Contemplating more Rune Factory “Special” changes/updates I’d like. In this case, things I’d like to see changed/added in a hypothetical, absolutely NEVER going to happen Rune Factory 4 Special+ (or Super Special, or Special 2, etc.)
Obviously since this game already has an updated rerelease, this isn’t happening. But there are still a few ways I think it could be brought even closer to perfection.
- So most of my wants for a theoretical “5 Special” came from 4 Special. Similarly there WERE actually several upgrades or quality-of-life changes made in 5 I’d love to see come back to 4 (or more realistically, maybe they’ll show up in 3 Special!).
- PLEASE let me just examine the stone/lumber box and add in all the materials I have instead of manually taking out stacks and putting them in. You can also do this for fodder bins and the fertilizer, which is nice, but the stone/lumber is the BIG one.
- Automatically picking up items as you run over them is great! I’d love to see that in other titles.
- Tabbing between storage options or categories when cooking/forging/crafting is super convenient. Hopefully that comes back, because after getting used to it in 5 I keenly feel its absence and get a smidge annoyed in 4 when I have to make something and then back out entirely to choose to make something else.
- Make Illuminata a romance option! It’s not clear if she was ever intended to be one and then scrapped, but personally I think she was. She is the only character outside the marriage candidates to have a swimsuit model & sprite, and she has several town events where she is a primary focus, similar to the events that are prerequisites for other bachelor/ettes. Plus she has lots of dialogue explicitly pointing out that she’s single and WANTS to find love. There’s really no reason NOT to make her a love interest other than her taking care of Amber, but if Amber is old enough to be romanced/married, then she’s old enough to live alone too. And Illuminata could continue to run her store after marrying the same way that every other love interest continues to do their job.
- I actually prefer the dragons in 5, but I know A LOT of people would love to see Venti as a love interest, and I’m not opposed to that. She’d be locked to a post-game romance, but she does have a human appearance and she seems to be into Lest/Frey (given her conversation where she blushes and starts to ask “If I were a human...”). Narratively she IS the person Lest/Frey cares about most so she’s got the role of a love interest already, kind of. It would be difficult to do since they’d need to add/change the story to allow her to change to her human form, and probably add a few town events for her, but it would be great if it happened. And perhaps including this would help the... abrupt ending to Act 3.
- Make it a little less ridiculous to romance Doug. I understand narratively why his friendship is INITIALLY gated at 3, but I think it’s ridiculous that it stays there until you’ve beaten Act 2 (which is basically the end of the story proper...). I think it would make sense to unlock the initial gate near the end of or after Act 1. After Doug comes around and basically decides to trust you and help Venti, or right after you beat Act 1 (saving Leon), I think you should be able to progress his friendship further. That said, it makes sense to keep his romance gated, so maybe until you’ve beaten Act 2, he stops progressing at LV 6. This way he won’t be SO far behind everyone else and if you want to romance him you’ll be able to do so almost immediately after he becomes available instead of taking several weeks just to get him from 3 to 7. As someone who dated multiple people in a run, Doug is at a HUGE disadvantage due to his late availability combo-ed with his affection almost surely being worse than everyone else. You either have to wait to date ANYONE to try and snag him first at LV 7 or basically give up in favor of dating others because it will only get harder to date him with every subsequent boyfriend and he will probably always lag behind in terms of affection, making any other guy easier to add to the harem by comparison. Literally all of this is mitigated by just raising his gated affection from 3 to 6 partway through the story. Depending on how long it takes you to complete Act 2 and whether you’re plying him with gifts, you might not even HIT the new limit, but even if you do, if you want to romance Doug it would be much quicker and easier now.
- Give players the ability to manipulate town events, at least a little. Technically players can already manipulate town events by determining when one happens and then just save scumming until they get what they want, but I want an in-game method that’s intended to help get the events you want. That said this IS an RNG system and I kind of like that. I wouldn’t want it to give you complete control. But I think something like adding “Orders” to the game at some point that allow you to, say, spawn “only town events involving [name]” would be GREAT. I won’t get into the particulars of how early the feature should be allowed (personally I think end of Act 1, but it could also be after Act 2 or an “Extra Order” reward for beating Act 3 and available from the beginning in any new game) or how much each Order would cost. I just think being able to force the game to only pick from town events involving a specific person (and including any mini-events) would be nice. Once you’ve seen all town events involving that person (excluding the marriage event, which has priority anyway) the order is automatically canceled. You could also cancel it yourself at any time. With this feature it would be MUCH easier to get the prerequisites for your intended spouse, but there is still some element of RNG considering everyone has at least a few events they’re involved in that AREN’T their needed events. This would also be great for trying to get mini events for characters you haven’t seen before.
- Some kind of weather forecast would be nice. With the exception of typhoons, people in town only comment on the weather that is currently happening. And you can still get taken by surprise if no one happens to mention the incoming typhoon or if you don’t talk to everyone. I believe weather is probably RNG as well, but if it was randomized and set like a week in advance, it would be nice if there was a way to check the weather for the next few days. Obviously this is most useful for making sure you KNOW a typhoon or snowstorm is coming and could wreck your farm. It also has other small uses - if you know a thunderstorm is happening you can remind yourself to go to the area that requires that to unlock. You can plan outdoor dates knowing the weather in advance. I don’t know about the airship or observatory but I KNOW there are variations of the lake date depending on the weather, so if you want to see them all you need the weather to comply. This way you’d know ahead of time and be able to plan for it.
- Lastly, either the game needs to be smarter about characters equipping everything they’re “given” or it needs to give players a way to directly, manually change other’s equipment from all the items they have. This is MOSTLY a problem with Kiel specifically since he has a reoccurring quest where he asks you to give him a weak shield and then he equips it EVEN IF IT’S SUBSTANTIALLY WORSE than whatever he had previously (and thus the better shield just DISAPPEARS), but in general I wish characters wouldn’t just automatically equip whatever you give them. If the system checked to be sure it was better than what they already had, that would be ideal. Of course, then you’d have to define what makes it better - which stats matter most, or is it the difficulty level of crafting/forging the item, etc. Alternatively, characters could have a stash of every equipment item you’ve ever given them and you can manually go in and decide what they actually equip (similar to the original .hack games, if anyone’s played those. In that game, characters did automatically equip “stronger” weapons/armor but you could manually change them to whatever you wanted that they had).
Overall I think 4 Special is an AMAZING game and I love it a lot. Most of my complaints are quality-of-life changes, compared to my more substantial issues with 5 (which is still like, but not as much. I like these games mostly for the social/romance aspect and that’s where 4 blows 5 out of the water even despite the RNG of town events making it way harder to actually marry who you want). In both games I long for more love interests, but that can’t be helped. Partly I just crave the extra content that would bring, though I do genuinely like and would want to marry some of those people if I could.
#rune factory#rf4#rune factory 4#for the record i will not be doing this kind of post for other rf games. simply because i haven't played any others#i mean i played some Tides of Destiny YEARS ago but i'm not familiar enough with the game now to suggest changes#maybe i'll revisit this topic when we get 3 Special (which will be my introduction to 3)#but anyway if i could make only ONE of these changes happen... i'd pick the town event manipulation#fun fact - i played lest my first run and was into margaret from the start. started dating her as soon as possible#in that file i have played over 2 full years & beaten rune prana. STILL haven't married her since i don't have all her needed events#(i decided i wasn't going to save scum for events. i wanted to get what i got and have relationships feel more organic as a result)#i did eventually cave and start dating other girls... and more girls... and am now literally dating ALL SIX of them#i've seen all but margaret and forte's marriage events. the only reason i DON'T have forte's is because i just recently started dating her#so i haven't gone on enough dates yet. but mark my words once that third date is done i'll get her marriage event immediately#leaving JUST margaret left. the girl i was MOST into as the LAST girl i marry. the RNG was not kind to me#my two frey runs have been much better by comparison but i am similarly struggling to get leon#so yeah as somewhat irritating as the other issues are and as nice as the QoL changes would be...#i would take more control over town events in a heartbeat. no hesitation. trying to get married in this game SUCKS

For the Love of the Game [Pazzi | Part 4/10]
paige bueckers x azzi fudd
summary: paige and azzi take the next step in their fake relationship
a/n: this one’s pretty long, hopefully it’ll tide y’all over for a bit 💋
word count: 2.6k
masterlist w/ all parts
“I don’t know, I guess we just kinda grew on each other.”
Paige and Azzi stood weakly under the scrunity of their entire team, hands interlocked. Paige hoped the younger girl couldn’t feel the sweat in the palm of her hand. Lying to Geno was no issue, but to her best friends that knew her almost as well as she knew herself? Damn near impossible.
After aggressively interrogating the new “couple” with question after question, the team finally seem somewhat satisfied by their answers and stopped the barrage, leaving Paige and Azzi alone in the locker room.
“Holy hell,” Azzi breathed out a sigh of relief as soon as the last of their teammates left the room. “Good thing we went over our story like a hundred times. That was rough.”
Paige raised an eyebrow. “It wouldn’t hurt you to practice lying a bit,” she remarked, wiping the sweat off her brow with a Gatorade towel.
Azzi bit the inside of her cheek. She hated when Paige made infuriating offhand comments like that, making her feel so inferior without even trying. “I’m sorry I’m just not naturally good at deceiving others,” she snapped.
The other girl stared at her before turning around to rummage through her locker. “I’m carrying most of the weight of this whole act, and you know it.”
The tension between the two of them returned, and they both changed in silence. Azzi mentally kicked herself. They were supposed to be on the same team now. No one on the team would keep on believing their act if her and Paige were always picking fights with each other. She might as well attempt to become friends with Paige, or as close to friends as she could get, so that their plan wouldn’t get ruined.
“Look,” Azzi sighed, breaking the silence, “we should probably like go somewhere and do something together.” Seeing the confused look on Paige’s face, she rushed to forge towards. “Not like a date, you know, but no one’s gonna believe we’re dating if we’re being nasty to each other. We should probably get to know each other and stuff.”
Paige nodded. It seemed like she was understanding Azzi’s idea until she said, “so you wanna get all up on me?”
“Oh my god, Paige-”
Paige’s eyes twinkled in amusement, having gotten the reaction that she wanted. “I’m messing with you. Yeah, that sounds fine.” She checked her watch. “Actually, you free right now?”
Azzi looked at her in surprise. “Why? You wanna go now?”
Paige threw her shoes in her backpack and zipped it up. “The sooner the better, am I right? Your car or mine?”
“I’ll drive,” Azzi offered. She figured she might as well take as much control over the situation as she could. It would be a lot easier for her nerves to quiet down if she had the wheel in her hands, literally and figuratively.
————————
Azzi rolled down her window, trying not to steal too many glances at Paige. They were painfully silent - the only sound in the car was some terrible country music filtering in from the radio. Azzi had initially connected her AUX, but decided that she didn’t want Paige to judge her music taste.
After a few minutes, Paige had had enough. “Bro, can we turn this shit off or play something else?” she begged, her tone dripping with annoyance.
“A please would be nice,” Azzi griped, resisting the urge to turn the volume up louder just to irritate Paige even further.
Paige folded her arms, hitting her head against her seat with an exaggerated thump. “Who even listens to the radio anymore?” she muttered under her breath. “It’s like I’m in a car with my grandma.”
“I’m not putting my playlists on just so you can shit on that too,” Azzi responded dryly.
“I wouldn’t do that,” Paige muttered. Then in a louder voice, “Can I play my music then?”
“We’re almost there. You can’t sit for another two minutes?”
Paige huffed. “Where are you even taking me?” She made a show of looking around their surroundings at the streets.
“Relax, it’s a good spot. They have good tacos.” Azzi smiled at the thought of biting into one of those mouth watering, juicy, shrimp tacos with the lime salsa she loved so much. Even if Paige was being an ass, at least she’d get to eat well.
When they reached the location, Paige was pleasantly surprised. She wasn’t sure what she was expecting, but it definitely hadn’t been this. They were at an outlook on a hill, a little green park with some old town restaurants and stores nestled in the corner. The hill overlooked the city below, the entire atmosphere bathed in a soft pink light from the setting sun.
“Damn,” Paige whistled, taking it all in. “You did good for our first date.”
Azzi’s cheeks flushed a light pink and she look away, tucking in one of her braids behind her ear. “This isn’t a date.”
Paige bit her lip. She loved when she got Azzi all flustered. Not because she thought it was cute, Paige reminded herself. She just liked to annoy her. “Oh really? I was gonna pay for your food, but I guess not,” Paige joked, dodging when Azzi tried to hit her.
Paige didn’t really know how the two of them so easily switched between frosty exchanges like the one on the car and then light-hearted moments like these. You guys were fickle.
“Okay, so what’s the plan?” Both of you had gotten your tacos, and were sitting at one of the picnic tables scattered next to the Mexican joint.
“I mean, we already got our story done.” Azzi carefully drizzled her tacos with salsa. “I think it’s the chemistry part of all it. We have to really sell that we’re dating through our behavior.”
Paige nodded in agreement. “Yeah. But we should probably set up some boundaries first.”
Azzi’s heartbeat quickened at that. She would be lying if she said she hadn’t thought of the extent your fake relationship would go to. She’d already accepted hugging and hand holding and other basic forms of PDA - they wouldn’t be able to sell their act without it. But she shivered at the idea of there ever being a situation where you guys would have to kiss.
“I’m a pretty touchy person,” Paige admitted. “The whole team knows that. So you’re gonna have to deal with a lot of contact, or else they’ll know something’s up.”
“Yeah, that’s fine,” Azzi muttered. Paige looked up at her, studying her with a small smile on her face.
When she kept on smiling, the dark haired girl shifted uncomfortably in her seat. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Paige was full on grinning now, as if Azzi had just the funniest joke ever. “Come here,” she motioned her head to the spot next to her on the bench.
“Go there?” Azzi rumpled her eyebrow quizzically. “My seat right now is perfectly fine, thanks.”
“Don’t be annoying.” Paige said. “Just come here.” Knowing how stubborn she was and that she likely wouldn’t stop bothering her until Azzi agreed, she gave up, pushing her food to the other side of the table and walking around to join Paige.
Easeinf her way onto the seat, she made sure to leave a gap between them. “Now what?”
Paige’s eyes flicked to the gap inbetween them and she rolled her eyes. “Why are you so far? Come here.” She reached out and wrapped her arm around Azzi’s waist, easily moving her so that the entire sides of their bodies were now flush against each other.
Azzi felt slightly lightheaded, but she blamed the feeling on the fact that she wasn’t a very touchy person in general and wasn’t used to this much contact with anyone in general. “Are you gonna tell me why I’m basically on you?”
“If you wanna sit on my lap, just say so,” Paige teased. When she was met with nothing but raised eyebrows, she said, “We gotta practice the public displays of affection and stuff. It needs to be able to come out of us naturally. We can’t be just be awkwardly holding hands, you know?”
Paige was smarter than Azzi gave her credit for, but she still didn’t like this feeling she was getting, all riled up with her heartbeat quickening from touching Paige. They were so close that Azzi could smell the perfume that the blonde must have sprayed on her neck, all sweet and fragrant.
They ate like that, without a single inch of space between them. It wasn’t as awkward as Azzi had thought it would be. It almost seemed natural, the way their bodies were so intimately pressed together. It was nice, Azzi thought, the warmth of someone next to you. She could understand why some people’s love languages were physical touch.
“Hey, are you Azzi Fudd?” Two giggly girls had approached their table. The one who had spoken had wide eyes and a breathy laugh.
“I am,” Azzi gave them a small smile. She agreed happily when they asked for photos and a signature; she loved UConn fans, and it was nice being recognized out in public every once a while. It made the sweat and tears that she’d dedicated to her sport worth something.
The girls were excitable though, and every time Azzi tried to end the conversation, they brought up another thing. Azzi could feel Paige fidgeting behind her, itching to get away from the curious but increasingly nosy questions of the girls. She tapped her foot against the pavement and sighed loudly. But Azzi ignored her, enjoying Paige’s growing exasperation.
But finally the girls seemed to take a hint, thanking Azzi profusely as they left. She looked over at Paige, who had already started throwing away her food and heading back to the car.
Furrowing her brow, she started to jog after the blonde. “Thanks for waiting,” she joked sarcastically once she caught up. Paige pursed her lips and continued walking, this time at a faster pace. “Are you trying to run away from me? Have you forgotten we’re heading to the same place?” Azzi puffed out, trying to keep up.
“You know, people don’t usually spend half of a date talking to someone who isn’t their date,” Paige responded, the harshness in her tone catching Azzi off guard.
Then realization dawned on her. Paige Bueckers was jealous. It surprised her somewhat - everyone knew Paige enjoyed being the center of attention. She just didn’t know that Paige could be jealous when it came to her attention. And she didn’t necessarily hate it.
“Hold up, Bueckers.” Azzi’s lips quirked up. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous.”
Paige snorted. “You wish. It’s just that the whole point of coming here was to work out any holes in our plan, yet we didn’t discuss it at all.” She sped up even faster, and Azzi grabbed her elbow, forcing her to spin around to face her.
“Are you mad?” Azzi asked, amusement still lingering in her eyes. When Paige didn’t respond, she stepped closer, brushing a blonde strand behind her ear. “Did you wanna practice, Paige?” She said, voice a whisper now. Deciding to have a little fun, Azzi let her gaze drop down to Paige’s lips before looking up at her through her lashes.
Paige visibly swallowed, and Azzi relished in the effect she was having on the girl. She was used to making Paige mad, making her voice rise and cheeks flush in frustration, but she could get used to this - making Paige nervous, making her heart race.
“Practice what?” Paige rasped out. Her eyes were focused on Azzi’s lips, so Azzi wet her bottom lip, letting her tongue slowly run over.
“You know,” Azzi purred, now bringing her hand up to run her fingers up Paige’s bicep. She danced her fingertips Paige’s skin, not letting it stay in one place for too long.
Paige exhaled, moving to bring Azzi closer to her before Azzi burst out with a laugh. “Oh my god,” she cackled. “You should’ve seen the look on your face.”
Paige stepped back, her jaw clenched. If Azzi didn’t know better, she would think that Paige looked hurt, with her eyebrows dipped down and expression rigid, but she brushed it off. There was no way Paige cared enough about kissing her to actually be disappointed.
“I guess my flirting skills are getting pretty good, eh?” Azzi teased, but the other girl didn’t even look at her. This continued the entire way home, Paige staying silent while staring out the window, their dynamic now back to its fluctuating state.
“Are you mad or something?” Azzi asked once she had parked outside of Paige’s apartment. Paige ignored her, trying to open the door. Azzi smirked as she saw Paige struggle with the handle before realizing that she’d turned child lock on.
Giving up, the taller girl crossed her arms. “No.”
“Then why are you being all moody? Is this cuz I was flirting with you?”
Paige sucked in a breath, her cheeks hollowed. “What do you want me to say?” It was a genuine question, because even Paige wasn’t sure of why she was feeling like this. Her entire body had thrummed when Azzi had looked at her lips, and for some unknown reason she’d wanted to bring Azzi closer, to see what she tasted like. It was completely and wholly alien. Up until now the only thing she’d wanted to do to Azzi was bounce a basketball off the side of her head. And now Azzi’s pretty pink mouth was stuck in her head, had been burning in her mind the entire ride back.
Azzi shrugged, and that’s when Paige decided to take back the wheel. “You were right, actually. We should practice kissing,” she announced, feeling satisfied once Azzi’s eyes widened.
“Why?” Azzi stuttered.
Paige leaned over the console, a fiery look in her eyes. “You were all confident back at the park. What happened?” She challenged.
Azzi swallowed her nervousness. Cocking her chin, she said “I’m just scared you might pass out. You were a little bit too disappointed back there when I pushed you away.”
The girls’ eyes locked in a staring contest, both of them refusing to back down.
Until Paige opened her mouth, and blurted out, “I’m going to kiss you.” Azzi stared at the older girl, shocked by the abrupt bluntness of her statement. They both continued to look at each other, and when Azzi didn’t say anything, Paige leaned in, pressing her lips to hers.
Instinctively, Azzi brought her hand up to Paige’s cheek, and Paige tilted her head slightly, leaning into her warm touch. Paige’s lips parted, and Azzi took that opportunity to brush her tongue against hers.
It was like everything was moving in slow motion. Paige couldn’t even believe that she was kissing Azzi, the girl she’d gotten into more arguments with than she’d ever had with all of her teammates combined. Azzi, who always made her head spin and blood pressure rise. Azzi, who was annoyingly good at basketball, who knew how to get under her skin and press her sensitive spots. Except now she wanted Azzi to press different sensitive spots.
Paige was gentle and her lips so much softer than Azzi had expected. As they kissed, she let her fingers slip into Paige’s hair, feeling its soft silkiness. Her nails scraped Paige’s scalp, eliciting a soft groan from the blonde’s lips.
After what seemed like forever, they broke apart, panting and staring at each other in disbelief. Azzi licked her lips, now swollen, studying Paige, whose pupils were dilated and hair slightly mussed up from Azzi’s hands. Paige’s eyes, so pretty and blue, fluttered closed for a second before she reached for the handle of the car. “It’s getting late,” she swallowed. “I should probably go.”
Without a word, Azzi unlocked the car, watching as Paige hurriedly gathered her things and left. She walked briskly away with her head down, not looking back once. Once she’d disappears into the building of her apertment, Azzi groaned, letting her forehead rest against the wheel. What the fuck had they just done?

