So, this is my Star Wars OC, Valeria “Val” Calrayne. She’s a humble waitress at Dex’s Diner who regularly sees our favourite Jedi as he’s passing through. They have a strong friendship that eventually blossoms into something more. I might one day turn it into a proper fanfic, but for now I’ve wrote a lil synopsis of their story that’s below the cut!

Dex's Diner, a lively eatery on Coruscant, is a haven for locals and travellers alike. Val, a well-meaning yet slightly clumsy waitress, brightens the day of everyone who walks through the door. Obi-Wan Kenobi, a wise and respected Jedi Knight, is a regular customer, finding respite from his Jedi duties in the comfort of Dex's Diner.

On a bustling day at the diner, Val's endearing clumsiness is on full display. As she rushes across the crowded diner with a tray full of delectable dishes, she accidentally trips over her own feet, sending the contents of the tray soaring into the air. In a twist of fate, Obi-Wan, sitting nearby, instinctively uses the Force to levitate and catch the falling food, avoiding a culinary catastrophe.

With plates miraculously suspended mid-air, Val locks eyes with Obi-Wan, their hearts skipping a beat in the momentary silence. Val, overcome with embarrassment, stammers an apology, but Obi-Wan's warm smile puts her at ease.

Val's shifts at Dex's Diner become the highlight of Obi-Wan's visits. He finds himself mesmerised by her vivacious energy and endearing quirks. Meanwhile, Val can't help but be drawn to Obi-Wan's wisdom, bravery, and gentle demeanour.

Yet, their burgeoning connection unfolds against a backdrop of imminent doom. News of crippling tax legislation and mounting debts threaten to swallow Dex's Diner whole. Val, fuelled by an unwavering determination to protect the place she holds dear, makes it her mission to save the cherished establishment.

Recognising the diner's dire situation, Obi-Wan extends his assistance to Val. Together, they combine their strengths and engage in a collaborative brainstorming session to revive the eatery's dwindling fortunes. Their innovative ideas come to life as they introduce themed nights filled with live entertainment, tantalising new additions to the menu, and strategic partnerships with local media stations. Slowly but surely, these initiatives breathe new life into the beloved establishment.

Working side by side, their shared goal brought them closer. Late nights were filled with laughter, secret glances, and clandestine moments in the empty diner after closing time. As they work together to find a solution, their bond deepens, but Obi-Wan's commitment to the Jedi Code weighs heavily on his heart.

As their efforts to save Dex's Diner intensify, tension builds, and the threat of closure looms larger than ever. Obi-Wan feels torn between his duty as a Jedi Knight and his desire to support Val and the diner's community. Val, unaware of Obi-Wan's internal struggle, becomes frustrated with his increasing emotional distance, fuelling her existing insecurities.

Amidst the chaos, a moment of truth arrives when Dex's Diner is served with a final notice of closure. Devastated, Val succumbs to disillusionment, fearing that all hope is lost. Obi-Wan, realising the depth of his feelings for Val, must summon his Jedi wisdom to save not only the diner but also the home of the woman who has captured his heart.

In a valiant last-ditch effort, Obi-Wan taps into his Jedi contacts to rally the support of prominent figures on Coruscant who have a stake in preserving the vibrant spirit of the diner. The entire community comes together, organising protests to save the beloved eatery.

Inspired by the overwhelming show of unity, the authorities ultimately reconsider their decision. Dex's Diner is saved, and a joyous celebration ensues. Obi-Wan and Val, swept up in the magic of the moment, share a private moment where they finally express their true feelings for each other.
