 3-D Design class, I crafted a pop-up diorama dedicated to 'The Crow', using Strathmore illustration board, heavyweight art paper, acrylics, ink, and colored pencils. The scene features Eric Draven (a tribute to Brandon Lee, may he rest in peace), sitting cross-legged with arms outstretched on a rain-drenched street in Hell’s Kitchen, amidst scattered photos that capture moments with Shelly and confrontations with his adversaries.

Remarkably, this piece has stood the test of time.
Although the tape might be peeling and the edges frayed, my real love for the film is forever.

My Senior Thesis is all done! Took me a day and half to finally collage all my assets and everything else together. Everything was drawn by myself.

The visual effects (sparkles, grunge effect, fire flames, and shattered glass) those are from Adobe Stock.

There was a tone of things I couldn't include due to time and my struggle levels, but now that thesis is over, I plan to draw all these characters for fun now and who knows, maybe one day make the game a reality if possible.

I also have a ton of other things I made to go with it, including the Voice Actor announcement cards (check insta post above), the promotional poster (older pinned post), Postcards and Business cards that include my email, website, and instagram, and Informational pages about each of the characters that I put into files to look like prisoner files that people can look through to learn about one's they may simp for a little bit more.

11.10.23 — Today I learned some basic verb forms and how to change them to polite form. Actually, verbs in their basic forms are not used in writing or speech, so you have to change them to one of the polite or casual forms. My notes don't look it, lol, but so far, it is pretty straightforward. Looks like it'll come down to memory and practice.

Besides that, I was mostly distracted today. Suprise, Suprise. I kept wanting to brainstorm ideas for my children's book project. I'm trying to get familiar with a few drawing apps on my iPad to figure out a way to make illustrations for each page (as much as I can manage as someone who never draws). One page will be about how I wake up and make coffee, lol, so I experimented with drawing a coffee mug in a kitchen setting. I really like watercolor illustrations these days, so I might try to figure out a way to replicate that vibe. I also spent some time writing the pages' text in English, which I will translate to Korean as I progress. There are a few sentence forms we are required to use but will not learn until the next couple of weeks, so I can only plan so far ahead. This is the first I've been excited to do something creative that isn't work nor necessarily the standard textbook-and-lecture sort of coursework, so I want to try my best to make something I'm proud of! :)