Saw you were reading The Book of Love by Kelly Link - thoughts? I'm a huge fan of her short stories and excited to read Book of Love, but a bit daunted by its page count. I hope her writing holds up in longer form.
Hmm, I have... mixed reviews? I haven't read her stuff before and preordered BOL on the strength of the blurb when my local indie bookstore was having a sale in January, so this is my first exposure to her stuff. I love me some nice fat supernatural/fantasy novels, so the page count isn't an issue for me, but I'm now about 400+ pages in and am hitting the point where it definitely feels padded/somewhat aimless in terms of story progression, and where the style is less evocative/lyrical than before -- in other words, it does feel like it's laboring at this point to justify its length, and I'm not sure it does.
Her writing is often very imaginative in its use of language and I enjoy that, as well as often quite funny. But my major issues with BOL are a) the aforementioned meandering when the story needs to move forward but isn't exactly doing that, and b) for a "book of love" that advertises itself as being about emotion/connection/love of all kinds, I'm... not really feeling that coming through? It feels like she wants to discuss these themes while also being ironic and Cool about it enough to make sure that nobody thinks she does actually want to play these tropes straight. Which is a bit of an irritant for me in re: how all modern media thinks it has to be Edgy and Cynical and not actually sincere. (I.e. how everyone still loves LOTR because it's not afraid to actually be sincere and deeply emotional.)
Likewise, on the note of "this book is supposed to be about love" I am increasingly finding the characters rather dislikable and thinly drawn, and that they don't like each other very much despite the narrative's attempts to claim otherwise. There are absolutely good moments, I enjoy the basic contours of the plot, and I will probably finish it, but I don't think it's as clever or revelatory as it gives itself credit for (and so do all the swooning blurbs on the back). It's also possible that things will pick up a bit/resolve more clearly in the back end, but yeah, at this point I would give it probably a 3 or 3.5 of 5 and say that you should read it if you enjoy her stuff, but wait for either the paperback or the library.

Character interactions and dynamics I really wish we got/will get more of in the show:
Max and Will-
Probably one of the most commonly asked for ones because...yeah it's weird we *haven't*. They're in the same friend group, they have a lot more in common than pretty much any other combination (both financially struggling, both with absent/abusive father figures, both clearly have significant self esteem issues, they're 2 of the characters for whom music has been a key motif (SISOSIG being kinda what kept Will sane in the UD and Running Up That Hill saving max) etc), and now they're the 2 characters who have been specifically targeted by the upside down. Plus they're kinda...inverse in many ways too. Will is outwardly very soft spoken and gentle but we have seen when he gets pushed too far he can be feisty and irritated and all that, meanwhile Max outwardly might seem super detached and unapproachable to some people but she's actually super sweet and kind internally. They would balance each other out so much.
Max and Mike-
Come on, these 2 are both polar opposites and exactly the same. They clashed heads so much earlier but are now friends but we haven't actually...*seen* them be friends. Season 2 they were antagonistic, season 3 Mike was mostly about El and thus only started interacting with Max when her and El became friends so again they were negative towards each other, season 4 she had all of 2 scenes with him while awake, one at the basketball game and one in a flashback. I want them to have a friendship that is very much like "I will never stop mocking him but I will also beat the shit out of anyone who crosses his boundaries" from Max and "She is annoying as all hell but I know I would die for her if necessary" from Mike. I need these 2. And I need a combo of Mike, Max and Will because that would be great.
Robin and Mike-
Part of this is Maya saying *she* wants more scenes with Finn, but also because I think it would just be good for Mike to spend time with her. She's almost too open with how she thinks and Mike kinda seems to have a bit of trouble with noticing that type of thing with some people. It would be cool to see him interact with someone who just...rambles about her thoughts like she does, would perhaps help understand her somewhat and Mike needs that. Plus Robin having a lack of a filter she might accidentally call out some things and give advice Mike has been needing to acknowledge. Also I feel that Robin would be such a cool figure for Mike with her being multilingual and stuff, I can't help but feel Mike, as a writer, must think that stuff is neat.
Robin and Will-
Surprisingly *not* so much because of their sexualities, though yeah it would be nice for them both, but also because I think that Will is a type of person who likes just listening to people be passionate and excitable as he can be quite quiet himself. I feel like the things that Robin does that some others may find annoying he'd be almost endeared by once he gets used to it. And as for Robin, it would be nice for her to have a person who I guess she feels she can kind of help bring out of his shell around her without worrying too much about coming off as rude since Will like...is barely capable of getting angry.
Steve and Jonathan-
Both of these characters have grown a lot but we haven't actually seen them interact much past season 1 when they were...well, not exactly on good terms. Nancy told Jonathan that Steve has grown a lot and he seemed hesitant about that, I think it would do good for him to see he actually has, and I feel like now that Steve has gone through his character arc, he'd be more understanding of Jonathan himself. Jonathan could see the fact that people like him can grow and change, and Steve could further see how unfair surface level prejudice really is, like he did with Robin in season 3
El and Will-
Despite them being siblings, we haven't actually been shown them together much. Up until season 4 they barely shared a word outside of life or death situations, and then in season 4 they clearly love each other to death and have great chemistry and are family but they were separated for so much of the story it still ended up surprisingly bare bones. I wanna see them just...have heart to hearts and teasing and being siblings together.
Jonathan and El-
Seriously one of my biggest complaints in season 4 was the lack of a relationship between these 2. I genuinely can't remember a single conversation the 2 of them had, I don't even know if there were any. El having a big brother has such great potential, someone who is neither a full authority figure, even a loving one like Joyce or Hopper, nor someone her age who is going through similar life phases as her. Plus both of them are protectors, Jonathan had to protect Will all his life, El felt responsible for protecting everyone. I so wish we saw more of them, or...*any* of them
Will, Lucas, and Dustin-
The only 3 I'm grouping together because every point kind of applies to any combo. They're clearly great friends and would die for each other, but the show has focused so much more on romantic relationships, Will's friendship specifically with Mike, Dustin's mentor type dynamic with Steve and Eddie etc that we don't really see just those 3 or a combination of those 3 spending time together. And I really, really wish we did
There's more but this post is long enough so I'm gonna leave it there. What I'm noticing is my God Will really needs to interact with more characters in the show because how is it that he has one of the weakest shown connections with Max and his literal *sister*? It's not even me loving him, I genuinely think it just makes so little sense it's weird

Food Wars! Review!
Hello! In today's anime review, I'll be talking about an anime centered around food: Food Wars!
Tumblr media
As you've probably guessed by the title, Food Wars! (or Shokugeki no Souma) is an anime about food. Yeah, very surprising, I know. It has five seasons (it's really six, but one's split into two arcs for some reason) of either 24 (S1 and S3) or 12-13 episodes. It's a good old Shounen taking place at a school with a good dose of humor. Good old recipe (see what I did there?).
So, let's start off with Season One, shall we? I liked that it took the time to introduce the main characters who will appear all throughout the anime, as well as the setting. That way, you have a solid grasp of who's who and what's what. The fanservice really catches you off-guard at first, but you're quick to get used to it and find it amusing. Warning, though: watch this anime with HEADPHONES or watch it ALONE. Just saying.
Season Two was excellent. For me, it's undoubtedly the best season of the whole show, with peak suspense and some of the most intense moments in the anime. It's unpredictable, adds some new really good characters, sets up some new rivalries and dynamics, etc. In addition to that, the plot remains simple and straightforward, which is obviously best in an anime that relies so much on its cast. You don't have to think, just enjoy.
Season Three is where issues start to come up. It is split into two arcs, but they both share the same flaws. Mainly, the anime loses all its unpredictability, which takes some enjoyment away. After all, when you know who's gonna win before a battle even starts, it's not as interesting, right? Luckily, the already-introduced cast is still great, but for one specific character who gets turned into a jerk. Another flaw of this third season is the new antagonist introduced. Let's put it bluntly: they're not that good. It's the usual evil-looking character who's related to one of the good guys and will haunt them only to give them some development. It's still a good season, though!
I was worried at the beginning of Season Four, and honestly thought the anime was losing steam. Still, with a nice ending, this season redeemed itself and managed to (somewhat) recover from the mess of the previous one with the antagonist. It's still a little predictable, though not as much. Also, the protagonist gets perhaps more development than in any other season, which positively surprised me. Honestly, the ending of this fourth season really had the vibes of the final ending - and frankly... it probably should have been.
Season Five is the final season. Ironically, even though I believe it was one season too many and that the plot had already been sufficiently covered in the previous four seasons, it's still really good. The ending is, at least. The rest's okay. The new antagonist sucks a lot, though, on top of being even more ridiculous than the aforementioned one. One big plus, however: it gave solid development to one main character I was struggling to thoroughly enjoy before. It closes off the anime nicely with a satisfying conclusion that, while not perfect, remains pretty good.
This anime's first and main strength is how good the characters are. None of them are absolutely superb, but there are only few who really suck. The cast is complementary, has good and developing dynamics, and some neat rivalries! The protagonist is your usual dumbass, but he's fun.
Musically, this anime's fine. It doesn't have any memorable tracks, but none that irritated my ears, either. All openings are very solid, though, and really catchy. The animation is not the best, though that doesn't mean it's ugly at all.
Now, this anime has a lot of fanservice, so that's something to keep in mind. It's not invasive at first (and it's one of the gimmicks of this anime), but I have to say it gets a little more extreme in the last two seasons for a reason that's not explained extremely well. It fits with the silliness of the plot and characters, though.
Overall, Food Wars is a very good anime. It has some great moments, great characters, funny quirks, and if you enjoy eating, it should make your mouth water. You might also learn a thing or two! I strongly recommend it. It's a fun time.
Down below is the tierlist containing all the characters! Thank you for reading this review!

"if you think you will get many kudos and comments on a fic, usually the exact opposite will happen" > these do be the facts. Could I request for 17 and 18 of the asks?
Yeah, they are. Very unfortunate facts too imo 😩
And yes, ofc you can!
-
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
Oh boy. That's a tough one. For one, I have so many WIPs, which makes the choice difficult, but also I like to keep a sense of suspense in my stories, which means I don't exactly want to go into detail about a fic before it's fully posted. Don't want to ruin the surprise for y'all.
Because of that I will have to pass on sharing those juicy details about a current WIP. What I can do instead is talk about one of my posted fics and the universe it is set in with mentions of what you may expect from the sequels.
That fic would be Lemon Meringue Pie in the Smitten verse.
When I was initially writing down ideas for that fic, it was just supposed to me a morning after the wedding night story with some spice, but then it grew on me.
I started really thinking about Tobirama's thought process, the reasons behind his reactions, his childhood, the way he grew up, his relationship with his own sexuality and gender, and what I ended up with was this story of self-discovery and newfound joy.
Tobirama in that fic goes on one hell of a journey. He is initially confused about his reactions and feelings, because he was never allowed to think outside of the bounds of his conservative upbringing. In a way, this gradual unveiling of truths about himself and the world around him mirrors my own journey, which makes it somewhat personal.
I liked writing this ace spec Tobirama who is suddenly liberated - a Tobirama who is finally free from the rigorous rules and from the limitations of the Senju clan. And it was nice to write him happy too. His relationship with Madara in this AU is very soft and sweet, and playful. It is not without its issues, as the ending of the fic showed, because they both still have to do a lot of learning and what they do know about each other is just the beginning, but there is this sense of joy in the opportunity to find out more about someone you can see yourself caring about that I liked exploring.
In the sequel to this fic, Our Summer Butterflies, I'm planning to explore more of Tobirama's journey of self-discovery. In Lemon Meringue Pie he only just found out that what he is feeling is natural and perfectly alright, and it will take time before he can fully accept it.
Also, Tobirama in this AU is gender fluid and that will also come into play at some point.
Another important aspect is the matter of Tobirama's trust. He had definitely learnt the hard way that he cannot trust just anyone (Butsuma taught him many lessons and all of them were painful) and he needs to find out for himself that he can trust Madara. Although he is willing to do it in some aspects already, he isn't ready to dive all in. I can tell you right now that Tobirama will be putting Madara through some tests to see if Madara is really trustworthy.
I'm hoping to start posting Our Summer Butterflies in late Autumn, so stay tuned, I guess? 😅
18. Choose a passage from your writing. Tell me about the backstory of this moment. How you came up with it, how it changed from start to end. Spicy addition: Questioner provides the passage.
I cheated a little and @wisiaden picked the passage for me, cause I swear I instantly forgot every scene I wrote the moment I read this question 🤦
Either way, this is a passage from Looking for Home aka my first published mdtb fic 😅
“When you married Anija... Um, that’s not it, not really. Sorry, I just... Um, when... Well, the anniversary. Your wedding anniversary. The first one. How did it...?” He breathed harshly through the nose, irritated at his inability to voice the question properly. “What I want to know is... Well, could you maybe, um, explain how does one celebrate such an occasion?”
If Mito was surprised, she didn’t show it. Her expression was calm and thoughtful instead, full of kindness.
“It is different for everyone, I think. There is no proper way to celebrate it that has been agreed upon if that’s what you mean.” She smiled at him and squeezed his arm once again, the gesture strangely reassuring. “It is kind of customary to spend time together if possible and some couples exchange gifts. But I know people who do neither. Treat it more or less like just another day, you know? It all really depends on you and how your relationship works.”
Tobirama mulled it over for a moment before responding. “So it doesn’t have to mean anything?”
“No.”
“What if it does... but only to one person?”
“Hmm, an fair point,” Mito said. “But I think only one person can celebrate too.”
“Wouldn’t that be strange?”
“Why?”
“Because it’s...” He bit his lip, a maelstrom of thoughts in his mind as he tried to put his meaning into words. “Marriage is supposed to be about partnership, right? Wouldn’t it be, well, counterproductive to do things like this alone?”
When I was planning this fic, I initially didn’t have a specific idea for a scene with Mito. I did know I wanted to involve her somehow in the story, because I like the idea of her being a sisterly figure for Tobirama, but the inspiration to write this scene didn’t strike until pretty late in the process.
What I ended up writing in the end is Mito and Tobirama discussing, in a way, what it means to be in a good relationship. Tobirama at this point in the story is lost and confused. He doesn’t yet understand why he is drawn to Madara or what his feelings for his husband are and he has no prior relationship experience to fall back on. Despite being so intelligent, he is struggling with this problem and it’s immensely frustrating for him.
Mito is able to see it, of course. She also suspects the reason why Tobirama is so lost, but she is intent on letting Tobirama figure things out for himself.
And he does, doesn’t he?
Even though Mito tells him it’s alright to spend the anniversary however he wants and to celebrate it in his own way, Tobirama is able to realise and admit outloud that it is not something he wants.
He has the right idea of it too.
Marriage is a partnership. You’re not meant to do things alone.
He also for the first time voices a fear he doesn’t yet fully acknowledge when he asks Mito what if something like an anniversary is only important to one person.
In this moment he is really saying to her is “what if I love Madara, but he doesn’t love me back?” and Mito rushes to reassure him that his feelings are valid regardless of whether they are returned or not.
Overall, I like to think that this is a pretty simple scene that foreshadows and reveals a lot of things about mdtb’s relationship in this fic. It was pretty interesting to write it too, from what I remember.

Heyyy I was wondering if you could write an Eren smut fic??? Basically a super Dom Eren fucking you really rough to the point your body feels numb and gives out but Eren is there to hold you up telling you to take it like a good girl
say it;
Tumblr media
❥ eren x reader | 3.3k words | nsfw
❥ content: dub-con ish, dirty talk, slight degradation, vaginal fingering
❥ this story was also just an excuse for me to write the whole one bed trope LMFAOOO, i also forgot to read the ask request again so this might not be exactly what you requested :((
Tumblr media
"okay, you guy's sleep well!" armin's voice lingered as he furthered down the hall, spinning his room key around his dainty finger as he followed annie to the hotel room not too far from you and eren's.
"eren?" eren turned around before he twisted the knob to your shared hotel room at the sound of mikasa's voice, her standing there, bag dangling at her feet beside jean. "are you sure? i can switch rooms with _____ so me and her can share a bed and you can have a room with two beds with jean."
you and your close friends decided to take a trip upstate, and at your arrival a hotel was in much need. luckily, there of course were enough rooms for the semi large group on the same floor; annie and armin sharing a room, sasha and connie, jean and mikasa, and of course you and eren.
the issue? there weren't enough two bedded rooms.
you and eren being the last ones to sign a room out opted to take the room to spare your friends, the both of you wanting your friends to be comfortable.
you didn't have a problem with eren, and vice versa— the two of you not being the closest in your friend group, but their wasn't necessarily a problem between you guys.
you weren't so fond of eren's personality, he was a little too rowdy, a little too rough, a little too snarky, and a little too... much. of course for eren, he wasn't too up to par with you either.
eren sighed before shaking his head. "i told you it's fine mikasa."
"we want you guys to be comfortable." you added with a smile at mikasa, her blank gaze drifting to you. it made you a little uncomfortable, but you knew she meant no harm; as a a matter of factly you were closer to mikasa than you were to eren.
"connie let's go, they're literally talking about the rooms for like the hundredth eighty seventh time, come on, we don't have to wait!" sasha groaned tugging at connie's hand who waved a goodnight to the remaining four of you before walking off with sasha.
"you su—"
"yes, mikasa."
mikasa looked down at her feet at eren's quick reply, before jean patted her shoulder. "... yeah let's go mikasa. eren said they're fine, i'm sure they'll be fine... uh, let's just go."
mikasa nodded her head, a goodnight said to the two of you as well before you and eren headed into the room as well.
it was a nice room, the closet door being a large mirror with the bathroom to the left which you'd be using to change in a second. the bed sat smack dab in the center of two nightstands, newly illuminated lamps placed on each side as well. the bed was a little spacious enough for you and eren, and you could only hope he wasn't a crazy sleeper— you didn't doubt it if he was though.
"i'm gonna change out." you said, placing your bags down next to your side of the bed.
"i'm gonna sleep on that side." eren commented, pointing to where you placed your bags. you gave him an incredulous look.
"seriously? i'm literally already over here.."
eren shrugged his shoulder. "i always sleep on the left side."
you rolled your eyes, and to prevent arguing with the brunette, you moved to the right side, then shuffling through your bag for your pajamas and going to the bathroom to do your night routine and change.
once you were out, eren didn't go in, already changed into black sweat shorts and shirt missing. you could tell he retied his brown locks as less flyaways were present in the front of his head— it was either that or the fact that he was already lying down, covers strewn on his thighs, so the stray hairs gravitated from the front of his forehead to the sides.
"eren, seriously? could you at least have on a shirt if we're gonna sleep together?"
eren pursed his lips at the last part, but held back his joke, especially since he didn't know if it'd end in awkward silence or not. instead he let his eyes linger over your frame who was placing your products and clothes back into your bag from the other side of the bed. you caught his eyes at the last second, and you crossed your arms over your body.
"you don't really have clothes on either."
you looked down at your body, an oversized shirt covering your shorts. a sigh left your lips before you crawled into bed flicking off the lamp and eren reciprocating. in the dead of the newfound dark you let out a mumble; "just stay on your side of the bed."
how hard was that to follow?
clearly somewhat hard for eren jaeger.
you didn't even know what time it was, lots of time having passed since you let out those last words. you were having trouble falling asleep, and you reckoned eren was too from the way he shuffled beside you. your eyes were closed but the littlest shuffle could snap you out of your half sleep state.
eren's arm draped over your midsection, your body stiffening at the gesture, but then you made up your mind— he was probably sleep. however, to you the touch felt somewhat cautious— his arm had flew to your waist fast but right before it could sit, it slowly brought it to your waist then placed it carefully and strategically.
you let it be, you didn't want to disrupt his sleep.
and you let it be again, when eren brought you closer, securing you in place whereas your backside came in contact with his chest. you could feel the ripple of his abs on your lower back and the warmness he brought almost made you want to snuggle closer. the heat of his breathing touched your neck, every breath he released you could feel grazing the back of your neck, even when he leaned in closer until his nose was touching your neck.
you were so tense, not wanting to move just in case you woke him up. not that you really wanted to move. his body heat radiating off of him brought heat to your own skin, and the way your bodies almost fit together perfectly like a puzzle gave you some kind of domestic feeling.
you didn't not like eren, he just never was up your ally, thanks to his personality.
of course... he was attractive in the least— you couldn't lie.
you were jolted from your thoughts when the hand on your stomach began to move in circles, occasionally pinching at your skin, and you were wrong, you were wrong,
he was awake.
i mean, right? of course sleepwalkers existed, so you didn't doubt people could move their hands in their sleep if they could actively get up and walk. but the breathing on your skin felt too fast, the way his body touched yours felt too.. awake.
"eren..." you murmured, your hand moving overtop of his, and you felt the arm around your waist tense up as well.
he didn't answer for a good amount of seconds, his hand stilling on your stomach. "you awake?" you gripped his hand on yours, preparing to pull him off of you but you hesitated when you felt him pull you closer until your ass was pressed against his front side. his voice was groggy, and scratchy, and you could tell he probably did try to fall asleep.
something was preventing him from doing so.
"i usually sleep with a pillow." he excused, breathing in heavy before loosening his grip a little once he felt you weren't gonna move.
"really? you could've just put a pillow in between us instead of using me as a pillow."
his hands went up to squeeze at your waist before dipping lower to your hips to give it a light squeeze as well. you could've swore you felt his leg come a little more over yours as well from the way he spooned you. "this is better."
if you were being honest with yourself his touch was comforting— and maybe even a little more than that as well. it was too late to move him now, and like you thought earlier; it wasn't like you really wanted him to move anyways.
after a brief moment of silence eren spoke again, a light mutter of your name. "______."
you sucked in a breath before responding, feeling his hips shift against yours, and one of his legs now moving to stay atop yours. "yes, eren?" your tone was unleveled, you tried to make it sound irritated but it was shaky and unconvincing.
"you feel good," your eyes widened in the dark and you felt his hands drift completely to your waist to hold you against him without shame. no response to him back. you let his lips come in slight contact with your skin, where they were just ghosting your shoulder at this point. you got the hint whether he thought you did or not. "feel good against me like this.."
eren's hips rose up and you could feel him hard against you, you weren't even sure if he had boxers underneath his shorts, his length feeling free as it moved against the cheek of your ass, and you stifled a gasp. "c'mon, say something, i know you felt that."
he advanced, hearing no protests from you. he let his hand slide down until it slipped under your shirt, beginning to graze the waist band of your shorts. his lips were fully pressed against your shoulder now, but only that— only being pressed against you, unmoving until he spoke again. "can't you tell how bad i want you?"
his hand slipped past your shorts, and only cupped you through your underwear, but the heat that wrapped around you as well as the words that left his lips had you moaned. "fuck, mhm..." eren hummed lowly against your shoulder as his finger prodded at your clit, his cock continuing to rub against your ass. "been wanted you so bad though, ever since mikasa brought you around us."
eren's lips on your skin began to turn into sloppy kisses on you that traveled up from your shoulder to your neck, eren now aware that you'd let him have his way with you, as you still made no effort to stop him, and that was because you wanted him just as badly.
"but you always hung you with sasha, jean and them, 'never really got to talk to you but, fuck—" your mouth was dropped open at the feeling of the kisses peppering your skin and the feeling of his fingers moving aside your underwear until it slid through your wetness causing eren to groan against your skin. "you're so fucking wet—" you subconsciously lifted your leg as he pushed his finger into you, your walls sucking it in easily, and causing you to let out a whimper. eren grabbed your thigh to push it back until your decided to maneuver your body 'till you were on your back. eren pressed himself flush against your side continuing to finger you, your face scrunched up in pleasure.
"'wanna fuck the shit out of you so bad."
eren's lips connected with yours, sloppy kisses while his finger pumped in and out of you, him adding another one to stretch you out good, your back slightly arching off the bed from the intrusion that just felt so nice, and you could only imagine what eren would feel like. the sound of your slick getting pushed in and out filled both you and eren's ears and egged him on, his tongue slipping into your mouth, the mint of your toothpaste mixing into his mouth, pure lust felt through the kiss. "listen to that— god, let me fill you up real good, _____." he said against your lips.
you pulled away to catch your breath, chest heaving up and down, then hastily nodded your head but quickly realizing eren couldn't see you, the both of you having turned the lamps off when first attempting sleep. "yes, fuck, yes, eren." and he wasted no time slipping his fingers out of your cunt, and even though you couldn't see it you heard him begin to suck on them, popping the digits out his mouth with a pop while he scrambled to pull down his shorts, and you doubt any boxers were there to come down with them.
eren climbed over top of you, his movements rough as he practically shoved your shorts down your legs along with your underwear.
it had been a while since you had slept with anybody, ever since your new group of friends you never payed too much attention to anyone interested in you, nor did you take an interest in anybody. you preferred to indulge in the activities your circle dragged you into, likewise this trip. so when eren lined himself up with you and attempted to slide into you your hand flew down to grab at his upper arm as you hissed in pain. 'oh my— fuck!" you didn't get to see how big he was, and you almost wanted to turn on the lights to get a glimpse.
eren stopped his movements, sighing in impatience. his hand came up to rub small circles on your clit, clearly eager to sheath his whole length inside of you. "shit, c'mon,"
your mouth gaped in pain, and you knew it'd turn into pleasure if you just let him move a little further, but the way you pushed at his arm made it seem like you were trying to move him away further. eren seemed to feel that way too, his hand coming up to grab at yours on his arm and pinning it to the bed. "don't run."
you whined when he lent forward to ghost his lips over yours, essentially pushing more into your tight heat. "take it like a good girl." and with those words, he engulfed your lips into his once more while he pushed in, swallowing your cries. your hand flew to give you more comfort by making its way under your shirt and cupping at your breasts, your lack of bra making it easy. "m'gonna move now." you nodded against eren's lips, him pulling away to bury his head in his neck as he started to move in and out of you slowly at first.
he stretched you perfectly, your pussy accommodating him nicely. with how wet you were the pain subsided quickly, eren sliding in and out more easily with every stroke. you felt so full, and it felt good. eren lifted his head from the crevice of your neck, his strokes become deeper yet faster, and you threw your head back so it was further into the pillow behind you, your palm coming to your mouth as you moaned into it. "your pussy feel so fucking good, _____, shit—"
"eren, please, faster." your words came out like a plea, and you could tell that drove eren even further, his hand coming up to your neck until he was grasping it tight— almost using it for leverage as he fucked into you faster at your request, but not only faster; harder, your body jolting with each of his thrusts. you were practically already creaming around him, your slick gathering around the base of his dick, collecting in a ring with every push and pull out of you.
"so you want this just as bad, yeah?" his voice was taunting, and his grip on your throat tightened. "wanted to be fucked on me like this so bad i bet." he murmured, his thumb pressing on the side of your neck, restricting your breathing. your hand came up to grab at his wrist in panic, and he stopped pressing down, loosening his hold and sliding his hand down to cup yours through your shirt on top of your tit. "say it."
"ngh, eren," your eyes rolled to the back of your head as he pumped into you slower yet went impossibly deep, his tip kissing your cervix every time with the way he lifted his hips to meet you. and with the way he lifted his lips came his length stroking that sweet spot inside of you that had your own hips lifting, moaning every time, that familiar feeling beginning to form in your lower stomach.
"say how bad you wanted me." you were sure if you could see eren, he'd be staring at you with a lustful stare, green eyes, trying to intimidate you, submit you into spilling what he wanted to know. it wasn't like you weren't gonna say it, after all he was somewhat in control of your building climax, you just want to mess with him a bit.
you were still silent until eren stilled his hips, hand feeling up your neck until it reached your jaw, grabbing it harshly between his thumb and remaining fingers, giving it a slight shake. "i'm waiting." he didn't even need to add on, just the lack of movement down below caused your body to grind down on his dick, trying to create any movement to make up for the void he left. you let out another whine.
"i wanted you bad eren, wanted you to fuck me good— please keep going."
"that's why you didn't move me earlier, huh?"
your legs were feeling tired, you muttering an “i can’t,” to eren. the position you were attempting to hold your legs up for him was causing your left leg to cramp up, and you let out a whimper before letting them drop to the bed. the way he was fucking you hard, was taking a toll, yet you wanted him to keep going. you could imagine how your legs would feel tomorrow, and not only that but the questions your friends would bestow upon you.
eren sighed letting go of your jaw, both hands sliding down until they met the fat of your thighs, giving them a quick rub before pushing your thighs back and holding them so they were pressed against your midsection. “can’t even hold your legs up for me?” eren murmured before finally continuing to fuck you.
this angle felt much better, constant stimulation on your g-spot as eren pushed your body down, his dick brushing over it with every thrust, and he knew you were getting close. your hands started to grip at the sheets, the sounds that left your lips were becoming more incoherent, and the way your back tried arching off the bed despite the position. his hand come down to rub at your clit again, helping your orgasm come sooner. "come on, come all over my dick."
and after a few more of his strokes you were coming undone, cumming all over eren as he asked, your pussy pulsating causing him to squeeze his eyes shut as you became impossibly tight around him. you let out a loud moan that you were positive jean and mikasa might've heard if either were awake from next door to you, or maybe whoever was the poor guest on the other side of you.
eren groaned, and although his hips stuttered he quickened his paced and chased his own orgasms until he too felt it coming, pulling out and letting go of your legs, them falling back to the bed while his hand pushed at your shirt until it was gathered up on your chest, him pumping himself until he finished all over your stomach, the two of you secretly praying none of it got on the bed.
eren and you were both out of breath, panting heavily as eren collapsed next to you, dick still twitching, but so was your body. "that was good." eren blurted out once he caught his breath.
"...yeah, yeah it was... i can’t really feel my legs." you joked, you and eren both letting out a laugh. "i'm gonna go clean off." and with that, you tried standing up, but you had to steady yourself with the bed, legs ready to give up on you.
eren must’ve heard your small stumble because he shifted his head towards you and then fumbled with the lamp beside him, finally getting to see your face and you finally getting to see his.
eren chuckled before patting the bed. “i’ll get you something to clean up with.” soon enough after he left to the bathroom, you sitting back onto the bed, holding your shirt up, he returned with a wet napkin, and handed it to you to wipe at yourself before discarding it for you as well. eren climbed back into bed with you after slipping his shorts back on, both of you staring at the ceiling only shoulders touching this time.
"hey, we never tell them about this... right?" eren sounded genuinely concerned, and you let out another small laugh that he smiled at.
"yeah, eren. they won't have to know."
so, how well did you and eren sleep that night? well... you would've suspected you both had your own beds.

