Winter
The wind blows high, the wind blows low, The buried prairies in the snow Lie warm and deep. Safe under Winter's soft white wing A little seedling dreams of spring, Stirs in its sleep.
The wind has gone, and softly come Small furry friends from drifted home, Hungry — a fright — The marks of tiny footsteps show, Like frozen music-notes, on snow All silent, white. by Mary Baldwin

Winter Poem
once a snowflake fell on my brow and i loved it so much and i kissed it and it was happy and called its cousins and brothers and a web of snow engulfed me then i reached to love them all and i squeezed them and they became a spring rain and i stood perfectly still and was a flower

I keep on pouring my feelings out, like snow they land on the ground and pile up, for others to step on them

O bleak midwinter, you're mother, no king
of a paradise in bloom: you named spring.
Time is aching, at the stillness of your trail—
O little flowers, rise and wail!
You're bride, no queen
of a season to be young, of a season: oh so pristine!
The sun has learnt to starve, to hide, to rue—
A sky under your veil, and a world of something blue.
O wintertide! No court would do you right.
For, you are mother. For, you are bride.

kent (wintertime)
Highstreet stones spiral in the night, blurring through drunken eyes and bitter air, as to Westgate we goaded our swollen bodies. In our stupor we dared the sky to swallow us, and soon the sun obliged, and killed the dark as we fell asleep beneath the archway.

Snow began falling late last night. Wet flakes dropping past windows, snow covering the skylights. We watched for a time, surprised and happy. Glad to be here, and nowhere else.

Fuar an Ocras
Bhí mé sa foraois sean Áit fuar an ocras bí A fiacla go leor ag greim Mo riocht le ciúin faoi
An sneachta coimeád thit An oighear ag bris mo féith… Mo críoch thaggan anois Agus mothaigh mé gach noimead.
As Bearla (In English) (I was in the old forest Where the hungry cold lives Its many teeth biting My quiet body The snow keeps falling The ice breaks my veins My end is now and i feel every second)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A little poem As Gaeilge i had to do for class, was kinda happy with it so i thought id share here too :> Unfortunately, it loses its rhyme scheme in English :<

There is something so poignant about this time of year.
So much happiness and love all around, yet constantly weighed done with such loneliness. Like standing inside a glass box or trying to see through a fogged window.
Like belonging is just a step a way, but the snow is too deep to move.