***Drinks and Secrets***
Seven days after your last encounter with Kurt, you finally had his desk delivered back to his office which was located at the Dublin theatre and music district at the back building of a large venue.
Next to his office were several recording studios which meant that, whilst you were recording your new album, you saw him more frequently than you would have hoped.
In addition to working on your new album, you were working on an advertising campaign for the upcoming arts and music festival. As part of this campaign, you were recording a song with Amanda and another Dublin artist named Jeremy who gained a lot of popularity lately.
He was a nice man, in his late thirties who had a lot to offer. He played several instruments and it was easy to work with him and Amanda, at least until Amanda tried to organise a date between you and Jeremy.
She told you about it over some drinks on a Friday afternoon following a day at the recording studio.
‘I have two tickets to see the new play at the Abbey. I was going to see it with Cillian but, since we broke up, this isn’t going to happen. I thought that, perhaps, you could go with Jeremy’ Amanda said with a big grin on her face as she handed you a pint of Guinness.
‘Jeremy? Why would I go with Jeremy?’ you laughed, somewhat surprised by Amanda’s suggestion.
‘He is handsome, a real gentleman, funny and defiantly not a douche like Kurt. Despite, you said that you liked older and more mature guys’ Amanda laughed.
‘Well, perhaps you should ask him out yourself then?’ you giggled, causing Amanda to sigh.
‘I am not ready to date anyone Y/N. In fact, I don’t know if I am over Cillian yet’ Amanda said somewhat disappointed, causing you to take in a deep breath as you thought about your recent encounter with Cillian.
You were overrun with guilt as Amanda continued on, talking about her breakup with Cillian. You knew that you shouldn’t have slept with him, but then again, you didn’t know that you and Amanda would be working together again until three days ago when one of the other musicians dropped out of the project.
‘So, do you think you will give it another chance?’ you asked curiously.
‘I don’t think so. I think he made up his mind. To be honest, I don’t know if I still have feelings for him or if I just miss the sex’ Amanda laughed just before she ordered another drink.
‘Right…that good, eh?’ you said as your face turned red almost immediately. Of course, you knew the answer to your own question.
‘That’s probably too much information, I am sorry. The beer is getting to my head’ Amanda said with some embarrassment.
‘It’s fine, seriously’ you responded before telling Amanda a little bit about your relationship with Kurt.
In turn, after Amanda had more beers, you learned that Cillian liked to take control in the bedroom and you weren’t surprised about this in the slightest, thinking back to the night at your apartment where he took you over Kurt’s study desk. The same study desk that was now in Kurt’s office once again. The thought of it made you giggle internally.
But then, the conversation changed and became more serious when Amanda told you the real reasons behind their recent break up. She believed that she was at fault, pushing him away slowly over time with her jealousy and trust issues, trying to prevent him from socialising and leaving him no space for himself. She accused him of cheating several times but later found out that there was nothing behind the rumours. Cillian eventually had enough of her antics and broke it off again.
‘Oh my god, I am sorry. I usually don’t drink’ Amanda said as she observed your facial expression when she continued to talk about Cillian. She was certainly more direct and open about her sex life than you had hoped.
‘I think I should get you home’ you said with a warm smile, feeling a sense of responsibility, and Amanda nodded in agreement.
Since you only had two beers over two hours, unlike Amanda who had at least six or seven, maybe more, you were still able to drive and you helped Amanda to your car, hoping that press wouldn’t notice her state. After all, she had quite a following herself.
Twenty minutes later, you pulled up in front of Cillian’s house which was where she was still living at the time as the settlement of her property was delayed.
Supporting her, you walked towards the front door and rang the doorbell. Within a minute, Cillian opened and couldn’t believe his own eyes when he saw you with his completely drunk ex-girlfriend.
‘Hi’ Cillian said somewhat surprised as he took hold of Amanda. She barely managed to walk by herself.
‘Hi’ you said, your eyes avoiding his.
‘Uhm, thank you…’ Cillian chuckled, not knowing what else to say to you, before asking you whether you wanted to come inside.
‘I would love to use your bathroom, if I could’ you laughed as you had to pull over earlier when Amanda got sick and your clothes smelled like vomit.
‘Sure, common in’ Cillian said just before he pointed you to the bathroom and helped Amanda getting out of her vomit-stained clothes.
You left the bathroom door open slightly as you cleaned yourself up and observed Cillian getting a bucket from the laundry before telling Amanda to have a rest.
After he helped her to lie down, placing the bucket next to the bed, he came into the bathroom to speak to you. He left the bedroom door open slightly so that he could hear if Amanda was getting sick, worried that she might miss the bucket in her state.
‘What happened? It’s only 6 o’clock’ Cillian asked almost amused.
‘She just kept drinking Cilly…I don’t know’ you said with a chuckle as you tried to wash the vomit out of your expensive vintage blouse.
‘Beer?’ he asked curiously, causing you to nod.
‘Fuck. I am in for an interesting evening then’ Cillian said somewhat irritated, causing you to laugh out loud.
‘So am I because I meant to see my sister and her husband for dinner at 7 o’clock and I smell like puke now’ you giggled, seeing the humour in all of this.
‘Have a shower here. I will get you a clean t-shirt’ Cillian suggested and you accepted his offer gratefully.
A minute later, Cillian gave you a towel and one of his black t-shirts. You closed the bathroom door behind you and got undressed.
When you stepped into the shower, you were slightly confused by all of the buttons. You never saw anything quite like this. You pressed one of the buttons and nothing happened. Then you pressed the next and, finally, water came rushing out from the top like waterfall but, it was cold.
‘Dammit’ you said loudly as the cold water came rushing down over your body, barely managing to wash away the little bit of soap you had placed on your chest and breasts earlier.
‘Having problems with the shower?’ Cillian asked from outside the bathroom door a few seconds after he heard you yell.
‘There is no hot water’ you said as you stepped out of the shower, wrapped the towel around you and opened the door.
Cillian stepped inside, gazing over your semi naked body for a second or two, before turning on the shower for you.
‘Wow, that’s high tech’ you giggled as you stood right next to Cillian, his body awfully close to yours.
‘Isn’t that usually how you young people roll?’ Cillian chuckled, causing you to give him a slight nudge and, in the process of it, loosing hold of your towel on one side.
Cillian noticed immediately and his jaw dropped as he drew a deep breath.
‘Cillian?’ you whispered as you noticed him looking at the ceiling, purposely trying to avoid eye contact with you.
‘Yeah’ he said with a low voice as he looked back at you but, instead of saying anything else to him, you pressed your lips onto his tentatively.
Cillian gave into the kiss and parted your lips with his slightly, allowing him to slip his tongue into your mouth in order to meet yours.
Your hands reached for his cheeks and the back of his head while your towel dropped to the floor.
‘We shouldn’t be doing this Y/N’ Cillian whispered as your lips drifted apart after what seemed like an eternity.
‘No, we shouldn’t’ you responded despite the fact that you wanted him, right then and there.
But, his lips landed on yours again almost instantly, ignoring the interfering thoughts in your heads.
As you were kissing, Cillian’s hand wandered over the back of your body and then in between you, immediately finding your wet mound.
You let out a low moan as his fingers began to gently massage your clit before one of his fingers dipped inside of you momentarily.
On your left upper thigh, you could feel his erection press against you, restricted by his tight and ripped jeans.
You pushed your mound against his hand as much as you could while he swallowed up your moans, continuing to kiss you passionately.
But, as he began to apply more pressure against your clit, you had to pull away from his mouth and moan escaped you.
His speed increased and you let your head fall forward against his chest and shoulder, taking in the scent of his aftershave and moaning into the thin black cotton of his t-shirt.
Your legs began to quiver within minutes and his magical fingers on your clit brought you over the edge fairly quickly.
You held onto Cillian, continuing to moan against his chest as your orgasm washed over you and he finally slowed down his movements.
‘Fuck’ you whispered as Cillian chuckled at the fact that he just made you cum within less than five minutes.
‘You should have a shower now or you’ll be late for dinner’ Cillian winked before pressing his lips onto yours again.
‘What about you?’ you asked quietly as you ran your hand over his crotch.
‘I better check on Amanda’ he said somewhat reluctantly before leaving you by yourself in the bathroom.
After a quick shower, you got dressed and returned to the living room where Cillian was sitting, watching a documentary.
When you approached him to give him a kiss, he pulled away.
‘We cannot keep doing this Y/N’ Cillian said quietly and it was obvious to you that he had been doing a lot of thinking while you were in the shower.
‘You are right’ you murmured, upset by his response.
‘Are we okay?’ he asked and you nodded.
‘Thanks for the shower’ you said a little upset before grabbing your keys and phone and returning to your car.
***Family***
Later that evening, at dinner with your sister and her husband, your sister asked you about your music projects and, of course, your love life.
She knew that you had separated from Kurt and, even though you called it a break, it was obvious to her and anyone from your family that this was final.
She was glad that it was over. Finally, you were free from him.
When she asked you if there was anyone else, you couldn’t help it but tell her about Cillian. But you didn’t tell her his name, nor did you tell her how you had met.
All that you told her was that there was a man who you had slept with and who you think you might like and this was the first time that you admitted your feelings for Cillian to yourself as well.
It felt strange to you as, initially, when you met Cillian, you couldn’t stand him but now that you got to know each other more intimately, this changed.
When you told your sister that he was 43, making him exactly twenty years older than you, her jaw dropped.
‘Forget about him Y/N. Honestly’ she told you, thinking that he was too old for you and the press would rip you to pieces about it, just as it happened with your ex-girlfriend which emotionally destroyed you at the time.
‘I’ve grown since then, emotionally and mentally and I cannot help it. His presence does something to me and, currently, I work with him all the time’ you said with a deep sigh.
‘Is he a musician?’ your sister asked curiously and you shook your head.
‘He’s an actor’ you admitted but went no further than that regardless of how much your sister was poking around, asking you for his name.
‘It doesn’t matter because it isn’t going anywhere with us and you are right, it’s probably better that way’ you said when she asked you for his name for the third time.
Your sister gave up eventually and, after several glasses of wine, you decided to stay at her house for the night before a big day at the studio finalising the schedule for the music festival.
The next morning, when you tried to start your car, the engine had stopped working. It was a brand-new car and you were extremely irritated and contacted the car dealer immediately.
The car dealer advised you that they couldn’t get the car in for repair until Monday and your sister luckily offered to drive you into Dublin city.
‘Do you have time for a coffee?’ she asked as she pulled up in front of the studio and nodded. You still had twenty minutes before your meeting with Cillian and Kurt.
You sat down at a booth table in the small café beneath the theatre and the waitress was quick to take your order and bring you some water.
‘The coffee here is really good’ you said to your sister but she seemed somewhat distant and unresponsive.
‘June? Are you with me?’ you chuckled and, suddenly she looked at you with wide open eyes and whispered ‘Cillian Murphy’.
‘What about him?’ you asked absolutely flustered.
‘Over there, at the counter’ your sister then whispered with excitement, causing you to take in a deep breath. He wasn’t the person who you wanted to see right at this moment, especially after what you told your sister last night.
‘He is my cheat pass’ your sister then said, causing you to inadvertently spit out some of the water in your mouth.
‘You are joking?’ you asked, causing your sister to shake her head and continue to stare at him.
‘I am going to say hello’ she said determined and you took her hand quickly and responded ‘no you are not’ which was when Cillian noticed you and walked over towards your table.
‘Morning Y/N’ he said with a smile before giving you a friendly kiss on the cheek.
‘Hi Cilly’ you said before introducing him to your sister with some embarrassment.
Your sister was quick to move to one side, indicating for Cillian to sit down next to her and he didn’t think anything of it and joined you both for coffees and a snack to eat.
The three of you engaged in some small talk and Cillian informed you that Kurt had called him earlier that day telling him that he was sick and wouldn’t be coming in.
You were glad about it in a way but it also meant that it was just you and Cillian working on the schedule which might be a problem after last night.
After you drank your coffees and engaged in some more conversation, each of you went your separate ways. Cillian and you had a days’ work ahead of you and your sister had to get back home.
A few minutes after you left the café, you got a test message from your sister. ‘Fuck he’s hot. Can you invite him for drinks with me or something’ it said and you couldn’t help but chuckle.
‘What’s so funny?’ Cillian asked as he observed your facial expressions and small giggles.
‘Nothing’ you responded before putting your phone away, ignoring your sister’s text message.
***Working Together***
The day went by quickly and you managed to be quite productive, finishing the schedule for the festival by 4 o’clock. There was no arguing anymore between you and Cillian and, with Kurt not being there, there was also no shouting.
As you were working together, you and Cillian kept your distance from each other, trying as hard as you could to stay focused and professional.
You sent the schedule off to Kurt for consideration and communication to the artists and Cillian offered you to drive you home after you told him about your car.
You agreed reluctantly as it was raining but all of your focus and professionalism went out of the window as soon as Cillian pulled up in front of your apartment.
‘Uhm, would you like to come up for a drink?’ you asked, knowing exactly that you shouldn’t have asked him that after last night.
‘I shouldn’t’ Cillian responded reluctantly. He knew he couldn’t get involved with you again. Another relationship was not what he wanted, especially not with someone as young as you.
‘I know, I shouldn’t have asked that. It’s fine. Thank you for driving me home. Have a good night’ you said before giving him a friendly kiss on his cheek before getting out of his car.
As you reached the front door of your apartment building and searched through your bag for the key, you heard the door of Cillian’s car close.
You looked back and saw Cillian approach you with a hesitant smile.
‘Changed your mind?’ you smirked as he walked up the pathway leading to the front door of your apartment block.
‘Yeah, I suppose’ Cillian smiled with his hands in his pockets like a shy schoolboy while he was waiting for you to open the door.
You finally found your key and you both took the elevator up to your apartment, keeping your distance from each other.
You opened the door to your apartment and Cillian followed you inside almost shyly, remaining standing in the doorway and asking ‘before I do anything stupid, it isn’t really a drink that you are after, right?’
‘No. In fact, all I’ve got is tap water’ you said almost embarrassed and, just after you did, you found yourself pinned against the wall and Cillian crashed his lips onto yours in a haste.
You parted your lips slightly, allowing his tongue to enter your mouth and explore yours in a passionate kiss.
With one foot, you pushed your apartment door closed behind you before you gave into the Cillian completely.
‘Not fire safety compliant’ Cillian murmured as your lips drifted apart, causing you to look at him with some confusion.
‘The door. It’s opening into the wrong direction’ Cillian chuckled, causing you to raise your eyebrows and start to laugh.
‘You are weird’ you chuckled before you pressed your lips back onto his, thinking why on earth he would have noticed this in the heat of the moment.
‘Coming from the woman with a Harry Potter tattoo beneath her left breast’ Cillian chuckled after your lips drifted apart again momentarily and he began to unbutton your mustard-coloured vintage shirt.
‘What can I say…I am magic’ you chuckled before you pulled him closer again for another kiss.
Each and every kiss was passionate and urgent, full of desire for each other.
‘Didn’t we say we wouldn’t do this again?’ you asked as your shirt landed on the floor.
‘You are the one who initiated it by asking me upstairs for a glass of tap water’ Cillian chuckled. ‘Do you want to stop?’ he then asked, causing you to shake your head and pull his t-shirt over his head exposing his bare chest.
‘Didn’t think so’ Cillian smirked before he trailed kisses over your breasts, which were still covered by a black lace bra, and then all the way down to your stomach. He dropped to his knees slowly while his lips explored your body and his hands began to fondle with the button and zipper of your jeans, pushing them down gently.
You let out a soft moan as his hands ran over the front of your treasure. His face was awfully close to your most intimate area and you could feel his hot breath on your wet mound, fanning through the lace of your panties.
With your jeans stuck over your ankles, Cillian pushed your legs apart with his hands as wide as he could.
‘Don’t move’ he instructed, causing you to take in a sharp inhale and, just as you did, he hooked the index fingers of both of his hands into the hem of your panties and pulled them down all the way to your ankles.
You wanted to push your legs together, feeling vulnerable now that he got such a close look at your wet mound. But, Cillian’s hands wouldn’t allow as he held your thighs in place while pushing you all the way back at the freshly painted wall of your apartment.
Cillian then moved to your inner thighs and his soft, wet tongue administered little licks, alternating with kisses, as he moved back and forth between your left and right thigh, ascending higher and higher as he did.
‘Hmm….fuck’ you moaned in anticipation, causing Cillian to smile against the flesh of your right thigh before looking up at you for a brief moment, his blue eyes meeting yours.
You bit your lip suggestively and then watched as that pink, wet, soft tongue of his slid out of his mouth in a flattened state and land on the right outer lip of your wet mound.
A loud moan escaped you as soon as his tongue moved closer towards your centre, giving your slit a very long, very slow, torturous lick.
You placed your hands on his head and ran your fingers through his hair as his tongue licked up and down before sinking it into your entrance once slightly, making you squirm.
‘Hold still’ he instructed as he pushed your thighs apart again with his hands.
With both outer lips equally swollen, you watched as he made his tongue pointed again, spreads your swollen outer lips and then licks both of your inner lips from back to front at the same time, sending shivers down your spine. He then ran his tongue over your clit hood and gently pulled the hood back, revealing your swollen, throbbing, pulsing clit.
‘Cillian, fuck’ you moaned as he continued to lick you. He took his time, slowly licking all of the surfaces of your clit.
Unlike most men you've been with, he knew what he was doing and you soon began to shudder and shake as he covered this territory.
After as little as ten minutes, you could feel yourself getting close to your high.
‘Cillian, don’t fucking stop’ you moaned as your hands held onto his head firmly as he continued to suck on your clit gently.
Your orgasm washed over you almost instantly and you lost all of your self-control while Cillian kept pushing your legs apart with his hands and stimulating your clit with his mouth.
Your legs wanted to give way shortly after you came down from your high and Cillian got off his knees quickly before pressing his lips onto yours in a haste, wanting you to taste your own juices that had pooled across his lips.
You moaned into his mouth while your hand reached between the both of you, running over his erection which was trapped beneath his tight jeans.
‘I am not done yet’ Cillian said as he moved your hand away from his crotch and pinned you back against the wall, kissing you again passionately.
While he was kissing you, he ran his hand over your wet mound, collecting your wet juices with his fingers before bring his finger up to your mouth.
You took his fingers into your mouth, licking them suggestively until he pulls them away from your mouth again.
Without words, his blue eyes starred into yours, full of want and desire and, without you noticing, his hand returned back in between your legs where he now, effortlessly, slid both of his fingers into your warmth.
You let out a loud moan, while Cillian looked at you, taking in your facial expressions. His lips were parted slightly as he observed your moans and you leaned forward to kiss him, but he wouldn’t allow it.
Within a few seconds, he found the magic spot inside of you and proceeded to tease it with his fingertips.
‘Holy Fucking Christ’ you screamed in shock. No one, not even yourself, had found this spot before and your legs were ready to give in right then and there.
‘Oh my god, stop…I mean don’t stop. Fuck, this is intense’ you said with laboured breathing as you starred at Cillian who responded with a satisfied grin.
‘Just relax and let go’ Cillian said before he pressed his lips back onto yours.
The pressure he used was gentle at first until he could feel you relax, which is when he increased his movements. You were already wet but, when his fingers massaged your g-spot, you began dripping on to the dark wooden floor.
‘Cillian, fuck fuck fuck, oh god’ you moaned as you felt a sensation you never felt run through your body. It was more intense than anything else you had ever experienced and, without being able to control yourself, you screamed loudly as your walls began to tighten around his fingers.
‘That’s it baby’ Cillian said as he watched your eyes close shut and listened to your loud moans while another orgasm washed over you.
As he did, he could feel a gush of wetness run over his hand and down to the floor, But you didn’t notice, you were in a trance, your legs were shaking by that point and you were entirely consumed by the most intense orgasm you ever had.
As you came down from your high, the wall behind you preventing you from collapsing to the floor, you looked at Cillian in disbelieve before noticing the puddle of clear liquid that had formed on the floor.
Cillian grinned, his tongue running over his lips suggestively as he watched your embarrassment.
‘Oh my god, what the fuck. This never happened before’ you said somewhat embarrassed when you noticed the puddle.
‘I am good then’ Cillian said before he pressed his lips back onto yours and wiped his hand on his jeans.
‘I am so sorry’ you said as your lips drifted apart, your mind filled with embarrassment about the mess you just made.
‘For this? Don’t be ridiculous’ Cillian said before kissing you again. ‘In fact, I think it’s sexy’ he added after your lips drifted apart.
‘Would you like to break in my new bed?’ you smirked as you took off the remainder of your clothes and indicating to Cillian to follow you.
‘It would be my pleasure’ Cillian smirked before he quickly kicked off his shoes and picked you up, remembering the location well from the last time he visited you.
As he held you against him and walked, you could feel his hardness pressing into you through his jeans and throbbing against your wet and naked mound.
He carried you to your bed and, with one swift movement, you found yourself with your back on the mattress.
As he took off his jeans and briefs all at the same time, Cillian couldn’t help but stare at your naked beauty, right there in front of him.
You could see his body respond as his hard member twitched and a few drops of precum escaped and fell to your bedroom floor.
You didn’t have to wait long for him to join you on the bed, hoovering over you and planting kisses over your body before meeting your lips again.
Then your lips were sucking and nibbling on his as he pulled away after each kiss, teasing you and occasionally your tongues would meet and fight each other.
No one ever kissed you quite like he did. It was intense and full of desire. Each kiss was different, new and exciting.
After your lips drifted apart again and while Cillian once more tried to take control, directing you to the position he wanted you in, you pushed him beneath you instead, catching him by surprise.
‘Do you have condoms?’ you asked as he was lying beneath you, thinking that you should have thought about this much earlier.
‘What happened to the ones from last time?’ Cillian asked as his hands continued to trail over your body, paying particular attention to your breasts.
‘They are in Kurt’s desk which is now in Kurt’s office’ you said, causing Cillian to laugh.
‘I can get dressed and walk to the shop. It isn’t far’ Cillian suggested before letting out a deep sigh knowing that his erection would defiantly not come down if he had to walk to the shops.
‘I am on birth control and, after Kurt, I just had all of my check-ups done’ you said, causing Cillian to nod in agreement before trying to take charge once again. But you wouldn’t budge and held him down against the bed playfully.
‘You really don’t like to give up control, do you?’ you grinned, causing Cillian to respond with a quiet chuckle.
‘No, but I am willing to try if you manage to tame me’ he winked jokingly before trying to pull you closer for another kiss.
‘I think I might just have the right thing for you Mr Murphy’ you grinned as you pulled away and reached for your bedside table.
From your bedside table, you pulled out a pair of leather handcuffs and held them up suggestively.
‘Do I get to use them on you some time?’ Cillian chuckled before he willingly put his hands above his head, ready for you to tie him against the metal frame of your bedhead.
‘Maybe’ you smirked as you secured the cuffs against his wrists and the bedhead, leaving him completely at your mercy.
By this time, the windows of your bedroom had become foggy, with precipitation running down the inside of them and the room was starting to smell like two people in heat, lust filling the air.
With Cillian’s wrists tied to the bedhead, you were now the one who hoovered over Cillian, planting kisses over him and rubbing your wet folds over his upper thighs suggestively. Random drops of his precum were caught by your skin and you got intermittent glimpses of his cock, still rigid this whole time.
He hated and loved the way you were teasing him all at the same time until, finally, you made your descent over his perfectly shaped chest and stomach and all the way down towards his hard member.
Cillian inhaled sharply as he watched you lick his precum of his cockhead, using your tongue only.
He pulled on his restraints, desperate for you to take his rigid member into your mouth as you continued to tease him with only small licks.
‘Patience’ you whispered before, finally, you took all of him deep into your mouth, making him groan loudly as he bottomed out in your throat.
Whilst your hands paid attention to his balls, you began to bob your head up and down before taking his hard shaft into one of your hands and licking around his tip only.
After about ten minutes, Cillian’s breathing soon became laboured and you knew that he was getting close as you could feel his cock pulsate inside your mouth.
‘Fuck Y/N’ he moaned until, eventually, your motions came to a halt and you shifted your body back up towards his until your lips met his once again.
While you exchanged a passionate kiss, you swung one leg over Cillian’s waist and reached between you, holding his hard shaft and carefully guiding it inside you.
‘Jesus’ was all that escaped him after your lips drifted apart and you lowered yourself onto him, taking inch by inch of his cock inside of you until you sat flush against him.
‘Hmm yes’ you moaned as you could feel all of him inside of you, stretching you and filling you completely.
‘Fuck you feel good’ Cillian moaned, trying to pull against his restraints in order to touch you. But his efforts were futile.
His warm cock felt amazing inside you and, once you adjusted to his size, you began to move, up and down, backwards and forwards.
You flicked your head back, riding him fast and hard. His breath was laboured and it was obvious to you that he was enjoying it, no longer trying to get out of his restraints.
‘God damn Y/N’ Cillian groaned as he watched your breasts bounce slightly up and down with every movement and it wasn’t long until your fingernails dug down into his chest, leaving some visible marks.
‘Come inside me’ you moaned, turned on by the thought of it and this was all he needed to hear in order to let go completely.
‘I am so fucking close’ you moaned and Cillian groaned in sync with you as he tried to thrust back up into you despite the restraints.
‘Fuck Y/N’ he moaned again, his cock beginning to throb inside of you and, just as he groaned once last time, you screamed his name as your third orgasm washed over you.
Cillian and you came together, in sync, and your walls contracted just as he filled you with his warm cum.
After you rode out your orgasm, you slowly uncuffed him before lifting your body up slowly, allowing his cock to slide out of you.
You could feel his cum leak from your core and down your thigh as you got up.
‘Oh wow’ you grinned sheepishly as you noticed the large amount of cum on your core and thigh.
‘Yeah sorry, it’s been like a week’ Cillian chuckled but you didn’t mind at all and collected some of it with your finger. You brought your finger to your mouth, licking it suggestively.
Your actions caused Cillian to raise his eyebrows and stare at you in disbelieve.
‘Well, I wanted to see what you taste like’ you smirked before you collapsed next to him.
You curled up against Cillian’s chest while he wrapped his arms around you, his fingers gently tracing over your back.
You pulled the sheets over you, feeling the cold air passing through the room, the heat of Cillian’s naked body radiating to yours.
‘I don’t really want to get up’ Cillian said, half covered by your sheets, starring at you with his deep blue eyes.
‘Then don’t. Stay here tonight’ you smiled before pulling him close for another kiss.
‘It’s only 8 o’clock Y/N. I probably should go’ Cillian said, causing you to pout.
‘I could order some chinese and a bottle of wine…we can watch a movie and then we can fuck again’ you suggested, causing Cillian to laugh.
‘I didn’t think that you could handle any more’ Cillian chuckled as he could see the exhaustion on your face.
‘Oh trust me, I can’ you said.
Cillian reluctantly agreed and you got up from beneath the sheets to get your phone to place the order.
Luckily, your apartment was a loft style studio penthouse and your large bed was in the middle of the large room, right in front of your flat screen TV.
‘What do you want to watch?’ Cillian asked as he flicked through the movies on Netflix and you finally agreed on a scary movie you had heard about from your sister.
But, neither of you paid much attention to the rather horrible movie. You enjoyed your chinese food and wine and joked, talked about almost anything and everything until, finally, the credits came on.
‘That was terrible’ Cillian laughed and you agreed and apologised for your choice of movie.
‘At least the main actor was hot’ you giggled as you got up and placed the chine food containers into the bin in your kitchen area.
‘Do you want me to introduce you?’ Cillian chuckled.
‘Nah, I don’t get involved with actors’ you said as you sneaked back under the covers. You were both still completely naked, covered by the doona.
‘Is that right?’ Cillian laughed before his lips crashed back onto yours and you quickly found yourself beneath him.
‘I can’t believe you can actually go again’ you said delighted as you could feel his hard member poke against your upper thigh, causing Cillian to chuckle.
‘Well, I am in bed with a very sexy woman…one who doesn’t get involved with actors apparenty….so maybe I should leave’ Cillian joked as he ran his hand through your hair gently.
‘I will make an exception for you’ you smirked just before Cillian got up from the bed and walked to your bathroom ensuite.
Seconds later, he returned with a large white towel and placed it onto the bed, causing you to look at him with surprise.
But, before you could put any more thought to it, he kneeled on the bed and took your legs, putting them over his shoulders.
‘Uhm…’ you said, somewhat surprised by his choice of position and, before you could say anything else, he interlaces your fingers with his and you felt the head of his cock rest against your entrance.
Cillian shifted his hips back and forth, running the length of his shaft and head over your wet folds and then pushed the head into your already soaking entrance.
You take a deep, shuddering breath as you felt his swollen cockhead push your lips aside and stretch you.
Your walls relaxed while you felt even more wetness flowing from you as Cillian gently pressed forward and you could feel your walls stretch around him once again.
Cillian leaned forward, bending at the waist while he entered you slowly and fully until he bottomed out inside of you and there it was again, this unfamiliar feeling.
You let out a loud moan as you could feel the tip of his cock press against your g-spot which was when you began to realise why he chose this position and why had placed a towel beneath you.
‘You are so fucking beautiful’ he whispered while you watched as he started to pull out again almost all the way before pushing back in and pausing when his cockhead hits your g-spot again.
‘Cillian, oh god’ you moaned as, with some subtle movements of his hips, he rubbed the head against your g-spot, making your fingers and toes curl.
Then he pulled out again almost all the way as he waited a few seconds for you to swell tighter. During that time, he ran his fingertips up and down your thighs and gave you grin before he started thrusting back into you again. He was slow and gentle, similar to when he his fingers first stimulated your sweet spot.
Once Cillian felt you relax completely and give in to the sensation of being penetrated this way, his thrusts became more forceful and fast.
The temperature of your apartment had increased significantly as sweat starts pouring down your bodies. Your juices once again started dripping from you and down his shaft. Your wetness was pooling underneath you two.
Cillian watched your toned stomach muscles flex as you cannot stay still as he reached down to rub your clit in circles, clockwise and counterclockwise while continuing his thrusting. Your breathing, which had started to become irregular, was now erratic. He smiled and enjoyed watching your breasts jiggle everywhere as you squirmed, trying to hold still.
Most of your body has now become a little numb, and as you felt him pulse and throb deep inside you and hear him moving in and out of your wetness, your eyes start glazing over a bit and rolling back into your head.
And then the intense feeling started again, at the top of your head. You couldn’t completely explain it and it was the most calm, relaxing feeling but with an undercurrent of tension that just gradually builds as that feeling flows over your face, neck, breasts, stomach, arms, and legs. When the feeling hit between your legs, your walls clamped down as hard as they could on his thick shaft.
‘Cillian, fuck…please don’t stop’ you moaned and with a loud cry, your body began to shiver, quiver, shake, bend, shudder, and contort as a multiwave orgasm rolled through you. Each wave feeling like a lightning bolt from head to toe as your tension lessened with each episode. Cillian pinned you down as you could not possibly stay still as he watched you writhe in ecstasy.
You almost blacked out as your whole body couldn’t stop coming. Just like the last time when Cillian massaged your g-spot, the pool of juices beneath you had quickly become a puddle and you could soon feel his balls swell up against your mound.
When your walls tightened around him, you could feel his cum rising within his shaft just before, with one loud groan, he filled you again with his warm seed.
Small tears fell from your eyes as you finally came down from your high and Cillian carefully pulled out of you, allowing you to rest your legs on the mattress.
‘Fuck Y/N, are you alright? I didn’t hurt you, did I?’ Cillian asked as soon as he noticed your teary eyes and flushed face.
‘No, it was just…’ you said as you took a deep breath before continuing your sentence. ‘It was very fucking intense’ you said, your breath heavy.
‘In a good way I hope’ Cillian chuckled before pressing his lips onto yours.
‘In the best way’ you giggled before you curled up against him.
After several gentle kisses and your hands roaming each other’s bodies, you eventually both drifted off to sleep.
***The Watch***
The following morning, you were both woken up by Cillian’s phone ringing at 8 o’clock. It was Kurt and he was persistent after Cillian didn’t pick up the first time.
Half asleep, with your head still resting on his chest, he answered the phone and talked to him.
‘Hey Kurt, what’s up?’ Cillian asked as he was waking up slowly while you began to trace your fingers over Cillian’s chest, playing with the little bit of chest hair.
‘I got the schedule last night and wondered whether you want to talk about it’ Kurt said politely just as Cillian wiggled around, stretching himself while you planted small kisses over his chest and down towards your stomach.
‘Uhm, talk…yes’ Cillian said as he raised an eyebrow when he noticed that you disappeared beneath the doona, your hands running over his upper thighs.
‘Could you come to my office in an hour?’ Kurt asked as Cillian took in a deep breath as your hands ran over his hardening cock.
‘Fuck’ was all that escaped him as he suddenly felt your warm lips wrapped around his base and he instantly went completely hard in your mouth.
‘Cillian?’ Kurt asked surprised by Cillian’s response.
‘Yes…fuck…sorry…9 o’clock?’ Cillian asked as he tried hard not to moan while you began to bob your head up and down, occasionally twirling your tongue over his head.
‘Yeah, if that’s alright?’ Kurt asked again, somewhat concerned by Cillian’s strange responses.
‘Yeah…’ Cillian responded before holding his breath, a deep groan stuck in his throat.
‘Can you call Y/N? She is being a fucking cunt not picking up my calls even though we need to work together on this’ Kurt complained.
‘Mhhm…’ Cillian said, pretending to listen to what Kurt was saying while you swallowed his length whole, moving your head up and down over and over again.
‘I actually think she is seeing someone’ Kurt went on to say as you ran your tongue piercing up and down Cillian’s shaft.
‘Aha’ Cillian responded trying to hold back his release, so close to coming.
‘I have to go man’ Cillian barely managed to say as your hands wrapped around his tight balls.
‘See you soon’ Kurt said before hanging up and just as he did a loud groan fell from Cillian’s lip.
‘Fuck Y/N’ he moaned just as his shaft pulsated heavily and he filled your mouth with his warm and sweet cum.
You looked up from beneath the doona, opening your mouth slightly and suggestively before swallowing all of it with a grin.
‘So, what did my ex want?’ you asked sheepishly, causing Cillian to chuckle.
‘You are so fucking bad’ he laughed before pulling you close for a kiss and telling you about the meeting.
‘You didn’t last very long despite your conversation with Kurt’ you giggled as you jumped up, walking towards the shower.
‘What can I say, blow jobs are my weakness especially coming from someone so talented’ Cillian smirked before he grabbed you from behind, kissing your neck and following you to the shower.
‘But, that’s not to say that we can’t keep going in the shower’ he grinned and so you went, spending twenties minutes making love while streams of hot water ran over your bodies.
After you came out of the shower and starred into the mirror you noticed that both, Cillian and you, were covered with small little bruises, scratches and bite marks.
You never quite had a night like this with anyone before and you weren’t ashamed. Nonetheless, you opted for a turtle neck jumper and some tight jeans.
Cillian had no choice but to wear the clothes he wore the night before, including the pair of jeans which had some obvious stains.
‘Sorry’ you chuckled as you noticed the stains.
‘Don’t worry. I’ll throw them in the wash and they’ll be grand’ he chuckled before you both walked to his car.
Ten minutes later, you arrived at Kurt’s office together and you felt the need to explain to him that your car broke down and Cillian was kind enough to offer to pick you up.
Kurt wasn’t suspicious by the fact that you arrived together, nor was he suspicious about the little bruises on Cillian’s neck. It was something else that, during your meeting with him, caught his attention and this was Cillian’s watch. It looked awfully familiar.
An hour into your meeting, rewriting half of the schedule because of Kurt being difficult and Cillian continuing to argue with him, Amanda and Jeremy arrived as well to finalise the advertising campaign for the music part of the festival.
Immediately, as soon as Amanda walked into Kurt’s office, she pulled Cillian aside.
‘Where the fuck were you last night?’ she asked quietly but everyone heard it, causing Jeremy to laugh.
‘I don’t think I have to answer that Amanda’ Cillian responded with some irritation before taking the paper schedule off Kurt and walking to the utilities room. Of course, she noticed the small bruises on his neck. It was obvious to her that he’s been with another woman.
You and Jeremy followed Cillian knowing very well that, the last time he tried to use the copier in the utilities room, he almost broke it and one of the administration assistants had banned him from ever touching it again.
As you were gone, Kurt had time to speak to Amanda in private.
‘I think I have an idea as to where Cillian may have been last night’ he chuckled, catching Amanda’s interest.

QUESTION FOR THE DAY: WHAT KIND OF PERSON IS YOUR TYPE?
While staring away from the person asking this question, Maki had somewhat of a straight face while the weapon she was carrying was casually leaning against her shoulder, as if the heavyweight didn’t bother her one single bit.
“Someone who’s stronger than me, at the very least,” Maki replied with a blunt tone as if trying to tell her person that she wasn’t in the mood or that the question they had just asked was really stupid.
Meanwhile with her twin, Zenin Mai…
“Huh? What makes you think I’ll answer?” Mai questioned with an irritated tone that matched the expression on her telling, expressing her annoyance at such questions since there was no way she was going to share her personal preference with someone she has never met before.
While outside the Jujutsu Tech school building, Kugisaki was outside with a pout on her face as she answered the same question in a strange way than the other two had.
“I totally can’t stand a UBSSD,” Kugisaki answered in a tone that seemed to be a mix of determination as well as annoyance, as the thought of her unidealistic type began to plague her mind.
U - Useless
B - Broke
S - Smelly
S - Stingy
D - Dead
While her opponent during the Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event seemed to be engaged with her phone as droll began to slowly escape from the corner of her lips, as she continuously admires her phone like something on the screen was dearly precious to her - to which seemed like there was an image of a famous actor that she was a fan of.
“Do you know who Sebastian Stan is?” Nishimiya asked in a dreamy tone before letting out a cute giggle as her eyes were still permanently on the image on what now had been identified as Sebastian Stan’s Instagram. “He has a great body,” Noshmiya then commented, as her eyes turned from adoration to slight hunger.
While her second-year junior~
“Well, you know, I like hot guys, like most girls, but I want someone fun to be around, too,” Miwa stuttered with pale pink hues appearing on her face causing you, who was standing next to her, to look at your senior with a weird expression since you can somewhat tell who she was describing at this current moment in time.
‘Isn’t that somewhat Gojo-sensei?’
“And it’s important whether or not he can make you feel like he’s the only one for you,” she then mentioned cheerfully as if she was going to achieve something, leading to your weirded out face to soften slightly since she looked extremely adorable right now. “Oh, gosh, how embarrassing!” Miwa stated, as she suddenly realised that she had rambled her answer while waving her hand to brush off the slight embarrassment she was expressing.
Meanwhile~
                                          ꕥ
Inside one of the rooms within the Jujutsu Tech school, Gojo and Utahime were having a discussion together, where the conversation had landed on the topic of Gojo struggling to remember the name of the person he had taken a picture with.
“Uh, you know, uh, um….wh-what was it?” Gojo staggered as he had his hand over his eyes as if he would just pluck out the answer from the back of his mind in thin air.
“Um, um, um...you know, that girl who seemed nice. The one who seemed nice with the notable bangs,” Gojo described as he turned to his college for the answer. “Come on, come on, you know! That one girl!” Gojo encouraged, as he wanted to know the answer as soon as possible since it was on the tip of his tongue and the feeling of knowing and not knowing was becoming agonising.
Looking down to the floor, Utahime started to recall all the female students that were in both Tokyo and Kyoto Metropolitan Curse Technical College since she was trying to find the person that identified with the limited description that Gojo had given her.
“Nice girl, nice girl, nice girl…” Utahime repeated in a muttered tone as if that description was difficult to pinpoint to anybody that was a ‘nice girl’ - which was…
Even though Maki had slight bangs herself, there was no way she was willingly going to take a picture with Gojo. X
Her twin Mai was already out of the question. X
Kugisaki….no way…X
Nishimiya didn’t have bangs at all and already had a celebrity crush on Sebastian Stan...so she was out. X
Miwa though…O
Looking up at her annoying junior college, she had finally discovered the answer she and him were probably looking for. “Oh. Miwa?” Utahime asked, trying to confirm her suspicion leading to Gojo looking at her realisation on his face as he clearly confirmed that Miwa was the girl that took a photo with him after his sudden meeting with the Kyoto Tech’s principle: Gakuganji.
“Yeah! Her, her, her, her, her!” Gojo exclaimed as he waved his right index finger in the air to emphasise his clarification.
                                               ꕥ
“What about you Y/N? What kind of person is your type?” Miwa unexpectedly asked in a bright tone, as she turned to you, causing you to look at her with widened eyes since you were surprised at the sudden question.
Looking up in the sky, you were acting like you would just grab the air particles and your answer would appear in the palm of your hands.
However, before you could look down and give your answer to your new-found friend from the opposition school, you suddenly heard two people start talking leading to your eyes to follow the sound to find your two classmates, Itadori Yuji and Fushiguro Megumi talking to each other.
Quickly turning back to Miwa, you slowly lifted your hand before using your index finger to point at the erratic-hair sorcerer, who was currently distracted by having a conversation with your other friend.
“He’s my type,” you casually answered, leading Miwa and the person who asked the question to turn and look at who you were pointing at to find out it was Fushiguro.
“Your taste is quite simple Y/N,” Miwa commented, as she peered at Fushiguro before turning to look at you only to find that you weren’t even looking at your crush but rather that the nature scene right in front of you with pending pale pink hues appearing on your cheeks to avoid looking at the person you had feelings for.
“What are you looking at?” Fushiguro questioned in confusion, as he turned around after feeling a few pairs of eyes looking at him while Itadori peered at you and Miwa in confusion since you were still pointing at him.
‘He doesn’t need to know yet…’

Note
Hi!!!, first, congratulations on 1000 followers!I wanted to ask you something, could you make a list of omegas that would have worse self esteem during pregnancy.if you can't don't worry, have a nice day and again congratulations.
(Hey, thank you so much for your congratulations!! Hmm, I’m sure I can make a little list~)
Warnings: Insecurities of all sorts, mentions of sex.
Insecure over appearance:
· Itachi – Itachi is worried about how skinny and sickly he is. He’s always been on the small side but pregnancy has stopped him being able to keep much food down, and so he just kept getting smaller and smaller. It’s a small insecurity at first, but he does find himself staring at his reflection and wondering if his mate finds him attractive. Itachi goes a long while without sex because of how sick he gets during pregnancy and after birth, and that feeds the insecurity that his alpha doesn’t find him attractive.
· Tamaki – He’s completely fine until he gets lost in a rabbit hole on some parenting and omega focused forums. He finds all these posts from other omegas about how their alphas don’t find them attractive anymore, and about how they’ve stopped having sex. Now, Tamaki is extremely sexually needy during his pregnancy, so he’s suddenly paralysed with fear. Has his alpha been forcing themselves this whole time? Have they just been doing it to please him without enjoying it themselves? He cries about it quite a bit until his alpha finds out and knocks a little bit of sense into him.
· Asmo – Asmo puts so much effort into his physical appearance. He’s very proud of it and he’s very reliant on his appearance to carry his self-esteem. So, a drastic change of any sort would be extremely distressing. He buys every cream and treatment imaginable to stop stretch marks, and acne etc. but things still change with his body. And because Asmo views his worth through looks, he assumes that his alpha does also. He tries to hide, to turn down sex, but of course, this alerts his alpha immediately to the fact that something is wrong. He never really gets over the insecurities while he’s still pregnant, but his alpha can minimise the effects with copious love and praise.
· Julian – He’s extremely insecure as it is, constantly questioning why his alpha finds him attractive at all but being pregnant adds enough layer on to the pre-existing insecurities. He always tries to reassure his alpha that they don’t have to touch him if they don’t want, that they should leave the room before he gets changed or when he’s bathing because they probably don’t want to see him like that. His insecurities run very deeply, just like Asmo’s, so they can’t be fixed, but they can be helped with lots of comfort and reassurance.
Insecure over abilities (e.g., being weak physically etc.):
· Sasuke – The fact that he can’t go on missions or train pisses him off. And as the months go by, he’s gaining weight and losing muscle definition and it freaks him out because he feels like he’s losing who he is which drops his self-esteem. Training has been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. Just design some softer workout routines for him with a mednin and remind him that he can still practice throwing kunai before he loses his goddamn mind.
· Bakugou – The physical condition of his body changing isn’t that big of a deal for him. He has a very small tummy, especially considering he’s pregnant with twins, and he knows he can bounce back after the birth because he’s super dedicated to his physical routine. What he’s not so confident about is the slipping control he has over his quirk. He has (had) an iron clad control, and the random explosions while pregnant are so embarrassing. Not to mention the disruption that his quirk causes in his nest. He has to replace so many cushions which makes his instincts go wild because significant changes to an omega’s nest while pregnant is distressing. If his friends tease him about the loss of control, he gets genuinely mad about because it’s something of a sore spot.
· Jumin – Jumin tries to keep his life while pregnant as close to his life before being pregnant as possible and in many ways, he nails it. He buys copies of his favourite suits and has them tailored every other week to fit his growing stomach. He buys non-alcoholic wine and drinks it with a grimace. He schedules lots of massages to keep the aches and pains away, so he feels normal. But there is one thing that isn’t so easy to keep normal: his emotions. Now, this fits into this category rather than the one below because Jumin gets insecure about how his emotional control impacts his ability to work. His emotions had never impacted his career before, but now he can’t help but tear up when he gets overstressed, he can’t work long hours without getting lonely and wanting to go home, he can’t take business trips because he doesn’t want to leave his nest for too long. It makes him feel a little like he’s lost himself because these things are things he’s been doing with ease for his entire life. He’s quite irritated by it and it damages his self esteem somewhat.
Insecure emotionally (e.g., unsure about being a good parent etc.):
· Tamaki –Tamaki also makes it onto this category. His insecurities are very specific, but he worries about being a bad role model socially for his pup. If his alpha is very socially adept, I’m not sure he would worry as much, because he knows that his pup can learn from their other parent, but if Tamaki’s alpha is also a little shy or prefers not being around people, then he gets really worried about it. Him being so shy and anxious has really impacted his life and he really doesn’t want it to impact his pup in the same way. He really worries that he’ll be a bad influence in that regard. (but the prospect of an extremely extroverted child is an equally terrifying concept in a different way haha.)
· Lucifer – He is very worried about being a good parent because all he can focus on is the past times when he wasn’t a good older brother. I mean, Satan hates him, and that’s as close to a father/child bond that Lucifer has, so surely that must mean he’s not cut out to be a father? He’s not good at emotions or reasonable punishments or showing affection or… well, point is he doesn’t think he has what it takes to be a good parent, when all he’s ever had is a shitty father himself, and all he’s ever been, is a shitty older brother that drove his family apart.
· Levi – Levi is insecure about most things that have to do with himself, so it’s not surprising that he gets very insecure about being a good parent which drops his self-esteem to an all time low. He can’t even watch any anime that focuses too much on parent/child relationships because he can’t help but compare himself every time, and he works himself up into a mini panic. It’s difficult to calm Levi’s insecurities but his partner can help him somewhat.
· Hawks – Keigo is very insecure about his abilities to protect his pup. His has this conspiracy theory that the hero commission will try to kidnap his child. They were furious when they found out he was pregnant during the peak of his career and they pushed him heavily towards abortion. Keigo leaked the pregnancy news to the public to force the commission’s hands, but he’s still so paranoid that they’ll stage a 'tragic accident' for his pup to force him back into hero work, or try and kidnap and raise his pup as they raised him. He doesn’t have any proof, per se, but he’s terrified that he can’t protect his pup so he really doesn’t like to leave his alpha’s presence. When he’s close to his due date, he’s too insecure with all his conspiracy theories clouding his mind to even let his alpha shower by themselves.
· V – Jihyun sort of convinces himself that he’s cursed when it comes to looking after people (Rika, Saeyoung, Saeran), so he’s very upset by the prospect that he’ll probably fail at raising his child too. He originally says that he wants to give the pup up for adoption to save them, but eventually you talk him around and start working through his problems. He just doesn’t thing he’ll be a good role model. The longer he waits to have children after the more traumatic events of his life, the less these issues crop up.
Miscellaneous:
· Aizawa – Shouta gets insecure when people pay too much attention to him being pregnant. He doesn’t like people giving up their seats for him on public transport, he doesn’t like his students and colleagues asking invasive questions, he doesn’t like those awful shop attendants that try to shoehorn him into buying baby supplies he doesn’t need. He wishes people would just treat him normally. (and he absolutely starts to activate his quirk every time someone tries to touch his tummy without asking first.) But yeah, all the eyes and attention makes him super uncomfortable and it makes him overanalyse everything he does which does impact his self esteem.
· Light – Light has a very specific insecurities while pregnant which revolve around the fear that he’s lowering himself by carrying a pup. All his life he’s had people tell him that because he’s an omega, he should give up on all his dreams and have pups and stay home instead. It really doesn’t sit well with him that he’s doing what all those awful people told him to do (at least it feels that way to him). He feels ashamed and he hates it. He avoids everything stereotypical while pregnant. He’ll kick you in the face if you try to rub his feet, he does everything in his power to avoid giving in to cravings, and he doesn’t make a nest. It all takes a serious toll on his health but it would take one hell of a stubborn alpha to get him to bend on any of that. It puts a strain on the relationship.

Noctilucence
Student Aizawa x (she/her) student reader, so much angssssttt and grief and a bunch of fluff. (Do not bring any pedo shit into my presence or I will fucking destroy you)
This will be 9 chapters long. Ch. 2 here.
MANGA SPOILERS until episode 107 comes out. - also this requires context that I am not providing from MHA manga and the arc with Aizawa in Vigilantes. TW: death.
Lmk if you like it and I can post more!
Ch. 1 the Clouds
As someone who was uniquely talented and had a very useful quirk, the first few weeks of your first year at UA went by quickly. You were favorited by your new classmates because of your intelligence and your extremely powerful healing quirk, so everyone wanted you at their side. You decided to take the path of general studies, being that you wouldn’t be in combat much but more so in rescue services, you would be more well rounded that way. After the first few hectic weeks blew past, things seemed to settle and you realized you hadn’t made a lot of friends, just some colleagues and acquaintances, which was fine, networking is important, but didn’t make you feel like you fit in as much as you should. Everyone was friendly with you but usually just on the surface, so they can get you to you help them with something. You obliged, since the whole reason you went to UA was to learn to effectively help people in the first place. You drifted along in classes and were generally abject with your life, until you met Oboro.
You were asked to sit in on a few sparring matches by hero course 2-A’s home room teacher since recovery girl would be out for about a week. Since your quirk allowed you to heal from a distance, you stood with 2-A’s sensei and took in the abilities and personalities of your future colleagues. Being that they were in their second year and you in your first, you’d hardly seen them at all yet, but were mesmerized by their quick thinking and mastery they had obtained after such a short time. Though you meant to take notes, you were too distracted and hypnotized by each heros proficiency.
These sparring matches were essentially used as a practical midterm, so each pair had a designated time which meant you would probably be there all day, even though a few pairs went the day before. Each midterm took about a half an hour, sometimes more, and the heros seemed equally matched. Standing next to 2-A’s sensei, you felt small and cold because of the gyms air conditioning. One side of the gym was plain, almost like a basketball court. The other was a rocky, almost impossible looking terrain where the matches were taking place. You yawned as you looked at your watch, noticing it was well past lunch but neither of you had eaten yet.
The next pair came into the gym on opposite sides and shook hands, and the home room teacher blew the whistle signaling the start of the match. You instantly recognized their quirks; one had some sort of blast quirk that was very bright and dynamic, and the other had the ability of creating and manipulating clouds of some sort. It seemed clear to you soon after the whistle who would have the upper hand, but that flipped rapidly as the battle went on, immersing you in the adrenaline filled motions the boys made with precision. The larger boy with the sunglasses seemed to be somewhat irritated and yielded a bit, while the cloud boy with light blue hair was surprisingly agile and stealthy, even when his opponent’s blasts broke through his barrier. You hear him shout things a few times, almost teasingly at the larger kid, but it appeared to be light hearted.
Blast kid had connected one good hit on the cloud kid’s arm, and you heard it reverberate through the gym. You barely had the time to blink before thick clouds covered them both. Their home room teacher nudged you as if to signal to be prepared to heal either one of them since you had both lost sight. Suddenly, seemingly out of nowhere, cloud kid bursts from the top of the mist and pulled out a quarter staff, (you could’ve swore it appeared out of thin air,) and in no time, disappears into the mist again.
The vapor slowly dissipated and you saw cloud kid with an adorably bright smile on his face, while his opponent was pinned to the ground, scowling.
“I wasn’t even trying that’s why you were able to beat me. I don’t even care about this midterm,” he barked.
“Sure man, either way it was a good match! Thanks!” The winner said as he held out his hand to help him up. The other scoffed at him, stood up on his own, and mumbled something to himself. He exited where he originally entered the gym.
The homeroom teacher called out to cloud kid, “Oboro! Come here, that hit sounded rough.”
He lightly jogged over to you both, having not even broken a sweat, and was entirely gleaming. Seemingly bursting with energy he proudly shook his sensei’s hand as a small congratulations on the victory, and turned to you.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around before,” he pulled out a granola bar from his pocket and started eating it sloppily. He spoke again before you had a second to respond. “Are you new here? A transfer student maybe? I’m Shirakumo Oboro, but you can just call me Oboro, or Cloud, or whatever you want. I don’t mind!”
For a second you were wary that he was being friendly to get you to do something for him, but then realized he had no idea who you were, so he was actually just that nice naturally. He surprisingly just met you and allowed you to call him by a nickname.
2-A’s Sensei leaned in, “Hey you’re on lunch now by the way, sorry it’s late, you’ve got an hour and a half till you need to be back here for the rest of it.” You thanked him silently with a head nod and he sauntered away. You made eye contact with Oboro.
“Hi Oboro,” you grinned, “I’m Y/n, I’m a first year so that’s probably why we haven’t met, but I am subbing for recovery girl today.”
“SUBBING AS A FIRST YEAR you must be pretty freakin cool then” he downed some water and some of it got on his shirt. “What is your quirk then?”
“I can heal people from a distance if I know what the issue is. So like if someone has kidney failure I can’t see that, so I might not be able to figure that one out, but if someone has a broken bone or something I can see that and fix it. So I’m learning a little internal medicine on the side so I can diagnose properly to heal.”
“Dang dude that’s sweet I just make clouds,” he bursted out laughing, and then heard your stomach growl, it has been a few hours since you’ve had anything to eat.
“Hey Y/n I have lunch right now too, do you wanna come down to the LRC with me? (what some kids called the Lunch Rush Cafe,) I can introduce you to some of our classmates.” You liked how he said our classmates, he’s genuinely very sweet and made you feel warm and welcome.
You started walking towards the cafeteria and filed into the hallway, following the crowd.
“I’ll still go down there even though I’ve eaten half my lunch already” he said pulling a sandwich out of his other pocket.
You giggled, “You have your whole lunch in your pockets?”
“Yeah?!” he stated with a mouthful, “you never know when you’re gonna need more energy, like after that match! At least I don’t eat those weird energy pouches like Shouta!” He laughed boisterously. You wondered who the heck ‘Shouta’ was.
You each went through the line in the busy cafeteria, Lunch Rush quickly handed you your meal and Oboro stuffed too many energy bars in his pockets.
“My friends eat on the roof if you wanna come up there! It’s….not exactly allowed but it’s not *NOT* allowed”
You pondered the thought of doing something that risky as a first year, but shook it off, knowing that Oboro wouldn’t lead you astray. Even though you had just met him, you were as comfortable as if you had known him for years. You nodded and hummed, signaling for him to lead the way, (you didn’t know how to get to the roof anyway,) and followed close behind.

The Promise of Rain, Blurb 3
Technically the third in a blurb-ish series (though this is kinda long for a blurb lol) but can technically be read as a stand alone, but i think the other parts make this seem more significant lol
A/n kinda angsty, not sure if i loveeee this but i haven’t posted a fic in such a long time bc of graduation chaos but now it’s summer and i’m working on a lot of requests/stories :))
Summary: jealousy is out of place when there’s no real warrant for it, and sometimes it’s okay to be content--to not need the rain to make you promises.
Pairing: Kaz Brekker x sunshine-y! reader
--
Tiredness dulls the part of me that craves the rambunctious, but I’m still positive. I smile when someone does something only the truly inebriated find comical. I laugh when something somewhat actually funny happens, and I let the world around me drink. Twenty minutes--in twenty minutes I will claim a headache and go upstairs.
“You okay, y/n?” Jesper’s concern would border on genuinely considerate if it wasn’t for the slightest hint of slur in his words. Nights in which he consols himself after losing game after game are when he’s the friendliest. “You’re strangely quiet--you’re never quiet.”
I press my lips together oddly, smiling in a way that finally reaches my eyes. Jesper’s nice in an oddly particular way when he’s tipsy. Overly observant and careful. “Just a little tired,” I shift in my seat, leaning back against the plush seat in Kaz’s office, “I wish Kaz would just get here and dismiss us so I can go to bed.”
Jesper smiles, lifting his arm slightly and causing his glass to sway. Kaz is not going to take it well when he realizes that Jesper was extremely involved in the downstairs celebration. He turns ungracefully, moving to sit next to me with no warning. I half-heartedly glare as he takes up most of the small couch.
“You’re grumpy when you’re tired,” Jesper hums, stretching his casually.
I sigh once, but it lacks any bite. “I do not.”
He smiles easily, tilting his head so far to the side that it falls against the back of the seat, “No...but I know the real reason you’re grumpy.”
Rolling my eyes, I suppress my instinctual reaction. That would only expose his words as true. “I am not grumpy, there is no reason--”
“You know he hated it.”
I exhale, tired and slowly losing my fragine hold on fake tranquility. “Yeah.” That should make it  better. “I know.” It doesn’t--it doesn’t make anything better.
So the contact we so desperately needed on our side took to flirting with Kaz. It was an uncomfortable situation because of its precariousness and I was worried because I know about his issues with touch. But it’s not like I care about the flirting part. No. It was unprofessional and so easily turned messy--that’s what my problem was.
Jesper sighs, stretching even more. I let him stretch his legs over me, too tired to push him off. I sigh, setting my chin on his bent knees. “What’s with the face, l/n?”
I roll my eyes again. Sometimes having someone care about you is annoying. I take back all of my positive thoughts about him--Jesper Fahey is an annoying drunk.
“There’s no face,” despite my words, I feel my expression sour even further. Jesper’s expression shifts from that of gentle worry to teasing pride. “And if there was one, it wouldn’t be because of Kaz Brekker.”
Jesper’s lips twitch upwards, something strange tainting his tipsy grin. “I never said a name.”
“One more condescending comment, and I’m shoving you off this damn couch.”
He laughs flatly, shifting closer and making himself more comfortable. Drunk and touchy--anyone else would have been slapped by now. “You’re nicer after some of this.”
He holds his glass out towards me casually, amber liquid sloshing slightly. I blink at the liquid with slight disinterest. I’m not exactly in the drinking mood...but I’m not exactly in the mood for any of this. The sound of the door opening doesn’t phase me--it’s not Inej, because she never lets herself be heard. Kaz doesn’t say anything, taking one dull step and then another, footsteps leaching the room of any warmth. The coldness he exudes so easily as a mask is strong tonight, I haven’t even looked at him and I can feel it.
Maybe I do need a drink.
I take the glass from Jesper, taking a quick and shallow sip of the liquid. It’s offensive in smell, taste, and the way it spills down my throat. The taste is much more intense than expected, some of the liquid slips past the corner of my mouth. Somehow more bitter than this moment, the liquid leaves me ready to splutter like a child. I exhale, pushing through the burning. Jesper moves his hand forward absentmindedly, wiping a single drop of liquid from my chin carelessly. The gesture would be sweet if my throat burned less.
“Jesper,” the warmth of the alcohol takes root in my chest, “That’s--” He laughs at my reaction, coaxing a smile from me. “Like literally the worst--why do you even have this?” If this is served in the Crow Club, I’ve never heard of it, this is the kind of under the counter alcohol that isn’t mass produced.
He laughs a little more freely. “Won it off of someone passing through--I don’t always lose.”
I wrinkle my nose, “An outlier shouldn’t be--”
“Oh, shut up.” Jesper laughs again.
“Both of you ‘shut up’,” Kaz sighs, stepping further into the room, “If you need to drink, at least wait until after my meeting.” I frown, ignoring Kaz’s lingering and sharp gaze, “You should all follow Inej’s example.”
“We can’t even see Inej.”
Kaz raises an eyebrow, but he regards me with nothing but voidness. He’s never exactly emotive, but normally in moments like this something I can never interpret touches his expression, coloring it human. “Exactly.”
“You’re funnier than people give you credit for.” The comment isn’t exactly sarcastic, but it’s something lighter than I should be offering. It’s an attempt at peace, the slight stiffness between us is starting to bother me. Our usual dynamic isn’t exactly friendly, but it’s more than this. Kaz glares. “But not tonight.”
His expression hardens. “Business is business. It’s not humor, it’s not whatever you try to make it.” Right. Just like it was business when that girl spent more time hitting on him than actually revealing real information. The thought leaves my expression tight as I swallow back my instinctual words. “It’s not whatever you’re currently doing.”
It takes me longer than it should to realize he’s referring to the position Jesper and I are in. Can he relax? It’s not my fault Jesper is tipsy and touchy.
“Kaz,” Inej’s voice is soft yet determined as she emerges from the shadows. It’s a miracle the way she’s nothing more than a shadow until she chooses not to be. “What’s our next job?”
Prompting Kaz in order to prevent a fight--Inej, always the closest thing to a mom available. I give her a partial smile, glad that she’s wedging herself between us and the tension, preventing conflict I’m too tired to follow through on.
“A merchant’s house,” he begins slowly, “We’ll be searching a merchant’s house but I’m seeking evidence more than property.” Jesper swings his legs off the couch with no warning. My head falls. I glare at Jesper who offers me a slightly apologetic tsk before dropping his head on my shoulder. Kaz must note the exchange because something in his expression tightens. He’s extra irritable today. “I’ll disclose more tomorrow,” he sighs once, already turning away, “Most of you are beyond listening tonight anyways.”
He’s at the door before I can tell him that I’m not drunk. The door opens and closes, but Kaz’s heaviness lingers like led. I frown, letting my head fall to the side, resting on Jesper’s.
“He’s weird today,” I mumble, unsure if I want a reply.
“He’s always like that,” Jesper breathes, “You’re losing your novelty, y/n--he always learns to harden himself against anything bright.”
The words leave me even more tired. “I don’t think I’m particularly bright.”
“Kaz does,” Inej replies, “And it has nothing to do with ‘novelty’, Jesper’s just cynical when he drinks.” I don’t know if I believe her, but I like knowing that Inej thinks that. “And Kaz can’t harden himself against you, and he hates that.”
I press my lips together, straightening my spine. “I’m not that great, and whatever Kaz does or doesn’t harden himself against doesn’t affect me at all.” My nails press into the plush seat. “I don’t even know why we’re talking about this because whatever he does or doesn’t feel doesn’t matter to me.” I force myself up, doing all I can to seem perfectly calm. “All I care about is going to bed.”
Turning my head, I start to approach the door. Kaz has been strangely cold all night, and while I’m used to his moods, he hasn’t exactly directed them at me so fully since the day he caught me waiting for him to wake up after he almost died. If he wants to go back to how it used to be, then it can. Maybe I’ll care in the morning, when the growing weight of my eyelids is no longer a distraction.
“Sometimes the two of you confuse me,” Inej begins, “And sometimes I see you try to deal with emotion and I see the common ground.”
The words leave me cold. I don’t think being compared to Kaz is an insult, not when there’s so much it could mean. He’s much more complex than he wants to be. There is goodness within him, gilding the parts of him that are more shards than anything else.
I exhale, refusing to turn. Inej is too observant for her own good. “There is no emotion.”
“I’m not going to waste my time arguing over that because I know it’s a waste of time.” She pauses and I consider turning around in hopes of reading something less honest from her expression. “I’m just telling you as a friend that one of you needs to be mature and talk to the other tonight before the tension gets worse and that it’s not going to be him.”
She’s right. I exhale, “Do you think I should let him go?” Even just saying that leaves my heart aching. I know instantly that that’s not what I want, but it might be what he wants--it might be the best option. I might have the strength to let him go if I work at it. “I don’t--that’s not what I want and I’m not sure I could, but maybe that’s selfish of me.”
“Y/n.” I turn slowly, but I purposefully avoid her gaze, keeping my head down. “I know that I’ve known Kaz longer than you, and I know that when he’s getting along with you he’s,” she trails off, uncertain, “More him, in a good way.”
My heart swells, and with that comes feelings of panic. I never wanted to change him--to make him better or worse or anything; all I’ve ever wanted is to know him and to maybe help him with his burden. And to hear that maybe I’ve done that from someone so close to him--someone so observant and aware. That’s everything. And that terrifies me. Nothing good can last; nothing that seems to be all you could ever want actually is. I know that from life before the Crows, before I ran away from the castle I called home.
“I think he does the same for you.” I’ve never really thought about Kaz’s effect on me outside of the fact that he makes me feel warm in small moments and painfully seen in large ones.
I smile because she’s trying and she’s given me something. “I’d say I’d tell you when I make my decision, but something tells me you’ll know.”
She nods, expression shifting to something kind. “Goodnight, y/n.”
Jesper stretches out on the couch, settling himself comfortably, “Night, y/n.”
“Goodnight, guys.” I disappear past the door easily, heading towards my room.
I haven’t decided whether or not I’m going to look for Kaz tonight. How much damage could be done in one night? Maybe he needs space. Maybe seeking him out now will make things worse. I exhale, opening the door to my room easily. I’ll decide before going to sleep.
When I step into the room, everything is in place. Everything is fine--but something about it feels off. The light is on. I didn’t leave the light on. Nothing else raises any red flags, so I continue into the room calmly, examining everything carefully. Nothing feels out of place as I further enter the room. I take in my bed, my dresser, and lastly my nightstand.
My heart swells all over again, but this time it feels even heavier than before. On the center of my nightstand, in perfect condition, is a copy of Pride and Prejudice. The same book I told Kaz about, the one thing besides clothing I took from the palace. I told him it was my mother’s favorite and then he asked me to read it to him.
I can’t picture him seeing this and thinking of me. I can’t picture him thinking of me--but no one else knew about my attachment to the book. I need to find him. I need to--to see him, to speak to him. To look him in the eye and see something I only ever see when we’re alone. Maybe he won’t have that look this time, but that’s okay.
I can’t expect to always understand him, but that does not mean I don’t know him.
The thought leaves me feeling a little more settled within the boundaries of my skin, but I don’t ease entirely. The good is more frightening than the bad. My fear of happiness is a benign secret I haven’t had to worry about in years. I don’t know enough about it to know how to deal with it let alone mention it to Kaz. Not that it’s his problem.
I squeeze the book to my stomach. Swallowing pride is a difficult thing, but I’m used to it with him. It’s usually worth it with Kaz because sometimes when I try he tries in his own way. I should find him. He’s not awfully creative about where he goes when he wants to be alone because people know better than to bother him. Kaz is probably in his attic or getting air outside or…
The lights were on when I came in. I’m an idiot. I didn’t feel weird when I walked into the room because of the book. Someone’s in here. He’s in here.
Setting the book down like I should have never touched it, I let out a sigh. “Lurking is unbecoming.”
“It’s also unbecoming to work for me and be so easily distracted by a book.” His voice reveals nothing as he emerges from the shadows. “I could have killed you with how long it took for you to notice my presence.” He pauses, eyebrows drawing together. “The light was on.”
Normally I’d have some kind of comment, some kind of joke that offers a more peaceful situation. “I know.” It’s a flat response. “I think on some subconscious level I knew,” I drop my gaze away from him, “I knew I was okay.” That sounds dumb. “I mean...I think I knew it was you so I knew I was okay.” Yeah, that wasn’t anymore eloquent. “That doesn’t make sense, but if you get to be confusing, I do too.”
“Confusing? There’s nothing to understand.” Curt. Simple. Dismissive.
I frown. ‘Nothing to understand’. Right, because there’s nothing confusing about how quickly he decided to dismiss me just to bring me some obscenely sentimental gift. “If you’re mad at me, you should at least tell me why.” I press my lips together. “At least that way I’ll know if I need to apologize or kick your ass.”
At that, he presses his lips together, corner of his mouth threatening to tilt upwards. “You would kick my ass?”
Great, even when he’s easing he has to be annoying. “I could.” There is no universe in which I could take him in a physical fight. “On a good day.” I let out a breath, doing all I can to not focus on his expression. Awkwardness settles in my chest as my eyes land on my bed. I sit down, trying not to let my shoulders slump tiredly as I stretch my legs across my bed. “You’re not having a good day.”
“My day is fine, I’m just not naively cheerful like you,” his words turn sharp, “Or Jesper.”
Weird addition. “Jesper’s not cheerful, he’s just drunk.” I let go of the ‘naive’ part, deciding to focus on the bigger picture. “And I’m not as naive or joyful as you think I am.” I’m not sure if I mean that as a rebuttal or just a fact. “I have bad days too.” This isn’t the kind of conversation I should have while this tired. “I could be less cheerful if you’d like.”
He’s so silent I momentarily wonder if he’s left. “No.” It’s not much, but I take it. Straightening my back, I pull my legs beneath me, intentionally creating space. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Ah, blatant rejection. It would sting if I was less in the right. “Maybe you’ll be less weird then.”
“I am not being weird.” At least I’m getting some kind of reaction from him. “You’re the one who--”
“Who what?” Finally--progress.
Kaz sighs, turning slightly. “You’re the one who decided to ignore me after we met with the contact.” I part my lips, ready to retort, but no words come. He did pick up on my slight annoyance, and he reciprocated it in a much larger way.
He can never know that this all came from some ridiculous, territorial--partial jealousy. “I didn’t mean to ignore you,” partial lie, “I’m just kind of in a weird place today, I’m tired.”
“Not too tired for Jesper, it seems.”
What? Is that what this is about? “What? All I did was sit there--he’s a touchy drunk and I just happened to be next to him.”
“You laugh with him,” he says this blankly, “You can touch him.”
The edge of unsafe territory cuts into me at an odd angle. Is this about him? Is he really tormenting himself over something so asinine to me when it comes to him? I’d rather have him than all the physical touch in the world. The book on the nightstand feels closer to me, growing by the prospect of its significance alone. That gesture, that’s more intimate than anything Jesper and I did downstairs.
“So?” I straighten my back slightly. “It doesn’t mean anything.”
He presses his lips together. “That’s the problem--anyone can manage meaningless contact…” The silence is louder than the words that came before it. Oh. I guess I’m not the only one who gets just a little jealous in an unwarranted way. “What if you were hurt? What if you were hurt and we were alone and you needed someone to help you and I couldn’t?” He lets out a sigh, a sound too tired for me to associate with him. “You say you don’t care now, but you’ll grow tired of it--the only life I can offer.”
Inej’s words about the similarities between Kaz and I echo in my mind. “Sometimes I don’t like when things are going well because I don’t know how to be truly content, fully happy.” Saying this twists my stomach. “I don’t know how to trust good things, so whenever there are good things I think about all the ways I could ruin something and then I do.” I take a breath. “I’m not saying that things are particularly good for you or that you’re happy, but I am saying that maybe you shouldn’t think three steps ahead when there’s nothing to think ahead about.” I regard his expression carefully, but nothing has changed. “I told you the only thing I want is to know you, and that’s not going to change.”
“Y/n,” his voice is low, “I am not rain--I can’t promise you anything.”
I scratch my knee, dropping my gaze. “For once I don’t want rain.”
Kaz sighs. “Get some sleep.” Something about the way he’s speaking is authoritative but it lacks any weight. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
I frown freely, “Kaz--”
“You look tired,” he mumbles, “You need rest.” He’s using this as an excuse to escape his feelings, but he’s already given me more than I expected. Greed ruins things, but then again, so does selflessness. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“For the job?”
Something strange crosses his features as his expression teeters on shifting. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” he repeats, a little more certain.
The response doesn’t satiate me. “Kaz--”
“I may not be the rain, but I’m capable of making promises as well.” There’s something final about the way he says this, but it doesn’t feel cruel.
Maybe I’d protest if my eyelids were less weighted. “Goodnight, Kaz.”
My head falls against the pillow. I’m not sure if he replies, too lost in the drawl of sleep before he can even close the door.

The brisk air of the changing seasons accompanied Peter as he made his way to the school entrance from the train stop. His headphones sat snuggly inside his ears, playing a song that made the usually lonely journey to school less so. Ned didn’t take the same route as he did, so he had no one to talk to or make the trek to school less boring. He didn’t mind it; it gave him time to think and even finish school work. Still, sometimes he wanted someone by his side so he could discuss whatever was on his mind that day or ask questions whenever an assignment didn’t make sense.
The long ride to the school did give him time to people watch. There were times when he would deduce who could be a possible threat. Other times, he would simply look at people and try to figure out their stories without actually talking to them. The old lady who brought her cat onto the subway had severe separation anxiety caused by her estranged son. The man with exhausted eyes who looked like he was on the brink of passing out on his seat had a newborn daughter at home. And Peter was just trying to get to school, along with the other teenager on the subway. He didn’t talk to him, they were on entirely different wavelengths, but there was an understanding between the two of them. Whenever they saw each other, they would nod their heads in greeting. They would always sit one seat away from one another, and if the other was running late, they would wait.
He made his way up the stairs and towards the school, turning up the volume as a way to tune out the sounds of high school that he hated. The cheery rhymes that left the sounds of the cheerleaders to the arguing of students over who was right; he hated them before the bite, and he especially despised them now that he had hypersensitive hearing. Sighing in annoyance, he looked both ways before crossing the street only to rush forward as a car came barreling down the road.
“I swear to god, Y/N!” he heard her sister, Juliette, shriek, “we almost killed him!”
“But we didn’t. If you’re going to complain about my driving, then you can take the bus, Jules,”
“You almost killed someone!” Peter heard her exclaim. He could feel the way Y/N rolled her eyes.
“It’s only Peter,” she stated, making eye contact with him through the rearview as she let students pass, “who cares if he gets slightly scuffled?”
“You have literal issues,” Julie gasped. The car sped down the road, leaving Peter alone with a slightly elevated heart rate and irritation laced in his bones. It was the first day of school, and he nearly got run over. And by his ex-best friend turned enemy at that. He couldn’t wait to complain to Ned.
Their dynamic had changed, and Peter blamed her. They became friends because of Y/N’s grandmother and May in kindergarten. They were two birds of a feather until halfway towards seventh grade when Y/N became snippy and ruined what Peter thought was their perfect friendship. They drifted apart, and he blamed her for it breaking apart. He watched as she became someone he didn’t know anymore and left him behind. He just didn’t think it was fair for her to act self-righteous when she ruined their relationship.
“You okay, Pete?” Ned questioned as he fell into step with Peter, who was fuming with irritation.
“Yeah, just almost got run over by Midtown’s resident ice bitch,” he gritted. Ned nodded in response. He was friends with both Peter and Y/N once upon a time. Still, after everything she had put them through and the abrupt way she ended their friendship, he sided with Peter and subsequently lost a friend. He figured it was for the best. He wasn’t as resentful as Peter was—his friendship with Y/N hadn’t been built in kindergarten—but he still didn’t appreciate her actions.
“Oh,” he nodded in understanding, “are you okay at least?”
“Yeah, but it did sorta ruin my mood,” Peter confessed. He was having a pretty good morning until his reflexes were put to the test. He woke up on the right side of the bed and had time to eat breakfast with May before she went to work. The walk towards the subway station was nice; he said hi to everyone he usually greeted and even got a muffin from the lady with the three-year-old daughter. Then the subway wasn’t as busy as it usually was, so he wasn’t squashed next to the man with the foul body odor and could actually sit down. All of that happiness came crashing down the second he saw her in her car, looking unapologetic for nearly killing him and then dismissing her sister for chastising her.
“Well, get happy, my arachnid friend, because I heard some exciting news,” Ned smiled, poking him on the arm as they walked to their first class.
“What?”
“You’re top of our class, which means you’re a shoo-in for valedictorian,” Ned said excitedly. Peter grinned at that. All of his hard work would finally be noticed and celebrated. He had been working on greeting his class for four years, doing extracurriculars, and taking on extra projects for grade boosts. Sometimes he even stayed after school to help his teachers grade papers or help the librarian sort the books back into their respective spots on the shelves. It would all be worth it in the end after he finally reached the goal he had set for himself his freshman year.
There was a snag in his plans. While he may have been top of his class, that didn’t mean that he couldn’t be pushed from his place. Y/N Y/L/N was the smartest girl at Midtown. She was everything he wasn’t. She was popular—if the excessive amounts of clubs she was part of were any indication. She was social—everyone talked about the interactions they had with Midtown’s princess. She was everywhere, and nothing Peter was. She was the head of the planning committee, and everyone knew that any school party planned by Y/N Y/L/N never disappointed. Peter couldn’t compete. He found peace in knowing that he was slightly better than her at academics.
The two continued walking in silence, content with the atmosphere they had created after finding out that Peter would finally have something go his way for once. He figured it was the least the universe could do for him. He had lost both parents before he could make memories with them, then he lost his best friend, and then he got bitten by a spider that changed his life; for better or for worse, he didn’t know. Being valedictorian wouldn’t take away the hurt the world inflicted on him, but it would make him feel somewhat better.
With a skip in his step, he walked into class with a grin so large, he didn’t think anything could bring him down. Of course, he thought wrong. His English teacher had to make a day he felt he could turn around into one he wished would end faster.
“It’s about time you all had a project—the topic of discussion, poetry. You will be partnered up and tasked with reading and creating your own poems by the end of the month,” she paused, waiting for her class to stop looking at one another and whispering amongst themselves, “I’ve already chosen your partners, so it would do you all some good to stop getting your hopes up and listen.”
With that, the high schoolers shifted in their seats and gave their attention back to their teacher. She was good at pairing up students who were cordial with one another and worked well together. Friendships usually sparked from her partnering, sometimes even relationships. So Peter, and the rest of the class, weren’t as annoyed as they wanted to be. They knew she wouldn’t let them down. Peter waited eagerly as she listed off students who would be working together. He hoped he got paired up with someone who matched his work ethic or someone he got along with.
“Peter Parker, you will be with Y/N Y/L/N,” and just like that, he hated English class and lost all faith in his teacher. He looked across the room to where the said girl was seated. She was writing in her planner—Peter was sure she was planning Ms. Ingrid’s death—but she looked up when her name was called. She turned her head and met Peter’s eyes, unamused and bored. She shook her head and looked at her planner once again. Peter took that as a sign to do the same and focus on anything other than his rising anger.
Peter watched as everyone moved to meet their partners, many of them happily talking to one another. He was stubborn. He decided that if she wasn’t going to make an effort to push aside whatever hatred she had towards him and talk to him for the sake of their grades, he wasn’t going to. He was going to sit in his seat and read a poem from the packet his teacher had handed out. Just because he had a lousy partner didn’t mean his grade had to suffer. He would complete the project by himself if he had to.
“Mister Parker, last I checked, you were to be working with Miss Y/L/N,” Miss Ingrid quipped as she walked to Peter’s desk with a teasing smile.
“Actually, Miss, I was hoping I could talk to you about that?” He asked. He liked Miss Ingrid. She was understanding and compassionate, and she didn’t talk down to her students as if they were children.
“Something wrong, Peter?” she asked, concerned. Peter felt bad. He knew he was petty, and his favorite teacher didn’t need to be pulled down to his level. But he couldn’t bring himself to work with someone who didn’t want to work with him. That usually meant he was left to do the work by himself and watch the other person still get credit. It infuriated him so much he would rather do the project himself from the start.
“Yeah, um, I can’t work with Y/N,” he muttered, smiling at her with an embarrassed smile. Peter admitted it sounded stupid and childish when said aloud, but he had his reasons.
“And, pray tell, Peter, why not?”
“I just don’t think we would work well together,” he confessed. Seeing the look on her face, Peter was quick to defend himself more, “and I just don’t want to do the work for someone else and have them get credit for doing nothing. So, if it’s alright with you, Miss Ingrid, I would like to work on this on my own.” He was practically begging. Hoping she would agree.
“I’m sorry, Peter, but this is a partner project. To lessen the workload,” she sighed, “besides, I don’t think you have anything to worry about with Y/N; she’s very good at doing her share.” She stood up with those final words and tapped the table before standing up and sending him a smile. He sighed, putting his head down and looking at his desk in annoyance. He looked up when a book landed on his desk. Closing his eyes to keep himself from exploding at whoever shattered his tranquility, he was met with eyes he used to find joy looking into. Now, he never wanted to look into them ever again.
“We’re partners. I don’t like it, you don’t like it, but we have to do it otherwise, our grades will plummet, and you can’t afford that if you want to be valedictorian. So, we’re going to push our difference aside for this one project and do it, so we never have to talk to again,” she said curtly.
That left no room for argument, which caused Peter to nod his head in agreement. She was right; he couldn’t afford to lose the one thing he was looking forward to being. Sighing deeply, he motioned for her to sit down and opened the book she threw on his desk. She took a seat beside him and opened another poetry book, focusing on the words written on the paper and trying to plan their poem out. They had to get a good grade; she didn’t want him to blame her for something else.
Despite his annoyance and hatred towards her, he couldn’t help but glance up from the book he was reading. Of course, he had seen her around, it was hard to ignore one of the most known girls in the school, but he had never taken the time to admire her. His anger and betrayal kept him from doing so. She still had the same gleeful look in her eyes and the confident aura around her. Time had done her well. She had lost her kidlike features, and it was evident that she had matured. He would be a liar if he said she wasn’t pretty, and even that didn’t truly justify it.
When the bell signaled the end of class, Peter quickly grabbed his belongings and left the classroom. He didn’t stop to wait for anyone, much less Y/N. Their only interactions would be in the English room, a controlled space where she couldn’t kill him for so much as breathing in her direction. Walking towards his locker, he heard the noises of people as they navigated the busy halls of the school. Stopping at his locker with a sigh, he leaned his head on the cool metal. The day had been long, and he shrill had six other classes to go to.
A tap on his shoulder made him pick up his head. Y/N stood in front of him, bouncing on her feet as she played with her fingers.
“You left before I could ask when you can meet up. The faster we get this done, the faster we can stop being around one another,” she quipped. “I’m free on Friday after school.”
“I’m not. I have the Stark internship,”
She rolled her eyes at his response, “okay and? We need to get this done so we can go back to never speaking to each other. I’m sure Tony Stark will understand that you need to take one day off to do a school project.”
“Not happening. I don’t know if you know this, but you’re not worth losing the internship over,” he jibed. He missed the look of hurt that flashed on her face. She shook her head and scoffed.
“Well, we need to get this done. Either we work on this stupid project on Friday, or we’re both failing,” she reminded before walking away. Peter groaned and banged his head on the now open door. He ignored the looks he got from his locker neighbors and kept his head buried in the empty space. Friday’s were the days he went into the Avenger’s compound and actively worked in the lab with Tony after he finished his Spider-Man duties; the last thing he wanted to do was infect the compound with her hatred and bad vibes.
He didn’t want to invite her, but he had been working on something with Tony for the past two weeks that he needed to finish. He figured he could get some work done while someone gave her a tour around the facility—probably Steve. He was easy to convince—then he would work on the English project with her and beg father time to go faster. She was right; the quicker they finished their work, the faster he could go back to hating her. With another groan, he picked up his head and closed his locker, rushing after Y/N and grabbing her by the wrist when he caught her before she slipped into her next class.
“Friday. We’ll meet after school in the parking lot and go to the Avenger’s facility. You can drive, right?” she nodded and pulled her hand out of his grip, glaring at him.
“Don’t ever grab me like that again,” she sneered, “but fine, whatever. I have to drop Jules off at home first though, is that gonna be a problem, Peter?” He knew she wasn’t asking him.
“No, whatever,” she nodded curtly and walked in, not sparing him a glance. He shook his head and walked away. Anger seeped into his bones, and annoyance clouded his head. The following weeks were going to be torture. He just knew. There was nothing worse than being forced to work with someone the person despised.
“Hey, Penis Parker!” there are worse things, apparently. He breathed out through his nose and turned around, meeting his eyes. He knew if he ignored Flash, he wouldn’t give up. He was relentless, and his voice sounded like nails on a chalkboard.
“What, Flash?” he ground out. Flash skidded to a stop beside him with a sick smile on his face.
“I heard from a little birdie that you were partnered up with Midtwon’s resident Princess,” he started.
“Yeah, so?” he questioned. He wanted out of the conversation as soon as possible. He didn’t want to talk to his bully about his enemy. That didn’t sound like a fun Tuesday.
“So, you can help me,”
“One, why would I help you with anything?” he questioned, “and two, I’m going to regret asking, but what could I possibly help you with?”
“Because I have something you might like, and you’re going to help me get Jules Y/L/N to go to the Fall Dance with me,” Peter paused in his step and furrowed his eyebrows.
“Okay, so what does that have to do with me being partners with Y/N? Can’t you just ask Jules?”
Flash snorted, “you’re an idiot, Parker. You don’t just ask the Jules Y/L/N out, okay? Everyone knows that Y/N tells her every negative thing about the guys at Midtown to keep her uninterested and that they’re always together.” He stated.
“I’m still not sure where I fall into this or what you could possibly offer me in return,”
“I’m glad you asked,” Peter rolled his eyes but continued listening, “if you can get Y/N to, I don’t know, fall in love with you so she eases off her ‘I hate the men at Midtown’ rhetoric, then I can swoop in and take Jules to the dance without a hitch.”
“And what do I get in return?”
“Two hundred bucks does wonders for the poor, no?” Flash snarked.
“Three hundred, and you’ve got yourself a deal, Eugene,” Peter smirked. Flash blinked in anger but nodded his head anyway, reaching his hand out and shaking it. Flash walked away and left Peter in the empty hallway, rethinking everything he had agreed to. It was cruel and harsh. Sure, Y/N had stopped being his friend and became a bitch towards him, but he would be playing with someone’s feelings. Then again, three hundred dollars could help May with the bills, and it would be retribution for all the shit Y/N had put him through.
He was going to do it, and he wouldn’t allow himself to feel guilty for it. Because it was her, and she deserved to feel some of the pain she had put him through.

“Could you go and check case evidence? And bring the detective with you.” Hotch had approached me, giving me orders for the next step to take in the team’s investigation. I accepted them with no discernible dissent in my voice towards Hotch, even though I would have rather stayed with Spencer working on the geographical profile. Especially since the detective had not taken my subtle hints of turning him down when he flirted with me. Unfortunately like many of these instances it was just easier to keep my mouth shut rather than cause problems with the police department we were liaising with. Though I still did know if I’d I had told Hotch he would’ve understood and changed it with a drop of a hat. it was still just easier to not say anything and power through the case, however sad and disappointing it was.
The detective had been hot on my heels ever since we had touched down here. At first it had been endearing and I just carefully let him down, saying a simple no to coffee.
I was sure he got the impression that if he ‘convinced me’ more he’d get me to say yes. I hadn’t told him until later that I had a boyfriend because it hadn’t been his business. I had only told him with a snippy tone in frustration when he would not let up. Unfortunately for me again he seemed to take it as a sign of ‘playing hard to get’ and did not stop his pursuits. I should probably tell Hotch about it before I punch him in the nose.
I was frustrated and annoyed, plus basically every other negative feeling in the book. I just wanted to be alone, or with Spencer.
When I finally got time to slip out of the room for a breather I scampered my way over to where my boyfriend was as he always gave me some sort of solace.
Unfortunately, it seems like the universe was against me this week.
Spencer’s eyes usually held not one ounce of anger, especially not towards me. When he flashed me a glare I got a little angry myself. What had I done to face the wrath of the genius? His demeanor towards me wasn’t doing anything to squash my bad feelings as it normally did, right now it was just fueling the flames.
I decided to just ask him upfront after a third glare was flashed in my direction instead of dancing around the issue any more, we did have a job to do, “Hey- Spencer, what’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” His tone was clipped and sharp, sharp enough that it felt like it could cut me.I wouldn’t have been that surprised if it did. It was obvious that ‘nothing’ was not true, there was obviously something going on.
I decided to ask again just to be sure, though there was definitely a possibility I was going to be snapped at again, “Are you sure?”
The harsh glare I was given was more piercing than the previous ones, cutting me deep.
“Yes, I’m sure!” Was whispered shouted at me along with the glare. It took every fiber of my being not to snap his head off even harsher than what he had done to me. Blinking back tears I got up and stormed off, completely done with the day- with this case. I just wanted to put this case behind me, putting it in the files to never be thought about by me again.
When we got to the hotel, after we were finished for the day, there was an eerie silence that fell over us. The silence only held for a moment as we stared at each other. I wasn’t going to speak before he was and if it wasn’t an apology I didn’t know if I had the energy left in me to say anything back.
I had ended up telling Hotch what had been going on with the detective, it had become too much for it to be reasonable to brush off (though in a perfect world brushing off someone like that wouldn’t be a reality but that’s just a daydream of mine I guess)
I stood at the other side of the room for a minute waiting to see if he’d say anything or if we’d be dancing around each other like this for the rest of the night.
He ran his hands through his hair a few times, looking like he was trying to collect his thoughts and sat down on one of the beds in the room. I wondered also if I’d be slipping into the second untouched bed by the window tonight.
“I-I’m so sorry.” My only response at first was a slight hum from the back of my throat while I processed my own thoughts. He seemed sincere, I wanted to believe he was sincere that is.
“Sorry for what?” On the ride back to the hotel, once my irritation towards his attitude had somewhat satiated in the cool silence of the car, I had figured out what he had been bothered by. Spencer wasn’t all that hard to read once I got to know him. However, I wasn’t going to provide the reason for it, I still wanted to hear the reasoning from his own mouth.
“I was envious- jealous of you and the detective today.”
“You were envious?” Being green with envy wasn’t something that Spencer had ever expressed in our relationship before. Being envious- or jealous as most people would call it could be something to be played with in a relationship. It’s an emotion to be delicately handled otherwise the relationship could be filled with possessiveness and aggression.
Spencer was for sure out of line earlier today, he was certainly right when he said I’m sorry.
But, since he had said sorry and that I could tell he was sincere, maybe there was still a chance to play with the delicate emotion in a way that would not crack the foundation. Plus the added fact that I didn’t need to ask for an apology was comforting. There was no need for a fight when the person at fault admitted it. And, in time I’m sure when our relationship has had more time to build a larger foundation, those feelings of envy would not be so easily provoked— unless of course if it was time to play with those delicate emotions.
“Y-yeah, I was getting mad that I wasn’t the one that you were with today. A-and- I also didn’t like that the detective wouldn’t stop flirting with you…” His stuttered apology wasn’t what I was totally paying attention to, though don’t get me wrong I did appreciate it. What I was focused on was how much I wanted to claim him, to show him how much I was just as much as he was mine.
“Well, I’m glad you apologized, I accept it and I understand where you were coming from- plus the case hasn’t been easy on any of us. Just don’t ever do something like that again, please.” Spencer’s shoulders slumped from a sigh and an added nod, relaxing from my words after being tense with anxiety. Sauntering over to him after I had accepted his apology with one plan in mind made my panties wet with anticipation. When I straddled his lap his eyes blew wide, not expecting these turn of events. I grabbed the back of his hair, not too harshly, just enough to get a firm grip to tilt his hair back while I spoke into the shell of his ear, “And, now I’d like to show you how much I belong to you— and it’s just as much as you belong to me.”
Instead of getting an intelligible response from Spencer all I got was a moan, not that I was complaining. While I captured his lips in a breathless kiss I began to grind my hips down onto him in slow circles, giving him a taste of what’s to come.
He surrendered to my dominance in the kiss almost immediately, letting me guide him in any way I wanted him to go. As I rocked my hips over the bulge in his slacks I could feel it grow harder underneath me, I couldn’t wait to free it from its confines. I made sure to mark up his neck with as many hickies that made me satisfied- plus I let him give a few to me as well.
His submission underneath me wasn’t something that I was unused to. This time seemed to be a little different however.
I couldn’t place my finger on what exactly was different, maybe it was that we were so desperate for each other that the clothes practically melted off- which was a lot quicker than how we normally took our pace.
“Can I show you how good I can be for you, Miss?” His eyes were wide and begging, there was no way I could refuse a face like that.
That was how I ended up riding his face, with no hesitation in sight from him. All he wanted to do was to please and he was greedy for it. Even after I had started to pull up off of him after I had already had a shattering orgasm he pulled his hands down onto my hips to have me writhing on top of him im overstimulation. I could’ve punished him for it, but it felt too good to punish.
I was going to make sure he was ready too, possibly by taking him into my mouth for a bit, which I loved to do. However, his little whimpered out pleads about how much he wanted to feel me were just as hard to ignore as the previous pleas. It was hard to say no to a face that looked so pretty when he begged.
I sunk down on him slowly, at least letting myself relish in that feeling for a bit before Spencer would undoubtedly coax me into a faster pace because of how desperate he was. My own desperation wasn’t too far behind to be honest.
When I took him down fully to the hilt I only let myself feel the weight of him inside me for a moment before I started to roll my hips to create a rhythm. The pace I created was just as everything else up until this point had been, desperate.
While I bounced on him I had become unsatisfied with the amount of marks I had left on him before, diving into his neck to pepper them with hickies not really considering the fact that we had to go to work tomorrow. At least he still had that concealer he bought when we first started dating.
Seems that Spencer could not seem to think of it either as in between my ravishing of his neck and upper chest he’d also been getting in his fair share of marks. His were more centered at my chest, he’d been making sure my boobs were not neglected.
My second orgasm washed over me when Spencer brought up his fingers to rub my clit in quick circles. When my pace began to stutter in their movements as I rode myself through my orgasm while trying to help Spencer reach his, his hands came up to my hips to help aid me. Once my pleasure had partially abated I began to focus on his.
“Come on, sweet boy, you’ve shown me how good you are, now I want you to cum for me.”
His eyes rolled back into his head at my words, close to falling off the edge. I grabbed both of his hands interlinking them together and pinned them to the bed to help push him towards his release. A high pitched whine came up from his throat and he fell over the edge, cumming inside me.
We stayed together like that for a bit while we were both coming down from our highs. For a while there was only silence between us as we basked in each other's presence until I decided to make a joke.
“Are you no longer green with envy?” I simpered a bit at him, teasing him just a little as I started to even out my breath some whileI also traced all the marks I had left on him. I was teasing him about the events of today, but I’m reality that horrible detective was far from my mind- it was just Spencer and I. I’d have to see later while looking in the mirror what marks he had also left on me to claim me just as much as I had done to him.
His nose scrunched up at me and he giggled, his giggles were my favorite sound. When I first heard it I knew I would become addicted to pulling little giggles out of him as often as I could. In an uncharacteristic comeback through giggles Spencer then said, “No you kinda fucked it out of me.”

Make A Scene
AMHL – Masterlist
Tumblr media
Dick immediately noticed when Y/N started getting quieter and quieter as they got closer and closer to the venue.
Bruce had hired a driver to pick them up from their apartment in Gotham. And the car had gone quiet now.
Dick reached over to gently hold her hand.
“Nervous?” He asked.
Y/N shrugged, not really seeing the point in trying to lie to her boyfriend.
“This isn’t your first rodeo, ya know.”
She gave him a look. “You know that wasn’t the same.” Her eyes flickered to the driver. “I wasn’t exactly…myself. And I wasn’t your girlfriend.”
Also, tonight they didn’t have the security and comfort of being at Wayne Manor.
No, instead this particular event was being held at the ballroom of Gotham’s most extravagant five-star hotel. It was a party for Wayne Enterprises, not a personal charity or party of the Wayne family.
Bruce had kindly asked Dick and Y/N to attend when board members and business partners started asking if the whole family would be attending. Jason hadn’t answered anyone’s calls or texts about it. None of them expected him to show up. Tim had to attend since he worked for Wayne Enterprises. And Damian…Well, Damian was his father’s son and not yet an adult. He basically had to do whatever Bruce asked of him while he lived under his roof.
“I’m not gonna leave your side,” Dick promised.
He squeezed her hand to further emphasize it.
Their car pulled up to the carpet at the bottom of the stairs.
There had to be a hundred journalists and photographers, along with random civilians who had nothing better to do than to see Gotham’s elite get out of cars and walk into a hotel.
Dick took in a deep breath.
Thankfully the car’s windows were tinted and protected them from any onlookers.
“Ready?” He asked her.
She nodded.
Dick opened the door and ignored the screams and flashes as he carefully helped Y/N out of the car with his offered hand. He also shielded her from the photographers to give her a moment to get out and adjust herself before they could capture any photos of her.
“Mr. Grayson! Mr. Grayson! Who is your mystery girlfriend?” Someone yelled.
Sometimes Y/N forgot that Dick was somewhat of a celebrity in Gotham City through association.
It wasn’t like people were asking for selfies everywhere he went. Or that the paparazzi were following his every move.
But in Gotham, people took note of where Dick Grayson went and who he was with.
And everyone noticed he’d had the same woman on his arm for quite some time now.
Even though Y/N and Dick had been dating for over a year, the media still couldn’t figure out Y/N’s identity.
What they didn’t realize was that she controlled every single piece of information about herself that lived on the internet.
They didn’t stand a chance.
Dick smiled and waved at people who called his name. But his hand other hand never left Y/N’s as he helped her up the stairs.
“Who are you wearing?” A female journalist yelled at Y/N.
She ignored them and focused on getting up the stairs without tripping and face planting. Not that Dick would ever let that happen.
However, she knew her outfit was going to draw gazes.
Y/N had made a promise to herself that if she was going to be forced to attend events like this with Dick, then she was going make a statement. People were already going to be staring at her, so she figured she might as well give them something good to stare at.
Instead of wearing a typical cocktail and formal dress, Y/N wore a full men’s suit that was tailored to perfection, but with the bowtie undone. It was what the fashion magazines would describe as “androgynous” in the press tomorrow morning.
Y/N wanted to control her own narrative. And she’d rather be judged for her bold decisions than just her trying to blend in.
Bruce insisted on paying for all the boys’ date’s dresses – in this case, suit – if they happened to bring one. He always thought it was more of an incentive for them to attend these terrible events if he encouraged them to bring significant others. And the press always had a field day with it, which only helped throw people of their trail when it came to their secret lives as vigilantes.
Everyone kept screaming Dick’s name as they walked in, and Y/N wondered how he got so good at smiling through the chaos and ignoring them.
Once they were inside, Dick felt the tension leave Y/N’s body a bit.
“Alcohol?” He offered with a smirk.
“Yes, please.”
He nodded, knowing it was exactly what she needed.
Quickly, he grabbed two champagne flutes off a passing waiter.
They clinked glasses.
Then he leaned forward and whispered in her ear, “Thank you for being my date.”
Y/N smiled at his sincerity.
Dick sighed before he threw back the champagne, “The quicker we find Bruce and prove we were here, the sooner we can leave.”
“Try not to sound so excited,” she laughed darkly.
Suddenly felt a small human wrap around her thighs.
Y/N gasped in excitement, “Dami!”
Dick smiled as he looked down at his 10-year-old brother hugging his girlfriend.
“Dick gave me the drawing you made for us. It’s so beautiful. I’m trying to find the perfect frame for it,” she told the boy.
Damian beamed with pride at that.
Suddenly the boy started asking a million questions about Stoker, one of his kittens that he’d given to them to take care of when Bruce gave a limit to how many cats Damian was allowed to have in the manor.
Then, to Dick’s shock, he saw Jason slowly walk over to them with his hands in his pant pockets.
He was not at all dressed nice enough for the event. No suit jacket. No tie. His white button-up shirt wrinkled, messily tucked into his pants, and with two many buttons undone. The sloppiness of it all clearly wasn’t an issue with the women, seeing as all of them were ogling Jason.
“Todd,” Damian greeted coldly, pausing his conversation with Y/N, who whipped around at the name.
“Hey, you,” Y/N smiled as she went to greet him.
Jason gave her a friendly kiss on the cheek and a quick hug.
“I really didn’t think you were coming,” Dick told his brother.
“Well, I wasn’t. But I got a business engagement.”
Y/N and Dick shared a confused look.
“What do you mean?” Dick asked.
“I found my neighbor crying on her fire escape a few nights ago. Apparently… one of the finance bros of Wayne fucking Enterprises was everything but a gentleman to her.”
Y/N’s eyes widened in realization. “J, I already took care of that.”
“I know,” Jason nodded as his eyes scanned the room. He was clearly on a personal mission tonight. “You deleted the evidence. I am teaching him a lesson.”
Dick slowly put together what they were implying.
“Oh, please don’t make a scene, Jason.” Dick begged him.
Because he knew Bruce wouldn’t be dealing with the aftermath; it would be him.
“Don’t worry!” Jason laughed. "I’m gonna take him outside before I beat the shit out of him. No one here will even notice. It’ll be fine,” Jason assured him as he gave Dick a far too heavy slap on the back.
“Just tell Bruce and he’ll get him fired,” Dick tried to convince him to take the less violent route.
“Oh, we already did,” Y/N muttered.
Dick’s gaze shot to his girlfriend.
“He’s getting fired on Monday,” she clarified sheepishly.
“Since when do the two of you work together behind my back?” Dick accused them.
But he wasn’t actually mad about anything – maybe just a little bit bitter.
Jason opened his mouth.
“I swear to God, Jason, if you say ‘club business,’ I will lose it…” Dick warned.
Y/N tried to hide her smile.
“Got him,” Jason growled as he glared at someone on the other side of the room.
As soon as he left them, Dick gave Y/N his full attention.
“Seriously?” He accused.
“I’m sorry! He asked me for a favor and I was happy to do it once I realized what it was,” Y/N defended.
Dick pouted a little. Mostly because he hated being left out.
“Don’t worry, ya big baby. I’m still your ‘guy in the chair’ and no one else’s,” she teased before giving him a kiss, immediately wiping the lipstick off his lips.
“How come Jason gets to beat up people at events like this, but I’m expected to behave like a well-trained dog?” Damian mumbled.
Dick sighed and shook his head.
“Jason likes to think he’s a lone wolf who doesn’t have to play by the rules,” Y/N tried to comfort the boy.
To distract Damian from getting further into how unfair it was, Y/N asked him to show her more of his drawings.
This seemed to please Damian and he pulled his phone out, flipping through photos and showing Y/N his recent sketches.
With Y/N being entertained by his youngest brother, Dick decided to go to the bar and get the two of them a stronger drink and maybe get a kiddie cocktail for Damian. He’d pretend to be patronized and annoyed by it, but Dick knew better.
He patiently waited for the bartender’s attention.
“So Gotham’s Golden Boy really has returned…” a husky voice uttered beside him at the bar.
Dick glanced over to see a beautiful woman close to his age eyeing him.
It was clear what she wanted. Dick used tactics like this on countless missions.
“So I have,” he answered.
He was polite, but distant.
Women hitting on him at events like this was nothing new. To Gotham, Dick Grayson was a Bruce Wayne 2.0 – younger, just as charming and handsome as his mentor and stand-in father figure.
Dick knew how to play the game. But he never had any interest in casual relationships like Bruce did.
“Back for good?” The woman persisted.
“My girlfriend and I are just in town for a few weeks,” he answered before ordering his drinks with the bartender finally.
“Oh, brought up the girlfriend rather quickly,” she laughed.
Dick quirked an eyebrow. “Is that a problem?”
“No, it’s just…my friends and I had a bet going.”
Then she pointed to a group of three young women, who were giggling and smiling, not even trying to pretend like they weren’t watching them closely.
“Oh, yeah?” Dick asked, already tired of this conversation.
--
Jason had already rejoined Y/N and Damian.
Y/N looked down to see his knuckles red with irritation and bruised.
“Please tell me there’s not a corpse in the alley behind this hotel now…” Y/N sighed.
“No,” Jason answered coldly. “Though there fucking should be.”
“What did he do?” Damian asked curiously, clearly he hadn’t been listening to their earlier conversation that closely.
Y/N shifted her weight in discomfort, not sure how to handle the subject with the boy. Yes, Damian was far more mature than many grown men, but he was still just a kid. There were some things Y/N felt like they should at least try to protect him from still.
“He got my neighbor too drunk to consent, filmed them having sex without her knowing it, and then showed it to a bunch of people at their work,” Jason answered bluntly.
Damian’s brow furrowed, clearly thinking long and hard about what his brother just told him.
After a moment, the boy perked up, “I know where we could hide the body so even father won’t find out.”
“Damian!” Y/N scolded.
But Jason was beaming.
Y/N looked around for Dick, hoping to find another sane person to stop the two boys from actually murdering anyone tonight.
But when she finally spotted him, she saw a woman standing far too close to Dick and pointing to a group of girls who flirtatiously waved and winked at both of them.
“Real cute,” Y/N muttered to herself.
“Vultures,” Damian growled as he followed her gaze.
“Jason, if I leave you alone with Damian, are you going to kill someone?” She asked without taking her eyes off her boyfriend.
“I don’t need to be watched,” Damian groaned.
“No, I need you to watch Jason to make sure he doesn’t change his mind about keeping that asshole alive.”
“Fine,” Damian whined.
Without any further confirmation, Y/N left them.
She walked across the party on a mission, never taking her stare off of her boyfriend.
Dick did a double take when he noticed her heading towards him.
“Hey,” he greeted innocently.
Because he was innocent. All he’d done was be polite to a bunch of women who were after him for his name…and maybe his good looks.
“I was wondering where my drink was,” Y/N said with a surprising calmness and smile.
Then she turned to the woman.
“Hi, I’m Y/N. You must be a friend of Dick’s.”
She held her hand out.
No cattiness. No rudeness.
Y/N said it with the same kindness that drunk women having with other drunk women in bar bathrooms.
“Oh…I’m Irina,” the woman stuttered as she took Y/N’s offered hand, clearly confused by Y/N’s niceness.
Dick held out her drink.
Y/N took it, quickly clinked her glass with both Dick and Irina.
“Cheers,” she sang before tossing it back and chugging the drink that was meant to be slowly sipped.
Dick didn’t know what game his girlfriend was playing, but he was intrigued.
Once Y/N lightly placed her empty glass back on the bar, she turned to Dick and tilted her head to the side. “Could you show me to the bathrooms? I have no idea where they are.”
“Of course,” Dick answered without knowing where this was going.
“It was nice meeting you, Irina,” Y/N told the woman as she linked her fingers with Dick’s and guided him away.
Meanwhile, Jason watched the interaction as if he were watching an award-winning movie. Him and Damian were way too far to hear, but everyone in the bat family could read lips more than fluently.
Then Jason smirked as he watched Y/N drag Dick away.
“Boys,” Bruce greeted as he snuck up on the two of them. “What are we staring at?”
“Oh, you know,” Jason hummed with hilarity, “just watching Y/N assert her dominance.”
“Good for her,” Bruce grinned as he realized what was happening.
He moved his attention to his youngest boy. “Alfred is waiting outside with the car. You’re officially released from your duties.”
“Finally,” Damian groaned.
“Don’t you wanna say bye to Y/N?” Jason asked.
“They’re coming to the manor tomorrow afternoon,” Bruce answered for his son. Then he raised a brow at Jason. “You’re welcome to join us.”
Jason’s only response was a shrug.
Bruce tried to hide his disappointment and nodded before he guided Damian away and walked him outside, where Alfred was waiting.
10 minutes later, Jason saw Dick trailing behind Y/N as she walked back to the main area of the event.
Jason burst out laughing at the spectacle.
Dick’s hair was an absolute mess. Half of his shirt was untucked. His jacket was draped over his forearm. His lips were swollen and pink. Y/N had left lipstick all over his neck and even a bit on the collar of his shirt.
Yet somehow not a single hair was out of place on Y/N and her makeup was still immaculate. Her outfit was just as sleek and clean as when she’d arrived. The only thing different was the proud smirk on her lips.
Clearly Y/N had just had her way with Dick.
But she wanted to make sure the whole party knew about it.
Y/N hadn’t said a word to Dick since she dragged him from that woman.
Her body did all the talking.
One second they were at the bathroom doors, the next Y/N had thrown him against the tiled wall after locking the bathroom door.
She gave no verbal explanation, just started kissing him and undoing his pants.
“Not that I’m complaining. Like, at all,” Dick laughed as they rejoined the party. “But wanna to tell me what that was all about?”
Y/N finally stopped walking and turned to face him with narrowed eyes. “I think you know, Richard.”
Y/N only ever used his full first name to provoke and tease him. And he hated that it worked every single time.
Dick glanced around to see that everyone in their vicinity was eyeing them. Well, they were mostly eyeing him and how it was clear he’d just been fucked in the bathroom.
He stepped close to her and lowered his voice, “Ohhh, I see how it is.” His eyes flickered down to her lips for a split second. “If a guy does that, he’s jealous and possessive. But if a woman does it, it’s sexy…”
Y/N proudly smiled like the cheshire cat. “Exactly.”
Something over his shoulder caught her attention. “Oh, I see Tim. I’m going to go say hi.”
Without hesitation, she brushed past him.
Dick let his head fall, put his hands on his hips, and laughed.
He’d pay her back later tonight. And by ‘pay her back,’ he would just tell her how incredibly hot her behavior had been and basically invite her to do it whenever she damn well pleased.
Dick felt a presence beside him, and he didn’t have to raise his head to know it was Bruce.
“Hey,” Dick greeted him nonchalantly.
“You have lipstick all over your neck,” Bruce told him as he took a sip of his drink and looked around the party. “And your zippers down.”
“Sure is,” Dick sighed.

Tumblr media
The next Monday found you anxiously nursing a coffee, carefully looking over Bakugou’s latest results.
You’d let the model retrain overnight, just to get a more up-to-date picture of Bakugou’s work, and you’d barely slept a wink while it ran, fretting over your first meeting with him. After waking up earlier than ever, you’d found yourself restless all morning, so you’d made your way into Miruko’s agency well ahead of schedule and had spent your time since sucking down coffees and eyeing Bakugou’s assist and rescue scores warily. They still sat well beneath his kill and capture scorings, and you mentally braced yourself for the near impossibility of getting him to prioritize those aspects of his work.
With Mina’s help, you’d been able to con him into working with you. But just because he’d agreed to your bet, you were not stupid enough to think that meant he was going to make anything easy for you.
Bakugou, for his part, seemed the very antithesis of nervous when he met you in the surveillance room. He barged into your makeshift office mid-morning, looking well-rested if annoyed. The door banged loudly off the opposite wall and rebounded closed with a slam that rattled the AV equipment.
“Let’s get this over with,” Bakugou growled, throwing himself down in the seat opposite you. He was dressed in dark training clothes--simple athletic fabrics that suggested that he meant to book it to a training room the second he was done with you. His whole manner suggested you should keep things short.
You sat frozen, fingers paused over your laptop keys. “...Good morning to you too.”
He looked at you incredulously, blonde eyebrows raising. “I didn’t fucking come here for small talk. Get on with it, nerd.”
You suppressed a twitch of irritation, looking away from him where he sat in an agitated pile of strong lines and tense muscle. God you hoped this was all going to be worth it, at the end of things.
You sighed and clicked into the model results screen, knowing it was only going to work him into a lather if you pressed him on social niceties. “Okay, so I did some analysis--”
“Big fucking surprise.”
“--and,” you continued loudly, “as you well know, you need to adjust certain priorities on the field.”
A scoff issued from his direction. “I don’t need to adjust shit.”
It took everything in you not to roll your eyes. He was literally here to discuss adjusting shit. What was the point of him being so defensive?
You eyed him speculatively, taking in the oppositional slant to his broad shoulders, the thin slash of his mouth as he regarded you irritably. Your observations from last week floated to the forefront of your mind, that this was a man who would not easily do anything he didn’t want to do. And it was clear he did not actually want to do this--he had only been baited into it by the grace of his meddling, pink-haired friend.
You mentally resolved to play as nice as you possibly could, to minimize the amount of fussing from his side of things.
“As I think I explained last year,” you began carefully, “the model I train relies on a set of weights, and you’re ranked on that. Your work is divided up into categories: public perception, kills, captures, property damage, rescues, and now assists. Some of those categories are weighted more heavily than others, so if you do well in them, you’ll outperform your peers in the rankings who do just as well in other categories.”
Blood red eyes darted up to a monitor as you projected your laptop screen onto it, the model results translated into neatly organized and color-coded graphs.
“You are unmatched in kills, fairly unmatched in captures as well, and you’ve kept property damage to a surprising minimum in the last few years considering your quirk. You’re also wildly popular, particularly with young people, according to public polls.”
You glossed over the fact that his appearance probably had a lot to do with it, considering the tidal wave of interest from the female bracket of respondents. The fact especially did not bear thinking about when he was alone in a tiny office with you, bare arms and the hard planes of his chest displayed prominently in his training gear.
“Just fucking---out with it,” Bakugou demanded, turning to glare at you again. “I don’t have all damn day.”
The tiniest hint of smoke and sweetness hit your nose as he leaned closer, and you pushed away from him, baring your palms in the universal gesture for peace.
“Okay, okay. So you’re good at those things, but your rescue scores need work, and your assist score puts you in the top ten least cooperative heroes in the entire industry,” you explained, watching as a muscle in his jaw jumped in obvious irritation. “Rescues are the highest weighted category in the rankings model, and assists are the third highest. So no matter how good you are in other areas, you will not surpass anyone who performs well in these categories.”
Bakugou made an annoyed sound, his brows drawing together. “Quit fucking talking to me like I’m a baby. I fucking know--tell me exactly what your fucking nerd-ass model needs me to do and I’ll fucking do it.”
You breathed out of your nose very slowly, quelling the rising tide of annoyance within you. Everything out of his mouth was so abrupt and demanding.
Software engineers, picture the software engineers.
“Okay so I ran deeper analyses on those two categories and compared your movements with generalized results from the top ten heroes from each category,” you continued.
“The thing that stood out in terms of rescues, is that you were almost twice as fast as other heroes to leap into combat with a villain. This means you’re spending less time assessing the situation than other heroes, and therefore spending less time processing victims. So if I had to make a recommendation here, it’s that you should actively look for civilians before jumping into a fight. You might still find that the smarter thing to do is leap into the fight instead of evacuating them, but you at least need to slow down before you do.”
The crease between his brows erased itself and he leaned back in his chair, tension bleeding out of him somewhat, which was--unexpected. You’d have thought he’d get more defensive as you explained his shortcomings to him.
“Fine,” he said shortly. “What else?”
You pulled up two videos and projected them side by side, bright little clusters of dots collected over the location of each hero. “For assists, it looks like when you’re in range of other heroes, you actually do help, at least a little. I only found an issue when I generalized results from the top ten in this category and ran calculations about their movements in comparison to yours.”
You let the videos play, watching Bakugou’s eyes track the movements with unblinking precision. He said nothing as you let the loop repeat, the tense lines of his body inexplicably unravelling even further with each loop. He looked as close to relaxed as you had ever seen him.
After a few loops, he finally let out a scoff. “Those needy fucks stick closer to other heroes,” he concluded gruffly. “That’s what the dots are tracking.”
You nodded. “On average, you move three times farther away from other heroes on scene than the top ten heroes do. So you’re less likely to be in range to help.”
He rolled a powerful shoulder, unwittingly drawing your eyes straight to it. You gave your leg an annoyed pinch under the table, forcing your gaze back up to his face once you realized what you were doing.
“So I have to look for weaklings and stay closer to these b-list fucking clowns, that’s what you’re telling me?” he prompted, running a hand through his mess of blonde hair. It looked unexpectedly soft under his fingers.
You drew your eyes away from him again, focusing hard on the relief you were feeling that he seemed to be processing and internalizing your feedback. “Yeah, you need to assist civilians and stay in range of your team. Those are the only areas in which you really need help.”
There was a sharp crackle, and tense movement caught in the corner of your eye. You turned to find that all of Bakugou’s unease had suddenly returned, a snarl riding his mouth.
“Help?” he demanded. That scent of smoke and sugar suddenly pressed in on you again, sharp and dangerously hot.
You blinked at him in confusion. “...Uh, yeah?”
His gaze darkened and he leaned over the table between the two of you, a calloused hand catching the collar of your shirt to yank you towards him. The corner of the table dug into your ribs, and his fingers were hot where they brushed the skin under your collar.
“I don’t fucking need help,” he spat, crimson eyes boring into your face like a drill. Your hands came up to grab his, trying to untwist it from your shirt, but his fingers only tightened, unyielding.
“What--? Yes you do?” you garbled, fingers scrabbling over his. “What do you--?”
He pulled you further across the table, so that his face was scant inches from your own.
“Fuck you if you think I need anything from you,” he growled in a low tone, voice almost dangerously soft. Your blood iced over in your veins, limbs freezing. He stared at you for a long, heavy moment.
Then, in the next second, you were being shoved backwards into your chair, and then Bakugou was gone, door slamming behind him with a force that shook the walls.
You stared after him in shock, mouth gaping open. He had been fine up until a couple of seconds ago, even seeming to relax under your analysis. But then his temper had suddenly flared for no fucking reason.
What….what the fuck was wrong with him?
Tumblr media
You spent the rest of the morning in a state of restless agitation.
What the literal fuck was wrong with Bakugou? Why had he just stormed out like that? What had flipped the switch for him in the space of mere seconds?
You replayed the conversation in your head nonstop all through your next few meetings and over your lunch break, where you furiously wolfed down a bento without tasting any of it. Your frustration carried you all the way into the afternoon, when a head of wild pink curls poked itself through your door.
You looked up into Pinky’s dark eyes and brilliant smile.
“Y/N!” she chirped happily, closing the door behind her and sprawling into the seat across from you.
You returned her friendly smile. “Ashido-san,” you greeted her politely.
She laughed and waved a rosy hand, leaning forward over the table. “I would never ask stats girl to be formal with me. Call me Mina!”
You huffed an embarrassed laugh. That was sweet, but the nickname stats girl needed to die a brisk and fiery death.
“Mina, then,” you amended, pulling up her model results on your laptop, trying to tamp down on your embarrassment. She was almost overwhelmingly friendly.
Her dark eyes flickered over you curiously and a cautious smile played about her mouth. “Heard it didn’t go well with Katsuki this morning.”
You looked up at her in surprise. “He told you?”
She laughed. “No, I just saw him annihilating a training room. I know him well enough to know when he’s throwing a tantrum.”
An awkward, hot sense of shame welled up within you at the thought that you’d pushed him to that, though you didn’t know how. You got the sense that you’d taken one step forward but two steps back. So much for your promotion.
“Uh yeah, he kind of...stormed out? He’d been listening, actually, and I thought things were going weirdly well. The bet was a good idea, so thank you,” you said. “I just…somehow I screwed it up, I think.”
Mina rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, splaying out flat in her seat. “God, you know what? I’m just so tired of my best friends being guys. They’re so dramatic and so fussy about their tough guy image. And take themselves so seriously, for no reason, even fucking Denki. I have sat every single one of them down and forced them into make up so it’s absolutely baffling to me that they still stomp around like they’re so serious and so tortured.”
Your mouth dropped open as what she’d just said caught up with you. Take themselves seriously...when she’d forced them into make up? “No. Even…?”
Mina smirked. “Oh yeah, even Katsuki. No idea why he thinks he’s such a tough guy when all it takes is a couple of tears and boom, he’s working a smokey eye and tiny little pigtails.”
You choked on a laugh, trying to dispel the horrifying image in your mind of Bakugou in mascara and lipstick. The idea of him in make up was somehow even more intimidating than his usual appearance. You did not want to know more.
It certainly did beg the question, however, why he was such a difficult jerk if it was that easy to get him to acquiesce to something that horrifying. Maybe the answer lay in Mina’s powers of manipulation. She’d known to make the bet with him, after all. And if she knew how to get him into eyeliner and lipstick, then she might know how to get him to agree to let you help him.
“Wow,” you murmured. “That’s...terrifying. How did you even convince him though? I can’t get him to spend more than two seconds around me without blowing his top like a volcano.”
Mina grinned conspiratorially, leaning over the table. “You just have to know how to work him. Trust me, you might have good numbers sense, but I have pretty good people sense. Katsuki is all smoke and fire until you dig underneath.”
You almost did not want to know what was underneath. “That’s--but he’s so volatile. I can’t predict any of it.”
Mina's grin widened. “Actually, it’s pretty straightforward. He’s actually super in control all of the time, even when it seems like he’s lost it. He’s only really sensitive about one thing.”
“For example,” she leaned forward, her smile morphing into something dark and leery. “I heard he burned through your dress at the Hero Awards.”
You put your face in your palm. “Yes. This is what I’m talking about--I thought he was gonna fry me to a crisp.”
Mina snorted, raking a hand through her mess of curls. “Maybe I only see it because my acid is similar--but it’s pretty hard to only burn through a tiny strip of fabric and not touch anything underneath, even if you’re not out of your mind with anger. It requires some precise control. Wouldn’t you say?”
You froze in your seat, staring at her. Implications began to creep over you like a dark shroud. “What?”
She grinned. “He didn’t touch you, right? Only the dress?”
You gaped at her. “Yeah--only the dress.”
She cut her dark eyes to you, looking like she was trying to suppress a laugh. “Very interesting that he managed to sear straight through your dress, then, without burning you. One might think he did it on purpose.”
You floundered. “But I--but he--! I told him to do better and he got all worked up and intense!”
Mina laughed out loud. “I bet he did. Katsuki’s a total control freak but he loves a challenge. That’s why he took your bet, and that’s why your meeting didn’t go as poorly as you thought it might at first, and that’s why he was so fixated on you after the Awards.”
Your face heated. “Don’t put it like that.”
She chuckled. “I don’t know how you feel about him, but I can guarantee he’s very interested in you. He loves girls who don’t take any of his shit. Why do you think he signed with Miruko? It’s actually kinda gross,” she made a face.
Your face was on fire. A hot wave of embarrassment washed through you and you resisted the urge to dive under the table and hide. This is not the turn you thought the conversation would be taking.
“Uh, so,” you managed, fingers fluttering. “So--um, why did he freak out earlier then? I did tell him everything he was doing wrong. But then he lost it, I think when I told him I would help.”
Mina’s grin settled back into place. “He’s so fucking predictable. He hates being looked down on, and the word help implies that you think he’s weak enough to need it. I’ll bet you anything that’s why he totally flipped.”
You considered this. “But I didn’t mean it like that--”
“It doesn’t matter. He’s got a very specific way of looking at things. He’s way better than he used to be but that’s the one thing he’s still sensitive about.”
You mulled that over. It did explain, then, why he’d reacted so poorly when he’d seemed to be fine with your critique. “Does he really need to be seen as strong that badly?”
Mina picked idly at the fluff on her costume’s jacket, thin fingers tangling in the white strands. “He has insane expectations for himself, and he’s only comfortable when everyone else has those too. It’s like if you think he can’t live up to those standards, that you don’t truly see him.”
So that was it. The mystery of Bakugou’s volatile nature explained--a weirdly deep-seated inferiority complex wrapped up in layers of crankiness and--you blushed--an interest in girls who gave him shit. You quickly buried any considerations on his romantic inclinations, and focused on the inferiority complex.
Whether you’d intended to or not, this morning you had managed to convey to him that you thought he was incapable, and not in a way that personally challenged him like the bet had, or your demand he do better at the Hero Awards. It was so ridiculous, you thought, but then so was he. And if you wanted to make any progress on your promotion, then you were gonna have to suck it up and work within those constraints.
You sighed. You owed him an explanation, maybe even an apology.
Mina regarded you approvingly from across the table. You also owed her a drink. Maybe several.
“Got it,” you acknowledged, clicking back into your model results and pulling up her ranking analyses. “And thank you--I owe you a ton. Now let’s get to what we came here to do which is to talk about how you can kick even more ass.”
Mina grinned, leaning forward in delight. “You’re welcome. And hell yeah, this conversation was so not passing the Bechdel test.”
You snorted, suppressing a wild smile. Oh, you really liked her.
You would apologize and get things back on track with Bakugou. And once Bakugou netted you your promotion, you were gonna turn back and rocket Mina up the rankings to give him a run for his money.
